Hamas Un-’Endorses’ Obama
Sen. Barack Obama’s speech to AIPAC has convinced Hamas that he and Sen. John McCain are interchangeable. If the group had its druthers, neither one would win.
"Obama’s comments have confirmed that there will be no change in the U.S. administration’s foreign policy on the Arab-Israeli conflict," Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri told Reuters in Gaza.
"The Democratic and Republican parties support totally the Israeli occupation at the expense of the interests and rights of Arabs and Palestinians," he said. "Hamas does not differentiate between the two presidential candidates, Obama and McCain, because their policies regarding the Arab-Israel conflict are the same and are hostile to us, therefore we do have no preference and are not wishing for either of them to win."
Hamas had never actually endorsed Obama. In April, Hamas political adviser Ahmed Yousef told WABC radio that "we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will [win] the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance."
The campaign of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., at the time characterized this as an endorsement, and made hay out of the kind words.
But today it wasn’t just the terrorists of Hamas expressing chagrin at Obama’s speech.
Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas took issue with Obama’s assertion that Jerusalem would remain the "undivided" capital of Israel.
"We reject these words," Abbas said. "Jerusalem is one of the files under negotiation. The entire world knows perfectly well that we will never accept a state without Jerusalem. That should be clear."
And Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat said that Obama’s "remarks on Jerusalem cast doubt over the chances of peace…We reject the positions of Barack Obama because they are in contradiction with the traditional positions of the United States which considers that east Jerusalem is under occupation."

Boehner Slams Obama on Contraception Controversy
Actually there is a difference. MCCAIN IS CONFUSED ABOUT INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS.
See below from the U.K’s Telegraph:
“At a press conference in Amman, Jordan, Mr McCain said he was concerned about Iranians “taking al-Qa’eda into Iran, training them and sending them back”.
When challenged, he responded: “Well, it’s common knowledge and has been reported in the media that al-Qa’eda is going back into Iran and receiving training and are coming back into Iraq from Iran. That’s well known. And it’s unfortunate.”
After Senator Joe Lieberman, his colleague and fellow Iraq hawk, whispered in his ear, Mr McCain said: “I’m sorry, the Iranians are training extremists, not al-Qa’eda.”

My family of 19 Floridian Reagan Democrats will be registered Republicans for the first time to hold our noses and vote JM in Nov. No to Obama. Obama, and the party leaders are sexists elitist and out of touch. Time to reject the Democratic party once and for all. We need another alternative to the misguided Republicans. GWB Jnr is the worst ever President in the History of the US. The man is an idiot and a moron. From one empty suit to ? another (BO, a racist sexist empty suit). Help Bloomberg and Dobbs. That’s funny, he was one of only 22 senators who voted against doing that very thing.

Hamas prematurely yanked its endorsement. Give BO a chance; when he talks to them again, he’ll condemn Irael. What is not news is the fact that BO will tailor his message to his audience. He will somehow squirm his way out of the inconsistency by inventing some “phrase.” This is the same old, same old, definition of the verb “is.”

Of course it would be *paranoid* to suggest now that he is the Presumptive, Hamas realizes that supporting him is not helping him to win so they are now unsupporting him to support him. But more paranoide, they know we know they think we think that so they are unsupporting him to get us to believe they don’t support him so they can support him. But even more …
Ah nuts. Let the guy run and find out like the rest of us that no one tells the truth in politics.

Obama doesn’t support Hamas, Hamas doesn’t support Obama. Hmm. None of this bothers me a bit! But Obama should stick by his guns when he says he will find diplomatic solutions and will at least listen to the opposition. If Israelites and Palestinians want a hope for peace and solutions by someone who’s actually interested in listening they aren’t gonna get that with McSame.

Obama has said his spiritual advisers include Rev. Wright and Father Pfleger who are apostles of black liberation theology. Most people view black liberation theology as a racist creed. Wright said from the pulpit of his church “God D### America.” Father Pfleger said from the pulpit of Obama’s church ““America is the greatest sin against God;” That is why some people think Obama is a racist who hates America.
Posted by: terry | June 4, 2008, 10:49 pm 10:49 pm
Here’s the problem, Scotti: he can’t say any of what you suggest and still get the Jewish vote or a lot of other large well-moneyed voting blocs. So you will have to get used to an idea: he is a politician and a lawyer. IOW, he lies for a living. No free lunch. Now your challenge is to figure out when he is lieing and when he is not and you won’t be able to figure that out until after the election should he win.

Jo:
Apparently, you are referring to the Petraeus/Moveon vote, and are attempting to link that to the Iran vote. Obviously you are just as confused on International issues as John McCain. Obama did take a stand on this issue, but was not present at the time of the voting.
The bill being referred to was an attempt to allow for military action against Iran, without oversight, hearings, or debate. Sound familiar? That is how we were duped into the Iraq war – which today clearly was unnecessary, unwarranted, and when the truth finally comes out, probably not legal.
Sen. Jim Webb said about this vote:
“At worst, it could be read as a backdoor method of gaining Congressional validation for military action, without one hearing and without serious debate.”
So tell me, how many extremist wars are you lobbying for? Do we take on every country in the Middle East, simply because they are ‘different’ than we are? How many of our soldiers must die for your ‘saber rattling’?

The Israel/Palestian conflict has been going on for 60 years and will still be a conflict if not war when the next President leaves office. Those two religious groups want to destroy each other and their countries. The USA should stay out of it for the most part. We just keep fanning the flames.

John McCain appears to be running a desperate campaign, latching onto any sound bite that can be distorted against Obama. Right out of the George Bush / Karl Rove playbook. Apparently, if McCain can’t campaign on the issues that matter to Americans, he’ll have to resort to dirty smear politics.

orange cat – If the US is to broker peace over there than we need to understand what motivates Hamas. I am so sick and tired of hearing about Arabs vs. Israelis. Israelis vs. Arabs! The United States, nor any other country, should have to subject itself to constant monitoring of this ridiculous conflict. that has been going on for 1,000′s of years. The leaders on both sides in the conflict are insane people who have no idea about diplomacy and compromise. The US should just let the Middle East go to war with itself and see who comes out on top. It seems like peace will only be achieved when one side blows the other side up. The two sides are too selfish to do anything different. I hope they will prove the world wrong and actually think and use common sense for one.

As far as who I will vote for: I don’t know. I have become disillusioned that the politicians have our best interests at heart. I believe many are in it for power and greed. I would put Clinton into this category. I may write Paul in. I may vote Nader or Barr. I just want the establishment to take a jolt this election, but I don’t think it will happen. I am a delegate out in New Mexico. I have never been interested in politics until I heard Paul speak at one of the republican debates, and my belief that someone is saying it how it is blew me away. I registered as a republican too late to get a state delegate position, but I can vote on sending people to the national convention.

Ryan – He is an interesting candidate, very different from the others. He is certainly the candidate that is most against waste, fraud and abuse in government. That is probably the reason he wants to shrink the size of government. Most of our tax dollars never makes it back to the communities from where is came. Makes you wonder. He wants to keep many things local. This would include public education and the like. He is for a more non-interventionist foreign policy which actually makes him best on global warming in the near term since the pentagon runs through 440,000 barrels of oil a day. It is my belief that our foreign policy needs to change, but that is a discussion in and of itself. He is against teh war on drugs, which is a failure and puts our tax dollars in the hands of companies fighting it. If you eat to much nutmeg, you get high. People are abusing prescription. The reasons for failure are obvious, and I have never smoked a cigarette in my life. He is also less stringent on prostitution. He believes communities should decide whether they want it or not. This also goes for abortion. He is and OB/GYN that has the support of Jane Roe. He returns part of his salary back to teh treasury every year and has turned down the pension program becasue he believes it is not the taxpayers duty to afford him one. He also takes on the federal reserve for greater transparency, and is a advocate for backing the dollar with something so it maintains its value. He takes no money from lobbyist which for a guy in congress 20 years is unbelievable. This is one of the main reasons I am voting for him. The list goes on.

Ryan read below and wise up:
Stella said
“RYAN STOP YOUR MISINFORMATION CAMPAIGN.
She said she was proud for the first time in her adult life that Americans were so actively engaging in the political process.
I am a 72 year old white woman and I too I’m very proud of America for the first time in my life. This election has changed many things.”

If Stella is correct I apologize. What I heard was taken out of context when I heard it. Much like the “I don’t mind if were in Iraq for 100 years” comment from McCain I’m sure so many of you believe.

Ben Straub, I wish more people in here had your intelligence. Ron Paul sounds like a good man. I agree with many of the things you stated. I never thought about looking into him because I heard he had no chance. Maybe in 2012 after more people hear what he’s about he’ll get some attention. Out of the candidates left though you must agree McCain is better for the future of this country. Obama won’t fight for anything. He’s nothing more than a black Jimmy Carter.

TJ STOP BLAMING OBAMA FOR HRC’S LOSS. THIS IS WHY SHE LOST PLAIN AND SIMPLE:
By Anne E. Kornblut and Dan Balz
Washington Post Staff Writers
Thursday, June 5, 2008; Page A01
“In reality, Clinton lost the nomination long before May 6. The early mistakes have been well documented: a flawed message that focused too much on inevitability and not enough on change; a failure to make Clinton more appealing to Iowa voters; a strategic miscalculation about the importance of caucus states; a spouse, former president Bill Clinton, who intruded as much as he aided his wife; a campaign that was at times dysfunctional.”
Posted by: Sally | June 5, 2008, 12:46 am 12:46 am
I’m not arguing that Mindy. Although he didn’t use those words. I believe he said something like “I don’t know as much as I should about the economy” (not completely sure) I’m 99% positive he didn’t state “I know nothing about the economy”

Orange cat – I like it. With 1 in 5 coming back with a brain injury and 30,000+ troops injured and the highest suicide rates among active duty in 25 years, I could see your proposal as very beneficial. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis that have died. Seems like a lot of waste for what……democracy?

Ryan – I forgot to mention that he is 73 years old. 2012 might be pushing it. He is a good man, but he had an uphill battle. I have debated many fellow republicans, and the war issue is usually a sticking point, but not always. Thanks for this debate.

Ryan – Forgot to respond to the second part. Spending increases over the present budget. I believe I saw these on cnn. Obama +250 billion, Clinton +230 billion, McCain +60 billion, Paul -150 billion. In this respect McCain would be the best of the top three fiscally. I forgot to mention earlier that Paul has recieved more donation from active duty military than the rest combined. They are trying to tell us something. We just have to here it.

As an initial Edwards delegate, I rallied behind Sen. Obama as soon as Edwards retired from the race.
Now that Sen. Clinton is finally exiting the race. (after acting like a Prima Donna for the past 8 weeks) It is time for Sen. Obama to choose a Vice-President candidate.
After giving it some thought, I had an inspirational thought, calling Elizabeth Edwards name as the Vice-Presidential running mate to Sen. Obama.
Elizabeth is an extra-ordinary Democrat. She is a strong partner in an exceptional marriage with Sen. John Edwards. She would be a strong voice among progressives and a champion to their most pertinent initiatives.

Whether it’s a sincere unendorsement or a ruse, it certainly benefits Obama. McCain can no longer use it to beat him about the head and Obama can wave it around a bit to show that his views on Israel are identical to McCain’s.
Well, his stated views. As to his real views, my hunch is we’ll find out once he’s in office.
Obama’s foreign policy is an odd mix of realism and idealism. On the one hand, he favorably cites George Bush Sr.’s policies; yet he also talks about “repairing the world” and restoring America’s status in the world.
That’s an odd concern – restoring our world image – coming from a ostensible proponent of realpolitik.

McCain’s fatal flaw
Something has been bothering me about Sen. McCain’s health reform proposal, but till yesterday I couldn’t put my virtual finger on it. Something just underneath the coverage of the details of the McCain plan’s treatment of tax rates, personal health records, chronic disease prevention, and consumerism.
And much much more important, and in retrospect, very obvious.
McCain’s plan would almost certainly increase the number of uninsured in the US – by a lot.
McCain calls for greatly expanding individual insurance at the expense of the current employer-based system.
Employers would jump at the opportunity to dump their very expensive insurance plans, perhaps increasing employees’ pay and perhaps not. Remember, more and more employers are dropping coverage these days, a trend that would likely accelerate under McCain’s plan. There’s one obvious problem – administrative expense in the individual market is much higher, and one estimate puts the added cost at an additional $20 billion; I believe that is far too modest and the added admin expense will be much higher than $20 billion.
But that problem pales in comparison with the real issue – in general, there is no medical underwriting for larger employer plans (and limited underwriting for smaller groups) – anyone is eligible, and pre-existing conditions are usually covered (albeit with some limitations in some areas for a limited period of time).
Posted by: Ryan | June 5, 2008, 1:02 am 1:02 am
The result? Under McCain’s plan, folks with pre-existing medical conditions would not be able to get coverage for those conditions (if they could get coverage at all). McCain’s ‘plan’ will almost certainly lead to many more uninsured Americans, and many of those that could get coverage in the individual market will almost certainly not have coverage for their current, pre-existing medical conditions.
I know, the Senator’s website has some mumbojumbo about how he would work with the states, and encourage this and that, and talk with governors; meaningless words that spin his position well beyond Pluto.
McCain’s’ faith in the ‘market’ as the solution is nothing short of laughable. We know he wouldn’t get coverage in the individual market today due to his pre-existing conditions; somehow he thinks that this would change if the market is further deregulated? Not likely – the states with more regulation happen to be the ones that limit, or prohibit, medical underwriting.
It is painfully obvious that McCain knows precious little about health insurance, or private enterprise for that matter. No profit-seeking entity would ever voluntarily insure someone with MS, or heart disease, or asthma, or Crohn’s disease, or melanoma, or hypertension, or high cholesterol, or any of the other medical conditions that are all too common in the US. At least not at a premium anyone other than a top McCain donor could afford.
And this guy is running for President? What a country.
Posted by: Ryan | June 5, 2008, 1:04 am 1:04 am
The motive: Hamas figured out that an endorsement from them (just like the Obama endorsement from Fidel Castro) would hurt Obama’s chances to win. Since an Obama win is exactly what Hamas wants (as that will mean a weaker America), Hamas is “unendorsing” Obama (at least in public) in order to help him win.

Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain’s national campaign general co-chair was being paid by a Swiss bank to lobby Congress about the U.S. mortgage crisis at the same time he was advising McCain about his economic policy, federal records show.
Tuesday night that lobbying disclosure forms, filed by the giant Swiss bank UBS, list McCain’s campaign co-chair, former Texas Sen. Phil Gramm, as a lobbyist dealing specifically with legislation regarding the mortgage crisis as recently as Dec. 31, 2007.
Gramm joined the bank in 2002 and had registered as a lobbyist by 2004. UBS filed paperwork deregistering Gramm on April 18 of this year. Gramm continues to serve as a UBS vice chairman.
McCain’s friend would sell whatever is left of America to the Chinese. Another Bush policy McCain would carry out.

It really does not matter who wins they are all humans who are capable of mistakes no matter how perfect we want them to be. We will all still be like a game that they must play and we have to cross fingers and hope whoever the president is makes the right moves. We all know how this works. They will choose whoever they want even if it means cheating. I think it was all a game anyway they had to make it interesting and have Obama and Hilary at each others throats fighting for a title at history when they don’t want neither a woman or a blackman in the White House running anything. All though my wordly mind is ruling for Obama. My faith is still in God. Because Obama is human just like me. So I pray that he wins this crazy setup race and that God steps in and guide his mind and soul into the right direction in which this country needs to be directed. After all McCain is like a 30 seconds from 1000 years old. He needs to be somewhere playing with some grandkids or something. Not tring to rule the world.

This should not surprise us. To a Muslim, an “infidel” is a non-Muslim. They believe that infidels must be killed; their teachings DON’T say kill infidels if they are Republicans (or Democrats)! They DON’T CARE who our President is. When Muslims chant “Death to America”, there is no “if” included, such as “IF their President is a Republican.”
The 9/11 attacks were planned while Clinton was President and carried out while Bush was President. This SHOULD tell us their “non-endorsement” is meaningless.
Never before have our enemies made their intentions so clear or been so straightforward about their hatred of us. But we STILL aren’t listening!

Hamas is just saying that because they really secretly do endorse Obama, but they don’t want to ruin him getting elected because endorsing him publicly would hurt his election chances and that connection could be very harmful. I think it is a bit naive of John McCain to expect the media to walk away from the general election especially this one. In addition, I have no beef with McCain but does he honestly think his OPPENENT is going to try to help him, because John McCain is NOT an effective communicator, like say Regan? I have to give Obama and Hillary credit for debating more times than I have ever heard of, and they didn’t say who was allowed to view, or act like the American people actually buy into the fact that they are just two regular Joe’s just a having a good debate about politic, um this debate is for the highest position in the land. I will say as someone who used to be more conservative, and being from California I am actually tired of hearing McCain just talk about Iraq. I want him to talk about Immagration, and I want him to rally the base regarding this issue. I want him to say “that fence is going UP NOW and that the Republican party is AGIANIST ILLEGAL IMMAGRATION no if ands or buts about it.” I want him to say clearly “I am pro-life and will appoint those judges that will support LIFE.” Sure people may hate Bush now, but at least we KNEW where he stood on the issues. The DEM base is fired up, don’t believe the hype..they are ready to go. My church, won’t even endorse McCain because of the way he threw Hagee under the bus. Is McCain…the real UNKNOWN?

The power of clairvoyance on Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton’s touted soon-to-come concession will be inconclusive and a cliffhanger. She still strongly believes in clairvoyance which as recently as the beginning of May reconfirmed she would get the nomination. Not all in her inner camp believed this, Bill included. The pressure by her staff to give up after North Carolina and Indiana was resisted solely because of this strong faith in clairvoyance. The RFK and June reference was not a misspeak, but had been discussed and rumored within the inner circle. It has been assured to her again and again that something catastrophic will happen towards the mid of June, and she would get the nomination. However, the pressure in the recent days has become too intense, but she is bidding for time, and still strongly believes in waiting till towards mid June as she was assured. Hence, even when she stages a mock concession this weekend, it will go thus: I am suspending my campaign to support BHO, but wish to retain the right to hold onto my delegates and votes, and enjoy the necessary visibility to continue to promote my agenda on health care, economy, ending the war, and the environment. Do not be mistaken, she still believes strongly that the nomination will be hers. If the DNC and her increasingly dissenting inner circle do not prevail on her to make an unconditional concession, she will hold onto this believe, and will try to force things to happen by herself at some point before August. She is herself becoming increasingly impatient against the advice that she remains calm and patient till all is fulfilled. I am one who no longer shares this belief.

Have you ever noticed that the Republican supporters never seem to say what their candidate is FOR; but instead make statements that are either half-truths or blatant lies about their opponent? And the scary part is, it appears they believe their own distortions!
John McCain is now claiming HE is the candidate for CHANGE, but change to what? McCain voted 95% of the time WITH George Bush; so is he proposing a 5% change? In 2000, McCain was running as a ‘maverick’, but has really ‘changed’ in the past 8 years.
Lets see, what is McCain FOR? Continuation of the tax relief to the top 2% most wealthy, while turning his back on the plight of the average worker.
Continuation of tax relief to the oil companies under the premise of ‘exploration’.
Continuation of an unjust war intended to force democracy on another country whether they wanted it or not.
Continuation of an economic policy leading to the loss of homes to predatory mortgage lenders (with the help of Phil Gramm).
Continuation of ‘No Child Left Behind’, designed to reward the ivy league schools and withhold money from the struggling children.
Continuation of the outflow of better paying manufacturing jobs from the US, while claiming job increases in the service sector (minimum wage jobs).
Strange. That doesn’t sound like ‘change’ to me, it sounds like CONTINUATION of the Bush failures.

Billy Bob:
Over the past month, McCain is coming into the spotlight too. Listening carefully to what each candidate is saying, and how they are adapting their stance on the issues, McCain is looking more and more like the ‘Flip-Flopper’.
This isn’t the 2004 campaign. Obama is a much stronger candidate than Kerry, so the slur tactics of Karl Rove aren’t going to work this season.
Perhaps you may want to adapt your own attack, to avoid having McCain become labeled as a ‘Flip-Flopper’. But then, that would make you a flip-flopper too, wouldn’t it.
A change we can BELIEVE in!

with sen. clinton now off the scene.
after eight years of george “the moron”
bush.
we are now witness to the further
dummying down of the presidency.
mccain and obama trying to set their better turf to talk to the american people.
i prefer the townhall style, not because mccain thinks he is best at it.
but because they both need to be put on the spot by random questions from the audience, without the middle man moderator.
the LAST thing we need to hear from obama IS ANOTHER SPEECH-and we don’t need a speech from mccain either.
it would have been good for the country to have a president who could speak well in ANY forum-and that would have been sen. clinton.
both of these candidates claim they are forward thinking-but what they and their kind and the msm need and want
is to get back to politician style pre bill clinton. who were boring and now very good with making it plain to people. just all around average.
i will watch neither unless nader can be included, because if obama gets the lincoln/douglass style-we will just hear another set of long speeches.
obama can say a whole lot of nothing better than anybody.
but i most favor the townhall style,
because at least the voters get a chance to participate.

TO BE A GOOD DEMOCRAT OR TO BE A GOOD AMERICAN—John McCain is not the same as George Bush; in fact a few years ago he was going to leave the Republican party. The democrats will control Congress so there is no need to worry about Roe v Wade or ultra conservative justices being appointed to the Supreme Court. Iraq-nobody will be able to pull out all the troops within 16 months; we will have a presence there just like we do in other foreign countries. We need to earn the respect back of the American people and world leaders by electing the right person to be the President of the United States; he/she should have demonstrated good judgment, honesty, and integrity—. Hillary 2012 now McCain—Country first, then party.

Quite a change from what Obama said a few weeks ago-Iran is tiny and no threat. How far would that get him with Jewish voters?
Obama is going to have to back down on a lot of things he said just to get elected. This will make him look weak, inexperienced,flip-flopper.
Can’t wait to read the tell-all book about Obama.
He is distancing himself from and a lot of shady associates that may get tired of being trashed (Resko,Ayers,Wright,
Farrakhan).
Looks like many people are willing to take this from Obama just to get him elected. If he becomes president will they continue to take it?
The starry-eyed people that thought Obama was a different politician better brace themselves for a hard fall.

maryanne,
i am with you on sen. clinton should have been the nominee.
but if the public does not know, although it makes sense, how do you know the obam people made deals to pass bills?
also, that kind of thinking maybe for you,
but i think what has happened to sen. byrd is because he is old and in fraile health. and what has happened to sen.kennedy is unfortunate and very sad.
when we get into the payback mode for mortal people and saying god is paying back-well that is just not right.
and i believe much of the reading in the bible are symbolic and have more spiritual meaning that literal meaning for us earthlings. sen. clinton is the better of ALL of them for president.
and she IS the one we needed for these times. but with the help of the msm she was cheated and so were the american people.
but still sen.clinton is human, and i doubt (as with anyone) would be worthy of having god cause harm to people who were not supporting her. i don’t think she is that type of person. obama’ supporters can damn her to hell and wish all sorts of evil to happen to her, and say she is evil and all of the other things they have said about her.
But she is human just like the rest of us.
Sen. clinton IS the best for president.
and i am with her all the way until she ask me to vote for obama. because the same reasons i had for NOT supporting obama in the primaries, still whole true now.

This a good trick from abc to cover Obama unbiased support to Israel…How….by saying Hamas Un-’Endorses’ him…good try Jake.
Obama bowed in the first exam in front of one of the lobbying machines in US and almost we will do the same in front of all lobbiests…his little expereince and inability to fight against these lobbiest will not give him and choice but to say and do what they want…
Obama you failed the fiesr exam…You are a false hope of channge

Obama just says what he knows they people in his audience wants to hear—he was talking before the Jewish community so naturally he said something different than he said last month. Next group of people he talks to will hear something different and new. The United States needs a man with character, that loves his country (doesn’t just put the flag pin on because of objection).

Obama criticized Hillary for her Senate Iran vote, which recognized Iran’s military as a terrorist org during one of the debates. Of course, he himself was too busy campaigning to show up to vote. One might ask, if it was important enough to blast his opponent on, might it not have been important enough to do his elected duty to the people and vote himself on it?
You can’t believe a word Obama says. Not a single word. He talks out of both sides of his mouth in order to align himself with the group he’s addressing.
He was talking to a group of 60s civil rights workers when he claimed his parents met at Selma. He was addressing an anti-war rally when he gave his anti-war speech (on which he’s hung his entire campaign). He told blue collar workers in Ohio he’d deep six NAFTA while his trade advisor told Canada that was just a political tack.
Rev. Wright knows him as well as anyone and I believe him when he tells us, “Obama is just a politician doing what politicians do.”
The Republicans have the recordings of every original statement and every subsequent flip-flop. They’ll be used to show Obama as either confused and inexperienced or as a lying politician. Either way, he loses with all but the kool-aid drinkers.
McCain ’08!

CJ brings up an excellent point that perhaps the Hamas endorsement withdrawal is simply so McCain can’t use their support for Obama against the tender candidate.
Is this “withdrawal” a show, just as the denouncement of Rev. Wright was? I’m sure they’ll all be one big happy family should Obama take the White House.
Posted by: HoosierSue | June 5, 2008, 10:25 am 10:25 am
Oh, so Hamas never actually endorsed Obama.
So, I guess that means that McCain lied when he said they did endorse him.

Pssssssst…we’re hurting the candidate we want to win the Presidency. Maybe we should change our rhetoric until he actually wins the thing.

Mary, MI:
Why is your question hard to believe?
Who’s McCain? A prophet or something?
People distort the truth…..and he’s human…Did you forget that?

Where else on this big planet do Jews have a homeland besides Israel. If people would just take some time and look at Israel on a world map, they will have a better perspective of this. This is the land that Elohim gave to the Jewish people.
THEY SHOULD NEVER GIVE JERUSALEM…..Let us pray for the shalom of Jerusalem…….

I posted comments on abc about Obama and his friends. Which of his friends would you not want running loose in the white house and pentagon? Obama may place people on his staff that will pass congress’s approval. But who will be his guests long term .Why it might be those he hangs with of course. What kind of people are they that he will be advising him about muslims? I would be worried that Hamas might make a new home here.

I thought that Obama might have what it takes to be president. Until his friends and supporters started in.People judge up by the company you keep. why? Maybe they know the saying birds of a feather flock together. You become like those you surround your self with. Fact.

Good! Glad to hear it, ’cause that endorsement was just too freaky.

Except ABC news and the rest of the MSM forget that it was only TWO months ago that Obama voted NO on making the Iranian Revolutionary Guards be considered a terrorist organizations.
What NERVE of this candidate (Obama) to spead before AIPAC and say he WOULD make the Iranian Revolutionary Guards be considered a terrorist organizations, after he voted NO!
And the beat goes on and NOBODY is noting this double standard.

And the US is still like before, a country eager to invade (Panama, Afghanistan, nuke Japan, etc) and occupy another country/nation (Iraq, Syria, Cuba, etc) by itself or through their ally…

yea right and they give up their terrorist attracks too, It is call political posturing, remember one of OPbama’s aids was meeting with Hamas just recently. and they know during the liberal primary their endorsement works, but were told that after primary to un-endorse Obama!!
Candace – so you never misspoke. Well Obama wants to bomb our allies, and does not want to list the Iranian guard as terrorist, oh thats right he does,, but then why did he vote against it!! oh maybe his puppet master did the voting!!

Obama would tell anything to get elected.Even Abbas is saying that he is wrong on the issue :
“traditional positions of the United States which considers that east Jerusalem is under occupation”
Again another gaff from him because of his inexperience.
Good job DNC for for selecting him.
He will lose in November.

Hamas considers Obama a man of principles? Hamas?
I do not even know what to say about that! I think it says it all!

When Obama was in Chicago Senate, he was very closely connected to the Palisitne groups there; groups that support the violence agianst Israel.
Posted by: Heather | June 7, 2008, 9:51 am 9:51 am
Obama has been strategically vague and it is his charismatic ability to manipulate which has brought him so quickly to where he is. Looking past the emotional fodder about change reveals a firm, persuasive and dictatorial individual who, according to his connections which he tries so valiantly to distance himself from, is clearly not one to be trusted with governing the world’s superpower. He seeks to appease and not clarify; a vote for him is a very dangerous step indeed.
Before anyone may mindlessly ask, I am not a Republican, nor am I a Democrat.

Again, we limit ourselves to choosing between two candidates, republican or democrat. Both will support the party agenda which is well entrenched with their own selection of lobbyists (some of whom have served in the congress or the senate). When will the media give us a view of some of the other candidates who will be on the ballot? Chuck Baldwin (endorsed by Ron Paul) is running as well as several others. i would like to have the media really shake up this election. Can we please hear what the other candidates are for?
