Clinton and Obama Bounce Between NC and Indiana
ABC News’ Eloise Harper and Sunlen Miller report: Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, in her final swing across North Carolina before the primary vote there Tuesday continued to drive her three main points against her opponent, arguing her plans for health care, home foreclosure and suspending the federal gas tax during the summer months are better than her Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.
In a lighter moment, Clinton tried to appeal to North Carolinians in the town of High Point with a twinge of a southern accent speaking about BBQ.
On that topic Clinton said the only question she will not answer in this campaign is about which BBQ she prefers.
“We have had the best time. We have eaten BBQ from one end of this state to the other. You know for a while I was a little worried because every sighting of my husband was going into or going out of a BBQ joint. And I said, ‘I hope his cardiologist doesn’t read that.’ But then I kind of got into the swing of it too, and I said the only question I will not answer in this campaign is — which is the best BBQ. I’ve made plenty of mistakes in my life, but I’m not walking into that one.”
Clinton again criticized her opponent for not accepting her gas tax relief proposal saying, “Sen. Obama wants you to pay the gas tax this summer – instead of trying to get it so the oil companies pay it out of their record profit. I believe that we should start standing up for the vast majority of Americans who are paying these outrageous prices.”
Clinton also said that as president, she would try to sue OPEC — the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, which controls the price of two-thirds of the world’s oil supply.
“We’re going to go after OPEC which remember is a monopoly cartel," Clinton said. "There’s nothing free-market about it. They sit in some conference room a couple of times a year and decide how much oil they are going to produce and how much they are going to charge for it. So lets change our laws so we can sue them on anti-trust reasons.”
Clinton also said her opponent doesn’t cover everyone in his health care plan and also pointed out that they differ on their mortgage crisis relief plans. “This is a big difference between me and my opponent in this campaign. I have been saying for over a year we need to take on the Wall Street bankers and the mortgage bankers that misled so many people into these sub-prime mortgages.”
After spending the morning in North Carolina, Clinton heads to Indiana, which is also voting Tuesday, where she will finish her day with several more campaign stops.
Meanwhile Obama toured Indiana and courted the white, blue collar crowd, dropping in on a construction site as workers filtered in on first shift with lunch pails and hard hats. Afterward, he hit the buffet at a labor union breakfast in Evansville, Indiana.
Obama spoke about his chances in the race that has tightened significantly over the past few weeks.
“I think our chances are good. I mean we’ve had a good week of campaigning,” Obama said about his time spent in Indiana, “We’re working as hard as we can and I desperately want every vote here in Indiana and in North Carolina.”
In the last 24 hours leading up to election day, Obama and Clinton will be bouncing back and forth between North Carolina and Indiana.
“This is gonna be a tight election here in Indiana,” Obama said at a labor union breakfast in Evansville, Indiana, where the Senator discussed his opposition to Clinton’s gas tax relief proposal.
“It’s a stunt, its what Washington does, this isn’t the first time its been proposed, its proposed every two years,” he said and suggested that a second stimulus check would be a better solution for short term relief.
“That would help people immediately relieve some crisis and that’s money that you know wont be sopped up by oil companies.”
“Those aren’t just words ‘cause I’m gonna be following through. But I need your help to get me there,” Obama said and asked for the union members to help him get out the vote tomorrow.
The lanky Illinois senator moseyed over to the breakfast buffet table and noted that he’d lost some weight over his 15 month run, “I’ve been losing weight on this campaign. I hope there are some biscuits and grits.”

Obama, your time is up; is time for you to move on and get back to Washington and learn how to pass legislation. You have had way to much fun and your speeches are not convincing anymore.

In Hillarys 35 years of experience when has she ever gone after any elite power (except on the campaign trail to get votes)? I live in NY with the highest taxes in the union ans she has never as senator ever done anything to reduce taxes AS THEY STEADILY GO UP.

News reports today show the number of FL hispanic democrats exceed hispanic republicans giving dems the possibility of winning FL in the GE. Given the demographics of the state most likely to support Clinton as also shown by the polls, the DNC Bylaws committee must look hard at their decision regarding the seating of FL delegates. I know they met on May 31 to hear arguments and that only 50% of the committee are Clinton supporters. Does anyone else find it strange we have not heard the decision? The DNC continues to show its cowardice and incompetence to run elections. Hopefully, the centrist members of the DNC will override the stupid decisions of its leadership to disenfranchise FL voters when the FL state dem party did nothing wrong.

jAyjAy – HRC is a Senator representing the state of NY in the Federal Government. If you blame her on high Federal Taxes, it perfectly fine, but if you complain about your high State Taxes, blame your potato governors and state legislature.

Obama lost weight because he cannot stomach food that real people eat. He must be used to those fancy restaraunts where they serve tiny portions where the chef treats your food like an art project and drizzles stuff on the plate.

the state of NY has higher taxes than the federal. Again my point she has done nothing to reduce state tax on gas. Obama did in his state & learned from the mistake so now oposes it.

The Guam election remains uncertified as we wait for the result of the review of 500 spoiled ballots and they look for about 3600 missing ballots. The Pacific News Center poll shows 67% of people do not believe the 7 vote margin was credible in Guam. The outcome will likely not change the 2-2 pledged delegate split but there are 5 SD’s for Guam that make more of a difference. With every delegate and SD important in this race, Guam has become a player.

DCV makes another interest point.
The DNC should consider changing The Rules after the fact to Benefit Hillary. Better yet let Hillary decide which rules to change and which rules to Keep.
Now if DCV can just convince Obama to accept her plan….Hillary could be WINNING!

Obama proposes tax cuts for the middle class. We don’t need tax cuts! we need jos, better pay better benefits. I am willing to pay my taxes. Just give me the money to do so. Hillary has always fought for workers rights. Obama is a radical who cares more about third world countries than our own citizens. there is no way to pay for all of his proposed plans. all americans want is the right to earn a living!

if obama happens to hold on and win the dem nomination, as many already know, he wont win the general election. I like many other Hillary supporters see thru Obama, how fake and how nasty of a person he really is. All you have to do is look at his spiritual advisor. I will be voting mccain in November if Obama is on the ticket

Brand new Gallup /USA Today poll shows Hillary leading Obama by 7 points – a complete reversal from 2 weeks ago when Obama led by 10 points.
Gee wonder if the wacky Reverend Wright and Obama’s stuttering, stammering explanations/excuses about this mess had anything to do with it.
Obama is now unelectable in the general election because he sat in that pew (with his young children) and said NOTHING for 20 years, knowing FULL WELL of these hateful and divisive comments.
He say’s he will bring Change to this country – why didn’t he have the guts or the will to bring change to his church?
HILLARY or NOBODY in 2008!

Obama wants to contemplate how “things” “change” just by hoping they will. He does not want to put an effort in planing, projecting, working, fighting for America. He does not even want to debate or answer direct questions on issues or character. He is trying to be the Democrat nominee just because he writes good (parphrased and little plagiarized) speeches, other than that he does not have anything to offer and a lot doubts about his merits and past.

I am tired of Bill Clinton’s ‘aw shucks good ‘ol boy Kar Rovian style of politics. Wake up people look at the facts in North Carolina. In 1990 goods-producing employment accounted for more than 40 percent of rural jobs. By 2003, that number had fallen to 29 percent of employment in rural areas. Over 100,000 goods-producing employment jobs were lost in North Carolina under Bill Clinton and I see nothing ABSOLUTELY nothing in Hillary’s platform that is different. Obama may not have all the answers, but he doesn’t pander. I do not want Bill Clinton back in the White House. I know the definition of what “is” … “is” and what NC job loss was.

It’s just too scary. If Hillary doesn’t get it I will need to go with McCain.

The handwritting is on the wall here.
Come Wednesday we are gonna find out that Hillary needs to win 85% of the remaining pledged delegates just to catch up to Obama in that category.
So Hillary’s only hope is to conspire party fats cats in the smoke room to swipe the nomination from Obama.

I never liked the Clinton’s while they he was in office, but I think anyone has to admire Hillary’s intestinal fortitude. Despite the set backs she’s had, from mis-steps of her own making to those perpetrated against her by former allies and her husband, she keeps on fighting. She’s certainly not a quitter, shrinking violet etc. She might just have what it takes to make a strong leader of this nation.

President Bush just announced “It’s been a while in the making and IT’S GOING TO BE A WHILE that we solve the problem,” Bush said in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Mr. Obama agrees with President Bush that it’s GOING TO BE A WHILE as he will have to investigate the issue when he is President. Hillary Clinton realizes that there is an immense problem that needs to be address but giving the American public a “break” over the summer months will help the economy in many ways besides putting a few dollars back in our pocketbooks. Mr. Obama says you will only save $28.00, but then he is basing this fact that you only filling up your tank once a month and he is not considering gas prices rising over the summer months, and he is not considering the American public and the failing economy right now. This is the man you want to be President! A break for middle class America although small is more welcomed news than go take a hike—no breaks. Yes, Mr. Obama points out that you can’t trust the oil companies and they will get back the losses —but in the meantime more people will have enough gas to take one more trip that they normally would take and perhaps buy or spend some monies to help the economy.

“I understand how badly people are hurting. If we”re serious about helping them, let”s provide them some relief, but let”s not pretend that we”re doing something by suggesting a gas tax holiday that will not be paid for and frankly, it is very unlikely that you”d see President George Bush sign,” Obama told CNN Monday. ”
No wander Congress has done nothing because Busch will veto anything anyway.
The best solution is to vote ”present”. Bunch smart fools.

Evidently you broke nothing down but if the tax is .18 cents a gallon and you save $28.00 that equals 155.55 gallons of gas.
That is one hell of abig gas tank.
My wife is a blonde also and talks without thinking.

I know a lot of people(mainly Obama supporters), are jumping on Clinton about the gas tax. I say, at least she is trying to get something done. Obama, favors Bush in this, in that he wants to weight awhile. Lifting .18 cents per gallon will mean a lot for people. We fill up more than once a month. And, look at the truck drivers who use hundreds of gallons of gas! I applaud Hillary. Even though she is campaigning HARD right now, she is out there trying to help the American people. What is Obama trying to do? Looks like he just wants to fill people with his lies and think he will automatically become President? He is being vetted more and more now and I’m glad. Wednesday morning, when he wakes up and realizes that Hillary has won Indiana and North Carolina, maybe then he will stop and think that he should have been up front and truthful to America from the beginning.

Sympathetic to Bill Clinton in the White House, I’d read about Hillary’s accomplishments when she was still the first lady of Arkansas. It was impossible not be to impressed with her credentials. Now I find both of them appalling. I suggest the best way to solve the Obama-Clinton impasse would be to elect not one but two Democratic presidents: Clinton for the few big states, Obama for the all the others. Now I hope the super delegates will show both the Clintons the door, and not the one on Pennsylvania Avenue.

I believe that Obama has handled this ‘gas holiday’ better than Hillary did. He bases his statements on facts garnered from economists in the know, where Hillary is not giving any evidence that the gas savings will actually benefit the American people. This is only one of the points that bothers me (and possibly many others). Understanding how influential media is in presenting these points (not necessarily the facts)of each candidate, the employment of research into the accomplishments of each is necessary in order to make the right choice. Use of the internet for such research at best, results in a co-mingling of views. This again, results in separating ‘points’ from ‘facts’. However, the facts are there.
This Rev. Wright business is thrown out there to create confusion and in many cases explosive controversies. Any intelligent person will recognize the imbalance of this, particularly if they dig into the history of Hillary Clinton. A point of fact – In attacking Obama with the ‘guilt by association’ issue, an equally damaging association could be Hillary’s relationship with Jean Houston, founder of ‘Foundation of Mind Research, 1965; The Possible Society, 1984; The Mystery School’. Houston’s past influence had reached even the White House. During numerous lengthy stays with Hillary Clinton, Houston has led the First Lady into guided imagery (meditation) sessions to contact and consult with Eleanor Roosevelt (Newsweek, July 1, 1996). Now in and of itself this doesn’t raise any many brows, but when understanding Houston’s background, we find that she and her husband Robert Masters, developed the ASCID (Altered States of Consciousness Induction Device) better known as ‘the Witches Cradle. Now why doesn’t this raise any controversy? Again, intelligent people have to question if Hillary is guided in her decisions by mediums. President Regan and his wife Nancy would use Jean Dixon’s help in the White House, and this didn’t sit well with Congress or the American people. I consider mediums to be ‘oridinary’ people, and would hate to think that an ‘ordinary’ person was influencing the decisions on how this country was run.

Out of touch people do not realize that it is $28 per month per car. For the one car family that can help a perosn by medicine or food. For the two car family we double it. This is not just a slight savings for people who are middle America and especially the low-income Americans. Clinton is right because she will integrate it into a long-range plan that prevents the oil companies from raising prices to cover their loss, McCain is wrong because he has no way to pay for it, Bush and his cousin Obama are wrong because they are elitists who have no clue just how bad things are for most Americans.

It took Obama 3 times to leard this lesson (?) and 20 years on Rev. Wright. I guess, he has no judgement and slow to learn.

You can not be so shallow and judge Obama for what his pastor has said or done. Just as you can’t judge Hilary for Bill has done. You have to rethink you logic. We’ll I hope you do anyway!!!

Ahh, Rev Wright again…..so I guess all of us practicing catholics should denounce the catholic church since it doesn’t approve of abortion or gay rights, but those of us that do should leave the flock?? Or maybe I should be labeled a pro-life hater or gay hater because I’m catholic???

OK. Give Hillary credit for coming up with an idea for the poor people. Well actually, she copied it from McCain (plegerism?). Now that she came up with the idea and analyzed it and the analysis shows it just won’t work, move on. Don’t try to push it down our throats because it polls well with people who don’t understand the cost. Then she used it to threaten other elected officials, “I want to know who’s with us and who’s against us.” I think she used that line to show remaining supers that she will try to break them if they don’t nominate her.

Obama has little chance of beating mccain if he happens to beat hillary which i dont think will happen…i think the superdelegates will wake up and see what a joke this man is and what a coward he is…If he felt that Mr Wrights comments were out of line, why not stop going to the church? why not let another pastor baptize your children rather than this hate filled man? i mean, obama is so 2 faced..doing and saying anythign to win and its finally catching up to him..hopefully not too late

The Holiday gas tax is a TEMPORARY measure to aid every day families combat our economic crisis. The Holiday gas tax is a short-term solution, which is better than NOTHING. She has also developed plans designed to impact the problem in the long-term including alternative energy sources to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. She also plans to initiate legal suits against OPEC.
At least Hillary has a near-term plan, rather than just another Obama-opposition distraction.
Now back to Obama’s familial-like relationships with terrorists, anti-Semites, racial separatists, and anti-Americans…

greenie – if you are referring to the opinions of the economists who advised Bush, Wall Street, and the dem elite, i recommend you reconsider listen to so called experts that got us into this mess in the first place… these are the same people who work for the energy companies and the republicans… the richest most successful man in the world Warren Buffett supports Clinton’s plans and criticizes the rich for not doing enough for the people and paying higher taxes. The Clintons and Buffett are long time humanitarians who pay more than they have to in taxes and have significant charitable contributions and efforts to share their wealth. Buffett knows of what he speaks and that is good enough for me.

Emily — Far-left and far-right agendas don’t work in this day and age. The majority is in the middle (bell curve folks) and that is where a candidate needs to be if you want to push any sort of agenda. That is why McCain is palatable for 30%+ Hillary supporters, which translates into a McCain presidency if Obama is the nominee.

Apparently the negative picture painted by the RNC for the past 29 years is no longer a problem. I do feel that Obama, playing the race card, has split the Democratic voters into. There is no solidity anymore and the GOP is loving it! We’ve seen the two candidates, know their platforms, and we know that Hillary is the clear choice for the nomination!

The greatest instance of pandering in this entire election cycle has been Obama’s recent divorce of his pastor, Rev. Wright. In a last ditch effort to garner the votes of blue-collar whites, he delivered his strongest denunciation of his long-time pastor.
Only now he is able to come to this conclusion? Sitting in the pews for almost 20 years and only when he is running for POTUS he makes this decision?
That is pandering at its finest. The man has poor judgment and terrible loyalty to those who care for him.
Posted by: LOM | May 5, 2008, 5:02 pm 5:02 pm
-KEVIN-
Rev. J. Wright was like Obama’s family, uncle, mentor, spiritual advisor, campaign religious advisor and could never turn him away. It took Obama 20 years to turn away from this hatefilled, racist and anti-American pastor. This proves there is a lack of judgement and 20 years and an election to get him to fess-up.

Obama voted for the tax holiday TWICE!!!! In Illinois!
When it’s suggested by his competition, he belittles it….. but as a temporary band-aid…. and going after the big oil guys….. it makes sense.
And let’s face it: all that rebate money you’re receiving and enjoying just about now could ALSO have been spent on funding new jobs!
Hillary has a great brain and a lot of grit…… and I approve of her as my candidate!

Tell me something, because none of the news networks will mention this: Both McCain and Clinton propose lifting the 18 cent gas tax this summer. Since both of them are potential GOP and DNC nominees, how do they propose to do this BEFORE they are elected? Are they going to talk George Bush into lifting the gas tax for 3 months this summer? Are they going to talk Congress into lifting the gas tax? Just how can they promise such a thing BEFORE they are elected? I can see how they MIGHT be able to accomplish this AFTER they are elected, but how can they do it before Jan 2008?? Or is this just empty promises to get votes?

You have a good point. But let me tell you what happened. My brother’s wife is black, so i have been around lots of black folks and know what happened here with Rev. Wright. This is what happened: people like Wright are common in the black community. Most black folks his age are angry, and justifably so. To them, not much has changed since the days they sat in the back of the bus. When i hang out with my brother’s family, i hear crap like this all the time. What do we do when we hear it? We laugh it off. We laugh it off because it is so common, if you took offense each time, that’s all you’ll be doing the rest of your life. The older generation see life differently from how younger black folks see it. Obama should have simply said this. He obviously heard some of that mess. But it didn’t shock him because it is COMMON with black men that age. They are angry, and they should be. It is common and it is not a big deal. I mean, my grandpa was very mad when my brother came home with a black girl. He said all sorts of crazy things about whites and blacks not mixing. Does that mean he is racist? Maybe. But he got over it and things are cool. We just laugh it off. It’s not a big deal. Anybody that thinks this Rev. Wright crap is a big deal, is extremely naive or just lying like Obama.

Unlikely that most Hillary supporters won’t vote for Obama? I think a whole lot of Hillary supporters -and Obama supporters – would vote for a sock puppet before voting Republican. It’s all about issues and about change this year. I like McCain, but I’m afraid it’s not his time. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

We can argue all day long how good a candidate Clinton is or how bad the economy is or about the mess in Iraq. That will still not change the basic character of Obama who has shown himself to be a highly prejudiced person, unfit to be President of the U.S.

They want to upset people who supported Obama, before they did. Now however it is too late for them to jump ship. They have already cast their vote for the wrong candidate and are trying to create havok for the Obama supporters. Obama claimed for the record that he HAD TO WIN Indiana. Remember folks ?
Remember that he said it was the TIE BREAKER?
Survey USA says Clinton is up by 12 in indiana as of today.
Survey USA has also been spot on for every primary so far. Be it for Obama or Clinton.
How does Obama make up 12 points by tomorrow ?
We demand that Obama be held accountable for this loss. He had no more exuses this time. His problem with wright was his own doing. He went to the church for 20 years.
It will dog him thru the general election.
We need to start holding Obama to the same standards as Clinton.
If he loses indiana and wins North Carolina by less than 10 points, we demand he drops out.

Thanks TomDavie for sharing the recent polls. I’m sure Hillary will take Indiana, and if she doesn’t win NC, she will only lose by single digits. A spokesman for the Obama campaign said if this happens, it will be a MAJOR concern for Obama on electability. We know Clinton will taken Kentucky and West Virginia. I think Clinton is right. Wednesday morning will be a different ball game between her and Obama. I don’t see the SuperD’s endorsing him overwhelmingly if this happens. Remember, they DO have the right to change their minds, even after they have endorsed a candidate. Hillary 08 !

Ok, i get it now. Obama’s words will now determine the elction. He said Indiana will be a tiebreaker, so if he loses, why don’t we just all saddle up and give it to Hillary heh? My God, there is no end to the stupidity from these Hillary people.
And for the record: SurveyUSA has been WRONG on every single poll. They always inflate Hillary’s numbers only to recalibrate it the day before to be closer to the average. They predicted she would win Pennsylvania by 14 points and then a day later changed it to 6. I think Hillary will win Indiana. But to think she will win it by 12 points is absolute madness. According to their poll, Hillary is getting 21% of the black vote in Indiana. That made me laugh so hard, i spilled coffee on my shirt. Let me CAP it for you idiots so you can understand it clearly: HILLARY WILL NOT WIN 21% OF THE BLACK VOTE IN INDIANA.

OBAMA: “What I’ve said is my top priority is making sure people are able to get enough to eat. If it turns out we need to make changes in our ethanol policy to help people get something to eat, that has got to be the step we take,” said Obama, D-Ill., on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“We have rising food prices around the United States. In other countries, we’re seeing riots because of the lack of food supply, so this is something we’re going to have to deal with,” he said.
CLINTON: “What we need to do is accelerate the research into farm waste and into other cellulosic plant materials. Because, I think, instead of using the corn, let’s figure out if we can use the corn cob,” she said. “Let’s figure out if we can use the corn stalk. Let’s figure out what other kind of food, you know, waste we can use.”
Clinton added: “In the short run, we’ve got to work with our farmers and with like-minded people around the world to figure out how this increasing use in biofuels, which is part of our answer to our dependence on foreign oil, does not undermine food production and really accelerate the prices.”
IS THIS A JOKE??? OBAMA RESPONSE IS THAT WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE PEOPLE HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT???? THANKS FOR STATING THE OBVIOUS!!!
MEANWHILE CLINTON GIVES A DETAILED, THOUGHFUL RESPONSE.
I’VE TRIED TO LIKE OBAMA, BUT GIVE ME A BREAK, THE MAN IS OUT OF HIS LEAGUE.

Vanessa, Obama won all those states by big margins, but that was before March, when voters finally started to learn about his associations. If he were running in those states today, it’s doubtful he would repeat that.

You heard it here first. You Obama maniacs will suffer a big psychological blow when Hillary takes Indiana by a considerable 9 points, and she too takes North Carolina by 7. So, to soften the blow caused by the loss, I’d recommend you start planning by buying a bunch of hankies.

Obama needs to go back to Washington and start fighting for some funding for his own district of south Chicago the place is in shambles and plagued with crime. he has done nothing for the people who live there. His cries for change need to start there first.

This gas tax issue has really made me take a harder look at HRC & I find her wanting.
If she is willing to push this proposal that will not benefit the American people, just so that she will get votes, there is no telling what she will do as President to get her own way.
This I have a serious issue with, because as we have seen, it is not always the case that what she wants will be good for America.
This really questions her judgement in my eyes. I want someone who I can rely on. I cannot rely on her. I would prefer to vote McCain than vote for her.
Come tomorrow, I will vote Obama.

For those of you fooled into thinking Hillary has a better chance to beat repubs than Obama: Think on this, I live in the reddest state in the Union I have four friends that are republicans. Two of them say they will vote for Obama because they’ve heard him and his ideas and they like him. The other two, still voting McCain. One thing was universal among all 4 of them. They all HATE Hillary.

If Florida and Michigan votes are not counted I think democrats should stay home and not vote in November. This would show the party officials that they messed up the party so badly that they are not deserving of the White House.
FLORIDA AND MICHIGAN VOTES WILL BE COUNTED…AND HILLARY WILL BE PRESIDENT!

Clinton supporters, you are all blind, short sighted, power hungary, blind following the blind. Stop! Start being future minded for your children and hope for the best in you and millions supporting Obama. Look at all the people behind Obama, black and white all wanting a change for the sake of all humanity. Obama came from nowhere, unknown and see what he has archieved in this race in terms of following and raising funds unlike Clinton who takes the name from her husband and has based her race. Go Obama
Posted by: pana | May 5, 2008, 7:12 pm 7:12 pm
What has Obama achieved? Answer: NOTHING
Obama is a junior Senator who claims to be able to bring people together for “change”. However, if you look at his record in the Senate, Obama has never reached across the aisle to work with a GOP Senator on any major legislation. Obama is a blank slate and the only way to judge him is via his associations with his long time mentor and friend, Rev. Wright, his unrepentant terrorist friend, Bill Ayers, his friend on trial for corruption, Rezko, and so on and so on. Obama’s followers cannot name any major accomplishment of substance and support him for, I guess, his good looks and ability to read a teleprompter.

Not just color of skin, but religion, sexual prefernce, etc. The MSM is much to blame for this, they have set this country back 50 years. I’m sure Hillary has solutions, but,I really don’t think that she’s as knowledgeable as she boasts. She doesn’t look for results beyond the immediate, she’s kind of a here and now girl, talking about the war, nafta, cafta, gas and oil and healthcare. Everything beyond short term has blew up in hillary’s face and Americans have paid the price, maybe we should try someone who actually has an open mind. I mean congress will have to legislate everything anyway, we just needs someone with enough sense to sign what congress sends them if it helps us out. I say go out in the millions and vote obama, if not obama then ron paul.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – and if I’m wrong, PLEASE someone correct me and provide the source of your correction – as far as I know, you can write in the name of anyone if they’re not actually on the ballot. IF HRC FAILS TO MAKE THE NOMINATION, AND YOU BELIEVE SHE IS THE BEST CANDIDATE, WRITE HER IN ON THE BALLOT!!! And vice verse. Just because a candidate is not nominated by the party, doesn’t mean you can’t write in your favorite. But above all, don’t vote McCain if Obama makes the nomination, that’s insane. Calm down, everyone, vote for whomever you think would be best for POTUS.

Wright was telling the truth about a government that supported slavery, lynching, segregation, civil rights violations. Come on man stop spreading the hate, I saw Wright he was funny to me, he doesn’t hate white people no more than you or I do, one thing that stood out to me was why can’t america just say I’m sorry. I wish they would so everyone could just shut up and move on.

If you want Clinton and Obama wins you got to vote Obama. We must kick the republicans out of our white house, they have taken away our civil liberties and abused the priviledge of being our representatives by not listening to us, so america, listen to me if your consceince is telling you something else, We must, not an option, must vote democrat. Just name one major government program that works well and does not have a lot of top heavy overhead where most of the money goes. I bet you can’t. More inefficient, top heavy and do as I tell you or else government programs is what you will get if you vote for Obama or Clinton. The free market and creativity of the American people is what makes this country work, solves problems and produces all the products and services the people really want and need. Not government.

Senator Obama has been ahead every day since Iowa. That is if you use the DNC rules as a guage. Even though Hillary lost 14 in a row, people gave her a second chance – which is more than fair.
She cannot win the nomination even if she does well today, because he is so far ahead.
He will win the states that she and he have won during this primary. For example, can you imagine New York going for McCain? Folks, cool off, the Democrats will take back the White House in November.
We are blessed to have a great leader of his magnitude. With 1.5 million individual donors each giving from $1- $2,300, it assures me we are on solid footing and our Country is becoming better every day.

I am so sick of eberyone talking about the working white class people! What about the working black class people, as usual we are always put on the back burner. I don’t understand why whites votersare more important than black, we might make up only 12.2% of the population but dems. can not win without us. I get so sick of the media focusing on the working white vote, give me a break we knew a lot of whites would not vote for Obama that is why we came out in record numbers and supported him.

Talk about being sick of hearing rehtoric, I am sick of hearing how educated Obama’s supporters are. Half the blacks voting for him have not even completed high school. The black vote will come “home to roost” in nov, as the messiah will fail along with the radical left of the party.
Obama’s campaign has made this primary a race issue and the blacks are voting for him simply because he is black, THATS AN EDUCATED VOTER? What about what’s good for the country?
He will never connect with the working white male before the election because he has already disenfranchised them. If he thinks he can win with just the black vote and the elite left of the party, he is very mistaken.
I have already changed to Independent and when I talked to the election board in my county, they said they have noticed others doing as well. So you superdelegates take notice the uniter has already divided the party.
The incompetence of the DNC led by Dean, Pelosi and Reid has created the situation in Fla / Mich. Do you honestly think the voters in those states will forgive you for taking away their voting rights?
Again, you superdelegates better wake up!
