Obama Celebrates Chicago’s Olympic Bid
ABC News’ Sunlen Miller Reports: Senator Obama, in his home town, took a day off from the campaign tail to celebrate Chicago for reaching quarterfinalist status in their bid for the 2016 Olympics.
Obama’s brief remarks to the celebration rally in Daly Park amid athletes and the Chicago Olympic bid committee were not free from his own personal celebration after winning the democratic parties nomination.
“Chicago is going to win the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics. And your Senator – he’s winning too!,” Obama shouted to the crowd gathered.
Obama joked that his Hyde Park home is only two locks from the proposed Olympic site, and said that his home could be vacant by 2016 when the Olympics rolls into town.
“I’m just going to be able to walk over there. I might have to rent out my house, I don’t know how much its going to be worth. And I also, in the interest of full disclosure, I have to let you know that in 2016 I’ll be wrapping up my second term as president.”
The Senator’s hometown crowd cheered, “ So I cant think of a better way to be marching into Washington park alongside Mayor Daly, alongside Rahm Emmanuel, alongside Dick Durbin, alongside Valerie Jarrett as President of the United States and announcing to the world, ‘let the games begin’!”
Valerie Jarrett, one of Obama’s top campaign advisors, also sits on Chicago’s bid committee, and was on stage with Obama as he pulled down a sheet revealing a brand new sign and new logo for Chicago reading , "Chicago 2016 – Candidate City."
Obama has not been immune from the controversy surrounding the Olympic Games himself. With the recent threat of a boycott of the Beijing Olympics Obama was slow in calling for Bush to boycott the opening games – no doubt on his mind politically was Chicago’s own hat in the ring and bid still at stake.

In a matter of a few days after the DNC bullied Clinton into giving up Obama has shown his arrogant side.
Harassed a fellow Senator for telling the truth about Obama’s Israel positions
Acting like he is a two term President

Anyone who opposes Obama must seriously be a raging biggot and completely clueless to the greater good of our world. Furthermore, these must be people that have never traveled outside of the USA and don’t understand culture.
Obama said it’s an exciting time to be in Chicago, couldn’t agree anymore!

How can we ask pollsters to take a poll to find out “What % of Americans know Obama reads from teleprompter and speech is written by speech writer”

Geevill,
You have been watching too much FOX news. Not sure why you think Obama is self absorbed? Seems like you’re a bit out of touch and don’t understand the real issues our world faces.

A historic campaign is just that–historic–and to recognize it is so is not arrogance. If you wish to turn back the page to a disastrous war and have Vietnam all over again in the 21st century, then vote for McSame and 100 more years in Iraq. But do not assassinate Obama’s integrity and character.

lin:
So you are saying:
It is perfectly okay to “assassinate” McCain’s character, but not okay with regard to Obama? Read what he says and tell me how it is not overreaching at best, messianic at worst. Bet you can’t.
If he is elected, I look forward to the eradication of all bad things…good luck with that.

Dukakis, McGovern, Mondale,Obama …… that is how a PRIMARY works
Bush Sr, Nixon, Reagan, McCain…that is how the GENERAL ELECTION works.
It must be hard following a man who cannot teach you basic facts. We have 50 states. Illinois borders Kentucky. Arkansas does NOT border Kentucy, There are no great lakes in Oregon.

Wow, Just when I thought there couldn’t be people less intelligent then certain people on sports blogs, I’m proved wrong. Our failing republican government has not established infrastructure in the past 3 decades, the dollar sucks, our neighboring countries lost respect for us, the list go’s on!
Wait, Have any of you Obama haters spoke with our foreign investors that ALL suport him. We can actually start gaining respect and money back and cut ties with CHINA, which we comletely depend on now.
