When Fox Attacks

After New York Times reporter Jacques Steinberg wrote a story about Fox News Channel that officials at the cable news network apparently did not like, Fox & Friends ran doctored, unflattering photos of the two men.

The altered photo of Steinberg in particular has struck some within the Times building as a tad anti-Semitic.

Times columnist David Carr today — in a larger look at Fox News’ dealings with the media — compares the altered image to "vintage German propaganda, his ears were pulled out, his teeth splayed apart, his forehead lowered and his nose was widened and enlarged in a way that made him look more like Fagin than the guy I work with." And Times television columnist Bill Carter concurs.

Fox News spokesman Brian Lewis disputes the notion that there was any bias at play, calling it "vile and untrue."

Your thoughts?

Fox News is a disgrace. They ahve been a disgrace for many years now. They are worse than the National Enquirer.

Yeah..faux news continues to show it’s bias and uglieness. The sad part is that the MSM allows the likes of Sean Hannity to drive the news cycle. Simply asserting Obama is a marxist does not make it so. They are allowed to assert these lies and other news outlets such as ABC (see the ‘debate’) give it credibility. This is a hugh disappointment because it gives the MSM a air of laziness. Faux needs to combated with dilligent thorough reporting even if it puts a candidate or party in a positive or negitive light. Let the voters draw their own conclusions.

My reaction to this news story is that people shouldn’t watch Fox. They march in lockstop with Rush Limbaugh and contribute no news only right-wing blather. This is a position that I adopted long ago, the latest iteration of it by Fox only further validates my decision.

Would any so called news network who did this kind of thing ever have any credibility again? They do for about one third of Americans, who just don’t care. Anything goes in this America, say anything, someone will believe it, and the big three including ABC are complicit.

Talk about bias, the other two cable news-CNN and especially MSNBC is nothing more than a continuation of the Obama land fanasty.
I am a democrat and voted for democrats all my life; not so this time.
CNN and MSNBC reek of bias.
Before casting stones at Fox; they should actually listen to what the other side offers,
Never have I seen any candidate for the president of the United States been so cuddled by the press and the media.
You would think the media would have learned a lesson after Iraq; but they just continue slamming anyone who don’t buy into their Obama rhetoric. I will continue watching Fox, they do have “fair” and balanced news coverage; moreso than you find in the other networks.

Fox News was the only one who did any vetting of Ochangealot during the Democratic primary. I do not condone their current actions, but it would be interesting if Jake spent as much time focusing on the ORIGINAL problem as he did Fox’s retaliation. But that might border on being a JOURNALIST and God forbid anyone practice that quaint old art any more, eh?

Posted by: beebop | July 7, 2008, 9:21 am 9:21 am

Fox news is the furtherest from fair and balanced as it can be. I always knew this. Problem is so many people believe all this crap from the far right. It doenst have to be true, they say it over and over, (Hannity Rush), and people get brain washed !!

Posted by: Harold Hendrickson | July 7, 2008, 9:26 am 9:26 am

Oh wow, I see you’re shocked by this. ABC should review it’s own coverage of any conservative politician before reporting this. The media can attack any one they want but when one of thier own is attacked, they cry foul.

RogerAiles needs some deep searching investigative documentary about him…
…forget George W, Bush, Cheney and Rove…
Roger Ailes is the guy who America (seriously) should be taking a look at…
someday he will be studied in the realm of worst side of being human and what can go wrong with a society who is not always quick to recognize an evil drive from one person…
…if he wasn’t President of FoxNews…
(I’m not kidding)
I have a feeling the bodies of young victims would be piling up in his basement.
but instead he is pushed by the Nixons, the cigarette company lobbyists, the far right wing (talking the whack job borderline sociopaths with money) and the Bushes… to be able to influence massive amounts of people under the guise of “news”
sad.
I’m sure this came out of something in his “daily directive” that they all receive at the channel.

Oh wow. The media is now eating their own all in the name of ratings. Forget reporting things of importance. At least Fox has been somewhat balanced in coverage this year. Unlike the communist news network (CNN) and the misogyny channel.(MSNBC)
I will say whoever altered that photo, that was just wrong.

yeah fox wammabe news channel they are not fair they lie i watch cnn they are more balanced fox is for mccain msnbc is for obama cnn report facts and truth on both but i have to say fox news should be cancelled because they LIE and make up rumors at least msnbc even though one can see they favor obama but at least they report real news like fox news with terriost fist bump please well i guess my 10 year old and his friends are terriost because they do it please fox news are you ever gonna get REAL!!!!!!

American’s are stupid and lazy and Fox News counts on that.

Our entire media is an embarassment and we just accept it.

Yes, Fox News is oriented to the right, and yes, they are sensationalistic in their newscasts, using too many silly graphics and sound effects. But at least we can get a SOMEWHAT balanced coverage of the news by watching ABC and Fox, which we do at our house.
Fox is not bashing Obama, but at least they aren’t doing his campaigning for him, like most other networks.
And, incidentally, if you think Fox News is “disgusting”, I’m fairly sure your TV set has a gadget to change the channel!

Posted by: Rhys | July 7, 2008, 10:34 am 10:34 am

HaroldHendrickson…Brainwashing is what MSNBC and CNN is doing too! They are brainwashing everybody to vote for Obama. What’s the difference. At least on Fox they give you good and bad on both sides of the Obama BS. They tell you news about Obama that the other cables news never mentions. They choose to leave it out because they don’t want anything negative about Obama. How much good coverage did you see on either channel about Hillary?

Posted by: carolyn | July 7, 2008, 10:40 am 10:40 am

Rodney… that’s funny! Fox’s female anchors are certainly NOT bashful!
There are other funny things on Fox, too, such as how many times have they shown (and will they show) Osama coming down that mountain with his walking stick?
Actually, compared to ABC, Fox’s newscasts are rather amateurish. I prefer Charles Gibson ANY day, but ABC is so involved in BHO’s campaign that it sometimes gets a little hard to stomach.
I actually enjoy watching Bill O’Reilly (when he feels like doing his own program), even though I frequently disagree with him. At least he brings people with opposing views onto his program, unlike some talk-show hosts.
When O’Reilly starts sounding like a televangelist, this is why we record his program, so we can fast-forward those segments.

Fox and ABC had the courage to introduce Obama’s lovely pastor–Rev Wright to the world.
Because of them we saw a glimpse into Obama’s real world and how he chose to spend the last 20 years.
Only now have others began to vet Obama. And some are still reluctant.
I appreciate Fox because America deserves the truth. I thought the altered pictures were funny.

Posted by: riley | July 7, 2008, 11:06 am 11:06 am

Last time I checked, altering photos isn’t illegal. If the NYT includes photos of their people, don’t they use the most flattering image? There are two sides to every story– and every photo. Fox is simply illustrating this concept. Unlike some mainstream news organizations, Fox is not only talking about the Fairness Doctrine, it is practicing it every day. We must fight for this type of honest photo journalism. This is America, isn’t it?

Posted by: JoeOhio | July 7, 2008, 11:12 am 11:12 am

The only program on foxnews which i consider “fair and balance” is the Bill O’Reilly show. Beyond that…nothing. Sean Hannity is bash Obama night every night. Fox and Friends started the Obama muslim rumors (Madrasah). It’s all on y0utube.

As said before, the biggest losers of the election will be the prime time TV networks. They are going where the radio went over a decade ago when talk radio turned the Reagan revolution into a perpetual revolting nightmare of spin, lies and calumny.
The TV generation just woke up to Edward R. Murrow’s worst predictions coming true. Maybe the journalists will sober up but not in this election cycle. Katie Couric got it right and for her reward, CBS is dead last in the market.
Wake me when y’all decide. Somehow I’m not sure this election is the game-changer some believed it to be. Instead, it is the election it is advertised to be.

Posted by: len | July 7, 2008, 11:13 am 11:13 am

Carolyn–you are right. Obama’s corrupt and dirty antics in Chicago are on the net for all the world to see.
But some of his supporters refuse to accept the truth or even venture to find the truth. Or maybe so caught up in Obama’s hype they just don’t care.
Many have never held Obama to any standard whatsoever–evidently his lack of a backbone and integrity are not something they look for in a president.

I never look at Keith (Ranting) Obbermon or Chris (Thrill up my legs) Matthews anymore, or those Obama Robots on CNN. I guess they all received the same memo to fall in line or lose their jobs!! Fox is sometimes too fair and balanced – I wish they would be harder on Obama!! Thank goodness for Fox – they are the best and definitely deserve to be the most watched Cable network!
Hillary was the one – now that she is gone I hope McCain will win. Obama is an empty suit, no substance, a liar, a bigot, no integrity, no judgement, no experience – another Michael Dukakis. Americans should wake up and not support Obama only because he is a Democrat or an AA. I hope people see through Obama – he has never fooled me and never will!!!
If all it takes to be POTUS is to be against the Iraq War from the beginning, heck, 50% of Americans would qualify for the job!!! I don’t know how people fall for that logic, but that is the core of Obama’s credentials!!

“Obama’s [alleged] corrupt and dirty antics” may be on the net but so are Hillary’s, McCain’s and just about ever other politician you can think of. The question really is why do you hold Obama to a different standard than his peers? Why do you spend your days filling up comment sections with Obama’s assoiations to Rezko and Ayers instead of McCain’s involvement with the Keating 5, adultery, Charlie Black’s lobbying ties or Hillary and her connections to travelgate, the FALN terrorist pardons, Norman Hsu or her own connection to William Ayers at her first law firm (to name a few)? If you’re accusing Obama supporters of being ‘blind’ you really need to look in the mirror.

I hardly ever watch Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, but when I do, and especially during multi-channel, concurrent coverage of a single concern…Fox News’ is strictly commentary, and energized for shock-value more than the others. The real problem is that CNN and the others have had to compete for ‘ratings’ with Fox, so they’ve changed themselves, too. It’s quite disgusting.

I find it interesting that Fox reporters and supporters often speak in very fuzzy, generic terms about the “left wing bias” in mainstream media, yet when it comes to specifics, they can seldom actually site many examples in a concrete way, while at the same time, many media watchers seem to be able to document the near-daily innacuracies, bias, half-truths and even fabrications that come out of the Fox news organization.
It is almost comical to even debate what Fox news is. It’s so obvious.

Posted by: tdub | July 7, 2008, 12:37 pm 12:37 pm

Jo – You are correct. Fox keeps us abreast on the latest action by Lohan, Spears and the like. They even carry pictures of them on their front page everyday. Thank goodness for Fox.

Posted by: Ben Straub | July 7, 2008, 12:37 pm 12:37 pm

I am not from here but looks like ABC and NBC are too liberal and FOX is OK but does lean towards conservative. None to be compared with BBC, watch BBC if you want neutral news without added comments at the end of news. We just want the news not what they think of the news. American TV is a shame for a media. Get the news from internet and you get both sides of the issues and you be the judge. My openion is ABC, CBS and NBC all in one side of the balance and Fox on the otherside. We should not be falling for their propaganda!

Posted by: Lawrence Syed Richards | July 7, 2008, 12:38 pm 12:38 pm

Brigette, nice try but it’s obvious you don’t watch Fox.
Everyone is reporting on entertainment junk. If you look at ABC’s website you will see there are usually more entertainment stories than anything else.
Again, nice try, but you lose.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 12:42 pm 12:42 pm

Lawrence, sorry, but your post has me laughing out loud.
The BBC is neutral???!!! LOL. You’re kidding right? The BBC has even been cited as being way too liberal and has gotten into trouble for false reporting.
LOL. Thanks for the good laugh.

I love Fox News because it reports what the democrats are up to while most others tend to skip over that part.
However, I have to admit that ABC has been on the ball lately. Charlie Gibson has been a pleasant surprise in how he goes after both Obama and McCain. Most just don’t do that.
Kudos to ABC. If I have to watch network news, I’ll watch Charlie.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 12:45 pm 12:45 pm

Ben, nice try but like Brigitte you don’t watch Fox News and it’s obvious.
Brit Hume’s show is the most informative around and he doesn’t even mention the people you mentioned.
Again, you lose.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 12:46 pm 12:46 pm

I find it a amazing that FoxNews can make a mockery of the American people by claiming to be fair & balanced, while being blatantly partisan! It plays perfectly to the drones who believe whatever they hear without thought or consideration & accept it as truth. If more Americans had half a brain, Fox News would be non-existant.

Posted by: jerryt | July 7, 2008, 12:47 pm 12:47 pm

Jo – I lost. That stinks. Actually I go to the Fox website pretty much everyday so I guess you lose….ha,ha! Any news site that actually doctors photos deserves to be ridiculed so I guess you lose again!!!

Posted by: Ben Straub | July 7, 2008, 12:51 pm 12:51 pm

Jo – They don’t mention Spears and Lohan. You previously mentioned that FOX isn’t the only one to mention these celebrities so I guess you are contradicting yourself, thereby losing once again, ha, ha!!!

Posted by: Ben Straub | July 7, 2008, 12:54 pm 12:54 pm

Is Natalie Holloway still lost in Aruba?
Better turn on FoxNews and find out.
Oh…I forgot. FoxNews only runs the 24-hour “Natalie Lost in Aruba” stuff when Bush Junior invades the wrong country or Cheney gives Halliburton another billion dollar no-bid contract.
Never mind.

Jo
I’m talking about their entire news programming line up not any one show in particular. Overall it does look like skits from SNL or MadTv.

Posted by: brigitte | July 7, 2008, 12:56 pm 12:56 pm

Brigitte, they all do it, so you can’t single out Fox.
People even made fun of CNN who had 24/7 coverage of Anna Nicole Smith’s death.
So nice try, but you lose again.

This is a example of what I was saying. Altering photos to make people look funny or worse is something you would expect from SNL or MadTV not a so called news network. Wouldn’t you agree Jo?

Posted by: brigitte | July 7, 2008, 12:59 pm 12:59 pm

Jo – How did Brigette lose? You must me mental or something. You just agreed with what she said and said she lost. How does that add up exactly?

Ben, no you contradicted yourself.
Wow, you guys are really humiliating yourself.
Again, the funniest thing is anyone thinking Fox is the only one who has entertainment news.
They ALL do. You’re just ticked that Fox happens to catch the democrats in all their lies and fraud and the others mostly cover it up.
Try to keep up.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:00 pm 1:00 pm

Ben you and Brigitte are both embarrassing yourselves with your silly attacks at Fox.
Just be honest and admit you can’t stand them because they expose your party for what it is while you’re use to 99% great coverage of democrats by the other news outlets.
In other words, the truth hurts. Especially when you’re not use to it.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:01 pm 1:01 pm

Jo – I never said the others didn’t contain entertainment so how exactly am I contradicting myslef? You lose yet again sir. At least you make this entertaining!

Posted by: Ben Straub | July 7, 2008, 1:01 pm 1:01 pm

Jo – Did I mention I am a Ron Paul republican. That’s right I am a member of the same party that you are. Pretty hilarious really. We are going down because of your ilk and what you guys have done to our party. Therefore we are both going to lose!

Posted by: Ben Straub | July 7, 2008, 1:03 pm 1:03 pm

Fact: ALL of the 24 hour news outlets have a LOT of entertainment stuff.
24 hours is a lot of time to fill.
But if you want to know what is really going on, watch Brit Hume, Neil Cavuto, Megyn Kelly, Bill Hemmer, Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity, etc.
They’ll spill the ugly truth on the democrats, and it bugs the crap out of them. Good! :)

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:03 pm 1:03 pm

Brigitte, they all do it, so you can’t single out Fox.

I thought we were discussing the altering of pictures by a “news network” Fox News. I don’t remember CNN altering any pictures. Are you saying CNN did?

Posted by: brigitte | July 7, 2008, 1:03 pm 1:03 pm

fox generally is defensive about the worst president in U.S. history and his supporters who, collectively, are slowly destroying all that makes America great…..not sure what that makes them, except that it means they are probably as dangerously ignorant as those they generally seek to protect

Posted by: chris | July 7, 2008, 1:04 pm 1:04 pm

I guess you guys have missed those times when CNN & others took pictures at angles to have weird menacing backgrounds when republicans are on stage.
We’ve seen plenty of this from the mainstream liberal media.
So don’t expect any fury from Fox fans.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:05 pm 1:05 pm

Love to hear the whining from Fox haters after what? 40 plus years of having the mainstream liberal media all on their side.
Now the truth is out there and they can’t stand it.
LOL. Love it.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:06 pm 1:06 pm

Jo – There is a difference between camera angle and big noses. Fox has some ligitamate news, but doctoring noses?

Posted by: Ben Straub | July 7, 2008, 1:07 pm 1:07 pm

by the way, fox news does have a few good elements to it, shepard smith, alan colmes, etc., but they are largely overshadowed by the ignorance and false sense of arrogance by those such as hannity and o’reilly (though o’reilly has displayed behavior which suggests he is the less intelligent of the two)

Posted by: chris | July 7, 2008, 1:08 pm 1:08 pm

Yes, there have been plenty of uncoverings of fraud on CNN, AP, UPI, etc. etc. with photoshopping, labeling the picture of Bush with ass&*%^ etc. I guess you guys missed the stories about the liberal Boston Globe and LA Times who photoshopped pics of US soldiers to make them look evil.
It’s all been revealed on Fox. So again, don’t expect any fury from us.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:09 pm 1:09 pm

At least Hannity, O’Reilly admit their bias. Those are labled as OPINION shows.
The other news outlets pretend to be unbiased journalists who present the news in their biased way.
Again, you guys lose.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:10 pm 1:10 pm

Jo – Those other outlets were outed, and now it is FOX’s turn yet again. This article is focused on FOX’s new blunder, and I find it pretty funny.

Posted by: Ben Straub | July 7, 2008, 1:11 pm 1:11 pm

Ben, actually I think the photoshopping of LA Times & Boston Globe to make a heroic US soldier look like he’s aiming his gun at small children is MUCH worse.
Oh, you didn’t hear about that? That’s right, because you don’t watch Fox.
So again, don’t expect fury from us.
Lol. This is fun.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:11 pm 1:11 pm

Ben, yes they were outted. By FOX NEWS. Thank God.
If not for them and talk radio, they would have gotten away with it.
So you prove my point.
Thanks.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:12 pm 1:12 pm

even-handed, neutral news such as NPR, PBS and BBC are very much centrist and as unbiased as any news out there….of course, the center is still to the left of the often-ignorant right wing mentality, so from an inferior 2-dimensional form of thinking, I guess it might be correct for some with a conservative ideology to consider those news organizations as “liberal”

Posted by: chris | July 7, 2008, 1:13 pm 1:13 pm

Jo – I didn’t here about it because I don’t read the Globe or LA Times. I read the FOX website, but I do not watch Hannity or OReilly because I find them arrogant and reckless in there molding of minds such as yours.

Posted by: Ben Straub | July 7, 2008, 1:14 pm 1:14 pm

Jo you are embarrassing and losing credibility in the process by contining to defend the indefensible. Camera angles and altering photos are entirely different things. You do know that don’t you?

Posted by: brigitte | July 7, 2008, 1:15 pm 1:15 pm

isn’t it hilarious that neo-conservatives are so easily amused by such simple things as big words and thoughts?

Posted by: chris | July 7, 2008, 1:15 pm 1:15 pm

Chris, for me to be a neo-con, I would have had to be a liberal once and changed my mind.
I never was a liberal. I’ve always thought for myself.
And if you think PBS, NPR and BBC are centrist then you have had a lobotomy.
Nice try though, but you lose again.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:17 pm 1:17 pm

jo….so you do have the same observational skills as an amoeba, seeing only left and right while unable to look up and down…..now that’s funny!

Posted by: chris | July 7, 2008, 1:17 pm 1:17 pm

Brigitte, yes, Fox shouldn’t have done it. But New York Times is such a joke I’m sure they couldn’t resist.
Again, your selective fury is hilarious. You could care less when the others do it. Oh, wait, you probably didn’t HEAR about it when the liberal media did it, did you?
Only Fox News bothers to report that stuff.
So again, you make my point.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:18 pm 1:18 pm

Chris, since research studies have PROVEN those news outlets you mention all tilt way left, YOU’RE the one who looks like a fool.
Sorry, but you do.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:19 pm 1:19 pm

Jo – Left? Right? Actually one of my favorites is the News Hour with Jim Lehrer. Seems to be pretty factually accurate without all the pomp and circumstance.

Jo you’re losing it. The Fox news hi jinks is what I thought we were discussing. Not other news outlets. However, for the record no news out should alter photos in the manner Fox news did.

Posted by: brigitte | July 7, 2008, 1:24 pm 1:24 pm

Ben, one show out of the whole lineup?
And now it’s balanced?
Sure. Lol.

Posted by: Jo | July 7, 2008, 1:24 pm 1:24 pm

1. The pictures were altered with very little skill. If there intent was to mislead anyone then they didn’t do a very good job.
2. In the video seconds after the pictures they show probably the same distorted pictures, with a man holding onto a dog. 1 picture replacing the face of the man and 1 picture replacing the face of the dog. A reasonable person could come to the conclusion that Fox is altering pictures in this section. Duh!
3. From: Wikipedia
“Caricatures can be:
* Insulting or complimentary and can serve a political purpose or be drawn solely for entertainment. Caricatures of politicians are commonly used in editorial cartoons, while caricatures of movie stars are often found in entertainment magazines.”
Hm! Political and Entertainment. Clever like a *!
Fox goes to far sometimes. But frankly after watching MSNBC one night when the anchors job could have been described as: inciting to riot and preaching hate towards Bush. I decided to do a ritual cleansing and will not watch MSNBC ever again. Thank You!

Posted by: carlton lee | July 7, 2008, 1:25 pm 1:25 pm

Jo – Unbiased truth is what I am interested in. That is usually why I go through all of the outlets including FOX to reach some conclusion on what is going on. Jim Lehrer seems to be a good one without big noses.

Posted by: Ben Straub | July 7, 2008, 1:26 pm 1:26 pm

Carlton, thanks. Nobody should do it, but to be selectively outraged only when Fox News does it is what is ridiculous and that’s what I’m pointing out.

Posted by: Ben Straub | July 7, 2008, 1:34 pm 1:34 pm

It’s tragic that objective reporting (NYT, BBC, etc…) are continuously attacked by bought-for, intentionally-biased media (Fox, Wall Street Journal). Conservatives prove this point consistently by believing a liberal bias in ‘news’ which they don’t like… Oddly, many conservatives are not intending to solely support the ‘rich’ (which is the point of Murdoch’s editorial efforts), but they are just not perceptive enough to recognize the attack on a egalitarian society….

Posted by: Tony J | July 7, 2008, 1:55 pm 1:55 pm

I watch MSNB,CNN, FOX, ESPAN. The more information the better I feel about my decisions. It’s always something too far to the right, too far to the left. American can make up their minds without the silly commentators. They are amusing but certainly I never take their point of view seriously. I take my point of view seriously. Great job all of you.

Posted by: Honay Rogers | July 7, 2008, 2:08 pm 2:08 pm

Wow. I read the first 20 comments or so, (Fox is typically way out of line, in my opinion) and it turns out most people are predictable idiots who only want their prejudices reinforced.
No one seeking the light.
Physicians, heal thyselves. Please. For the love of God, do it before another 50,000 women in Iraq are forced into prostitution. The ‘liberal’ media has got to stop suppressing such information!

Newsflash: Fox News is a JOKE. It had been a joke for the last 10 years. It’s just that people have finally started to notice.

Posted by: Jayne | July 8, 2008, 1:18 am 1:18 am

I have a perhaps a unique take on this affair. Recently I have completed an associate degree in photography and I also have a degree in traditional art. I have used Photoshop extensively and have done photo manipulations in darkrooms so I feel I can give a good critique of the “quality” of Fox’s work.
My verdict, it sucks.
This inept hit job is so bad that if I had turned that in for a grade in my Introduction to Computer Graphics class I would have been laughed out of the room, with me in tears. I’m joking but not by much.
In addition, my father was a damn good journalist back in the day and ingrained in me the importance of journalistic ethics at an early age, even though I held no ambition to follow in his footsteps. In all honesty this is the same type of yellow journalism that demeans the nobler aspects of the profession. I also have a suggestion for Fox News.
Please, please find a half dead member of the Nazi propaganda machine to improve your skill set.
If your going to be evil and corrupt, at least do it well.

This is the kind of story you are reporting on? Do you know how bad you look trying to knock down the #1 cable channel in the country? You look weak and feeble.
Why don’t you try reporting on something relevant? We have successfully reached 13 of the 18 objectives on our way to helping Iraq be free, and NONE of the major networks have said anything about it.
You are in the bag for the Democrats, and you always will be. The sad part is that there are many people out there who just don’t realize how poorly they have been treated by the major networks. As more and more people open their eyes, you’ll see your viewership drop (more than it already has). In 10 years, ABC News will be jsut a footnote.

Posted by: Scott | July 8, 2008, 9:01 am 9:01 am

Steinberg looks like Quasimodo, the gruesome and tragic character from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Fox is actually showing some class by invoking a great literary figure such as Victor Hugo.
