Wolfson on Fox: Hillary Apparently Not Being Vetted for VP
Howard Wolfson, the former top aide for Sen. Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, told Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity tonight that his former boss does not appear to be on Sen. Barack Obama’s short list for VP.
Watch HERE.
Has she been asked to participate in the vetting process for VP? Hannity asked.
"Not as far as I know," Wolfson said, repeating with other sources close to Clinton tell ABC News.
On the other hand, Wolfson noted, "there is more information about Hillary Clinton available in the public record than just about any other public figure in America, she’s been vetted now for a long time."
Wolfson noted more than 30 years of taxes that Clinton has made public, as well as various financial disclosure forms and the fact that she ran for president for 18 months and was heavily scrutinized.
"There’s a lot of information out about her that I know Sen. Obama is privy to," Wolfson said, "and that may be sufficient for him to make whatever decision he wants to make."
Well, in the sense that Barack Obama already knows all he needs to know about Hillary Clinton to make this decision, I think that’s right.
If that’s what Wolfson means.
But I’m not sure it is.

It would seem like Hillary, when she’s getting her coffee in the morning before work, she cannot put even a little bit of white cream in the black coffee. I would feel worse when Obama win than when Bush won.

Why can’t the Obama campaign figure out that their fundraising is down cause the people who had been giving, you know the people who were new to the political process he’d been attracting?? Well they’re afraid the money might go to Clinton. These are those independents and new people the polls show are not warm to her. That’s the dilemma for Obama., if he wants those voters he needs to stop catering o much to Clinton. He looks weak and like he’s not confident for whatever reason.

Obama will tax and tax to pay for his mhand-outs.

Hillary would out smart, up stage and shine brighter than Obama ever could….he knows it. The political arena is boring now that she isn’t in the limelight (Bill too). As far as being the agent of change/liberalism, Obama is now moving to the middle, sort of where Hillary has been all along. He’s no agent of change unless you’re measuring it by his skin color, and I am not. Millions of us wanted Hillary on the top of the ticket and him no where near the WH. Whether he asks her or not (and he won’t, he can’t even remember to bring up donating to her campaign debt yesterday), I, for one, couldn’t vote for him if Jesus Christ were his running mate.
AVOID THE PAIN, VOTE McCAIN, HILLARY 2012!

nij – You said “Hillary, the special one is running as independent.” I sure hope you are right!! NOTHING could ever split the Democratic party any wider apart than to have two Democrats running at the same time as a Republican… So, Hillary ’08!!! HURRAY!!

By running against her in the primary, I am absolutely sure that the Obama campaign has already vetted Hillary Clinton.
There really doesn’t need to be any more vetting on their part for VP.

If Obama wins, and if had Hillary as his VP, then he’d have BOTH a “President in exile” and a “President in waiting” sitting over on the corner of 34th Street and Massachusetts Avenue – living less than 3 miles away – all the while, plotting the overthrow of his Administration.
After all, as VP, she’d be the first person in the presidential line of succession, becoming the new President of the United States upon the death, resignation, or removal of Obama.
What a comforting way to spend the next 4 years of your life, looking over your shoulder, wondering what the Clintons were getting ready to do to you…

Obama’s greatest need is a national security VP. Hillary supported the Iraq War, the single greatest strategic failure in American history. That’s hardly justification for a promotion.

Let me get this straight, Obama has to take time out of his campaign to help retire Clinton’s debt, and now bring her on as VP? What next, pick out a desk for Bill? Don”t answer that.

We all hope that the Clintons, creepy Bill and the caravan of oddities that follow them, will go back to the circus from which they escaped. They think they are some how vital to the Democratic party. In fact, they have been a disgrace aptly demonstrated in Hillary’s poorly managed campaign, where she was knocked off by a rookie. The core of the Democratic party and the DNC do not like these thugs.

America’s #1 Psychic still stands by her prediction that Hillary will be our next President
I do not believe in psychics. I am a secular humanist. When every poll is showing that Hillary was losing, I heard that one psychic, Michelle Whitedove is predicting since last year that Hillary will win. Then we had more bad news for Hillary. I wondered whether the psychic is just guessing or really predicting using her own techniques whether scientific or not. I am curious to know whether based on latest news, she would back track. Naturally after Obama coronation, I went to her site to see how she defends her prediction.
To my great surprise, she is standing by her prediction even in her yesterday’s update.
Her latest updated prediction is
=Hillary will not concede and drop out. Hillary is reserving her right keep her delegates so she can reverse her suspension and take her bid for Presidency all the way to theDemocratic National Convention in Denver August 25-28.
=My future vision remains the same, I see Hillary being sworn in.
=Obama is now ego centered instead of solution driven. He is all talk and lacks a real a game plan. You will hear this in his upcoming interviews.
= He has more scandals that will continue to come to light that will continue to tarnish his reputation. He will take a beat down in the media. When this happens the super-delegates can change their vote and go with Hillary.
= McCain will not be the president. The 2008 Election will be a win for the Democrats, although closely won.
Her website says she correctly predicted last two presidential elections (win for W)
Let us wait and see.
Needless to say, I shall be happy if she proved correct.

Hillary hasn’t been fully vetted and probably won’t/can’t be. The Clintons are in no hurry to release their full 2007 taxes (and some potentially interesting sources of her husband’s income), the donors to the Clinton presidential library, or have the information about the 140+ final-day-in-office Clinton pardons (many of which were very controversial) examined. The potential for conflicts of interest are very great. It’s also highly unlikely that Bill Clinton will agree to have his business dealings or personal behavior under a microscope. Despite claims to the contrary during the primary, the Clintons were never vetted post-2000.

if Hillary is at least not the VP, then total rest in peace for Obama’s presidential ambition. Even african-americans like Jesse Jackson don’t like him anymore because he’s microscopically seeing him as ineffective…washington insiders are not confident with him as president….

Bill Clinton who is younger than Obama when Bill won the presidential race in 1992 was only 42 but he was strategically smarter, diplomatic and knowledgeable. He didn’t flip-flop on crucial issues during his campaign for office that’s why he won.

Please stop telling us that Hillary has been vetted. True, she has been in the Public eye for a long time. The Clintons are not without drama, that is for sure. And maybe the media and other Washington insiders know them well. But that doesn’t mean the public does. I learned a whole lot about the Clintons (both Hillary and Bill), during the primaries. I learned that Hillary would stand up in front of the nation and tell us bold faced lies over and over again without batting an eye. the only aspect of that bothered her was that she was caught in the lie and couldn’t back away from it.
The rumors that she and members from her campaign spread about Obama, went beyond politics. They ran a Southern Strategy campaign and expoited the raicial bias of a lot of voters. All of this was done against a fellow democrat who they tried to cripple so that he would not be a viable nominee.
I jumped off the Hillary wagon when I was watching 60 minutes and I heard her insinuate that Obama could be Muslim. Not that It would make any difference to me, but she did it to perpetuate the rumors her campaign had already initiated, and she was well aware that it would make a difference to many ‘low information’ voters.
Hillary is a very seasoned politician, she knew exactly what she was doing.
The number 1 criteria for VP is that they can be trusted and Hillary has failed that test.

I wonder what in the world more MARY and others who ask want to know about the clinton’?
If all the rumors they have read and heard in the tabloids are true?
There is a WHOLE cottage industry in the msm build and supported and counting on people to want to know anything they can infer, makeup, or just out and right lie about the clinton’ and hope and trust you will believe it.
Everyone was wanting to know when, when, WHEN, will the clinton’s release their taxes. WHEN they did, the msm, was saying, well everyone will be going over them with a fine tooth comb.
well come tues or wed, nothing much to shout about, I remember one guy on fox saying, the clinton’s were suckers for having paid so much in taxes.
I as a clinton supporter, do not want sen. clinton to be obama’ vp.
his ship is sinking, just as I thought it would. l
this was supposed to be the dems year.
and everytime obama opens his mouth off script, their year is getting dimmer and dimmer.
the dems should have taken a chance on the smart girl in the group this time.
Posted by: Rk | July 11, 2008, 9:27 am 9:27 am
some people need to go back and really check the facts, it is common knowledge now, and anyone in the public that cares to know can know, it was the obama people who played the race card.
they needed to. it was never to the clinton’ advantage or need to play the race card. but obama and his crew needed to get the black support from clinton.
when joe biden made the statement he did. we all found out how this thing would run. everyone called his a racist.
obama ran out to a mic and said he didn’t think what biden said was racist.
when the supposed statemens by bill were made, no obama to the rescue, it was politcally gainful for him to let it ride that bill was a racist.
obama could not get the black vote or anyone else just on his policy deal from sen. clinton, (and no there were not close in policy-he copied her, and she was the orginator and had more will to make her plans work
everytime obama opens his mouth without a script, he messes something up.
and this stuff with his surrogates or spokes people, saying things on tv, and then saying sorry, and him on tv, accepting the sorry. is just like a soap opera.

Obama won’t select Hillary. He’s too insecure as a man, and as a politician to have someone equal to or more competent than he is in his space. Afterall, it’s all about Him! Denver’s Mile-High Stadium and the entire city of Berlin are too small for this U.S. President wannabe’s ego.

she is certainly more competent.
I listened to him yesterday talk about john mcain’ plan for the economy,
obama stood there and made joke after joke about mccain, and never told us what he would do.
and please obama supporters don’t tell me to go to his website to see where he stands on issues, i have read his website already.
it is far enough in the game now that obama should be able to is short sentences tell us where he stands, and what he stands for. and he still cannot.

Hillary was and is a terrible candidate. Look how she ran her campaign. These candidates look at the polls. Having Hillary as VP loses votes. The people on this list are too blinded by Clinton hysteria to realize that.
Look at realclearpolitics. Obama is winning the key states and is 6 to 8 points ahead of McCain.
The Clintons are creepy thugs. They claim to have had something to do with the Internet economy of the 90′s. In fact they had nothing to do with it. Do they look like technology savy people?

Hillary did not lose because of a bad campaign. The reallity was that our mainstream corporate media attacked her and vilified her day in and day out 24/7, while puting Obama while praisng Obama 24/7. In essence, the corporate media once interferred with our election process by being overtly bias in the same way that Gore was portrayed as a serial liar by these same people, nd how the swiftboaters were given legitemacy by the MSM

Well, if there were any doubt about it, Hillary’s “Nay” vote on the FISA bill ends the discussion. She certainly wasn’t showing solidarity with Obama on that one, and given all the flack he’s taking for it, I think her vote says it all.

Many strong Hillary supporters don’t want her to take VP. She has a good career in the Senate, is happy as the Senator from NY. She has stated that she does not want to be VP and will only take it if requested as a favor to the party. There is even a petition signed by her supporters asking her not to accept VP.

Obama is a horrible candidate and HRC outshines him in every regard. He can’t make her VP because she’s way more popular and effective and smarter than he is…she’d outshine him. Obama didn’t win the nomination…anyone who knows anything about the Democratic Party process knows this. He was declared the presumptive nominee through delegate reallocation and voter disenfranchisement…but, super delegates don’t vote until the convention. It’ll be interesting to see what happens then. Obama is so awful, even his delegates will want to vote for someone who can win in November — HRC.

Obama is making a serious mistake in not considering Hillary for VP. He is hardly a man of substance; a flip-flopping changeling who turns on his most ardent supporters. He needs Hillary’s 18 million votes if he is to have a chance of winning. Otherwise myself and many others will vote for McCain in November.

If he is the nominee, I will be voting for McCain because Obama just cannot be trusted. With all his flip flops (public campaign finance, FISA, late term abortion, gun control, faith-based initiatives) I have no idea what he stands for (if anything). He definitely is not THE ONE.
