Graham, er Gramm, Out From McCain Campaign
The McCain campaign was very eager to get this announcement out there, from top economic adviser and controversial former Sen. Phil Gramm, R-Texas:
"It is clear to me that Democrats want to attack me rather than debate Sen. McCain on important economic issues facing the country," Gramm said in a statement. "That kind of distraction hurts not only Sen. McCain’s ability to present concrete programs to deal with the country’s problems, it hurts the country. To end this distraction and get on with the real debate, I hereby step down as co-chair of the McCain campaign and join the growing number of rank-and-file McCain supporters."
How eager were the McCainiacs to get this out there? One of them e-mailed it out with the subject line: "phil graham statement."
Whoops! It’s GRAMM not Graham, as an e-mail from the same McCainiac sent out three minutes later corrected, noting that he was "in a hurry to get that out to you guys."

CPAC: Romney Struggles to Convince Voters
Obama Backs Off Birth Control Battle?
Won’t make a difference. Obama will win this election handily. I challenge people to vote 3rd party though. Send a message to our corrupt governing elites up there in DC. I myself will probably go with Barr. I do hope the 3rd parties get significant support this go around.

NO he’s not, hell just be in an “informal” role. As in advising McCain but unacknowledged for it… Some announcement!!! Yet another McCain, media aided misdirection.

Obama has not mastered the English as of yet. “Just messin’ with you man?” “I got to get some of that” etc….
Since Obama has claimed he is “embarrassed” by Americans who can’t speak the language when they travel abroad, what are the chances that Obama will speak in different languages on his “big” trip to Europe with the mainstream media lapdogs tagging along breathlessly reporting on his every move? LOL

He is not going to leave, just pretend t leave and tell us that we are just winners and we mentally thought he left…Bush and McSame continue to think the American people are stupid and 28% continue to prove them right

George W McCain was going to put Gramm in charge of the US economy if he won the election.
Unbelievable.
It’s hard to imagine that anyone could be as incompetent as Bush Junior, but McCain has proved it’s possible.

well, that’s ashamed because what he said is true, we are a nation of “whiners”. Think about it for a second or look around you, Americans complain about everything; for example, my mother-in-law complains having to wear a hospital hat while in the hospital for a surgery. And quite frankly, I cannot imagine we’re really doing that economically bad because look at the donations Obama and Mccain (well, especially obama) received for the campaign. If you don’t have foods to eat, I doubt you donate $100 to obama. It’s too bad that McCain doesn’t agree especially with the “whining” thing because it’s totally true.

Well! I think Obama’s comments calling blue collar workers bitter and clinging to their religion, bibles, guns…..topped the Gramm’s remarks. And guess whose mouth those words came out of – the chosen one himself! Why can’t Obama do the honourable things and step down as nominee of the Dems?

What would actually be useful is for ABC or any other news group to explain Phil Gramm’s background. He was integral in creating the loopholes and deregulation that brought us Enron, the mortgage crisis, a weak dollar, and alas, skyrocketing oil speculation.
Good reporting, ABC.

Gramm must have hit a nerve or two.
Good on him!

LAST WEEK, McCain said,
“Gramm doesn’t talk for McCain!
“McCain talks for Mccain!”
I applaud those sentiments…
and I applaud McCain!

While Gramm’s comment was politically incorrect, it wasn’t altogether untrue. America is failing because of the failure of it’s citizens. Governments reflect the character and quality of it citizenry. It can be no worse over the long term, than the people it represents.

One has only to listen to the chorus of howls that erupt from the Obama campaign and supporters every time someone dares to question the positions of their master to know where the whining is coming from.

Why is John McCain’s economic plan so ugly? Because its father is Phil Gramm.

Obama said he was embarrassed that he himself didn’t speak a second language, He did not say that he was embarrassed by americans who can’t speak a second language.
So I have a question for you. Is lying a Republican trait or is it genetic?

No, We only howl when someone lies and makes things up about his positions, which unfortunately is quite often.

thank you Ryan, these far right people look all over the truth, even though Gramms’ involvement/actions have impacted americans negatively, which may include their co-workers, neighbors, maybe even family, WHY IS THAT?????????

FYI, THIS is the actual quote from Barack Obama. Obama should master the English language himself. Obama should learn you do not being a sentence with “you know” “but” or “and” etc. L was correct. Obama quote follows:
“You know, I don’t understand when people are going around worrying about, “We need to have English- only.” They want to pass a law, “We want English-only.”
Now, I agree that immigrants should learn English. I agree with that. But understand this. Instead of worrying about whether immigrants can learn English — they’ll learn English — you need to make sure your child can speak Spanish. You should be thinking about, how can your child become bilingual? We should have every child speaking more than one language.
You know, it’s embarrassing when Europeans come over here, they all speak English, they speak French, they speak German. And then we go over to Europe, and all we can say [is], “Merci beaucoup.” Right?

I cannot possibly fathom anyone using an article about Phil Gramm to post about someone else having a problem with proper English usage.

Gramm does have nice blue eyes.
McCain will be a fine President.

The only thing that scares me more than a McCain presidency is a mccain presidency with Phil Gramm as the sec. of the treasury. Lord help us all.
Do your research folks, check out Phil Gramm. Very Scary. McCain calls Gramm his economic “guru”.

Mc Cain is the ONLY choice for President! For your own sake do your research yourselves rather than reading the drivel that i sput out there for the masses! And I am a Democrat…

McCain has had trouble with a pastor he went out and sought the backing of, and his top economic advisor who he has been allied to for a long time. Both therefore where in a position to be speaking for his campaign. These are the people McCain picks to back his campaign.

I agree with Kate on this…do your own research…
McCain is not smart enough on economics…and his support structure tends to be these fellow wealthy ancestral millionaires just like GW Bush
they fight for the rich.
Period not the rest of the country.
NO matter what spin the McCainiacs want to try.
and he also is a hold over from cold war diplomacy…as we have seen in this new global economy that kind of tactic comes back to bite us in the a## and mnake things worse.
i.e giving insurgents enemies guns, power and money and false promises to fight with us in afghanistan, iran, and now iraq…
only to have the same people turn around and work against us and form groups that plot and plan against us like al quaeda.
stupid is as stupid does…don’t vote for “Lt. Dan” Mccain.

That’s a shame, because Gramm was telling the truth in a harsh way.
Some people would rather hear feel-good stories of Hope and Change with no real substance.
It wouldn’t hurt us to learn to live below our means. We might actually start to save money.

I went on a vacation to the forest. Does that make me capable of being a forest ranger. I guess Obama and his media circus trying to convince the world that McCains surge was his idea in Iraq will WHAT?

I’m still trying to figure out why mccain confused the Packers with the Steelers last week while speaking to a Pittsburgh crowd. He said he used the names of the famous Steelers Defensive line of the 1970′s, too bad these guys weren’t even playing when mccain was being interrogated. He is either going senile or he was trying to pull one over on the Pittsburgh crowd, either way this is BAD news for mc-more-war. You can check out the article by going into google and typing “mccain steelers” and picking the first link.

This 2005 interview with Tim Russert on Meet the Press make it very clear.
************************************
RUSSERT: The fact is you are different than George Bush.
SEN. McCAIN: No. No. The fact is that I have agreed with President Bush far more than I have disagreed. And on the transcendent issues, the most important issues of our day, I’ve been totally in agreement and support of President Bush.

It all comes down to whether or not you think we should continue the bush policies. If you think the war should continue indefinitely, while we spend $10,000,000,000 a month, and you think that bush has done well with the economy then mc-more-war is your man. If you think that it’s time we start to get out of iraq and do some positive things for the average American instead of just the top 1% then vote for Obama.
Obama will be GREAT in 2008!!!

Good riddance to Gramm, but who really believes he is gone? Unlike Rev. Wright, who had no policy decisions for Obama, Gramm IS the architect of the currect recession–no wonder he does not want to admit we are in serious straits. He also is the architect of McCain’s whole economic non-policy.
Ask yourselves this: have the prices of things you need (food, gas, energy, housing) gone down since those industries have been deregulated? Deregulation only helps the “haves” in our society…not the 90% of us who work hard. Obama in 08!

Situations change….and so, hopefully, will our candidate’s viewpoints..
Think of OBama… and his beloved uncle Jeremiah…. and then his dispicable enemy Jeremiah….. and then????
HILLARY OR MCCAIN
BUT ALWAYS:
COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY!!!
