Clinton Supporters Protest Outside Obama Finance Meeting in DC
ABC News’ Jennifer Parker Reports: Less than 20 people, mostly women, holding "Free Hillary" and "NObama" signs, protested outside the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC Thursday night where Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., is expected to appear at a fundraising event for Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.
They are part of a coalition of groups still angry that Clinton lost the primary.
"We don’t want Barack Obama to be president," said Will Bower, columnist for the Huffington Post website, and co-founder of the "Party Unity My Ass," and "Just Say NO DEAL" groups.
The newly-formed groups are urging Clinton not to deal with
Obama and fight for the nomination at the Democratic Party convention in August.
"The DNC has pre-wired this election to put in an insider candidate and we need to stop it," Bower said, citing the Democratic National Party delegate system.
"He needs to worry about the women," argued Patricia Lengermann of Maryland, a member of
the "Just Say NO DEAL" coalition. "He never got a majority and she has 18 million voters," she said, "he should make a gesture to her to pay off her debt — half of it she spent herself," she said.
Lengermann said she’ll vote for presumptive Republican candidate Sen. John McCain in November if Obama is still the Democratic presidential candidate.
"We are still hoping for a miracle," she said, "I’ve never voted for a Republican in my life but I’m voting for McCain if Hillary isn’t on the ticket."

Omg, these women need to get over it and get a life. Why should Obama pay off her debt, why don’t these woman that are protesting do that. They care so much right. What a bunch of losers.

If Obama has had a meeting with her. She might have been giving a dose of his mind conditioning on a 1:1 basis.
Which hopefully being a strong woman she is immune to it.
Obama should never be president of this nation. Even pelosi said he has no experience and only ideas.
That should make the whole country scared. Pelosi to admit that he got this far. Only thing is his motivational and mind conditioning speeches are working.
Any way to stop it?

Wow these women need to READ the news. Obama has already asked his big donors to pay off her debt. And how the heck is Obama the INSIDER?!?!?! Obama is the new guy, the Clinton’s are the biggest Democrat brand the US has seen since the Kennedy’s. Please please please don’t wreck this chance we have to bring some change to America’s image!!

Less than 20 people. Less than 20 people! That doesn’t merit a mention. let alone an article. It’s less than the average size of a kids’ class. Hey media: it’s time to let the Hillary thing go. Get a new story line, find new material…please.

Less than 20 people is pretty sad. The DNC does however need to get a grip on it’s nominating process. Between the utter screw ups with Florida and Michigan, and the whole ‘super delegate’ (elitist) component, the party comes off looking as if they can’t organize a one car parade. Throw in the historic pandering and divisiveness of identity politics and of course this is a mess. It really does feel as if Obama was ‘selected’ not elected.

OMG! Get over it u stupid women!u need to support Obama since he is now the Nominee now. Hillary is supporting Obama so get over it. Wow what a bunch of losers. If they plan to support McCain then they were not true Hillary fans or democrats, they were only republicans in deguise. Obama will win the General Election so it doesnt matter anyways what they think!

Why are you reporting about 20 bitter people outside protesting?
It isn’t like it was 2000 people or something.
Funny how the Hillary supporter Ed Rendell said “get over it” today.

These people were never with Hillary.
John McCain basically told Lilly Ledbetter that she should suck eggs.
Some background: Lilly Ledbetter was hired for half the pay of her equally qualified male coworkers. She filed suit — and won — when someone slipped a list of everyone’s pay in her mail box.
The GOP court overturned 20 years of precedent when they ruled that she had to file her sex discrimination case within 180 days of being hired — even though this was literally impossible as she could not possibly know her coworkers salary.
The Democrats in Congress, representing the hard working middle class as always, tried to correct the courts erroneous decision with the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.
The Republicans and John Mc Villain voted against the Ledbetter act.
Note that this act restored the interpretation of the law to the interpretation that the courts have applied for 20 years.
NO WOMAN WHO ACTUALLY SUPPORTED HILLARY COULD EVER VOTE FOR JOHN Mc VILLAIN!

Humm, I wonder how many of these women are Republican operatives! There is among some sentiment to vote for McCain; let me suggest you consider up to three new Supreme Court justices, John’s history of non support for woman’s issues and the treatment of both wives. Bottom line choices, do not vote for President or hold you nose and vote for Obama—I suggest it will be worth your while. Also what would Hillary prefer you do?

Barack Obama needs Hillary’s 18 million supporters more than Hillary needs him to help with her 10 million debt.

The Dems definitely need to reform their nominating process. It was a travesty, and I hope the current bizarre system will be fixed. But it’s time now to fix America which is struggling to bear up under the economic, health care, energy and foreign policy crises Bush’s GOP hath wrought. Nothing should distract Dems from throwing these bums out and cleaning up this ungodly mess.

D, kindly do some research before you blow your brain out!
This arrangement is beneficial to both sides. Majority of their own big donors have maxed out donating to their candidate, but are not to the other.Clintons’ financiers donate to Obama, Obamas donate to Clinton.Obama needs private money for his campaign. He flip-flop in public financing.Hillary’s debt is due to her desire to serve the country but could not due to her opponent’s questionable sources of financing. This is why there is the public financing with a max, so the candidate will not be beholden to the donors. Obama, originally was for it, but changed his position, so now he accepts private money. I wonder WHY?

We want a voice of experience, knowledge, and integrity. Obama is not it.

First of all Pelosi NEVER said Obama has no experience or only ideas. Is that all you have got, to totally make up a lie?
Second of all, you can always tell a conservative because there isn’t much that they aren’t scared of. Also they seem to be submissive personalities who tend to be subject to mind conditioning. You can tell by the way they so readily repeat anything they hear from the Right Wing Air Waves.

I guess what you need is a MILLION woman to show up with signs to get the message out—we do not want OBAMA. He is flawed. He stands for nothing but to say things that he knows people want to hear…he has promised money to every group imaginable—think about it every single group he talks to he promises them money and support—where in “heavens” name is all of this money coming from—put on your thinking caps. This man is a fast talking serpent that has no business being President of the US. I do not mind a color man being President, call on Colin Powell…he’s got my vote. It has nothing to do with race—he will not be able to run this country—he will run the country into the ground!

If only they had put more effort into electing a government that will assure their best interest, they would not have had GW for the last 7+ years. Perhaps they did vote for GW, and so they just want a continuation of his third term. So just stay bitter and live in the years of decades past where they will forever remaim subservient to men.

He has the most offensive air of superiority of anyone I have ever witnessed in politics or anywhere in public life. He is nothing but a chronic blamer, mind changing, flip flopper. He has absolutely no convictions at all that he will stand by 100 percent when the going gets tough. He will NEVER get my vote.

I was at this event, and there were mostly individuals from “Codepink”, an anti-war group and from “VoteBoth.com” who advocate for a joint Obama-Clinton ticket. There were approximately 3 (albeit large) anti-Obama signs, way less than 20, and not even close the majority of those protesting. Additionally, it was unclear that these individuals were “Clinton supporters”, about 3, were ever supporters of Clinton. This post is highly misleading.

Good Grief, 20 protesters (probably 15 of them were McCain supporters to begin with.
Why do you not bother to report on the thousands of protesters that try to get their voices heard wherever George Bush goes, but for 20 people who are anti Obama, you think this is something significant??
Posted by: Eileen From Maine | June 26, 2008, 8:07 pm 8:07 pm
How exactly should Hillary supporters “get over it?” Remember, the DNC silenced the voices of 600,000 voters in Michigan, stole delegates from Hillary, and broke the very charter of the Democratic Party under the fair reflection clause. “Uncommitted” is a presidential preference under the DNC charter. It is a violation of the rules to assign the uncommitted votes to any candidate. The DNC cooked this entire thing up in the equivalent of a smoke filled room – an environmentally friendly office building in DC. Halving the delegates from Florida, another debacle, is as outrageous an act as possible. On the positive side, Hillary is not out of the race. Her campaign is suspended which means she retains her delegates, and you better believe she will be at the convention. You know who else is going to be there? All one hundred and forty undeclared super delegates who have not endorsed anyone, or refuse to endorse Obama. Obama supporters must understand that Hillary supporters, or a large percentage of them will never vote for their fake candidate. Unity? HA HA HA

I do not think Obama can help with Hillary’s debt even if he wants to. He has peaked awhile back already and is on a downward spiral from here. The Buyer’s remorse is setting in as people begin to find out more and more about him. I believe the Hillary supporters are just being true to themselves, and rightly so, that they will not vote for someone that is so inexperienced, flip flops hourly and has so many questionable ties… these all point to Obama’s detrimental character flaws. Obama will turn out to be the biggest disappointment for the DNC.

I guarantee you that there are more than 20 Democrats vowing to vote McCain. ;)
McCain had a group conference call with roughly 11,000 former Clinton supporters (in case you’ve never participated in a conference call, the key person speaks and everyone else just listens from their end).
This is a big problem for Obama! Even if 10% of Clinton supporters either stay home and not vote, or vote for McCain, it can really damage Obama. Polls show 20%-40% doing either, depending on the state the polling was conducted.

Sorry Erin, there are a lot of reasons why we won’t support Obama.
#1 – Lack of experience, good judgment, and common sense. He’s waist-deep in Chicago politics and he hasn’t had any real accomplishments to prepare him for the presidency.
#2 – Amount of cheating in the caucuses. If Hillary wins a state’s primary by 3%, then Obama wins the same state’s caucus by 30%, you have to question how fair his delegate lead is. He paid one of my friends, along with a busload of other college students, to go caucus in Iowa, even though they weren’t even from that state. In Texas, it was reported he got 19 delegates at one precinct when he only got 4. This goes on and on, but the Obots and MSM turned a blind eye to it. If it’d been Hillary doing any of this, she would’ve been crucified.

Right, it wasn’t 20 people protesting Obama; it was 20 people protesting the Iraq War. There were 3 vocal individuals, 10 maximum out of 40 at the so-called rally of Clinton supporters. The majority of the the crowd were for a joint Obama-Clinton ticket, hardly a PUMA group. Is a debate occurring about a “protest” that never happened?

Poor Mrs. Clinton won’t be able to recover the money by renting out the Lincoln bedroom. She could get it back by applying her expertise in cattle futures trading, a skill she claimed to have learned by reading the Wall Street Journal. Last time, she turned $1000 into $100,000 in two days. Furthermore, she was able to “lend” her campaign over $10 million. I don’t think the Obamas, whom she called elitist, could write a check of that size.

2. Code pink (an anti-war group)

DEMOCRATS MUST BE THE MOST MISERBLE,CONFUSED BUNCH OF PEOPLE ON THE PLANET!!
THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY WANT,ie…
1. Libs say NO to drilling–but yet want to drive their SUVs and utilize their yachts, boats, jetskis, and be able to pop down to the organic market and have the food readily availble.
2. Libs protest our military and our constitution–yet they want to be safe, and their children safe. Scream foul if their privacy is invaded.
3. Libs hate America being prosperous, yet they want their designer clothes, 4 star restuarants, private schools.
4. Libs want Socialism and everyone to be equal, do you think they are ready to give up their monies to you? NOT!
5. Libs want women to have rights to abortions, yet they condemn anyone who doesn’t have children or try to adopt a child.
6. Libs do not think American have the right to own guns, yet they think they’re bodyguards and security should be able to own guns.
WHAT IT COMES DOWN TO IS LIBERALS SAY ONE THING TO GET ELECTED, TO BE COOL OR JUST TO GET ATTENTION, WHEN REALLY IF IT COME DOWN TO COMPROMISING THEIR COMFORT OR SAFETY, AND THEM HAVING TO SUFFER, THEY WOULD CHANGE TO CONSERVATIVE IN A MINUTE.
BARACK OBAMA IS ONE OF THESE PEOPLE.

I’m from Canada and love my neighbors, but you Americans need to smarten up! The world is in crisis on every level, and we have stories on 20 wackos with placards!
You HAVE to get Bush and the Repubs out before it’s World War 3…ask anybody, living anywhere but America and Israel, we all see whats happening. Bush is a war monger…If McCain gets in…It’ll be too late then…no place to protest then, we’ll all be fried.
I see comments about Obama and the donor issue, please bear with me,
The thing is…
Obamas doners, online doners, most are struggling…they come up w/ donations for Obama because they see it as an investment in THEIR FUTURE…
So, they are willing to skip a meal out, or take a bus instead of drive in order to donate to Obama.
But to sacrifice themselves and their families for the debt of a Woman who has more money than any of us will EVER see, well, it ain’t happening…
Nothing personal, but the kids want a new pair of sandals.
Obama knows that. Look at the number of donors he has…a million and a half or so. Think they all have extra cash, just hanging around, in THIS economy? Dream on…It would be insulting for Obama to ask the POOR to give to the RICH, and mark Penn, a lobbyist to boot! I don’t think it melds with Obamas personal beliefs. It certainly doesn’t with mine.
Any reasonable person can understand that, I beleive.

She had to ask Obama to help her retire her debt. If only 10 million of her 18 million supporters would send 2 dollars she could pretty much retire her debt and $3 all of it plus she would have extra. I don’t believe that all of her 18 million supporters gave the max ($2300.00) or she would have raise $41,400,000,000.00 and probably won. I don’t get it First it says Obama should retire her debt but if she takes the debt she is not independent. She should not have let herself get into debt.

Funny how in a year Democrats are supposed to have a landslide victory, Obama is in statistical dead heat with John McCain. They’re perfectly tied 45-45 in a new Gallup poll.
Give the GOP time to highlight:
1) His ultra-liberal voting record
2) His lavish and wasteful spending
3) His inexperience and poor judgment
4) His connections to Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko, Wright, Meeks, etc.
5) His elitism and being out-of-touch with mainstream voters.
Johnny Mac wins the presidency!

Obama Supporters – Doesn’t it suck to know Obama’s delegate “lead” came from caucuses where cheating was rampant, and in states sure to go red in November?
How does it feel that Hillary Clinton won the big states and the swing states and had a broader coalition to build on – blue collar workers, Jews, Latinos, GLBT community, the elderly?
How does it feel to know she was the stronger candidate in a match-up against John McCain, and Obama is statistically tied to him?
How does it feel to know he was pushed through, despite being the weaker and less desirable candidate?

Hey Erin,
Check out the AOL straw poll.
The entire country is RED! ha ha ha
No re-vote, strip voters of their right and make them 1/2 a voter. Steal delegates earned by Hillary and gift them to Barack. Then gift him another 59 that he did not earn. Yup! What a party. What a country. What a disaster the DNC is. Barack was “selected” not “elected” and if he was so comfortable that he’s the nominee than why are him and Howard Dean trying to get Hillary’s name off the Roll Call ballot? Never, ever has that been done. Never.

Traine, you’re so funny! The Supreme Court can only overturn Roe vs. Wade with an extremely complacent Congress.
Roe vs. Wade was enacted in 1973 and has been around for 35 years, 25 of those years controlled by the GOP.
John McCain is only trying to appeal to his conservative base who views him as Republican By Name Only – it’s never going to happen.
John McCain has said himself that women would just go back to using coat hangers to self-abort, which is dangerous for the woman, and it’d be a grave mistake. (Yes, this was in 1999, before his flip flop to appeal to conservatives.)

Erin – No, Hillary was the candidate who received more votes than any other candidate in primary history
How did they even count the people at caucuses who turned out for Obama? Dead people, pets, and people from other states were voting for him in those caucuses, LOL.
Google “dead people” and “pets” voting for Obama – especially in Louisiana.
Caucuses gave Obama a lot of his delegates and popular vote; we see how legitimate his lead is!
The weaker candidate was ushered in. Now the DNC has to deal with the fact he and John McCain are neck-to-neck and there are no guarantees; this was supposed to be an easy year for the Democrats.
I’m heading to the movies now – best of luck to your candidate in November!

Erin, didn’t John Kerry have a soaring, double digit lead over George Bush around this time in 2004? How quickly things can change.
The most recent Rasmussen poll shows John McCain with a +1.0 lead in Ohio.
In Pennsylvania, Obama has a +4.0 lead, practically within the 3 pt. margin of error.
+6.0 pts. for Obama in Michigan; not even a double digit lead.
Conventional wisdom says Obama should be at least 20 pts. ahead of John McCain – terrible economy, unpopular war, yet he’s faltering in the polls.
Things will only get worse after August. The GOP is laying low now because it’s summer and people are out in the sun, planning picnics, etc., not glued to the TV. They can attack Obama without the same restraints Hillary Clinton had to use. There’s a lot of material to use, too; Obama has a lot to worry about. :)

She’s only doing this “unity” charade for her future political career and personal image.
Could you imagine what Obama supporters and pundits would say if she got on TV and said, “PUMA! I encourage the 18 million supporters who voted for me to vote against Obama, who is unqualified and lacks the judgment needed to be president.”

Of course polls change day to day, but why is it that in a time a Democratic candidate should be soaring with a double digit lead over a candidate in an unpopular party, that he’s statistically tied in national polls and leading by a few meager points the swing states?
Yes, things change all the time, but Hillary would’ve been the safer candidate given her larger poll lead and her wide coalition to build on in the General Election.
This election is going to be close; I’m excited to see how it unfolds over the next 4 months. A lot of twists and turns and no guarantees. May the best candidate win! :)

Pumas,
if you have any dream of seeing Hillary in white house, this time you should support for Obama.
This is simple logic.
Let’s say,
If Obama lose this time thanks to you, the other 18 million people who voted for Obama will never vote for her in any future…
In contrast, if he is elected and people find him really inexperieced, Hillary can come back in 2012, and all the DEM will vote for her. Or, if he can make a great president and can serve 2 terms, still Hillary can come back in 2016 (she will be only 68 years old) and she can have all the support.
Life is a long shot… in fact, Hillary can enjoy long prominent political life.
So don’t ruin her future.
Please learn from your Hillary.
She knows politics and she can wait.

I was a supporter of Clinton during the DEM primaries and remember the disgust of other supporters over the comments made by Obama backers not only about us but Senator Clinton and vows to take the high road.
Now, I find it equally disgusting and totally hypocritical that clinton supporters are now undertaking the nasty attacks that they previously rejected.
The crap I see on clinton support sites and forums nowadays since Clinton dropped out is disgraceful.

This demands some closure. Janice Okubo, Director of Communications of the State of Hawaii Department of Health, “At this time there are no circumstances in which the State of Hawaii Department of Health would issue a birth certification or certification of live birth only electronically.” And, she added, “In the State of Hawaii all certified copies of certificates of live birth have the embossed seal and registrar signature on the back of the document.”
The birth certificate that Obama has on his “Fight the Smears” Website does not match what birth certificates are supposed to look like. It is missing the embossed official seal and authoritative signature and the certificate number referencing the birth year has been blacked out, making it untraceable. Why would you want to make it untraceable? If anything you would want clarity, easy to prove, arms length, no hidden agendas. It is hard to imagine the embossed seal and signature being of such light pressure which has been suggested that they would become completely invisible as compared to other birth certificates which show them clearly. An inked date of June 6, 2007, in reverse, does come through enough to see on the photoshop copy. Janice Okubo confirmation that the presumptive birth certificate is lacking the required stamps makes it all the more imperative for Obama to release the original paper certification, the valid kind, and not an easy-to-photoshop electronic facsimile thereof.
The mainstream media has automatically accepted as valid the image that appears on the Obama campaign’s “Fight the Smears” website makes it clear that many have been unwilling, now and in the past, to demand proof of an authentic document. So Mr. OBAMA clear all of this up quickly—days, weeks and months have gone by and all that has been provided to the public is the photoshop document which does not appear to be genuine. Why indeed would you not want to clean this up? Why put something on your website to clear up smears when it is not an official document?

cloud123, this isn’t just about Hillary Clinton not being president. It’s not a case of “If Hillary isn’t the chief, we’re going to burn the whole village down.”
Believe it or not, I once supported Obama over Hillary Clinton. Last summer, I liked his fresh, clean image and thought he’d be good for America. I then watched the debates in the fall and was won over by Hillary. She seemed best prepared of all of the runners (Edwards, Obama, Kucinich, etc.) to lead on Day 1. She had a great understanding of the problems the nation and our next president faced, and seemed like the best person to solve those crises.
I voted her in OH’s primary election. After that, more about Obama came out – his kooky pastor, his connections with Rezko and Ayers, and it made me realize in late March he had just started getting vetted. It’s obvious he’s not the atypical politician he presented himself to be; he’s waist-deep in Chicago politics and associated with too many radicals and unsavory people. He’s not the fresh, clean politician I once believed him to be.
I put our nation’s welfare above a political party and feel I can trust John McCain better than Barack Obama. I’ll sleep better at night with John McCain in office.

Georgia,
JOHN McCAIN WENT TO THE NAVAL ACADEMY. TOO BAD HE FAILED TO LEARN THE BASICS OF WARFARE!
A good commander knows to select the battlefield where you have the advantages.
Where do we have the advantages? A field or dessert where our high tech, well trained army can identify the enemy and destroy them.
Where do our enemies have their maximum advantage? Urban warfare, where you can’t identify the enemy from civilians.
Where does John McCain take us? Into a civil war. Into urban warfare.
John McCain. An embarrassment to the Navy!

The interesting thing about this report is that it’s virtually impossible to get coverage for a BIG anti-war demonstration or back in 2000 an anti-Bush demonstration (reporters were told NOT to report that there were as many demonstrators at the swearing in parade as there were supporters but you had to check the UK papers to find that out!). Then 20 bitter people who probably don’t keep up with the news anyway gets an article. There’s something wrong with that . . . could it be more dumbing down of America. Whatever. The argument that this contest was somehow unfair justifies such protests is bull in my opinion. Last I checked, both candidates agreed to the rules. If they were “unfair,” why take part at all.

If you want further proof Obama was SELECTED, not ELECTED, the DNC convention is always held at the end of July. In 2007, the DNC broke tradition and decided to move it to the end of August. Guess what day Obama is going to be giving his acceptance speech? The anniversary of MLK Jr.’s “I have a dream” speech. Excuse me while I puke – he’s nothing close to MLK Jr.
It was also held in Denver because Howard Dean said it’d be a new potential for the Democrats. Only Obama had potential there, none of the other candidates. How did Dean know the winner in advance?

Considering where McCain and Obama stand on the issues:
Obama – pro womens rights, McCain against.
Obama – sound economic plan, McCain, gimmics.
Obama – sound energy plan, McCain, drill offshore.
Obama – aligned with Hillary’s ideals, McCain, pro insurance company.
Obama – robust education support, McCain, well, no.
Obama – tax relief for the middle class, McCain, tax refunds to the wealthy.
Obama – innovation conference with college leaders, industrial leaders, and academics from both Democrats and Republicans. McCain, … no.
Obama is clearly proving to be a strong leader capable of leading America to a better future. McCain, … well, 4 more years of McBush Administration. More war. More money going to big corporations, More ruin for America.
The choice is clear. Elect Obama, and America recovers from the Bush catastrophe. Elect McCain, and continue with the same.

These people didn’t come to protest Hillary!
They were McCain supporters who thought it was a McCain rally! And wow! there were actually 20 who showed up for the rally!
Posted by: Larry | June 26, 2008, 10:03 pm 10:03 pm
Again, I attended this rally and did not see a single “PUMA” individual there. In fact, most of the attendees were either:
1. Supporting an Obama-Clinton unity ticket.
2. Protesting the War (Code Pink).
There were approximately 3 individuals with anti-Obama signs (not all female) in a “crowd” of approximately 50.
Although there may be “PUMA” online, there was NO evidence of PUMA and NO evidence of an organized anti-Obama movement at the Mayflower Hotel tonight.

Why is ABC trying to spin this otherwise?

But then, should we expect any better from people.who supported a Democratic candidate who praised her Republican opponent at the expense of her fellow Democrat. PUMA, indeed.

To all those who post about McCain’s military record in a negative way, know this:
1) You are loathsome trash.
2) Every time you do it, you convince one more veteran to vote for McCain.
3) You prove what we have known all along about obama and his supporters – that you are the lowest of the low.

Can any of you Obama people stop for just for a moment and realize that we felt just as strongly about our candidate as you say you feel about yours? But we feel even more strongly that democracy itself was pulverized by our elected government officials, the DNC, and mainstream media in this sad excuse for a democratic primary. The democratic party destroyed all the faith and trust that a majority of lifelong democrates had given to it wholeheartedly over many, many years. From the beginning of the primary, both our candidate, and we, her dedicated supporters were rejected as whining, lying, racist, and bitter, uneducated women. Both Obama and his rabid supporters kept this notion alive with loud and sneering voices throughout the campaign.
The facts remain true to this day, however, that we believed then, and still do believe that we supported the person who would be the best president for America in one of the most sad and trying times in our country. We need someone with a deep love for America, and the experience to help fix our many problems. We believe that’s Hillary Clinton!
All that being said, we never got to hear all the people’s voices speak though…Did we? Bad press, DNC, Nancy Pelosi threatening every other day to stop the primary in its tracks if Hillary didn’t drop out before the Democratic convention, and pundits and strong congressional leaders standing on the sidelines cheering Nancy on. Contrast with that the disenfranchisement of Florida and Michigan, turning people into half people rather than counting their full vote, and then giving to Obama delegates that Hillary rightfully won.
YES, we are angry and disillusioned with the democratic party, with Obama–because he does not have the qualifications to be president, and because he is connected to too many unsavory characters who could not prove good for America, and because he was selected for all of us–not elected.
We do not want him to be president for those reasons–not for any other.
I would also like to remind you all that he is only the ‘presumptive nominee’ until the Democratic Convention. Then after all the superdelegates other delegates have voted we will have a presidential nominee.
So, then we will use our good judgment and decide for ourselves who we will vote for in November. Neither the democratic party, nor the DNC, nor anyone else–not even Hillary–will do that for us!
We are many with one voice and we will be heard!

cordjones:
People know there are sincere Hillary supporters out there, but they also know there are Republican Trolls trying to fan the flames of the differences in the primary. Since McCain doesn’t have strong issues to stand on, the Repubs are trying to create and maintain a feud between the Democrats. They’ve done it before, and they are good at it.
Everyone gets one vote this fall. In the past, Republican Trolls used such tactics to intimidate the Democrats not to vote, or to question their vote. Just look at the Swift Boat lies generated against John Kerry as examples of their methods.
The vast majority of Democrats want you to vote on the issues, not on the trash flung at either candidate. That rhetoric is designed to smear the person, not the ideals.
I for one will be casting my vote in the booth alone, and will choose who I believe has the best vision for America. No one is going to tell me whom to vote for either. Not the McCain supporters, nor the Obama supporters … or for that matter, people who claim they speak for many.

Joshua,
HILLARY WON ZERRO DELEGATES IN MICHIGAN.
The state party decided to stick it to you and EVERY voter in Michigan. They broke the rules and, by the RULES, there was a penalty.
Then, out of kindness, the national DNC GAVE HILLARY some delegates and gave some to Barack.
The number of delegates for each state is specified by the rules, and by the rules ESTABLISHED BEFORE THE MICHIGAN PRIMARY, *any* state that held their primary before the authorized window were assigned ZERO delegates.
NOW, ASK JOHN McCAIN WHY HE SPIT ON LILLY LEDBETTER!

According to the reports I read there were 8 primaries where suspected voter fraud took place. In every instance, it seem to be in favor Of Obama but nothing was done. In one instance, 23,000 votes were given to him which he did not have. The democratic party portion of the primaries were fraudalent
So, former Democracts are moving out and moving on to McCain. We do not want a corrupt socialist as our nominee. Thanks for nothing DNC.

d I agree that these women are on the
extreme end but it’s not uncommon for candidate’s in this type of situation to
assist in paying off their opponent’s debt and in particular when that opponent has 18 million supporters who were behind them and that you need to win the Presidency. If you want Obama in then you want the majority of those Clinton supporters behind him and so far 1/4 aren’t and that could potentially cost your candidate the election. So why those women may need to “get over it” , I think you need to heed that same advice and let the process proceed as it normally does and promote the idea of a unified party and let go of the Clinton bashing. It’s no more productive nor mature then the women of whom you speak.

Facts are facts. Obama won the Democratic primary, just as Hillary was hoping to do.
That doesn’t make him Lincoln or Martin Luther King. But he is a man who always tries to find common ground.
For example, the speech that Dobson found so objectionable (Why I don’t know, isn’t Leviticus still part of scripture? Then why is there tape of Dobson quoting Leviticus?) two years ago, Barack said we cannot separate our moral sense from the law, but also that the law has to respect the fact that there are many faiths in this country.
For example, Barack acknowledges a right to bear arms while at the same time says what any thinking individual should acknowledge — there is no absolute 2nd amendment right. If there *was* an absolute 2nd amendment right, you would have the right to carry a live grenade in public.

The term Mulatto was dropped as a racial classification in 1920. Its derived from the Spanish word for ‘hybrid’, and is not the racial slur you are trying to float.
Obama is trying to improve the American life, trying to undo the disaster unleashed by the Karl Rove / Richard Cheney / George Bush exercise in corporate greed.

GET OVER IT!!! What is the matter with the people of this nation. What if the shoe were on the other foot. What if Obama had the popular vote? What if Obama were within 150 delegates? Would he take it to Convention? Would he have supported Clinton before the Convention votes were in. What if the advantage to winning MI and FL were Obama’s and he had to take votes as 1/2 and give Clinton 4 of his delegates; and undecided votes went to Clinton?
I don’t think so. Obama is a COWARD! He doesn’t even want to confront McCain in a debate. Some leader! The flip-flop king of the Senate. You Obama supporters are amazing. If all of the above had happened to Obama, you’d all be calling it a RACIST election process. Cowards, the whole lot of you. “If my heart is made of gold, what will you give me for it”:
a vote for the oldest candidate, who couldn’t raise his hands high enough because of the injuries suffered while serving in Vietnam, spending 1966 days in captivity, whose wife’s Operation Smile spread across from Bangladesh to Vietnam or a vote younger candidate, in a designer’s suit, spending 7300 days as a member of a black separatist church, along with his slightly vengeful wife, worshipping Wright?

I’m trying to remember exactly what year it was that McCain graduated 894th out of 899 in his college class.
All I can remember is that it was the first year the Ford Edsel came out.
Anybody know the year?

Really hilarious to see the media pundits now saying all the kind things about Hillary … Hilarious to hear them declaring her a leader and deserving a Cabinet position?
You know what – we the Hillary supporters DONT NEED you telling us what Hillary was about.
Hillary would have made an excellent President …. She WAS AND IS THE BEST OF THE 3 CANDIDATES …
Now you go choose between the 2 below par candidates … I choose MCCAIN ..
and if Obama wins, gear up for the slide downhill …
And all you Obamamaniacs, the media and the Dumbocrats, remember it was YOU DUMMIES that voted for him.
NOTHING WILL MAKE ME VOTE OBAMA IN NOVEMBER … !!!

Once again the Hillary supporters who claim they will vote for John McCain still haven’t admitted to supporting any of McCain’s policies. They know that McCain’s presidency would be a 3rd term of George W. Bush.
Even if you don’t like Obama personally, his policies are basically the same as Clinton’s. So to vote for McCain goes against a true Democrats core beliefs.

WOW, THE HILLARY SORE LOSERS ARE OUT TONIGHT!
Why don’t you people get over it? I mean Hillary has…
I mean just tonight as we have all seen, she is now begging for money from Obama supporters to pay off her bad debts.
So as an Obama supporter what did I do? I went to Obama’s site and contributed $50 tonight. With a note in the comment box that said “if you give one penny to that lying Clinton, then I want my 50 bucks back!”
Barack doesn’t need her to win against this old fool McBush! Plus all the polls already show, that after just 3 weeks 54% of former Hillary supporters now support Obama!
So much for the 18 million supporters the ex-Clintonites on this blog keep telling us she still has in her pocket!
She has plenty of money that her and Bill got from the Chinese and the Arabs when they thought she had a “lock” on the seat of power. So let her pay off her own debt out of that 100 million they have or get the Chinese-Arabs to do it!
After tomorrows “Unity Deal” just get rid of that “sniper fire liar” and let’s move on to victory in a landslide in November!!!

Democracy requires an intelligent electorate. Many of us can see that we Americans have been “dummied down” over the years by the media (owned by big business).
Once only poor republicans voted against their own interest, now we have these PUMAs. Some of us have gotten so caught up in the fray that we went right past the prize into the twilight zone. And what makes me cringe is LeeLee07 – the woman foolish enough to admit she’d would rather have the fantasy of a candidate who has already lost than a man who has already demonstrated his concern for the marginalized people of America. She does not seem to have her eyes on the prize. Didn’t anyone notice HRC was nuts most of the time during the democratic nomination; crying, fussing, a whole emotional rollercoaster? – if you had that for a president you’d wake up real quick.
Step back a moment – the rest of the world is cringing, watching bubble-headed idiots debate personality when the world is literally burning down around us on our watch.
Look – it’s the economy, the war, your health and the health of your world. Please try to stay on the subject, PUMA-ists And Republicans. (There’s a new one for you, PURA (PUMA-ists And Republicans Unite – you belong together, somewhere where you can’t do anyone any harm).

6. Libs do not think American have the right to own guns, yet they think they’re bodyguards and security should be able to own guns.

Supporters are out there doing the work for the party, volunteering for the party, donating to the party.
Notice the DNC coffers are empty?
That is because Hillary’s supporters are just that now, supporters of Hillary only.
obambi fans are just that “fans”, they are only interested in obambi, not the party! That is o.k. we are supporting the Republicans and/or McCain!

“He needs to worry about the women,” argued Patricia Lengermann of Maryland, a member of the “Just Say NO DEAL” coalition. “He never got a majority and she has 18 million voters,” she said, “he should make a gesture to her to pay off her debt — half of it she spent herself,” she said.
——————-
I agree wholeheartedly; he needs to make some sort of gesture at her. Okay, now the point is moot because he donated his own money to her. Her campaign, though, strikes me as someone who bought a subprime loan and now wants to be bailed out.

It seems anytime the media says “Clinton” the hoopla gets stirred up again over how Obama “stole” the presidential nomination and how a percentage of the 18 million people who voted for Clinton wil vote for McCain.
Tomorrow and the upcoming months Hillary Clinton will be out in full force for Obama. Hillary Clinton is not some kind of puppet master who can control the thoughts and actions of 18 million people.
As many of the polls indicate such as: Quinnipiac, Newsweek, NBC/WSJ, Washington Post/ABC and CBS/Bloomberg Obama is leading…He’s even leading in many of the state polls such as Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan and Colorado.
So whoever keeps throwing out this lame AOL strwa poll, needs to refer to the majority of news sources. Obama is kicking the snot out of McCain right now!!

The moderate Democratic Party was flushed down the drain when the DNC and other VIP operatives decided to give the election to Obama when he did not have the votes of the people. In other words, he was selected. Now these same stupid DNC people want rational and intelligent voters to support the corrupt socialist, Barack Obama. I would rather support a rattle snake. I wanted the Lakers to win the NBA finals. They have more experience, and have paid their dues. Any rational person can see that. But the Celtics won, so they must have cheated, gamed the system, were selected by the powers that be. Because the Lakers are obviously superior to the Celtics in every way, they can’t be responsible for losing. Those inexperienced, arrogant Celtics used back-room shenanigans to win. Nothing is the fault of the Lakers. Anyone who isn’t blind can see they have all the qualifications and experience, while the Celtics simply please whatever crowd is watching. Even though they were playing by the same rules, the Celtics cheated and the Lakers were victimized.

Matt W
Obama is very much the insider….His campaign staff is filled with Dean’s and Daschles people and Kennedy’s people…His policy people are the low level Clinton advisers (like Bush picked up the low level Bush 1 advisers)
Kerry mentored him as early as 2000…His main claim to fame in the IL State Senate was his ability to get other legislators to put his name on bills to build his resume (like Bush did as governor of Texas)…His main claim to fame in the US Senate was as a fundraiser…who contributed lots more than Clinton to the Superdelegates in advance of his run for President.
Obama’s coalition is filled with failed Democrats who believe they can control the rookie. One reason that Obama’s policies are all over the place is that they are constantly being changed and refined by the “also rans” and “insiders” who control him.
In short Obama is more Bush than McCain. And Democrats have fallen in line behind the “money man” as Republicans did in 2000 and 2004.

The DNC, Pelosi, and the Obama’s patronizing and phony praise of Hillary Clinton are nothing more than insincere steps to get some of Hillary’s 18 million voters to vote for Barrack. These people are so pitiful. Maybe some of Hillary’s supporters will fall for it, but most of us see it as adding insult to injury, and we are voting for Senator John McCain in November.

–Davis, before you call anyone else a liar check out the 48,800,000 OBAMA LIES as listed by Yahoo Search.
I have a list of 14 nation wide polls that are keeping up with the election.
I do know that you are an Obama supporter so I understand where you are coming from. Obama is not a god, just a corrupt politician.
Posted by: Henry | June 27, 2008, 2:34 am 2:34 am
Obama has been “selected” by the flawed primary system…according to the rules which any other candidate would be using to contest the results Hillary should take this to the convention….Dean, Pelosi, and other party insiders (most with vested interests in Obama) have been trying to bend the rules and shut down the process prior to the convention.
So if Hillary supporters decide to “get over it” don’t be surprised if they choose to exercise their right to vote McCain as not only a protest, but as a confirmation of their belief that he would make a better president.

I’m at GW majoring in international studies. I was always a Clinton supporter and had to keep quiet about it bc most people were for Obama.
However for some reason a lot of them are starting to have doubts. I dont’ think it’s my wishful thinking bc I was just getting used to having him as the nominee since it didn’t seem like there was any choice.
It’s like they are suddenly starting to wake up. I did think the whole Obama campaign had a cult-like effect on people, especially young ones. Maybe there is something with this Kool Aid effect wearing off. Interesting.

Sorry to nitpick, but it is not “less than 20 people”, but “fewer than 20 people”.
If they can be counted as opposed to measured, then it is fewer, as in “Mom, why did you give me fewer cookies than you gave him?”
If it is a quantity — like how much milk in a glass — it is less than, as in, “Mom, why did you give me less milk than you gave her?”
It would just be nice to see those who write for our major media outlets get the grammar right when reporting and making their arguments.

I’m reading through all the postings here and have to say, I just cannot vote for Obama. I do not trust him.
Besides my family are all staunch Republicans but my my husband and I plus other relatives were actually going to vote for Hillary if she had been chosen. We trusted her most.
I’m just watching coverage of the Unity event in NH. It’s amazing what an icon Hillary has become. The crowds cheered far more enthusiastically for her. He looks like an accessory beside her on stage. All the people were pushing through to get to her and not to Obama. A few were asking him for his autograph and taking pictures, but the mobs of people who gravitating toward her. I mean, he is supposed to be the nominee?
He looked like a secret service agent checking the crowd for the Queen to come through.
She really has become like the Princess Diana of the United States. Republicans and Democrats admire and respect Hillary. I still think she will be our president and hope so. She is really inspiring.
But until then, I just won’t vote for Obama.

The crowd obviously loves HER. She is the one they want.
I kind of feel sorry for him.

I’m an historian and I would agree with others that Hillary Clinton is approaching the same level of status as Princess Diana.
Not that she lost (since she did have more votes and he is not yet the nominee), her “losing” has actually helped to raise her image to all. She has demonstrated grace and fortitude. The fervor of her supports is unprecedented.
She could possbily have even more admirers than Princess Di given the population and percentage of the US population who admire and love her. It’s no coincidence that Sir Elton John sang for both. He recognizes royal calibre when he sees it.
She has risen above just being president. It is an interesting phenomenon.

I feel sorry for Obama too. He seems so weak alongside Hillary. No wonder he didn’t want help from the Clintons.
I am beginning to have my doubts about him.

There was so much fraud at the Iowa caucuses. That is how Obama propelled himself forward. Do your research honey.

I do sense nervousness with Obama, his campaign and supporters. Just reading some of the writings of the Obama supporters, it demonstrates that they are worried.
Well, he was never able to lock in the nomination. The other thing is that his polls are really low considering how much people want to get rid of Bush.
So many Dems are going for McCain. I’ll likely be one of them. I will wait to see.
It is interesting to note that Kerry was leading in double digits in June yet he lost miserably. The country is not ready to take any risks right now.

I agree. Hillary has reached regal status. Not exactly Princess Di, because they were admired for different reasons. She is actually far more powerful.
Queen Hillary! Maybe we will CHANGE the system. Long live our queen!

Ok Richard so you say Obama won in Iowa because of fraud. Tell me how he won so many primaries. Was that fraud again.

It’s obvious that all of the Hillary supporters slamming Obama here are nothing more than paid Republican hacks working for George W McCain.
It’s also obvious that all of the Obama supporters slamming Hillary here are nothing more than paid Republican hacks working for George W McCain.
This childish nonsense isn’t fooling anybody. Everybody in America hates the GOP too much.
Looks like it’s going to be a DEMOCRATIC TSUNAMI of EPIC PROPORTIONS in November.

Nah, I won’t vote for Obama. I supported Hillary and am glad that she thinks Obama is the one. But I have my own mind and will not vote for an unqualified candidate. ☺

Im still scattering my hair trying to figure out what these ANGRY women really want. Hillary lost ,period! Get over it folks. The anger seems to be more than just anger at her lose. Hillary has put it behind her , why not these ANGRY women?
Were they voting for Hillary bc of her ideas or voting for Hilary as Hillary?
Wonders shall never end with ANGRY women.

I have no doubt that many Obama supporters would have been just as angry and felt just as cheated if the shoe were on the other foot. However, even though I supported him instead of her, I still would have voted for her
if she had become the Democratic nominee
because of what is at stake in this presidential election.
A lot of women who would rather vote for McCain than Obama need to realize that a vote for him would negate all the work and sacrifices that feminists have made on behalf of all women. He has proven numerous times that he does not have women’s interests at heart.

BHO and HRC signed the DNC 2008 Pledge. Note that a key commitment was to ensure that there was not unfairness due to money and campaigning in states with unapproved early primary dates. Obama outspent his opponents by 3:1 and 4:1, which was contrary to the intent of the Pledge. By DNC definition, Obama violated his pledge on not campaigning in Florida by holding a FL press conference, and running campaign ads in Florida. Hillary adhered to the DNC campaign provisions per DNC rules for FL or MI. The DNC seems to lack commonsense in applying penalties to Obama for his violations and in their lack of allowing voters in FL and MI to be heard in a timely manner.
2008 DNC Pledge Letter – “WHEREAS, Over a year ago, the DNC established a 2008 nominating calendar; WHEREAS, this calendar honors the racial, ethnic, economic and geographic diversity of our party and our country; WHEREAS, the DNC also honored the traditional role of retail politics early in the nominating process, to insure that money alone will not determine our presidential nominee; WHEREAS, it is the desire of Presidential campaigns, the DNC, the states and the American people to bring finality, predictability and common sense to the nominating calendar. THEREFORE, I ___, Democratic Candidate for President, pledge I shall not campaign or participate in any state which schedules a presidential election primary or caucus before Feb. 5, 2008, except for the states of Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire and South Carolina, as “campaigning” is defined by rules and regulations of the DNC.”

wilder5121, the only thing obvious is that the BHO supporters look like ostrichs with their heads in the sand to those of us with alternate views. There are real reasons and concerns shared by those who supported Hillary and now plan to vote for McCain. Look at the issues and the solutions, BHO is too liberal and unqualified today with little track record of success to help his own state or this nation so far. The country needs a new president, not someone looking for an OJT job, which are his selling points to his supporters – such as “no plan”, “won’t be ready day 1″, “need your help to get there”, etc. Actions and solutions, not promises. Deeds, not words.

Sally: add up how much Hillary spent vs. Obama. That 3 to 1 and 4 to 1 doesn’t add up. Yes, in some states Obama way outspent her but that is because she 1.) spend more in other states, 2.) decided to spend her money differently (consultants vs. ads) and 3.) wasn’t as efficient with her money.
Obama did outspend Hillary but by not a great margin, especially if you consider the name recognition she started with.
If you were talking about Obama out spending Richardson, for example, then why didn’t you criticize Hillary also?

These people are speaking for millions! Need only 30% of Hillary’s supporters vote NO to Obama, he is cooked!
Posted by: Tess | June 30, 2008, 1:37 pm 1:37 pm
This may have already been posted, but if so it should be repeated. The 54% of Hillary supporters that say they support Obama is not good news for Obama, since the percentage has gone down from the previous poll of 60%. Also the news that the amount of Hillary supporters that would now vote for McCain has gone up as well as those that would not vote at all. There is a tide flowing which explains why the DNC is now behind not having Hillary’s delegates represented in the convention.

Attention Democratic Party, This is the year you have finally distroyed yourselves. You could have regained some credibility, some respect, but noooo you push a nobody like BHO and disrespect a real candidate like Hillary Clinton. Hey I have a brother who is a plumber, why don’t you make him president. Fools that you are.
