There is Born to You This Day in the City of Chicago a Savior

And His name is Barack the Democrat. General election project for Political Punch readers: Let’s keep track of how many Holy images of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, make their way into print. (And bad ones, if any. And of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., let’s keep track as well — photos of him looking heavenly or, conversely, old and feeble.) – jpt UPDATE: To anyone who thinks I am mocking God or religion with this post. I am not. I am mocking the images some in the media are using to portray Sen. Obama. Such as the Reuters photo above. Or this DaVincian New York Magazine image. Or this cover of Rolling Stone. No disrespect towards God or persons of faith intended at all. The jesting is not aimed at religion, God, or Sen. Obama — but rather those pushing these Holy Images of the Illinois senator who is, after all, but a man.

Well I hear the Republicans have the “Whitey” tape. It’s being said that the “whitey” rants are with none other than Louis Farrakhan. All peas in a pod, Wright, Farrakhan, Pfleger, Michelle and Barack. Wonder why Barack scrubbed the NOI spiritual advisers from his website? Hummmm? Uh Oh……
Yeah, he’s a savior alright…..but for whom?

The Democrats cannot unite—there will be no “unity”. To tell the “white”, “woman” to get lost when she has AS MUCH or MORE votes than the other candidate is overwhelmingly sexist. The superdelegates can if they like give their support to Obama and it will end this contest, but at least 17 million Americans will think twice about voting for Obama because he is young, inexperienced, his associations for the last 20 years with people that hate “whites” (I know he didn’t hear anything during all those years in his church), his associations with corrupt people (Rezko for 17 years), I know he didn’t know he was a crook—-and the list just keeps getting bigger and bigger. How can anyone support a man that is a weasel, uses people, can never be held accountable, flip-flops on the issues and continually tells people you didn’t understand what I said “sweetie”. I am not a racist person and actually wanted to see a black man become President, but NEVER this man. Barrack Hussein Obama, it is more than your name, its your character and no matter how slick and charismatic your speeches are you will not be able to sell it to hard working Americans…so if the superdelegates such no “guts” and select you then the Democratic Party will lose an election and much more—Obama will divide this nation!

I always liked the remark I heard a few months ago, (a reporter came up with it, I believe). It was something like this: The combatants are a senator from New York who was born in Illinois, and a senator from Illinois who was born in a manger.
Unfortunately, critical attention on the Chosen One has come way too late. I am thoroughly disgusted.

ARE YOU READY MICHELLE AS FIRST LADY?
The most profound influence in Obama’s life, his wife Michelle, is notoriously less circumspect than her careful husband about where she’s coming from. Her college thesis, which Princeton tried to keep under lock and key, testifies to a race-obsessed worldview. She may have refined it, but she’s never grown out of it.
After four years at one of America’s most esteemed academic institutions, Michelle recoiled at the thought of “further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant.” That the sky has been the limit for her, that she has managed to ride the “periphery” from Princeton to Harvard Law School, to one of the country’s top law firms, and to a plethora of prestigious institutional positions, has not much altered her perspective. Through the windows of her mansion on Chicago’s south side, American society still appears as a caste system.
The United States, she says, is “just downright mean.” Never, prior to her husband’s presidential run, had she had a reason to feel proud of it, she told a campaign throng. But by last November, with Barack’s pursuit of the brass ring catching momentum, she suddenly got plenty proud. And confident: so much so that she was moved to tell MSNBC, “Black America will wake up and get it” — unite and carry him over the finish line.

anne,
obama has divided the dem. party, but he will not divide this nation.
it will be obama and his supporters, and the dem. party superdel. and the msm
against the rest of us.
and the rest of us will win.
the dem party with help of the msm, and dnc bigwigs have taken over the dem. party-and their goal was to beat sen. clinton.
but they will not be able to steal this country.

Anne…you and people like you are the reason we won’t win in Nov. You are so stubborn and set on the fact that according to “Hillarys Math”, pre signing an agreement, that she is winning. Plus even if she does get the nod many of us Oabama supporters will go with her. You are all racists. And that is quite odd since fighting for the rights of a female is so important anf fighting for the rights of another downtrodden group in this country is not.
You are all hippocrts!!

The interesting point that everyone is missing is that any preacher which seems to include all from Obamas church (past church since he waited until he was guaranteed nomination to pull out for the General) are guilty of the biggest mortal sin you could do!!
But then again so are those pushing global Warming!!
By creating higher food costs which now if you read between the lines is being done purposely now before they push through the Destroy America Climate bill in senate, because then they can say it has nothing to do with the costs.
The Dems/lib in the Senate and House are commiting treason with this Global Warming lies especially since there are a lot more scientists that say its a hoax then say it is not, so in Gore’s own words – It is a consensus that Global Warming is not mans fault!!
But the elitists want the poor to die, Global 2000 !!!

connect the dots Rev.Wright…Father Pflager….Michele Obama, their ideology are identically the same.
Look at Michele Obama’s 1985 thesis during her year as a senior at Princeton. She wrotes she writes that “my experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my ‘blackness’ than ever before. I have found that at Princeton no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my White professors and classmates try to be towards me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don’t belong. Regardless of the circumstances under which I interact with Whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be Black first and a student second.” She further suggests that even if she assimilates into white society after Princeton, she will “remain on the periphery of society: never becoming a full participant.” Read furthermore @ http://www.newsweek.com/id/123024
Anyway, who is putting racism in this case????

Senator Obama’s message of hope and change is not for the good of our country. His hope is that he will win the election, his change is that our country will become a socialist/communist nation. His impact on our way of life will be worse than 9/11 and Katrina on every American. To me, he is an evil man and will do anything to win. He is not a true democrat and should not be on the ballot as a democrat. He is at best a socialist.

The Left Wing DNC is using everyone. They are trying to get rid of Hillary first. They know Barack is fatally flawed, so he goes down next. Then what? Well, they get to pick their own candidates. How about the President that wasn’t, Al Gore. And perhaps Donna Brazile for VP.
Now wouldn’t that make everyone soooo happy? The DNC is a sham. Al Gore was cheated, so he’s going to cheat to get what he thought was his to begin with.

Obama is no savior and given all of his actions and associations in Chicago and Washington, he certainly should not be made into one by his supporters. He is a “false idol,” if ever there were one.

Can it be, that you the Holy Male Misogynist Press would question the validity of the deity images that appear with your Savior from the women of the world? Now, this columnist is joking right? Is he challenging Obama, the Holy man of the Holy Men of the Media (AKA: “hmm”…)?
Misogyny, thy servant is Obama proudly driven by male misogynist media and the male misogynist religious media to the Presidential Inauguration in a chariot marked with the blood of the women he and the media have trodden over to win the Democratic nomination.
Wait! That’s not the women’s blood of battle on those chariots and we weren’t destroyed. That’s not even Obama’s inaguration, it’s McCain’s.

Most of the 18 million that you mention are not nearly as militant as you.
As of today, Obama is polling better against McCain than Hillary in the general election.
So much for your “electability” nonsense.
You have no idea how states will vote six months from now. The ‘experts’ have no idea. And the elctorial guessing charts are meaningless.
They have neglected to include the millions of newly registered democrats who did not vote in the last election. (Most of whom registered because of OBAMA)
So, you can continue to be “disgusted” all you want. But it sounds like you may need counciling when Barack becomes President.

…and spock…
Global warming is real
I hope that people read your posting because it shows how precarious we are to be set back many years when people use arguments like yours…
we focus on our reponsibility in global warming because WE need to clean up our house before focusing on India and China, etc…who already have higher and stricter fuel efficiency standards than we do.
do you know how much most countries pay for oil and gas?
It is going to get worse…what happens when we run out because it is a limited resource, huh? Is that okay with our grandkids and great grandkids…
Your message is what got us here.
and your call for a vote for McCain won’t work…because you prove that a vote for McCain is a vote for Bush.
Roe vs. Wade shows that our forefathers were very smart to put in checks and balances… we are Americans first…not Georgians, New Yorkers, Coloradoans, Californians, etc… first.

I don’t think Sen. Obama paints himself this way, but the fact is that many of his supporters think of him this way. And for those who keep saying religion has no place in choosing a President, every part of a candidate’s life that could affect his decision making is fair game. The problem is not where Sen. Obama chooses to go to church, the problem is his judgment in the type of company he keeps. One friendship, maybe. But there are so many with him! No matter how you slice it, the types of people a person chooses to associate with in their church, in business dealings, in their social life, and call their close friends do reflect on that person’s character and judgment. You don’t surround yourself with so many of one type of person if you don’t agree with them, plain and simple. It doesn’t matter if you are running for President of the United States, or President of your local PTA, it does matter. Whether a candidate is sweeping radical friends under the rug, having them lie low til after the election, or “publicly” distancing themself is important contrary to what supporters may think. Be honest, how many would want a teacher with friends like Pfleger, Ayres, Wright, or Rezko teaching their kids? I always try to put things on a level easier to relate to, then it’s much easier to be objective. I think common sense has just gone down the drain, this society is getting stupider every day in the quest to show how open minded we are. Wrong is still wrong, I don’t care if it is popular to say or not.

You should.
The numbers for “defection” that you all like to say will destroy Obama…
are pretty close to Bill Clinton and almost everyother nominee coming from the candidate that lost during the primary…
You want proof that it’s all huff…go look at history…they always say they will defect… didn’t matter with Bill …then again his opponents in the primaries put the issues first and even when they could have gone on did not take it as long as Hillary has …all in the name of her right(and if they did there is not much question Bill would have lost)…
the defection numbers never hold up even close because people don’t vote out of spite…atleast most smart caring adults don’t.

anyone who has been at any mixed dem gathering has seen that their are a couple fo “crazies” who are shouting about voting for McCain but most people care about the countries direction to do that…and the reality of the situation we are slowly putting our kids in.
outside of that small handful of vocal people who are angry their candidate lost…there is not many who will end up voting McCain.
there just isn’t …McCain and Hillary stand in polar opposite directions on most of the issues that will effect us in the coming years.

The Democratic Party has let us down in their biased support and promotion of the “Messiah”. After being a loyal registered Democrat for over 30 years, I’ve just re-registered as an Independent, and WILL be voting McCain come November if Obama is the candidate. All it takes is a small percentage of “defectors” to throw the election to McCain. Remember what Nader did in Florida in 2000 with just 3%. Will be a REPEAT nationwide against Obama. Issues that McCain has promised to fight against. The couple of events I have gone to in the past couple of weeks have shown a lot of embarrassed Hillary supporters for people who are spouting vote for McCain…because they are angry that Hillary lost…and they were loyal to Hillary.
It’s not about the candidate…it is about the country’s bad situation and McCain’s promises (almost all of them) to continue down the road Bush has laid.

It’s time to move on and realize it is about America falling on the same plans that mcCain is proposing.

dl,
AGAIN, keep deluding yourself. I HAVE TAKEN MY BUTT TO DEMOCRATIC events and am a Hillary campaigner so I KNOW of which I speak. Additionally, a lot of Hillary supporters are now denouncing the Democratic Party and going Independent. Combined with the fact that McCain is a Moderate Republican, who with a Democratic Congress will have limited power, it won’t be hard at all voting for him. That said, AGAIN look back at the Florida 2000 election and the SMALL percentage of votes that Nader got which lost the state for Gore. It DOESN’T take much in a lot of these states, especially the swing states where Obama is already weak.

I am sure you have gone to Hillary events and probably were the person shouting McCain.
I have been to two or three one with a hundred or so Hillary supporters (partly because the event was mostly older women) …there were two crazy people ladies going around from operson to person shouting about McCain everyone else was kind of like”shutup.”
These people who are sad and even upset there candidate didn’t win…are more upset at the whack jobs talking about voting for the candidate who wants to overturn Roe, who …well who stand the opposite and has Promised the opposite of what most of them have worked all their lives for.
The women shouting Vote for McCain were just making the others that supported Hilary feel like they were embarrassed that these people backed the same candidate as they did.
sorry but I just don’t believe you have been to a meeting that has been anything but a hillary rally.
People on the whole are adults who care about this country first…they don’t throw out their life’s work for one candidate.

dl – Its real huh, funny thirty years ago the same group said we were going into an ice age? We are already starting a cooling period? Mars is have global warming!!
So your a socialist!! China balked at any restrictions!!
You state that it is ok for oil go up because other countries are paying more!!
Then why dont people like you allow us to build nuclear plants, windmills and so forth!!
We have enough oil and natural gas to last us a 100 years alone!! in that time I think we can build a better vehicle!!
Now if Global Warming is man-made why did we go through warming periods through out history!!
Why is the South pole growing in Ice! Could it be the currents?
Since you show you do not believe in the constitution, because it is all about States rights, The Federal Government is suppose to be very small, the courts are not to make law!!
If you agree with Roe v Wade, then you should not argue about the Supreme court getting involved in the 2000 election!! because if you do, then you prove you only agree with something when goes your way – Hypocrisy!!
By the way do a little studying on the so called Fuel standards do you know premium octane is worst for the environment then the regular
Show the proof that Global Warming in manmade, no proof has been made!!
Computer models do not pass unless you add in the Sun and Currents and everything else! oh thats right there was group of scientists that did and they proved that warming was not Manmade!
The forefathers made the Court the WEAKEST of all three branches!!
And trust me McCain is no Pres. Bush!!

Mack writes:
“[Obama] was re-born in Chicago.”
Yeah, from the ravaged political life of his black female mentor Alice Palmer — whom Obama betrayed with some help from Ayers-Exelon-Axelrod-Daley.
It would have been waaay better if Axelrod had just run for office himself, rather than puppeteering “post-partisan” birthday-suit candidates Patrick, Acevedo and Obama.

If you are voting for him because he is black, that makes you the racist not those who are not voting for him because he is racist!!
By the way even Obama called Reagan one of the best Presidents, so then Obama must be full of it!!

spock
do you remember that Gore backed down from the fight in 2000?
or do you ignore the 99% of scientists who say global warming exists…
and if you are wrong what happens? or does that not matter …that so many in the scientific community that deal with this daily contradict you…
and for those who say history doesn’t show that people vote by the person…sorry but people don’t vote for a person that stands in direct opposition to the issues that effect them the most…
they don’t… and McCain is promising (if you listen) exactly that inopposition to Hillary…
and yes 2-3 supreme court justices may retire in the next 4-8 years…
and a McCain win would tell congress that their opposition to overturning roe and fixing things are not as important to voters as they would have liked to believe.
and if you are banking on hillary in 2012…guess who won’t have a snowballs chance of winning a senate seat never mind another presidential election if we lose now…
and yes lots of women are angry but does that mean most of them are going to vote against issues…no.
and only a 5th grader…or somebody who hadn’t fully grown up would vote against all of the issues that Mccain opposes that are in lock step with Bush after we have seen how badly those policies have done for us.
as much as that feels good for the anger you all feel…the truth of the matter is people are going to vote for the country not because they were angry at not having the cnadidate they fought for.
It’s a change year and luckily most realize how bad of a situation we have gotten ourselves into.

your coverage of obama is strage to say the least–people say obama does not talk about specific issues–yet all of read is rev this or reverend that–or is he to black or not enough black-is a patriotic-is he a muslim –or this weird story–i wonder why clinton and mccain get so much respect, but obama get’s treated like a side show–i think this is the real bias–it is also interesting that this blog tends to watch fox a lot. i wonder what obama’s opinion on farm subsidies is compared to mccain’s–or what are there records on the minimum wage or abortion or death penalty–what about flip flops–i think the media has a responsibility to take the high road–even drudge has taken the high road why won’t you?

DL – Where do I start?
Gore did not back down he lost his bid to steal the election!! He asked for only recounts in highly democrat areas, he asked NOT to count the military (which Lieberman to his credit denounced that)
There was no place to go after the Supreme Court!! The time ran out!!
where do you get your 99% figure?? Read Again – One of the most decorated French geophysicists has converted from a believer in manmade catastrophic global warming to a climate skeptic. This latest defector from the global warming camp caps a year in which numerous scientific studies have bolstered the claims of climate skeptics. Scientific studies that debunk the dire predictions of human-caused global warming have continued to accumulate and many believe the new science is shattering the media-promoted scientific “consensus” on climate alarmism.
Judge in England lambastes Gores movie for inconsistencies.
How can 99% of scientists believe in manmade Global warming when more then double stated it is false, and that is excluding the ones that were threatened to lose their jobs if they spoke out against like in Washington State and Oklahoma! Why do you think they refuse to debate it, it is because it does not exist!!
Lookup Global 2000!
The rest of your comments I do not know if they are towards me! but please tell me what Pres. bush has done wrong, you all critize but give no facts -
Facts are – Lowest unemployment continuous in the last 40 years
Highest Stock market
America Homeland is more secure!!
yes did he make mistakes yes- His stance on Illegal Immigration is wrong
What happened when Dem/libs took over Congress – Gas Prices Doubles, Food Prices increased, taxes increased.
Please give only facts!!
You read the Liberal Handbook and do not think for yourself, you repeat tongue n cheek their talking points!!
President Bush is closer to a Conservative (1st term)
2nd term he became more moderate
McCain is basically an independent, he is not a republican
Hilary is a liberal
Obama is a racist Socialist!!
Facts are Facts!!
The position of the courts is NOT to make law but to interpret Law!!
Roe v Wade was a law made by the courts
same as this gay marriage in California!! and Mass.
They are non-elected officials making law and that should scare you no matter what affiliation you are, because think of this one day they will make a law you do not agree with and what then, you can not denounce it because there is precedent!!

It’s really got to the point where the Obama-with-Christ-halo photos have gotten to be cliche. It’s almost more interesting to find a picture of Barack without a light source behind his head.
Now, the first magazine or newspaper that publishes a photo of Obama walking on water, that would be the start of an entirely new genre.

This is very telling about how the MSM see Obama. They really believe he is the second coming of jesus at worst or the second coming of JFK at best. Either way they are “projecting” way to much onto a man who has done nothing in his life. Hell he even took credit for community organizing things that other people did. It’s the same thing in this election. He is lost without a teleprompter and David Axelrod. Without them, Obama would be sitting in Chicago with his racist friends.

Sen. Barak Obama. Mr. Obama had told us that he was going to change everything in Washington, change the status quo, change the ways in which we have our political divisions. He’s going to bring the country together into a American peaceable kingdom! So that in those Oprah moments people went crazy with euphoria, with the idea that their true savior of America has arrived, that they have been waiting for all these years! Their madness was an over-reaction to the enormous destruction of the Bush years, and but few people realized that most of it was just hype and marketing; all that was nothing but Oprah style made up hyperbolae, made up by his campaign managers. But it was the media who placed Mr. Obama on a very high branch who made him into a political Humpty Dumpty. The truth of the matter was that Mr. Obama is no Mr. Clean as he claims and comes from a very corrupt system of Chicago politics. He’s no lotus that sprang out of Chicago mud! People don’t realize that all the talk about change was only a marketing ploy. The Washington media establishment has been hiding his weaknesses and amplifying his strengths. And similarly the media establishment has being doing the opposite to Mrs. Clinton, down playing her achievements and strengths and exaggerating her weakness’ and faults.

Many Obama supporters do appear to be in some kind of trance–totally blind and deaf to what most objective people see.
Obama too is so caught up into all the adoration that he thinks he can get away with anything. His arrogance grows bigger every day.
But like most huge highs, one day the wave Obama is riding will come crashing down. A few unpopular decisions, too many gaffes, more secrets…some will begin to wakeup from their stupor.
I am thankful I still know who “The One” is–Jesus Christ.
And thankful I never fell into the Obama trance.

The halos emanating from Obama are typically found in paintings depicting the Catholic saints. But in all fairness, Obama isn’t the first to receive non-canonized sainthood. Apparently, Saint George W. was using the photographic manipulations before him. I recall in 2003 seeing non-Kirilian photos of Bush with various styles of halos.
