Obama Open to Helping Clinton Relieve Her Campaign Debt

Should she concede… LOL WOW! I am speechless. Can this guy get any more condescending!?! So he’s buying the superdelegates, and now he wants to buy Hillary as well! I will NEVER vote for him in Nov, and I’m sure Hillary will NEVER accept any money from him.

The 2008 primary race will go down in history as the birth of the Independent Party, in which Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will declare herself the leader, after leaving the DNC on May 20th. She will announce her declaration of Independence on the Lou Dobbs show and millions of Americans will support her as she soundly beats Obama and MCCAIN in a general election…running as an Independent. Due to the incompetence of Howard Dean, the disenfranchisement of Michigan and Florida, blatant media bias, and the premature coronation of Obama,…millions are prepared to leave the DNC in the dust and let it be the liberal party of snobs and cooks like Al Sharpton.

Drugs Didn’t Hurt Obama
In tonight’s papers there was an article by Joseph Califano, chairman of the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University. “The drug problem on American campuses has become so extensive that more and more university police are finding they don’t have the manpower to fight it by themselves”.
Which begs the question how will Obama as President handle this crisis for our young people? Another valid question. Obama’s use of cocaine and marijuana as a young man, which Obama has been open about in his memoir and on the trail just beg for more information. Did he ever give drugs to anyone? Did he sell drugs to anyone? His campaign said to end the conversation that he was “young and irresponsible”. So the answer is he probably shared drugs with other college kids if he was irresponsible.
In Henderson, Nevada during his visit a question was asked about drug legalization. The questioner claims that the “failed drug war” has killed more people than all the wars in American history combined; he then notes that had Obama been arrested when he did drugs as a teenager, he probably wouldn’t be running for president today. Interesting thought, but he wasn’t caught or if he was it has been removed from the records, (having worked for lawyers I realize this is easy to do). The question was asked “Will you end this drug war?”
“I am not interested in legalizing drugs,” Obama replies. “But what I am interested in is putting more emphasis on a public health approach to drugs, and less on the incarceration approach to drugs.” I’m not sure what this really means except it sounds to me that he doesn’t think it should be against the law (less emphasis on incarceration approach). No changes coming here with Obama at the helm. The sixth question was about drug legalization. The questioner claims that the “failed drug war” has killed more people than all the wars in American history combined; he then notes that had Obama been arrested when he did drugs as a teenager, he probably wouldn’t be running for president today. The country “has been decimated by this drug war,” he says. “Will you end this drug war?”
The message he is sending to our young people is that you can take hard drugs for years, break the laws, harm people’s lives and it is okay if you are “young and irresponsible” and you can grow up to be President of the United States. So you Superdelegates you are going to lose this election by the selection of this candidate as you cannot fool the American people all the time!

I am an independent and if you tink I am voting for her in this party think again<I would go and register as something else.Like we have said all along she is trying to break the party.She set out to do this and if she can't have the nod neither can anyone else.Let her run we will see what happens ….

It is my understanding that the Obama Campaign is prevented, by law from contributing to the Hillary Campaign, there is that $2300 limit that must be adhered to.
So what we are talking about here is some joint fund raising to help pay off her debt.

Obama NEVER uttered the words “Hillary to concede”. That was written by the author.
Obama just said that he will talk to Hillary about a “broad range” of issues when this contest is finished. Perhaps he wants to talk to her about being his running-mate. Who knows. It may have NOTHING to do with paying her debts because the Clintons are worth $100 million so they themselves CAN PAY THEIR OWN DEBTS.
I doubt Obama will pay off Hillary’s debts with the donor money he got from 1.5 million people especially when the Clintons are worth 100 million dollars themselves.

Previous runners have had the winner pay off campaign debts for the loser. This is nothing new. She hasn’t bowed out yet so his attitude is a bit pompous if you ask me.

The Presidential race won’t be a cake walk nor a slam dunk for either side. Just a year ago, if not even more recently (just prior to Iowa in January), everyone had Clinton as the inevitable POTUS and McCain was all but “dead” politically last summer. It may depend more so in this election (than in past elections) who will be their respective Vice-Presidential running mates. If Obama puts Hillary on the ticket, say goodbye to the Democratic Party – if you think Obama has baggage, with the two of them on the ticket, it will be a recipe for disaster. I know I would vote McCain if Hillary insists on a joint Democratic ticket. If Obama becomes POTUS, he could better reward Mrs. Clinton for her tiredless efforts with an ambassadorship to Bosnia (watch out for sniper fire, Mrs. Clinton!)

Well a poll is not a vote and certainly, any comparison of Hillary or Obama to McCain at this time is a little early. Let’s see how things trend out and what the voters’ judgment is in November. It is hardly worth getting too excited and getting into a hypothetical question about n imaginary and hypothetical match up at this particular moment in time. If I recall, it was not that long ago the reverse was true.

I believe that Hillary should, after she takes the Presidential Oath of Office, show her gratitude to Senator Obama for his kind offer to retire her campaign debt. I think this would best be done by offering Senator Obama a high governmental position, like Ambassador to Kenya.

I think Senator Clinton knows she has lost but still running to recover the money that she has loaned to her campaign and to pay off debts.

The fact is that when Bill Clinton became president, the economy was naturally on the upswing. Because of all the Clinton’s dirty dealings (too many to list) we voted in a republican majority under his administration.
The Clintons did nothing for AA. He courted the black vote because they were the most loyal base in the democratic party, and blue collar workers were voting republican.
It was because of the AA votes Bill was even reelected.
He set up shop in Harlem, because his wife had aspirations to run for president, and he wanted to mantain that base.
He signed NAFTA into law, and most of our jobs went overseas. That’s why we’re in this sad state of affairs now.
It’s all due to the Clintons.

As a very unhappy Michigan voter, I want the DNC to know they have destroyed my interest in ever again voting for a Democrat, other than Jennifer Granholm. The DNC is run by an idiot who couldn’t get through the nomination process and is now destroying the process. Hugh Rodham was paid $400,000 to lobby for a pardon of Almon Glenn Braswell, who had been convicted of mail fraud
and perjury, and for the release from prison of Carlos Vignali, a drug trafficker who was convicted and imprisoned
for conspiring to sell 800 pounds of cocaine. Sure enough, in his last hours in office (when he issued a blizzard of
pardons, many of them controversial), President Clinton agreed to the pardon for Braswell and the sentence
commutation for Vignali.
Hugh Rodham reportedly returned the money after the scandal became public and was an enormous political liability
for the Clintons.
Both Clintons professed to be ignorant of anything improper or untoward regarding the pardons. Once, when asked
specifically if she had talked with a deputy White House counsel about pardons, Mrs. Clinton said: “People would
hand me envelopes. I would just pass them on. You know, I would not have any reason to look into them.”
It wasn’t just the pardons that sullied the Clintons’ exit from the White House. They took furniture and rugs from
the White House collection that had to be returned. And they received $86,000 in gifts during the president’s last
year in office, including clothing (a pantsuit, a leather jacket), flatware, carpeting, and so on. In response to
the outcry over that, they decided to repay the value of the gifts.
So class is not a Clinton forte.
But it’s one thing to lack class and a sense of grace, quite another to deliberately try and wreck the presidential
prospects of your party’s likely nominee — and to do it in a way that has the potential to undermine the substantial
racial progress that has been made in this country over many years.
The Clintons should be ashamed of themselves. But they long ago proved to the world that they have no shame.

Why don’t her supporters bail her out if they feel so passionate about her. Hilary’s spending has been reckless and irresponsible.
She paid too high salaries to her campaign staff and their consulting companies. It shows what kind ot government she would have run. Nepotism.

Both Clinton and Obama have built impressive organizations. It cost them millions to build. It is unreasonable that she would just hand over access to her donors and network of election workers without some compensation for the expenses she incurred in building her organization. She isn’t expected to make a profit but erasing her debt is a totally reasonable proposal.
Of course, Obama could in the short amount of time left before the November election try to rebuild the Clinton coalition from scratch but that would unwise. 26 million voters have voted for Senator Clinton and the easiest access to them would be through Senator Clinton. This is just good business.
