Biden Says McCain ‘Hasn’t Learned Anything’ From Economic Woes
ABC News Matthew Jaffe reports: Joe Biden Saturday warned that a McCain presidency could lead to the same de-regulation in the healthcare industry that the Democratic vice-presidential nominee cites as the reason for the nation’s current economic problems.
Addressing the United Mine Workers of America’s annual fish fry in Castlewood, Virginia, Biden today noted a McCain column in the September/October issue of "Contingencies," the magazine of the American Academy of Actuaries.
"You saw the meltdown going on on Wall Street," Biden said in his speech here in the mountains of southwestern Virginia. "You see the whole world worried about what’s going on in terms of the economy. You also saw that John McCain now says that he wants to change it. But here’s what John McCain wrote in a publication that came out a couple days ago. He wants to do for health care what he did for the banks."
"Here’s what he says, I’m quoting. “Opening up the health insurance market to more vigorous nationwide competition, as we have done the last decade for banking, would prove — and provide more choices for innovative products and less burden by the worst of the excessive state regulations." Translated: get rid of the regulations, get rid of the protection, and hang on to your health insurance. Ladies and gentlemen, this guy’s not learned anything."
"He wants the health care industry to have new ‘innovative’ products. Let me translate that for you: in the mortgage industry, they talked about new innovative products – products: subprime mortgages. Without anybody looking over anybody’s shoulder. All these new fancy business terms about new product. The new product is bringing down our economy, bringing down the world economy."
Continuing to highlight McCain’s column, Biden spokesman David Wade said, "Apparently, if this is what John McCain wants to do to health care, he may need to go to the ER to have the doctor remove his foot from his mouth."

Maybe Biden has forgotten the fact that states regulate insurance companies. Some states do it very well, Florida, New York, Texas and California. New products come on line quickly now and are either approved or decline. This is not a easy road but one traveled everyday by the insurance industry. God don’t we have enough problems without going after more for the sake of headlines?

Regarding John McCain and the DEREGULATION of the health insurance industry.
Right now, health insurance companies have to live with the regulations in the state they operate in.
John McCain has proposed that the insurance companies should be regulated * * * ONLY * * * in the state they are incorporated in.
The insurance companies would be able to reincorporate themselves in a state of THIER OWN CHOOSING. Obviously, they are going to choose a state with ZERO, ZILCH, NADA consumer protections.
Do you want any dispute you have with your insurance company to be settled by mandatory, binding, INDUSTRY SPONSORED ‘arbitration’ ???
Then you should vote for McCain.

I heard on Fox a very interesting history behind the bank failures of 1929. The same scenario – greed and too many bad loans and not enough cash to cover. After the crash, laws were introduced to stop this from ever happening again.
Guess who is responsible for reversing those laws? Bill Clinton, and then Greenspan lowered the interest rates. The democratic idea was to allow everyone to own a home. However, here we are again – 1929. Greed in the banking/mortgage industry has caused this – not McCain. And, the Democrats hands are dirty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So please get your facts before you blame just the Republicans or McCain. Talking points from the Democrats don’t hold any truths.

Finally the MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE, HEALTH INSURANCE, GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE in this Campaign Health Insurance that has been continually overlooked is Front & Center
Loosing Your Employer Health Insurance and being thrown to the Market for Unfordable Prices SHOULD BE A #1 PRIORITY FOR VOTERS
Failure to let the American People know that John McCain is planning to get rid of your Employer Sponsored Heath Insurance and throw us to the Market is one of the Most Missed Issues in this Campaign.
McCain plans to give Americans a $5,000 Tax Credit to help with getting a Health Insurance in the Market when he know that most policies would cost minimally $14,000 a year.
More important currently the Employer’s contribution, the part of your Health Insurance Premiums that the employer pays usually about 75% John McCain’s plan will tax it. Currently the Employer portion/contribution is not taxed.
With the Rising Cost of Health Insurance and Health Claims, Employers will no longer have an incentive to offer employees Health Insurance if they cannot be exempt from paying taxes on the part of your premiums that they pay.
Next since the employers will no longer offer you Group Health Insurance per John McCain’s plan he will throw all Americans into the Market, and he said he will let Health Insurance Companies compete for your individual business.
McCain has not provided a gaurantee that the Health Insurance companies will provide the same Price that Americans are paying their Employers now and he will not.
McCain is also aware that the Health Insurance Companies will charge even higher prices.
Sen. Clinton has been trying to get this message and Sen. Obama but it’s not clear to me that the Voters actually understand the Significant Impact.
Even more important The Health Insurance companies WILL NOT PAY FOR PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS. They will provide what’s called a “RIDER” that will not cover any conditions arising from the Pre-Existing Condition. Your premiums will be excessive.
Those with High Risk Conditions, Heart Disease, Cancer, Lupus, etc or any condition the Health Insurance deems high risk may not even get coverage at all. If they do the cost will be unaffordable.
Senator McCain does not provide one Price or the Cost of these Health Insurance policies that he expects the Market to Sell Us, he just throwing us to the market.
Don’t forget that Employers also provide LIFE INSURANCE. The Market requires a Medical Exam to be cleared for Life Insurance. So anyone with any condition that’s on the Health Insurance Company’s list WILL NOT GET LIFE INSURANCE.
Finally we are informing the Voters of exactly what they are facing with the Danger of loosing their current Health Insurance. Read Sen. McCain’s Plan
I have provided a link to go to the article Sen. Obama is talking about. Sen. McCain wrote this articel THIS MONTH>

God…the McCain shills here are just so full of lies and vigor.
Here are McCain’s REAL quotes:
While speaking in favor of bank deregulation on the floor of the senate, John McCain said, “This legislation takes a small but important step toward eliminating the tremendous regulatory burden imposed on financial institutions… One principal reason banks are unable to make loans is the bewildering array of statutory and regulatory restrictions and paperwork requirements imposed by Congress and the regulatory agencies.
Another time speaking in favor of bank deregulation on the floor of the senate, John McCain said, “While a case can certainly be made that every law and regulation is intended to serve a laudable purpose, the aggregate effect of the rapidly increasing regulatory burden imposed on banks is to cause them to devote substantial time, energy and money to compliance rather than meeting the credit needs of the community … This bill recognizes this fact, and takes a small step forward toward eliminating unnecessary regulatory burdens imposed on banks.
McCain Said The Best Thing Government Can Do For Business Is “Stay Out Of Its Way.” While speaking about the American Competitiveness in the Twenty-First Century Act on the floor on the Senate in 2000, John McCain said, “I am convinced that the best thing government can often do to advance the fortunes of the private sector is to stay out of its way.
In 1999, McCain Supported Phil Gramm’s Banking Deregulation Bill. In 1999, John McCain voted for passage of the Senate version of a bill that would eliminate current barriers erected by the 1933 Glass-Steagall Act and other laws that impede affiliations between banking, securities, insurance and other firms.
It goes on and on folks. McCain is no maverick and the current administration and deregulation policies have lead us to the point where congress will have to decide to put you and I on the hook for $700 billion dollars plus. Which of any of these statements are not fact. Sorry…but they all are. You would be better off arguing the earth is not round.

10 things you should know on Obama’s economic plan
1. Small main street businesses would be forced to pay tax rates as high as 62.3% under Senator Obama’s tax proposals.1
2. Senator Obama’s tax plan would tax small businesses at a higher rate than Wal-Mart!2
3. Taxes on retirement income and savings could increase by at least 33%, hitting millions of seniors when they need these resources the most.3
4. 4 million workers over the age of 50 – those eagerly looking forward to retirement – would be hit with increased tax bills. 4
5. Millions of Americans would only keep 38 cents of every dollar that they earn.5
6. Senator Obama’s tax plan would reduce the after tax wages of millions of workers by 17.7%.6
7. It will take 227 days per year, nearly 8 months, just to pay your tax bill!7
8. 97,065 carpenters, 110,908 police officers, 254,992 nurses, 208,562 postsecondary teachers and 237,000 dentists would see tax increases, if the earnings cap was successfully eliminated.8
9. 10.3 million workers would see an average of $5,650 taken from their paycheck and given to government programs.9
10. Even YOU might be considered “Rich.”

Obama:
“I believe that the Constitution confers an individual right to bear arms. But just because you have an individual right does not mean that the state or local government can’t constrain the exercise of that right.”
February 17th –
Sen. Barack Obama, giving America a preview of his priorities, is rejoicing over the Senate committee passage of a plan that could end up costing taxpayers billions of dollars in an attempt to reduce poverty in other nations.
The nice-sounding bill, called the ”
Global Poverty Act,” sponsored by Obama, is up for a Senate vote on Thursday and could result in the imposition of a $845 billion global tax on the United States. The bill, which has the support of many liberal religious groups, makes levels of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations.
The U.N.’s “Millennium Project,” says that the U.N. plan to force the U.S. to pay 0.7 percent of its GNP in increased foreign aid spending would add $65 billion a year to what the U.S. already spends. Over a 13-year period, from 2002, when the U.N.’s Financing for Development conference was held, to the target year of 2015, when the U.S. is expected to meet the “Millennium Development Goals,” this amounts to $845 billion. And the only way to raise that kind of money is through a global tax, preferably on carbon-emitting fossil fuels.http://www.theobamafile.com/ObamaPolitics.htm
In addition to seeking to eradicate poverty, that declaration commits nations to banning “small arms and light weapons” and ratifying a series of treaties, including the International Criminal Court Treaty, the Kyoto Protocol (global warming treaty), the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

My fellow citizen,
The fun is over. Like a good movie, and it comes to mind, sex in the city; the Mcain/Palin sensation should be worn out and totally washed out from our digestive system. Now it is time to have mercy on America. She has gone through tremendous traumas the past eight years. From mother nature direct hits to the current administration. A real civic act at this point would be to treat her with some TLC and we know the republican ticket does not have that in mind. This is a time of awakening, one should be assertive and agressive. She needs our help to recover. For so long she has been there for us, has stood by us, has made us proud. Today is the day when every American should ask themselves: “what can I do for America?” We have done the bailing out of the giants. That was great work. Now is time to set her free. I hope no American plans to hand her over in November to the republican ticket for another 4 years of trauma. Will she survive it? I know she has been singing “I will survive” for a long time. Please have mercy on her, let her catch her breath with the democratic ticket. Have mercy on America.

And if she has a chance, she’s sure to tell them that she’s got global perspective from her date night last month with Tod at the International House of Pancakes. Why heck, she even remembers that she learned to type on an International Business Machine ‘selectra’ while studyin’ hard as tarnation for that six-year batchelor degree in Christian-style abstinence while hidin’ a little bump in front.

To pay off oue National Debt today it would cost every tax payer in ASmerica a grand total of about $82,000.00 that is fact. Now to have that much paid by the 300,000,000 or so taxpayers give or take a few this is an approximate number given out by the IRS, would take a few years given that most won’t make that much in a year. So my question to you idiots that thibnk we can keep going on getting tax cuts, is this. In a few weeks we will make a choice that will decide our future.
I follow a economist named bob proctor who has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
He perfectly predicted the current real estate market meltdown ,and the picture he paints about what will happen in the next couple years
Is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
Banks in the US are going under one after the other. Country wide the largest morgage bank in the world
Bear Stearns and Lehman brothers , and Merrill Lynch which are 3 out of the top 5 wall street firms.
And now Fanny and Freddy which hold 50 percent of the home loans in the United States.
The goverment took them over because they are essentially bankrupt.
If they didn’t the entire financially system would virtually shut down, the stock market would crash
And we would suffer beyond what any of us have seen before
The future of these companies will fall into the hands of our next president
Bush just like Mcain doesn’t understand the economy.
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it
He does not understand exactly what is broken. Its no surprise that he doesnt. The people that make up these
securities use complex math models very few people understand.
Bush and mccain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
Bush’s economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks take risks with all of our future.
Now Phil Graham is the head of mccains economic policy ,and mccain wants to make him the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time bush met with his economic advisors was in march. He either didnt realize or didnt care that anything was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy in our lifetime.
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as bush has done mccain would be
incredibly worse because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a surplus like bush did but a tanking economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 deficit. Most of Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will do get what you have always __________
When it comes to policy bush and mccain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?
The chairman of mcains campaign recently said that people don’t vote on issues
they vote on a personality composite which means. He is trying to sell you personality instead of results.
He believes people will vote against there own self interests.
Lets teach him we are smarter then that .
Mccain cant even use a computer to send email. He would make this problem much much worse.
Hold them accountable now while it will still help
Elect Obama Biden 2008

Biden cannot have it both ways. Committee chairs of his own party had some oversight on the banking and housing issues and they did nothing. Congress should have learned something after Enron. As long as they are getting huge donations to their campaigns from Fannie and Freddie and others, why should they open their mouths? Everything has been deregulated in the last few decades: telephones, communications, air transportation, and other industries. Deregulation has benefitted in many ways, but it is not a blank license.
Those who should have been watching the store were too busy getting their cushy mortgages and huge donations to their campaigns. McCain tried to get something done about Fannie and Freddie, pork barrel, spending, campaign finance reform, and a host of other issues. He is the one who should be leading the way for reform. The others just have not cared to do anything until this latest crisis.

THE HIDDEN SLIP
What’s in the heart comes out via the tongue!
From Rush Limbaugh’s radio show:
Hey, folks, you want to tweak the Drive-By Media with me right now? You are aware, probably, that Barack Obama lost his bearings recently and said that he was going to campaign in all 57 states. You heard this? And everybody chalked it up to, ‘Well, he’s tired.’ You know, this is a Dan Quayle moment. I mean, Dan Quayle goes out there and
misspells ‘potato,’ and we still hear jokes about it. Barack Obama says he’s gonna go out and campaign in 57 states, he was just tired, you know, it’s been such a long campaign, he’s been so many places, he probably thinks there are 57 states.
Well, I have here a printout from a web site called the International Humanist and Ethical Union. And here is how the second paragraph of an article on that website begins… ‘Every year from 1999 to 2005 the organization of the Islamic conference representing the 57 Islamic states presented a resolution to the United Nations Commission on human rights called combating.’
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organization_of_the_Islamic_Conference http:/// ;
Obama said he’s going to campaign in 57 states, and it turns out that there are 57 Islamic states. There are 57 Islamic states. Dwell on this for alittle while………… So did Obama just lose his bearings, or was this a more telling slip, ladies and gentlemen?

THis is what Obama and his Muslem friends are up to.
A Little Gun History History
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.
From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up
and exterminated.
——————————
In 1911, Turkey established gun control.
From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up
and exterminated.
—————————
Germany established gun control in 1938 and
from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews
and others who were unable to defend themselves
were rounded up and exterminated.
——————————
China established gun control in 1935.
From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up
and exterminated.
—————————-
Guatemala established gun control in 1964.
From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up
and exterminated.
——————————
Uganda established gun control in 1970.
From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable
to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
——————————
Cambodia established gun control
in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million ‘educated’ people,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up
and exterminated.
—————————–
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated
in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
——————————
It has now been 12 months since gun owners inAustralia
were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms
to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing
Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.
The first year results are now in:
- Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent
- Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent
- Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent
(yes, 44 percent)!
In the State of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms
are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding
citizens turned them in, the criminals did not,
and criminals still possess their guns!
It will never happen here? I bet the Aussiessaid that too!
While figures over the previous 25 yearsshowed a steady decrease
in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward
in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their
prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase inbreak-ins and assaults
of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how
public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense
was expended insuccessfully ridding Australian society of guns.
The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.
You won’t see this data on the US evening news,
or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and
property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the
law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind him of this history lesson.
With Guns…………
We Are ‘Citizens’.
Without Them……..
We Are ‘Subjects’.
During W.W.II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
Note:
Admiral Yamamoto who crafted the attack onPearl Harbor
had attended Harvard U 1919-1921 & wasNaval Attache to the
U. S. 1925-28. Most of our Navy was destroyed at Pearl Harbor
& our Army had been deprived of funding & was ill prepared to defend
the country.
It was reported that when asked why Japan did not follow up the Pearl Harbor attack with an invasion of the U. S. Mainland, his reply was that he had lived in the U. S. & knew that almost all households had guns.
If you value your freedom, Please spread thisanti-gun control message to all your friends!

McCain has no respect for women: he called his wife a c*nt in public in front of reporters, he has a terrible anger management problem. He voted against womens right to equal pay. He cheated on his wife when she had just become paralyzed. He was 40 , Cindy was 24 when they had an affair who creepy is that. Cindy lied about not being the only child she has 2 half sisters, her dad did not leave them a penny but gave Cindy millions. Cindy lied about meeting Mother Theresa when she went to adopt her kid, have you ever seen a photo of that adopted kid – you will not as she is “brown” from bangladesh, they do not want to scare the white voters away… Shameful hiding your own kid

McCain is all about helping his friends in Wall St. He has voted repeatedly against a n increase in the minimum wage . He indicted as one of the 5 corrupt senators in the “Keating 5″ scandal. He is exploiting every loophole in his own law the McCain-Feingold act. He has lobbyists up the wazoo in his campaign team
