McCain Camp Jabs Media with New Credentials
ABC News’ Bret Hovell Reports: The McCain campaign had a small bit of fun in store for the press corps traveling with the presumptive Republican nominee Tuesday night – a press credential playing on one of their themes from Tuesday: that the media is in love with McCain’s Democratic rival, Sen. Barack Obama. After the campaign touched down in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Tuesday evening, the press staff handed out the credential. Next to a picture of the Statue of Liberty, the credential reads: "McCain Press Corps: JV Squad. ‘Left behind to report in America.’" The reference is to Obama’s overseas trip, on which his entire press corps is traveling. McCain’ campaign has been playing a bit of blame-the-media this week, accusing press outlets of favoritism toward Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. Earlier Tuesday, McCain’s staff put out a YouTube video of journalists seeming to fawn over Obama. The campaign also asked supporters to log onto its website to pick a theme song to describe the so-called love affair between the press and Obama. When the fake press credentials distributed Tuesday night, McCain’s traveling press had a good laugh, enjoying the joke.

Vote for Obama to end the disastrous war.
Well, think again, and get ready for an escalation of the Other Wars if Obama gets elected – the one in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Now we will be fighting WARS with at least 3 countrys.

Obama’s childish electoral rhetoric of ‘end the war’ which worked so well with the easily pleased and naive moveon.org crowd.
Is that same moveon.org crowd still with Obama on his stance on Afghanistan and a Pakistan invasion.

That’s the way to cozy up to the media. Insult their objectivity and those who are indeed “left behinds” to report on McCain. Dumb, dumb, dumb…
McCain needs to see the Katie Couric/Obama clip and the edits that kept him from being humiliated.

It may be that the media all went to school and so they have an idea of the facts that work and advance us…and those that don’t.
It is the message that is the problem…not the messengers.
Cover all of the leaders on either side of the middle eastern meeting in one week with one candidate (the trip that John McCain pushed him to go on)
or John McCain gathering with 30 or so planted old people around a picnic table in Maine complaining about the guy who is meeting with the worlsd leaders?
they chose the former…and you are complaining about that?
and there is the problem with many of Americans view of the press…lol

rodney,
McCain has been a Senator for several years plus he served the military for years. He’s not just any military man. Obama is a senator for barely 2 years since 2004. The rest of his 1.5 years were spent on campaign trail.

A sense of humor is a sign of intelligence.
This cracked me up, as did the videos the McCain campaign made about how the press is fawning and swooning and making fools of themselves over obama.
Oddly, obama has yet to make a funny joke. Oh, that’s right – HE IS THE JOKE!

The McSames are sounding more desperate and acting like scared little kids. McBush goes overseas and no one really cares coz there’s nothing new he’s bringing to the table. Whereas Obama visits foreign countries and the whole world cheers him. Now, I’ve heard the McSame campaign saying, “I don’t know if people in Missouri would appreciate Obama being cheered by thousands of Europeans.”. Well, what they don’t appreciate is their President being so reckless that the country’s image is so thrashed out and as a result the only thing he receives is protests.
All things considered, there is one equation that’s coming out more and more vividly by the day:
McCain and his policies = OLD and WEAK!

Isn’t it interesting that no matter how many articles have been written about McCain and Obama there’s always a PUMA out there lurking in the bushes, hoping to seize any opporutnity to mention Hillary Clinton.
FYI, Clinton is no longer in the equation!!
McCain has been getting a free pass for some time now. All of the gaffes that he has made recently have rarely reached national network coverage. If it did, McCain would be a laughing stock.
Posted by: Jennifer | July 23, 2008, 11:10 am 11:10 am
Why would McCain pick up where Hillary left off? Blaming the media for his own failures. Both campaigns played to the low information voters, but people are paying attention. It won’t work this time.
We need to look ahead and decide which candidate can make the most difference for our children, grandchildren and future generations. Don’t we owe them more?

The McCain camp needs to stop whining and complaining about Obama’s trip to the Middle East and Europe. McCain was the one who challenged Obama to go, and now he’s mad because the media is covering the event?
Someone posted that Obama’s trip is a dog and pony show. He’s not holding campaign rallies, he talking to world leaders, generals, soldiers, citizens, local politcians and holding press conferences. In no way is that a dog and pony show!!
Posted by: Jennifer | July 23, 2008, 11:15 am 11:15 am
You guys are amusing to watch. The article is targeted toward media bias and it does exactly that, shows the media for what they are, yellow press, not actual news outlets. The media has been in love with Obama for a long time, for every negative story there are 10 positive, this was evident in the democrat primary and it is evident now. Instead of asking why Obama has waited till now to go visit our troops on the field of battle to figure out what’s going on, the media is passing this off as a presidential visit, even to the point of sounding like he is already elected. That is rank bias in the media. Which is normal, the media has been doing this for a long time, it amazes me why so many people still support the news outlets or at least don’t call them down on their false claims of unbiased reporting.
As for Obama’s credentials in national security, defense, and foreign policy, they are non existent, fact, end of story. His little trip over seas is like a teenager waiting to the last minute to cram on a final exam. He made and proposed plans on what to do in our theaters of operation without ever having been on the ground to see what’s going on. As McCain did say (and he is right for a change) you do your fact finding first, your planning next. What Obama’s done is very juvenile and shows his rank inexperience and incompetence as a Commander in Cheif. All of you who keep harping on the war that should never have been, get over it!! You can’t change the past, the true question now is, how do you WIN!? Obama has no experience or even a clue on what to do to win. He can’t even draw on knowledge from his political party because they’ve been in the business of losing wars since Vietnam. It’s one of the reasons why the democrat party is always weak on defense, no one trusts a democrat on defense because their default reaction is to give up. So what experience is Obama going to pull from, he doesn’t have any of his own to speak of and his party has none to offer, they disowned the one member who got a clue… it’s amazing how folks believe in “change” that has never been defined or even stated, Obama’s a joke.

Posted by: neil1785 | July 23, 2008, 11:39 am 11:39 am
Hey Norm,
Here’s a short list of the McCain gaffes that he has made recently:
1)Mistakes Iraq/Pakistan border
2)Flubs timeline of Sunni Awakening. He thinks it happened after the surge, when it was months before the surge in Iraq was conceived.
3)He still thinks Czechoslovakia is a country.
4) When retelling his POW story, he mixed up Pittsburgh Steelers and Greenbay Packers. (The Packers team-line up was supposed to be the names of his squadron mates)
5)Just recently in his interview with Katie Couric, he says he thinks the media coverage is fair.
6)He mixed up Somolia for Sudan
7)Monday in an interview he mixed up Iraq when he should’ve said Afghanistan.
Need I go on? There’s a lot more!! If Obama had made just one of these errors it would be all over the news for at least three days! McCain is getting a free pass. PERIOD.
Posted by: Jennifer | July 23, 2008, 11:39 am 11:39 am
More Americans will be paying attention to the election after the first debate. And when that happens, Obama’s going to mop the floor with McCain on the issues. The polls will then widen in Obama’s favor.

“And when that happens, Obama’s going to mop the floor with McCain”

Posted by: Mack | July 23, 2008, 11:53 am 11:53 am
I am me not some guy named neil, anyway, McCain is not “Obsessed” with Iraq. You are the one “Obsessed” with Iraq, you can’t get over the past. It doesn’t matter how the war started, what matters now is WINNING!!! You can’t change the past the idea now is to win. Obama and the democrat party doesn’t know how to win. Obama doesn’t even have the intelligence to understand basic planning concepts. I don’t know of a single course in business, science, or military where you make a plan before you have data. That is exactly what Obama did and it’s something kids do which is why we call them kids. Everyone had the same data when the Iraq war started, the Intelligence agencies we rely on made a mistake, the result is the Iraq war. Now we are in the fight and we need to win. Logically you get the data, in this case we can go to the source, McCain has, and get the information we need to make a plan. Obama did it backwards… That’s not intelligence that’s stupid. There is no other word to describe it and no excuse except the same excuse we give to kids who do the same thing, he’s inexperienced, and when you’re talking about the security and lives of americans… I’m sorry Obama fails.
McCain is not getting a free pass, there are constant media attacks on McCains age and his experience, but most notably there is practically nothing positive reported on McCain. The same treatment can not be said of Obama.
Posted by: Norm | July 23, 2008, 11:55 am 11:55 am
We keep being told about about how much coverage the media gives Obama. But much of that seems to consist of bashing Obama (check the routine “coverage” on Fox, Headline News, CNN, etc. – to say nothing of the majority of the radio blowhards).
The McCain camp’s claim of media bias is just taking a leaf out of the same, tired old Bush strategy book: say a thing often enough and people will start believing it’s true.

Bush is not the worst president ever. In my lifetime I would have to toss it up between Carter and Clinton. Probably carter, I can’t think of a more bungling president. Bush was unfortunate enough to be in office when the worst disaster ever to befall our nation since WWII struck. Thanks to Clinton’s policies which were still in effect and in process of being worked out during Bushes first months in office.
Don’t get me wrong, I disagree with a lot of what Bush has done as Commander in Cheif and as president. I also am not happy with McCain either, but the alternative first being Kerry and now Obama… *shudder* yeah, my vote for McCain is against Obama more than it is “for” McCain. I for one am sick of having to choose the lesser of two evils.. term limits on congress, we need higher turnover in our legislature.
Posted by: Norm | July 23, 2008, 12:22 pm 12:22 pm
Make no doubt about it, Bush will go down as the worst US president in history. When Clinton left office we had a budget surplus, and now look at the state of our economy!!
McCain doesn’t know which way is up as far as the economy is concerned. Or is he still relying on Phil Gramm to deregulate more?
The whole platform of McCain’s campaign is fearmongering. In 2004, the American public re-elected Bush based on fear. They believed all the lies Bush told about the war in Iraq. Now voters are smart enough to know that they will not vote for a president based on fear propoganda!!

If the conversations i am overhearing in the retail stores pay lines mean anything, the American people aren’t fooled by Obama and his “concert tour”
But, I guess we’ll find out come October. Yes, I said October. It won’t take til November to know.
Something is in the air. McCain has been too “what, me worry”. And if you think it’s because he’s stupid, keep on thinking that, it’s exactly what he wants you to do.
There IS going to be an
“October Surprise” for Obama. Get ready for it. It won’t happen until after The Dem Convention, but it may even happen in September even tho that would be a minor strategy mistake.
But, it’s fatal for Obama’s campaign. The GOP prays that Obama won’t die or go to prison before November as they DO NOT want to face Hillary, ESPECIALLY if Obama has become a martyr to the Dem Party.

The video is hilarious. The media are a bunch of whimps when it comes to Obama. It’s embarrassing. The only news organization with guts is ABC and FOX.
They are more fair and balanced. Even though I thought ABC stuck it to Clinton.
Still, I get my news mostly from ABC and international sources now.
Posted by: Anna | July 23, 2008, 12:49 pm 12:49 pm
The media actually is giving McCain more favorable treatment than Obama. CNN is using more air time on McCain’s town hall meetings and Obama-bashing than they are spending on Obama’s diplomatic visit to Europe and the Middle East. TV news is virtually ignoring the ASTOUNDING GAFFES that McCain has made, e.g. his reference to a non-existent “Iraq-Pakistan border”. And the media is accepting the lie that the surge alone is responsible for the drop in violence in Iraq, completely ignoring the essential role played by the Sunni terrorists who Bush is paying in cold hard cash NOT to attack our troops. Plus, every day the right wing liars Rush, Hannity and Savage spew their hate for 8 hours on talk radio and Fox News continues it’s blatantly dishonest right-wing propaganda campaign. Sorry, but against this media backdrop, I think it is still most likely that McCain will be elected and the USA will get four more years of GOP mismanagement.

Or are you to stupid to figure out how to or to lasy so we just keep on with it? I dont belive as americans in the this century we can put men on the moon but we cant figure out how to end a war. I mean we are spending Trillions of your tax dollars on this war and are getting nothing but a recesion out of it and also as usual the GOP just trys to make the other guy look bad any way they can instead of running campain on the real issuses but instead they want to mke you afraid of the other guy. Literally everyday McCain has a gaffe that would cost Obama the presidency if he had said it.
Do you really think that if Obama constantly confused Shiites and Sunnis, the media would let him out of it. They would pound him constantly.

In my day, we didn’t have these cash machines that would give you money when you needed it. There was only one bank in each state — it was open only one hour a year. And you’d get in line, seventeen miles long, and the line became an angry mob of people — fornicators and thieves, mutant children and circus freaks — and you waited for years and by the time you got to the teller, you were senile and arthritic and you couldn’t remember your own name. You were born, got in line, and ya died! And that’s the way it was and we liked it!
Life was simpler then. There wasn’t all this concern about hy-giene! It my days, we didn’t have Kleenex. When you turned seventeen, you were given the family handkerchief. … It hadn’t been washed in generations and it stood on its own … filled with diseases and swarmin’ with flies. … If you tried to blow your nose, you’d get an infection and your head would swell up and turn green and children would burst into tears at the sight o’ ya! And that’s the way it was and we liked it!
Life was a carnival! We entertained ourselves! We didn’t need moooovin’ pitchurrrres. In my day, there was only one show in town — it was called “Stare at the sun!” … That’s right! You’d sit in the middle of an open field and stare up at the sun till your eyeballs burst into flames! And you thought, “Oh, no! Maybe I shouldn’t've stared directly into the burning sun with my eyes wide open.” But it was too late! Your head was on fire and people were roastin’ chickens over it. … And that’s the way it was and we liked it!
Progress?! Flobble-de-flee! In my day, when we were angry and frustrated, we just said, “Flobble-de-flee!” ’cause we were idiots and we didn’t know what else to say! Just a bunch o’ illiterate Cro-Magnons, blowin’ on crusty handkerchiefs, waitin’ in lines for our head to burst into flame and that’s the way it was and we liked it! ” – John McCain, letter to the NY Times, 2008

When John McCain’s campaign gave exclusive rights for his March Middle-East tour to CBS did he “get funny” and hand out to the rest of the press “You’re Not My Choice”. The double standard of this man’s campaign is insulting – but then what can we expect since it’s run by a surrogate from Karl Rove’s staff.

Ideasmaster – contrary to your desire to be flippant Senator Obama is not representing himself as President of the United States nor do any of the dignitaries he visits see him as that. He is widely known as the presumtive nominee of the Democrat party who will be running against John McCain. You may see him as that (and you may dislike it), but informed people around the world have known a good deal more about our failures and intellect that we have ourselves at times. Lastly, and this will certainly displease you – he looks like, acts like, carries himself like a represents this nation like I’d like to see a President do. If that offends you – then you know what a heck of us felt like during the past 7 years.
Posted by: OnTheGloryRoad | July 23, 2008, 1:56 pm 1:56 pm
Tom: You are correct. It is not the fact that Hillary lost, but the fact that the Democratic Party and the media fixed the game. We must make sure that this type of thing is not repeated in the future. Now the Democratic Party is attempting to prevent a roll call vote in Denver. This is absurd and unheard of.

The New York Times’ Maureen Dowd wrote today about a visual contrast that may be remembered much like the “Dukakis in a tank” photo. “The image of John McCain in a golf cart with Bush 41 in Kennebunkport — with Poppy charmingly admitting that they were ‘a little jealous’ of all the Obama odyssey coverage — was not a good advertisement for the future, especially contrasted with the shots of Gen. David Petraeus and Obama smiling at each other companionably in a helicopter surveying Iraq.”

Bush allowed Bin Laden, al Qaida and the Taliban to get away with the terror they afflicted on the American people on 9/11. Senator Barack Obama should show more respect for the other team. He is a loser and can not win if he were to play on equal turf. The media should stop is affair with him, and treat the campaign equally.

Joaquin B. – why do you claim that your opinion is “the bottom line”? You claim that the media is “in the tank for Obama” but you conveniently ignore the simple fact that McCain just isn’t giving the media a whole lot to work with – he keeps cancelling campaign events which leaves a huge news hole in campaign coverage that the media is naturally going to fill with Obama events. McCain turned around and cancelled all his events today – so don’t go whining about media “bias” when McCain is running such a lousy campaign in the first place. Also, you seem to forget that the media has been cutting McCain an ENORMOUS amount of slack for his ever-increasing gaffes and senior moments (which I actually approve of, since they’re actually pretty painful to watch).

Bush Pulled most of our resources out of Afghanistan, which gave Bin Laden and al Qaida and the Taliban a free pass in Afghanistan. Bush encouraged Bin Laden and al Qaida and the Taliban to rebuild their resources of terror. Bush allowed Bin Laden and al Qaida and the Taliban to grow their poppy fields financing their terrorists activities in many parts of the middle east. With John McCain, expect more of the ‘SAME’.

Actually if the media did give McSame more air time it would probably kill his campaign, seeing as how he’s had more embarassing gaffes in the last week than Obama has in his whole career. I think McCain is beginning to lose it – too many “senior moments”.

Obama is the teacher saying to the world all my students did not fly into the World Trade Center, and the Pentagon! This is Obama”s plan, legacy, and shows his charisma as well. First, all he is is a black teacher at law school. That”s what he is using. Traditionally, when I think of a black professor, I think of someone who knows the laws dealing with “minorities” over everything else. I mean that”s what they are best at, what they like dealing with, and what is expected of them by their students. So, here comes along Obama with that label. Minorities such as radical extreme Islamist groups can use this fatherly protection against the United States to come in and learn how to fly planes for example. Obama is keeping his fingers crossed when he talks to the heads of countries such as Palestine, Iraq, and Jordan. It might work in the short term for the terrorists. Maybe they want to see what they can get. Thus, unintentionally or intentionally Obama is telling countries such as these that maybe he wants to send American troops to Afghanistan to kill them like over 10,000 Russians were killed there. That”s Barack Obama”s plan, legacy, and secret. That”s why I”m begging you to vote for John McCain. John has the experience to get things done. God Bless Senator John McCain, our troops, and the USA

Econ 101, there is a direct relation between supply and demand. There is a direct relationship between Government involvement in business and a healthy economy(see socialism, communism and the fall of the U.S.S.R.). Obama and the democrat party has a default answer for any problem facing the american people, start a government program. I don’t need a government program to help me get a home loan, I don’t need a government program to get healthcare, I don’t need a government program for retirement, i don’t need a government program to educate my children. I need the money in my pocket so i can get my own house, invest in my own retirement, purchase my own healthcare how I want it (not how some government stooge thinks I need), and so I can educate my children how I see fit. The government involvement in energy policy for this nation has created our current economic crisis and it started with the democrat led congress of 1981 when they banned energy expansion and oil exploration. The rest of the industrialized world has advanced nuclear power and production where we have let our sit for nearly 30 years. Now it’s costing us through the nose and the democrat congress is trying to blame the industry. We want to know why businesses are taking their jobs overseas? Government involvement, that’s why the U.S.S.R. failed. I can’t understand why so many folks think the democrat plan of Socialism will work when it has already abysmally failed.
Obama still has no credentials and I have yet to see anyone post credentials that would make him even remotely qualified for the Commander in Cheif. No one has stated the “change” he speaks of because even he hasn’t stated what his “change” is. I can guess that because he is a democrat it’s just more socialism which has and will fail.
McCain unfortunately is not very attractive either, but he does have qualifications and is talking sense in a few areas where Obama is just blowing smoke because he has nothing to base his claims on.

Please remember that I’m not anti-Muslim while reading my jokes. They’ve been thrown together without any ill intent. I apologize, but I feel its applicable and appropriate. Anyway, here are a few comical reasons why senator Obama would be bad for the country. I will propose jokes only about senator Barack Obama’s name. First, senator Obama has a similar sounding name to Osama Bin Laden. Laden has been around for many years. How could Barack ignore Bin Laden in his past campaigning, and do as I describe below. Second, “Barack” sounds like US barracks, the “O” in Obama is hinting at praise, “bam” sounds like bomb, and the last letter in his name “a” could stand for America. If you stitch these together Barack’s name is saying to the subconsciousness of the American people “praise the bombing of America”. Who can do the bombing. Well, we have a lot of terrorists for that. To strengthen this, I can say the following. Since the 60s, anti-semites have again spread like a disease. Now it appears that they are on our very doorsteps. What makes things worst when you think about Barack’s name is Obama has worn muslim cloths, has a bad middle name (Hussein), and attended an anti-semite church. Believe me, it’s just like someone with an Adolph Hitler mustach repeatedly playing football on the lawn of the white house. How could senator Obama do this to the country. Doesn’t he look at what his name would mean to other people. Third and fourth, do you know how I discovered this. I saw the name “Barack” and “Obama” and though of the bombing of the US barracks in 1983 Beirut, and the bombing of the US barracks in the Gulf War by friendly fire. That horror then made me begin to think more about his name. For example, his initials, “BO”, are like he’s saying if you vote for me you will be making the country stink with radiation. Fifth, Barack’s recent attacks on John McCain can also be related to Barack’s name. Barack’s name can be seen to be saying “baa” like a sheep saying “bad” (another reference “baa-humbug), “rack” pointing directly towards John McCain’s torture at the hands of the Vietnames. “rack” is a term that can be applied to being hung by ropes with your arms behind your back. So, Barack’s recent attacks on John’s war record are because Barack is literally standing on his first name. Barack is also indicating that he has begun another stage of his campaign. Basically, did Barack intend to use these ideas in some charismatic way. If I were to ask you a question I would ask why didn’t Obama legally change his name?

“Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain appeared Tuesday to suggest rationing of veterans’ health care may be needed so combat veterans can receive the care they deserve.
At a town hall meeting in Dover, N.H., McCain talked about the need to “concentrate” veterans’ health care on people with injuries that “are a direct result of combat.”

Norm said “I’m not very enthusiastic about McCain, his victory with the republican primary is probably due to the large amount of media attention he got during the primary which is sad.”
Agreed about McCain. Without question, he won the Republican nomination solely because Huckabee split the conservative base. Huck was never an electable candidate (a spotty record and over-dependence on his religion). Romney had a strong record and was gaining in delegate numbers when Huck showed up and split the base. Hence McCain.
Still, he’s far better than Obama. All rhetoric, all charisma – he’s won over the media stateside, for sure. I’m not interested in his speeches and books – show me his record. What are his SPECIFIC proposals? Not vague ideals (“hope for change”), but specific solutions. The world has yet to hear concrete substance beyond the stirring oratory. Does he have any actual positions on anything other than “wrong war, wrong place, wrong time”(Kerry’s stunning slogan from ’04)?

Obama is scary, risky and should step down, regardless if the media thinks he’s the messiah.
This man is an embarrassment.
Americans are beginning to notice his coverage and they don’t like it.
If you look at the daily numbers the past two weeks, you’ll notice Obama’s six-point edge has disappeared.
How is this happening with all the slavish attention for Obama’s world tour?
The American people are not as crazy and don’t make money from his speeches as the media does.
Well, it could be people are so turned off by the fawning coverage of Obama, which has gotten so ridiculous in recent days to the point where even the leftist media is noticing how out of control it is.

It’s a shame that most of the media is so rabidly committed to Mr. Obama’s elaborate dog and pony show. Hopefully, not many will be duped by Mr. Obama’s Cliff Notes foreign policy experience.

Im a GOP supporter and I was going to vote for McCain but I’ve changed my mind. I like Obama because he’s out there with the soldiers showing that he is concerned. He’s meeting world leaders and towers over them. Spending time doing that is important to me. I’m a conservative that’s voting for Obama.

Would someone please tell McCain that if he wants to lose the election, he can continue to sound like a bitter old man in the produce section of the local grocery store complaining that it’s all just not fair? For heaven’s sake, do his advisors have no clue or is he just refusing to listen? He should pretty much ignore the Obama trip at this point and start showing up at some high profile events in the US. I agree with the previous poster – McCain’s jumped the shark on this one already.

NBC’s Andrea Mitchell was the one journalist with the courage to name what she was actually seeing happen: Obama faking even being interviewed by the press.
“Let me say something about the message management. He didn’t have reporters with him, he didn’t have a press pool, he didn’t do a press conference,” either in Afghanistan or Iraq, noted Mitchell on the air. Instead Obama manufactured “what some would call ‘fake interviews,’ because they are not interviews from a journalist,” Mitchell went on.
Mitchell understands very well that this contrived image management is powerfully all to Obama’s political advantage. He’s shameless when it comes to managing his own image. “Politically it’s as smart as can be,” she conceded before noting the big obvious truth nobody else in the media was bothering to expose: “We’ve not seen a presidential candidate do this, in my recollection, ever before.”

Wow, John, what a way to make friends and influence enemies. Your lack of interpersonal skills is truly concerning. Careful, I think the press is over the intimidation factor of the Bush administration. They may just eat you for lunch…

Vote for Obama to end the disastrous war.
Well, think again, and get ready for an escalation of the Other Wars if Obama gets elected – the one in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Now we will be fighting WARS with at least 3 countrys.
Hey Yougi, Didnt President Bush Start the war in Afghanistan, then abandon it to put all his focus on Saddam and the Oil in Iraq. Its his fault american troops are fighting two wars, you cant blame that on Obama. Yet Senator McCain praises him. I love how you people have so much hate for Obama, Yet Its the Bush Adminastration that has caused all the imporatnt problems our country is currently facing.Yet McCain praises him.
Ask yourself. Are we in better shape today, than we were when Clinton left office 8years ago? If your honest with yourself, The answer will be a FIRM NO.

How could I possibly know what’s going on with McCain’s presidential campaign when the media never say much about him or his politics? Now with Obama, at least I now know he gives his daughters a $1.00 weekly allowance. I’ll keep that in mind as I head to the polls. Great coverage 4th Estate! Thanks for all the fair and balanced information.

The media except FOX)was treated shabbily by the GOP for the last 7.5 years. I guess they hold a grudge, do you blame them. McCain has the power to reinvent his relatioship with the press. Looks like more of the same, though.

McCain, right . . . the press loves Obama . . . that’s the issue. CBS edited your answers together so they actually seemed to be reasonable. Your worst gaffes end up on the editing rooms floor, but it’s the media loving Obama’s fault. . . .. right

I’m a fan of all the Obama love coming from the media. 236.com had a really funny comment on how even the people on McCain’s campaign must adore Barack. The whole feature is actually great– http://www.236.com/news/2008/07/24/if_they_imd_barack_obama_and_t_2_7906.php.
