Clinton Returns to Puerto Rico … And the Dancing Continues
ABC News’ Eloise Harper reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton arrived two hours late Friday night to her rally in downtown San Juan. She spoke for nine minutes but didn’t leave her event without pulling some dance moves onstage. Renowned Puerto Rican musician Juan Luis Guerra played reggaeton and Latin techno music. Clinton smiled onstage as she danced with supporters.
Clinton spent last weekend dancing through the island. Last Sunday morning, she swayed to the music in an evangelical church, followed by more dancing in Boqueron Beach and then did a little shimmy with a Fox news producer in old San Juan, clutching an El Presidente beer.
Perhaps tradition will hold and Clinton will continue to dance her way through this weekend.

She’ll be at home weeping.

I’m sorry but who really cares about Puerto Rico, they can’t even vote in the GE. They are not a state but if they are allowed to vote in the primary then why not the GE.

I hope the spirit of my old dear friend, Lydia, is there dancing along with Hillary and and bringing her some good news in old San Juan, the hometown Lydia loved. It sounds like a place full of beautiful spirit. That’s quite a contrast to the mean spirited diatribes exhibited this week in the campaign.
Bring her a big win, Puerto Rico!

Lisa -apparently the Dems do. They have more delegates than many (most?) of the states.

Hillary – take it to the convention!!
No matter what the DNC decides tomorrow.
The fear that Pelosi, Dean and Reid are showing for whatsoever reason is shameful.
Someone tell Pelosi and Reid to just SHUT UP! They can go search the dictionary to understand thye word ‘DEMOCRACY’.
Let the process take it’s own course. May be – it is headed to the Covention.
Posted by: Jkan | May 30, 2008, 11:05 pm 11:05 pm
Tony, why do they have so many delegates when they aren’t even a state. Do you know.

I just watched the tape of Obama’s priest friend of 20 years and I am really shocked by the viciousness of his performances.
I have watched Hillary closely and at no time and occassion in which I have detected Hillary’s “sense of entitlement” because she is white.
JUST IMAGE IT WAS HILLARY’S FRIEND OF 20 YEARS HAS MADE THIS SPEECH ABOUT OBAMA, SHE WOULD BE DENOUNCED AS THE QUEEN OF DIVISION, EXTREME NEGATIVISM AND RACISM.
Posted by: wonder | May 30, 2008, 11:17 pm 11:17 pm
Lisa – I think it’s the party’s ruling. Congress gets to decide what’s a state, but the party’s can decide on the delegates in the territories. They are US citizens — so it makes sense as a matter of justice to count them. The Virgin Islands and Guam participated before PR. The Repubs. have 20+ delegates in PR. PR is closer to the Democratic party than the Repubs. This might explain the delegate differential. There is a longterm statehood movement in PR. The radicals want independence, I believe. The Dems would love for them to have full voting rights (electoral votes and congressional membership) because this would augment our power.

Hillary will be so bored with NY, when she returns in a couple of weeks. She and Bill have already booked a vacation home in Martha’s Vineyard for the entire month of September- you know, that place where non-elitist, beer swilling, working class folks go to hang out for vacations? I wouldn’t want to be one of her personal servants after this election is over. Everyone has famously heard how horribly she treated the Arkansas state troopers and White House Secret Service guys assigned to her. Imagine all the ‘dogs’ she’ll be kicking in a few weeks, when there are no more votes that matter. “Fan me and feed me, pool boy! More wine you lazy swine! Gotta feel good about that 109 Million (and counting) though. Back to the money trough for Big Bill. How about a new book deal for Hillary with a monstrous advance, to pay off her campaign loans?

Good luck with all that come Tuesday Hillary. Maybe next you can run for Dogcatcher in Puerto Rico or maybe Arkansas!!

Michelle Obama said that she was proud of America for the FIRST time after Obama’s win. Her statement has brought out questions about her attitude towards the rest of Americans which are not black.
Yet, Obama defends her like a pitbull and will not admit any mistake on her part. What does Obama really think about our nation? There is absolutely nothing to be proud of America except after the Americans have given him undeserved votes?
Obama’s friends, wife and associates can say anything negative and wrong and get away with it, but when Hillary is insulted and rediculed as no one should be, the press seems to be half deaf and purblind.

To day is the first time I have seen the tape about this rabid priest’s mockery of Hillary.
Obama’s statement was shown too, but Obama has not shown the least sympathy for Hillary’s pain of being so indecently ridiculed.
INSTEAD, OBAMA WENT ON THE GRANDSTAND OF TALKING ABOUT UNITY, AND AMERICANS’ DECENCY TO FLATTER THE PUBLIC.
I want to ask him:what would he feel if he exchange places with Hillary?
It is frightening to see such callousness towards a fellow democrat if she is a tough opponent.

The notion Obama has recieved a “free pass” by the media is completely false.
The 2 weeks b/f the crucial Indiana and North Carolina primary, Rev. Wright was pasted on every single major news network.
Results. Obama loses Indiana slightly (a state Hillary should have won by double digits due to demographics) and blows out Hillary in North Carolina.
The reason Hillary lost this fight is not b/c of the media but due to lack of strategy.
She had no strategy for the weeks following Super Tuesday. She thought with her name recognition and fame, she would have the nomination locked by Super Tuesday… wrong
Also, lets not forget Hillary was the media darling earlier on in the primaries. She was the “inevitable” candidate. Wife of Bill Clinton, first lady, experience, connections etc
Hillary lost this race b/c her campiagn was fatally flawed from DAY 1

If Hill pushes the primaries to the convention floor in August, she will have done a good job for McCain because that will mean a direct win for the unelectable old McCain. We hope that she does not want that to happen as she said herself. God bless America and God bless Obama.OBAMA08.

Ya, people tend to stay in their comfort zone. but that’snoy a way to fight. It’s no longer a primary election battle because the die is case. It could be a legal battle with the obvious intention of “If I dont get it, neither will you have it” attitude.

Those comments were coming after BHO’s whining about the tough questions for BHO related to the issues and patriotism. BHO even gave some hand gesture in NC rally after PA’s debate, which is not man enough, let alone presidential.
FYI, Hillary has not whining about his pastor’s comments. The only time Hillary was complaining was in Texas debate about the first questions she has been receiving. The problem for that is BHO does not have any his own idea, but a good copy machine. Hillary cannot distinguish herself by answering the question first.
Please watch their debate if you have time, you can tell the difference, and you will know that BHO is nothing when he is on his own foot.

Please see the most classic poster ever of a would be President. It’s called SNOB with the O and the B pretty much on brand. The tag “It’s an elitist thing. You wouldn’t understand.”
Defeat him at the box. I feel more strongly about this candidate than I hated George W. Bush. Read what the international papers are saying about what a nothing he is. They think he’s a complete lark. LET IT RAIN MCCAIN.

Juan Luis Guerra is a renowned composer and singer, a native and pride of the Dominican Republic; not from Puerto Rico. He composes mostly merengues, bachata and religious rithems, from the folklore of Dominican Republic…
Just for the record…

Honestly, I have tried to support Obama; but I just can’t… I don’t trust him. I changed my Party today from Dem to Independent. I will write Hillary’s name in…I can’t vote for anyone I don’t trust. So what that PR can’t vote in the general election? Democratic Party rules state that they can vote in the primary and have a say in who the nominee will be and that is what they will be doing this weekend. Obama’s people like to say the rules are the rules…well the rules say PR counts.

And the tension in PR between the Puerto Ricans and the Dominicans is quite high. So this is a gesture of unification to pick Guerra. Is Obama in San Juan trying to unify the the Puerto Ricans and the Dominicans? Nope. He thinks PR doesn’t matter just like Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia don’t matter.
He sure must be a lawyer because he sure can’t count electoral votes.
Salsa is still better music. ;-)
