I just get so bitter and angry when I hear of people still trying to smear Hillary. She and others — including the far-left members of the Democratic party (angry, bitter leftists like me who read firedoglake and are secure in our gender identity) — are quite aware that anything can happen between now and the convention. That is why Hillary stands ready to serve — she is entitled to this, after all!

Why is this a serious situation “in this particular case”?
These thing can happen. The pilots are trained for this.
And as a flight attendant for 23 years, I never instructed anyone that “they might have to assume the bracing position”!?
You either do or you do not!

As a certified member of the right wing conspiracy, I can also say that the notion that there was foul play here is ridiculous. That is unless the pilots are also suicidal. A pilot goes through signficant preflight procedures.
As for the comparisons to John John. His death was born out of Kennedy arrogance. JFK Jr. Just got his pilots licence, the journey he chose to fly was a difficult one. People on the ground begged him not to fly. No conspiracy there either.

I don’t normally respond directly to stupid posts but in this case I have to ask AJ:
If this happened YESTERDAY how can you possibly say the NTSB is “dragging its feet investigating this”?

this story is the basic reason (unfortunately) over everything else that Hillary couldn’t be VP.
Because of a “too long” primary and a couple of stupid slip-ups in speeches…
Right or wrong…we are now left (everyone including her supporters whether they admit it or not…and even members of congress) couldn’t help but have that thought/connection in the back of their head heaven forbid something happen.
It is sad but the Clinton’s also have (unfortunately) a weirdly, long list of associations and witnesses that turned up dead often under circumstantially unusual situations.

This would only be news if it crashed. This happens more often than people realize in flying.

Almost had to be in brace positions, big deal, I’ve been on multiple planes that have declared an emergency and had people in brace positions crying and freaking out. Happens all the time.
Hardly news, nor is the candidate.

There is a lot of BS in this story. The NTSB Chairman(who is a political hack not to be confused with the actual staff of the NTSB) makes things worse with his asinine statement.
I do think that if a slide inflated in flight then someone was messing with it. I have never heard of a spontaneous inflation. My nominee would be some wise guy campaign staffer, or a media type.

A setup to look like mean old Hillary is picking on Barry again. Obama hasn’t had the opportunity to blame her in awhile.
Ever noticed how Obama is always a victim?

What happened yesterday was an example of the media “creating” news and not simply reporting news.

Now, Hillary on the other hand has quite a bit to gain from Obama’s plane going down in a fiery inferno. And it was one of her old planes.

I just thought of something. Maybe Hillary was standing next to him with Kryptonite!

I flew the MD-80 for 10 years. For the evacuation slide to deploy the tailcone has to be jettsioned. It’s pretty big. I wonder where it landed. If the aft airstair door is opened with the slide armed, the tailcone will jettsion automaticly and the slide will deploy. It would be impossible to open the aft airstair door with the aircraft pressurized. There is a red handle on the slide for manual inflation but you have to be on the walkway to reach this handle. If the tailcone were to fall off and the slide were deployed, the slide would rear off. The missing tailcone would cause some buffeting but it would not endanger the aircraft.

To all of the conspiracy theorists. The only conspiracy here is to get stupid people to believe that there is a conspiracy. The sooner you dummies realize that your fellow Americans are not your enemies, the sooner we can take our country back. So, shut up with the stupid conspiracy stuff if you want to be treated like intelligent citizens who make intelligent decisions with their votes. Or we are all going to lose this great country of ours.

I don’t understand the commentors on this board. No one knows what is going to happen to them when they walk out their door in the morning, in a car or a plane. I was in a plane several years ago that couldn’t land and circled the airport for over an hour. There also was a plane that circled and crashed at the airport. Politicians are not criminals and are not going to damage their career over a plane. Get real and grow up. Like one commentor said, that could be a warning from GOD to bring Obama down to level instead of acting like he is God’s gift to creation. And he is not the Messiah, an abomination of God. People are the sometimes the cause of destruction but the things they say or do.

Boris: I am going to tell you the same thing, WHO CARES ABOUT HIS PLANE? That should have been checked before he was on it and they would have found it right away but even if it was to be foul play I personally am not going to cry over it. There were better people than him that were planes that crashed. How about the most decorated soldier of world war II. He lived thru all of that but in time he was killed when the plane crashed. Its no big deal, he’s not the president yet.

On the recorded tape, people didn’t sound too concerned, and it sounds as though folks are partying in the cockpit.

Re American flag on Obama’s plane tail: his campaign leased the plane from North American Airlines, which had a stylization of the Stars and Bars on its tail. This was trademarked, and when O’s campaign bbought the plane, had to be changed to comply with the law. Hence the Obama red, white and blue logo that replaced it. Another red herring rumor discredited.

I’ll tell you what’s disturbing about this article. This quote, ‘National Transportation Safety Board chairman Mark Rosenker told ABC News’ Dennis Powell yesterday that the incident “is extremely serious in this particular case.”‘

Would it not have been as serious if it were just the general public on the plane and not the president? It tells you a bit about the National Transportation Safety Board’s priorities. Whoopsy, the president was on this plane that malfunctioned and not the general public, now we might have to do something about plane safety.

Hillary had nothing to do with this. The evil and cunning in that woman’s cold, black heart would not allow her to set herself up to have the finger pointed directly at her, especially at this point in time. If she wanted to bump him off now she would just have an assassination set up like the Illuminati did with JFK and leave it to conspiracy theory for all infamy as to who set it up and why.
