The Note: New Role for Clintons: Obama Supporters, Not Bashers

ABC News’ Rick Klein Reports in Thursday’s Note:

With the third branch set to assert itself anew (a gunshot sounding Sen. Barack Obama’s move to the political center?) — quick — who’s the most important Democrat in the country at this precise moment?

That’s a trick question — since there’s a two-way tie for first. One more hint: Obama is in third place.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton gets two days back in the center of the action Thursday and Friday — and former President Bill Clinton gets his own measure of chatter despite not being on the continent this week.

Amid all the talk of hurt feelings and unpaid bills, it’s worth considering the favors the Clintons have done for Obama: a gracious exit, opened doors with donors, and mostly (do not undervalue this) just disappearing in the critical period when Obama needed the stage to himself to frame the race against Sen. John McCain.

That period ends Thursday, with two speeches by Sen. Clinton (to a nurses’ association and a Latino group — neither a venue chosen by accident) in advance of the evening event for big money folks at the Mayflower Hotel.

Read the rest of The Note — and get all the latest on the 2008 election, Congress, the White House and the wide world of politics every day — from Rick Klein by bookmarking this link.

It’s been a while since the Clintons campaigned for anyone else — and if they’re rusty, the smart folks with the tape recorders and laptops will notice.

Know that we are permanently in a zone where a few snarky comments from a few disgruntled denizens of Camp Clinton are all it will take to restart the old fires — to say nothing of potential for lukewarm comments from the Clintons’ themselves (how many reporters do you think will be counting Obama references in Sen. Clinton’s speeches Thursday?).

Pity Bob Barnett: The Washington super-lawyer is helping Obama and Sen. Clinton negotiate “a thicket of complicated issues, like how to repay Mrs. Clinton’s campaign debt and her role at the Democratic convention,” Adam Nagourney and Jeff Zeleny write in The New York Times.

Why can’t they write something nice for a change about the Clinton’s. The MSM got what they wanted, she’s out. Who really cares how many times she mentions Obambi’s name? IF I were her I wouldn’t mention him at all!

Every word and gesture and future actions by the Clintons will be parsed to death. Outside of getting the working class women vote and a boost in a few Hillary states, the Obama will be hating every minute of distraction and veiled hostility…

Did you mention that McCain in the last 15 months has moved to the center, back to the right, back to the center, back to the right and is now currently resting in the center…

Obama is embarrassing.
He is so cocky I can not stand watching him and his creepy outlooks.
His friends are wierd or scary and so are his views.
Obama should really step down.

As a woman, a Democrat and a firm supporter of Democracy, this has been the worst media coverage of a primary election ever. Also, I am totally embarrassed of Senator Obama for his morals, his associates and his views of the United States.
I have never seen such poor and biased reporting by media in my entire life.. 20 million Clinton supporters have had it with the media and injustice of this whole nominating system. This was not reporting, it was “Clinton” bashing. I felt like I was hearing headlines from the “Enquirer” . Slews of media networks followed each other down a lane of inaccurate reporting and vicious attacks against the entire Clinton family. The coverage swayed the public and government superdelegates into their “Obama Mania” corner.
For the first in my life, I am completely embarrassed of our country and it’s reporting tactics. The pundits were cruel towards our First Lady and the entire world watched.
I also cannot understand how Obama could not be embarrassed.
How dare he ask the American people to stand with him and defend his ugly beliefs from his church (Trinity United Church of Christ), his radical and anti Semitic friends and his far left views of life.
How dare Senator Obama not apologize to Senator Clinton for the cruel remarks screamed in pews of his church about whites, Senator Clinton and President Cllinton.
Instead of apologizing to the entire Clinton family, Senator Obama had regrets about having to distance himself from his church and his radical anti American buddies and mentors, Reverend Wright and Father Pflaeger.
Obama has deceived the American people and has used crooked tactics since the beginning of the primary season.
Obama kept Michigan and Florida delegates in his pocket the whole time to sway voters and superdelgates, to give himself bragging rights. “I have the most delegates. I am the winner! We have to follow the rules. Florida and Michigan will vote for me.”
Over 300 delegate and over 2 million people. He only won this primary because the fourth largest state has never been heard properly. The popular vote was ignored and the delegates were never added in full. The media displayed inaccurate maps with incorrect numbers to give Obama a free push.
For Senator Obama to accept this decision about not seating Florida and Michigan is especially troubling. How can a leader whose message is one of “unity” agree to support a decision that strips Senator Clinton of delegates and Florida voters of their voices?
I wonder whether the price the Democratic party will pay in the general election was worth Obama’s very poor decision to ignore Michigan and Florida voters. Millions don’t think so.
There are also blocs of voters that Democrats need to win that Senator Obama is having a major problem with:
White Male Voters
White Women Voters
Catholic
Rust Belt Voters
Latino Voters
Cuban Voters
Swing State Voters
Jewish Voters
Big states
Women
Lunch Bucket Voters
Older voters
Catholic Voters
Evangelicals
Florida and Michiga
He couldn’t close the deal on the Democratic base: Ohio, Michigan, Florida, California, NY, NJ, Pennsylvania, Indiana, West Virginia, Texas and Kentucky
Barak Hussein Obama has African Americans and elitists in his pocket. Doesn’t sound like a winning ticket to me.
This is the first time in my life, along with my entire community, that I will be voting for a Republican or as an Independent.
Senator Clinton does not need Obama. Obama needs Clinton. I pray that she will not accept a VP role if he offered the position.
Obama is a complete embarrassment to this country as a potential candidate for the President of the United States.

Posted by: Al from NJ | June 26, 2008, 9:40 am 9:40 am

This primary was the worst coverage ever by all media outlets. It was unfair to the Clinton family. Now the Democrats have a weak and inexperienced nominee because of the sexist views of Senator Clinton and the poor biased reporting favoring Senator Obama.
I won’t miss reading another treatise by a man or woman, of the left or right, who says that sexism has had not even a teeny-weeny bit of influence on the course of the Democratic campaign. To hint that sexism might possibly have had a minimal role is to play that risible “gender card.”
Most of all, I will not miss the silence.
I will not miss the deafening, depressing silence of Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean or other leading Democrats, who to my knowledge (with the exception of Sen. Barbara Mikulski of Maryland) haven’t publicly uttered a word of outrage at the unrelenting, sex-based hate that has been hurled at a former first lady and two-term senator from New York.
Among those holding their tongues are hundreds of Democrats for whom Clinton has campaigned and raised millions of dollars. Don Imus endured more public ire from the political class when he insulted the Rutgers University women’s basketball team.
Would the silence prevail if Obama’s likeness were put on a tap-dancing doll that was sold at airports? Would the media figures who dole out precious face time to these politicians be such pals if they’d compared Obama with a character in a blaxploitation film? And how would crude references to Obama’s sex organs play?
There are many reasons Clinton is lost the nomination contest, some having to do with her strategic mistakes, others with the groundswell for “change.” But for all Clinton’s political blemishes, the darker stain that has been exposed is the hatred of women that is accepted as a part of our culture.
This has been a disgrace for Democrats and to date the DNC had minimal remarks about the issue. They should be outraged.
I am saddened and angry. My entire community will not be voting for Obama this November.

Posted by: Al from NJ | June 26, 2008, 9:43 am 9:43 am

Hillary & Bill w/dance just enough to say they did, for Obama, in 2012; When after 04 yr’s of a John McCain Presidency; the DNC will have SO MUCH MUD on their faces that they will get on bended knees to beg EITHER Hillary or Wm Blythe Rodham Clinton to represent them! And B.H.M.Obama, he’ll be lost forever in ultra liberal land just like Kerry & Gore. Just wait & see (:>)

Posted by: Mark | June 26, 2008, 9:43 am 9:43 am

Al from NJ – Do all Americans a favor and don’t vote. You are messed up in the head. You and all the other morons who won’t even consider voting for Obama because his name is just one letter off from Osama. How old are you people? Over the age of 10? Your argument is ridiculous. Why is Obama so ahead of McCain in most every poll if so many people won’t vote for him? He won fair and square and the MSM didn’t sway the primaries in his direction. It’s the way the primaries played out and Michigan and Florida will be represented at the Convention. No one will be disenfranchised (except you Obama haters who will not vote for him regardless of whether the Clintons ask you to or not), simply because he isn’t the race you would prefer him to be. He’s not playing the race card, you are!!

Posted by: geecee | June 26, 2008, 9:54 am 9:54 am

Hey geecee – I don’t care what his name is, I’m still not voting for BO, the person. And I wouldn’t get to excited about those polls. Remember who they favored big time before the primary started and it sure wasn’t BO. But then the DNC had a big say in the outcome too.

Posted by: rockthebleachers | June 26, 2008, 10:01 am 10:01 am

Unfortunately, all of your hateful rhetoric concerning Rev. Wright is falling on deaf ears – or blind eyes – whichever. There is nothing new out there that will change anyone’s mind about Obama. Simply put, you wouldn’t vote for him if he was proven to be the most Christian man on the planet. You don’t like him and try to justify your prejudice by claiming he is a Muslim – and so what if he was? All Muslims aren’t terrorists as you would like to believe. But keep your paranoia – that’s all you’ve got.

Posted by: geecee | June 26, 2008, 10:05 am 10:05 am

Get over it all ready. All this talk about hurt feelings, gracious or non-gracious exits, he said, she said, democrats pandering to other democrats, smoothing of ruffled feather is exactly why the Democrats cannot move forward. Utter nonsense! Why can’t you all just shut up and let us get on to the business on hand – the Presidential Campaign.

Posted by: Terri | June 26, 2008, 10:08 am 10:08 am

The Clintons don’t do favors for anyone. Stop kidding yourself, they looked at the political landscape and decided it was in their own best interests to cooperate. That’s the only reason you’ll see them supporting Obama, and I will be the support will wind up tepid. Obama is going to have to win this on his own, uphill all the way, the same way he won the primaries. You go Obama.

Dear Marie– Honey, anyone who voted for Bush in ’04 should really just stay home in November. You have seriously damaged your country, your neighbors, and the entire world with that vote. Whether from ignorance, being naive, or being so rich you don’t care about others, your vote has done quite a lot of harm.

Posted by: Kathleen | June 26, 2008, 10:14 am 10:14 am

I’m voting for John McCain.
1)He’s a strong supporter of continuing
our ongoing Bush victory in Iraq.
2)He’s against those slu**y women having abortions and immoral gay marriages.
3)He’ll keep the Bush tax cuts that have made our country prosperous.
4)He’ll have a rational policy for guest workers.

I just can’t seem to understand why there is all this hostilitiy towards the clintons, yes he cheated on his wife, but he also led the country during really good economic growth and wealth, and information / tech breakthroughs. Dubbya is the idiot.
Clintons can be self centered and arrogant, but give the woman some credit, she just LOST on the presidential campaign, and now she’s got to endorse the other guy… hardly fair from her point of view.

Posted by: mike from cincinnati ohio | June 26, 2008, 10:44 am 10:44 am

What “gracious exit?” I don’t recall seeing or hearing that. And these other lunatic comments posted here, raving on and on about what terrible thing have happened to the Clintons, need to come back to earth. The Clintons didn’t get a raw deal, they created their own mess. Yes, they have some attributes, but honesty, morality and ethics are not among them. Sometimes those things actually count for something in politics, as well as life. Rave on.

Posted by: Douglas Gambrell | June 26, 2008, 10:44 am 10:44 am

McCain is not a rational choice for any seriously legitimate progressive or conservative. As a progressive you would be ceding a woman’s right to choose to a man who will, to appear to the right wing fanatics, appoint judges who will eliminate a woman’s right to choose. For Conservatives, you will be voting for a man who has spent his life riding the coattails of his father and his wife, a man who if he were not a legacy admission at the Naval Academy, would have been expelled. Instead despite spending most of his time in a drunken stupor, living off borrowed time on his father’s legacy, destroying more military aircraft than any cadet, he was subsequently shot down in Vietnam and sung like a canary to the opposition for preferred treatment. He returned home to a wife who waited for him, saw that she herself had been in an accident and was no longer the beauty queen he remembered and he summarily divorced his loyal wife and as a male golddigger went shopping for a rich connected wife, which he found in Cindy McCain. JOHN MCCAIN IS NOT A MAN. McCain’s legacy as a war hero is as fictional as his character. This is a man who will prostitute himself to the most powerful forces and engage in political grandstanding to achieve his ultimate goal. McCain has NO CORE and he is BEYOND OLD, is dangerously unstable and not of sound mind making him clearly UNFIT to be our President.

If were the Clintons, I would not want to be involved in the Obama campaign more for the reason that Obama is unsuccessful, his supporters will blame the Clintons. On the other hand, if Obama succeeds, the Clintons will not be credited to the role they playedto ensure that victory. Obama supporters will not acknowledge that the forces greater than they are have brought their magic wand to seal the victory. They have tried so hrad to throw “momma” out of the train by lying against the Clintons

You guys are hilarious. The republicans have done everything in their power to destroy the Clintons. They had no professional issues to attack them on so they found a personal one (Lewinsky) and tried to gut him with it. They impeached him, shamefully disrespected him in the inquiry, they besmudged his name for an act (though wrong) was between he and his wife. And Hillary has been in their cross hairs almost as much and you clowns, so-called Hillary supporters say you will vote for them over Obama. Get one thing clear, Obama had tons and tons of dirt he could’ve thrown at her but he didn’t. Even as she and Bubba jumped on the Rev. Wright band wagon, even when she and her husband and staff were perpetuating lies about him being muslim, and Bill playing the race card, he never stooped to attack them back, and all of you know it but you hate him anyway. Hate him more than the people who spent their careers trying to destroy her and her husband. Your hate is so strong you women would give up your bodily rights the have the government tell you what to do with your bodies. You will give up a universal health care system, tuition assistance for your kids. You would allow the next three supreme court appointees to be right-wing radicals.
The bad new is that people like this exist, the good news is most people have much more intelligence and common sense. Just like Obama smashed Hillary (even though she fought dirty) he will also smash McCain, and the smashing has begun as he leads by double digits. He will win with or without the help of a few ignorant, close-minded, uneducated, bitter, bitter, bitter, people…..GOBAMA 08!!!…WHOAAAHH!!
Love it or leave people

I still can’t see why Clinton supporters would throw everything away to vote for McCain. Clinton and Obama have virtually identical policies in every area – McCain represents the antithesis to the America that Clinton supporters were fighting for the in first place. Are you really so in love with your precious Hilary that you’d cut off your nose to spite your face? You guys need to get your priorities straight. The world can’t take 4 more years of Bush – if McCain’s elected, the economy tanks, we get into another 100 years of war in the middle east (next stop Iran!), the ice caps melt and we all die – truth, point blank! To all the voters who vote based on personality and not on policy – get your heads out of your backsides. If America continues its downward spiral, we’ll have the Clintonians to thank come November.

Posted by: Bane | June 26, 2008, 12:05 pm 12:05 pm

Bane – You have it wrong, they’re not flipping to vote for McCain because they love HC, it’s because they hate Obama, there’s a difference. And it’s not a personality issue for them it’s a race issue, they’re just too cowardly to admit it. But it’s fine. It was a pleasant surprise for me to see in the primary that this breed of people are now in the minority. Let them switch to ANOTHER losing team as they desperately scramble and watch as their worst nightmare comes true…..GOBAMA!!!

obama lemmings sound A LOT like dubya lemmings in terms of their passion for their candidate/deity, their ignorance towards the candidate’s flaws, their inability to see their candidate as anything other than divine, and their quick transition to hatred, racism and sexism when others do not agree with them or their candidate……America does not need another such cult

Posted by: chris | June 26, 2008, 12:35 pm 12:35 pm

John McCain’s life experience has earned him a solid national reputation as someone who can serve as the nation’s commander in chief, with 80% saying he can handle the responsibilities of this important role. Barack Obama lags well behind on the same measure, but does pass the 50% public confidence threshold.

Al from NJ says:
“Obama has deceived the American people and has used crooked tactics since the beginning of the primary season.”
Obama is a master at rhetoric. He knows very well how to pander, how to say the right things at the right time. Then, he “flip-flops” and with arrogance, acts as if it’s ok, because he is Obama.
I know Americans want change, I want it. I know 8 years of GW Bush is more than enough, and I can say this since I voted for him. I also understand that many people are trying to align McCain with Bush which is not true.
Obama has the pro-mainstream media on his side, who like someone has stated, is comparable to the “Enquirer”. Regardless, with Obama’s flip flopping and shallow resume’, he does not have the experience, knowledge, or tenacity to be the President of the United States. I see him being vetted more each day and I’m glad.
I applaud Dr. Dobson and Ralph Nader for taking a stand against Obama….there will be others, many others that will take the same stand. Even though Obama is outspending McCain 6 to 1, has all the media in his pocket, McCain is tied with him at 45% according to Gallup. This is a staunch realization that America does not want Obama and is waking up.
I want Obama and his supporters to be overconfident and think he will just waltz into the White House. That will just make John McCain’s victory that much sweeter in November!

I agree with you, there is power in numbers. I think you are right, the only two on CNN with any credibility are Lou Dobbs and Glen Beck. I don’t watch Fox, so can’t comment there. CNN is very pro-obama, especially Jack Cafferty who literally makes me sick. He hates the Clintons, hates Bush, hates McCain, and loves to suck up to Obama. However, when asked why he supports Obama, he stammers and stutters, and can’t give an answer. Go figure…..empty suit, no substance….which is Obama’s theme for his campaign these days!

Posted by: LOL | June 26, 2008, 1:37 pm 1:37 pm

For the life of me, I cannot understand the intense hatred toward Obama from some – certainly not all – Clinton supporters. If you think he’s inexperienced, or too liberal, fine. Those are valid objections. But the “messiah, cult, marxist, deity, muslim, scary, weird,” line of attack says everything about them, and nothing about Obama. As an Obama supporter who would have voted for Hillary without hesitation if she were the nominee, I think a lot of HRC supporters are converting disappointment into hatred. Please don’t punish the rest of the nation by supporting McCain – who has a long record of opposing everything Hillary stands for – simply to “stick it” to Obama. As Hillary herself said, “the stakes are too high.”

Posted by: godblessusa | June 26, 2008, 1:37 pm 1:37 pm

@ godblessusa:
I don’t think its so much hatred for Obama that Clinton supporters are voting for McCain, rather, its the way that Obama treated and “trashed” Hillary in the primaries. Added to this is the fact that since winning the nomination, Obama has become very arrogant, is now literally “sucking” up to Hillary, and continues to “flip-flop” daily on major issues. He says what he thinks America wants to hear at the time, but never has a definite stance on any of the issues. Obama and McCain are tied at 44% according to Gallup. If Obama has the presidency locked up as many analyst say, and is outspending Mccain 6 to 1, and has the media in his back pocket, why isn’t he blowing McCain out of the water? The reason is because Americans have become aware of Obama’s shallowness and flip flopping, they are seeing him for what he really is…an empty suit with no substance!

I don’t hate the guy! To many of us Obama is a candidate with no experience, and judgments. Also, it’s not about race or sex at all. It’s about who is the most qualified to be the next President. A check of credential shows Obama to be severely lacking qualification!
The long fight between Hillary and Obama has dominated news channels for months, therefore, we did not have a chance to see and analyze John McCain’s plans. As a former Hillary’s supporter, I think it’s not too late to learn what John McCain stands for!

Thank you for your absence of vitriol. We have a different take on Obama, which is what elections are all about. People can agree to disagree without being enemies.
As for learning what McCain stands for, which John McCain? The 2000 model, who I thought was terrific, or the 2008 model, who panders and sucks up to the Rove-Cheney wing of the GOP?

OBAMA’S ARTISTRY OF THE AMBIGUOUS – It is not his lack of experience that will work against him.
Obama would be well served by his hired help if it could move him to specifics on numerous critical fronts.
Voters are looking for definitive action while they battle overwhelming increases in costs on all fronts.

Clinton Lies and Deceit:
1) We received sniper fire
2) I did not have sexual relations with that woman
3) Hillary stole, forged documents, and lied during the Water Gate Trial
4)Bill pardons at least three felons before he leaves office
And what are lies Obama has supposedly told??
He didn’t know Rev. Wright was racist – Is that it?
If DISHONESTY were REALLY the reason you hate Obama then there’s no way in hell you’d ever have supported either of the Clintons. I will compare Obamas ‘flip flops’ to McCains in a minute. And this isn’t for the crack pots making the posts here, this is for the intelligent undecided people who just may be taking the bs thats posted here serious.

Geecee,
Obama’s supporters always play the race card when Obama get criticized and you are too ignorant to accept the awful truth! It’s pathetic to see you guys go around accusing people! As I have said that it’s not about race or sex at all. It’s about who is the most qualified to be the next President. To many of us Obama is unfit to be a President! Get the message?

Posted by: LOL | June 26, 2008, 3:39 pm 3:39 pm

It is unbelievable to me. I was a HRC supporter and still respect her but these politicians are nothing but whores. During the whole primary season they bashed each other stating that they each other was not qualified to be president and each other plans were weak and etc, etc and etc. So Obama is selling out by embaracing HRC and asking for donations to pay off her campaign debts so she will endorse and campaign for him because he wants her supporters and vice versa for HRC. Doesn’t this make anybody else sick to thier stomaches. So everything they said about each during the primaries were how they really felt. He sold out to her for votes and she sold out to him to get her debt paid off. What a party.
Makes me sick!

david from texas – You’re a fake, you don’t care how Hillary was treated, you’re a McSame backer it’s your job to fool HC supporters into voting for him.
You say the reason HC supporters won’t vote for Obama…”its the way that Obama treated and “trashed” Hillary in the primaries.” How did he treat her? Exactly what did he do to trash her? We know she hit him with the kitchen sink strategy. We know she perpetuated lies of him being Muslim, and that Bill attempted to scare white people into not voting for him by playing the race card. We also know he never used her lie about sniper fire against her, nor any of the other loads of dirt he could’ve used. So tell me because I may be missing something, how did he trash her? You also stated he’s cocky…please explain that too. I see a lot of general accusations on this post but no substance what so ever.
Hillary supporters…the one’s with sense, there are a lot of frauds out here like ‘dave from texas’. If you listen to them they will be laughing at you come January when you women loose your right to choose, keep losing your sons and daughters in Iraq, and God knows what else when they nominate three far right supreme court judges.

I laugh at how ABC ran the Democrat Primary. You people sure tried to persuade many idiots out there that “the Clintons are racists.” BULLSHIT. As President, Bill Clinton established many programs that helped African Americans of the lower class and even appointed SIX AFRICAN AMERICANS-INCLUDING THE LATE DEMOCRAT PARTY CHAIRMAN CLARENCE BROWN- TO CABINET FIRSTS. Get a life.

O.K. I see now, it took me a minute but my glasses are on now. There are people here who aren’t, like most of us just expressing their political opinion. Some here are fakers, posers, all working for the McSame campaign. I can spot them a mile away. For those who don’t know I will list them.
1.LOL
2.Mary
3. dave from texas
godblessusa – I saw you corresponding with them, don’t waste your time, they have a job to do and rational debate, and or, exchange of ideas is not part of it. This country is doing a nose dive at mock ten right now and it’s their job to make sure we have someone at the helm to insure we plunge head first into the earth.
HC supporters Hillary has said there is a lot at stake, SHE has said the worst thing you can do is vote for McSame. It’s bigger than Obama, it’s bigger than you or me. These guys see you hurt and they are playing on your emotions and attempting to manipulate you while you are at your weakest. It’s a game to them. Don’t allow yourself to be a pawn. Remember Obama NEVER slung mud at Hillary, her supporters may have but he never did. And remember too, the republicans have done everything in their power over the years to destroy the Clinton’s and you support her by voting for those who had her husband impeached on something that had nothing to do with his job? Think about it

Hey you people!
Change is hard, and it doesn’t feel good sometimes; but it is necessary to attempt to bring the country out of the economic ruin, ethical conundrum, and cheap Chinese imports that the US stands for today. Batten down the hatches and get ready for the REVOLUTION! Code Red:] People To The People! It is about time we had a basket ball court in the White House!

Terri, this is the Presidential campaign. Some think it is done, others do not. We have two PRESUMPTIVE nominees. Some people do not like either one. Given the two presumtive choices, McCain is the most experienced and knowledgeable candidate. He is the best of the two. The trouble with “presuming”, however, is that your presumptions might not come true.
McCain 2008
Hillary 2012

“Remember Obama NEVER slung mud at Hillary, her supporters may have but he never did”
Only a dummy would ignore what Obama and his campaign has done to Hillary. (Obviously, you are) You guys can put everything behind after Obama gave Hillary a big kiss by promising to pay off her debt; that’s your own business!
“Obama NEVER slung mud at Hillary” HA HA HA HA HA!!! “Meet me in Ohio” was this slogan familiar to you??? Yes, that was mud slung at Hillary from your savior Obama before Ohio primary! Of course I can go on and on but… why I have to waste my time for an idiot like you!

Posted by: LOL | June 26, 2008, 5:29 pm 5:29 pm

LOL – Are you mad because I busted you? Tell the truth, you are not, nor have you ever been a Hillary supporter. I’ve spent enough time on these posts to know a McSame impersonator when I see one.
Hillary supporters just remember what I said, Hillary has REAL enemies but Barak is not one of them. All of them are on the republican side. This imposter, ‘LOL’ and ‘dave from texas’, the one’s acting so concerned with the treatment of Hillary were, I’m sure, the biggest cheer leaders of the GOP during the Clinton impeachment. Now, when they need you they want to embrace Hillary and her supporters.
Hillary asked her supporters to vote for Obama because his platform, his initiatives, his stance on abortion and the war are all nearly identical to hers. She said her self during the primary that she would’ve wanted him as her vice-president had she won so obviously she has respect for him and truly believes he can do the job, because no one would pick a vice president that they didn’t think could pick up and take the presidents place if need be.

reign,
Do you truly believe that all Hillary’s supporters will line up behind Obama??? Use your wisdom and answer me that question? Don’t use your mind and your brain!
You can call me Ex Democrat, Independent or Republican as you wish. Do I care???? Hell no! I don’t work for John McCain but I wish he will pay me for my comments here. You can see my comments in justsaynodeal and other sites as well. We have submitted the petition to DNC regarding Hillary vs Obama and will continue to let our voices be heard until November.
DENVER! DENVER! DENVER!

THANK YOU HILLARY CLINTON, we’ll take it from here! We WILL stop Obama! We WILL defend Hillary! We WILL take back America!

Posted by: jeep395 | June 26, 2008, 5:50 pm 5:50 pm

LOL – …”Meet me in Ohio”, What the hell is that? Where’s the mud? Is that it??
When exactly did Obama promise to pay off Hillary’s debt? You’re caught in another lie. How could he have promised to pay off her campaign debt when both their lawyers are hammering out an agreement for that right now as we speak. You need to lay off the moon shine, and get out of the trailer park more often…and get a job.

Posted by: reign | June 26, 2008, 5:50 pm 5:50 pm

LOL – You know, they said he needed the latino vote to beat HC but what happened? They said after Wright he couldn’t win. After the Ayers connection they said he can’t possibly win. She started off with a 20 point lead but it didn’t matter. So what I’m saying is even IF you and dave from texas, and all the rest of these bitter, dis-enchanted, hurt, uneducated, dullards don’t vote for him IT DOESN’T MATTER. He’s over come way more against Hillary than he’s going to have to against McSame. Like it or not, you and your little backwards group are irrelevant, there’s not enough of you to stop him, if that were the case HC would be here now but she’s not. Maybe fifty years ago what you and your crack pot friends are trying to do may have worked …but not today. So get ready, call your psychiatrists to get your prozac becasue there will be some depressed people in the trailer parks on Jan, 1 2001……WHOOAAHH!!!! GOBAMA!!! Love it or Leave it baby!!

Posted by: reign | June 26, 2008, 6:03 pm 6:03 pm

I think LOL and jeep have lost it. No one cares about the petition about Hillary. In fact Hillary would be against it. This isn’t about Hillary anymore. It’s about Obama and McCain. And some of the 18 million Hillary supporters may vote McCain but the majority won’t. So give it a rest.

Posted by: erin | June 26, 2008, 6:17 pm 6:17 pm

I won’t vote for Obama is he is the only person on the ballot. No, thank you.

Posted by: hettie | June 26, 2008, 11:04 pm 11:04 pm

Sorry, I meant IF he is the only name on the ballot. And a lot of my friends feel the same way. The Clintons can help him if they want to but it won’t change our minds.

Posted by: hettie | June 26, 2008, 11:06 pm 11:06 pm

Who says that Hillary quit campaigning?I think she’s right here under all these assumed names in the comments. Who cares you guys. I get letters and emails from Hillary all the time. She didn’t quit campaigning. She’s just laying low until they can do the pounce so she can “be there” Make no mistake. Hillary has not quit dreaming about November 4th. This is a trial. It will be tepid. The Obama campaign will probably see how long she can behave herself before it all surfaces.
