Hardball with Chris Matthews counted the number of times Sen. Obama said Thank You – 58 times. He is polite and gracious as well.
Posted by: Gratitude Too | June 5, 2008, 4:56 pm 4:56 pm
I was hoping someone would count the number of I’s in Clinton’s speech. Thanks!
Also half-expecting for the Clinton I’s to be Chris Matthews’s “Big Number” on Hardball!

That is because Clinton is into “me” more than “us”, and that is why “she” lost.

Wonder how many tingles Chris Matthews got from Obama’s speech…..his man-crush.
Let’s talk about how many years Obama has had a relationship with shady people in Chicago.
18 years with Rezko- a convicted felon
20 years with a church that teaches Black Liberation Theology and honors Louis Farrakhan
20 years with RevWright who hates whites and America
20 years with Father Pfleger–who Obama calls his “moral compass”
All of Chicago knew about these people except Obama. Wake up America. Obama has terrible judgement.

Did anyone count the number of breaths each candidate took? That would determine their ability to handle press conferences without passing out or if they are actually alive. The number of eyeblinks is really important to find out if either of them are actually from Zeta Reticuli or just fakes from Sears.
It must be a hard day making the blog quota at ABC with the main target leaving the stage.

Who cares? You are obsessed my friend. Why do you keep trying to beat Hillary down? Because she won more votes yet lost the nomination? That will be the Dems cross to bear in Nov-not Hillary’s. This anger and venom does nothing to help Obama- and only makes you look like a fool. Nice job.

This article was amuch about nothing. Obama is nothing. He certainly is not a democrat. He is a socialist, marxist, communist, racist and liar. That is his handle. Has been all during this election and it will not change. A zebra cannot shed its strips.
McCain will win in November. Obama has destroyed the Democratic Party–nothing but sleaze and slime now.

What about the numer of times Obama gave his sinister, scary stare! How may times was that?

Why are you giving credit to Obama for his speech? Someone else wrote it and he simply read it off the teleprompter. He is an inept politician. Wonder who zips his pants.

anders i remember you were on here saying how we should forgive hillary for her rfk comments,
well if you are able to forgive that and also realize what she meant, then you are surely smart enough to read the whole paragraph of obamas response and see that the media blew those two words out of proportion,
bad choice of words nothing more, but if you want to fight on phrasing, then you better start coaching mclame because this guy cant talk without screwing it all up?

From London
A secret deal being negotiated in Baghdad would perpetuate the American military occupation of Iraq indefinitely, regardless of the outcome of the US presidential election in November. The terms of the impending deal, details of which have been leaked , are likely to have an explosive political effect in Iraq. Iraqi officials fear that the accord, under which US troops would occupy permanent bases, conduct military operations, arrest Iraqis and enjoy immunity from Iraqi law, will destabilise Iraq’s position in West Asia and lay the basis for unending conflict in their country.
But the accord also threatens to provoke a political crisis in the USA. President George W. Bush wants to push it through by the end of next month so he can declare a military victory and claim his 2003 invasion has been vindicated. But by perpetuating the US presence in Iraq, the long-term settlement would undercut pledges by the Democratic presidential nominee Mr Barack Obama to withdraw US troops if he is elected president in November. The timing of the agreement would also boost the Republican candidate Mr John McCain who has claimed the USA is on the verge of victory in Iraq, a victory that he says Mr Obama would throw away by a premature military withdrawal.

Obama isnt going to be a push over, everyone has to go through the vetting process, and bill clinton wouldnt make it through that and neither would hillary.
sorry TJ this wasnt her decision, its his.

When I watch Obama on TV these days, I can only stand it for 2 minutes before I turn to another station. The way he keeps jerking his head back and forth for the teleprompter and his use of his fingers turn me off. He is not a man that comes across as as charimatic but rather like a foolish fool. Poor guy, he just can’t help himself from looking foolish.

I’m glad Hillary has said no to Obama’s VP. Having her on the ticket would cinch a win for him; without her, it will be much more difficult. I told Hillary I’d vote for her at the TOP of the Dem ticket, as an Independent candidate, as McCain’s VP, or as the first candidate of a new “Populist” party.
NObama! If not Hillary, then McCain!

All of the persons who want experience look where it got the United States. These people with computers are blogging and don’t understand that the United States is in horrible shape. Most of the people that have computers /internet access are not that bad off. The biggest thing is that we haven’t had a decent president in the past twenty freaking years. Reagan (helped the rich become richer), Bush I(helped the rich), Clinton (It was great until he wanted more than one woman and made the democratic party a laughingstock), Bush II ( the fine mess that we are in now). So experience didn’t help get us to this point as a weak United States (China is loaning money the US ). We need a leader with a vision and people to make the vision work.

Seems like there’s a lot of angry women in here. You’re gal didnt win, get over it. Quit pouting and trying to hold the DNC hostage with your vote.
You think all those women who suffered for the 19th amendment would be proud of you? Let me help you answer that since you appear to be incapable of sound decision making…they would be disgusted by it. They would wonder why they fought for your right to vote just so you could make a mockery of the voting process.

Number of people Obama will use to pretend seeking VP – 3.
Number of negative comments about Obama picking Hillary – millions.
Look on peoples faces when Obama picks Hillary as VP because of 18 million votes at stake – priceless.

Hillary’s supporters should unite NOW and and PROMISE to vote for McCain.
Remember, if McCain is the President, Hillary will be in a powerful cabinet position. She will implemrent what she stands for. McCain will support her.
We will never miss her leadership in action.
PLEASE, Hillary Democrats, VOTE FOR MCCAIN, if you want Hillary in power.

Hey, Meredith, that’s a smart thing to do. There’s 18 million Hillary people out there. Many of us have headed toward centrist McCain…the stupid Obama robots do not have the educated wits to massage our pain. Instead, in the crucial hours they threw salt on the wound, they’ve lost many of us for good. Don’t make the same mistake. This is the time to laud Hillary and make us feel welcomed…othewise, we can as easily give you the finger and bolt toward a third party candiate.
Posted by: rw | June 5, 2008, 9:30 pm 9:30 pm
Linda S,you are in a fantasy land so stay there if you like but eventually you will have to wake up to the truth.
I can’t wait to see the look on the faces of the Clinton supporters when he announces a VP 100, oh wait, 300 times better than Clinton. So stop dreaming, hoping and praying for something that just will not happen. Barack is an extremely smart man and will select someone who benefit the Democratic party and Clinton ain’t it honey.
Finally people have to realize this is HIS decision and his decision alone. none of us have anything to say about it.
And to those who want to vote with a third party, GO! Run as fast as you can but just don’t complain or whine if we get McCain and things get even worse.
Posted by: Go Obama! | June 5, 2008, 9:47 pm 9:47 pm
RW it appears that you have already left anyway.
However, I don’t doubt that you will be back to the Dem. Party fold once the debates begin and the CONTRASTS between McCain and Obama emerge especially on Iraq, energy and the economy.

TO ALL THOSE WOMEN VOWING TO VOTE FOR MCCAIN TO SPITE OBAMA (see below):
From International Herald Tribune’s Joan Vennochi:
Or, is “sweetie” automatically preferable to John McCain’s response to a female supporter who asked the Arizona senator back in November, “How do we beat the bitch?” As the room erupted in laughter, McCain replied: “That’s an excellent question.”
NOW DOES MCCAIN STILL LOOK MORE APPETIZING LADIES?

I won’t vote for Obama even if he does pick Hillary for VP.

I wouldn’t get so excited about Obama, as he hasn’t won the U.S. Presidency as yet. In fact, I was just reading an article about how Obama will NOT be winning after all, accordingly by the “Kerry Theory” research having come out.
Posted by: Wendy | June 5, 2008, 11:13 pm 11:13 pm
Once again Senator Clinton is showing the whole nation, and the world, what she is made of, proving exactly why the majority of delegates and (just take another poll right now folks) why the country will not support her again.
I feel especially bad for Chelsea – she had some potential to carry on the dynasty.
Posted by: dennis | June 5, 2008, 11:21 pm 11:21 pm
Obama ran an excellent campaign with the help of the DNC and the biased media which in the middle of the race put a blackout curtain shielding us from Hillary news so that just in order to learn if she won and by how much…. we had to go to the BBC!
But the corrupt DNC is broken and the media is fickle and just might wake up before the G E and throw its support to McCain who has actually SAT in the Senate for more that a few months and appeals to the more centrist spectrum of all voters.
Hillary’s supporters were disgusted with the vile, juvenile, ungrammatical off-topic rants aimed at her….. and the venom of them lingers still.
So even if B O claims the nomination (despite his lack of popular votes!) we
feel no compunction to vote for someone who felt it perfectly acceptable…. even PAID for this slander to be slathered throughout the ether….and who has has shown no governing skills thus far.
Country before party!
