Yes, He Can? (Be Commander in Chief)
BILLINGS, MONT. — At a convention-watching party at the home of Eran and Carlee Thompson in Billings, Mont., last night, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., watched the speech of his rival, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., intently, often clapping.
He perked up during the jabs at Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. He shouted "Yeah!" when Clinton mentioned his wife Michelle and his running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del.
After Clinton mentioned that McCain opposed equal pay for women, Obama said, "Oh, that doesn’t work."
When she concluded, Obama, and the family with whom he was watching the show, applauded. "That was excellent," Obama said, "that was a very strong speech — laid out the case — you heard her — we gotta keep going."
After leaving the house party, Obama called Clinton and said how grateful he was for her support, telling her she gave a terrific speech.
He also told her that he loved her line "No way, no how, no McCain."
But what Clinton did not say last night — that Obama would be a great commander in chief, fully prepared to take that 3 a.m. call (as opposed to a 3 a.m. text message) — did not escape the notice of his critics.
“Sen. Clinton ran her presidential campaign making clear that Barack Obama is not prepared to lead as commander in chief," says McCain spox Tucker Bounds. "Nowhere tonight did she alter that assessment. Nowhere tonight did she say that Barack Obama is ready to lead. Millions of Hillary Clinton supporters and millions of Americans remain concerned about whether Barack Obama is ready to be president.”
It’s a concern shared by voters, less than 50 percent of whom say Obama is prepared to be commander in chief. When she withdrew from the race in June, Clinton was criticized for making a similar omission. She had to have known people were looking for her to say that he’s up for the job. She didn’t.
Obama has tried to shore up this perceived weakness with his international tour, and his selection of Biden as his running mate.
To little avail, as yet.
Today, Obama will focus on this issue, meeting with a local veteran and his family and then holding a town hall discussion on “Securing America’s Future” with veterans and military families in Billings, Mont. His convention, miles away in Denver, will also be focusing on the same subject.
Will it work?

It’s very likely that Obama will fall and fall hard in the coming weeks. It would be political suicide for Clinton to align herself too closely with him by saying what a close, personal friend he is and that he’s ready to lead. To do so would invite questions later about her own judgment.
Clinton performed perfectly last night by saying exactly what was needed to move the Democrats forward in unity, but without risking her own personal integrity with false praise of Obama.

Abe Lincoln/never in military excellent Commander in Chief
Franklin Rossevelt/never in military excellent Commander in Chief
The best Commanders in Chief in our history had no military training, which isn’t necessary but the ability to lead others with organizational skills is very much a necessity.

Some of you may have noticed that this issue may be moot. Bush for example never served as commander in chief. According to the constitution the president is only commander in chief in times of war, and since the only war power resides in congress and congress hasnt declared war, Bush has never been commander in chief.

We’ve seen for the past 8 years, a guy who doesn’t know any better being controlled by his handlers. Do we want this to continue? MaCain would forget how to get to the Oval Office! He’d be controlled by others. I’m sorry, but I never voted for handlers.

Yes, he can if we are sold by the images that the campaign keeps putting in front of our eyes.
Another image coming folks (advertising and selling is big business) for the American Public to convince them that Obama is great. Mr. Obama is going to give his speech on Thursday in front of a Greek Column sort of exactly the same as the Greek column shown here in the Star Track movie…hmmm. You know Apollo in this fiction episode promised “hope” and “peace”, tranquility and happiness as long as everyone followed him.

I am thrilled to see that even with Hillary clinton’s speech last night, that Obama now is 1% point behind MCCain according to the Rasmussen poll! The more he opens his mouth and forces others to open their mouths the worse off he is with people. I am elated! We will never vote Obama, NEVER! He made his bed now let him sleep! He bashed Hillary Clinton sexually during the primary and that is when he lost a large chunk of women voters. If he had kept a civil tongue in his mouth we would have been voting for him unconditionally. He blew it! It’s his fault! And, the heads of the Democratic party like Kennedy, Kerry and Dodd who stood idly by while he lambasted Hillary Clinton during the primary season. They have to be taught a lesson and that is why we are boycotting the entire Democratic party this fall. The next time a woman runs they will remember the year 2008 and shut their ### ######! We are watching them systematically restructure and change our beloved Democratic party and that is another reason we need to send a message to the Democratic party so that they stop this nonsense! Good riddance Obama! I will dance in the streets when he is beaten in the fall! Go McCain! The goal is worth the suffering! Women have had enough! Well, at least the woman with a brain in their head, have had enough of this treatment by Obama and the Democrats! Hillary’s speech did nothing to sweeten the deal and neither did Obama’s choice of that crook Biden!

I do believe Obama has the judgment to be commander-in-chief. McCain does not. He pushed for the war in Iraq, harder than anyone else, except perhaps Cheney. He will lead us to more wars. Like Pat Buchanan said, McCain “will make Cheney look like Ghandi.”

If Obama is such a great leader who always keep his/her principle, he doesn’t need Joe Biden, a 35 years Washington insider on the ticket.
I’m glad Hillary is not on the ticket. Otherwise, her political career will finish along with him in this November.

No Obama is not qualifed for commander in chief and his wife can’t give a speech like Hillary Clinton unless they copy cat the same words.
I’m never watching another convention this week. I watched the last 30 minutes and that was good enough and the best part. To bad Obama team does not understand what unity means, Hillary is not on no ticket so I will not vote this year. I only watch Terri Moran because he is smart far from sexy but knows how give good speeches. I give up on politics now and the media not all them tell the truth I notice except for last night on ABC the far one from George on the right was telling the truth Obama’s wife speech was not what we wanted to her it’s about the issues, but the Obama’s are stuck on themselves as I see them everyone give them the answers there copy cats of the media.

the Clintons are still behind the scenes trying to keep their supporters from voting for Obama – just read her own staff’s comments about her run in 2012, and Bill’s comments about candidates X and Y. They dont even try to hide their plans to thwart Obama’s election now. But, what they forget, is if he loses, come 2012 – there will be 18 million Obama voters who will remember the Clinton’s tactics. No More Clintons 2012 or ever!

Posted by: Ruth | August 27, 2008, 10:54 am 10:54 am
Of course she didn’t, her credibility is on the line. Obama has virtually no experience on the federal level (3 years in the US Senate is all). He’s never led anything organization (the federal government is huge, complex organization). Worst of all is that he has NO foreign policy experience….none, nada, nil…at a time when the Russians are beginning to threaten Europe.

Obama is going to have to prove he can be commander in chief. He should have agreed to the military family themed town hall meeting he and McCain were invited to.
He’s going to have to show a better grasp of foreign policy.
He needs to stop complaining that McCain is impugning his patriotism (what kind of CinC says that?) and actually address the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan.
He needs to demonstrate he actually knows something about the military.
And he should have gone to Landstuhl rather than whining about the Pentagon.
He needs to find a way to look as if he isn’t afraid of the Pentagon.

I’m sure most people don’t remember this, but at the very beginning of the campaign, a Democratic strategist (can’t remember the guy’s name) on CNN posed the question, “Do the Clintons really want to stand in the way of the first African-American president?” I think that sums up the hatred for Hillary Clinton. Much of the Democratic party is made up of white-guilt liberals, and they can’t abide the idea that anyone would interfere with a black man becoming president. If Obama wasn’t in the running, those same liberals would be singing Hillary’s praises. Hillary had the misfortune to run at a time when the white-guilt liberals decided it was time to elect a black man to the Oval Office. The amazing thing is that these liberals touted Obama’s lack of experience as if it was some kind of virtue, and condemned Hillary’s experience as being “the old politics.” Now their “new kind of politican” is practicing the “old politics.” Furthermore, his handlers have forced him to select a VP candidate with the experience they once claimed was not important. Such is life in ObamaWorld. I feel like I’ve fallen asleep and awakened in some kind of surreal world where the lunatics are in charge of the asylum . .. .

I voted for Obama and I am STILL “singing Hillary’s praises.” We had 4 or 5 excellent candidates this year and it was hard to choose among them. I too thought it would be better if Obama had more experience, but he has enough, and his agenda is so similar to Clinton’s that I couldn’t see it making all that much difference.
Then we had an election, and Obama won. So now we move on to the NEXT choice, which is pretty clear.

Her speech was meant to call for Democratic unity and it was very effective for that according to editorials. Her speech would have been cheapened by any references to the latest McCain 3 am attack. It’s my understanding Bill Clinton, the former commandeer in chief, will be addressing national security issues when he speaks. He’s the logical person for it.

When your trying to decide to vote Republican or Democrat just look at the past. When Clinton and the Democrat’s were in charge we had the housing industry booming, worker’s making good wages, low unemployment rate, balanced budget(with a surplus), strong american dollar and strong growing economy. Then Bush and the Replican’s took over, and now we have housing foreclosure’s at record level’s, wages going down, worker’s are losing benefit’s and pension’s, unemployment at an all time high, record 10 trillion dollar debt that keep’s growing as long as Bush is in office(which our children and grandchildren will be paying off), the american dollar is at an all time low, and our economy is in a recession. And don’t forget the 9/11 terrorist attack’s on the World Trade Center. This isn’t rocket science, just look at the past before you vote on our future.

Sen. Hillary Clinton gave an excellent speech last night with an unqualified endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama to be the next President of the Unites States. Only one of McSame’s points earners would even think of commenting that Sen. Clinton did not unequivocally endorse Sen. Obama for President. And, as for the issue of experience, I’d like for someone to tell me exactly what experience John McSame has to be President of the United States. The scandals and moral bankruptcy exhibited throughout McSame’s life certainly do not qualify him. The fact that he got shot down in a fighter jet during the Vietnam War certainly does not qualify him. That fact that he spent 5 years in a P.O.W. Camp suffering the torture he claims to have suffered certainly does not qualify him, but only serves to disqualify him given the manifest impact such torture had on his mental faculties. Finally, his time spent in the U.S. Senate does not qualify him as he has voted for George W. Bush’s policies 95% of the time in the last two years and flip-flopped on every policy vote (74 times) that earned him the reputation of being a maverick. So, what is left but the shell of a man, who once may have made a good (not great) leader, but now is in his twilight years suffering from senile dementia based on all the evidence we can see. When it comes to Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McSame there is no comparison as Sen. Barack is far ahead of McSame in every category that defines a good leader. In closing, let me state the obvious — saying that one is a leader does not make one a leader. And, that all we have from McSame is his statements that he is a leader with no supporting proof.

Hillary raised the bar. Can BO meet her up there? Can he reach across the aisle like he says he’s so good at? He couldn’t even reach out to her for VP…..or for vetting, or to even be the one to tell her that she wasn’t his pick……he hasn’t reached out to her supporters, or to women…..
Hillary was fantastic in her speech. One needs to wonder WHY she is not on the dems ticket. Party leaders turned their backs on her. Superdelegates anointed a nominee. Media in love with you know who.
She is a true Democrate. It doesn’t make me like BO and want to vote for him. Last night was the FIRST time I heard anyone one CNN’s best political team support what Hillary has done and given her any respect. They clearly are doing it to get her voters to sway to BO. It may work for some, but too much has happened and the media are very much to blame along with the BO campaign. Michelle O looked like she hated Hillary during her speech. The only time she smiled was when her husband or herself was mentioned. I will be looking to see how she looks during Joe Biden’s speech vs. Hillary & Bill’s. I’m pretty convinced Hillary is not the VP candidate because Michelle said NO.

Obama’s gonna win… he’s cool and calm and the republicans are scared. Scared people are always critical and negative. look at the ads on T.V. Guns and Jesus scare tactics. Get over it! guns are for protection and I pray to jesus to keep me safe.
I would vote for a women in the White House just not that woman…I know I’m not the only woman who thinks that. By the way why would Hillary know more than Obama about the 3:00 a.m. call? Did Bill? Did he have millitary service? I don’t think so! Get over it! Go Obama keep up the good work.

What experience did GW have when 7 years ago? Do you really think his intellectual ability to run Texas is any greater than to what he exemplified in running the country. No one run’s a country by themselves. GW is proof of that. Obama will not run the county alone either. And quite frankly, I don’t want that same old Washington-insider experience. I looking for a change and you can’t do it with folks who are well seasoned in “the game” of politics. If you continue to do what you’ve always done, you’ll continue to get what you’ve always gotten!

Posted by: Armond | August 27, 2008, 11:29 am 11:29 am
James, get the facts straight, first we are not in a recession, second unemployment is not at an all time high, a lot of people bought houses that could not afford them (hardly Bushes fault), the value of the dollar is low due in part to the national debt which is high due to Iraq, Katrina, 911 and congress being irresponsible with our money. Clinton weakoned our military and let Osama escape when he had him in the crosshairs.
Posted by: billy bob | August 27, 2008, 11:32 am 11:32 am
Hillary didn’t lie, about “the one”. She did not say anything about Obama ready to lead or qualified. It’s time for Obama to resign for the good of the party.

As George Stephanopolus said she gave the best runner up speech ever at a convention-that is why she should be the candidate in November. I know what she wants me to do but in my heart I just can’t accept Obama. I think he and his wife are arrogant. I know he doesn’t have the experience necessary to lead this country. Anyone who doubts women are not treated equally should be convinced by what has happened here. In the end I look at the last 8 years of George Bush and realize that if a buffoon can be president for 8 years ANYONE can be president. But the real question is who can get us out of this mess created by George Bush & company? I am casting a vote for “none of the above”
Posted by: dunmore girl | August 27, 2008, 11:34 am 11:34 am
Bill Bob, I’m sorry….If Bush had any experience at all he fail to show it for the last 8 years. All he showed me was that he is a stubborn mule and does exactly as he pleases. Whether it was the good of nation or not. For the most part, is it was never for the good Nation.

billy bob – “just compare GW’s experience to Obamas and be honest. There is no comparison, period.” – Well, that’s not exactly fair. I think you really have to be President to do as much damage as G. The real story here in Denver was Hillarys speech which blew Michelles out of the water with the applause she received! Afterwards my collegues and I were all wondering why Hillary isn’t our nominee. I talked with some Delegates who said that they felt the same way. Many of them were following the orders of the party leadership when they originally voted for Obama but are now reconsidering especially when McCains numbers keep going up and Obamas keeps falling down. There are some serious meetings between Delegates to discuss all of these issues before the Roll Call tonight. Maybe Hillary will be able to cause a rebellion. We’ll see tonight.

I loved the woman last night on CNN that was distraught over Hillary not being the nominee. She said she asked her friends if, in the business world, they would take a recent Harvard grad or an experienced worker of many years to be CEO. Her answer was they all said the experienced worker.
Umm…Bill Gates didn’t even graduate from Harvard, and he is the richest (former) CEO in the world. Mark Zuckerburg, a recent Harvard grad, is rich beyond his wildest dreams.
Experience isn’t everything; and I contend vision and judgement are just as important, something McCain seriously lacks. Point made.

I would like to address the “arrogant” comments that keep appearing about Obama. It also harkens back to a time when black men were expected to keep their eyes averted from whites and answer “yes sir” to little white kids. If a black man in this country acheives the highest level of education avaiable, rises to a measure of economic success, walks with his chin high and his eyes unaverted, then he’s arrogant? Give me a break. Please just say that this black man has upset your perceived natural order of things by not stepping aside and recognizing that a white woman is supposed to be president before anyone of color.

Who gave you the mystical power to declare all who disagree with Obama as uncomfortable with his ethnicity? .
After watching Hillary last night I have to agree with Christopher and predict this convention will be known as the “Buyer’s Remorse Convention”. Hillary artfully endorsed Obama without praising him, and really spoke most emphatically about making sure “the Democrat” wins. It’s all about the party, after all. Amazingly the Dems picked the one person who cannot defeat McCain.
Mathematically I don’t see how Obama can pull it off. He is actually polling behind McCain in Florida where Obama has outspent McCain $20M to ZERO. How does Obama turn it around? Anyone? Bueller?

Hillary is a 2 term Senator plus a former first lady. So what made her better than Obama as far as more experience? Being First Lady?
Obama was at least in a state senate before becoming a US Senator.
George Bush was a Gov before becoming President.
Basically put…get over the experience thing.
There are second term presidents who really really sucked and they had 4 years as President before sucking.

I feel that the Republican party is the party that promotes what Americans CAN’T do. We CAN’T shift our economy from one of oil to one of alternative fuels. We CAN’T pay a living wage because it will hurt the economy. We CAN’T use diplomacy to solve international problems because it might show us trying to be part of the solution instead of the problem. We CAN’T accept the idea that human industrial output over centuries of growth might have an adverse effect on the earths climate, because it might prevent a few from reaping enormous gain.As an American who votes and wants others in the international community to respect look to us for leadership. We need to become a country that supports a leader who knows we CAN. I feel that Barack CAN lead help us regain what has been lost.

Donald Trump was interviewed this morning on television and was asked whether he had watched Hillary last night and he said “yes” and continued to praise her and her speech, saying that he thought she inspired the audience and that he and the audience agreed that she should’ve been the presidential nominee–the republicans are lucky that she wasn’t at least the veep nominee–they would’ve run away with the election in November. She just couldn’t bring herself to say that Obama is ready to lead the country!!

Loved Hillary speech last night – the woman is smart and I felt sincere and passionate. I would vote for her any day. She unfortunately will never convince me that I have to vote for Obama. She had to deliver the speech for her own political survival and I know the dems. put a lot of pressure on her and Bill to support Obama – but that not change the facts. It is not that obama has no experience that keeps me from voting for him but his judgement (or lack of it), his associations, his rise to political power methods, his shifting positions, the fact he cannot talk sincere without a prompt, the fact that he visited 57 states and so many many other little things like that. I don’t trust Obama and never will so this democrat will vote for McCain this time around and hope 2012 will be Hilly. I pray to God Obama looses this election – he will destroy what is left of American economy. We will truly be the laughing stock of the world if we elect Obama. It is a sad day for America if the best in leadership we come up with is Obama and McCain. But then I NEVER got over the fact that George W won the re-election!

obama spoke in Kansas City at American airlines overhaul base. He spoke of change and the reason they are losing jobs is because of Bush and the cost of oil / gas. He forgot to tell them that he is also the problem. He and Polosi won’t drill for oil, and he wants national health care that will cost all of us 40% to 50% of our PAY to pay for it on top of the other taxes. Socializim is the campain agenda for the Dems this time around. (If you can’t win then lie to get in and then we can control America.) That should be their new campain slogan.

First and formost He’s the representative of the People to our citizens and the world, and if he can’t gain the respect of both then he’s worthless for both,ie (GW). He has to be an economist, banker, investment specialist, foreign affairs expert, retirment specilist, energy expert, and many more too numerous to list all hats a President must wear. To focus on a one position only President like McCain would be is a big mistake, he is so short in all the other necessary skills it takes to be the President, and I’m not so sure I would be comfortable with his fionger any where cloase to the atomic buttons.

I haven’t been watching CNN because of the way they are continually searching out controversy regardless of how small so they can build a story around it. I heard about the blubbering girl they tracked down yesterday. They had thousands upon thousands of people in the convention they could have interviewed that listened to Hillary’s call for unity. But CNN as usual searches the halls for that one person of controversy they can show on the news over and over as if that person speaks for the house. CNN and Wolf Blitzer are the absolute worst political team on television. They work very hard to create political news instead of working hard to report it. Wolf Blitzer is the Jerry Springer of News Media. I became a fan of Hillary Clinton yesterday. My number one pick has always been Obama and remains Obama but Hillary proved to me last night that she is not a polarizing as she’s always been portrayed in the media and I believe her speech demanded not only a vote for Obama but respect for her. I am a single mom who has had a hell of a time raising my children for the last 8 years due to poor leadership. Barack Obama is the absolute BEST candidate. People are losing their homes! Gas prices are ridiculous and families are having to decide whether to buy gas or food! I am praying for all you people who obvioulsy have deep rooted issues! Tell the truth about why you don’t want Barack and stop hiding behind your excuses. Is this really about experience? Or, is this about him being a BLACK male! NEWSFLASH: THERE ARE INTELLEGENT BLACK PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD. This one is definitely capable of leading this country to a far better place than it’s been in the past 8 years. To all of you “Hillary” supporters (not supporters of a better America), I pray you never have to make the choice between feeding your family or buying gas to get to work to make money to have to make the choice all over again. I love Hillary to death and she was at her peak last night. But the truth is she is moving on and wants a change too. All I can say is everyone should take a deep breath and make assessment of their lives for the last 8yrs. If the pros out-weigh the cons, then go for another 4yrs of the same. If not then change the situation by voting for BO. I’m so tired and sick of all the noise about experience. This is not rocket science, the results of the experience is there for all to see in the last 8yrs. It is true that the pen is mightier than the sword and knowledge is truly powerful. For lack of knowledge, people will perish and be doomed. How can McCain blind followers explain how he’s going to fit in a world of ‘bits and bytes’? The world is forward with the pace of technology and only the intellect can keep up with that pace. It will be so silly on my part to choose someone who only graduated at 894th position out of his 899 class as the one to fix our crashing economy. Corn doesn’t produce mushrooms; it is still going to be corn!

Leaders of the Democratic Party, including the Obama camp, must have been pulling out their hair after watching Hillary’s amazing speech and the electrifying reception she received. Hillary rocks! As a Hillary supporter, I watched her speech with tears rolling from my eyes. Tears not only of appreciation of her speech but tears of deep regret for losing the opportunity to make her our next president. Through her speech, she showed friends of foes alike how a brilliant and capable president she would have become for this great nation. The injustice that the democratic party committed against Hillary and her supporters will never be forgotten. Hillary, I love you! For the first time in my life, I will be voting for a republican in November. Yes, McCain looks much better, capable, trustworthy, experienced, and honorable than Barack Obama. I will wait Hillary’s run in 2012. McCain 2008. Hillary 2012/2016.

Hey guy! America picked a leader 8 years ago with almost nothing on his educational background, who was not accepted in a law school because he is not qualified and look what he did. Now you have this guy who graduated Magna Cum Laude at Harvard, if you only know what that means, off course he is more than qualified to be a commander in chief.

THE BOTTOM LINE:
Hillary is not the nominee!!! Barack Obama is the nominee!!! George W. has driven this country into the ground and will leave the White House wealthier than he came in. Middle Class Americans, such as myself, are suffering and feeling “mighty” poor these days. Are you seriously willing to continue to go through tough times for the sake of pride. I respect every Hillary supporter for your love for her. I am a huge “fan” of the Clintons! I bought Bill’s book! However, according to God, this is not Hillary’s time. I am a woman and had Hillary won I’d been behind her 100% (although my first love is Barack). If your primary position is pride, you’re in a sad, sad place. As democratic Americans, your primary position SHOULD be the state of this country! McCain is not going to be an improvement to the condition of this country or the world affairs of this country.

Idiots should be barred from commenting on blogs. There is too much money involved for a non-citizen to make it as far as being a presumptive nominee. Furthermore, all the sites I checked seem to repudiate these allegations. Stop rumor mongering… there is too much at stake for you to muddy the waters and confuse users from knowing the facts.

And we all know why.
The DNC–Pelosi and Dean all chose to back the weaker, less qualified candidate.
And that weak candidate, because of his huge ego and no backbone, refused to choose the stronger person to be his VP.

The change will be that I will keep this to myself and not keep bashing Obama. I do not ever want Hillary blamed for Obama losing. She has honestly done her best to ask her supporters to vote for him. She can do no more, she cannot force us to change our minds. For her sake we need to quietly fade into the woodwork and just do what we need to do on election day. You will not hear from me anymore, barring any earth shattering news about the election.

I have to send my son away three states in a program that places talented children in great prep and suburban high schools, because the schools in my area where I pay over $2,500 a year in school taxes, SUCKS!!!. I would love to have my son home every night, but I also would love for him to have a good education and not hte crap that is being given in my district. The republicans do not care about that, because they have cash to do what they want for their children. And believe me I have never depended on anyone let alone the government for anything. Jock59801,
It is Barack Hussein Obama’s job to convince me to vote for him. He has failed miserably in that regard. Yes, Hillary had to say what she had to say at the convention because she stands on a higher moral ground. I am sorry, but this does not apply for me. Knowing how badly the democratic party leadership and the media treated her, she did the right thing by giving that outstanding speech. She did her part. Obama, on the other hand, didn’t. Hillary was the strongest candidate. Now the democratic party is stuck with the weakest candidate with no experience and with lots of records showing his poor judgment. I love my country too much to let it be ruined by an unexperienced and flip-flopping rookie. That’s why I am crossing party lines to vote for McCain.

I said it before and I’ll say it again… A Hillary supporter’s vote for John McCain is a slap in the face… no matter how you try to disguise it is what it is. You couldn’t possibly have believed in Hillary and cared about her policies and the issues she fought for and then just because she happens to not have won, decided to vote for John McCain. Only an idiot would do that. If you’re a woman and voting for McCain – you’re an idiot. He thinks you should do the same work as a man and get paid less to do it. And if you are choosing to vote for John McCain simply because you don’t like Barcak Obama – I remind you that this isn’t high school and we’re not electing prom king – we’re electing a president. This country doesn’t need another four years of George Bush OR his policies and thats exactly what we’ll be getting from John McCain… Only an idiot would make that choice.

Do you really want 4 more years of Republican Neocon politics as usual? I can understand your disappointment, but is it really worth damaging the country even further just to make your point? Senator Clinton has been such a strong advocate of universal health care for so long. Do you think there is any chance of that happening with a McCain administration? And, as for the issue of experience, I’d like to know exactly what experience John McSame has to be President of the United States. The scandals and moral bankruptcy exhibited throughout McSame’s life certainly do not qualify him. The fact that he was shot down in a fighter jet during the Vietnam War certainly does not qualify him. That fact that he spent 5 years in a P.O.W. Camp suffering the torture he claims to have suffered certainly does not qualify him (but only serves to disqualify him given the manifest detrimental impact such torture would have on his or anyone’s mental faculties). Finally, his time spent in the U.S. Senate does not qualify him as he has voted for George W. Bush’s policies 95% of the time in the last two years (policies that are destroying this country) and flip-flopped on every policy vote (74 times) that earned him the reputation of being a maverick. So, what is left but the shell of a man, who once may have made a good (not great) leader, but now is in his twilight years suffering from senile dementia (based on all available evidence). When it comes to Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McSame there is no comparison as Sen. Obama is far ahead of McSame in every category that defines a good leader. Certainly, saying one is a leader does not make one a leader. And, that’s all we have from McSame and his cronies are statements that he’s a leader.

But, for the sake of our country, I hope the retaliation vote coupled with the neo-con vote and the “I just won’t vote for the black guy” vote fail in their attempts in November. These are scary times. John McCain is NOT mentally sound to run this nation. George W.
Bush effectively and truthfully painted the perfect portrait of McCain in 2000- McCain is a deranged POW. Post traumatic disorder should disqualify anyone as President. It’s mind boggling that being shot down by the enemy and spending 5 years in a prison camp exempts McCain from the scrutiny necessary to base a voting decision.

A vote for McCain must be under the condition that one enlists in the military. McCain supporters should exemplify how “much more American they are” by enlisting to avoid the drafts of the Americans that don’t support McCain or his warmongering ways. Even 65 year old white women in rural America and white male CEOs of the most profitable companies that harbour neo-conservatism ideals as superiority that vote for McCain must enlist. I’m sure the military can use them in some aspect.

Don’t further divide your own Democratic Party that’s dumb. McCain has the potential of carrying on just like Bush.

My fellow Americans, we all know that if Barack had two white parents instead of one, there would be no contest. With all the support the president gets, he would be able to handle the position as well as the next person. And what he “lacks in experience”, he makes up for in understanding the needs of the American middle and lower class people. (which is at least 90% of the population) And all Bush and McCain are “making us think” they are concerned about is terrorism on the US soil. Be for real. The fear of being blown away by terriost should not be our #1 concerns. For one thing, when a suicide bomber is ready to strike, what can you do to stop him; Threaten to kill him? After all, our one lone attack was done by suicide bombers. They already killed themselves. Our American terriost weren’t so brave when they bombed the building in Oklahoma, etc. Anyways, just don’t be so quick to be narrowminded. You had better look at the real big picture. It’s much more daily stress to not be able to work, afford gas and food, and God help us if we get sick. Have you been to the doctor or hospital lately? Unless you have one of the few insurances that still pay for anything, it’s pretty budget breaking. These are issues that effect all of us who are not filthy rich. God bless our USA

I get increasingly upset when I read the negative comments about Obama and his pursuit of the white house. Hillary ran a good race, but she did not win. It was the will of the people that voted and their voices were heard, we wanted Barack Obama.
In every election we are faced with candidates that we don’t necessarily relate with or to but we have to make an informed decision based on the candidates that we are given and the issues that we are passionate about. It is time that you all do the same.
You sit here and talk about Obama, who I believe is an intelligent and capable man that can run this country and get us back in a favorable standing in this world that we claim to dominate. He is much better than the idiot we have in office now. Bush is an example of the term “priviledged” and did not have anything to offer this country. You voted for him because he is a republican, not once but twice and not our country has been shot to hell as a result. Now you want to do the same thing again, with McCain.
You talk about Obama, but McCain has not produced any substanative ideas and no intelligent responses to questions and/or claims except his tired POW response. If you all want so many records released, tell McCain to have his military service records released (completely) and his school records. You will then see that he is not all he is cracked up to be and that intelluctually, there is a lot to be desired, given that he graduated at the bottom of his class – something he and Bush really have in common. I want a smart president that worked hard to get where he is, not someone that used his connections – and you talk about hating affirmative action – go see!
Hillary Clinton made a great run but I believe it just wasn’t her time but don’t sit here and think that we are not watching because if the mind set is to just do a little to have people think you are for him only to make your run in 2012, you are sadly mistaken. Just the 18 million votes she received in the primaries will not be enough to win her the white house in 2012 and you know what they say about payback. I find that to be a trend though, because I don’t believe she and Bill gave their all to help elect John Kerry because her goal was the 2008 election. That seems to be her game plan, do enough to not draw suspicion and then make my move the next election cycle.
Come on democrats we are making a mockery of the democratic process. The republicans despise their choice in John McCain and will do and say anything to draw the attention off of their party and havoc they have caused on the country they profess to love so much.

Dear Citizen,
You said “God bless our USA”. I wish your candidate, Barack Hussein Obama, repeated this phrase and didn’t stay in his church for twenty years while his hateful pastor proclaimed “God damn America”. This is not about Obama’s race. It is about his poor judgment and his utter lack of experience. I would have opposed any white candidate who had even the slightest of ties with any racist organization. Obama is not fit to become the president of this great nation. Period. McCain 2008. Hillary 2012/2016.

Obama DOES say God bless America often; he was NOT in ‘that church” when Wright said “GDA,” and Onama rejected the comment when he heard about it. Wright was not saying that God SHOULD damn America anyway, not that I like what he DID say.

Lou Anthony at 1:36 is dead on. Obama should have had the judgement, like his friend Oprah, who knew it would hurt her multi million dollar empire created for her by white middle aged women, TO LEAVE THE HATEFUL RACIST CHURCH. I saw and heard things that are unacceptable. When a Reverand can be in the pulpit and slam Pres. Clinton and simulate sex, and say “Bill’s been ridin us like….” SHAMEFUL. Too bad Wright has been threatened to lay low. He will be out with a book after Nov. 4.

Do you really believe that McCain, being that he is 65 years old, living in America all of his life, has not be closely associated with racist individuals, groups and more that likely, his church. After all, even churches were segregated his first 20 years of life. And I don’t remember ever hearing of him being a notable civil rights promoter. again, just stay openminded. McCain is no saint either and he could care less about anyone that’s not wealthy. If so, how could he not see the condition of our economy. Gas and food are getting to be a strain on me and I’m not considered “poor”. So my goodness, what’s it doing to the % of our citizens who make less than $40,000 a year, which I believe is at least 40% of the population. (I hope it’s less)

I agree it is incomprehensible to rationale people…
but if Obama fails we will have a horrible stereotype about women and their “emotional logic” overriding just plain ol’ logic.
You can get mad for saying it but to vote for the guy who doesn’t think you should get equal pay for equal work…doesn’t think battered women should get protections from the US government, doesn’t think that women should have the right to make the difficult and horrible decision between their own God and their own feelings about what is going on in their bodies,
doesn’t hold marriage up to that high a level, that doesn’t think his somewhat public “ugly Chelsea Clinton her father janet reno joke” was offensive until a reporter calls him on it,
the list goes on…
including being one of the leading PR man for a mistake that stole 1000′s of lives and trillions of dollars from our children’s futures…
any woman who votes for this man over Barack and Joe Biden.
Isn’t logical and reinforces questions of women’s ability to be logical in politics …
you may find it offensive but that is true… thatis what that message will say.

Democrats should focus on the alleged McCain’s “strong suit” of foreign policy. They should adequately prepare Americans for WWIII that is promised with a McCain presidency.
It’s disheartening to see Americans view bellicose McCain’s idiotic response to the Russia/Georgia conflict as Presidential. He talks as if America has the military power to confront Russia head on…oh but wait….McCain will have such power with a military draft and borrow money from foreign nations!
Americans are stupid to believe that we win wars by shouting “U.S.A.”, waiving American flags and tying yellow ribbons. While the anti-Obama crowd debate over Obama isn’t a “real American”, why don’t they display their Americanism and visit their local military recruiter for enlistment. This country will demise with the McMaverick who suffers post traumatic disorder. He’s twitching to press the button.

@Lou Anthony
Its amazing that Dem supporters like you play right into the GOP hands every time. This was a tough Dem primary and only one of them was going to win. If your aim is to support the ideals of the candidate then you’ll realize that Obama and Clinton are very close in terms of what they believe in. Common sense would dictate rallying around the candidate of your party to ensure the change that you would hope. A lot of Republicans don’t like McCain but they will rally round him because he’s the closest to what they believe in.
BTW – what makes you think HRC will be a shoo-in in 2012 if McCain wins this time. There would be a lot of Obama supporters who would then hold her responsible for the Dems loss and vote for the other candidate. In this scenario, the GOP probably has the ads ready for the next election already – to remind the disgruntled voters of this fact.

I like Hillary, but she was losing until Rush told all of the repubicans to not bother voting for McCain, because he already had the nomination. He instructed them to go vote for Hillary to keep her in the race so the two democrat candidates could fight amongst themselves and give the repbulicans the amonition they needed because McCain was short on money. That way McCain could lay low for two months and whatever Hillary used to fight Obama, they would use. I heard it with my own two ears, and the next day and over the next two months, it panned out just as he planned and now they are using her ads against him. I have to give Rush credit for that one, it worked out just as he planned. Now if that’s the only way McCain can win, what’s so special about him. His own people knew he couldn’t compete if he had to compete long.

Hillary knew what the rules were before the primaries began and agreed with them whole heartedly. Then when she saw that she was not going to win, her rhetoric changed. Just know once Mccain is in , he has the “gotcha” factor. He has 4 to 8 years to make all of lives a living hell and there won’t be a darn thing we can do about it. Can things get any worse than they are now ….Elect Mccain and sit back and wait. I promise you, it won’t take him long to show to us just how bad things can get.

I do not agree with people who question Obama’s citizenship and his religion. He is an american who was born in America. And I have no question about his Christian faith; he is a Christian. He is not just the right person for the presidency. Obama simply does not possess the experience and the character to lead this great nation. He has too many questionable associations and too many flip-flops. Hillary Clinton was the best choice. In the absence of Hillary, McCain is the next best choice. McCain 2008. Hillary 2012/2016.

Obama’s mother could probably considered a “nominal” Christian, just as his Father (whom he met once) was a nominal Muslim. Neither were particularly religious. But his mother encouraged him to learn about all cultures, which would be good advice for any American, including presidents.

Why should Hillary say that he is ready to be CIC? He isn’t
And why do her words matter so much to the Obama camp, the same camp that spear headed a sexist, ugly campaign against her and said she only had experience holding tea parties while first lady, that she was the Senator from Punjab, that the Clintons years weren’t all that great – Obama favored and admired Reagan.
What a hateful 47 year old nitwit.

all of them have a mansion. so what. Bush has mansions, so does McCain.
And Bush claims to be a chrisian, and i guess he feels God told him to go to war. I’m sure if Bush says he’s a christian, McCain will say “me too” So I suggest we let the wheat grow with the tare and not judge their relationships with God. That’s His business. But the tree is known by the fruit it bears.

Debra – “BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE WE LIVE IN THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.” – Well, we agree on one thing (that we live in the greatest country in the world, not in the necessity to use the cap lock key). You know why that is, though? It’s because from our founding until the present we have continually tried to improve the state of the country.

America is the greatest country, but like anything, mismanagement can deminish its worth. Bush has mismanaged America. He’s obsessed with Iraq and oil. He says he want’s a better life for them. Go be president of Iraq. He’s killed Sadam. He’s killed his sons. Too many of wonderful young people have paid the price. They vowed to be committed to whatever the CIC believed in. Mismanagement. If I give you power of my money, and you use it to your benefit and that of your family and friends. You use my money to hunt down someone that called your daddy a barbarion, that’s mismanagement. Now I’m broke, where I was rich before I handed by valuables over to someone with their own agenda. And McCain doesn’t have a mind of his own, so what ever Bush did, even if it’s wrong….

The last time a civilian thought he was completely qualified to command his entire country’s armed forces was in 1943, when Hitler took over running the war – and luckily for us, he didn’t turn out to be very good at it. This whole issue of “is he qualified to be CinC” is ridiculous because the only person fully qualified with that experience is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff – and he ain’t on the ballot!

Baptism doesn’t make you a christian. A christian is a follower of Christ. Baptism is just an outward symbol. If you were baptised as a little baby, sorry, you’ve still got to do some believeing and accepting to do. How you love is the biblical indication of you being a chrisian. So let’s just pray for us all, for Christ desire is that no one should perish.

Sadly, choosing Biden as his running mate will probably be Obama’s downfall. To a lot of viewers, Hillary’s speech last only confirmed how badly Obama failed on his first real judgement test – choosing a vice president. Biden is a nice guy and a respected lawmaker, but he doesn’t have the following (18 million +) that Hillary has. I’ve been a Hillary fan since the days she was fighting for workers’ rights on the board of WalMart, and last night’s speech did not convince me I should vote for Obama.

Last night, I saw why I truly and emphatically supported Hillary Rodham Clinton. Even in the face of defeat, she was very PRESIDENTIAL. Too bad that the democrats did not make the right choice; now, you are stuck with Barack Obama. Like the HRC supporter who was interviewed on CNN after she finished her speech, I, too, am not completely sold on Obamaa even though she made a great case as to why her supporters should go to him. However, I still don’t believe that he is qualified to be president–adding Biden to the ticket did NOTHING to help him in my eyes. Now, it is up to Obama to prove to those Hillary supporters like me that he is worthy of our votes. While not ready to say that I will vote for John McCain, he does look much better to me than Obama does. Hell, even writing in Hillary’s name seems like a better choice at this point!

To 8years:
The question is whether or not Obama is ready to be President. He’s done a poor job of convincing the majority of Americans, including many Hillary supporters. That’s a fact. He’s just barely treading water in the polls and she threw him a lifeline yesterday with a 10 pound sinker attached to it.
As for McCain’s past marital problems, good like trying to give that storyline some legs. The one thing Americans have a distaste for is attacking one’s family. Besides, McCain has already admitted the failure of his first marraige is his greatest personal moral failure. Obama needs something big to capture the undecided crowd and retain as many Hillary supporters as possible. Any ideas?

No sensible person would vote for McCain out of spite. You say you care about women’s rights, yet you can kiss them goodbye for the next 25 years after McCain finishes with the Supreme Court. You say you want an ethical commander in chief, yet you support someone whose staff is made up of lobbyists with interests that conflict with yours. You say you want sound foreign policy, yet with every error made in the last 8 years, McCain has been there supporting it. You say you want a maverick, yet the only thing McCain could do after the unfair events of 2000 was suck up to the people responsible for the slander that was his downfall. How mavericky of him! If you want to single out Obama for his dubious associations, then don’t deny those of McCain’s and Clintons’.

Each one of those points you spammed are irrelevant. Maybe not to an elitist “no skeletons in MY closet” Democrat, but to the majority of voters who will be voting against Obama. Just specks of dirt that get blown out of proportion by the liberal media and then passed on from one Dem to the next without even knowing the facts (Forrestal fire, Keating 5). In the last two cases, high horses are all too quick to judge. Even after McCain was cleared of any wrong doing in both cases, the blog slaves still perpetuate the farce of his guilt.
I could care less who he married or when. I do care that for those who served, understand and can overlook those pitiful 3rd grade “Teacher, Johnny put a tack on my seat again” mentality, whilst those who didn’t serve and conveniently went to college/Canada will never understand and are the quickest to judge our heroes from their havens of cowardess.

Neither Hillary nor Obama “won” the nomination. Neither had enough pledged delegates. Therefore, it falls to the SuperDelegates to choose the nominee. While more SuperDs have “endorsed” Obama, they won’t actually cast their votes until the Roll Call is taken. They can vote for anyone they choose.
Do I think they’ll desert Obama? No. But let’s all bear in mind that he didn’t “win” the primary. Until the SuperDs cast their votes, he’s simply the “presumptive” nominee.

All this Garbage about MCCAIN changing womens rights and the supreme court etc, etc is just that.. Garbage. The House and the Senate will be controlled by the DEMS and they will hamstring him for 4 years. He will do no harm what so ever. We can wait 4 years for Hillary to run again.

This whole “Commander in Chief” fixation is bizarre.
Do you really think that it’s normal for the leader of a democracy to be conceived of as a military leader?
Clearly the person best qualified for the job in that case would be someone like Pervez Musharraf.
I’m serious about that: as long as the US president is also regarded as a military leader, US democracy has a weakness that makes it vulnerable to becoming a militarised dictatorship.
The concept belongs in the past with medieval kings.
Not to mention the fact that the worship of militarism that permeates American society is not patriotism or support for those who serve in uniform, it’s just a PR trick to ensure money will continue to be funnelled to arms manufacturers, the biggest pigs at the trough.
Posted by: Kevin Daly | August 27, 2008, 4:30 pm 4:30 pm
Barney:
My point was that all those trivial judgments by 8year are irrelevant when selecting the candidate most qualified for the job. This involves patriotism, experience and conviction of beliefs, not just having “good judgment”. If that were the case, no one would be worthy of the position. Take the good with the bad, but take responsibility for each decision/action at the end of the day.

So, what qualifies McCain to be a military leader? Getting himself shot down and spending the Vietnam War in prison is hardly great fodder for a resume for Commander-in-chief. Frankly, I’d be apprehensive about following the guy into an ice-cream parlor. He may have guts, but that doesn’t mean he knows squat about achieving victory or any other military goal.
Posted by: Jeff | August 27, 2008, 5:35 pm 5:35 pm
Jeff, not only that but McCain plays the POW card every chance he gets. He thinks nothing of exploiting, and thus cheapening, his experience for a political advantage. No matter what the question, he brings it up. He could be asked about high gas prices and his answer would be something like: “Well for five years while I was a POW I did not have a car, could not drive, so I am just glad to be able to buy gas.” The guy is shameful in this regard. And I am a vet too, 1970-72.

The reality is that for many of those who have been polled and articulate that they are concerned about Obama’s readiness to be Commander in Chief, they are not being truthful. Those who continue to report this know that it is a more palatable way of saying that they are uncomfortable voting for a black male. The news media have been so cowardly in not addressing this real issue for many white males and females including some in the media. The reality is that this is “huge.” It requires a complete paradigmn shift for the nation. The idea of the President of the United States of America not being white and male is huge, even for Black folks and other persons of color. Admit it !!Some who are not that advanced in their thinking about the place of women as leaders were even willing to give that up because at least Hillary is white. I wish that the media would be willing to provide honest discussion of this issue. The polling that is being done by many in the media would not stand up to any scientific research standards. Some media outlets have even had the nerve to report on data collected from 5 people to conclude that Hillary’s supporters will not support Barack Obama.
We all know that Barack Obama is probably one of the most intelligent and competent leaders that have been placed before the American and world community. The other reality is that the President is expected to lead with a team of other qualified individuals. He is definitely ready to lead and to bring other competent and mentallly sound individuals to his circle of advisors.

Voted twice, yes I said twice for Georgy Porgy, and now they have a guy who is obviously better educated, more eloquent, more reasonable, and stands to enhance the image of the US in the international community thereby buying a lot more good will that will help in issues like trade, cooperation against terrorists, cooperation in the event of war, etc. and you people are actually considering a throwback military man like John McCain. Nice guy, war hero and all that, but you guys actually think this guy will make your day to day lives better?
Even more amazing is this “Hillary supporters for McCain”. How childish! The woman has unequivocally thrown her support behind Obama and you childish, short-sighted and in many cases racist “supporters” just can’t seem to get over yourselves. If you’re really a “supporter” then do what she has been imploring you to do for the last 3 months and again last night at your convention: Vote Obama! For pete’s sake, how can you be a supporter if you don’t even listen to words coming out of her mouth? Have you forgotten that the last Republican voted in (twice, did I say you voted him in TWICE!!!) got you into this mess (aided and abetted by Mr. McCain, I might add), and you think Obama could possibly be worse than another one? That’s at least 4 more years, people! That would be equivalent to three strikes in baseball, wouldn’t it? I mean, haven’t you lost enough already? Or do you need to sink even deeper into debt, war, lose ALL your houses and get taken over by Canada (only half-joking about that one) before you finally WAKE UP?
I mean, I hate to tell a neighbor what to do, even though unfortunately your vote also affects us, but shake out of it already! You used to be a country to look up to. Now you’re turning into an international joke.

Why would Hillary sacrifice her integrity and lie to the American public that Obama is ready to lead? I’m certainly not voting for him…I care about this country, not Obama’s grandstanding and ego.

I find it interesting that Hillary supporters refer to Obama as “the messiah”. But he’s just a man in the democratic party who happens to be running for president. Unlike Hillary supporters, Obama supporters vote on the issues and policies of the canidates.

nice try, LeeLee07 the PUMA
don’t get me wrong. i like McCain, but didn’t he already run for prez and lost to Bush? and didn’t he have to come from way behind to get the nod this time? what people want is some kind of change from what has been, and what better signal of fresh change than Obama? as an independent, i agree and disagree with candidates on both sides, but its time to mix things up and show the world that the U.S. can be progressive in its thinking. Obama will be in capable hands when he is in office…

There are truly some stupid people out there who would turn their vote from Hillary to McCain simply because she lost. Obviously they’re not listening to McCain’s message – that women do not deserve equal pay to men doing the same job. Sure, if you’re that dumb to vote for this guy, go ahead. But as a woman who supported Hillary, I’m now voting for Obama. He represents the women of today and is moving forward with the 21st century, not sliding back in history. While it seems that some women would disagree with me, those that do are those that truly believe we are deserving of less. I suppose those men and women are the ones who think the kitchen, hovering over a sinkful of dishes is the best place for us. Those are McCain supporters.

For all you Repub’s that say FOX is fair and balanced, I say they are very bias in their reporting. That’s why their the only network that doesn’t have the Democratic convention on tonight. ABC,NBC,CBS,and even PBS are airing it tonight. But where’s the fair and balanced FOX channel ???

John – I think you need to worry about Obama’s poll numbers. I am sending in my donation to Senator McCain tonight.

Well I’ll tell you James, if Fox isn’t showing the Convention, it’s because no one is watching it. It’s BORING. Who wants to listen to Pelosi and Dean. I’ll tell you, Pelosi and Dean. Hillary’s speech was the highlight of the convention, and I’m not even a Hillary supporter.

last night the audio went out on CNN about just before 10:00 pm for 20 min. perfect timing and back on for Hillary to be heard that’s all that mattered was speech and the real issues she never forgets what to say

Hey, they said Abraham Lincoln wasn’t ready either, right? Another junior congressman from Illinois with the gift of oratory and the desire to unify warring factions in a time of deep national crisis – who was also ridiculed, defamed and largely misunderstood for his efforts – someone wanna tell me how this is different?

Clinton says Obama is ready to lead? If you believe that let me sell you a bridge in Brooklyn, I am sure you will buy that to. Sucker.

This whole Dem convention has been like the village of the damned.
They are all mindless robots perpetually whining and I am a victim and government run by Obama fiat will fix everything.

If people actually buy the BS that Obama is prepared to be President and is elected, we are all screwed.

How can anyone say Obama is not qualified to be Commander in Chief? For crying out loud, his first name is where soldiers sleep.

Yes he can. He can walk on water. he can turn water to wine. He can muliply fish and bread. He can be laid to rest in a cave and arise in three days, just in time for the start of the republican convention and prove to the world that he really is the closest person to God, just as he believes he is. Yes he really can do something, he can turn millions of Democrats into republicans. That is the biggest political record he has ever set. Great job Emperor Obama.Best damn Republican I ever met, They don`t even need a recruiting drive with Obama on their side. YES HE CAN !!!!

I don’t believe for a minute that only 5% of Hillary backers will vote for John MCCain. I think that is just wishful thinking for the Obama supporters and campaign. They are pulling a George Bush. If you keep saying something enough times it will be so. Idiots! Last night after Hillary’s speech Rasmussen and CNN said that 50% of the Hillary supporters said they will be voting for John MCCain. The problem is that Obama and his group don’t know how to say the words, I’m sorry, to the women they offended. Instead, they are angry at us, for being angry about being treated so poorly. You are all insane. I encourage you to read the Rasmussen report, which is one of the most recognized sites for correct political reporting, and read the article that says, “Hillary Can’t Fix What Her Party Broke.” It puts it all in a nutshell as to why the women are so angry with Obama and his supporters and the Democratic party. The Democrats clearly have a hooligan problem. It was as though their left-wingers suffered a kind of Karl Rove envy. They wanted to go on the attack, demonize a Clinton and hurl abuse at the Clinton’s friends. Only a year ago, Vanity Fair ran a cover story on how Clinton hatred had infected much of the right wing. The left seems to have grabbed the baton. And it apparently did not dawn on the Obama shock troops that they were offending the very people their man might someday need.
So bye-bye Obama. This will be a fight to the finish with those of us so dedicated that we are taking out second mortgages to run commercials so that Obama loses in November. You don’t realized the fire you ignited in us! Good luck with all of that!
