Madame President Clinton? Chelesa Clinton That Is
ABC News’ Ed O’Keefe Reports: Perhaps there will be a Madame President Clinton after all. No, not Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y. How about former first daughter and active campaigner Chelsea Clinton?
"If you asked me (if Chelsea would run for office) before Iowa, I would have said, ‘No way. She is too allergic to anything we do.’ But she is really good at it," former President Bill Clinton tells PEOPLE magazine in their latest issue, hitting newsstands Friday.
In the PEOPLE exclusive, Clinton called his daughter’s "emergence" the "second best thing" of the campaign, after his wife’s "ability to endure in the face of all the blows that have been rained on her: outspent, dismissed, denigrated, declared dead…when I met her, I found that in her personal relationships she lacked self-confidence and was painfully shy. She is having more fun now than at the beginning. If you look at her, she seems perfectly relaxed, doesn’t she?"
When asked what he’s learned about Chelsea’s political skills, Clinton told PEOPLE, "It all changed after Iowa. She realized her mother lost Iowa 100 percent because of younger voters. She was upset, bawled, went to her employer and said, ‘Look, you got to let me go or give me an indefinite leave of absence. I’m not letting my mother go down like this.’"
The former president strongly rebuked the suggestion that the Clinton campaign ever played the race card against Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.
"I was really hurt about it at first. I am way over being hurt. This was cold-blooded, calculated, manipulated and a revolting strategy," Clinton said, in reference to the accusation that the Clinton camp stoked racial fears during his wife’s bid.
When asked the seemingly open-ended question, "Is there anything you want voters to know?", Clinton replied, "When I was so tired, I either was not as precise as I should have been or I seemed angrier than I would have been. That’s always my mistake. If I am to have any blame, that’s it."
Clinton also said he didn’t know Obama very well but called his wife’s Democratic nomination rival "an immensely talented man" before adding, "I think I understand him. There are enough similarities in our childhoods and things that I think I get what he is doing. But I do think it’s better to have made a lot of decisions before you get to be president."
Telling PEOPLE he speaks to his wife "probably three times a day", Clinton explained, "I got in the habit of not being an e-mailer when I was president because we had Newt Gingrich, who wanted to subpoena every e-mail ever written in the White House."
When asked whether the nomination fight would go all the way to the convention, Clinton replied, "It depends on what happens between now and then. It’s been really funny that when when all she asked was to let all the votes be counted, the response from the other side was to pressure as many superdelegates as possible, in districts mostly that she carried, to come out against her."

I was shocked when her name was included in an article in the NYT this weekend. Her name was along side women like Govenors Nepolitano, Pailin, and Selibius. Along side Representatives Pelosi, Giffords, Gillibrand, and Herseth Sandlin. Along side Senators Hutchinson, Klobuchar, and Collins. OUTRAGEOUS. These are self-made women. I’m a man with three daughters and this type of anti-feminism makes me SICK. What exactly are her qualifications? This should ENRAGE real women.

It’s time all the Clintons’ said goodbye. It’s the end of the road. Barack Obama has the lead in absolutely all the Democratic delegate count there is. What a shame he & his family couldn’t celebrate last night when they met that milestone of pledged delegates. Obama had to be careful not to upset Hillary’s voters. Barack Obama was entitled to that celebration.

David Gergen had a terrific suggestion last night:
Sen. Clinton should simply state that she doesn’t want the vote of people who aren’t voting for Obama because of race.
Say it as simply as that.
If the Clintons aren’t playing the race card, tell the American public they don’t want the vote of racists.

Oh the irony!
It makes me so bitter and angry that every time one thinks of Bill and Hillary, they normally think of Bill’s tawdry spousal cheating and the multiple allegations of sexual harassment levied against Bill by the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.

Re: MI VOTER’s “Round Three”
Actually, Jennifer Granholm doesn’t have the power to “vote”. As Governor, she either signs the bill into law or vetos it.
So, in answer to your question: Who voted to move MI Primary, in violation of DNC Rules and aware of the sanctions to be imposed?
The MI House and Senate voted to move the MI Primary, not Jennifer Granholm.

give me a break! Chelsea Clinton, the silver spoon-fed strawberry girl. You have got to be kiddin. That girl does not know about hard physical work, does not know about carrying for kids, a home, bills, gasoline, work, and all the other challenges most American women experience in a day. Moreover, she has no sense of what it takes to work hard for something, starting from ground up. Yes, Bill Clinton paid his dues as probably did her mother, but Chelsea, she opens her mouth, and stupidity spawns. She has no sense of statecraft, real-politique, and political philosophy.
Clinton’s “get the f*@k out of here. Go home and shut up!!

druggstohr be honest, anything anyone says that isn’t “clinton is the bestest bestest!” you’re going to reinterpret in the worst possible light. I’ve been seeing posts by people like you around the net. Nothing that can be said, short of “Clinton for president” at this point is anything but sexism and denigration to Clinton and her supporters.
It’s a mirror image of the GOP’s “liberal liberal liberal” tactics of the last decades. Anything you say to criticize something a republican does got you labeled a liberal and now anything you say about the Clintons, short of supporting them outright and without reservation, gets you labeled misogynist.
Definitely don’t need that in the Whitehouse.

This is not news, this is just more nonsense that demonstrates the contempt the Clintons have for the ignorant and self loathing who still support them.
Let’s remember that Chelsea is a 28 year old woman, sheltered, protected and now supported by a series of sinecures. I have an idea, let’s ask Chelsea about her cosmetic surgery at time when many Americans don’t have access to basic health care. The best thing for the Democratic Party is for the Clintons, all three of them, to go gentle into that good night.

It’s time for Hillary to swallow her pride and concede. The voters have spoken. The superdelegates have spoken and the majority doesn’t want her as President. The Clinton era is over and I agree with another post. It’s time the Clinton’s said ‘goodbye’ and threw in the towel. They have a sense of entitlement when it comes to running this country. Hillary and Bill are nothing but power hungry people, that don’t care about anyone else but themselves. Hillary puts on a big act, pretending she cares about the welfare of the people of this country. That’s bull! She only cares about herself and living in the White House. She is a much different person than she portrays herself to big. She’s the biggest prima donna in this country. Get out now Hillary. I’m SICK of looking at your face. I’m sick of looking at your healthcare hairdo and your ugly pantsuits and I’m sick of your loud screaming voice. Oh and I’m also sick of seeing your hand move with every syllable your speak! Put your stupid hand down. Walk off! Just walk off and get out! This country had you once before. They didn’t have Bill, they had you, so your time is OVER!

Using her mother’s reasoning,
Chelsea has a lot of experience.
Her father was President for 8
years, her mother was First Lady
for 8 years, and her mother was a
Senator for 7+ years. That’s
23 years of experience.

If your mother would have “went down” 9 years ago you wouldn’t have these problems! Furthermore, how do you get off demanding a leave of absence or to be fired. Some special treatment. Guaranteed job when your mom is finished losing or 6 mos of unemployment. Why not just quit…like your mom should?

I guess Chelsea will be able to claim she has the “experience” since she was “first kid” for eight years. “First kid” of Arkansas for eight years, conceived while Bill-Hillary worked on campaigns in Texas, her mom is named after the great Sir Edmund Hillary, and her dad was the first “black” president. Give me a break!!! Meanwhile, she’s master the “Clinton Babble” and doesn’t answer questions while out on the campaign trail. Not even the questions of a nine year old kid. Guess that kid can claim to be Chelsea’s George Steponopolous in 15 years too. These articles get Clintonites so energized!!! It is the medial now trying to make it look like Chelsea is going to public office now. She made it so clear that she has no intension to do so. Bill’s comments are from a proud parent who sees his daughter mature and getting strong in a positive way.

She works at some hedge fund, but lacks any track record as a money manager. In truth, she is paid to hang around because she is Bill Clinton’s daughter.
And that is someone who Bill Clinton seriously presents as a potential presidential candidate? It is so daft I cannot even laugh. I pity him for his delusions and embarassing himself like this.

I typed. And it returns 431,000 hits. So what? That doesn’t say anything. How many years that Obama has been introduced in the public life?
Also I would argue a caucus system does not reflect the popular vote. And we can approve that by using the Texas primary result. Did you see that the one who won the popular vote lost in caucus vote in the same state? Ironic. I don’t think any Obama supporter even wants to talk about that. After all, Obama is still doing the old way using a new package. Nothing new.
BTW, if you type “obama scandals”, it returns 498,000. A blow to you right?

The Michigan legislature has nothing to do with the timing of the Democratic primary. As a major player in the state party, Granholm indeed VOTED, with others in the party to move the date of the primary.
Posted by: Mike C | May 21, 2008, 7:05 pm 7:05 pm
HILLARY IS A HYPOCRITE, AND A LIAR!!
1. SIXTEEN months ago, Hillary Clinton, along with ALL the other 8 candidates who were running for the democratic nomination, ALL OF THEM, signed a contract which said that because they broke party rules and decided to move up their primary voting date, that the states of Florida, and Michigan would not count.
BUT when Hillary started losing the race, she STARTED LYING, ACTING as though she had not actually signed a contract. even when shw was confronted with her lies on television.
2. So not only is Hillary trying to get the votes in Florida, and Michigan counted, ( ONLY because she needs them to win), Hillary has said that she wants to EXCLUDE all the votes that were cast in states with caucases. She says that they should not. Now Hillary does not want the votes cast by voters in caucus states counted. (There goes Hillary’s whole argument that she wants EVERY vote to count) The fact is that Hillary only wants the votes in the states SHE won to count. So if you live in a caucus state, Hillary DOES NOT think ANY of your votes should count, And she said so!!
THIS IS THE TYPE OF MANIPULATION, AND DISHONESTY WE CAN EXPECT FROM HILLARY AS PRESIDENT. SHE HAS ALREADY SHOWN SHE HAS NO RESPECT FOR RULES, OR CONTRACTS.
WATCHING HILLARY LIE, AND CHANGE THE RULES WHENEVER SHE FEELS LIKE IT, SHOW THAT SHE IS MANIPULATIVE, AND DECEPTIVE, AND CANNOT BE TRUSTED TO KEEP HER WORD!

Here is my message to Bill Clinton, to Hillary Clinton, and to Chelsea Clinton:
We did not like you in the ’90s. We do not like you now. We do not like you in the future. We do not want to hear any more from your entire crooked thieving family.
Take the whole gang, and Barack Obama with you, and please do away. You are doing great harm to this country with your lies and half-truths. If this country is dumb enough to elect Obama we will have Osama bin Laden sleeping in the Lincoln bedroom before long.

Typical Obama supporters. Rotten to the last. Chelsea is gold. You want to go where she is speaking and comment on what she says, have at.
But go after her?
You start this and there won’t be a secret left in Michelle and Barack’s life. Every thing they’ve ever done, every person they’ve ever dated, every time they’ve cheated on their taxes, everything is fair game.
If that’s what you want, keep going after Chelsea. What you don’t realize is Washington is a cottage industry and the people on both sides of the campaigns are actually colleagues. You tear into the Clinton’s daughter and all of that collegiality will be put to the side while they create a firestorm around your candidate the likes of which you can’t imagine. Back off.

I used to not care if either Hillary or Barack got the Democratic nomination. The biggest factor to help me decide has been the nasty anti-Clinton comments here. They are scary, and I worry that Obama supporters are very vicious people.
So I decided I will probably vote for the candidate of the Green Party. If Obama would speak out against the vileness his supporters spew, I may reconsider.
It has occurred to me that this all could be a Republican plot. Still–he needs to speak out.

Gergen had a stupid ideal last night. He wants Hillary to tell all those who voted for her because of race to stop voting for her. LOL!!!
Gerg should make the same suggestion to Obama. Obama should tell all those who vote for him because of race that they should stick those votes up where the sun don’t shine.
Gergen is not as discriminating as he use to be back in his younger days. All his critical thinking skills have gone down the toilet.
Besides, all those polled who say that “race” is important to them on how they vote doesn’t mean that all those people are white. I mean, look at the “Rev.” Wright and all his congregation including Obama. Race is very important to them. And it always has been.

Then the “I know John McCain and I are fit to be president” crap. Then the “3am phone call” crap. Then there was the “She’s so broke, she lent her own campaign $5 mil/$11.4″ crap. The Michigan case is a beauty. Clinton engineered it with the state governor to violate the rules (see above), then wagged her finger like everyone else when the party punished the state. All the candidates accordingly took their names off the ballot except for Hillary, who then won de facto as the only candidate. All the votes should count, she now says, and why not? Only she would get any delegates. This is the sort of democracy that Stalin perfected. Congratulations Comrade Hillary on uncontested victory. Off to Gulag with you Obama. Your pledged delegate victory was machine error.

It’s time to decide as a party if we really want the White House or not. Yesterday, a friend called sobbing because her home is going into foreclosure. My mother in law talks about having lost so much money in stocks the past couple of years that she is worried about maintaining an independent life for the rest of her life. I think I spend about $120 each week on gas just trying to get to work. It’s time to stop the petty blogging and get an Obama-Clinton ticket going. I wrote here a year ago that he wouldn’t win without her, and she wouldn’t win without him — and HERE WE ARE! Call the DNC and tell them these two people are going on one ticket, a winning ticket. This year, the election is about me and my family and you and yours.

fougasseu…. Great Point!!!
“David Gergen had a terrific suggestion last night:
Sen. Clinton should simply state that she doesn’t want the vote of people who aren’t voting for Obama because of race.
Say it as simply as that.
If the Clintons aren’t playing the race card, tell the American public they don’t want the vote of racists.”
Especially considering she can’t pretend the racism doesn’t exist and was very much evident in the primary.
I guess it would seem sexist if they made her distance herself from racist.
The media makes all this noise about Hamas endorsement that has not election power let alone any power in the US, but hides from the endorsement that does have such power known as racist.

I am not, I repeat, I am not an Obamite. I’m from Missouri, where we raise Democrats and corn!!! I happen to think he’s beaten the machine, and now the machine is having a computer melt-down. I also know that as Democrats, we all have a BIG interest in this. All of US!!! I am also a combat veteran of Iraq (3 times). That needs to be over, like 4 yrs-7 mos ago. I also know that, $0.18 a gallon pandering will not solve the oil/gas problem. I also know that Hillary-Obama supporters together should trounce McSame/McCain. And if Hillary’s supporters screw it up, it’s all of OUR problem until 2012.

This is all part of the Clinton big picture. Chelsea was introduced during the campagn with the hope that Hillary would get the nomination and if she became president the Clinton sleeze machine would somehow position Chelsea to run in 2012. But a funny thing happened on the way to the forum. As more and more people see what a putrid pair Bill and Hillary are her nomination gets further and further away. Hillary has lost the nomination but rather than conceed with some dignity she will hang on till the DNC has to give her some title just to get rid of her.Don’t trust this pair.

I’ve already made this observation elsewhere but I am concerned that it sets up a scenario where Hillary serves 2 terms to 2016.
George Bush’s brother Jeb then runs and serves another 8 to 2024.
At this point Chelsea is old enough to serve 2 terms to 2032.
George Bush’s daughter, Barbara then runs and repeats this trend to 2040.
George Bush’s other twin daughter, Jenna then runs and duplicates bringing us to 2048.
A bit far fletched, but this what if exercise presents a scenario where the country could be controlled for almost 60 years by only 2 families that except for Chelsea and Jenna have gone to Yale if George H. W. Bush had been re-elected.

I posted a while ago that the Clinton plan all along (sick if you ask me) was Hillary for 8 years and then Chelsea for another 8 years.
Bill and Hill are convinced they are the smartest people in the world and the rest of us are dumb____ who need them to think for us.
I was extremely intrigued several months ago when Bill went ballistic over a bar having a picture of Chelsea on the wall. It was a decent piture but he was livid and it caused me to ask why? He was threatening to sue, the whole nine yards.
I thought about it and then the big light went on! Their plan: Hillary 8 years and then Chelsea another 8 years: married and in congress of senate by then.
I knew I was on track when all of a sudden: Chelsea doesn’t speak to the media and then, oph she speaks and she is on camera next to her mom every time Hillary knows she has won and its good news and never to be seen when Hill is at the podium and its not good news for her.

Obama Rocks-
You have problems that there wasn’t a recession the entire time Clinton was President (first time in history) and have problems that there was one after he left office?
You have problems that things were going so well in the dot com industry that there was huge speculation? Anytime there is huge speculation, there is going to be a bust.
You have problems that Clinton didn’t fight terrorists? Even though he tried and the Repulsives in Congress chanted “Wag the Dog, Wag the Dog”? Personally, I have problems with the first person who didn’t fight terrorists, Red Ink RayGun. If he hadn’t let the Marines out to dry in Lebanon, let 243 die, and did nothing about it.
You have problems he was impeached by a partisan Congress that spent over $100M trying to find something to impeach him over and all they found was a consensual bj? Oh, he was acquitted too.

The Clintons have been dragging around Chelsea for 28 years while they pursue their sick ambitions. Her mother even brought her to a war zone (Bosnia) HAHAHA She is 28 years old and needs to get a life- a life separate from her parents. It looks like Hillary told Chelsea that she won’t inherit the 100 million bucks if she doesn’t tow the line.

Go Hillary!
Actually the race card the Obama campaign played started early and ended after they sunk Ferraro and they realized they had gone too far. The campaign memos that were agressively accusing the Clintons and their supporters of racism were at odds with what was coming out of Obama’s mouth.
Why doesn’t someone in the media print those memos? It would make a nice book…
We could finally understand how the word “fairytale” is racist and how saying LBJ passed the Civil Rights legislation is racist. I would love to know how Ferraro’s words were racist when she spoke them and when Obama said the same thing about himself 2 years before it was acceptable.
We can also find out how Bill Clinton’s comparison of Jessie Jackson was racist…and you might want to mention the many media references that were made to that same comparison prior to Bill’s bringing it up.
I am a middle aged grandmother with a bi-racial grandson and I have been painted as a racist by the Obama campaign and the media for voting for Hillary. Think again if ya’ll think most of us are coming home to Obama come November.

Please don’t EVER talk about their daughter again. There is no damn good reason to pay attention to her at all for even one second. This has no bearing on local or national politics, and I am sick of the media shoving this down our throats, trying to make us believe that a last name is qualification alone for higher office. It didn’t work for Bush, and it won’t work for Hilliary. Please don’t bring their daughter into this mess as well. I am disgusted both by the Clintons AND the media in matters like these and wish a long respit before I ever have to be subjected to it again. Please stop the Chelsea babble, she’s got about as much qualification as Caroline Kennedy, Patti Davis (Reagan) or Jenna Bush, which is to say absolutely NONE!!! Despicable. Enough. Fini. Over. Done.

And remember that stupid video Bill Clinton made at the end of his term – with nothing to do in the White House? That is all he had to do while BinLaden was planning the attacks on 9/11. He made that stupid video instead of protecting the American people. And Joan is also so right about Hillary and Chelsea flying all over the world vacationing at our expense on Air Force One. Can you imagine if Bush’s daughters and wife had done that????

“Upon the passage of H. Res. 611, Clinton was impeached on December 19, 1998, by the House of Representatives on grounds of perjury to a grand jury (by a 228-206 vote) and obstruction of justice (by a 221-212 vote).
Also: “Clinton Disbarred From Supreme Court
By Anne Gearan
Associated Press Writer
Monday, Oct. 1, 2001; 10:48 a.m. EDT
WASHINGTON –– The Supreme Court ordered former President Clinton disbarred from practicing law before the high court on Monday and gave him 40 days to contest the order.
The court did not explain its reasons, but Supreme Court disbarment often follows disbarment in lower courts.
In April, Clinton’s Arkansas law license was suspended for five years and he paid a $25,000 fine. The original disbarment lawsuit was brought by a committee of the Arkansas Supreme Court.
There are no fines associated with the Supreme Court action. Most lawyers who are admitted to the Supreme Court bar never actually argue a case there, but the right to do so is considered an honor.”
Supposedly, a blue dress and sucked-on cigars are on private display for a small fee at the Clinton Library located in Little Rock, Ark. All proceeds go to the Bill Jefferson (BJ) Clinton Foundation for This and That.

It’s even published in the New York Times. Bush wasn’t the only homegrown terrorist the US has has in the past decade. Look it up… Oh and Google it, Chelsea aint Bill’s daughter either. Did you know you paid more taxes during the Clinton years than you pay now? Friends and family members have homes that are worth 300% more than they were during the Clinton years. But damn, the brown bagger/beer goggle/coyote ugly rule should apply for ANY and ALL presidential candidates – McCain included. At least one should look moderately appealing in some way… any way. I mean… something?!?!?! Cmon

Actually, I voted for him becaus ehe comes across as honest and full of integrity. I normally base my judgements on peoples attitudes, demeanor and other character traits. Even though we all have a little bit of racism in us, I normally try to not judge people based on sexual orientation, skin color or gender.
I am 100% positive that many people MANY MANY people like Obamam because of his personality and not his color. With taht said, I am proud (as a white person) to see that alot of people are coming around to being able to support a black man in our highest offices, sice that fact shows that some people in our country are getting beyond racism. (I said SOME)
Now, you, on the other hand, just the fact that you said what you did, shows that you are projecting your own racism. Do not assume that you know what makes me tick. I certainly would have picked him over Hillary as long as his peronality were as it is. Hillary is a self righteous, elite. I would never have picked her. (Nothing to do with gender either)

Do former President Clinton’s comment’s look like he’s searching for his own 101SSA#. Chelsea’s a fine woman and she hardly needs an offspring with an AKA which in the SSA computers as well as at the Department of Defense mean “closed opened closed”. I have one since the day it was recorded on my birthday July 17th 1952 on the first page of the NYTimes Vol CI No.34508 in Lindsey Parrots article between UN circles and high frequency. Anyone can add on to the first three digits closed opended closed and broadcast a circle-in-the-square on someone stuck in the square. Mine was the “Commandant’s Clock” at Armstrong’s Circle Theatre on NBC Channel 4 NYC,NY.280 days full term prior to my birthdate.

To all Texas Two-System bashers, go complain to Bill Clinton! He worked on them twice and managed to win them. Now we have to live with it. Did not work for HRC so maybe it was her, not the system, that failed in handing her a two-system win! Numerous caucus voters had their kids with them so too busy after work is a whining excuse. Once every four years a voter cannot find a couple of hours? Our 7/24 Department bent over backwards to make sure every voter could make it. But, weather here in Texas was a lot nicer. And, I for one would approve our GOP legislature passing a law that requires that all Texas voters provide proof of citizenship, no exceptions. There were Hispanics who are not citizens but still got registered and voted. Not legal! Government agencies from local, city, county and state require it so why not the electoral system. And, BBC is reporting that Israel is holding talks with an arch enemy Syria which supports Hezbollah. Not even a mention in our media. Guess our closest allies in the Mid-East have no problems with trying to do a bit of talking instead of always threatening to kill each other. Wonder if they asked permission from Bush first? And, in Iran, it is the Ayatollah and the Supreme Council who are the real power. They could swat Ahmadinejad out of power like a fly if they chose to. And, I hope every voter in Florida and Michigan who stayed home because of rules comes out in howling protest if HRC tries to take the majority of the delegates. She did not win 100% no matter how you try to cut the numbers. The rule-abiders or those who knew that they were disenfranchised and did not vote have an equal right to be heard too if that is the new claim – but strangely only after Big Tuesday. It was HRC who set a requirement that only those who voted the first time could vote in a seocnd round if arranged. Duh! This 67 year old white LOL is livid after telling children that rules are rules that they agreed to and that trying to change them in the middle of a game is cheating. The voters of those two States should have been howling outrage long before the primaries to get the decisions changed. And, why are Americans now obsessed with political dynasties? Our system would become ossified. Enough already. I am hoping – in the not too distant future – that a woman who has made it on her own – no Mrs. Name Recognition will appear for me to vote for because of her very own real accomplishments that hold up to intense scrutiny. Not this one.

Getting to Know John McCain
It came to me while I was having dinner with Doris Day. No, not that Doris Day. The Doris Day who is married to Col. Bud Day, Congressional
Medal of Honor recipient, fighter pilot, Vietnam POW and roommate of John McCain at the Hanoi Hilton. As we ate near the Days’ home in Florida recently, I heard things about Sen. McCain that were deeply moving and politically troubling. Moving because they told me things about him the American people need to know. And troubling because it is clear that Mr. McCain is one of the most private individuals to run for president in history. When it comes to choosing a president, the American people want to know more about a candidate than policy positions. They want to know about character, the values ingrained in his heart. For Mr. McCain, that means they will want to know more about him personally than he has been
willing to reveal. Mr. Day relayed to me one of the stories Americans should hear. It involves what happened to him after escaping from a North Vietnamese prison during the war. When he was recaptured, a Vietnamese captor broke his arm and said, “I told you I would make you a cripple.” The break was designed to shatter Mr. Day’s will. He had survived in prison on the hope that one day he would return to the United States and be able to fly again. To kill that hope, the Vietnamese left part of a bone sticking out of his arm, and put him in a misshapen cast. This was done so that the arm would heal at “a goofy angle,” as Mr. Day
explained. Had it done so, he never would have flown again. But it didn’t heal that way because of John McCain. Risking severe punishment, Messrs. McCain and Day collected pieces of bamboo in the
prison courtyard to use as a splint. Mr. McCain put Mr. Day on the floor of their cell and, using his foot, jerked the broken bone into place. Then, using strips from the bandage on his own wounded leg and the bamboo, he put Mr. Day’s splint in place. Years later, Air Force surgeons examined Mr. Day and complemented the treatment he’d gotten from his captors. Mr. Day corrected them. It was
Dr. McCain who deserved the credit. Mr. Day went on to fly again.
Another story I heard over dinner with the Days involved Mr. McCain serving as one of the three chaplains for his fellow prisoners. At one point, after being shuttled among different prisons, Mr. Day had found himself as the most senior officer at the Hanoi Hilton. So he tapped Mr. McCain to help administer religious services to the other prisoners.
Today, Mr. Day, a very active 83, still vividly recalls Mr. McCain’s sermons. “He remembered the Episcopal liturgy,” Mr. Day says, “and
sounded like a bona fide preacher.” One of Mr. McCain’s first sermons took as it s text Luke 20:25 and Matthew 22:21, “render unto Caesar what
is Caesar’s and unto God what is God’s.” Mr. McCain said he and his fellow prisoners shouldn’t ask God to free them, but to help them become the best people they could be while serving as POWs. It was Caesar who put them in prison and Caesar who would get them out. Their task was to act with honor.
Another McCain story, somewhat better known, is about the Vietnamese practice of torturing him by tying his head between his ankles with his arms behind him, and then leaving him for hours. The torture so badly busted up his shoulders that to this day Mr. McCain can’t raise his arms over his head.
One night, a Vietnamese guard loosened his bonds, returning at the end of his watch to tighten them again so no one would notice. Shortly after, on Christmas Day, the same guard stood beside Mr. McCain in the prison yard and drew a cross in the sand before erasing it. Mr. McCain later said that when he returned to Vietnam for the first time after the war, the only person he really wanted to meet was that guard.
Mr. Day recalls with pride Mr. McCain stubbornly refusing to accept special treatment or curry favor to be released early, even when gravely ill. Mr. McCain knew the Vietnamese wanted the propaganda victory of the son and grandson of Navy admirals accepting special treatment. “He
wasn’t corruptible then,” Mr. Day says, “and he’s not corruptible today.”
These qualities mattered in America’s first president and will matter as Americans decide on their 44th president.
ENOUGH OF THE CLINTONS !!!!!!!!!!

this is what i think.
i dont want another clinton in the white house!!!
i dont think chelsea is ugly and i dont think that she should be asked about her fathers sex life , thats just nasty…
i think hillary committed political suicide when she went pro mccain.
i think she is smart but gets angry easily and makes bad choices when she is backed into a corner..
i almost feel bad for her because i think the real hillary that was someone we all would have voted for was beat out of her when she was trying to “help”
her husband get power and trying to not be the far left!!
i think if she would stop trying to find power and if she wasnt so afraid of being wrong or weak she would solve all her own problems!

We had 8 long years with the Clintons running the White House. They claim PEACE and PROSPERITY – They were NOT responsible for the prosperity and that was some PEACE – I guess it all depends on the meaning of peace – We were under attack but they REFUSED to do anything about it.

Tim: Yes, a lot of us are angry. But, perhaps many are not hard working White Americans to be of any account? Hillary publicly tossed them aside – not Obama -in her appeal for votes. She has since regretted her remarks, but not offered an apology. She has now lost a number of the educated Hispanic female supporters in decent jobs where I work and still sputtering in outrage. Oh well. All of the candidates must be getting tired and being tired can open mouth before exercising brain. I would like to thank the commentator who stated in very clear and logical terms why Cindy McCain should release her tax returns. I really read comments. I switched my opinion that with a pre-nuptial agreement and separate tax filings, that she could keep hers private. But, stated the commentator, in what companies with overseas interests may some of her immense wealth be invested to be possible conflicts of interest? Ooops! Good point.

Should Obama reject voters who would not vote for a female and/or a white person. Face it the world isn’t perfect and neither is politics.

I think Bill is past his prime a bit as a politician if he really thinks he can blame Obama for playing the race card. Its sad to me to hear this coming from someone of his stature. Both his original raising of the issue and his inability to speak the truth about it now. I now have to ask myself, what is this “first black” President really thinking?
As far as Chelsea, I think people should be kind to her. She lives in a different world than most everyone else. And she has had a relatively easy life and that will likely continue. However, she seems to me, from admittedly a great distance, that she has been over protected and is a shy and not too self confident person. But there are some who bloom later in life and she may serve her country in ways none of us can now foresee. It has happened before.
I agree with the main sentiment that it is time for the Clintons to move on. Somehow, I think their strategy is to go a little at a time and to hope they can find a way to invent issues and do creative math and try to actually manipulate the supers and real delgates to change their minds. The only real way to do that is with the race card which is what “the lower income white voter” is code word for. If it succeeded, it would be an American tragedy of epic proportions.
I believe that America is ready for an Obama and has turned the page on past racist thinking. I know that not all but I think the majority have and the tipping point to a more open and integrated future has been reached. More power to her, not less.
The Clintons are holding on to what is essentially a lotter ticket bet that maybe America is not ready yet. I personally think they will lose that bet….

These people think they are entitled to run the country for decades because they are egomaniacal power-hungry pigs. Queen Hillary has been waiting for this her entire life- it is why she married Clinton and stuck by the old pervert. Princess Chelsea is entitled because she is the next-in-line. They really do think they are superior and are America’s royal family. They think they have replaced the Kennedy dynasty.

Speaking of presidential issues, why is Michelle Obama not responsible for what she says in a public forum while stumping for her husband? She and Bill Clinton are playing the same role: they’re trying to get their spouses elected. However, Bill Clinton is under constant scrutiny for what he says publicly and even Jesse Jackson basically told him to put a sock in it once . It’s the old double standard: Michelle is off limits because she’s someone’s wife.

I agree with Bill Clinton about Obama’s campaign playing the race card in S. C. against him. Whoever is running Obama’s campaign is very clever and they have a tremendous amount of money from “somewhere”–will be interesting to see who is backing him, and I do feel we will find out in the long run.
Hillary is by far the most qualified contender.
Any disagreement with Obama now or in the future will be branded racism, so people cannot have freedom of speech.

It is right for Obama to fight against the treatment his wife is getting by the GOP. It is wrong for the GOP to run this kind of stupid trash against anyone.

Fame may be so easy a bait to dream of, but so bitter to taste. We can easily know why Mrs. Clinton hasn’t accepted to be defeated, and why Mr.Clinton hurriedly think about a title of president for Chelesa. And we would like to share with their failure. Know how to accetp the failure, so, that means know how to live with easy mind.

Chelsea really is the chosen one. By that I mean the fortunate “choice” of the one woman who believed that bearing the child that Slick Willie inseminated them with would be worth it. After all, despite numerous odds, she beat the feminists at their own game, we should honor her with the appointment. Sort of how we “owe” Obama the same.
Posted by: John | May 21, 2008, 9:45 pm 9:45 pm
With all this being said, truth is this: Hillary has learned a very valuable lesson in that this has made her eat humble pie: If anyone exalts himself (herself) will be humbled and anyone who humbles himself will be exalted. She shouldn’t “stink” after the VP slot but wait “if asked” to come up hither.

I think the American public is sick and tired of Clintons and Bushs. It’s time for some new faces.
Jeb Bush understood this, and chose not to run. Hillary Clinton has self deluded herself into thinking America needs her. And now Bill Clinton is projecting ahead to the “Chelsea Presidency.”
It all comes down to the arrogance and sense of entitlement the Clintons have. When GW Bush steps down, you probably won’t hear from him again, much like Gerald Ford he will keep a low profile. But these Clintons demand attention as they suck all the oxygen out of the room….

Sorry, no I did not miss the point. I got your point and I responded. You are applying the double standard. Bill is a seasoned politician and so is Hillary. Yet I would not suggest they should be subject to the trash the GOP is throwing at them. I don’t care if you are an alien from outer space, it is not acceptable. All should speak out against this.
Obama’s wife’s comments were explained by her and I think her explanation and her thinking is understandable. She has responded and we should let it go at that. You know, what would happen if everyone went around and played over and over some incorrectly phrased statement you have made?
To come back to me and defend this is a statement about how you think. I don’t agree with the GOP or with you as an independent or anyone else who espouses this view. It is totally inappropriate.
Neither Obama, the press, nor I would suggest anyone is “untouchable” or not subject to explaining something that seems not right. People should be given the benefit of the doubt and not viciously attacked in the way this ad the GOP has created does – character assassination plain and simple. If a person goes and says the same sort of thing again, well that might open things up a bit again for explanation or for a loss of credibility on the explanation. Look at Bill excusing himself for being a little too tired or mad or what ever. And same thing for Hillary for an outright lie. Much could have been made of that in film which was not by Obama.
My point is no one should be subject to this kind of character assassination. And you need to stop accusing the press generally and Obama or anyone else from saying Obama’s wife is untouchable, and not subject to having to explain. That is not the “Truth”. Suggest you stop the spin on this and take up the true “Truth” and start railing against character assassination and the like.
I think you just want to make hay from this, but I don’t think it will bale…..

Both Clintons were, and still are, devious, dishonest, sneaky among other things, and otherwise unfit for holding the office of president. As for a madame president, we don’t need a madame as president.
No, I am not opposed to having a woman president. If we are to have a woman president, I just want a decent, honest, reliable woman as president. Not someone for an example, that I would be embarassed to have to admit as being a relative of, or a close acquaintance of.

A few commons about things:
1. The legislature AND governor Granholm are both responsible for moving up the Michigan primary. Granholm had to sign the bill for it to be enacted. Anyways, Clinton wasn’t the only one on the ballot, Kucinich and Gravel were also on the ballot, but Edwards, Richardson, and Obama were not. Clinton didn’t even get ALL the vote despite that. It was 55 clinton, uncommitted 40. There is no guarantee of who the uncommitted delegates would vote for, BUT I can assure you the reason the uncommitted vote was so high was because of people that wanted to vote for obama. If Obama and Edwards were on the ticket, Clinton likely wouldn’t have won, and even if she did she wouldn’t have gotten more than 30-35% if even that. THAT is why the Michigan delegates shouldn’t be allowed to sit. The election is not accurate. It makes my blood boil every time I hear Hillary talk about it. AND I am a Michigan voter. So I think my opinion on this counts and is probably quit typical among the 45% of people that didn’t vote for Hillary in January as well as the people who just chose not to show up because they knew the primary meant nothing. People that would’ve otherwise voted in the democratic primary opted to vote in the Republican primary because Michigan was given no delegates, AND only Hillary was on the ballot anyway. I find the Florida primary less problematic because everyone was on the ballot. But it is wrong to assume Hillary would get 100% of the delegates because she didn’t et 100% of the vote. But no one can assume how the uncommitted delegates (including Governor Granholm apparently who is apparently a huge clinton supporter) are going to vote.
2. Hillary is acting like a 5 year old. She is in total denial about the situation and needs to look at reality. All the signs point to her wanting to destroy Obama. Why? So McCain will win so she can run in 2012. There is much speculation that she is responsible for injecting so much coverage about Reverend Wright into the media. Additionally, she has referenced a possible “October Surprise” for Obama if he is nominated. WHY is she saying that? It makes it sound like she is going to be responsible for such a “surprise.” Not that she isn’t even remotely at risk of the same or worse happening to her. Everyone is scared to attack her, I suppose because she always blames the right wing conspiracy. Like Reverand Wright and Rezko even COMPARE to Whitewater and various other things that can be dredged up from arkansas. She is not being honest about how things were when Bill was governor of Arkansas, and she’s repeatedly shown that she is not above lying.
3. People that think Obama supporters are vile, I think you are failing to see what is so vile about what the Clintons are doing. They are purposely destroying the democratic party for their own benefit. I don’t buy for a second that Hillary is going to help Obama win, no matter what she says. Obama has been significantly more magnanimous than Hillary.
Seriously, people that think the Michigan delegates should sit as is, clearly don’t have any clue about what’s going on in Michigan. Stop buying into the bs the pundits ramble on about and look at reality.

Liberal_elite – You need to go back and reconstruct our presence in Iraq.
When Bubba was being impeached, he used his authority as the Commander in Chief to order the bombing of Iraq in his alleged quest for Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) – it was called “Operation Desert Fox.” He said at the time that he wanted to 1) degrade Saddam Hussein’s ability to make and to use WMD, 2) to diminish Saddam Hussein’s ability to wage war against his neighbors, and 3) to demonstrate to Saddam Hussein the consequences of violating his international obligations. Of course, what’s been conveniently forgotten is that his 4-day bombing campaign occurred at the very same time that the US House of Representatives was conducting Bubba’s impeachment hearing. Bubba was ultimately impeached by the House on 19 December, the last day of his 4-day bombing campaign – the REAL mission failed… to throw a little distraction into the process and avoid impeachment.
A few months earlier (20 August), Bubba also ordered “Operation Infinite Reach,” launching cruise missile attacks against empty terrorist bases in Sudan and Afghanistan (wiping out one of Sudan’s largest pharmaceutical companies). These strikes began just 3 days after Bubba was called to testify before a Grand Jury during the Monica Lewinsky scandal – again, hoping to distract us from another of his missteps.
How will historians record the chronology of the Clinton Presidency? Judging George W. Bush’s decisions is still premature – let’s wait and see what Iraq intel is stored above both you and I’s security clearances.
But historians can already write the book on Bubba – a U.S. President who didn’t even blink when he authorized the use of his incredible power in a pitiful attempt to distract the American public from peering into his moral failures.

From today’s Washington Post article, “The Sisters are Steamed,” by Howard Kurtz:
Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey:
“If Obama doesn’t want his wife to receive criticism, then he shouldn’t use her as a surrogate on the campaign trail. Whatever she says on the stump at campaign events is fair game for criticism, just as it has been with Bill Clinton. Obama’s camp has unloaded on the former President for statements he made about Hillary’s loss in South Carolina and several other incidents in which they believe Bill [Clinton] played the race card to explain Obama’s success. Bill’s not running for anything this year, but he has made himself a public figure in this primary race, and his statements are also legitimate targets for attack.
“The whininess factor has become a real problem for Obama. Presumably, we’d like a President who doesn’t play a perpetual victim on the national stage. What happens when he has to tangle with Congress over policy, or more to the point, when he has to represent America on the world stage? If he can’t deal with legitimate political criticism now, what will we get for a response when Obama runs the federal government?”
I do think that campaign-trail statements by Michelle Obama are fair game, since she’s in the arena.

Not only is she a bald-faced liar, but she also thinks we’re gullible idiots.

Namako OH3,
Good points. Distraction is an old tactic used many times. How about those non-specific “threats” that made our “terror alert” scale go off the charts during the last election? W owned those. Besides, you can’t really compare several bombing campaigns to a war that has cost us billions? Right? Let’s not forget the thousands of our soldiers gone and not returning. Wasn’t it, as you mentioned, negated by Clinton’s rendering of Sadam impotent with the strikes? They have never shown us anything conclusive. Even Blick said there was nothing there. Nobody disputed him. Hey, buddy, check out Halliburton’s stock price’s atronomical jump in the past few years. You are right that there were distractions, but nothing like what has happened to us lately. It is awful, and it is transparent as cling wrap! Not six, and one half dozen. Far from it! Thanks.

Leslie–If you are so sure that Obama would have done well in MI, perhaps you should call the Obama campaign and insist that they support a revote so that the will of Michigan voters could be counted. In fact, the Obama campaign refused to let this happen in any form. Why? Because the best he would ever do in Michigan is approximately the 40% “uncommitted” won in the primary. Obama wants to write off Michigan and Florida so he can steal the democratic nomination. It looks like he’ll succeed–But will lose the presidency, because independents (read “moderates”) won’t vote for him over McCain. He clearly can’t win in the swing states necessary to elect a democratic president (remember–the unpleasant reality of the electoral college). Summary: Candidate Obama = Republican Landslide. Congrats.

The Clintons are the new Karl Rove against the democratic party. They are making every effort to ensure their supporters vote for their friend John McCain. They and their supporters do this knowing full well that they get McCain plus so much more: Bush, Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, Rove, Cheney, fear tactics, war, economic ruin, etc.
So divisive and vindictive.
Women’s rights under McCain will be overturned. It’s a sad day for future generations.

Liberal Elite: You’d be crazy to think that if everyone was on the ticket in Michigan that ANYONE would get 40% of the vote. In January, no one was getting those kinds of numbers in the states that mattered. (ie all states but Florida and Michigan and states the candidates actually campaigned in. How am I not being disenfranchised twice over if Michigan counts? I don’t know why Obama didn’t want a revote, but Michigan sure as hell doesn’t have the money to pay for it.

Chelsea is a snotty, spoiled brat who tries to act like royalty. She was in Hawaii last year…mixing with the natives…and she reminded me of someone trying to imitate Queen Elizabeth! She was repulsive!
Another thing…why is the brat working for a hedge fund??? Is she keeping an eye on her father’s partnership in the Yucaipa Global Fund…where he made $20M last year??? I’m sure she’s investing his money with insider info…just like her mother made $100,000 from a $1000 investment in pork belly futures when they were Oakies in Arkansas!
She can’t hold a candle to Jenna Bush..who became a teacher and worked with the poor kids in Latin America! Why didn’t the ugly Chelsea get a job with the Peace Corps in Darfur or somewhere??? What an elitist snob!

This silly twit has exactly the same qualifications for the Presidency that her mother does- none at all. That, by the way, is the same amount that the prevailing American muslim, B. Hussein has.
Let me tell you something, Rufus Mubatu, who said, “Barack will lead us into a new age of peace and prosperity, where all men, regardless of their color or religion, will be free. We can learn to live with Muslims as they can learn to live with us, all together in a world without consideration of differences.”
We already have prosperity regardless of color or religion, as evidenced by the dissolution of the middle class. We cannot, however, learn to live with muslims because they choose to kill innocent people. They are a blood-thirsty lot and they enjoy killing. They are especially fond of dull swords with which to decapitate. Take a look; the muslims enjoy seeing their work online. You people don’t even have enough sense to sharpen your knives. I have an idea, however. I will gladly stuff a ham sandwich down your throat if you will only set one foot on my property. Please come on over for a great American holiday! My dogs won’t bother you very much. Please bring your friends, because while you need a band of chanting, crazy muslim brothers, I am a genuine American and am perfectly capable of defending myself.
And for those posters that continue to whine and complain about the 4,000 dead in Iraq, how about the total of 4,417 military deaths during the Clinton years. Can any of you count? Do any of you really care? Of course you don’t.

As a lifelong Dem…I would vote for dog catcher before I would vote for Hillary! And I am not alone!!! I must say that I have NEVER enjoyed anything more than watching the shock and awe as Hillary began her steep descent in Iowa! I was dancing on the ceiling…along with many friends! She was so sure of herself! Her arrogance was nauseating! And the last 6 months has been pure heaven…watching the Clintons experience death by a thousand cuts!!!
The MSN hates the Clintons so much that they would pay homage to George Bush if he could run against Hillary! I’ve never seen anything like it! It’s a phenominom we will never see again…pure and unadulterated hate for the Clintonistas! And what about all the Dem leaders who are deserting them??? It’s phenominal! It’s heaven!!!
If Chelsea has a brain…she will just go away after her mother’s campaign. She needs to go into the Witness Protection Program…and change her identity! How embarrassing for her…not that she doesn’t deserve it! Working for a hedge fund is not exactly what her father recommended in his book, “GIVING”. He should have titled it “TAKING”!
Everyone had to pull Bill Clinton out of the Oval office on the morning that Bush was inaugurated…did you know that??? He wouldn’t leave! And they’re going to have to drag Hillary…kicking and screaming…off the floor of the Dem Convention. She won’t go voluntarily!
Chelsea…do us all a favor…just go away, okay???

The Clintons have simply morphed into the most repugnant, dishonest, self absorbed, power hungry sociopaths on the American political scene. Truth, honor, integrity and character mean nothing to them. They lack a moral compass and have illustrated throughout this campaign that Hillary and Bill must simply do all of us a favor and go away already. We have NEVER, EVER seen so many DEM leaders defect and abandon any candidate in the history of the US…it just goes to show how much the Clintons are despised!!! They should be so humiliated and ashamed…but they are sociopaths and do not have normal reactions. They can’t be shamed!
The greed and lust for power is just oozing from every pore in
Bill Clinton’s body! He’s salivating..just thinking about getting his ass back into the WHQ He looks wild-eyed and crazy now…his hair is unkempt and his face is contorted. He’s truly a deranged man!

Is it possible for DNC to ‘take action’ against Hillary for consistently acting
& speaking against the DNC ruling on Florida and Michigan?
A punitive DNC ruling for such behavior would be a good example for future
trouble makers.
Specially a high profile candidate such as Hillary is expected to show more
respect and responsibility towards the party & rules! Else, what is the point of having rules?
A proper, fitting verdict could be – make her NOT ELIGIBLE for ANY democratic
ticket in ANY election, including the NY senate seat.

Yeah, I have to echo others’ comments in this case: enough Bushes and Clintons already. 300 million people (minus those too young, including Chelsea at the moment) to choose from and this is the best the US can do?
Posted by: Echo | May 22, 2008, 3:25 am 3:25 am
The comments focus on looks and things of that sort, which are not valid points on which to base an argument.
The fact is that Hillary Clinton does not possess the experience that she claims.
Her only experience holding an office is when she carpetbagged into the New York Senate seat a few years ago. No one is able to logically support a connection to New York that qualified her to represent its population. The idea that she is qualified because she visited their as a tourist/on business before is absurd. She clearly ran for that position because the friends and money connection in New York would allow her to take the position easily, and she would not be able to make such a move in most other states due to Republican resistance. She did not live in New York, is not from New York, had only a fleeting connection to New York, yet purports to be able to represent New York’s people.
Prior to that time, her only position was as first lady to Bill. Now, many people believe that her mere presence in the White House for those eight years qualified her for something. However, the fact is that any number of people, including the maids, butlers, secret service and others have been present in the same manner as Hillary Clinton was present during those eight years her husband was President. In that regard, it is FACTUALLY false that Hillary Clinton has more “experience” than Barack, or anyone else with more than a few years holding office. People can’t say it, but the fact is “experience” at what??? At uncomfortably supporting a man she clearly has outward contempt for? That qualifies you to be President?
The idea that because she conceived a child with Bill Clinton 28 years ago, and therefore because she presumably had intercourse with him 28 years ago, somehow qualifies her to be President is absurd. If we were to use that standard, than Eliot Spitzer’s call girl friend should run for office in the near future.
As for Chelsea, again, what qualifies her to run for anything, let alone President some day? Was she conceived for the purposes of giving her parents a ‘family’ for political pictures? We will never know, but we know that she has never held office, and any positions she has held were the direct result of her parents.
These are people who if they were this obsessive about anything other than holding political office, they would be called psychotic. They would be comparable to the stage parents a la Lohan or Culken. For instance, if they behaved the way they have over the years in pursuit of being a baseball player, or of becoming an actor/actress, people would look at them with scorn. The fact that they put a public service spin on things is disengenious when it is obvious they want the seat for their own self gratification. When someone is so calculated such that they completely put aside any personal humanity, such as when Hillary has stood by Bill after his multiple public infidelities, in contrast to any reasonable human emotion, that is a certifiable psychological abnormality. Which I guess somehow, in their minds, qualifies her to be President.

Dude, you have to come up with more intelligent responses, unless you’ve been drinking, in which case, you get a pass. While humorous, your response just gives ammo to feminists, and others, to say that people are sexist and therefore are unable to be objective about Hillary. Just use the facts, they are so on your side, that resorting to crudeness is unnecessary.

Why is anyone who dislikes Hillary Clinton automatically assumed to be an Obama supporter?? Can’t we just have the opinion she is the wrong choice for president because she is not a leader, is a liar, is manipulative, has double standards, has a sense of false entitlement, does not have the experience she claims, wants to change the rules to suit herself, blows up when she doesn’t get her way, makes a mockery of the democratic process, has never done anything for the poor other than talk about helping them, changes her stand on issues based on the prevailing wind and makes empty promises?? I agree with Obama. We do need change, but I don’t know who can deliver it. I do know Hillary is not the one.

Clintons, go away. Just go away. I am so sick of the lies, the misspeaks, the posturing, whatever. Are you so desperate that you accumulate more than $30m in debt to “buy” the presidency? How much would that money go to help people without healthcare? How many computers would that buy for inner-city kids living in areas that are less priviledged than others? How much help would that amount of money help to tutor, give advice to kids who do not have the parents to guide them through high school to strive to go to college.
I am so sick of reading about inner-city kids being shot, stabbed, killed. My cousin is a nurse in an emergency ER in a Boston hospital. Put your money where your mouth is Clintons. You are the first black president, Bill? Do something. Don’t lie about your wife. Don’t lie about her qualifications. Don’t pretend that you have a good relationship, a good marriage. I so agree with Steve.
I am so sick of Bill Clinton’s tirades. I am so sick of the Clintons self-serving, egotistical attitude, I am so sick of them thinking that the voting public are so stupid, that they believe their crap. Doesn’t he understand that people have his number? The picture of him of him on the Drudge Report shows a man with a huge, red nose. Do you have a drinking problem Bill?
Just go away Clintons. We have had enough of you all. (And I am a democrat.)

Good heavens! The Clintons want the White House, however they get it. And now, they have decided to aim for establishing a dynasty! Chelsea has done nothing beyond earn degrees at elite private colleges and campaign for her mother! What is Bill (whom I used to admire) thinking of? This is the sort of thing that is standard in countries such as India and elsewhere, where power and wealth seizes government and ensures continuation through generations. There is no more insiduous attachment to suppression than the presumption of dynastic succession through privilege and access.

In 1988, George HW Bush won the Presidency. It has now been 20 years that our leader has been named either Bush or Clinton, a number that HRC would like to extend to 28.
Enough with the Clintons, Bushes, and also the Kennedys!

The race talk started by Bill Clinton hismelf.
Right after Hillary lost S.Carolina primary to Obama,Bill said to journalists..”Jesse Jackson won South Carolina more than once before’…Let’s examine what Bill said:
Obama has nothing in common with Jesse Jackson.one was a legistlaot, professor, and now a US senator , the other Jesse has been a black leader activist and reverend all his life.
There is also a difference in age between them.
They have one thing left in common, and one thing only..and that’s their color which Bill used.
Bill can slice it and dice it anyway he wants…but it is obvious…what he meant.

Can’t a dad be proud of his daughter? Apparently not if you are a Clinton. All of you fools on the left who have pretended there is no difference between the Bushes and the Clintons and the Carvilles and the Roves are the equivalent of political virgins. You have no clue about what it takes to run a government or you wouldn’t be so gullible that your guy Obama is somehow above politics. The Clintons did not invent attack politics, they mastered defending against those politics. Hillary is guilty of one thing and one thing only; she has been in the public eye, not in the peripheries but in the close up for 16 years now. Look at the drop in Obama’s standing since the Wright issue jumped on the scene. That was only a few months ago. I will vote for Obama in November but I have no delusions that he will turn the tide in Washington. I have seen the Clintons do it. His best chance is with her on the ticket. That is demographic fact. Look at FL, OH and PA.

Does anyone really care what Lying Bill Clinton has to say about anything?
He’s more irrelevant now than he EVER was when he was the irresponsible, conniving, woman abusing president of the most embarrassing chapter of our country’s history.
The whole bunch of the Clintons should just go away and leave us in peace. They’re the biggest lying hypocrites we’ve ever had in office. Hillary can’t remember anything until a book editor waves a multi-million dollar check in her face – and then she writes a book about her memoirs.
She wants to bridge the gap between the poor and the wealthy but hasn’t opened up her pocketbook yet to set the example, by donating most of her ill-gotten wealth to the less fortunate. She wants to take from the others who’ve worked for 35 years to get somewhere and then give others’ hard-earned money to those have-nots. If it’s so bad to be wealthy, why does she still have so much money?
And then she claims the oil companies are making out like bandits. Give me a break. The “smartest woman in the world” can’t understand what the oil companies are all about? Fly in that private jet, Hillary, and then demonize the oil companies. Another joke.
Be consistent, Hillary. The oil companies make 7-11% profit margin, but put their profits back into exploration and drilling. Go after bank executives or other industries that have higher profit margins than the oil companies.
If you think the oil company executives make too much money, go after the Hollywood actors who make millions by pretending to be other people. What do they do to improve our energy fiasco?
We’d all be better off if Hillary exited stage left and took her womanizing, adultering husband and her pampered and privileged daughter.

Having absolutely no experience or qualifications to be President puts Chelsea only about 3 years behind Obama. And while Hillary’s been riding Bill’s soiled coattails only since she got married (pretty much the sum total of her so-called “years of experience”) Chelsea has been doing it all her life.
No experience, no qualifications, socialist views, and a sense of entitlement: sounds like a perfect Democrat nominee.

….As an African-American male I beg to differ with your opinion. I don’t feel that Hillary has been any more racist in this campaign than Obama has. He has been very strategic by saying he was not running on race, and then he strategically pulled the race card 9by not pulling it) with Bill and Hillary. I’ve campaigned for Hillary and I can tell you that African-Americans are more racist towards Hillary Clinton that she is towards them. I feel that most of Obama’s supporters are racist, and least ones I’ve talked to.
If Barack Obama was a blond-haired, blue-eyed caucasion candidate running for President with the exact same message of change you and I both know that he would not be getting over 90% of the black vote. I’m tired of Black people saying that they are not voting for him because he’s black. It plays a very large part in their descision.

Since 1981 (more than 27 years) there’s a Bush or a Clinton in office.
This is the perfect example of oligarchy (a form of government where political power effectively rests with a small elite segment of society (whether distinguished by wealth, family or military powers)).

if we are a country that is the image of freedom and equality to the world, then it will be no issue to elect an american, who happens to be “tanner” than some others, right?

After watching in HORROR at the way HRC has campaigned and the way she has setback women at least 40 years, I doubt seriously that Chelsea will make it that far and even if she managed to do so, I doubt seriously that she would ever win any political position since certainly the African American community would NEVER SUPPORT any person with the name clinton, and there are many other women [and men] in my age group of 65 and below that KNOW ‘BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT’ THAT WE WILL “NEVER” VOTE FOR ANY PERSON WITH THE NAME OF ‘CLINTON’. Why the heck can’t anyone just bring themselves to admit that the future comes from powerful women who HAVE ACTUALLY RAN SOMETHING ON THEIR OWN. You know like Kathleen Sebelius (who was mentioned 3 times in an hour on MSNBC as a VP and future President), Napalitano, Palin (a Republican), Jodi Rell or Claire McCaskill. Why can’t the Clintons just go away? They’re new desire to tie Chelsea, who always claimed to hate politics, have zero interests, and refuse to answer any questions, into politics is all the more sickening. For God’s sakes, let it go already Bill. I can’t wait until Kathleen Sebelius is elected president in 2016 and I don’t have to hear about this crap anymore. It’s not women. HRC is not a victim of sexism via the media. The media has never liked her…her arrogance and entitlement has turned heat up on her not her gender.
No one really liked her… they accepted her because of Bill… she rode his coat tails from Ark to the senate. Please do not try to say she has so much experience..she really doesn’t have anymore that Obama …she has more fed gvt exposure…Obama has more hands on experience with team building and legislation on the state level. How his campaign is run shows exceptional leadership and management.
The race card was tossed on the table beginning in NH when she said that disparing remark about MLK… then she aligned herself with BET owner Bob Johnson…who made his millions broadcasting racist , exploitive and mysoginist programming of Blk plp…then Bill maligned Obama in SC by comparing him to JJackson… need I keep going.
HRC had my vote…until I noticed her arrogance and lack of true experience…desiveness..and lies about MI & FL…too much that I can’t trust… Obama has been consistent and tried to dodge race as much as possible..being a BLk man running for Prez is not a plus….HRC is losing because of herself…not sexism or racism or any other ‘ism other than her own hedonism…
PS: Leave Chelsea alone…

Then notion that Chelsea Clinton could be taken seriously for any reason is another sympton of the self absortion of the Clintons. This is a child of priviledge who has NEVER GIVEN ANYTHING BACK.
