Oh, That Joe! (No. 1 in a Series)

DENVER, COLO. — At a meet-and-greet with National Guard members Thursday, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., was asked by a Guardsman if he would pose in a photo with him.

Biden — who has gray, balding hair in an intriguing, coif that has been the source of much speculation — praised the hair of the Guardsman and quickly agreed.

"I tell you, I’d love one with you," Biden said. "You got a camera?"

Biden then quipped, "If I had your hair, I’d be president, you know what I mean? I wouldn’t be screwing around with this job."

Interesting. Joe’s mouth is going to get him in trouble in the next few months.
Speaking of his mouth, Inside Edition did a segment yesterday on how Biden always claims in speeches that his wife and daughter were killed by a drunk truck driver, and that’s not what happened at all. I think it’s sad that he continues to smear this man and his family. The daughter of the truck driver was going to do an interview with Inside Edition trying to once and for all clear her dad’s name, but at the last minute declined. Guess the Obama people “got” to her.
Scary.

…………………………
How can he fake a story about a car crash. His wife and daughter are dead and there are newspaper a old television news footage.

Can’t wait till he calls Romney a spoiled rich kid with caps on his teeth.

Jack, the point of contention is whether the truck driver was drunk. A Deputy Delaware Attorney General, at the time of the accident, Jerome Herlihy, is quoted as saying “…there was absolutely no evidence of drinking.” And no charges were ever filed in the case.

Pat Buchanan called Obam’s speech one of the greatest acceptance speeches in history.

Davis you are easily impressed with theatrics I guess. The rest of us will wait to see the debates, far fewer because that chicken Obama would’t do town halls with McCain or early debates…WE ALL KNOW HE, UM, UG, AH, RUNS SCARED.
No speech or convention will elect a President…it will be the debates and 50% of us vote emotion and 50% political party
I’m still a Hill supporter for McCain.

As Chris Matthews says the cat is out of the bag on McCain’s temperment question.
Is John McCain too much of a hot head to be Commander in Chief?

Biden is “screwing around with this job” while Obama believes something to be “above my paygrade”. What a team!

“And today, as my call for a time frame to remove our troops from Iraq has been echoed by the Iraqi government and even the Bush Administration, even after we learned that Iraq has a $79 billion surplus while we’re wallowing in deficits, John McCain stands alone in his stubborn refusal to end a misguided war.’
That is absolutely brutal.
Smacked McCain right in the mouth

McCain campaign response to Obama speech described as weak, flat footed, disorganized.
They were as stunned by Obama as the rest of America was.
You are going to own your failures Republican party.

That’s not the judgment we need. That won’t keep America safe. We need a President who can face the threats of the future, not keep grasping at the ideas of the past.
You don’t defeat a terrorist network that operates in eighty countries by occupying Iraq. You don’t protect Israel and deter Iran just by talking tough in Washington. You can’t truly stand up for Georgia when you’ve strained our oldest alliances. If John McCain wants to follow George Bush with more tough talk and bad strategy, that is his choice – but it is not the change we need.
Obama absolutely destroyed him.
Bring on the Pawlenty announcement! LOL

ryan i really do not believe anybody was ‘stunned’ by obamas speech as you claim. nobody has ever disputed his excellent oratory skills. i thought the speech was good, but not a game changer. nothing changed for me, he gave a good speech end of story. if the response has been subdued it is because nothing happened that was not expected.

other prominent politicians who
have known him have said he’s
too unstable to have his finger

Barack Obama has 143 days as an elected senator in Washington on his resume before declaring as a candidate for President. That is less time than I would allow an assistant in my office to be trained and considered a permanent and valued employee. In other words, he does not have the necessary experience needed to be president. Pretty speeches guarantee nothing except lots of words. He is a babe in a big boy/girl world. In other words, not qualified. He is an egomaniac and a corrupt candidate. He is not a uniter or a moral leader for Americans.

I was undecided until tonight – Obama did more of the same – Great speach but said nothing solid. I fear this man is simply a snake oil salesman. WE all need to shake off the hype and honestly look at this guys background. I fear we will not like what we see.
I am coninced now that this guys is a disaster in the making for this country.
I wanted to hear real specifics and again it just doesn’t happen with this guy – McCain is getting my vote – I know what I’m getting there.

Posted by: Joe | August 29, 2008, 6:08 am 6:08 am

The good speech did not change the fact that Obama has a thin resume and his real character witnesses, such as GodDmAmerica Wright, Phlager, Resko, Mr & Mrs Terrorist Ayers, Farrakhan, Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, corrupt Daley Chicago machine, Detroit’s Bafoomery Kilpatrick, his adopted father Indonesian Soetoro, his Kynian family – all were under gag order not to be character witnesses for the real Obama.
The pressure was for the Clintons to be character witnesses to a man they don’t personally know.
Oprah may be good at manipulating book deals but she cannot manipulate the vote of real concerned Americans. NO Oprah, NO Obama

Biden is already making a fool of himself.
The speech last night was disappointing. Definitely not one to remember.
PS Cut out the tough talk Barack, no one thinks you’re tough.

Joe Biden is more of a joke than Obama. I’ve watched him on C-SPAN. The man is genetically incapable of keeping his mouth shut. Like Dennis Miller says, he’s a walking gaffe machine. It’s only a matter of time before he embarrasses himself.

I’m not into political correctness, and to be frank, I hate it when African Americans whine about racism. But to call Obama (and I’m certainly no Obama fan) “clean and articulate?” What the hell was that all about? It really was an insult. It was like saying, “Finally, we have a clean African American we can rally around.” How insulting!!! I don’t think Biden is a racist. I just think he’s an idiot. This guy is almost as much of a disaster as Michelle. It’s only a matter of time before he embarrasses the ticket.

I would mention that Obama was 11 when Biden was first elected, but hothead Biden said he would smack me.
and Biden had a hair transplant. He isn’t balding. He was bald. No secret.

I have voted Democratic from my first vote. There is no way that I can vote for this man, nor can I vote Republican. The only way that I can show the Democratic party that they are the ones who “screwed up” is to get a paper ballot and write in Hillary Rodham Clinton. I know that is one less vote against McCain but the great O has said that my vote wasn’t important anyway and he can get elected without it. I am not a sheep and I will not follow this Judas goat to slaughter. My poor USA, with all the great true AAs in this country this is the best that the Democratic Party can do? Win at all costs? I think that if they wanted to do that, they picked the wrong candidate!

At least Joe Biden will provide some unscripted moments of comedy.
The script was that Obama was a hero for being anti-war (before he was elected to the Senate, a WAshington outsider for New Politics, against the influence corporate lobbyists, etc.
So he chooses for VP a pro-war Senator, Washington insider, an MBNA suck-up. Oh, and Biden is also meant to get the votes of those low-information blue collar voters.
Of course, Obama’s campaign was “just words”. If we have to “get over it” we may as well be able to have some good laughs about it.

Bloggers I am disappointed you have such a negative mindset. Thank goodness there are plenty of people who know a positive attitude is so much more productive. The time has come for America to start acting as a positive nation. The Bush Administration is quite dangerous. I am Republican and have been for many years. How can you bloggers support torture? How can you bloggers support the Iraq War? Bush misleads the Americans to enter this war. McCain supported and his continued stances were proven wrong. No real stance conclusion can yet be arrived at regarding the surge. How can you Republicans support continued US money paid to Iraq for the War when Iraq has a national surplus. Once this hit the news everyone is shocked. Now Republicans are playing war politics for this general election. America has paid for Iraq War plus ventures and America is $500+ billion in debt. How can you bloggers support continued Republican suppression of new energy development? New off shore oil drilling is not the answer. Expert know this. Financially there will be no effects felt by the time any more oil may come to be. All will be offset by population growth. America has been forced and suppressed by Republicans to not be a world leader in energy development and implementation. Countries who have been the leaders are financially sound and doing well. These countries eliminated dependence. Bush Administration and many Senators and Congressmen are the Oil Administration and well known for this label. Republicans are protecting oil interests. Now America faces gigantic global warming problems that have been present but ignored for eight years. This disaster is almost upon us. I can see it clearly here in California. Smog is huge problem, despite some of the toughes vehicle and corporate emission standards. Economically America is in disaster mode. Our economy is a “mess.” America’s national debt is largest ever. How could George Bush waste the surplus America had when he entered office? John McCain does not feel we are having a problem. John McCain adviser said Americans were “whiners.” Then he gets himself fired by McCain. Whoops – this gentlemen revealed true McCain Campaign feelings about Americans. Fact is – McCain votes with Bush 90+% of time. Republicans seem to be stuck in the old style. Republicans appear to lack a vision for the future. Republicans have made poor decisions for eight years. Republicans have made Americans quite dependent upon other nations. Republicans have caused horrible world views about America. It is alarming. Republicans do not view women well and do not support women issues. Ask McCain why he was not for Violence Against Woman/Men? Republicans are very against equal pay for same work regardless of gender. Why? Sure McCain has now picked a woman for Vice President. But I see she is from Alaska. More for oil support!!! She wants Alaska to gain. Republicans are for the corporations and their interests and have always supported corporate lobbyists. Republicans have pushed away support and rights for workers. Republicans want to do away with Social Security. This is a retirement plan American workers have paid into for years. This retirement plan can work if government is held to responsible fiduciary standards and sound financial investment management. I am familiar quite well with ERISA retirement benefits. Why and how can they do this? Companies don’t have to handle these funds properly with good sound financial management either. Escape legal loopholes are present in ERISA. Corporation have done everything they could to avoid. Republicans are not supportive of the average American. Republicans are sticking to a “populist theme” saying all guns are great! Populist themes are not solutions that benefit or are not actual solutions. These themes are only a method used by politicians to get votes. No one is trying to take away the 2nd amendment rights to bear arms. I am from a midwest sport hunting family. I have no problems nor do I see any alarm being sounded about my gun rights. I am quite alarmed at the Republicans and their recruitment of the super rich with far right views. These right wingers actually encourage and support all types of discrimination – racial, gender, etc. Etc.,etc,etc.
McCain has now caved into the right wing of Republican Party. I have discovered McCain lies all the time and is not the “straight shooter” he claims to be. McCain is from th old school. He doesn’t even use modern technology. Doesn’t use computer. McCain has not kept himself up to using modern technology. As a 64 yo college educated professional I find this alarming. This is a clear signal he will have lots of difficulty having a futurist view of our country. Technology is fast paced, changing every day. This is what America means! I am listening to Palin’s speech now. She is young and she sounds good. I am troubled she has mentioned Glenn who was part of the Keating Five. John McCain was too. I do see lots of oil ties!!
