Durbin: ‘McCain Has Had a 12-and-0 Run’

ABC News’ David Chalian and Teddy Davis Report:

The co-chairman of Barack Obama’s campaign said Monday that John McCain has been on a "12-and-0 run" leading up to the Democratic National Convention.

"He loves basketball, you know. And plays it — still plays it –  much better than I ever did," said Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin (D), referring to Obama. "And we talked about the game today and we realized that over the last week, or ten days, that John McCain has had a 12-and-0 run here in this basketball game."

"But we know the momentum can shift," he added. "And it’s going to shift, starting in Denver."

Durbin’s description of McCain being on a "12-and-0 run" was a startling assertion from a campaign that has rarely acknowledged weaknesses. While Durbin was optimistic that momentum was about to return to Obama, his characterization of McCain being the candidate with momentum comes even after Obama’s vice presidential roll-out and McCain’s Politico interview in which he referred a question about how many houses he owns to his staff.

Durbin made his comments to reporters attending a breakfast sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver.

commie, you may be another very loving McSame supporter who’s success will bring America’s decline: economicaly, moraly and politicaly. America cannot afford another 4 years of Republican Regime. God save America from McWBush.

America is worried about Obama being grossly under-qualified to run the country and his fickle positions. Not how many houses John McCain’s wife owns.
Democrat for McCain

It’s pathetic that 0-bama’s success in Denver has to depend on speeches by the Clintons.

Well, there was the house story that got played by the media and then there was McCain’s agreeing with the lady at his event that we needed the draft reinstated that got no air time to speak of.
McCain is getting some really good treatment by the media is the problem. The old and senile flip-flopper has them in his backpocket.
If you want the draft back and more bad economic times, vote McCain.

If McCain used that “6 gun mentality” with Russia the way GW did with Iraq, you can all go kiss you 401k’s goodbye. (and everything else)

Brandon – Just how does Obama have more experience than Bill Clinton had?
Bill Clinton was the Gov of AK for 12 years before he ran for President.
Please explain…..

Shouldn’t the comment about not knowing how many houses he owns make him 11-1 for the week. And the comment about 5 million being rich, so I guess that makes mc-more-war 10-2 for the week. Obama/Biden 2008!!!

They say Barack needs more substance, let me remind you that Faith is the Substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen!
On Meet the Press,Tom Brokaw asked Speaker Pelosi a question on the tighening of the race in which she responded:
“REP. PELOSI: it’s a close poll in either way. But I’m very confident about Senator Obama’s success because these polls are about likely voters. They’re people who vote in the last two elections. Senator Obama has and Senator Clinton, too, has attracted millions more people to the political process, some who have never voted, some who haven’t voted for a long time. So I don’t think that the – I think it’s a OK poll, he’s ahead and that’s good, but I think that his support is much stronger than that. I’m very confident about the success that we’ll have in November, and then the success for jobs and health care and education in–come January.” From MTP, 8/24/08
However, MSM, is very aware that they are only giving part of the picture regading polls and that the polling data cannot in anyway give an accurate accounting of the true picture due to the thousands of new applicants. However, GOP-owned media wants to give the PERCEPTION that Barack is slipping in the polls and that the race close.
MSM also continuses to say Barack is not specific when he is and has been very specific in his speeches on how we must solve our problems today on a myriad of issues, another lie they want to leave in the minds of the American public. GOP-owned media likes to say he has no experience, a total fabrication. Some men are born with a certain talent or genuis, example a genuis to play an instrument or paint without any formal training. Some people are born with certain talents and Barack was born to be a leader of men in enabling to unite and tackle problems which have too long been ignored. We are at a crossroads and we have a profound decision to make on which way the United States will go. Will we continue to spiral downwards into decay or will we pick ourselves up out of GOP domination and control which has done nothing for the American people and bring back the American dream. However, we live in the time fortunately where every eye shall see and every ear shall hear and people are not as dumb as GOP-owned MSM would like them to be.
We must not give into panic, those of us who support Barack Obama. We must remain hopeful as his slogan reminds us. There are going to be pitfalls in the road our strength is in our confidence that we will overcome. As Rep. Jessie Jackson, Jr. stated today in regards to the Democratic Party – this is not a week to talk about losing, this is a week to talk about winning!

McCain is the bankers man. Perpetual war, police state tactics, no accountablilty for corporate crime, fraud and abuse, and ALL at the taxpayers dime, while illegal immigrants suck up the rest of the wealth and we all die with no health care, in poverty, while our troops are dying overseas protecting profits for these same bankers, while we starve and are offered posioned GMO food because, “they’re too many people to feed in America” since corporate Agribusiness gets paid to send our food overseas through the market, (even buying our right to our own WATER!) and our farmers get bought off with subsides and strict regulations. Welcome to end of the road, and McCain is the man to take us there, and if Obama won’t, Hilliary’s crew will see to it that Biden will…

Dems are shaking….nervous about that BUMP that bozo has never got….after Hillary dropped out and after his world tour….which I think hurt him more. His ego was front and center in Germany when his campaign had to pay biggest selling German rock band to get 200,000 out in the park for a free concert.
Spent $500,000 to repaint his jet and paint over the large American flag on the tail of the plane and put his “O” logo instead…..ashamed of our country abroad.
We can’t afford this loser to lower our standing as the #1 country in the world.
WHEN WILL NOBAMA GET THE DOUBLE DIGIT LEAD? KERRY WAS 14 POINTS AHEAD BEFORE THE CONVENTION!

John McCain’s son Andrew was on the board of the Silver State Bancorp Bank that went belly up a week after Andrew McCain resigned for “personal reasons”
“A week after Mr. McCain’s departure, the Henderson, Nev., company reported a loss of $62.7 million in the second quarter and said its capital — the bank’s cushion to absorb losses — had eroded significantly. At the same time, Silver State announced the resignations of its chief executive and chairman.”

BKMC – Actually, God has nothing to do with it. It has more to do with the fact that there are people out there who are just plain lacking brains. If McCain is elected, don’t blame God. Blame America. We will get exactly what we deserve. Unfortunately.

When did the MSM become the “GOP-owned MSM”??? Are we living in a different USA? Maybe they’re finally waking up from the Kool-Aid stupor and realizing that THIS messiah doesn’t walk on water!

Will never care about McCain’s joke comment at Saddleback about 5 million is rich (he knew when he said it, it would be taken out of context), or the fact that his wife has many real estate holdings he’s not interested in. they have 3 condos they live in and their home in Sedona….the other stuff isn’t anything they live in and I don’t care, nor do millions of American…..as long AS THEY MOVE INTO THE WHITE HOUSE.

William Ayers. Where are the University of Illinois-Chicago documents showing the working relationship between Obama and the domestic terrorist William Ayers?

Obama’s mentor in Hawaii Franklin Davis was a Communist and had group sex with underage women. I know it sounds crazy, but look it up for yourselves.

The Olympics was only the latest evidence that America is not as strong as she used to be. A communist country effectively used their rising middle-class to put on the greatest show ever AND win the most gold medals. There were just too few Moms’s and Dad’s like Michael Phelp’s or Shawn Johnson’s who’s sacrifice was enough to propel their kids to the top. The rest were too distracted by mortgage failures, medical expenses, gas prices and educational budget-cuts, all problems that grew during two+ decades of rising corporate tax-cuts and profits.
This election is possibly the last chance to save the working middle-class and everything it does for this country. It is unbelievable that many voters are still voting based on identity politics…”my vote will only go to a ‘woman’ or ‘war vet’ or “someone more like me” Wake-up America. The election is not a popularity contest. It is your future.

Please pray that Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden are touched by the Holy Spirit and accept and promote the sanctity of life. With this, their other positions will be able to be examined; without this, they solely turn their heads to the mutilation of the unprotected in the womb

How to Become a Better Shooter
The secret of all great shooters
You see great shooters, and I’m talking about the real pure shooters in the game, knocking down shots from all over the court. What is their secret?
Practice and repetition.
Good shooting isn’t an accident, doesn’t happen by mistake, and isn’t the result of half-hearted or lazy practice habits. Really great shooting is the result of shooting thousands, or even tens of thousands of practice shots from all over the court. It is the result of practicing your shot day in and day out, and week after week so that you groove your form, and shooting the ball is second nature for you.
A great shot is the result of establishing muscle memory so that the shooting motion is nearly automatic, and you don’t have to consiously think about your shot mechanics…you just shoot the ball with perfect form, just like you’ve practiced thousands and thousands of times before.
That is really the only way to get good and stay good: use good form, and practice it over, and over, and over again. Then practice it some more. Repetition is the key to grooving your shot during the off-season, and keeping it dialed in during the season.

bhrandom, you have been challanged by some of the folks posting here, I can’t wait to hear you defend your position, your position is utterly absurd, but I love humor so let’s hear more of your infinite wisdom. I have a picture of you in my head. The head of a jackass with your body attached. Hmmm that sounds strangly Democratic.

I love Hillary. Obama has the first important decision of his campaign and he blew it by not picking her. It was a slap in the face to 18million voters. He is not for change. He picked a very standard issue white guy for VP. wow. different. Barack just basically announced, “I don’t care about women” when he didn’t pick Hillary. I will never vote for him. At least McCain is a man of honor. Obama is a liar and a fake.
