The End Is Near? Clinton’s “Fact Hub” Not Updated In Almost Two Weeks
Sen. Hillary Clinton’s press shop has run a tough war room effort. One of its hallmarks has been its "Fact Hub," which purportedly to correct the record whenever the media or Sen. Barack Obama made assertions the Clinton campaign found wanting.
No one has posted anything on Fact Hub since May 22.
Hmmm.
Surely it can’t be that the Clinton camp thinks the media and Obama have been completely accurate since then?

I agree.
Even in the ABC debate where the Bosnia controversy was brought up. Obama could’ve said “she lied” or she’s “deceiving the American people”.
Obama’s reponse

She jumped on the Ayers, Wright, Bitter comment controversies.
Obama had a clean campaign and now he’s the democratic nominee.

The Obamarama is about to run off the rails. His wife Michelle is apparently in a video railing against whitey America. Check out No Quarter site. Yikes, Obama is toast. He’s toast anyway. Obama is unqualified and unelectable. The Dems would be foolish to nominate him.
Hillary must stay in this race through the DNC convention in August where she can and must prevail. The delegates are not “pledged” to anyone and can vote for whomever they wish. Their job is to nominate the most electable candidate for the general election. That candidate is and shall remain Hillary Clinton.
It’s Hillary or McCain. Country first, party second.
Make your voice heard. Call the DNC, call the delegates, call the DNC rules committee and demand they count ALL the votes of Michigan and Florida. The Dem party cannot be in the business of disenfranchising voters. 1/2 vote? 1/2 person? You’ve got to be kidding me. It’s worse than the ole Jim Crow laws where blacks were considered 3/4 a person. This is not the Dem party that I know. The voter disenfranchisement, sexism, classism, and racism practiced by Obama, his campaign and his nasty supporters must not be condoned. It’s Hillary or McCain. This is a fight for the heart and soul of the Dem party.
Count ALL the votes! Check out womenforfairpolitics.com and sign the petition for Hillary to take it to the convention, NOW! Thank you.

I respect Hillary and her supporters but you also need to respect the voters that support Obama. You accuse Obama supporters of thinking Obama is the messiah. But you have put Hillary up on some pedestal like she is a goddess. This foolishness needs to stop. Some say that Obama wouldn’t be where he is if he weren’t AA. But Hillary would not be where she is if her last name wasn’t Clinton. I will support either one because it’s time for a dem to win. And please don’t tell me that you are a dem and will never vote for Obama. I could never vote for McCain because I don’t agree with his policies. And the Supreme Court is very important. You can vote Obama out in 4 years but we are stuck with the justices for life. I think you guys are screwing the country by voting McCain.

pp, the court is balanced right now just barely. But I think 2 will be retiring within the next 4 years. McCain wants to appoint conservative judges. Some will be voted against but in the end he will get his way just like Bush did. I can’t take a chance with that. 4 years is nothing compared to what a conservative Supreme Court will do to us.

GO, Hillary! Take it to the convention!
Posted by: Vickie | June 3, 2008, 12:38 am 12:38 am
FIGHT ON, Hillary. For the people.
FACT: Superdelegates don’t have votes until the convention. Until then, they have preferences.
FACT: The Clinton campaign reserved its right to appeal the RBC’s Michigan decision to the Credentials Committee. A favorable outcome of that appeal will change the number of delegates needed for the nomination. Until that appeal is heard, no one should be declaring victory based on 2118.
FACT: Barack Obama stole (and I mean that literally) 59 delegates in Michigan: 4 from Hillary Clinton and 55 from Uncommitted, a legally recognized presidential status. In a tactical error, Obama took his name off the ballot, and now a handful of political hacks at the DNC have set aside fundamental principles of election and constitutional law to effectively reverse his voluntary action.
FACT: These same RBC hacks lecture us disenfranchised Democrats about playing by the rules, but only when the rules favor His Highness Barack. (Case in point: the rules give my candidate Hillary Clinton the absolute right and authority to stay in the race and to take her case to the convention floor no matter how many superdelegates are bought “declare.”)
FACT: Caucuses are unfair. If Michigan delegates can be re-allocated using hokey-pokey methods, certainly it would be reasonable to use the results of actual primary elections in states which had caucuses to “correct” the delegate tallies so that they are a fairer reflection of the peoples’ will.
FACT: Hillary Clinton has won more popular votes than Barack Obama. And, yes, that includes Michigan. You can’t have it both ways — if Obama wants delegates from Michigan, then the popular vote counts.
FACT: Hillary Clinton is the stronger candidate — by miles — against John McCain. She has assembled a demographic coalition that has a 100% chance of winning the Presidency for the Democratic Party. She can win crucial states in the general election like Florida and West Virginia that Obama doesn’t have a prayer of winning.
FACT: Hillary Clinton still out-polls both Barack Obama and John McCain in Electoral Vote surveys even in a climate of overt misogyny and sexism, even though the media has stopped treating her like a contender, and even in the face of criticism by officials in her own party for continuing to participate in the election.
FACT: Barack Obama’s momentum has been sliding downhill since February, even though he has enjoyed the most lopsided media coverage of any presidential candidate in history, and even though he has spent more money, up to 4 times the amount, on advertising than Hillary Clinton. There is no indication that Obama’s trajectory will recover anytime soon, especially not given the treasure chest of ammunition he and his wife have produced for the GOP and 527’s.
FACT: Barack Obama — the candidate who promised to transcend race — threw the race card around in this campaign without shame and with no apparent regard for the long-term consequences to the reputations of two loyal public servants, the Clintons, or the long-term impact on society.
FACT: Barack Obama, if not directly, suggested that white voters who chose Hillary Clinton over him by 30 and 40-point margins in some states did so because of racism, when HE is the one hanging out with, praying, and doing god-only-knows-what-else with his band of racist friends and preachers.
FACT: A huge portion (some polls say up to 50%) of Hillary Clinton supporters would not vote for Barack Obama in the general election, regardless of whether Clinton endorses him or campaigns for him.
FACT: Hillary Clinton will not only be a superior general-election candidate for the Democrats, she will be the best President our country could elect during these perilous and serious times.
On behalf of millions of Hillary Clinton supporters, I want to be sure that she knows where we stand.

Attention, B O maniacs:
Ask not what we could do to assist your leader; ask what HE could do to help our country…..
And ask NOTHING in the way of assistance to BO from any of HILLARY’s followers!!
For why would Hillary want to have ANYTHING to do with OBAMA?
Let someone else be his toady.
Let someone else do his dirty work.. like earmarking another $15,000,000.00 for his church while the state of Illinois is required to have the highest sales tax in the country in order to pay its bills!
Let someone else clean up B O’s messes when he makes gaffe upon gaffe….like miscounting the states in the Union.. or mis-calling a Premier a President… or mis-specifying something as UNIVERSAL Health Care when it doesn’t quite fit the universal part!
Let someone else start to rename the president “Messiah” as he fawns in his idolatry and dramatizes his tough life and experiences by again tossing all the pastors from his life as pictures of him in high-lighted halos mysteriously ignite in the heavenly night.
(And if you have doubts about THAT one, hurry over to Jake’s “THERE IS BORN TO YOU THIS DAY IN THE CITY OF CHICAGO A SAVIOUR” blog).
And just forget about separation of church and state!
Or traits…. like patriotism… which should exude from a Presidential figure.
Hillary loss will be OUR loss!
I will vote for her if I can;
if not it’ll be McCain.
Country before party.
COUNT ON IT!!!

Wanita, a lot of your ‘facts’ are opinion.
But mostly it comes down to this: do you want every voter to be counted?
If you do, then Clinton loses the popular vote – you have to count those who expressed their preference through caucuses too if you really want to count everybody. You also have to find some way not disenfranchising those who voted ‘uncommited’ in Michigan. You also should consider (as much as you can) those who didn’t turn out because they were told, repeatedly, including by Sen. Clinton, that their votes ‘weren’t going to count for anything’. Anything else boils down to “I want every voter to be counted, except those ones.”
Do you want the rules to be followed?
If you do, the Clinton has lost, fair and square. Obama has more pledged delegates and more declared superdelegates. By the rules, neither Florida nor Michigan should count, but, again by the rules, they can be counted up to half-a-vote (there has to be some penalty for those states breaking party rules, otherwise imagine the chaos next time round…). But either way, Obama wins.
The only way you can argue that Clinton has lost unfairly is by some fairly tortured logic and an unhealthy dose of hypocrisy.

Against a womans right to choose:
“John McCain believes Roe v. Wade is a flawed decision that must be overturned”
“However, the reversal of Roe v. Wade represents only one step in the long path toward ending abortion”
Against Ellen being allowed to have her love recognised:
“The family represents the foundation of Western Civilization and civil society and John McCain believes the institution of marriage is a union between one man and one woman.”
Against stem cell research:
“For this reason, John McCain opposes the intentional creation of human embryos for research purposes. To that end, Senator McCain voted to ban the practice of “fetal farming,” making it a federal crime for researchers to use cells or fetal tissue from an embryo created for research purposes. Furthermore, he voted to ban attempts to use or obtain human cells gestated in animals. Finally, John McCain strongly opposes human cloning and voted to ban the practice, and any related experimentation, under federal law.”

Kate, I have attempted to respond several times. At least for the moment my response is back up on the “Disenfranchised” blog.
Posted by: James Danley | June 3, 2008, 8:50 am 8:50 am
Kate – So your saying McCain supports Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness!!
Lets take a look at what Obama supports -
Another 1.50 tax on gas! – Obama supports
Obama supports allowing a child that is born already to be aborted -
Obama supports groups that are racists
Obama supports terrorist groups
Obama plays the race card continuously
Obama is against Liberty
Obama is a Socialist!!
So kate – Roe v wade is bad law because it was unconstitutional for the courts to do it. This is a state issue.
But lets go to Hypocrisy – you libs want to kill unborn or partially born Innocent children, but want to cuddle and treat rapists and murders with kid gloves and not give the death penalty to them!!
I always thought the libs were for the poor and middle class, but the gas taxes they want to raise, the tolls they raised, the cost of public transportation they raised, who is affected by this? The poor and middleclass!! What Hytpocrits.
I use to think libs were a joke, but now I see that they are dangerous even more so then the terrorists, because instead of just taking the libs also want to take out liberty and pursuit of happiness!!
Vanessa – Are you serious, so it is ok for Obama to be a racist, what would you say if he was white and a republican and just change the words from white to black, you people will be calling for his head!!
We know you like KKK members , you keep electing Byrd in WV!!
Funny thing is coming out that libs cheat on their taxes more then conservatives, thats why they do not mind paying more, the libs do not pay!!
Posted by: spock | June 3, 2008, 9:36 am 9:36 am
kate – also just lkike there is no scientific proof of global warming, actually though there is to the contrary.
Do not read lib talking points-
Fetus Stemcell have no proof to solve anything, that is why private companies do not finance it, now adult stem cells do. But anyhow McCain is against Tax payer funded, and it should not be tax payer funded, it should be privatized!!
You libs complain about the drug companies making money, so why should tax payer money go do something just for the drug companies to get profit!!

Unless Sen. Obama and/or Sen. McCain break from tradition and announce their selections early, we will have to wait until the conclusion of their conventions to learn who they want as their running mates. So if they hold to the tradition, we are going to have three months of “24/7″ speculation on the cable news networks. Normally VP selections don’t really make that much of a difference in a general election. But this general election could be a very interesting exception to the rule!
SEN. OBAMA — It all depends on whether Sen. Obama wants to pick someone who is more middle of the road to attract Independents or go slightly further right and try to attract liberal Republicans — i.e. Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE) or even Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-ME) or Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME). But I just don’t see Sen. Obama selecting a Republican as that or going too far from the center within his own Party might alienate his liberal base. He might make the attempt for Party unity by selecting Sen. Clinton, but I would give that about a 25% chance. With the emotions still very high regarding how the sexism charge, whether perceived or actual, played out in the primary, my guess is that Sen. Obama will likely select a woman. While most politicos have California as a lock for the Democrats in November, he could seal the deal for the state with Sen. Feinstein (D-CA). Or he might try to pick away at the Republican hold on the South by selecting Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA). But selecting another senator might be a liability. He probably needs to select a governor. Someone like Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D-MI) would fit that bill — and help with the Michigan vote as well. While I personally believe that Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM) is his strongest running mate, Gov. Granholm would make an interesting choice.
SEN. McCAIN — Will Sen. McCain alienate the conservative Republicans by attempting to attract moderate Democrats and Independents by selecting someone like Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-CT)? Will Sen. McCain distance himself even further from the Bush Administration, by not selecting anyone connected with the Administration? OR since he is already running as a strong supporter of the War in Iraq, will he make the bold move and select someone like Sec. of State Condoleezza Rice? Sen. McCain could attempt to attract disenchanted Democratic women by selecting a moderate woman like Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-ME) or Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME)? Selecting another white male — i.e. Mitt Romney — will certainly make race an issue in the general election. So Sen. McCain could select an Hispanic or an African-American in an attempt to lessen the race card during the general election. I personally believe Dr. Condoleezza Rice would be Sen. McCain’s strongest running mate. But she has already stated that she does not want to run for public office. Unfortunately that is likely the case for Colin Powell, who would also make a very strong running mate.
We shall see in due time!

Power2people, to me it would require so much more faith to NOT believe in God than it does to believe in God. That is because when you consider the expansiveness of the universe, the billions of stars and planets spanning billions of light years in all directions, AND the incredible intricacies of living organisms here on earth, and DON’T believe that God is the creator, then you have to believe that this all came about by pure random chance. As if that wasn’t enough, you also have to include the fact that without the earth’s specific rotation and revolvement around the sun that life here on earth would be unsustainable. I just don’t see how all of this could have come about by chance.

AP is reporting that Sen. Clinton is making it known that she is open to being Sen. Obama’s running mate. My previous estimate of a 25% chance of an Obama-Clinton ticket may well have just gone up to at least 50%.
Posted by: James Danley | June 3, 2008, 4:01 pm 4:01 pm
An Obama-Clinton ticket might unite the Democratic Party. But I can already see the Republican ads using Sen. Clinton’s video clips blasting Sen. Obama on his lack of experience and not being ready on day one. Sen. Obama has defeated Sen. Clinton, does he really want to place her — and Bill — right back into the limelight? That is going to be a really tough decision!

The above was posted by James Danley. James, we humans know nothing about the universe. God is an idea created by the human race. If you need God to explain the universe, then who or what is responsible for the existence of God. We are tiny ants confronted by the fact of existence. Don’t allow yourself to be brainwashed – think for yourself.
