Tony Snow made those boring press conferences fun to watch. In a nice way it looked like Tony was making fun of the reporters.
Rest in peace Tony…

Very sad. Bush has had very few likable people in his entourage, but Tony Snow was an exception. Whether we agreed with him or not, he came across as likable, always avoiding the “I’m better than you” attitude of his predecessor or the lackluster performance of his successor. Tony Snow was a bright spot in an otherwise dark administration. I’m sorry he’s gone.

Seems to me like he was one of the few “good guys” that was left in todays corrupt and self serving political arena.

He was one of the greatest. Can’t believe I’ll never hear that voice again. So sad. Feels like I lost a family member.
RIP, Tony.

Tony Snow was a wonderful person. He was a man of great integrity and amazing courage. He accepted his illness with dignity and grace; and always maintained his sense of humor and that infectious smile. He was a deeply religious man who stayed true to his core beliefs and principles. We conservatives have lost an icon. Tony will be sorely missed. My prayers go out to his family and friends. May God comfort them in knowing that Tony is now with Him.

In my earlier comment about Tony Snow, I forgot to mention one thing he was NOT: arrogant. In this way, he was so very different from most of the present administration.
He came across as a genuine nice guy, or, as my grandmother would have said, “a rose among the thorns”.
Even as a Fox commentator, Tony Snow was able to present his views without “talking down” to his viewers.

Tony Snow was a pleasure to watch, a gentleman, a man of integrity with a friendly demeanor. I disagree with his political views but greatly admired him even while I wondered what on earth he was doing there with that bunch. He stood out as a diamond amongst lumps of coal.

I’m so glad to see there aren’t any of the vicious comments here that seem to be dominating left wing blogs. I’m ashamed of some of my fellow democrats who are doing that.
I didn’t like Snow’s politics, but he put action behind his ideas, and that’s admirable in anyone.
He was too young to die in such a terrible way, and my sympathies go out to his family and friends.
RIP Mr. Snow.

Tony Snow had grace, a wicked sense of humour and a gentleness that emanated from his being.

Tony Snow had something very rare in the media and politics today: class.
May he rest in peace.
First Tim and now Tony.
Two good men gone much too soon. A great
loss to all who care about grace and civility in reporting and yes shaping the news.
May they both be blessed with eternal life.
