What will Obama do?

We took a look at this issue on the World News Webcast.

Registering as an Independent is the best thing to do if Democrats can’t stomach the Obama ticket. Then we can vote our conscience, which if you think about it, is what we know we must do.
Independents will decide 2008.
Let the parties entertain us for the next six months. :-)

I have no idea what Obama will do. I know I will vote for Nader. Hopefully we will have a better choice in 2012.

Posted by: Tina from Florida | June 3, 2008, 5:14 pm 5:14 pm

Len for once I agree with you
if you are that angry at Obama winning register independent and vote your conscience.
I can’t imagine anyone who believed in what Hillary was saying could ever jump that far to McCain who is promising the opposite on every big issue… but all I as a fellow american would ask is for people to vote their conscience.
Vote on what is best for the safety and benefit of this country and her people.
Which candidate will help our country rise back up and bring the world back to support us…thus making us safer and more economically feasible in the new world market.
but always voters should vote their conscience informed by logic.

I am waiting for Hillary to come back in 2012. Will not vote this time unless she is on the ticket. period.

Posted by: Amy | June 3, 2008, 5:16 pm 5:16 pm

Who cares what Obama does? His choices for the last 20 years speak for themselve and have always made him unelectable. he is going to lose.
The Question is what does Hillary do? I hope that she becomes an independent and runs a John McCains Vp. She was always the candidae who worked across the aisle and had cross partisan appeal. She was always the candidate that won more swing states and brought more voters to the table.
After how the DNC, the obama campaign, and elected democratic officials have treated her, i hope she says goodbye.
Do not be Obama’s VP candidate. Let him lose. They will just blame you when this totally inappropriate radical candidate inevitably loses. Don’t let them.
McCain/Hillary’08. Hillary ’12.

giz if clinton ran as an independant she would lose… also… you need to register in january for that

Posted by: bhrandon | June 3, 2008, 5:23 pm 5:23 pm

All the spoiled little girls will vote for Mccain. All the real women will vote for Obama. His policies are closer to Hillary’s so if you are logical and not a spoiled brat you would vote for Obama. But it’s like my old boss said,”Common sense isn’t that common.”

Posted by: Joe | June 3, 2008, 5:24 pm 5:24 pm

19.5 away from the nomination!

Posted by: bhrandon | June 3, 2008, 5:25 pm 5:25 pm

I hope she doesn’t run as his VP. That might actually give him a chance at winning. Obama has said he looks to Michael Pfleger as his “moral compass.” He does not belong anywhere near the White House!

Posted by: Nancy | June 3, 2008, 5:26 pm 5:26 pm

About what polices are you kidding me?… Your just voting on gender that is stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Joe | June 3, 2008, 5:28 pm 5:28 pm

Well joe thanks for your sexist assessment. You are exactly why we will vote for McCain or write in Hillary.
Obama doesnt have a chance anyways. he is 16% behind where Dukakis was at this point and that’s before the attack dogs are let lose.
He is going to lose. Womren need to dereister as Democrats vote MC cain or write in Hillary and let the DNC know their number is up. There are lots of men out there who are disgusted with this undemocratic and unAmerican swindle of a nomination as well.
They are called the white working class, rural voters and middle America. They aren’t amused either.
NOBAMA!
McCain/Clinton’08

This just in:
Everything is not always about Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Posted by: Nobodys fool | June 3, 2008, 5:31 pm 5:31 pm

I think I wish Hillary didn’t have Bill
because it would make this all sooo much easier.
I think their would not be a hesitation about taking Hillary if she divorced that guy who was a good president kind of a lousy human being.
I think if she did not have Bill she would be a great VP.

Posted by: dl | June 3, 2008, 5:33 pm 5:33 pm

Thier is nothing I can say that isn’t more sexist than this crap that Hillary didn’t win so I’m voting for Mccain…
Vote policy not gender thats what I did her helthcare sucked gas tax sucked sniper fire sucked…….. Sorry thats how it went down.. It is illogical to vote for Mccain if you are a hillary supporter the only thing you could possably be voting on are emotions. go look in the mirror is you think I’m sexist…

Posted by: Joe | June 3, 2008, 5:33 pm 5:33 pm

Thing is s.b. most of us don’t think she is the better canidate and thats why she lost. Go hate some other men not me. I love my mom! And you are the one that is truly sexist

Posted by: Joe | June 3, 2008, 5:36 pm 5:36 pm

i urge hillary to run as an independent. she would win and put some hurt on the party that disrespected her and her husband.

Posted by: ron | June 3, 2008, 5:36 pm 5:36 pm

Joe, I read on a blog last night that Obama would make up for all the lost Hillary supporters by registering millions more in September. Why don’t you go outside now and start drumming up that support since you are not going to make any converts here.

Posted by: someone's mother | June 3, 2008, 5:38 pm 5:38 pm

Finally,
The monster will be beaten and locked up tonight!!!
Good for the Dems.
Go cry your heart out Hilry suckers!

Hillary supporters willing to vote McCain are immature and stubborn

Posted by: Vanessa | June 3, 2008, 5:40 pm 5:40 pm

People like ‘Katie’ are obama plants. They are not who they say they are. They are the same internet/blog operative.
Whenever someone says I’m a woman and blah blah blah… they aren’t and they are a plant…. Don’t believe any thing they say. real people don’t do that.

Posted by: s.b. | June 3, 2008, 5:40 pm 5:40 pm

What a discrace. Our party chooses style over substance. 20 years of questionable and discraceful associations. My party has been hijacked by the far left and we will get what we deserve in November. I’ve always been an proud Democrat but will never support BO in the general. The office of the presidency transends party and Obama is unworthy of the office.
Dems for McCain

Posted by: oldspice | June 3, 2008, 5:45 pm 5:45 pm

The title of the discussion is “Clinton supporters – What will Obama do? Apparently from the comments of his supporters he will call us names, mock us and degrade us.

Posted by: t moon | June 3, 2008, 5:46 pm 5:46 pm

HRC did right. She demanded the VP from Obama that Obama could not deliver since Obama has a lot of people to comfort. Well, actually, she does not really mean to be VP of Obama that humiliated her. She figured that Obama would reject her demand and make her supporter mad, and lose the GE in Nov. Then, Obama has no chance to come back in 2012. Therefore, 2012 is her year.
Also, who knows what will happen in the next 5 months. A lot of crazy things could happen.

Posted by: LookingFun | June 3, 2008, 5:49 pm 5:49 pm

“Kate” who’s really some blogger working for obama probably a man, just read the comments on this blog. And they are relatively tame. Nice subterfuge though. Too bad Clinton supporters are adults and aren’t easily bamboozled.

Posted by: s.b. | June 3, 2008, 5:49 pm 5:49 pm

The reason not all supers have walked for obama is out of respect for Hillary. They just want her to finish her race.

Posted by: Becky | June 3, 2008, 5:54 pm 5:54 pm

This thing don’t have spell check! But its a deal. didn’t know my english teacher was here… So are you Clinton supporters crying or drinking or both tonight?
You’ll be fine in a few weeks..
My mom suports Hillary she voted today for her….
but she’s voting Obama in the fall

Posted by: Joe | June 3, 2008, 5:54 pm 5:54 pm

You strong Hillary supporters who are still blogging really need to reach down deep in your pocket and help her out now. She has to have her debt paid off or she will be stuck with it. It is the least you can do.

Posted by: Becky | June 3, 2008, 5:55 pm 5:55 pm

delegate count down. when obama reaches the magic number it is time to go to the mccain website and sign up to support his campaign.

Posted by: sonia trevino | June 3, 2008, 5:58 pm 5:58 pm

Yea I’d be upset if Obama bails out Hillary with my money.. After she called me stupid a couple weeks back

Posted by: Joe | June 3, 2008, 5:59 pm 5:59 pm

I find it difficult to believe that after the way the obama campaign treated Hillary Clinton that she would even want to be a part of the obama ticket. I was very disappointed to read this.
obama will never get my vote even if Hillary is on his ticket. I will never vote for a person who has incited so much hate for Hillary and John McCain by the obama followers. Obama did this deliberately knowning that they would spew the hate, while he could stand in the background with his nose up in the air – as usual.
Never would I vote for a person who thinks its acceptable for a Catholic priest to spew such hate from a church pulpit about any woman. obama is a relative unknown with very mean and demeaning people in his background. obama encourages hate and racism and so far he has somehow succeeded in this. What I see as obama’s accomplishments is being a cult leader with a strong resemblance to Charles Manson.
And oh by the way – the above refrence is MINE – not encouraged by either Clinton or McCain – MINE
This is the feeling I have come to after reading the comments made by the obama followers.

Posted by: Lou | June 3, 2008, 6:00 pm 6:00 pm

Unless Hillary is on the ticket the DNC will not get a dime of my hard earned money.

Posted by: J | June 3, 2008, 6:01 pm 6:01 pm

HILARY AND HER 30 MILLION DEBT!
WHO WILL GET HER OUT??????
IT BETTER BE HER ARDENT SUPPORTERS, FOR SURE!

Posted by: Tina | June 3, 2008, 6:01 pm 6:01 pm

I said I was a women because another blogger said Hillary women supporters would not vote for Obama. I for one will. I’m a stay at home mother from Missouri. An active Hillary supporter and trust me there is no one more disappointed then I that she will not be the nominee but I’m a realist and McCain is no good.
I will always be a Hillary supporter and hope she runs in 2012 but right now our nation needs help and only a democratic can solve these problems.
Obama may or may not win the GE but he has my vote.

Posted by: Katie | June 3, 2008, 6:01 pm 6:01 pm

Hillary is not conceding. She’s going to the convention. Deal with it. BO hasn’t won anything. SDs mean diddley squat until AUGUST.
This all all for show to suppress the SD and Montana votes. They want people to stay home because BO is going to LOSE SD and Hillary is very close in Montana. They need to cut the votes down, so they put on this nice little victory show for us all…which is completely BOGUS because hasn’t won anything!

Posted by: Vickie | June 3, 2008, 6:01 pm 6:01 pm

No I love my mom.. She just realizes that Hillary isn’t going to win and if you truly feel that Hillary’s policies are what you want than obamas fit much better than Mccains. But alas my mom must be one of the smart ones.

HILLARY IS ASKING TO BE VP HAVENT YOU SEEN THE NEWS ?

Posted by: Vickie | June 3, 2008, 6:04 pm 6:04 pm

I live in Montana and I would very very suprised if hillary comes within 10 points here and none of this is to supress our votes. We are all pretty excited people actually care.. We don’t get very much attention up here.. That said I think people are generally over the Clintons up here. Bill was in the bar saturday though kinda cool.

I find it amusing that now all these pundits and politicians that talked poorly about Hillary all through this campaign are saying how much they respect her now. Hypocrites one and all.

Posted by: J | June 3, 2008, 6:19 pm 6:19 pm

Kate…sweetie:
I have been a registered Democrat since 1973. I have never cast a single vote for a republican. They REPULSE me. I have always voted a straight Democratic ticket and I am sick as sh** of you people calling me a republican or a racist just because I REFUSE to vote for BO now that I know what the man is. And just FYI:
I live in Illinois. I campaigned for BO when he ran for the Senate. I attended his rallies. I donated to his Senate campaign and I VOTED FOR HIM, so please take your accusation and shove them. OK? ENJOY your President McCain! You’re going to LOVE him!

Posted by: Vickie | June 3, 2008, 6:19 pm 6:19 pm

Kate,
Maybe us 30+ year democrats are sick and tired of the democrats nominating losers. This party has gone so far left it doesn’t represent what it once was.

Posted by: J | June 3, 2008, 6:24 pm 6:24 pm

THEN WHY VICKIE AND J
WHY WOULD YOU BE SUCH SORE LOSERS HILLARY LOST SHE RAN A BAD CAMPAIGN AND BILL WAS A THORN IN HER SIDE !
OBAMA WON HE IS THE NOMINNE

Posted by: Kate | June 3, 2008, 6:31 pm 6:31 pm

Yeah Vickie! That’ll tell her!
P.S. – Did you really vote Obama in Ill.? Yuck.

Posted by: Debra | June 3, 2008, 6:35 pm 6:35 pm

Am an Obama supporter and I think Obama cannot win without Hillary’s supporters but I still believe Obama should think wisely before choosing a Veepee. The only thing making him top Mccain in the Polls now is the independent vote. Is he going to lose it with Hillary on the ticket? If no, then I will suggest he goes for Hillary. That automatically will almost heal the party and by the time she starts campaigning, all these people saying they will still vote for Mccain can be won over. I will like one day to see a woman as the President of the U.S and to me even with the divisions amongst women, she still remains the most viable to be.

Posted by: vuzous | June 3, 2008, 6:38 pm 6:38 pm

THE PARTY OF EXCLUSION BEACUSE HILLARY LOST 35-19 ?
BECAUSE SHE RAN A BAD CAMPAIGN ?

Madge, I can see you put in Sirleaf Johnson. Sirleaf never won the Liberian elections. George Weah did. I know much about African politics. Obasanjo played the major role that ended with Sirleaf being President. Then I never okayed her but now I do. She brought stability eventhough she is really not doing anything.

Posted by: vuzous | June 3, 2008, 6:46 pm 6:46 pm

Kate,
Put a cork in it. It’s people like you that have hijacked the once decent democratic party.
I have lived through many elections and I must say Obama supporters take the prize for being the most hateful and vile. I am sure Obama is proud of you.

Posted by: J | June 3, 2008, 6:49 pm 6:49 pm

Debra:
YES, unfortunately I DID vote for BO and I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY regret it now. :( I also donated to his campaign and I want my money back!!!!
I now know who and what the man is. The Chicago machine in Illinois would NEVER allow the truth to come out about BO before he was elected. We heard NOTHING about his Nation of Islam connections. Nothing about Ayers, Rezko, Auchi, Said, Pfleger, racist rev. Wright or Farrakhan. It was all kept under wraps until this Primary. All I knew about him was what I heard on the news or from his web site. Never again.
It was a HUGE mistake and I admit it. YUCK, is right!

Posted by: Vickie | June 3, 2008, 6:50 pm 6:50 pm

J:
Kate is young. That’s why she supports BO. She doesn’t know any better. She’s been “hoodwinked” and “bamboozled” and doesn’t even know it.
I agree. I have never, in all my years of being involved in politics, been exposed to such mean, nasty, and vile people. They are the worst. THEY are the reason I ended up supporting Hillary!
I hope they enjoy their new President McCain!

Posted by: Vickie | June 3, 2008, 6:53 pm 6:53 pm

As the party is about to have a true presumptive nominee, I will now look at the nominee and determine if I can vote for that person. Although, I Democrat, I have always voted for the person I felt best could do the job. As a Virginian, we do register for a party and I have voted for ONE Republican (state level) in lifetime. Sen. McCain is a Republican but I feel he does have an aura of a President and may truly vote for him. At this time, I lean towards him much more than Sen. Obama.

Wes Clark floats Obama-Sebelius
Wes Clark stopped out in Texas yesterday to drop by a fundraiser Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius headlined for Michael Skelly, a Democrat running for congress in Texas.
Clark introduced Sebelius and, according to a regular correspondent and reliable source who was there, said:
“The London odds-makers say that Kathleen Sebelius is the odds-on favorite to be the next vice
president. I can tell you, she’d make a great vice presidential choice.”
He then introduced her as “The next vice president of the United States….”
Sebelius is typically considered for the slot only if Obama is the nominee.
A sign of the times from a Clinton loyalist.

Kate,
Re-read my post. There is a descriptive adjective before the term junior senator, the word ‘young’. Sen. Clinton is mature and can hardly be classified as inexperienced in politics like Hussein … a man who obviously either never attended the church he was a member of for the past twenty years, or did so with his ipod in his ears!

TO BE A GOOD DEMOCRAT OR TO BE A GOOD AMERICAN—John McCain is not the same as George Bush; in fact a few years ago he was going to leave the Republican party. The democrats will control the Congress so there is no need to worry about Roe V Wade or ultra conservative justices being appointed to the Supreme Court. Iraq-nobody will be able to have all troops out in 16 months; we will have a presence there just like we do in other foreign countries. We should be electing a President that will earn back the respect of the American people as well as world leaders; a leader who has demonstrated good judgment, honesty and integrity—.HILLARY 08 or McCain—Country first, then party.

Posted by: deja vu 08 | June 3, 2008, 9:28 pm 9:28 pm

What she said is completely true. He is totally inexperienced and certainly doesn’t come close to Clinton and Mccain in regards to that. Furthermore, Clinton supporters are voting for her and supporting her because of her massive amounts of experience. Why then would we willingly vote for Obama instead of Mccain? Eight years ago the American people were sold a president with no experience and look where that has gotten us. Apparently it is only the Clinton supporters that can see the reason the country is where it is at is not simply because Bush is a republican, but more so that he was not prepared for the job. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to put another inexperience president in place to try and clean up the mess from GW. That is why Mccain will win; that is why Hillary supporters cannot, in good conscious, vote for Obama; and that is why this country will have to endure republican values for another 4 years. But at least Mccain is more of a centrist than a right-winger (like Bush) or a liberal left-winger (like Obama).

Posted by: Andrea | June 3, 2008, 9:33 pm 9:33 pm

Facts??? Longer??? I do not profess to know the man therefore I can neither like nor dislike him. My stance remains the same, he is the wrong person for the job. America cannot endure another four years of an inexperienced crusader running for all of the wrong reasons. The only difference in Hussein and Bush is the color of their skin which I could not be bothered with.
I repeat, should he win, may God have mercy on our country!
I will be one of millions either defecting from the Democratic party or the more probabal – remaining true to the best candidate, and voting for Sen. Clinton anyway. The beauty of America is that while several hundred super-delegates have loved their spotlight, but come November, it will be the millions of Clinton supporters that put them ‘back’ in their place! There is
no democracy in delegates not voting the will of the people. That will is: Sen. Clinton!
