Clinton: Tuesday Will Be a ‘Game Changer’
ABC News’ Eloise Harper Reports: Senator Hillary Clinton speaking in Kinston, NC said that Tuesday’s primary will be a big day in the contest for the Democratic nomination. Clinton has denied in interviews and in press availabilities that she will drop out of the race if she loses Indiana. Today, Clinton stressed the importance of the North Carolina contest.
“This primary election on Tuesday is a game changer. This is going to make a huge difference in what happens going forward. The entire country – probably even a lot of the world is looking to see what North Carolina decides.”
Watch the VIDEO HERE.
Speaking at a John Deere sales center, the New York Senator stressed the importance of creating jobs, criticizing those who say the current jobs numbers are a good indication.
"You know we lost 20,000 jobs last month and people are saying well that’s better than we thought. Well, I don’t accept that at all. We’re not supposed to be losing jobs in America we’re supposed to be creating jobs in America. So losing 20,000 jobs isn’t exactly a welcome piece of information. We need to change our tax code which I will do. There’s not going to be one penny of your tax dollars that goes to any company that takes a job out of North Carolina and moves it to a foreign company.”
Clinton continued to praise the gax tax holiday and criticized her opponents for their positions. The former First Lady has five stops in North Carolina today, continuing her marathon sprint around the Tar Heel state leading up to Tuesday.

I think that it is important that the “voters” decide. It is our America and we ALL have a right to be heard. I am a life long Democrat and can see some very serious issues in how we are running our primaries. The race is run on a 50 state strategy and we have to clear up the debacle of Fl. & Mi. To know who has the most votes and delegates. There is no other way to do it. These people are not serial killers with no rights to their vote! We need to fix this and let the people have their say. obama says we need to do this WITH the involvement of the American people in order to change America. So let the people effect the change they want!!

Clinton is the best person for president….If the fools in the DNC can’t see this its there loss,
OBAMA IS A DANGER FOR THE USA……..
IF CLINTON LOSSES, LIKE A LOT OF HER SUPPORTERS I WILL VOTE FOR McCain.
Obama is to risky for the usa, lots of things about him are being covered up by the MSM…….

Bill Clinton Campaign Chairman and Hillary Clinton ’08 Advisor Mickey Kantor tells George Stephanapoulos and James Carville: “Look at Indiana…it doesn’t matter if we win. Those people are s…. How would you like to be a worthless white ni…r?”

Clearly Clinton should Condemn and Renounce and Denounce and Decry Kantor for his disparaging comment against Hoosiers.

HILLARY WILL DO WELL BUT NOT WELL ENOUGH
The decision for Obama has already been made. Resistance is futile.
All that remains is whether Clinton supporters will shift left and enjoy the ride.
Sad but true. Thank you Howard Dean.

Obama is nothing less than a left radical with rosy fake words.

YES WE CAN …… BUT
How? That’s the question to ask. Since the party has decided Obama will be nominated, isn’t it about time he came forth with some details instead of vague promises?
Posted by: Aston | May 2, 2008, 11:53 am 11:53 am
We need to remeber this is not the fault of the candidates. The Dem. party has this everyone gets part of a prize system that fails us all. No one should be asked to leave and no other candidate surrogates should be asking the other to leave. Until the Dem. primary system is fixed this is the kind of chaos we will have to look forward to in the future!! Thanks Howard Dean!! Settle Mi. & Fl. now and the problem would already be working its self out.

Um, how many of those lost jobs are because of deals your Husband and members of your campaign staff cut Sen. Clinton? Even yoru buddy John McCain is backing off the gas tax holiday, you might not want to keep hawking it, well, you haven’t actually presented any legislation on it, so it wasn’t all that serious anyway.

CLINTON PREVALENT!
The party has decided Clinton supporters and guess what — she’s not it. It’s a done deal as more and more supers are being threatened by Pelosi, Dean and the other party apparatus.
Do you really think Nancy wants to compete with a woman president. Do you really think Dean would ever support a moderate?
Nope! Clinton’s time has passed.

NO RICKIE she will not be president for Mc Cain will be if she is on the ballot…..Wait and see>>>>>
Brenda read it type of people the Clintons hang with is they are still alive …You’re blaming Dean for something that Hilly agreeded with from the get go.Two sides of the story .They knew and I for one say don’t count them or split them down the middle TS she knew this and now cries foul

I am tired of this Obama-Wright circus. This is not good for the party. And my biggest fear is that it is only the beginning of the end. For, lets face it, the Republicans will have a field day with these two come September. Obama has bungled this campaign. Thus, its time for REAL change. Time for him to go.

This is what people do run the other candidate down. No statement was made by Clinton. She has been asked and has only answer twice. What would you have done..He wouldn’t have remained my pastor. Then O’reilley asked her whjat she thought of his words? She tried to not answer again and he kept pushing..she finally said that she doesn’t believe that America created AIDS to commit genocide against African Americans!! What was she supposed to say? I agree!! No she never would because she doesn’t. Obama said we need to heel America and the racial divide. It is not Senator Clintons fault he stayed in that church and people don’t like it. She can’t sink her career supporting wwrights words that are just WRONG!!

Madam Mrs. Clinton, even if you win both States NC and IN that will not help you at all. What counts now are Super Delegates. If they are not in your side and others abandoning you, there is nothing to be happy/proud/hopeful of. We are now looking on the Math, and it does not add up for you, unfortunately, Sorry!
Posted by: Peace | May 2, 2008, 12:07 pm 12:07 pm
Sounds desperate to me. She hears the sounds of the super delegates making their way to Obama’s side based on negatives. No one with her negatives could ever unite this party. No one. The supers know this. Heck most of them don’t even like or respect the Clintons with good reason.
Yes, watch what happens.

All I know is every time I look @ RealClear, HRC’s numbers are up – againt BO in Indiana/NC and up against McCain. Still expect SDs to tilt nomination to Obama – they’d rather appease black community and younger voters than take a stand for the other 50% most of whom they think will go along b/c of the Dem Party line. Will be interesting to see how effective that strategy is.
Posted by: Marcus | May 2, 2008, 12:16 pm 12:16 pm
A nearly 40 year relationship with Kantor. It is clear that HRC must be heavily influenced and completely subscribe to what are his innermost beliefs. Like the Clinton’s, despite irrefutable proof of misconduct, he denies making the statement.
Posted by: Louis | May 2, 2008, 12:16 pm 12:16 pm
Poll numbers change with the story of the day. IF the media decides to go into the weekend with as much coverage of the Kantor commentary on Indianians, look for those numbers to change.
Posted by: Louis | May 2, 2008, 12:19 pm 12:19 pm
Give the polls a couple of days to settle down. Obama had a rough few weeks, his numbers will come back up.
Posted by: Thinking | May 2, 2008, 12:21 pm 12:21 pm
There are SO many things the Clintons and McCain are involved in that are underhanded and “slimy” I wonder why the press is concentrating so much on the Wright issue. I personally think people are SICK of the Wright, Bosnia and all that crap..we want to know the issues, economy, gas prices, jobs…YEEZZZ
Posted by: catcall | May 2, 2008, 12:22 pm 12:22 pm
WHAT POLL NUMBERS DON’T SAY …
The democratic nominee is Obama because that’s what the party’s hierarchy have decided. They are convinced that Hillary supporters will quickly fall in line and vote for Obama in the general election. There’s no end to the way that they will be subjected to spin and there’s no way most of them will resist. There’s a mentality in both parties that come down to “my party right or wrong”. THIS WON’T CHANGE!

I like people who don’t give up and who find a way to prevail even when the odds seemed stacked against them. Quality has a way of coming through. Any Dem with an open-mind should be able to see by now that Obama is an inexperienced highly flawed candidate right now. The GOP will dismantle him in an election that the Dems should and must win. Hillary can win the presidency and do the job. If Dems aren’t interested in either of those two things then they should back Obama.

It seems the classless back and forth has not changed while I was away in Puerto Rico this week. Two points:
1. Support for Hillary in Puerto Rico is strong. Those who know first hand what the war is doing to us are most emphatically supporting Hillary Clinton.
2. I met Chelsea Clinton. She is a mighty sword in her mother’s armory. She was very smart, very polished, genuine and unafraid. She took tough questions with equanimity and answered them all with details.
You can bite each other as much as you want to. It looks more and more obvious every day that Hillary Clinton shall be the next President of the United States. Obama and McCain supporters will have to decide how they are going to react to that. If they intend to be angry, so be it. If they intend to be part of the solution and the incredibly hard work ahead of us, that will be better. Choose wisely.

Posted by: Becky | May 2, 2008, 1:04 pm 1:04 pm
Let’s be real. The Republicans will obliterate Hillary Clinton in November.
Republicans are going to hit Hillary on how tough she really is. Lets review Hillarys record of toughness on 2 of the most critical policies that have affected the American people.
1. NAFTA – She promoted, supported and by most witness accounts rammed NAFTA down the throats of congress. But behind closed doors she doubted the policy and said it was wrong. But despite knowing it was wrong she went along with the status quo pushing it forward.
2. IRAQ WAR – She agreed to go to war but hoped secretly that it would not come to a war. Although the document she signed clearly said “right to go to war.” She again caved in to the status quo and agreed to do something she really should have stood up against.
So over the past 2 decades and last 2 Presidencies, Hillary Clinton has effectively been a help to diminishing manufacturing jobs and bankrupting the country. NAFTA allowed major manufacturing corporations the option to close plants in America and ship jobs overseas. Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Albany NY, NJ, Oregon those really smart white blue collar men voting for her are basically saying ‘Thanks for making sure that during your husband’s run in the white house we lost our jobs so you & Bill can earn 109 Million dollars, while we lose our homes and the shirts off our backs! Thanks Hillary your awesome!” Those feminist white working class women running to vote for her are basically saying “Thanks for going to war! We now get fired a lot quicker when the re-orgs happen because the economy sucks now due to a war that is bankrupting our country! Good looking out for us women, great job Hillary!”
Think about it… within the last 2 decades – two of the most critical decisions that have affected America’s economy and growth have been screwed up all because Hillary Clinton folded under pressure. First NAFTA and agreed with Bush to go to War. America is now jobless and bankrupt and we can thank Hillary Clinton for contributing to that problem. Now she wants us to trust her in fixing it? She can’t even balance the budget of her campaign. Her campaign is bankrupt. How can she be trusted to be the steward of America when she can’t balance a simple campaign budget?

Hillary also said she landed under sniper fire when there was video showing the opposite, Bill denied making statements on a program where there was video and audio recordings. this si their pattern, deny it until it goes away.

May 6th will be Hillary Clinton’s last “Hale Mary”! Bye! Bye!
Hillary and Bill are reaching for straws and trying to fool the people in NC and IN it wont work the American people are fed up with the Clintons, Bushs, and the old sneaky McCain Bush want-to-be politics as usual. The American people are to smart for that and will turn the page. The talk radio Conservatives shook Jocks want the American people to believe that their for Hillary but they want the fight between Hillary and Obama to continue until November to try and make McBush look good that want work either.
Obama’s state wins 30 lost 15, Delegate count 1737 +/-, Negatives are way down, Better nominee

THE OBAMA CAMP IS TRULY STOOPING TO NEW LOWS WITH THIS LATEST DOCTORED VIDEO FROM 1992.
The speaker in the video was referring to what would be Bush’s reaction to Ross Perot’s advantage in Indiana. What he said has nothing to do with how HE felt about Indianians in 1992.

So…now that Obama has campaigned for and helped his cousin Odinga usurp power in Kenya after rioting and murder, has he mentioned how much of the proceeds from the Global Poverty Tax that he’s sponsoring in the Senate will be directed to that country? Should be sizable. I think he’s championing something like 7% of the USA’s GDP. It’s a good thing America is flush with cash and can afford it.

Hillary has accepted more money from oil companies than all the other candidates combined.
Hillary wants America to continue it’s addiction to oil. An addiction that puts money in her oil companies pockets.
The more oil America uses, the more money Iran earns for it’s oil. That means more weapons for Hamas and money nuclear weapons in the hands of terrorists.
You can’t have it both ways. Do you support a safe America? Or do you support saving 30 cents a day and putting 300,000 highway workers out of work.

Obama will never win in the G.E. What many of his supporters fail to grasp is that more than 33% of Hillary supporters and countless independents will NEVER vote for Obama.
Electability is the issue for many of the supers. The coming primaries will only reinforce Obama’s inability to win over the electorate, and the undecided supers will follow suit.

so let me get this straight,if obama loses indiana either loses or only wins north carolina by single digits ,hillary has the popular vote count ,whites are voting for hillary 2 to 1 in key states and florida and michigan voters are disenfranchised then we as democrats should jump off the cliff with you obamaites, not likely.

Hi lisa…nice try. Please tell that to the Clinton supporters saying they will NEVER vote for Barack and lets be honest…the majority of people saying this are probably white. I’m know some are black also. But the hypocrisy again is what really gets my goat! I will not support Hillary Clinton and further more like I said before are about 13 million Barack supporters that feel like I do. I don’t think what is going on is fair. I have seen biased media reports, racist comments and all sorts of things that in this day and age I was for sure would not be happening. I have yet to see ANYONE on Obama side put Hillary Clinton because she is a woman or try to influence men in general not to trust a woman in charge. But I constantly seen Bill Clinton play the race card. I have seen on cnn, msnbc, foxnews hillary and her staff and supporters white and black alike play the race card and it sickens me. I supported the Clintons. I voted for Bill. I voted for Hillary and they betrayed me and millions of other black voters. I will NEVER VOTE FOR THE CLINTONS AGAIN.

Do we want more of the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton corporate and special interest run Washington or do we want an overhaul with the People in charge? I believe Obama will listen and try to follow the will of the people VS Hillary’s corporate sponsors and special interests whom she owes more favors. I also believe Hillary will divide our country further than we’ve ever seen.

@catcall:
I believe she will campaign for Obama should that come to pass. Why? She is still a serving US Senator who understands that having a Democratic President is more important than huffing away angry.
I don’t think some people really get Hillary Clinton. If they did, they would know that the $40 million cartoon picture painted by the Republicans for the last 15 years is exactly that. She is the genuine deal: smart, tough, funny and capable. But among those, she is a very loyal Democrat, not a johnny-come-lately looking for a fast break to the record books.
I won’t vote for him, but that’s just me. I don’t think he has what it takes yet. He may someday, but much depends on how the next four months are handled and so far, he doesn’t seem to understand he isn’t entitled and can plunge further down than he has come up. Whatever he does, he needs to use the political capital his supporters have purchased for him smartly come the fall regardless of who is in the top position.
But I also think Nancy Pelosi is dead wrong: they can run together. If anything has been obvious it is how out of touch the pollsters and pundits are in this campaign. They consistently get it wrong, and that may be the most exciting part of this season: the voters and NOT the machines are determining out destiny.
That is EXACTLY how our system of government is designed to work. After over 200 years, it still does and that is awesome.

Whether the Kantor thing is authentic or not, when you run a dirty campaign (Hillary has twisted and misrepresented many things Obama has said), then you’re vulnerable to this kind of stuff.
Stick to the high road Hillary and this sstuff won’t stick to you.

Get real! To many Obama supporters the only thing that really matters is that Obama is Black! To try and tie Hillary Clinton to that phony 1992 Kantor clip and then accuse everyone of attacking the Black Church, using sound bites and being unfair to Obama regarding Jeremiah Wright states clearly that hatred and racism against others is fine with them.

Becky,
No matter what, if Obama on the name list, I will vote Macaan!
1. Obama is nominee
2. Clinton is nominee, but obama is VP
As long Obama in the list, I will vote Maccan!
No Obama forever!

WithAWhy..Hi there! I like your name too! Anyway I’m black go to church and my pastor gets excited but he never spewed the crap Wright did. I don’t support Wright I support Barack. Just like I didn’t fault Hillary for Bill Clinton’s indiscretions of the 90s when I voted for her in NY. Why are you guys using Wright as an excuse to NOT vote for a qualified man? This goes deeper than Wright and that much is obvious. Black people are always being accused of playing the race card, truth of the matter we are just playing the hand that was dealt and we get a winning hand then some people try to change the rules. Sorry …that’s not the way it works. Also Kantor works for Hillary now so that is why he she needs to say something. I actually expect her to because if this video turns out to be true…the republicans are going have a BBQ and put her on the grill.

I think you are revealing your NARROW views of what this presidential race is all about.
I am not voting for Barack Obama because he is black. I am voting for him because he exemplifies all I desire in a presidnt.
HONEST. If he had came in here saying he ducked sniper fire while organizing with laid-off steel workers and the video shows him frolicking down the street shaking hands, he would no longer be my candidate.
If hillary sat under Pastor Hagee for 20 years, I would consider it a non issue because she does not go around calling catholicism a whore religion.
See how dramatic that is once the tables are turned.
DOUBLE STANDARDS.

do you mean to tell me that the person
who has the
most delegates
most popular vote
most states won
and is
most honest
most electable
and the one who has raised the most money in history
YOU CANT VOTE FOR HIM….
so sad…..

I have always been an independent and never voted so I am on the fence. All I could observe over the years, and we all know this, is that Hillary has a polarizing personality (read “the woman in charge” from Carl. Berstein to enlitghten yourself, one the men who dug up Watergate for us). This personality trait is not going away and will not help in working across the aisle to solve the gigantic problems we face. This is critical for our children and grandchildren. I think Obama has the personality to work across the aisle.

Okay…this may be totally irrelevant but can someone tell me why Chelsea is always wearing tight as heck jeans? She is 28 going on 29 and doing campus tours and refuses to speak to the press. She works at a NY wall street firm for petes sake! She’s an adult not a college co-ed…

Omentum all of those qualifications for the nominee are not valid he is not the most honest and you have to have both pledged and SD lead you are still delusional please leave the Democratic party we dont want you you will be put in your place on Tuesday!

Why is the DNC trying to pressure Senator Clinton to drop out? Why doesn’t the DNC count all the votes? Has the DNC and Pelosi already promised the nomination to Obama?
People ARE going to sit out the primary the more this looks rigged – and – this looks RIGGED.

The republicans have been salivating over Hillary running against John. They have something up their sleeves Something really, really damning against Bill or Hillary – you best believe it’s a BIG! I watched Pat Buchanan praise Hillary…Pat Buchanan people! You know whats up when FOXNEWS starts chanting HILLARY! These guys have been waiting since water-gate to demolish the Clintons. At least it will be entertaining.

Gloooriaaaa
She can win the pledged delegate race. The superdelegates cannot and must not overthrow the will of the people. That’s what democracy is all about.
Pelosi and the DNC want to have a chance to win this November… without Obama as the nominee, two major voting blocks (A. Americans and young voters) will not show up.
If Obama was in this position BELIEVE ME he would have been forced to concede already.

ok – let’s stop the stupid remarks about Florida and Michigan!
Florida’s record turnout was due to the fact that there was a very important amendment issue on the ballot relating to property taxes – it had NOTHING to do with the election and everything to do with property taxes!
Michigan is a total no-brainer! Obama wasn’t even on the ballot – when Clinton says she is ahead in votes she takes her votes in Michigan and argues that Obama would have had zero votes in Michigan! Come on Clinton supporters – even you guys have to admit that it totally lame!
Also, there hasn’t been even ONE state where Obama has campaigned where he hasn’t closed the gap or won once people got to meet him and hear him and get to know him. He didn’t campaign in Florida. Clinton says that neither did she – that’s true to a degree(she got on the air the night before and announced her victory party for the next night in Florida – thereby breaking the rules – Clinton style!)however, Clinton hasn’t had the same record of closing the gap once she campaigns so she clearly had the advantage in Florida – remember this was so early in the process – people didn’t know Obama and she certainly knew Clinton – plus she had the advantage of being married to a popular President.
So, let’s be fair – the two states broke the rules – they were told their votes wouldn’t count and the delegates wouldn’t be seated. Let’s divide the delegates evenly and seat the two states.

Here are some factual and interesting numbers for the pollsters.
Obama has won 30 states
Clinton has won 15 states
Super delegates:
Obama 253
Clinton 274
Pledged delegate:
Obama 1746
Clinton 1607
Voters est ct:
Obama 13.5 million
Clinton 12.9 million
about 600,000 difference – rough est
306 supers left to decide
Obama needs 279 more supers
Clinton needs 418 more supers

Emily…please go research all of the unsavory people the Clintons have relationships with. Please research how many associates they have thrown under the bus to further their own needs. Again double standard. Ask Bill Richardson how it feels to be attacked by that ball headed scary looking James Carville? I don’t see him attacking any of the other supporters switching to Barack? Wonder Why? Si!

Well the only way Obama can win the primary is to leave out FL. and MI. and how many votes did Kerry lose the GE by millions of Clintons voters will not vote for Obama so he isn’t going to win unless they have some fix in the GE

Thinking over what happened before and during the primary,
it is like to hear Obama’s story “The Emperor’s New Clothes”.
By the end, the new clothes praised by his supporters is NOTHING
but a bare shining body with quite some extra stuff inside.

I still think that Hillary Clintons has FAR MORE unsavory friends, colleagues and connections then Barack Obamam. Futhermore I’m stating well-known facts about racism. Not opionions…FACTS. Sexism does exist and is rampant DUH. Guess what race of women face blantant sexism more than the other? Black and Latino women. I work in a major corporation in NYC you can count on 1 hand the number of Black and Latino or Asian women in high level VP or President positions. But I guarantee you that on that same floor you will find 7-10 white women in those management positions easily. Why is that?
Also my point earlier was this…the Obama camp HAS NOT made statements questioning Hillary’s skill as a delicate woman to deal with the pressure as a President. Yet the Clinton camp and it’s supporters and even Bill Clinton have made racist statements. Bill Clinton himself said point blank “Obama played the race card!” in Philly. Now why is that?

Dems are going over the cliff with Barry. There is NO way the Dems are going to steal the nomination from Barry and split the party. Unfortunately for the Dems, Obama’s nomination will carve off large segments of the Democratic labor vote for McCain. Obama will eventually go down to a McGovern-esque defeat, his political life ended as a serious national contender and Hillary returns like a horror movie goul in 2012 to run as the heir apparent.

Wright points to one of two conclussions both of which should disqualify Obama for the top office of the land. One, Obama was aware of Wrights comments and agrees with them on some level. Two, he does not agree with the message but was a member of the church so as to develop a political base and exposing his kids to the message was simply a necessary byproduct.
It defies any logic to the suggest to the contrary that Obama was unaware of the tone and tenor of Wright’s theological sermons. Given Obama’s previous statements (in a book and elsewhere) we were lead to believe that not only was this an extremely close relationsip (spiritual mentor) but that Wright responded with a father-like presence in Obama’s life.
It is needless to recount Wright’s speeches or the fact that Louis Farakhan received a life-time award from this congregation. It is likewise needless to direct readers to equally disturbing comments from Trinity’s new pastor.
It is unreasonable and illogical to suggest that Wright was misunderstood or that Obama was unaware. Sophistry.
If you think it doesn’t matter, simply say with courage that the fact that a presidential candidate chooses to spend his time with racial bigots and terrorists doesn’t matter and be done with it. One might also surmise that one who can so easily dismiss a 20 year relationship with a nut-job can also dismiss relationships with a Bull Connor or a Whites Only Country Club. Words do indeed matter, but as the saying goes, actions do speak louder than words

Obama is toast, if not now, in the general election. He did not sit in that pew for 20+ years without sharing Wright’s beliefs. He will say and do anything to get elected. He changes his story about Wright from crisis to crisis. A man is judged by the company he keeps, and Obama’s friendship with Wright, Rezko and Ayers tells me all I need to know about Barack Obama’s agenda for America. I’m a solid Democrat, but I won’t throw America under the bus for Obama. I’ll vote for McCain if Hillary is not the nominee.

Hillary is just pandering to the voters when she supports a gas tax holiday during the summer that both Democrats and Republicans have said would be harmful to the economy and to gas prices in the long run. Obama speeaks the truth, well, most of the time, but infinitely more than Hillary.

All Obama is now getting is the Black votes (eg North Carolina). That cannot win hin the generals. The whites have figured him out .. a bit late but they are running from Obama Hussein. Obama speaks about religion but not his religious path. HE has never clearly told the American public that he was a muslim first and the a christian ( that too and Anti-American christian). Too many problems with this guy… just drop him. You cannot have confidence in a candidate whose only hope of winning the nomination is to run out the clock

reaganfan…Do you believe that the 13 million people who have now voted for Obama were all black? If that was the case do you really believe Hillary Clinton would be courting working white mens votes in Indiana with lies?
13 million WHITE, BLACK, LATINO, ASIANS, JEWS, INDIANS, AMERICANS, old, middle age, young all voted for Barack Obama. You are delusional if you think otherwise.

Lisa…You must have gotten your information on CNN or perhaps MSNBC. I watched the debate where the question about Iran was posed to Hillary and Barack. Hillary said she would send advisors in to negotiate with Iran. Obama said he would go himself. And if Iran launched a nuclear missle? Gee I don’t know…hide under the bed? And by the way Obama answered the question exactly the same.

Who is the better risk/reward bet given the numerous serious problems US faced internally & globally?
Sen. Obama is an unknown risk. To be effective the next President needs to work with Congress & Senate to deliver and execute good policies. Change DC sounds good and easy but not practical; need to work within a more than 200 years established system to effect incremental improvements at the margin. That is the real world.
Ex-Pres. Bill Clinton was a very effective President despite some personal weaknesses, and he delivered the goods and America was strong and well respected globally. Pres. Bush is a disaster.
Sen. Hillary is likely a better and safer bet if she can follow through on Bill’s approach. A woman who stood behind her husband indiscretion speaks of faithfulness and strength not weakness. A woman who keeps trying despite set-backs affirms determination and practicality towards success. A weak and impractical President will ensure US goes down for a long long time after 8 years of bad policy judgements and execution. Best regards America.

Hillary Clinton seems to be more of a republican than a democrat; and thats not just lately. I know she wants to appeal to ‘lower middle class white men’ who watch FoxTV but I believe she has been insulting her core base. I also believe she is insulting those ‘rural lower class white men’ but feeding into stereotypes and pandering to fears and insecurities of the unknown or different people. Let’s face her basic campaign promo is “vote for me! you know my garbage!” But actually we don’t. The American people know about Bills affairs and white water. Those subjects I’m sure only scratch the surface. I think the republicans want to go against Hillary Clinton so bad that they are wetting their pants in anticipation. The glee is so obvious in their eyes. FOXnews shows nothing but Wright stuff almost 24 hrs a day. MSNBC just did another wright special and has been running it almost all weekend. CNN is showing a little more restraint. I’m really diasppointed in how white media is trying to make Obama guilty by association with anything that they find. I don’t see them holding Hillary Clinton or John McCann to the same standard.

Hillary understands what $30 or $100 means to struggling families. Obama scoffs that this is pocket change. Well, Mssr. Obama this amount of money can have this impact to many throusands of families 1)Not being able to drive to work and possibly losing your job 2)Food and clothing for your kids. 3)Money your kids need to get to school, buy lunch at school.
Hillary is a wealthy woman but her parents were around during the Great Depression and she knows what lack on money means to a lot of people.
Obama has lived in the city for many years. Maybe he does not understand why people need cars; they can take the El, right?
I have nothing but contempt for Obama, a total hypocrite and liar.

What people are not seeing is that $30-35 savings that McCann and Clinton are talking about needs to be divided by 30 calendar days. This could amount to 30 cents a day. Meanwhile the longterm effect is we lose 150,000 highway jobs and the oil companies will raise the cost of oil so we are now further in debt. Also the wind fall tax profits she wants to use to cover the difference makes no sense as she has already said she would use it in another area. She can’t use the wind fall tax in TWO DIFFERENT areas. It makes no sense and puts us in a bigger deficit yet again. The gas tax break is pandering and furthermore President Bush is not going to approve it anyway.
