Zimbabwean Ambassador Takes Umbrage at Clinton’s Florida Remarks

The ambassador to the United States from Zimbabwe, Machivenyika Mapuranga, took issue this week with comments Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, made in Florida last week to urge that the Democratic National Committee count every vote as cast from disputed contests in Florida and Michigan.

In Sunrise, Florida, on May 21, Clinton referred to people who "go through the motions of an election only to have them discarded and disregarded. We’re seeing that right now in Zimbabwe. Tragically, an election was held, the president lost, they refused to abide by the will of the people. So we can never take for granted our precious right to vote."

Mapuranga said Clinton’s remarks were made "out of ignorance or malice."

"The 29th March 2008 election resulted in the ruling party (Zanu PF) winning 97 seats, and the opposition party (MDC) winning 99 seats, as declared by the independent electoral commission," Mapuranga said. "If Sen. Hillary Clinton was not aware of these facts, her ignorance can be excused considering the stressful situation she is in because of her faltering campaign; but if she was aware of the facts, we can only conclude that this is yet another of her misspoken utterances."

"There were four presidential candidates and none of them attained the requisite threshold of 50 percent plus 1 votes," Mapuranga said. "The Electoral Act provides that in that event there must be a run-off between the two top candidates."

Every Clinton remarks (whether it’s from Bill or Hillary) are made “out of ignorance or malice.”
Same as her Kennedy comments, Bosnia comments, Iran comments, Umberella comments, white-working class comment…
all the same. Partically why she lost the nomination.

Lately, every time I hear her speak I feel like I’ve entered bizarroland. It’s beginning to feel like something is just not quite right with her (and her husband, too). Somewhere along the way I’ve lost all respect for her. She’s such a smart woman but her campaign has been run terribly and her almost pathological desire to win at all cost has put a real damper on what could have been an amazing primary season with candidates talking about ISSUES. It will be a relief when it’s over.

The MSM will always find a way to excuse Hillary because they are afraid Bill will wag that angry finger at them

Facts remain
The DNC is having a meeting this weekend to try to end the race early.
They Could of just as well had a meeting early on to amend the rules when Florida and Michigan, informed the DNC that their state primaries (run and paid for by the state) were being held early.
They chose not to.
They chose to cast the voters to the curb.
Show you the DNC and high powered dems playing god and political fixers.

Wow, sounds a lot like what happened with Iran.
That’s “our girl,” as her supporters like to call her: Ready on Day 1 to cause an international incident!

seah – would you still feel this way if Obama had gotten the votes in Florida and Michigan? It seems to me that this was a non-issue when Clinton was ahead, but once she started losing primaries, THAT’s when she and her supporters changed their minds. She signed a pledge, along with all the other candidates, and spoke to the press about these votes not counting. The “rights” of the voters in these two states didn’t matter to her as long as she was ahead. No one seems to want to address this issue directly.

Zimbabwe being a military dictatorship that slaughters its own people disguised as a democracy where the leader of the opposition has to leave the country for fear of being executed.
And their criticism of Clinton is of any concern why????
If we want to take this analogy further we could point out that the governement of Zimbabwe slaughter white people for their land and they support Obama, who wnet to a church for 20 years that preaches black liberation theology.
Zimbabwe practices black liberation theology as well.

Hillary agreed to the rules at the beginning, you can NOT change the rules in the middle of the game.
Hillary is nothing but a sore loser.

Zimbabwi and its leaders are corrupt. Her remarks were accurate. Only a person who thinks corruption is the best way to govern a country would find fault with her statements. Those African countries are always at war and fighting while their people are starving
The USA has to feed most of their people.

These comments are for those White Blue middle class and white poor Americans who voted for President Busch the second time and got more of the same. You have short memories. Now a large number of you are ready to vote for McCain for President. You will never learn until it’s to late for you. You can’t see the trees for the forest. Like it or not Obama at this time is the only one who have not lied us you and tried to get you to see you are hurting in your pocket book and would vote for Hillary or McCain who will keep giving you the same old Busch soup warmed over. If you do not vote for Obama who will work hard for all Americans toward true change, don’t complain when you pocket book is complete empty. Wake up and smell the coffee Blue working Americans. It’s later than you think. How can you buy in on the many lies that have been told to you?
An American with White top skin.

First of all this is the correct spelling of Zimbabwe. Bush & Cheney are corrupt. That’s why America is messed up today. Katrina happened and we still haven’t fixed it yet America wants to feed the whole world.

And we should care what the people in Zimbabwe think, why?

No American government leader has any business pointing finger at other governments over so-called ‘democratic’ elections.
A highly industrialized and so-called democratic nation like the US took 31 days to settle a ‘democratic’ Presidential election in 2000.
And the final settling of the supposed democratic election of 2000 was eventually decided by NINE OLD PEOPLE, instead of by the American people!
In this election of 2000 and other US elections, hundreds of thousands of African American have been systematically disenfranchised due to racism.
No American leader has any business pointing finger at other governments about so-called ‘democratic’ elections.
As a wise Russian leader would say of Hilary Clinton, “A head of state should at least have a head”. lol

Somewhere along the way America lost all respect for Hillary.
Somewhere along the way Bill lost his temper and wagged his finger.
Somewhere along the way Hillary and Bill both lost their minds.
Somewhere along the way the Clinton’s lost this election.

… just to mention it and to say something academic: Politics actually is about changing the rules aka laws. So Hillary maybe thinks she isn’t to much off the track.
The style however is diplomacy. Unfortunately her style is often poor.
Overall Hillary has good intentions, but her processing is poor.

If an Obama supporter’s utterances fall on deaf ears, could one assume that they never said anything?

There is quite a lot of garbage that is being peddled of Barack Obama, one of the comments says Zimbabwe is waiting for welfare from Obama, thats malice and misplaced ignorence, Obama was the first to denounce Robert Mugabe, Obama was the first to say Mugabe should respect the will of voters and the comment suggest Obama will give assistence to the Mugabe regime as it is a black government, it does not make logic,If there is anything similar it is Clinton and Mugabe they both share same vision of war in Iraq, Mugabe supports the Iraqis rebels to continue fighting and Clinton says Americans should also continue in the war
