Carter to Endorse Obama Following Poll Closings

ABC News’ Karin Weinberg Reports: Former President Jimmy Carter plans to endorse the presidential bid of Democratic frontrunner Barack Obama after polls close in the final two primary races Tuesday night.

Carter has previously hinted at his support for Obama, noting that many of his family members support the Illinois senator.

In an interview last month with Sky News in London, Carter said June 3 would be D-Day for Democratic candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y.

"I’m a superdelegate," Carter said. "I think a lot of the superdelegates will make a decision quite, announced quite rapidly, after the final primary on June 3…I have not yet announced publicly, but I think at that point it will be time for her to give it up."

Another loser endorses obama, not to mention another terrorist sympathiser Boy those dems really know how to pick ‘em.

It’s not appropriate for him to pressure Hillary to quit.
He can endorse whoever he wants, but he can not force Hillary to give up.
Is he jealous on Clintons?

For everyone who has brain, we will know, dem. party intentionally picks a weak and inexperienced candidate, so, other more experienced ones can impose their influence on him.
There will be chaos if the weak candidate becomes nominee, because so many of others want to control him, there will be disagreement, even fight in the future, not good for the party actually.

Carter WHO?

What a tragedy. Style wins over substance – and the radical left has stolen my party. The simple truth is Obama is unworthy of the highest office in the land and I like millions of other good Dems will never support him.

Carter is a good man but his timing of things is just odd.
Why not wait until the polls are closed and then make his anouncement?
It is so unnecessary to do so now.

This campagin really opens my eyes what women are up against.
A first rate woman who will make the best president has to be set aside for a second rate man whose only quality is that he can convince people to confuse truth with fiction.
Hillary will lower herself if she runs on the ticket. She is the swan and should not link up with a toad.

So, Carter thinks he is that important, and Obama and the other SD (Stupid Delegates), were just waiting for him. Puh-Lease.

4:12:54 – Obama a weak candidate? Yet the STRONG, TOUGH, EXPERIENCED candidate couldn’t beat him. Says a lot about her, doesn’t it?

i guess you just tuned into this campaign then…. because i swear that statment should be flipped around the other way.
anyway, i do wonder what carter is doing… i think he may be losing his mind…
why announce that you are endorsing before you endorse officially and basically endorse by saying, when i endorse she will have to stop running
its like… hmmm whos he going to endorse
but maybe he will endorse himself?

Operation CHAOS has failed.
All you Reps faking it as Dems, the politics of division will not work this time in this election, year or time.
The reals issues will be debated and discussed. Good Luck with McCain!

SAD DAY FOR AMERICA!
THE BEST CANDIDATE HAS TO YIELD TO AN OPPORTUNISTIC UPSTART WHO HAS NEITHER INTEGRITY NOR PATRIOTISM TO BE A LEADER OF AMERICA.
WAIT UNTIL HIS COCKINESS OFFENDS THE LEADERS OF OTHER NATIONS THEN HOPE ALL THE CARTERLIKES CAN REPAIR THE FURTHER DAMABE DONE TO AN ALREADY HATED AMERICA IN THE WORLD.

We do not need Obama to be the Carter second term. It is going to be disaster for the USA. Carter is probably the worst president in the last 50 years (arguably tied with GWB). Period.
I am a Clinton supporter and I approve this message.

Cribruler,
Dear Hillary supporter, do not be a SORE LOSER….
It is finally over, and it’s time for you to take a long rest, just like Hillary and her “has been” husband Billy Bob…
Ha, ha, ha, ha!

Which Presidential term would I rather have, Carter or Clinton?
Duh, Clinton anyday, anytime, anyhwere!!

Go Obama, we are so proud of you and praying for you to lead all people.
God bless you richly, young man!

Mr Peanut doesn’t carry a lot of weight in politics these days, anyway.

Operation Chaos may appear to be a ploy from Limbaugh or the Repubs, but what makes you think it is not the rest of the Democratic Party–the other half you so easily dismiss.
Now, try to win against McCain. You have until November, and you are going to need a lot of help, that sadly, you are not going to get. The General Election is not based on caucuses. It is based on all the voters, including the ones in Michigan and Florida who were dismissed by Obama. We will not forget or forgive.

It is a sad day for America. We seem to have a lot of them.

I was a clinton supporter. I will move on. I will vote for McCain (sigh)

Carter is nuts and the worst president in US history endorses his would-be follower.
A nut endorses another. Birds of the same feather flocks together. Shut up! Carter is such an impotent person that he should get out of politics and go back to farm.

Let’s move on and turn tables.
Let’s vote for the better man; McCain.
Yes, president McCain after the undemocratic Democratic Party shows their ugly biases and fabrications and their will against the people for their small party.
A reform only possible after a landslide loss of the undemocratic Democratic Party. We want a new party.
McCain 08; Nobama

I don’t want to vote for Communist party = Democratic party.
Sen McCain-08

Obama awarded 59 delegate when not a single person voted for him. More than most states. Yeah, McCain will be President unless there is a sane vote at the Convention

Congratulations to Senator Obama! What a historic day! Also, congratulations to Senator Clinton who ran an excellent campaign. President Carter is a highly respected leader and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, congratulations to Obama for getting President Carter’s superdelegate vote.

For a man who ‘gave away’ the Panama Canal, Jimmy Carter should keep quiet about any other politicians short comings. I’m an Independent and have watched disturbed in the last few years, to the fact that Communist China has heavily invested in this sea passage that joins the two oceans. Ferdinand de Lesseps built this marvel and now has become a security risk to America. Carter Ultra Liberal disguised as a Democrat should stay in the shadows, and not demonize Hillary Clinton on anybody else about any issue.
Nor should the Bush Administration, who have tried to sell port infrastructure, interstate highways and airlines to foreign governments and financial speculators. Even today as Obama and McCain enter the final race, both are liable to sell cheap labor in the form of AMNESTY. Hopefully both potential candidates will care about the legal citizens of the country and not be another puppet to big business. American taxpayers cannot afford to subsidies the world anymore. Our military is stretched thin, trying to nation build for Bush and police the world. I want my taxes to support the border wall, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to police our fence, instead of us funding a Israeli Palestinian wall.
