On Bob Johnson Being a Clinton Emissary to Make Her VP
Hillary Clinton supporter and BET founder Bob Johnson is a curious pick to be reaching out to rally support for Sen. Barack Obama to name Clinton to be his VP nominee.
Joked one key Obama supporter, "what, Geraldine Ferraro wasn’t available?"

Why would Obama want to weaken his Presidential position by A) picking his rival opponent as his running mate, and B) picking as his running mate the person (i.e. Clinton) who embarrassed him a month ago by suggesting the he, the delegate leader, should be the VP under HER (who was well behind Obama in delegate count). Obama would be a fool to pick his opponent Clinton as his running mate. He would be the laughing stock of politics. Not only that, but Obama can do much better than Clinton as his VP.

Hillary for VP. Go Hillary!

Tapper, Hillary has proven again and again that she simply can’t choose the correct people to work with.
Even Obama-haters will admit that he quite simply hired the better team.

i am still angry at people like chris matthews and mike barnacle celebrating the fall of the houses of clinton and bush when in fact it is the house of kennedy that is finally dying off. karma is something else

Heh, no kidding. Another example of the campaign’s tone deafness.

Hillary would be a great Vice President, but I don’t think she would take it. Why should she be number two?
I don’t think Obama will even want her. He will pick a white man.

I think Hillary does want to be VP but Obama won’t offer the spot to her.
She carries too much baggage and BiLL Clinton.

Hillary doesn’t want or need the Veep slot. She’d do better, and be happier, with a different kind of position. Health Care Czar, for example.
That’s a win/win for everyone.

Hillary should be VP for the good of the country, she could fight and protect Obama from Rev Wright and Rev. Pfleger and his church and Rezco, Ayers and Louis Farrakhan.
Posted by: Anders Scooper | June 4, 2008, 8:36 pm 8:36 pm
i dont think he will offer it to her, you dont try to extort a presidential nominee
last night she basically said i have my voters i need something
if its hte vp spot obama wont give it to her. He has a better idea on what she should be and i think youll see her play a prominent roll,
one that keeps her as an independent politician and not under thumb as the vie president is.
she wants to be great and vice presidency isnt that spot

first you are a tool
secondly hillary was seen as disingenuous by not looking at the historical events of last night, that was a huge mistake on her part, if the bush and condelezza rice and john mccain congratulate before you its a mistake, she should have acknowledged it and in no way did she have to concede but she looked cold and inhuman by not at least having the acknowledgment
thirdly michelle obama has a pretty good stylist

Ironic that George Bush could recognize the achievement of Obama, but not Hillary.

SORRY ANDREA, THAT WON’T HAPPEN according to the New York Times:
“Mrs. Clinton’s aides said she would “express her support for Senator Obama and party unity” at an event in Washington that day. One adviser said that Mrs. Clinton would concede defeat, congratulate Mr. Obama and proclaim him the party’s nominee, while pledging to do what was needed to assure his victory.”

From the sound of it, the Hillary women are loudly proclaiming here that they will NOT support the democratic ticket even if Hillary is the VP. Since this is the case, I think Hillary should not be named VP- why, when it is obvious that she can’t bring along the women’s vote? I think the HIllary women on these blogs accurately represent the near 18 million that voted for her, don’t you?

My family of 19 Floridian Reagan Democrats will be registered Republicans for the first time to hold our noses and vote JM in Nov. No to Obama. Obama, and the party leaders are sexists elitist and out of touch. Time to reject the Democratic party once and for all. We need another alternative to the misguided Republicans. GWB Jnr is the worst ever President in the History of the US. The man is an idiot and a moron. From one empty suit to ? another (BO, a racist sexist empty suit). Help Bloomberg and Dobbs. The mainstream media LIES. Hillary no more would be on that ticket with the Marxist thug than Rev Wright(of course Hussein would love that). The 18 million that voted for her in the primaries will stay home, vote McCain or write her in-he loses bigtime, McGovern all over again.

I saw a sign once that read, “If you did not vote, do not discuss politics here.” In the same vein, if you vote for McCain and he wins, do not complain about it later.
This is a free country, and we are allowed to support whichever candidate we choose. I was not a Hillary Clinton fan but was willing to vote for her if she had won the nomination. I would have done this because despite everything I will not vote against my interests.
I would never ever support a candidate who does not support Roe vs Wade, who does not believe in equal pay for women, who does not support the GI bill for veterans and who does not know anything about the economy- by his own admission. I would never vote for someone who would put the interests of corporations above those of average Americans. So vote for him if you must, but spare us the bi***ing and moaning if you get what you vote for.

Contemplated thoughts of wisdom have caused reason to wane childlike innocents

I am glad she is finally out!! I put myself through college, worked long hard hours over the past 20 years, and have moved up in my field – only to be told by Hillary for the last 5 months that I am an Elitist and not one of the hard working real Americans. Wake up and see that Hillary is being condescending to the blue collar workers and by her own definition is far from being one of them. She is a self serving phony and the only one she is fighting for is herself.
Posted by: SEA | June 5, 2008, 12:35 am 12:35 am
Senator Obama has just been nominated THE PHONY OF THE CENTURY. His speeches are written by someone else, his policies were stolen from Clinton and he even stole his slogans. He has never followed through on his political promises and most of the legislative bills he gets credit for while in the IL Senate were put together by other senators and taken by Emil Jones and given to Obama. He won by cheating and big bucks. He will not win again in Dec. He is a SOCIALIST. The Change he speaks of is for the socialist/marxism/communism agenda.

Posted by: irma | June 5, 2008, 1:43 am 1:43 am
With Hillary as VP, I would be more open to trying to understand Obama’s choices in order to defend the Obama/Clinton or the Clinton/Obama ticket. Right now, I am not at all motivated or inspired by Obama. However, I understand that his supporters feel about him the way we feel about Hillary, it seems silly to not unite these two TITAN FORCES.

Having followed politics since Barry Goldwater and LBJ, I’ve NEVER seen anything like the pettiness and immaturity of the people (mostly women, apparently) supporting Hillary Clinton. Their infantile threats and anger are sickening, and only prove that they – and by association – their candidate, are entirely UNQUALIFIED to lead this country. I hope they DO stay home on election day…and continue to stay home UNTIL THEY GROW UP. America doesn’t need or want them.

True Truth,
People know they want something different and most can clearly define it. You can’t expect a 20 secon soundbite to cover all the things people want changed about the current state of affairs.
Leadership and willingness to hear the people is what made Obama the candidate of change. I can’t wait ’til he wins the GE.
Obama ’08!
PLUS:
Who cares what Bob Johnson thinks. The voters in Montana had the last word. Obama won Montana with a 16% margin over Clinton!

For the HRC supporters threatening to vote McSame if she does not get the VP, SHAME ON YOU SINCE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE “DEMS” FIRST! Secondly, guess what, she WON’T ACCEPT the VP because the clintons “DO NOT WANT TO RELEASE THE FINANCIAL RECORDS” on bubba’s “foundation” and all the RAMIFICATIONS that would entail; possibly criminal sanctions due to the many illegalities of foreign money acceptance involved. No one can accept the VP without being fully VETTED and the clintons refuse to be included in VETTING So if you are not TRUE DEMS and persist in threats, then continue on your path of destruction and act just like HRC throwing temper tantrums like children and your leader HRC, but don’t expect to be rewarded because children are NOT REWARDED FOR BAD BEHAVIOR! Stop threatening! When you vote McSame remember you lives will remain “stagnant and the war will continue ad infinitum”! That will be on your collective conscience, not the Obama supporters!

sen. clinton does not need to be obama
behind the scenes workhorse vp.
I hope she either continues her good work in the senate. or goes and works with CGI.
sen can do a lot more good with cgi for the world that obama will during his four years.

I hope Hillary will not be Obama’s VP.
She has found her niche with women,blue-collar workers, Hispanics, etc. and can serve people better in ways other than the VP position.
Who knows what kind of presidency Obama will have? With his shady past, the DNC, and the billionaires controlling everything.
The White House is now and will probably be more corrupt with Obama.
Hillary should distance herself from Obama and the DNC.

enough with the sexism comments already. Hillary won more votes from the double X’s because of reverse sexism than she lost because of sexism. For every “pantsuit” or “sweetie” comment, another hundred thousand women ran to the voting booths. Without sexism, Hillary wouldn’t have come close.

Bob Johnson, you can have Hillary Clinton as your VP
OBAMA DOES NOT NEED NOR WANT LIEING HILLARY, NOR DISBARRED BILL, TAKING OVER THE WHITE HOUSE
OBAMA SAID CHANGE, HILLARY IS THE PROBLEM IN THE WHITE HOUSE, BEHIND
CLOSE DOOR, TRYING TO MAKE FRAUDUAL DEAL

Two of my comments today were “gone in 60 seconds”. I’m sorry, I didn’t know this was a pro Obama blog and that the comments too strongly in favor of Hillary were being censored. I will just have to find a blog on Fox News, who as it turns out, is really fair & balanced and the only news network to give Hillary fair coverage.
