Seems like Bush has a pretty good shot… but seems McCain has as much in common with Romney now… mega money.
Now there’s a vp ticket… seems that is as bad as sopme of the ones you mentioned.
Remember the sale of “Bud” to the Europeans an American company getting cindy a windfall 54 million seems really apropos for such a down to earth guy… who looks out for Americans…no wonder he doesn’t want to tax the rich…and neither will Romney.
McCain Romney… might as well pick Keating….the “mega millionaires looking out for the working class” gag
There’s a choice that should definitely be in the white house…they have such a good grasp on being blue collar and having to worry about their children’s futures.

Are you better off today than you were 8 years ago?
Senator McCain voted with President Bush 95% of the time during the past eight years. So much for being a Maverick.
If you like President Bush and think he has done a good job, then John McCain is your man.
If you’re one of many Americans who thinks that the war in Iraq was a mistake or believe that the Republicans have run the economy into the ground and think that the chaos George Bush and John McCain unleashed in our foreign affairs has something to do with the price of gas at the pump… then you have Bush’s partner John McCain to thank.
No one worked harder than McCain to get Bush elected then reelected.
And no one originally promoted and advocated for the Iraq war than John McCain. John McCain’s original sin was supporting Bush and going to war in the first place. That decision cost of more than $1 Trillion and 4,000 American lives. The economy is in big trouble and McCain now wants to perpetuate Bush’s tax cuts for the wealthy.
Again, if you like the results of the past 8 years, then vote for McCain, because you will get more of the same for the next 8 years.
So, are you better off today than you were in 2000?
If not, then I respectfully suggest you vote for Barack Obama in 2008.

Great piece, Jake. It was just as good as the one you did previously with regard to Obama’s bottom 10 VPs.

AVOID THE PAIN VOTE McCAIN. Does anyone really think Obama would know how to run this country? Please. I think of the SNL skit where at 3AM he’s in the Oval office and calling Hillary in a panic….more like it.
I don’t care who McCain picks as VP…he gets my vote…never newbie, affirmative action candi Obama…way too risky. Even with Hillary (who I voted for) on the ticket…would still have to vote McCain. This isn’t Frat President, but Commander in Chief, and I say NO to BO.

dl…no one likes war, but we’re in this one because of 9/11 and a very real threat of terriorism that all Americans felt/feel. The economy is more on everyones mind and when this war comes to a close, a majority of Americans feel Senator McCain is the better choice on Nat’l. defense.
Obama stayed in a hateful church for 20 years and alot of us can’t let that go, or the arrogance this guy has. Hillary was the better candidate and got the most votes, but he’s black and the Dems thought they had it in the bag in Feb. when he had 11 wins and NO ONE knew him. He hadn’t been vetted, like Wright, Pfleger, Resko, Ayers and on and on. McCAIN 08/HILLARY ’12.

P.S.- Can’t STAND Olbermann. He needs his meds checked. No one watches him…FOX news gets triple the ratings of CNN or MSNBC.

We didn’t get go to war because of 9.11. It was a placebo for the American public. The administration thought it would be an easy win and an easy out and then we could all feel good again. That and oil. How’d that work for you dubbya?

Olbermann is a carbon copy of Obama as far as what they say – the same 0 (that is a zero) as far as substance is concerned.
These are the talkingheads who derailed the dems primaries, and they will pay by the fact that I have stopped watching their programs since January.

If you vote BoO into the office, you will restart from ’55 as far as energy economy is concerned. He has no plan for the future – first opposes nuclear power, then Maybe, now, for nuclear power after hearing McCain’s strategy, but still BoO plans to build 0, nada, nuclear power plants in the next 20 years.
He keeps his record of 0, 0-bama, intact.

“cops” gets more viewers than “Masterpiece Theatre”…..there’s a reason why fox “news” gets more viewers than some other cable news stations…..not saying that olbermann was not a biased, inflammatory retch for obama against the best candidate out there, Senator Clinton, but the fact that olbermann may get fewer viewers than o’reilly is due not to the intelligence of the personality; its undoubtedly due to the appeal to the lowest common denominator which is prevalent in more viewers than not

Olberman is the worst excuse for a news person gender in question. Maybe if obie gets elected he might make olberman the news spokesperson. Two losers deserve each other Rev. Wright might even get a post position. Guess the lots of Americans can fly the flag upside down until the next election.
