We get it Obama people love you, but considering president bush won a second term I don’t trust many of my fellow american’s judgement, they want to vote for a cool guy I want to vote for someone who does more than give speeches and does photo ops, unfortantely it looks like that neither of the nomoniees fit the bill, how depressing.

Thanks for the post. Need to hear from more of our troops. Whether we agreed with these wars we are in or not, we must recognize the risk the soldiers are taking and thank them for their duty. Obama does not deserve the honor to be CIC…

Well, here’s the thing. Europeans, some from as far away as Poland, have shown up on the Obama site recently asking the where, when and “how much” of this event…. They probably think it’s a good opportunity to take a personal measure of the man who is likely to be the next president…. And Obama 08 probably thinks it’s polite and respectful to provide this information in the language of the host nation…. Am I being tedious, stating the blatantly obvious? … I sure hope so!

I think Bush senior summed up most of the comments above “…a little jealous, that’s all.” It appears this also sums up the feeling in camp McCain. They would have loved all this attention and global credibility but sorry… it ain’t gonna happen.
When you fight an unjust war, occupy a country and breath threats down everybody’s throat, then you can rightly expect resentment across the globe.

People, let’s not forget, we do have military personnel and civilians, in Germany, that Can Vote, even though it is with absentee ballots. “die feshtachg”. Have we ever had a communitiy organizer, 2 minute Senator run for POTUS before? Seriously, his skin color is working to his advantage, as did his Black Liberation Theology Trinity Church when he was running for office on the South Side of Chicago. Where is Rev. Wright….or Jesse Jackson….why do these guys go underground when they speak the truth. I trust them more than Obama.

Isn’t it kind of normal to inform people of such a big event in the language of the country? If, say, the Pope comes to America, I guess very few invitations and posters spread inside the U.S. will be in Latin or Italian…

The color in the poster looks to be Prussian Blue. Isn’t it a Prussian monument? Yes. To celebrate Prussian military dominance. And the name Prussian blue comes from the fact that it was first extensively used to dye the dark blue uniforms of the Prussian army.

i’m not at all sure what is supposed to be newsworthy about a poster being printed in the language of the people that are meant to read it…i’m sure that had the posters been distributed in english, there would have been a hew and cry about his arrogance in assuming that the german people would be able to read english…try maintaining a consistent position folks.

Today, he tried to brag about his deeds — don’t just listen to my words, I have good deeds too. then, he said, my committee, the banking committee, did some good last week. well, Obama forgot which committee he serves on.
Every time he tried to brag about his records, he’s been caught exaggerating (or, lying to be accurate by not telling the whole story). Remeber his bill regulating the nuclear industry — I passed it last year. NYT found out it did not pass at all.
poor Obama. The only things now you can use are yourself, your wife, your daughters, your great uncles, your grand parents, your father… Who else haven’t we heard?

Twice Obama has had to be reminded by press he is not POTUS….not good. This tour is so staged it’s pathetic. You can’t fight the minority aura going on here and Obama is part of the protected class and you can’t fight PC directly, you have to go at it assymetrically…WHOULD THIS GUY EVER BE IN THE RACE IF HE WERE WHITE?

Obama is on his “we are the world” tour instead of “proud to be an American tour” and our troops just don’t think like that. He’ll be lucky to get 14% of the military vote, like he’s getting 98% of the 14% of black Americans vote.
Good luck with that. Thank God for Fox news and conservative talk radio (80% of political talk radio is conservative, like the bulk of this country). This guy is the most liberal candidate ever and truly has only got this far on his skin color and Oprah endorsement.

Obama’s ego is unglaublich (unbelievable)…. and it has affected his staff. When asked if his rally were more political than substantive, they replied that often presidential rallies have the element of both. The reporters had to point out that he was not the president.
Perhaps his staff can ressurect Leni Reifenstahl to produce a rally worthy of the Senator’s magnitude. It worked for the Fourth Party Congress… Germans love spectacle!

I live in Germany and have to say that I find the fact that Obama is coming here disgusting. He is a US senator who has little to no influence whatsoever on anything to do with Germany or other foreign policy. Yet they roll out the red carpet for him and allow him to make a speech here. And guess who has to pay for it? The German taxpayers. He is blatently using the German people and government to polish his image and for ‘electioneering’.
How would the American people feel if a meaningless junior member of parliment from somewhere like Australia made a trip to the US so he could look good at home, and the US taxpayers had to foot the bill and got nothing out of it?

I new he was getting desperate but really Mr. McCain – now you want to say that Obama is responsible for the gas prices rising.
Please learn economics so you can stop making irresponsible statements.

Do the German courts tolerate litigation and do they give great judgements? Do they allow abortion and what do they do with those Down’s syndrome babies… The Polizei go to (used to at least) school for four years to be policemen- their actions are final and not scrutinized by their media unless gross abuses occur-
I spent five years in West Germany in the early eighties and if there ever was a person the then West German’s I knew would deplore and really worry about living near the Fulda Gap it would be B H Obama.
