Hillary Clinton’s Idea of Fun…

ABC News’ Eloise Harper reports: Does standing for six hours in a moving pick-up truck with dirt and wind blowing in your face, waving and waving the whole time, sound like fun? Well according to Sen. Hillary Clinton it was the most fun she has ever had campaigning.

"We went through many cities, and I was so happy to be standing up in the pick-up truck waving at all of the people on the streets and in the cars who were driving by," she said in San Juan, Puerto Rico. "It was the most fun I think I’ve had campaigning anywhere."

Clinton did take a few breaks while canvassing -– but as others began to fade at the end of the long day watching the senator wave to people from the truck, she kept smiling and waving, as the loudspeakers that followed her blasted songs by Ricky Martin and others, with "Hillary Clinton" incorporated into the lyrics.

At the end of the day, Clinton addressed the Mita Congregation, one where a few thousand of people gathered wearing all white.

"I feel very much at home here because I believe that we understand that we are called not to lead just hearers of the word, but doers of the word," she said.

Clinton also expressed her feeling of closeness with this island, saying as she has said frequently: "I am not a stranger to these beautiful islands, nor to the people of Puerto Rico. I am proud to represent 1 million Puerto Ricans in New York. I have also felt as though I was your senator as well as New York’s senator."

AFter the results of today’s RBC meeting, riding on the back of a moving pickup, eating dust and waving at Puerto Ricans must feel like a hell of a good time…

Let’s see, eating dust for six hours is the most fun one could have, and “I never had sex with that woman.” Why can’t the Clintons be sincere or honest about ANYTHING?!

they can not.
BUT they will eat dity and dust and whatever to get the powerThey do not care how ugly they are.
That is what we should care about not being dirt under clintons steps.
Get them OUT.

All the people wearing white is representive of a VooDoo congregation syncretized with Catholicism. Is the media & church police going to report on this……NO!

After Tuesday, Hillary will have ‘forgotten’ about Puerto Rico, just like all the other states she ‘loved’ before. She is truly psychotic, but she’s a pedal to the metal old-style carpetbagger politician to the max.

Is there REALLY a need to be SO SARCASTIC in these comments? I think that people who are so vindictive and sarcastic are very sad individuals. There’s enough of that in this world. And WHY do these type of comments come so often from OBAMA supporters? Just tells us about the kind of people he attracts…. I guess.

I just hope that Obama is not forced to take Hillary as VP. Too much baggage, and old Washington politics, even bordering on Republican.

Hillary Supporters on the Lunatic Fringe-
Nice class you showed at the RBC meeting, interrupting the speakers, mocking, protesting like this was a gender rights issue and not some nonsense acquiescence for Hillary on two states that violated rules and shouldn’t have even had delegates apportioned in the first place. She didn’t even care about MI and FL, by her own f*cking words, until she was out of options.
Nice argument on MI too, that Barack made a blunder taking his name off and therefore she deserved all the delegates and none should be awarded for him – even though it is clear the uncommitteds were voting for him or Edwards.
Classy – so here’s some language you’ll understand. Please, pretty please, go eat sh*t and die. Seriously, go the f*ck away. I would rather cast a vote for Obama in a loss than try to expand a tent to accomodate you racist she-beasts. Stay home, vote for McCain, egg Clinton into a third party run, I don’t care anymore – but please, please just go the f@ck away!

The Commander Guy,
Good to see you come up out of the mole hole and contribute to the collective nonsense. You have to be pleased with the outcome of the DNC rules committee today, with an outcome as divisive as ever. I for one am pleased with the outcome. Now that the Florida and Michigan votes have sanction by an allocation of delegates, those votes now count. This give Obama* an asterik as the second choice of a majority of Democrats. Now he can go to the general caucus and campaign with the asterik. She doesn’t have to burn down da’ house, he’s carrying it around going forward in the form of the asterik. The only question is whether seconds in the form of a dyed-in-the-wool liberal are sufficient for the nation-at-large. More than likely it will be Hillary going up against McCain in four years. Hillary will have the next three to smile and support and feel sorry for poor Obama, whose 15 minutes will be over once the general caucus has been completed.

Denver might end up looking like the foolish scene we saw today at the DNC rules meeting. What an embarrassment for the party, to see the way the Hillary supporters were acting uncivilized and disrespectful, even towards the fellow Hillary supporters on the committee! Shameful, but nonetheless amusing. At least the members made the right decisions in the end. I’m glad that FL and MI will now be represented in Denver.

TGC,
“Dead-enders”, last time I heard that it was coming out of Cheney’s mouth and has since been discounted as wishful thinking of a blind propagandist. Of course he was talking about Al-Kai-eedah, but you aren’t now equating the 17M+ Hillary supporters as terrorists are you? That seems like something that a Bushie would do.

Westie and alpaig
An Interesting Alliance has formed between Clintonites, the Talk Radio Right and the Conservative Elite. These parties and their wingnut footsoldiers form an Axis, I suppose.
All speak the same talking points and share a similar goal. These days it can be virtually impossible to distinguish a Red State Wingnut from a Clintonite by their respective use of rhetoric when reading the comment boards on the internets. Since these groups have combined forces, maybe there is a new group of people who qualify to be labeled as wingnuts. Perhaps they are all wingnuts now.
Right now, we have a new name for this alliance of Clintonites, Wingnuts and Conserva-gensia.
The Big Three are now named:
THE AXIS of the INCOHERENT.
Back to you Westie. Lead your deadenders wisely.

Because my insults aren’t directed to you, I’m sure you are a decent person. My insults are directed at hateful inbreds in WY, KY and PA who simply wont vote for someone because of their skin tone. And to the Hillary supporter who had to be removed by force from the RBC meeting hall.
You do what you want in the general election – but if Hillary truly was the better candidate, she would not be in this position.

Posted by: Derek | May 31, 2008, 10:41 pm 10:41 pm

Rush’s support for Hillary has been unprecedented. There’s definitely something going on there. Same talking points, strategy, low-brow tactics, etc. Hillary should run with McCain, and she would get a lot of support- not!

Posted by: Janet | May 31, 2008, 10:44 pm 10:44 pm

TCG,
If 51% or more of the people are now classified wingnuts, then wingnuttery is the norm. Doesn’t leave much room for the zombies to establish a beachhead. Last time we saw such an election phenomenon was the Gore-Bush election of 2000 and we saw how that turned out. Not a threat on my part, just a passive observation, things do not look so bad for McCain.

Hillary in ’08 or ’12, the lower the number the higher the IQ of the Democratic Party.

This was not democratic, it was dictatorial! I watched the whole debate, just as I have followed the whole warped campaign. I listened to Sen Bill Nelson and the passionate words of Sen Joiner and was encouraged, believing that the so called Rules Committee would get it right. I listened to Harold Ickes at the end of the debate, at a loss for words because of the total injustice. By this time I was broken hearted by the travesty of justice, because the decisions have totally negated the rights of the voters. You may think it’s unimportant, it’s only a primary, but it’s a matter of principle! DNC such a shame on you! I hope Hillary challenges this and takes it to the August Credentials Committee, because this has been a total stitch up throughout!

They ARE not. I have debated with Obama supporters in person. One of my wife’s colleagues is an ultraliberal who keeps saying we need to send half a million new American college grads to Africa to for five years. Good luck with that. Maybe Mugabe will take them if they are not White since he threw out all the White farm owners. All this liberal Obama lover could say was he didn’t like Hillary because she is a bitch.
Obama supporters: do NOT expect many Hillary supporters to support him if Clinton is not nominated. Few in the SWING state can stand him. We will vote for McCain.

THERE’S A CONNIVANCE AND HYPOCRICY INVOLVED IN OBAMA’S DEFECTION. WE CANNOT TRUST THE BLACK COMMUNITY… WE CANNOT TRUST OBAMA… THEY’RE ALL FOR SELFISH REASONS… THAT’S WHY GOD WILL NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN…OBAMA WILL NEVER WIN THE GENERAL ELECTION….GOD WILL NOT LET UNITED STATES OF AMERICA BE RULED BY BLACK HYPOCRITES. THEY WILL VOTE FOR OBAMA HOWEVER BAD HIS RESUME, HOWEVER DIRTY HIS WAYS TO THE TOP AND HOWEVER BAD HIS ASSOCIATIONS WITH DANGEROUS PEOPLE INCLUDING THE ENEMIES OF THE STATE BECAUSE OBAMA IS THEIR OWN KIND. THEY ARE TOO DESPERATE TO ESTABLISH THEIR OWN KIND IN THE HIGHEST OFFICE BECAUSE THEIR CAUSE IS TOO SELFISH. IF AA RULES, UNITED STATES WILL BE A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY BECAUSE AAs IN GENERAL ARE LIKE WILD ANIMALS UNRULY BY NATURE AND THAT’S A FACT. NOW, UNDERSTAND WHY THE WHITES AND OTHER RACES ARE TOO AFRAID TO LIVE IN ONE COMMUNITY WITH THE AAs.
HILLARY 2009-2012. GO HILLARY!!!!
FACTS: Only the Clintons understand the American economy. Social Security is being paid with money borrowed from China. The USA doesn’t make enough money from tax payers the IRS only reports $400 billions a year. The USA owes $40 trillions with interests. There are 1000 billions in a trillion. There is no money for Social Security it has been taken for other expenses. The USA people don’t have as much savings compare to the rest of the world. The USA medical system is the most expensive in the world. The oil bought today is paid with money borrowed from China. The world considers China the new empire not the USA. When Mr. Clinton was President the USA was #1 in the world with the strongest economy. The Clintons left $500 billions surplus, a balance budget and the world enjoy peace. We need the Clintons right now, urgently. The Clintons also improved the condition of the Black community. They even gave them better privileges than any other race like healthcare, etc. and most importantly, afforded them the luxury of 230 points added to their SAT because of AA to get into an Ivy League school. Now, where are they? playing the race card. Made an issue on Bill Clinton’s statement of truth in South Carolina. Geez, these people just don’t now how to pay respect.

Posted by: Mary | June 1, 2008, 12:38 am 12:38 am

Sep. 25, 2007:
It’s official: Washington insiders believe Hillary Rodham Clinton will be the Democratic presidential nominee.
The latest sign of Clinton’s “inevitability” … Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh endorsed her presidential bid Monday. Just take a look at some of the evidence:
* Sunday’s front-page New York Times story led with this sentence: “Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has consolidated her early lead in the Democratic presidential contest, showing steady strength as the candidates head toward the first voting early next year.”
* Clinton appeared on five –FIVE! — Sunday talk shows, winning generally positive reviews and, as importantly from her perspective, not making any errors.
* Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh (D) — at one point a candidate for the 2008 nod himself — on Monday threw his support behind Clinton, calling her a “seasoned, experienced leader who will be ready to lead this country on day one.” The two serve on the Senate Armed Services Committee together and traveled to Iraq and Afghanistan in January.
* Early predictions for the third fundraising quarter, which ends Sunday, hold that Clinton will outraise Sen. Barack Obama.
Those four factors — not to mention President Bush saying that he expects Clinton to be the nominee — and, voila, you see the Washington establishment lining up behind the Clinton “inevitability” view.
“The ‘establishment’ fears nothing more than not having booked passage on a ship set to sail,” explained senior party strategist, Carter Eskew, who is not supporting any of the current candidates. “She has passed early tests in the debates, built a great campaign, gained ground in Iowa, blunted negatives [and] mastered the Sunday talk gauntlet.”

Now the ‘will of the voters’ doesnt matter to Obama folks.
sure did in february.
Now that clinton will win the popular vote, ya cant use that angle anymore.
Why give the nomination to the person who lost the popular vote and all the major primaries except Obamas home state.

It’s so funny that Clinton is still claiming to be the more “electable nominee” and other self delusional BS when she is far lagging behind in the primaries. If you can’t win primaries than you won’t win a General Election for God Sake!!! Clinton claims that she will get back the economy on it’s feet while not being able to even maintain her own campaign finances !!!!! She is down in red by millions and begging supporters for money to spend in her delusional campaign. Does that sound like a promising economy Savvy candidate to run the biggest economy in the world.. This is the biggest joke I have heard. I have never seen a self centered , power seeking person like her in my life and frankly I knew that woman would be like that long ago since she was the First Lady. What surprise me that people supporting her as if she is the Messiah didn’t figure this out till now. She single handedly erased her husband legacy and have diminished her daughter chances to be in any political scene in the future. God help us all.

Hilary is $21 million in debt and in terms of being the eventual Dem nominee is as dead as Caesar.
Obama’s “zombies” have ponied up a huge treasure chest for the Novemeber run. There are 1.5 million of them, and unlike HRC’s legion of blog posters, they put their money where their mouth is. They’ve given money in small amounts, and can give more as needed. HRC’s donors are tapped out, and Bill isn’t going to keep throwing his Dubai millions down a sewer.
HRC’s supporters will soon see her throw her total support to Obama. Independent run? Starting out $21 million in debt? With a narrow constituencey that either can’t or won’t support a run financially? This is the most delusional suggestion in the history of US politics.
She’ll cut a deal with Obama so that Bill can get paid back his $10 million, and the other $11 million in debt they have can be retired. Once the superdelegates have administered the coup de grace, you’ll hear HRC declare that Obama will be the greatest US president in history. She’ll beg and plead with her supporters, and campaign everywhere on his behalf, as will Bill. Heck, he wants his money back.
At the end of the day, HRC needs Obama more than he needs her. She’ll have to come to him and make a deal that will help retire than mountain of debt.
You think she’s going to gamble $21 million (and likely more when new numbers are released for May)on a Denver challenge? Bill will step in before then.

The only thing I truly understand at this point is that Hillary Clinton is hell-bent on destroying the Democratic Party in order to get what she wants. She is burning her bridges and may well discover she has NO career left in politics when this is over. Can’t say I’m crying any tears over this. All I want is for a democrat to win the white house. I don’t care who it is. But her destructiveness is most like ensuring that this won’t be.

Posted by: counting crows | June 1, 2008, 9:21 am 9:21 am

What the Clintons care most about, what is of deepest concern to them is themselves. Not the Democratic party, not the country, not even their friends who they toss over the side very quickly when it begins to impact their quest to obtain and hold power. Those of you who refuse to see this are blind and ignore 30+ years of Clinton history. Democrats and the country needs to wise up to the Clintons. But alas, the Clintons know that there are many among who, like Republicans who follow GWB, will follow the Clintons blindly over a cliff. I am an Independent voter who has not made up his mind on McCain or Obama. But I have made up my mind on the Clintons long ago. They know no shame that is why they continue in this campaign.

So the question one must the ask oneself is, “What would she do if she were our POTUS and signed a “WHITE HOUSE ORDER”, “CONGRESSIONAL BILL”, or an “AGREEMENT” with a “foreign country” and later determined to renege? Do you know what that would do to our country and her presidency? I do!

I hear Jimmy Carter has blessed the MI/FL delegate decision as free and fair. So that’s enough from all you HRC dead enders, the other Sainted One has spoken.

Obama and his supporters are black racists. God help America if they win the election. The whites will be trodden down. They are full of hate and they call themselves “christians”

Obama is not denouncing the black racist hatred of his church; he is just cutting off his ties with the church for political convenience. He is a politician, like the rest of them; he is not a new, fresh candidate to heal the racial divide/hate. He is not what he claims to be.

Clinton does not have more popular votes. The votes in FL and MI cannot be counted because the primary process was flawed. Caucus states, such as WA, do not report popular votes even though they also vote in a primary.
* means nothing except that Clinton and her supporters will manipulate data to attempt to make a point.
Check out Clinton’s dirty laundry list. All public figures have them or have them created for them.

For those of you that have never experience political campaigning in Puerto Rico cannot understand why even eating dirt in a truck can be fun. puerto Ricans make a feast of every day life affairs. I am sorry I missed it. We do work very hard no matter what Party we belong to. I can just imagine the food served every
where the truck stop to deliver a speech. I watch on TV Senator Obama’s walk to music in Old San Juan and it had to be as enjoyable to the Senator for I saw him dance to the music written for his campaign. Senator Clinton won because she is known by Puerto Ricans from when President Clinton was in office, and the time she has served
as New York Senator. They were both treated very well, for we are very good host. And the Island lends itself to greet everyone and make a big party
of it. Senator Clinton was not the only one eating dirt, however the “lechon, arros con gandules, vianda, and pasteles replace the dirt taste very well.
Senator Obama received many votes considering he was not known that well. Both candidates did a very good job and I am grateful for that. Senator Obama and Senator Clinton will be well received
whenever they visit Puerto Rico again. We do not
hate the political opponent, we just vote and have a great party while doing it and after,,,….winn or loose.

The unmitigated racism and down-in-the-dirt nastiness of some of the Clinton supporters on this board are characteristic of a group who knows it is about to lose and is pulling out all the stops to spew as much bile as possible about their party’s chosen candidate.
Here’s a good example:
“WE CANNOT TRUST OBAMA… THEY’RE ALL FOR SELFISH REASONS… THAT’S WHY GOD WILL NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN…OBAMA WILL NEVER WIN THE GENERAL ELECTION….GOD WILL NOT LET UNITED STATES OF AMERICA BE RULED BY BLACK HYPOCRITES.
GO HILLARY!!!!”
Or this beautiful one:
“This may be the time of the Anti-Christ, but do you want to be on the list of people who voted for him?”
And yet somehow all the comments here decrying the nastiness of the tone are directed at Obama supporters. We are “like Rush Limbaugh,” we are “full of hate,” etcetera etcetera. And yet the quarter of Kentucky HRC voters who admitted they chose her because she’s white–they were just making their decision, right? No hate there. So thank you, Clinton supporters, for telling us your true opinion about how black people are like wild animals. Just get off your high horse and stop pretending that your camp has been behaving in a saintly way while ours has been “driven by hate.” There is plenty of hate for Obama on this thread and on the internet in general, and it’s not just because he’s black. It’s because he’s young, it’s because unlike Clinton he’s genuinely liberal and not afraid to admit it, it’s because he’s a fresh face challenging the stale orthodoxies of the political scene, and it’s because he had the temerity to inform HRC that this is an election, not a coronation. I know you guys weren’t expecting to actually have to fight anyone this year, but here in America we actually VOTE on candidates before we nominate them as our candidate for president. Your candidate had an overwhelming advantage, starting off with hundreds of votes she did nothing to earn and the status of presumptive nominee from the media that you have been complaining about ever since she started to lose. She had massive amounts of money and a crack team of experienced political insiders to run her campaign. And yet she failed. So now that even Bill is admitting that it’s over, it’s time to forget about the HRC pipe dream and decide whether you want to stay in Iraq for 100 more years or if you want us out now. You have to decide whether or not you want Roe v Wade overturned. You have to decide whether you want more tax cuts for the rich while the economy continues to tank, or a sensible spending plan that attempts to remedy the damage done to our internal infrastructure after eight years of neglect.
I am sure that plenty of racist HRC supporters like the person I quoted above will never support Obama. Fortunately, racists make up a much smaller constituency within the Democratic party than they do within the Republicans. I suspect that once the contrast becomes clear and Hillary herself grits her teeth and endorses Obama, the vast majority of HRC supporters will come to their senses and realize that depriving their daughters of the right to choose whether or not to have a baby is not a sensible way of getting back at the Obama supporters who said nasty things about their candidate on the Internet.
