When George Stephanopolous mention Rush Limbaugh’s "Operation Chaos" on ABC’ "This Week" Sunday — the radio talk show host’s plan to have Republicans vote for Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, to keep the Democratic Congress as protracted and divisive as possible — Clinton quipped, "He’s always had a crush on me."
Today Limbaugh responded on Fox News’ The Live Desk with Martha MacCallum.
“Now I understand why Bill Clinton hit on my date about a year ago at the Kobe Club in New York," Limbaugh said. "I was minding my own business and Clinton came in and the short version is he used the mayor of Los Angeles to distract me while hitting on my date. So I figure he must think it’s true too."
After McCallum said she found the story hard to believe, Limbaugh said, "he came over three or four times. He had Ron Burkle with him and the mayor of Los Angeles who I thought was either the shoe-shine guy or a Secret Service Agent.
"And he was going on and on and on about how he loved me and had to talk to me. And after a minute talking to the mayor of L.A., I glanced to my left and Bill Clinton’s face (was) three inches from my date. Now Hillary says I have a crush on her this is obviously something the Clintons have thought for a long time in their household.”
