Does This Mean No Vice President Clinton?

The Obama campaign announces Patti Solis Doyle will be Chief of Staff to the Vice Presidential Nominee. Solis Doyle, Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, was last in the news when Sen. Clinton showed her the door back in February. The New York Times asks if this means "Obama is really considering Mrs. Clinton for the No. 2 position, and wants to have an ally of her in place to ease the way? Perhaps."

I would argue the opposite. Clinton and she parted ways in February. If anything this appointment could be seen as questioning Clinton’s judgment for having fired her.

Another interesting addition: Stephanie Cutter — who, as the communications director for the erstwhile campaign of Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., in 2004, knows from spouses getting unwanted headlines — will serve as Senior Advisor to the Campaign and Chief of Staff to Michelle Obama.

Clinton only chance for her to run for president in 2012 is for Obama to win. So Hillary may sabotage Obama run for the white house.

With Solis, Obama camp trying to rein in the Latino vote and the women vote at the same time. Solis did not do a very good job, Hillary should have replaced her with Maggie Williams much earlier. Many of us that voted in the early days of the primary witnessed first hand the result of bad management.
The Latino vote is very diverse, and the women vote has gone AWOL.
This is a sign of the desperation going on in the Obama camp.

Posted by: rw | June 16, 2008, 2:13 pm 2:13 pm

Who cares?
Sen Obama is under no obligation to chose Sen Clinton for anything. If he wants her as VP, great. If not, then he obviously has decided there is a better choice.
This election, contrary to what some believe, is not about Hillary Clinton and some misplaced notion of feminism.
It is supposed to be about chosing the best administration for the next four years. There are a number of people equally as qualified as Sen Clinton to hold the VP position.
Though I disagree with Tapper that we can draw any conclusions from Obama’s selection of Doyle for Chief of Staff.

Posted by: Whatever | June 16, 2008, 2:14 pm 2:14 pm

From the looks of the polls, a Clinton Vice Presidency seem more unlikely daily.
The only reason Obama would need Clintons help is gain ground amongst her supporters… he’s already doing that.
I still refer Jim Webb. Make a real play for Virginia.

Considering that the Clinton campaignb didn’t take off untill Penn was fired, I think Hillary got the wrong fall guy.
Doyle would appeal to both women and the Hispanic vote.
I have no idea of what the obama campaign is thinking about the VP.

it all depends if the reports of her not talking to clinton anymore are true.
which would be stupid on clinton’s part because it was Penn and Bill’s plan and pushing the direction of her early campaign that screwed them up …PSD was on the right side of the argument…so to be mad at the person they fired but was right seems dumb…and I don’t think Hillary is dumb
if they aren’t talking I agree with your assesment Jake
if they are it would be the opposite.

Hillary does not have to sabotage Obama’s chances, he is doing a great job of that on his own. He is not elected, but selected. The democratic establishment has turned away from its own principles by selected Obama. Obama is a poster child for all that is wrong with affirmation action. We blacks so wanted a black president, that we have put ourselves in the most embarassing position by chosing the wrong one. What a pity. When the right and qualified one does come along, it will be too late.

The Democratic Party is about 15-20 points ahead over the Republican Party in the polls yet Sen. Obama is only few points ahead of Sen. McCain, almost wihtin the margin of error! That means Sen. Obama is dangerously behind the curve. He is in danger of losing to John McCain in November. Sen. Obama himself conceeded that he can’t win Florida and Ohio. I also feel that he won’t win many other big battle ground states; for a democratic year in elections, and even after all the media pull he had and all the money he has spent on TV, he’s doing poorly! His only chance of winning in November is to include Sen. Clinotn in the ticket. But would this be acceptable to some of the fanatical supporters in the Obama camp, like Politico and Moveon.org people? Or are these fanatics going to help Republicans win once more just like Ralph Nader did?

There’s no way Obama will pick Hillary. But it is odd to pick a VP nominee’s chief of staff…before picking the VP.
It strikes me as a clever way to make out that Clinton is being given an old insider on the VP’s team. But this old insider, who was not given great marks and moved on, is probably bitter at Clinton, so it’s actually a slap at Clinton.

Obama’s success is because Pelosi did not want to share power with another woman and pulled the super-deligates string to make sure it didn’t happen. Obama is not anti woman but he is anti Clinton when it comes to her being VP. Welcome aboard Patti Solis Doyle and thank you for your loyality to the Democratic Party and Women all over America. Wake up ladies this is one woman who really cares about you and Womens Rights, and she would have never joined forces with somone who did not want to do the same. I love you ladies but I would never want a Hillary Clinton to be seen as a role modle to my two daughters our my son. America would love to have a woman President, but it won’t be Hillary Clinton. The funny thing about this whole thing is that I always thought women where the voice of reason, well atleast my wife is! JUST A JOKE! LOL Ladies us guys no we could not function if it wasn’t for you and I truely mean that! but Hillary turned out to be just as nasty and deviceive as her male counter parts and that is why she lost. America wanted change! SUCH AS NO MORE WAR! NO MORE STRUGGLING TO PAY BILLS THATS WHAT WE WANT AND ALL HILLARY DID WAS PROVE THAT SHE CAN BE A DIRTY POLITICIAN JUST LIKE THE GUYS, AND AGAIN THATS WHY SHE LOST. If she would have focused on the issues and not allowed the media and the folks around her to tell her she had to be tough like a man then she would have won. Also maybe keeping her big mouth husband Bill Clinton quite would have helped, we now see where the tough guy mentality got her. I’m a father and it always pissed me off when my daughters softball coach would say you play like a girl and you need to toughen up and play like a boy. I thought that was the most disrespectful thing he and some time she could ever say to a female. My daughter is a female and should be respected as such, I dont think people understand somtime that the message that is sent to are daughters is that if you want to be great you must play like a boy and that mind set is silly. I always tell my girls if someone tells you that you play like a girl, you say proudly that you are a girl. I have to tell you being knew to the girls softball game there are so very tough girls and my daughter is one of them. Obama was not running to be the so called tough guy as a matter a fact he was getting made fun of because people thought he acted to soft but he didn’t listen to the media or anyone else and thats why he won. Obama was not confussed on who he was but if you remember Hillary was someone else weak to weak. (REMBER!) Also If Obama is more of the same old nasty politics then he shore did’nt show it much but Hillary wore it right on her sleeve 24/7 and that spelled doom for her as a candidate. The women that keep threating that they are gonna vote McSame! why? cause your mad? Come on! if you do that you will only set back women, and that includes my two daughters. Hillary lost fair and square in the politicle world. Nothing is ever fair in politics and we all know that, we’ve seen sexism and raceism directed at both of them and we all act like that is somthing knew. What if Obama was screaming out of his mouth that everyone is picking on me because I’m black he would been out of this race in a heart beat and you know it but Hillary was screaming sexism out of her very own mouth was seen as a victim. Lets all be adults and keep fighting for what is right for your daughters and sons but you should not blast Obama because Hillary Clinton lossed. ITS POLITICS AND THEY BOTH ARE POLITICIANS!

Explain the fact that our only choice for president has been white men. Now in 2008 we get a female & black man. Here comes problems.
Why is it racist. We have never had a black man to vote that was worthy and capable of being president. Yes, I think Obama is intelligent enough to run the world just like any white man.
We had 2 choices that has never been seen in the USA. It is time for change. And the bible says those on top will someday be on the bottom. And those on the bottom will someday be on top. Think about it for yourself.

his color had nothing to do with it.

it was not his color at all.
it was everything else about him-that made my mind up he is not up to the job of being president.
not being about to talk with out a speech, without messing up.
his inability to answer questions off the cuff, which tell me he does not have a good and deep understanding of the subject.
there are a whole lot of reason i can list as to why obama was and is not my choice. and his color is not on the list.
It seems only black people need to bring color into this. and obama does not want this.
this election would have been a lot better if the voters had been fair and balanced. but when you saw the black people voting 90percent for obama-it tell you for them it was all about race.

The truth is that Obama doesn’t need Hillary to win in November. Right now with all the sour grapes supporting McCain, Obama is still ahead of McCain in every National Poll, and has great chances of defeating the GOP. Obama has the best set of policies being offered, John McCain means more of the same. Obama should ignore Hillary’s supporters, that way he could focus more on real issues, like McCain’s health care options against Obama’s health care options, views on war, tax cuts for middle class, energy, EDUCATION (too many dumb people in our country), and decency.

So what constitutes this thinness of his resume that everyone keeps talking about
as someone else pointed out
Ronald Reagan, who served as the President of the United States from 1981-1989, had only eight years of government experience – three fewer than Obama – on his “resume.”
Similarly, 20th century Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson won the presidency despite having thinner resumes than Obama (Wilson, for example, served a single two-year term as the Governor of New Jersey prior to becoming President).
This is a common myth perpetuated by the right and reinforced by Senator Clinton who had less elected and legislative experience than Obama. Additionally, both Bush and Bill Clinton had less foreign policy experience than Senator Obama.
And of course, as well as Senator Obama’s 8 years in the State Senate of Illinois and 3 years in Congress, a total of 11 years in elected office, he has something that is probably more important and more relevant to becoming President than any one of the candidates who vied for the Presidency this year, and that is his years spent teaching constitutional law.
Since George Bush has repeatedly wiped his boots on the constitution, I can’t think of a better qualification than Senator Obama’s experience as a constitutional Law Professor for the University of Chicago and his his civil rights experience as a lawyer.
Our constitution is in dire need of someone as President who respects it, and understands it from a legal standpoint.

mini me,
there is no disputing obama and his views are the most liberal.
obama is to the left of sen. clinton-in the way in which they would execute their plans.
go read up some more on obama.
it may be that we cannot be sure of where obama is, because of his short politcal record.
it is not saying much when all you can say about your candidate on his views are he is close to sen. clinton.
well we know where sen. clinton stands, so that tells us about her.
but saying that in his defense really tells us nothing about him.
maybe it would be better to ask-were does obama differ from sen. clinton.
because to keep saying he is close to sen. clinton-does not define him.

She a very smart and capable lady….
But as for president, that’s out of reach for now…..@ least until 2012 if senator Obama lose to McCain….And he will not lose. Senator Obama will win in 2008 and in 2012…..Be prepared for 8 years of president Barack Obama….

roncraw “no votes in florida or michigan were suppose to count”
according to the rules committee that was headed by team clinton…
so from zero votes to half votes is pretty good considering.
Remember that all the agreements reached by both candidates and the RBC were proposals arranged by
THE STATES themselves…
so… i dont see how you can say someoen or someone wasnt trying to block your vote… it obviously was a mess but not one where you can simply lay at the feet of one candidate or the other.
if you voted for clinton because you agreed with her policies i think that if you look at obama you will realize your values and yoru rights and the things that made you support clinton are all there.
Mccain is simply a 180 degree turn from clinton and obama

With the DNC insiders choosing not to go with the best candidate for the election, they better get of their rumps and help Obama come to terms with the Hillary supporters. They need to do better than the transparent lip service out of Pelosi and the head of the DNC.

Obama is not anti woman but he is anti Clinton when it comes to her being VP. Welcome aboard Patti Solis Doyle and thank you for your loyality to the Democratic Party and Women all over America. Wake up ladies this is one woman who really cares about you and Womens Rights, and she would have never joined forces with Obama if he did not want to do the same. LOL Ladies us guys know we could not function if it wasn’t for you and I truely mean that! but Hillary turned out to be just as nasty and deviceive as her male counter parts and that is why she lost. America wanted change! SUCH AS NO MORE WAR! NO MORE STRUGGLING TO PAY BILLS THATS WHAT WE WANTED AND ALL HILLARY DID WAS PROVE THAT SHE COULD BE AS DIRTY OF A POLITICIAN JUST LIKE THE GUYS, AND AGAIN THATS WHY SHE LOST. I thought that was the most disrespectful thing he and some times it was a she could ever say to a female. My daughter is a female and should be respected as such, I dont think people understand somtime that the message that is sent to are daughters is that if you want to be great you must play like a boy and that mind set is silly. I always tell my girls if someone tells you that you play like a girl, you say proudly that you are a girl. I have to tell you being knew to the girls softball game there are some very tough girls that would dust some of these so called tough boys not because they play like boys but because they play like girls. and my daughter is one of them girls who happens to be a pitcher would mop the floor with a lot of these guys. Obama was not running to be the so called tough guy as a matter a fact he was getting made fun of because people thought he acted to soft but he didn’t listen to the media or anyone else and thats why he won. Obama was not confussed on who he was but if you remember Hillary was someone else weak to weak. (REMBER!) Also If Obama is more of the same old nasty politics then he shore didn’t show it much but Hillary wore it right on her sleeve 24/7 and that spelled doom for her as a candidate. The women that keep threating that they are gonna vote McSame! why? cause your mad? Come on! if you do that you will only set back women, and that includes my two daughters. Lots stop this pay back attitude because it will only cause other people to feel that they too will have to pay someone back and we all lose. Hillary lost fair and square in the politicle world. Nothing is ever fair in politics and we all know that, we’ve seen sexism and raceism directed at both of Hillary and Obama and we all act like that is somthing knew. What if Obama was screaming out of his mouth that everyone is picking on me because I’m black he would been out of this race in a heart beat and you know it but Hillary was screaming sexism out of her very own mouth and was seen as a victim. I’m a black/white man my wife is white/german and my kids are of course mixed, we don’t raise victoms, life is sometimes not fair but we raise our kids to lead by example and treat others as they would want to be treated and to just be themselves, that’s what we all should aspire too. Lets all be adults and keep fighting for what is right for your daughters and sons but you should not punish Obama because Hillary Clinton lossed. IN THE REAL WORLD PEOPLE WE ALL SHOULD BE EQUAL NOT MATTER YOUR RACE OR GENDER BUT THE FIGHT IS STILL GOING ON WHY? WE ALL NEED EACHOTHER, WE ALL ARE AMERICANS. You all have to never lose sight that this whole thing with HILLARY AND OBAMA, ITS POLITICS AND BOTH HILLARY AND BARACK ARE POLITICIANS! We the regular people out here in America are not politicians and should be treating eachother much better then we do. Obama08/16

The media keeps pumping out pro Obama propoganda every single day. Ignoring anything positive about Mc Cain.
Its such a joke as to be pathetic. However, with a party in power for 8 years, a highly unpopular president, and a super CORRUPT media hyping one candidate over the other……
Good ol Obama has a 4 point lead.
He should have a TWENTY point lead. Historically, all the incoming parties candidates have a huge lead over the outgoing parties candidate at this stage.
Obama is so pathetic he cant even open up a lead over Mc Cain.
And never again will the american public allow a corrupt media to BRAINWASH a candidate into power.

Only when he was an Illinois state senator, in which capacity it was all campaign talk.
As a U.S. Senator, Obama’s voted to fund every murderous minute of it, said he would’ve voted to support it if he’d been in the U.S. Senate, and paid lip service to every soldier-cult talk-op to come down the pike, including the recent groveling to AIPAC — and the reiteration of adoration for Bush I, who STARTED it.

The first six years in the Illinois senate B O did ZIP….. aside from a lot of pork-bellying.
Oh and he DID find time in between to write those two semi-autobiographical novels of his….
In his seventh year,Obama was taken under the wing of Emil Jones who had decided to make himself a senator and who therefore borrowed a ton of legislative papers worked on and struggled over by other legislators to give to B O to use in his name and further his political progress which had been relatively stagnant til then.
And since, he’s been in the US Senate, he’s been away so much it seems he’s only in attendance when he says “present”!
So no one is putting Obama down because of the length of his service….
It’s his experience and resume rather than his tenure that’s so

As for Clinton, she would be wasted up picking up after his gaffes and boneheaded mistakes.

When you voted for Hillary (if you voted for hillary) were you aware that the Clintons asked Rev Wright to come into the white house to meet with them?
If church is the only thing you are thinking about in your vote, then I don’t know what to tell you, if you are wanting a better economy, are worried about the environment, and no longer want to continue a war that we had no right being in and allowing more and more young kids to die and families to be destroyed? If youd like to see the united states repair its world standing and would like to see the US become a leader in the world instead of a over played super power that is hated, or if youd simply like to see companies have incentives to keep jobs here then Obamas your man,

Actually you need to go do some research on why those revotes never took place.
/protip
Instead of looking at rightwing internet sites for your propaganda youll do some real research and youll find that the revote was not the cause of any candidate, there was no way everyone could agree on how to implement a revote, the states themselves explained this at the DNC or RBC meeting during the florida Michigan debacle.
Im guessing you didn’t watch that meeting at all. I watched every last second of it, and it was very informative. The states were happy with the way things turned out… the only one who isn’t happy is hillary whos team it was to impose these regulations on THOSE states anyway….

put their record of helping this country and others up against who you have helped (me included) there is no comparison.
i believe, hope and pray, they more the clinton hatere hate, the more good the clinton’ will do for this world while they are still here and able to.
so keep on hating the clinton’
i don’t believe sen. clinton wants to be anywhere near the white house with michelle and barack there.

Or does the president pick the staff working under all of the people he chooses to work with him? Seems a little weird to me. And, why is he choosing these people now before he has even won the election.

This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. Patty Solis Doyle, sister of Chicago’s 25th Ward Alderman Danny Solis, is a product of the same corrupt Chicago/Crook County Democratic machine that spawned Barack Obama, and whose behind-the-scenes puppet master is King Richard Daley II. Danny Solis is one of his most loyal rubber-stampers in the Politburo that we call our City Council, and nothing here happens politically w/o Daley’s OK.
If you knew just how dirty politics is in ILLinois, which is not so much a state as it is a racket, you would puke. Both major parties here are morally and ethically bankrupt.

Wexler argued for him on May 31st to only count half, now that Obama had the nomination, he is willing to give them full votes in Denver. Like I said, look it up and ypueill see what a hypocrtical pig Obama is. You’re candidate IS GWB jr. I hope you are embarrassed, you should be.

THE QUESTION OF VOTING FOR THE WAR,,
THIS IS A JUDGEMENT CALL THAT ONLY LEADERS THAT LOOK AT THE WHOLE PICTURE SHOULD MAKE WHEN IT COMES TO SENDING AMERICAN CITIZENS OFF TO WAR, TO DIE FOR COUNTRY..
Here Bush was giving an open slate to fight anyone he wanted.. Obama saw this and objected..
Hillary did not for ‘POLITICAL’ reasons of the state of NY.
Doing what right, should not be a decision of what is ‘POPULAR’.

What was put to them wasn’t EVEN “for or against this bloody war” (in which none of our august statesmen has required so much as a Band-Aid).
A smart CHILD could have shut it down right there, but noooo. Bush was GOING to war, and only ONE Rep — Barbara Lee — had the stuff to cross the neo-cons, who were riding high.
It was a re-run of the Tonkin Gulf resolution, and they went for it AGAIN.

Obama chose to spend most of his adult life with people that have a common theme.
They are angry people that either hate America or have a problem with whites.
Michelle–America is mean
Wright/Trinity–GD America
Pleger–Obama’s “moral compass” says America is a sin
Ayers–terrorist that stomps the flag
When America wakes up to the real Obama
I hope Hillary is far away from the backlash.

When he DID get into the Senate, he said he didn’t know HOW he would have voted (hahaha), and has voted for everything about it ever since, bowed down to AIPAC, and backtracked considerably on the anti-war blabla from the early primaries.
In between going along to get along, he bleats unconvincingly about veterans — just another gutless goose.

I don’t believe that in the end Obama won’t pick Hillary for VP. For one, we all know this race was extremely close. Obama received more delegates and Hillary won crucial GE states with a slight lead in popular vote. That is a draw. You can argue rules or whatever, but it’s a draw to the majority of us. The majority of us find the “Dream Ticket” appealing. Once they are together, Obama will fulfill the title of “Uniter” and Hillary will continue to persevere as a “Fighter”, with both making history. A huge portion of us will insure a strong lead win in the General Election and the motivators, workers, open-minded, better world seeking people are obviously ready to cooperate in a new era . I think Obama will do the right thing and make Hillary VP. Let’s get together and get to work on the Renaissance of America. Let’s heal the wounds on us and the world.

Catleya, Whith all do respect! If you read my whole post, you would have seen that I never questioned what Hillary Clintons role with women around the world has been but I will say it’s very hard to take her serious sometime when she tells the world that she was shot at by snipers and then admits that she lied or the whole peace deal in Iraland which she took a great deal of credit for, that also turned out to be a bit of a stretch. My point with this post is that whatever great things she might have or might not have done for women has been cheepend by her own doing and know one else. In my opinion Hillary Clinton is no role modle to women and certainly not to my two young daughters and son. That’s the whole problem these days we want to justiy bad behavior and sale our souls for a win or a little money etc because it feels good for the moment but long term you pay a bigger price and the price being paid is your selfrespect your character, is that the women Hillary Clinton you want your kids to say is their role modle? I dont! We need to reach that moral high ground and stop selling out our morals to what we know in are minds and hearts is wrong. I teach my two girls and my son to work hard and to treat people how they would like to be treated and that will gain you the respect and a internal happiness that you will always be proud of, if you live by that, then you will not have to lie our stretch the truth. Some of us adults could use a little teaching in this area. I’m sure your a very nice person and I mean no disrespect but Hillary is not the right women for the job! Maybe it might be my daughter or yours if you have one that will be the right women for the job. My daughter talks about being president all the time and she is only six, she likes the idea of being the boss and riding around in Limos LOL. The goals she reaches for have nothing to do with Obama our Hillary it’s me an her mother who tell her she and my other kids can be anything they want to be with out lieing and cheating if their willing to work hard and play by roles it will pay off. I must also say that my children are all honor roll students, my preschooler is gonna be skiping the first grade and go into the secound and I am very proud of her.She will be the next president of the united states atleast thats what she has told me. My oldest daughter is 12 and this my softball girl and she to has worked hard to be a big time picher. The real romodles are the parents not the politicians.

I believe as many do that the appointment of Solis-Doyle signaled that Clinton will not be the VP. And that’s fine. The choice is Obama’s as the nominee. But to appoint the VP’s chief of staff before the VP is bizarre. And to appoint a top level Clinton staffer who left because she did such a poor job is also bizarre.
Can only be seen as Obama going far out of his way to stick it to Hillary. Puzzling move when you are trying to unify the party behind you.

Of course he had to pick Hillary’s spokeperson – he didn’t have a thought of his own during the debates ” I agree with Sen Clinton” so he hires a person who can feed him all of Hillary’s ideas.
No Hillary no Obama!

Everyone steps around Obama because they are afraid to speak up and be called a racist. The media did the same thing through out the whole campaign.
He is a man running for president, I don’t care if he is black, purple, green or blue. If he doesn something wrong, call him on it. They did it to Hillary the whole time so why not Obama?
Guess the media was afraid of being sued.

sen. clinton does not want to be obama’ vp.
and even if psd told him everything sen clinton knows, unless it is written down for him, sen. clinton will need to comeback and tell it to the people for him.
again sen. clinton does not want to be obama; vp. period

an a Jamiacan reading all your posting and it is astonishing that a First World country like yours can make such stupid mistakes your economy is in a pickle, folks are loosing their homes, kid are being killed in an illegal war and folks are here advocating for John Mcain to win it beyond me. Leave that to persons who are from third world countries who are less educated and poverty stricken, what new leadership can you get form a 71 year old who has been a part of the system for more than two decade.

Based on evidance, I believe Obama has no substance as a nominee. If the American people continue to wake up to this, he will NOT win the GE.
I support Hillary Clinton for president in 2008 and I wouldn’t like to see her have anything to do with the Obama camp, i.e. the VP position.
However, if Senator Clinton continues to praise and support Barack Obama, I will start to doubt her judgment and her credibility. And then where do I go?

same here,
I am with sen. clinton all the way,
right up to when she ask me to support obama.
she may need to encourage her supporters to vote for him.
but i will not do it.
and she still has my support.

I can hear Hillary now:
“I COULD’A BEEN A CONTENDAH!”

I say anyone that wants to vote for John McCain please vote for him. You’ll get the same war, the same economy, the same healthcare and all the other wonderful things George Bush has given us for the last 7 and a half years. Need I forget “four dollar” a gallon gasoline.

Smart? This is America; you can vote for the nominee of your choice:
You can vote for the one who can’t wait to nominate Supreme Court Justices who will overthrow Roe v. Wade;
You can vote for the one who voted AGAINST equal pay for women;
You can vote for the one who voted against health care for women as being too expensive.
You can vote for the one who helped give up the Iraq war.
You can vote for the one who can’t wait to “Bomb, Bomb, Bomg” Iran.
YES YOU CAN!

it is a moot point, i will be glad when this story line has died down.
sen. clinton can continue to do her good work, and can get more good work done for the people of this country,
she does not need obama, and he does not need her.
sen. clinton will be able to do more good work in the pvt.sector than michelle obama will be able to do as first lady.
sen. clinton does not want or need to be the vp.her good work will continue

How many senior advisors do you need? This is what we can expect if BHO ever becomes Pres. Overstaffing, huge expenses and tons of taxes. Way to go! As for him hiring Clinton’s ex-chief of staff….I would think that whoever the VP is that they would hire their own. How controlling is this…..As for why…this woman is the wire of a man who is and has been on Obama’s campaign since the start. I give Hillary credit for keeping her that long. Conflict of interest and tons of pillow talk! The woman should have stepped down herself.
Can’t wait to vote McCain.

Just because obama hires Patty Solis Doyle, DOESN’T mean that that is going to get him any of Hillary’s supporters to “soften and throw their support his way”. If that is obama’s objective by hiring Solis Doyle for his campaign, then obama is even less intelligent and more naive than I think he is…..
It sure can’t be that Solis Doyle would be a tremendous asset to his campaign–Solis Doyle didn’t do such a hot job in her position in Hillary’s campaign—-that’w why she was let go by Hillary’s side.
I would tend to surmise that obama wants to continue to try to “morph himself” like Senator Clinton—-at the start of the campaign some almost 2 years ago, Senator Clinton had clearly spelled out her plans and solutions for America’s problems. Then, lo and behold, as each debate between Clinton and obama went by, obama started echoing Senator Clinton’s ideas and solutions to fix America’s problems. Soon, he sounded just like her. Yikes. Now he is hiring her fired staff. For WHAT? More ideas and information on how to try to further convince Hillary supporters to come to his side and vote him in as President? …….ain’t gonna happen, friends…..

I would love to see Hillary as VP. When someone calls and asks for the President I’m sure Bill, Hillary and Obama would all answer (parallel to Three Stooges). Then Bill and Hilliary could send Obama on harmless trips around the world.

I will be with Hillary all the way but I will be with the Democratic party only and only if Hillary is on the ticket. If Hillary is not on the ticket as VP, I will close my eyes and ears and stay away from the general election. Our family might even consider an overseas trip in November.
