Sorry! Obama and Biden are not men of this person. They might represent the views of some of the less informed, but I will support McCain and whoever he picks! McCain by himself is better than Obama and Biden together!

ALL the stars are in People magazine -
obama thinks he is a star – his entire campaign is one big staged show – all FAKE – obama is a FRAUD – he will never be elected. Too bad – he should of picked Hillary – now all 18 Million voters will have to turn out for McCain.

I just finished reading up on McCain’s health care proposal, and I have to say its the weakest one I’ve ever seen. He wants to eliminate the tax writeoff for employers for employer based health plans. That effectively means raising employer taxes by a substantial amount, and leaving them no tax incentive to offer health insurance. McCain says he’ll offer an individual tax writeoff for what amounts to half the current average individual health insurance cost. He claims that this will reduce costs because it will increase competition, but he seems oblivious to the fact that individuals have little if any bargaining power with insurers. It’ll be worse for people who are sick, especially chronically ill or congenital, who will most likely lose any hope of coverage.

How arrogant of Biden to comment on the McCain’s houses. The McCain’s main house is a condo in Scottsdale, and not a Compound of a couple of aches like Biden’s or the Kennedy compound.
Mrs. McCain owns other houses which she inherited and they are in a family trust. McCain owns just the condo with his wife.
Obama is so petty and small.
A true American will only vote for Senator John McCain, the hero.

However did we get anyone to vote for John Kennedy? or Franklin Delano RoosevelT?
And you have to admit, they both turned out to be rather good at the job.

Obama supporters keep saying they don’t need Hillary’s supporters, nor do they need Liberals’ votes. Since Obama never had the vote of Middle America or women’s votes in general, what does that leave him with? Young voters, elitists, and African Americans… sounds like a winning combination (hahaha)
By picking Biden, Obama is emulating George Bush picking Cheney, as someone who has the experience, and knows how to “work” Washington.
Obama is just a drama queen who plays the world as his stage. Nothing more, nothing less. He does not have the substance to lead this country in the troubled times we’re in! He is ALL gimmick, and while that may work in Hollywood, it counts for nothing in the real world.

Maybe People is giving Obama as much money as they gave Brad and Angelina for pictures of their twins.
If so — Obama may be able to stop being jealous of McCain’s houses and buy a few more houses of his own.
He is so petty.
And Biden should talk — he lives in a “compound”(like the Kenndy’s). How many homes do they own?
Posted by: gracie | August 24, 2008, 12:30 am 12:30 am
Well I agree with Hannah.
I believe there were large numbers of Hillary supporters who were only paying temporary lip service support to Obama (because HRC asked them to) because they believed (or hoped) that he might pick her as V.P.
I knew as soon as someone other than Hillary was selected (which I never doubted), those temporary supporters would drop Obama like a hot potato.
Just depends on what the actual number of these supporters is to be able to determine what the damages are to Obama’s numbers. I do believe there are enough of them to make a difference though.

Obama dissed his supporters by sending out the text message after the world already knew Biden was his VP pick – after promising they’d be first to know if they’d only help him build a million dollar marketing list of cell phone numbers.
Then he sent out the text message at 3 a.m. – an obvious slap at Hillary and her supporters over the infamous 3 a.m. phone call ad.
Gotta hand it to Obama. It isn’t every politician who can slap down both his supporters and detractors in one fell swoop!

Mike–if you read Obama’s plan for government control of every individual’s health care, forcing employers to cover their employees or be faced with a punitive tax is hardly incentivizing. Please note that we have socialized medicine in our US Military and “public health” abounds as models. If Public Health is so fabulous, why isn’t the current system being built on? Rationing and lack of quality service is an inevitable by-product of socialized medicine–there are plenty of templates around the world that prove that.

Biden is the 3RD MOST liberal member of the U. S. Senate. He is more liberal than 94% of the Senate on economic issues; 88% of the Senate on social issues; and 94% of the Senate on foreign issues. His composite “Liberal” score is 94.2%.
Both Obama and Biden are further to the left than Bernie Sanders, who comes in fourth. So McCain is at a high point of his campaign and is behind in almost every poll (6 points in the latest ABC poll) I really don’t see how McCain wins the contest. Even when he has had the field to himself for 2 weeks (when Obama was on holiday) he could only get it back to a a narrow 1-2 point gap. I do think that McCain simply cannot win this election- that may not be entirely his fault, but its hard to imagine what could happen to Obama to lose this thing.

Peach: “Senator McCain has donated the royalties from every one of his five books to charity”
to be more precise: HIS OWN CHARITY FUND.
And where did this ‘Charity Fund’ donate that money? Private schools his OWN CHILDREN attended.
So much for ‘charity’. It was a way to reduce his income (tax deductibles) while at the same time keeping the money for the benefit of his own family.
Posted by: Willem van Oranje | August 24, 2008, 1:16 pm 1:16 pm
Do you REALLY want to compare the charitable giving of JM to BHO? One give houses to their relatives to live in. The other has a brother in Kenya living on $12 per YEAR and doesn’t receive a dime from Barry and Michelle.
Oh, I forgot. Barry proposed the US government set up a program to give money to his brother. But DON”T TOUCH his money.

>>> Except possibly for his adopted daughter, all of Mccain’s kiddies have graduated from these schools long ago… and even if they weren’t they did not partake of this particular bounty!
And anyone can choose the charity to which he wishes to donate!
The Clintons donated tons of money to the Aids cause.
Charity is a gift which should not be denigrated!
So when was YOUR last foray into charitable gift giving, Mr Tangerine?
When was Obama’s? an and what percentage of his income did it amount to?
There! I split an infinitive; I think I’ll donate my half to you!

Rodney: I heard Michelle telling the story about how they both had to earn their way. Let me go on record to say Obama was never brought poor. His mother was educated, he went to good schools and his grandmother paid his way thru college. Who is kidding who. His father was not poor either. His mother was married and divorced three times, and his father four times. He never lived in a shack like his half brother does and his grandmother worked.
Posted by: Mariann Pepitone | August 26, 2008, 8:05 pm 8:05 pm
Riley: That’s just how Obama answers the questions when asked. He failed in the forum interview and he failed the debates. And he wants to be president. If elected president it will be in name only, Biden will be running the country. I know that you are aware of Obama not having any experience in politics or foreign policy. That he is using the speeches of RFK, JFK and MLK because he cannot form his own words. I do not know how he graduated Harvard. I certainly would like to see his grades.
Posted by: Mariann Pepitone | August 26, 2008, 8:08 pm 8:08 pm
Michael: We all know that Obama owns one mansion paid for by crooked Rezko because Obama couldn’t afford it. He even bought the lot next door for him. If Cindy inherited millions who cares and if they own seven houses who care. Obama can invest in three condo’s himself but he can’t pay over one million dollars each like Cindy. Cindy was right to invest her money into real estate. Why not. If you have it do it.
Posted by: Mariann Pepitone | August 26, 2008, 8:12 pm 8:12 pm
Ed: I agree with you. When it comes to politics Obama is no match for John McCain and neither is Biden. McCain know as much as Biden and maybe more. Obama didn’t want Bill Clinton in the white house so he picked Biden. And I believe the Kennedy’s told him to pick Biden. Caroline should stay home and stay out of politics. Ted Kennedy should retire and let a younger person have his seat. He doesn’t need the salary.
Posted by: Mariann Pepitone | August 26, 2008, 8:16 pm 8:16 pm
I don’t see anything wrong in donating to the school where McCain’s children attended. That has been done many times before. He still is donating money no matter who it goes to. I would do the same thing. And the rich don’t have to donate their money to any charity if the don’t want to. The Clinton’s donated ten million dollars. Let’s see if Obama donates any money to his half brother in Kenya. He is partial to his half sister Hawaii and he has a half brother here. In fact, he should fly him to America and set him up in an apartment.
Posted by: Mariann Pepitone | August 26, 2008, 8:33 pm 8:33 pm
Gracie: I agree with you. McCain’s houses has nothing to do with the issues we are facing in this country today. Obama has the money to buy 2 condo’s for investment. He was fortunate, Rezko bought his house and extra lot for him because he covered up some of Rezko’s crooked deals. The courts didn’t call him in because he was campaigning for the presidency. You know how that works, one hand helps the other and Obama probably talked to the judge.
