Biden: Americans Want a Sleepover With People They Like

Americans just want to have "a sleepover with people they like," said Democratic vice-presidential nominee Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., Sunday, accusing Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., of being "divorced" from the nation’s economic woes.

"Just the other day Sen. McCain confessed and I quote, ‘It’s easy for me to go to Washington and frankly be divorced from the day-to-day challenges of the American people,’" Biden said.

"Yo?" he then shouted in disbelief to the Charlotte, N.C., crowd, who responded with roars of laughter.

"I couldn’t have put it better myself," he continued. "The McCain ticket seems divorced from the economic realities facing average American families."

Biden, speaking at his first campaign rally in four days, said McCain is "dead wrong about what we should do as a nation," while outlining what he and Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., would do to help the country’s struggling economy.

"John just doesn’t get it," he said. "The Republicans just don’t get it. But I want to tell you something, Barack and I get it and we have a record to prove we get it."

Still, the Republican that got the loudest reaction of the day was not McCain, but his running mate Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. The mere mention of her name drew loud boos from the Carolina crowd.

Biden, who was introduced by Heather Ferguson, a woman struggling to get her son Dylan the healthcare he needs, promised the audience that they would all have affordable healthcare by the end of the first Obama/Biden term in the White House.

"Barack and I guarantee you, guarantee you, we will have healthcare for every American at the end of four years that’s affordable," he said.

Along with his proposals to improve the economy and healthcare system, Biden also outlined Democrats’ plans to stop oil companies from "gouging" the American public, while assuring voters that he and Obama would increase drilling.

"These guys say ‘drill, drill, drill,’" Biden said of Republicans. "We gotta drill more, we get that part."

Despite making that concession to the GOP, Biden continued to link McCain to President Bush, ripping the current administration as "the know-nothings of the 21st century."

"These guys don’t know the facts. Don’t confuse them with facts. It’s like that old saying about the Texan that said ‘I don’t know much about art, but I know what I like.’ These guys don’t know much about much, but they’re sure certain what they know about, they’re right about."

Ultimately, said Biden, using a metaphor about the sleepover his grandchildren had with Obama’s daughters at the Denver convention, Americans will turn away from Republican rule because, in his words, people are "looking for a sleepover with people they like."

This is a soundbite. I’m surprised the Dems are doing this. Read the entire discussion, and you will see why people are sick of the media and will vote for McCain. It’s not Obama’s fault, but people will take it out on him because the media has a tendancy to do this. Now, if Obama asked in public that all soundbites be required to have the paragraph before and the paragraph after included, he might win over a few media haters. Just a thought.

Just a tidbit from McCain a few years back:
“Why is chelsea clinton so ugly..
because her father is janet reno”
Anyone remember when he said that? And he has the nerve to get all irate because of the lipstick on a pig comment (which he said about Hillary’s health care plan). He’s a complete hypocrite.

Dear concerned citizens of America and Mass Media of the U.S.A.
As a concerned registered independent voter, forensic psychiatrist, disabled American I made my decision to vote after taking into consideration following joint tickets attributes and characteristics.
1. Has the ticket shown adequate calmness, coolness, and connectedness’s under pressure to lead our nation [Presidential Temperament]?
2. Has the ticket shown sustained sound “Judgment and Caliber”?
3. Has the ticket shown adequate understanding of depth and degree to address the crucial challenges in their their purpose, policies, and positions [ Honesty, integrity and sincerity]?
4. Has the ticket sufficient “understanding and knowledge” of inside Washington workings [Experience]“?
5. Has the ticket reservoir resilience, wisdom, and vigor to address the present and future f our beloved “Great-grand Nation”?
6. Has the ticket enough joint foreign policy experience and exposure based on ” Values, Virtues, Vastness, and ” [American moral soul]“?
7. Has their campaign talk, slogans, ads, plans, and programs based on facts and are they free of fear, fiction, frivolous labels, unfair attacks, negativity, and impulsively? [No "imminent danger to national
security and safety"].
8. Has the ticket genuinely kept on message of country first and politics last and avoided copying [Message change"]?
9.Has the ticket message stayed away from Culture divide and war[ Disaster prevention ]?
10. Has the ticket resisted being surrounded, supported and surrogate’s by divisiveness, distortion’s, and destructive characters, [ Real patriotism VS shiftiness and shameless parrot-ism]?
I have personally and professionally concluded that OBAMA-BIDEN ticket will lift and inspire our greatgrand nation back to its greatness within and restore our global standing with the use of maximum, firm
international diplomacy and minimal force if and when indicated {” Peace thru Strenght “}.

That was a stunning confession from McCain, that he is divorced from the day-to-day challenges of the American people. Biden and Obama should make sure that every American knows that McCain finally fessed up to not having a clue as to the struggles Americans are facing! Does any American think a guy who admits he doesn’t know what the heck is going on with average folks is actually going to improve their lives during what is one of the worst economic times in decades. America can’t afford another president who is divorced from the challenges faced by average Americans!!

Wow…d0…wasn’t that a brilliant comment you posted…hahahaha…It always amazes me the kinds of comments that come from those that are ignorant and uninformed…because ignorance breeds fear and contempt which is obvious by your ridiculous comment. I am a Canadian watching the 2008 US Presidential Race very closely and I am not either a Democrat nor a Republican, but from everything I have read and seen…Obama/Biden are the only sane choice for your country…it is so very sad that far too many Americans are blinded by various things…the blind leading the blind…I hope for your country’s sake that enough intelligent and informed Americans choose Obama/Biden because America is in very scary times and there needs to be real “Change” brought to your country. We as Canadians see that and I have not come across another Canadian yet that would support McCain/Palin. Often it is easier to see things more clearly and with more perspective when you are on the outside looking in.
Good Luck America and hopefully the right choice is made and your country turns around positively and is once again the World Leader that other countries around the world look to.

I am no fan of GOP, but it is often stunning to read comments from Obama’s supporters, I am at loss how they can be so brainwashed…Obama gives great speeches according to the majority of opinions (I am in minority here), however, the most unsettling part about him is his associations and his judgement. The reason he is where he is now is because of his backers: Daschle, Kennedy, Kerry, Peolosi, Reid, and all of those Democrat in power in congress. How can Obama be independent of them and be answering for you when he is in power? He’s got too much debt to pay. He has never proved in his entire life that he is capable of reform or change the establishment where he is part of. How can you believe it will be different once in power? Have you seen any work done by the democratic congress?

Hey RC
Greenspan Endorses McCain
An American genius in monetary policy has endorsed John McCain for President. Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Federal Reserve, has expressed his intentions on who should be the next leader of this country. “I’m Republican and I support John McCain, who I know very well and who I respect a lot,” he said. He also says that the chances of a U.S. recession is 50%.
“We would have to see signs of this intensification: there are some, but not many yet,” he said. “Therefore … I would not describe the situation we are in as a recession, although the chances that we’ll have one are more than 50 percent.”
This is a big endorsement for McCain that will help solidify his credentials to lead the U.S. economy. We do face some problems within some sectors of our economy, but we have yet to have a single quarter of negative growth. The only way to be in a recession is to have two straight quarters of negative growth.
McCain has had some trouble showing he knows a lot about the economy, but that is a big reason this blog endorsed him for President. He is against earmarks that are driving us further into debt. And if you look to your right you will see the clock that shows the continuing growth of our national debt.
McCain is a free markets fiscal conservative and that has proven to be the best way to grow our economy. A Greenspan endorsement is key in qualifying this belief. Greenspan has been lauded by both Republicans and Democrats for his knowledge on the countries monetary policy. He is a genius who should have never stepped down from his post as chairman of the Fed. He just knows to much.
PS. Congress has been democrat for the last 2 years.

Obama & Biden are two very prideful individual who cannot even outline their agenda in how they are planning to do what they want to do. I read Obama’s “Blueprint for Change” on his website which I must say was quite hysterical.
Obama has such a weak history as a politician that I’m having a hard time fathoming how he is where he is today; the Democratic nominee for President.
Obama hasn’t done a thing as a Senator to give the slightest of hint that he is going to change America. All he is going to do is make our government huge with huge spending and weaken our military by taking away our nuclear power and missile defense system. Yes, you heard me correctly. He has stated this. He will bankrupt our country and make us vulnerable to attack! Is this the man you want is the White House? I should think not.
The “campaign is all 57 States” (there are 57 Islamic States) & the “my Muslim faith” comments were what you call Freudian Slips! He is in a very clever disguise. How elaborate of an idea to destroy the US from within!
He was under a pastor and church which is anti-American and anti-White for years. How could he really care for our country while listening to anti-American statements from his pastor every Sunday?????????????
Come on folks; I know you have a brain, use it!
God Bless America

Mila,
Another bad argument to sway the undecided. Important laws vs. 6 pieces of legislation?
1st off, laws are easier to pass than legislation. Legislation is far more complex. Do your homework.
2nd, they weren’t important laws, they were laws. More home work required.
26 years of experience is more substancial than 8 years (which is a stretch as you have to add up everything including community service).
Obama does not have the experience nor the credientia;s of McCain, that is a fact. I have not decided yet, but the work your party is doing is helping me to decide.

However, the mind of the American voter is shifting now to McCain…

By not talking about the issues affecting working Americans, McCain/Palin are not putting Country First. By lying about Palin’s record 9 times, they are not putting Country First. By refusing to allow meaningful interviews with the VP candidate and forcing us to play dice with America’s future, McCain/Palin are not putting Country First. By favoring the rich and threatening to tax the healthcare of every day Americans, McCain/Palin are not putting Country First.
The team that puts Country First is Obama/Biden. McCain/Palin are more about Campaign First.

“Everyone is born a Republican, but when they grow up they become Democrats.” – Garrison Keillor
Sorry you Republicans can’t take listening to ‘ol Joe, who isn’t scripted all the time. What we like about Joe is that he says what he thinks. He speaks like a normal person.
You all have castrated McCain and stuck him with the Wacky Witch of the North.
Whatever appeal he may have had is long gone. He just looks like a doddering old codger next to Palin. Next thing she’ll be wiping drool from his chin.
Meanwhile Obama and Biden quietly go about their business of discussing the issues that people are concerned about and let the Republicans keep manufacturing bulls**t for their campaign ads. I particularly like the one about the original Mavericks. It says that McCain took on the Republicans and changed Washington. Then at the end it says that he and Palin will change Washington. Ooops! He already changed Washington before. I guess he made it what it is today then? So hard to keep the lies straight.

If he ever wins, HE WOULD BE THE MOST ADVISOR DRIVEN PRESIDENT OF ALL TIME. I don’t want a poster boy, just because he’s black…I’m ready for a black President, just NOT THIS ONE.
Sorry, judgement with Wright, Ayers, Pfleger, Rezko, Farrakhan, chosing Biden over Hillary…flip flopping when it behooves him…he’ll be all about drilling by Nov. 4, as gas is going up and Americans want it now. If we had a terriorist attack between now and Nov., it would be a McCain landslide, as all polls say McCain better choice to handle terriorism

If he ever wins, HE WOULD BE THE MOST ADVISOR DRIVEN PRESIDENT OF ALL TIME.
———————-
Better advsiors than McCain’s 100+ lobbyists that are on his staff. Sure, they don’t expect anything. No LOBBYIST ever does right? McCain already folded to his party. His administration would be another lobbyist party no matter what he is claiming this week.
And perhaps having a slew of advisors to make accurate decisions is better than having secret meetings and closed door policy making (aka Cheney and Palin) Read the Washington Times article on PALIN’s governing style…SCARY – she’s just the latest ‘good ol boy’ and is all too much like Cheney (but not nearly as smart).
Also Funny. PALIN had to hire an administrator to run her town of 5,500 when she was mayor because apparently it was too much for her. Read the Washington Post article. She had NO REAL experience otherthan building an ice rink. (which went into debt and ended up in court)
As Governor, she was absent so much they started wearing “wears Palin buttons”.
Great choice! People still have plenty of time to get to know McCain and Palin. The LIES they have been telling daily are being called out on the news and in the papers.

——————–
Great Point!
I want my leaders to be “COMMON”. I want them to be “JUST LIKE ME”. Who wants people of superior intellegence running our country anyway? .
It’s much better to have mediocre minds with virtually no knowledge of their job running everything. Yes, that’s how I qualify my candidate, the same way I would vote for American Idol or a Prom Queen.
I’m a Republicun and an Americun. Wave those flags and play the national anthem so you can prove how patriotic you are and I’ll vote for you. Who cares about all that silly policy stuff anyway.
Lie all you want. I don’t care at all. Because YOU’RE JUST LIKE ME, I’ll vote for you! I don’t care if you are saying one thing but have been doing the complete opposite. As long as “you understand me”, that’s all that matters.
Isn’t great to be an easily manipulated lemming! We don’t have to think so hard. Go McCain/Palin.

John and Cindy McCain looked very patriotic visiting ground zero, hand in hand. Barack Hussein Obama looked like a guy who couldn’t get a date to the prom. Where was Michelle Obama? Does she really hate America so much that she celebrates the terrorist attacks of 9/11 at home in a turban?
Barack Hussein Obama and his anti-American wife spent 20 years listening to spews of hatred and “God Damn America” in a so-called church of God. Apparently Michelle believes America caused 9/11. All these radical teachings have been instilled in their brains by Jeremiah Wright.
For over two decades Obama turned to, was counseled by, and formed a strong personal bond with a minister who is a divider and a hatemonger. This simply cannot effectively act as a unifying force for the USA.
The best result out of Obama’s campaign may turn out to be progress in the form of all American cultures accepting that each individual, regardless of race, is to be rightfully held accountable for their actions, affiliations, as well as the doctrines that they adhere to and cultivate in others.
The embarrassing litany of anarchy, filth and hate that Rev. Wright spews should not be excused away as simply “the way our people speak”. Wrong is wrong and is not to be determined on a sliding scale according to skin color.
Obama has told too many lies. He has too many ties to anti-Americans and terrorists.
Have you thought about what might happen if Obama really is a closet Muslim and becomes president?
Vote for John McCain in November. Country first!

EGO SECOND?
Guaranteed you haven’t read anything about Palin’s rise to Governor then.
HUGE EGO and virtually no knowledge. Governs by using her power given by the public to handle personal issues. (Under investigation now for one, but there have been many others)
McCain put his party before our nations best interest in chosing Palin. He sold out his integrity and “maverick status” when he caved in to the right wing fringe of his own party.
EVEN CARL ROVE SAID PALIN WAS NOT PICKED BASD ON HER ABILTY! That should tell you something. CARL ROVE -RIGHT WING INSIDER AS IT GETS!
But, being blinded by hype and false claims, you probably aren’t open minded enough to consider how RECKLESSLY DANGEROUS it is to have Palin as a VP candidate.
For those of us who have actually read her “credentials” (not the BS that they tried to pull off at the convntion) and understand how she came to be Gov of Alaska (with a population smaller than Indianapolis)…PALIN IS FRIGHTENINGLY UNDERQUALIFIED.
She would be the laughing stock of international politics. Oh wait, she can se Russia from some island in Alaska. THAT WAS HER JUSTIFICATION OF HER QUALIFICATIONS FOR NATIONAL SECURITY. I mean SERIOUSLY, you can’t make this stuff up!

On October 21, 2004, the Tribune reported (available via Tribune archives),
“City officials are pushing the federal government to seize control of more than 100 apartment buildings in Chicago’s Lawndale neighborhood, signaling the demise of one of the most ambitious redevelopment projects in the city’s history. (snip)
Cecil Butler, general partner of Lawndale restoration and a longtime West Side business magnate, is two months and about $900,000 behind in payments on a government-backed $51 million mortgage, officials at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development confirmed Wednesday.
The appeal to the federal government was triggered when city inspectors found 1,800 code violations in housing units dilapidated to the point of being uninhabitable.
Back in 2000, Butler had hired the Habitat Company, a respected real-estate firm, to help manage the properties. By then, Valerie Jarrett had resigned from Daley’s staff in 1995, and was Habitat’s Executive Vice President (EVP), later to become CEO. The deterioration of living conditions in the Lawndale Restoration continued during Habitat’s involvement, but Habitat seems to have still been paid.
In 2006, in the final disposition of the dissolved Lawndale Restoration, its properties were sold back to the City of Chicago for $10 (ten). And, the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) assumed the $51 million debt at the foreclosure sale. Butler walked away. Twenty-three smaller profit and non-profit developers eventually assumed responsibility for the properties.
According to the Boston Globe’s exposé, Butler was one of “six prominent developers” who,
“…collectively contributed more than $175,000 to Obama’s campaigns over the last decade and raised hundred of thousands more from other donors.”

Some people are still wondering if there is an economy meltdown, that goes to show how disconnected Mccain supporters are with the rest of the country. There are so many questions that are begging for answers. Why is the gas prices high despite the fact that there is a decrease in the price of oil in the international market? People may want to argue otherwise but it shows you that drilling is not the solution to the energy crisis. Drilling without the proportionate increase in the number of refineries will negate the whole essence of drilling. Gas prices are high because even with the availabilty of oil, if these oil are not refined, we cannot have our petroleum products. Thus there is an increased scarcity of gas corresponding with an increase in demand thus leaving no room but an increase in gas prices.
When I see Republicans saying Palin did well in her maiden interview with A.B.C. I am appalled because they are leaving the facts that she shot her campaign in the foot. Forget the Bush doctrine issue, She said the United States has the right to do whatever it has to do even if it means entering an Ally country to achieve any desired results. That is not Mccain’s policy, thats Obama’s. Obama has been criticised for his statement in a debate this year that he was going to strike Pakistan if there is any perceived threat that has been found to exist in any part of Pakistan. Mccain can no longer use this against Obama.

152 murders occurred in Obama’s state Senate district in the first 6 months of this year -
Just another Obama failure story none of us ever heard from the press. Obama was too busy running for President to care about the little people in his own district.

Obama has insisted for most of this year that we are in a recession. The American economy has not posted a single quarter of “negative growth” in the GDP this year (indeed Q2 posted a rather robust gain of over 3%), and last week’s projections for Q4 estimate strong new hiring and job growth.

From today’s Chicago Sun-Times `Obama Ducks Call to Push Reform’
“If he’s the reformer he says he is, why would he not encourage cleaning up his home state, which is one of the most corrupt at this point in the United States?” said Sen. Christine Radogno (R-Lemont). “He has an opportunity to really put some action behind his words, and he won’t do it.

Also, she was asked to give three changes that will differentiate Mccain’s from George Bush’s. Her answers were taxes, government spending as in earmarks and Healthcare. In taxes, there is no difference between Mccain’s and George Bush’s. Mccain and George are basically the same on Taxes. Just like the Twin towers. Secondly on Government spending, Greenspan just ended Mccain’s argument on that and also how can you reconcile that you are going to reform earmarks when Alaska got the biggest allocation on earmarks and you were at the helm of affairs. Thirdly Healthcare, Mccain has no known policy on Healthcare. He has a proposed a solution but because that is tantamous to Privatisation, he is gradually backing away from that but he still remains stucked. Thats why Healthcare and Education still remains Mccain’s weakest suit. If you want to get him on a defence, talk about Healthcare, Social Security and Education. Wondering why Obama is not capitalising on all these.

In 1980 at Occidental Obama ran partly with a circle of wealthy, drug using Pakistani friends. He traveled to Pakistan between Occidental and Columbia in 1981. That was during the Second Military Era (1977-1988) – Pakistan was under Sharia Law and not the most welcoming to foreign visitors, especially without some graft or connections.
Based upon documented accounts, Obama seems to have also traveled the country-side, not just in the cities. By 1981 Pakistan had become the world’s number one supplier of Heroin. Upon his return Obama took up residence with one of the drug using Pakistanis in a run down, presumably drug infested part of NYC in an apartment they couldn’t qualify for based on income.

HarletDavidson, you are just quoting statistics. What do you really think is GDP. GDP is the total market value of all final goods and services produced in a given country in a year. Thus GDP =consumption + government spending + gross investment +(exports-imports). Thus if you take this individually you will realise that even with a positive GDP, it cannot readily translate to increased job creation and others.

And you sir are quoting nothing but democrat talking points. The info I posted is verified.

Posted by: HarleyDavidson | September 15, 2008, 4:16 am 4:16 am

Let me take it one after the other, We all know that Consumption has been very high in the U.S regardless of the economy situation and that has to do with a lot of incentives from the Government. Government spending is astronomically too high that it cannot be quantified on the blog pages. Thirdly, gross investment, that is where Government has been able to sustain a positive GDP. Why, there is a lot of Government bailouts on the housing crisis, banking crisis, economy crisis and others. It may look balanced but it is to the detriment of the United States because that is borrowed money. Lastly, exports. That is where I agree with free-trade but it should also be structured to protect the jobs of workers in the United States. I think thats the only place where hillary Clinton and Mccain were right and Obama was wrong before Obama finally got it right and even made a better proposal than Mccains

Has anyone wondered about McCain’s first wife and three children? Her story is compelling evidence that McCain is not a man of honor.
Some of you might also want to check the “Vietnam Veterans AGAINST John McCain” site.
You need to ask how a man that abandoned his crippled wife to marry his multi-millionaire mistress, refers to that multi-millionaire wife as a “c*nt,” voted against every bill supporting veterans, blocked the efforts of POW families to gain information about their loved ones held in Vietnam, voted against equal pay for equal work, admitted extreme ignorance about the economy, has nothing in common with common Americans and endorses falsehood over honor is planning to use a young, vibrant mother of five to his own political benefit and agenda.
It is puzzling that Palin fights the “good ole boys,” then runs willy-nilly into their arms when asked to participate. If elected, I truly hope that she understands the scope of her usefulness in this campaign. Once her usefulness is no longer needed, she will be shut away and marginalized by the “good ole boys” then trotted out for a tie breaking vote now and then when necessary. Those “good ole boys” will not tolerate a “maverick” when it comes to their agenda. As long as she is useful, they will continue to exploit her. It could very well ruin her and her family. I do not believe that she understands or comprehends her role in McCain’s calculated, mean, selfish, and black-hearted step to attain the White House. He was not putting “Country First” when he collaborated under duress with the North Vietnamese or now with his choice of Palin for VP.
It is with regret that I watch this woman be used like a prize at a carnival to appease the tastes and appetites of the evangelical right.
I worry for my country. News is not good this morning on the business front. Our country needs everyone to think and choose carefully this election. Follow every link, look at everything, find the facts.

You can’t trust the media’s reporting in this election. This is the most biased reporting I have ever seen. Each citizen will have to make up his/her mind but the way I see it the American people have two of the worst candidates for the presidency. Unfortunately, no one will vote for the best one available (in my humble opinion): Ralph Nader. I guess he does not have Palin’s good looks, glasses, hairdo; he does not hunt caribou, he does not pretend to sell jet airplanes on e-bay, he does not have catchy one liners like Palin’s “Thanks but no thanks”, he does not have a sexy wife or good looking children like empty shelled Obama, he does not have oratory skills and smart looks like Obama. In other words he is plain “Boring” just like lieutenant Columbo and looks and talks like Columbo. So, fellow American’s I believe we are going to have four more years of uncertainty and economic misery. May God help us.

The McCain/Palin ticket represents all that is bad in American politics….lying to the American people so that they can get what they want and abusing power so the government only represents the people they want.
That’s exactly what the Bush/Cheney administration has done over the last 8 years.
Americans deserve better.

Posted by: Mary | September 15, 2008, 6:39 am 6:39 am

The media will do and say as they please. Nothing new. People need to be able to find out for themselves what is true and what is not. The problem is somewhere in the last eight years a lot of american became extremely stupid and that stupidity is now being to show itself in this election year. However, this article ain’t far off the mark. All you need to read about, see the polls, watch the interviews and see the number of people who will vote for McCain/Palin because they see them as being just like us, with no thought to their policies and what they say (or rather do not say)they will do for America. McCain/Palin spend a lot of time telling us that Obama cannot do what he says he will do, but spend no time on telling us what they will do. But there are people out there who are OK with this approach. It’s obvious some americans don’t care about their country at all.

The reason many voters will not vote for Obama is because they are embarrassed of him, his life, his unfair tactics and his beliefs. And they still don’t know all about him.
1. They don’t want a candidate that has been in a twenty year relationship with Reverend Wright and the Trinity United Church of Christ.
2. They don’t’ want a candidate that has a twenty year relationship with Father Pflaeger and refers to him as his compass in life
3. They don’t want a candidate that went to a church that supports Louis Farrakhan, an anti Semitic racist, that has led a rally of 20,000 Nation of Islam members to support Obama in Chicago
4. They don’t want to defend Black Liberation theology.
5. They don’t want a candidate that lies about his relationship with Tony Rezko, the Syrian Criminal that sold his property to Obama and supported his campaign.
6. They don’t want a candidate that could work with a domestic terrorist, William Ayers.
7. They don’t want a candidate that Hamas supports.
8. They don’t want a candidate that Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam support
9. They don’t want a candidate that has a wife that has just now realized she was proud of our country.
10. They don’t want a candidate that denies Florida and Michigan their voices
11. They don’t want a candidate that mentions 57 states in his speeches. 50 states in the USA and 57 states in the Nation of Islam (IOC website)
12. They don’t want a candidate that fights unfair and hyjacks Michigan delegate votes from his opponent.
13. They don’t want a candidate that is inexperienced, especially dealing with military issues.
14. They don’t want a candidate that considers it a loss to not to be able to attend his anti American, racist Church.
15. They don’t want a candidate that has a “non practicing” Muslim father, but avoids the entire discussion of his father.
16. They don’t’ want a candidate that won’t debate
17. They don’t’ want a candidate that misleads the youth with an ‘Obama girl and her behind in their face”
18. They don’t want a candidate that says he’s an African American and missed the MLK Remembrance Day and the Louisiana Black Caucus meeting
19. They don’t want a candidate that enjoys laughing at sexism.
20. They don’t want a candidate that switches his position on gun control, FISA, the war in Iraq and abortion issues.
21. They don’t want a candidate that showcases his daughters on TV shows.
22. They don’t’ want a candidate that has poor judgment..
23. They don’t’ want a candidate named; Barack Hussein Obama
24. He is embarrassing.
25. He scares them to death.

What’s this with Obama – Anything to make Bush look bad. And so he thinks he is the President already??
OBAMA TRIED TO STALL GIS’ IRAQ WITHDRAWAL
According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July.
“He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington,” Zebari said in an interview.
Obama insisted that Congress should be involved in negotiations on the status of US troops – and that it was in the interests of both sides not to have an agreement negotiated by the Bush administration in its “state of weakness and political confusion.”

MCCAIN/PALIN-FOR THE COUNTRY’S SAKE

Posted by: Kelly | September 15, 2008, 8:05 am 8:05 am

I believed in a US that is exceptional in history. A nation that stands out.
The United States reached the peak of it´s power in the late 1990´s. Since then it is in decline. This is normal. Great nations and empires tend to throw away their 15 Minutes of fame and trade them for internal struggle, corruption and war.
I hoped the US would be not only great but exceptional. I hoped the US would break the rules and make a difference.
Instead half the country is comitted in voting against the best ticket for the White House in a very long time, Obama-Biden. Compared to them, the other two look brain-dead.
In the war of independence americans fought against lying, greedy, manipulative, ignorant Brits. The GOP today has become what the Brits have been then. A burden to common people.

I am proud of my country and as for it’s heritage, yes we’ve made mistakes, but we are still the best. As for you thinking Obama/Biden is the end all be all, that is your opionion. Mich mike, Like Biden, the Obamas gave an average of less than one percent of their gross income to charity. That’s less than I give, and I make $58,000 a year. The Clintons – the people the Democrats now love to trash – give 10% of their income each year to charity. As a Democrat – and contemplating becoming an ex-Democrat – I think we should all have as much compassion for the less fortunate as Hillary and Bill Clinton.

Dearest samhiguchi, any hot dog stand in Egypt can claim 400 years of heritage. Your ancestry doesn´t prove much of anything. That´s like a 5-year-old being all proud about the 3 books on his shelf.
This kind of “my nation is the greatest on earth” nationalism got people in Europe, especially Germany, into deep, deep trouble. People like you enjoy tough talk, but they never had to pay the prize for it. Germany lost 10 million people in WWII. That doesn´t include all the dead jews and still amounts to 15% of the population. After such a desaster you would rethink your position, too.
Concerning socialism: The GOP seems to confuse freedom with Charles Darwin´s survival of the fittest. Or at least what it thinks Darwin meant with it: Namely that the weak have no right to survive, and that it´s ok to not give them “socialist” welfare. Let them moulder away.
NEWSFLASH: Darwin applies to single genes, not whole organisms. This is well documented. Survival of the fittest is inside every single one of us. Not Races, not nations, not individuals, it only applies to single genes. Anyone who has a twinkle of interest in science knows about this.
All the GOP is good in is re-framing events with words to get away with milking the poor. That´s what I do in a club to convince hot women of my qualities as a leader. And that´s exactly where that skill belongs. In a club, not D.C.

Yes, scientists do believe in single genes and single cell organisms, they even believe that when an Amoeba reproduces by way of mitosis, two amoebae are created. But there are also many who believe that a living egg and living sperm joined together are not fit to survive.

Biden’s son resigned from lobbying the day his dad accepted the nomination. There was no press release at the time, its just now being picked up.
IN contrast, there was a release about Bristol Palin being pregnant, followed by indignation that someone would actually followup on the media release. Similarly she parades her son’s combat unit designation around, her youngest ones disability, etc. Wonder what her health care plan entails for the disabled when Roe v. Wade is overturned. I’d ask but that might be sexist right? I’d ask why the Royal Family sends their kids to Afghanistan under cover and she broadcasts which stryker battalion he belongs to but putting your kid at risk to fire up the base is family business right? Asking about her religous conversion from catholicism to whatever ism is an attack on religion, right? Dont ask, dont tell, just hunt moose.

Answer, with all the Corporations that BushCo has nationalized in the last 3 weeks. Come to America, get a free house, we now have millions of foreclosures on sale! Once we open the immigration door, give em a house an education and a job they will work their buts off and pay off all the debt BushCo has left to our children. That is after we are done buying houses education and jobs for millions of Iraqis.
To hell with McCain, never earned an honest dollar in his life! Knows nothing about the economy, has no plan to do anything – wont cut taxes, wont cut regulations, has never shown interest in the subject.
Wake Up! Bob Barr is the only conservative in the race.

Aloha your wrong about the missile crisis. JFK blew it with unconditional diplomacy in Vienna 1961 with Nikita that set up both the Berlin Wall and then the next year Cuba….”Eye ball to eye ball and the other guy blinked” (that and a Turkish missile tradeoff) sounds more like my McCain than your big O. Barry Esquire in 1962 would still in 2008 be negotiating ICBMs in Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico (like he really WILL in Iran, NK, Ukraine, Libya) and trade with the still existing Soviet Union like borscht and Russian language manuals will come very handy as they march in……..

Biden’s a tool.
I’m trademarking that phrase in case Obama or Biden plagiarizes it, since they both steal intellectual property left and right.
“Obama bin Biden?”
That’s mine, too.

i hope Obama does get elected so I can laugh when he gets nothing that he is promising done. He is a typical panderer, trying to buy your vote.

you have all fallen prey to the career politicians. they have worked for years to divide usso they can grab power. Now we just squabble amongst ourselvels using canned slogans and venom, while they steal the usa from us. America is owned by us, the people. They steal it and batter ir for their own gain.

recent history: The american infrostructure has been battered and stolen by a swarm of human locusts from our southern border. The American “sheeple” have become a mind numbed, media and drug swilling population, unwilling and unable to protect the country. Michael Savage said that. Ya’ll should listen to him. Americans have become dependent whiners, as is evendnt from the above comments. And dont corrent my spelling, I’m at work and have no time for this crap I dont even wkopw why I bother, someone will just reply with a slogan like “McSame” or NoBama. You all make me sick and I weep for the future and my kids futures.

RC:
1. Better Health Care.
You mean government run healthcare? How in the world could that be better?
2. More Tax cut for Middle class, no tax break for Oil companies.
BHO thinks you can pull water out of one side of a bucket. No thanks.
3. Diplomacy before war ( not 12 billion every months..and thousands of deads and disable for no cause other then personal ambition)
Diplomacy was tried and failed in Iraq. Sometimes force is necessary.
4. Ethics reform
From a Chicago Thug pollition like BHO?
5. Better GI bills for our vetern.
OK
6. No Privatization of social security.
Bad idea. Privatization is the only way to save this bloated monster. Where can I go to sign over all the money I now pay into SS into a private account? I would do it today.
7. Respected around the globe again, when he is President.
You’re joking, right?
8. Better education system
By sending a failed system more tax dollars? Democrats are owned by the teacher’s union. A Dem. will never fix education in this country.
9. Better financial reform
Again, by more regulation? THAT NEVER WORKS.
10. Balanced Budget just Like Clinton!
ROFL! Clinton created a bubble that only the Bush tax cuts fixed!
Obama/Biden: More tax and spend socialization for America.
NO THANKS

RC-Palin on experience. What you or I do not know, but others do and can not tell us is her involvement with North American defense network, and protection against terroist. She probably has more knowledge of this than any of the others. If some of this information were let out I believe anyone doubting her qualifications would be astounded. Regardless her selection and the selection of Obama have accomplished something that America has not seen. A motivated and energized public, this is good. All of the name calling and trashing does nothing but satisfy the emotions of those making them. It does nothing towards the errosion of the person being attacked. When all of the trashing, and the boasts are finished the voting public will be voting on character and character alone. Issues aside, the final vote is if the voter likes and trusts the person to vote for them. We have three that are Washington polititians, and one that for all practical purposes is a common person, someone who many can identify with. Qualified? We really do not know for certain, but she has performed her job and has made changes. None of the other three can actually boast that they have made a difference for people. Biden in 35 years, McCain in 25 years, Obama in 150 days, not one of them can list anything that really affected the common person. Obama has failures, Biden has time, McCain has reached across the aisle. What we have is one winner and three losers in essence. I’ll go with the winner, even if she is #2 on the ticket.

yo, robert b.
US tough talk alone isn´t scaring anyone. Especially when it comes from a traumatized (=tortured) senior who thinks radio is high tech and a beauty queen who has never heard from the bush doctrin. Just because the average american is scared by any mouse in the dark, you can´t conclude that foreigners are. I bet Bin Laden is allready laughing about the GOP ticket.
Now, when you mix the tough talk with a sharp mind, plus you lead with example, that´s when you get somewhere. Unfortunatly McCain is no scholar. He is simply not perceptive enough for clear and focused analysis. Just listen to how he talks. He is not the brightest.
“Unconditional talks” doesn´t mean we are giving out christmas presents to enemies. It is a trick to help cut out lobbyists and hawks from the decision process. In privat eye to eye talks you can still unleash hell over Iran. But you get rid of all the people who make money off the conflict.

Obamatons,
Thanks for sharing your Palin Derangement Syndrome with me: it’s simply…breathtaking.
Important debating safety tip: If y’all are going to call McCain and Palin “liars,” it always helps to marshal some verifiable evidence explaining exactly how and why they’re allegedly liars. AND FOR GOD’S SAKE, LAY OFF THE CAPITALS AND EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!!!!
Otherwise, my pretties, people will simply, and rightly, dismiss y’all as frothy-mouthed, bug-eyed malcontents who work at Burger World and live in your parents’ basements. ;)

Don’t listen to the lies that the republicans are great at spreading. Look at the facts and the issues! Go do your homework and find out for yourself. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
As an State Senator: In 1998, Obama was point man in negotiations to reform campaign finance ethics which led to the 1998 Gift Ban Act
In 2003, a group of lawmakers (including Obama) revisited the Act and added restrictions of Lobbyist activities and stricter enforcement of ethics law. In 2003, Obama spearheaded a law that requires police to video tape interrogations of murder suspects and negotiated a study to see if Illinois State Police were treating motorist differently by race. As a US Senator: Obama co-authored a bill with Republican Senator Richard Lugar that secured a $48 Million funding increase “to be used to destroy conventional weapons stockpiles, intercept weapons of mass destruction and respond to proliferation emergencies.” (quote citation from Lugars website -
Obama release -(Washington
Washington Post article – Obama ran an ad claiming he reached out to Lugar to travel overseas with him. After the trip, they crafted the successful bill. Here’s the article where Lugar confirms it’s accuracy.
Obama has been very active on Veteran affairs, including a direct influence on the Chicago VA office increasing the number of claims reviewers on staff in order to keep up with the increasing demand. He also introduced the Sheltering All Veterans Everywhere (SAVE) Act with the aim to help homeless veterans
In the Feb 2007 issue of Illinois Issues, Danial Vock provides this assesment of Obama’s first two years in the US Senate:
“Two years into his first term in the U.S. Senate, he has had limited opportunities to leave a mark at the federal level, especially as a member of the minority party. But he has worked with Republicans on new good-government laws. He co-sponsored one, signed in September, that will create a federal spending database so Web users can track all grants, loans and awards greater than $25,000. He also pushed to limit the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s authority to award open-ended, no-bid contracts in the wake of major disasters — a reaction to post-Katrina abuses.
More to the point, last year Senate Democrats tapped Obama as the chief negotiator for their caucus in talks over post-Abramoff ethics reforms, though those negotiations faltered.”
In short Obama has fought for many of the issues he’s talked about in his speeches recently. He’s been willing to work across party lines and he’s been active. He’s far from the “empty suit” Fox News lovers want to portray him as.

Hmmmm, I don’t know what kind of record Biden is referring to when he says that he and Obama have a record to prove it. Biden has a solid record of being wrong and Obama doesn’t have any record at all.

So, for all you Obama geniuses – I have a question for you.
Your candidate says under his tax plan 95% of Americans will pay less taxes. Yet, 40% of Americans pay no taxes at all. So how can 95% pay less? Me thinks Obama should have taken some Math Classes while he was in school. And he will lose, by the way, just as Gore and Kerry did. Why? Because of arrogance, and the belief that most of the electorate is stupid.

Wow, hearing that B. Hussein Obama wants to have the government take over the healthcare system just warms my heart. After all, the government has done such a FABULOUS job with the educational system-why not healthcare? I mean, we just keep throwing billions of dollars at it, and it gets better and better, right? And how are those programs paid for? Don’t you realize that “government-funded”=taxpayer funded? And if you allow Big Brother to take care of you, he will also want control. How can the govrnment decide who has too much money? The pigs are in the house, and the puppies are in universal preschool.

What is funny is that Biden has been the biggest shill for the very banking industry that is going through death throes. He is from Delaware. Home of Bank of America’s credit operations; the old MBNA; Chase etc. He wrote the very laws that screw the middle class each month they get a credit card bill. He voted with the banking industry to make filing bankruptcy by people with credit card debt impossible. He sold his home for an obscene profit to an MBNA executive and turned around and built a multi-million dollar estate. His son Beau ran for Attorney General with no prosecution background and was supported by lots of out of state money. His other son, Hunter, was a lobbyist for, guess who, the banking industry among others up until last week.He is also involved in a hedge fund that is being sued by its investors and one of the charges is that his son earned $1.2 million a year and was clueless about how to run hedge fund and was given the position so he could get out of the lobbying business so his Dad could run for President. Please, Biden and Obama, who backed a $3.4 million dollar earmark for one of Hunter Biden’s clients- are not going to reform squat. Excepting that is, their bank balances will be reformed upward.

UMMMMM! Let me recall, sleepovers with people we like. This sounds like Bill Clinton “Pimpimg Out” the Lincoln Bedroom in the White House to all of his Hollywood Supporters. Again the liberals want everyone to like us. Maybe The leaders of Iran and North Korea and come over and have a threesome with the little “fat ass” Danny Devito and his dwarf wife in the Lincoln Bedroom.I can recall when he was drunk like a pig on the “View” and expressed that he was boozing like a gutter rat with that other liberal pig Clooney. He then talked about how him and his ugly wife had sex in the Lincoln Bedroom.Read the book “Animal Farm” this is what we get when socialist elitists run government. Those liberal skanks on the veiw laughed it up about Devito.Barbara I was so surprised with you until I learned you had an affair with a married man.You are disgusting with the morals of an alley cat.You women with the exception of Hasslebaeck really grilled John McCain about his veiws and Palin. You woman looked like old shrivelled fat asses amd John and sara looked beautiful.Wake up America these liberal pigs are out to destroy the wealthy and working class Americans and create a socialist welfare state with free college, free healthcare, and jobs for all from the government, UMMM sounds like China and the Soviet Union. Barbara if I recal her affair was with a married black man in gvernment politics.Watch out Michelle Obama she may be looking for one more notch on her old, bitter, leathery belt.GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THE GOP.

I have excellent health care as I am faithful to my working wife and I work as well. Since we have dual coverage through our employer we do not pay anything for perscriptions, or Dr. visits other then our monthly premiums. My issue with health care in this country is that it takes several days to get an appointment with an MD, it is called supply and demand, and Obama and Biden will destroy health care in this country by exponentially increasing demand while reducing supply. Who in their right mind will endure medical school for a job at the post office? The socialisim that obama is proposing turns everyone in the medical field into a civil servant, you know the obnoxious underlings that process the papers at the DMV. If you want health care, GET A JOB, Stay Married, and do it yourself.

Simple choice, really:
Is government too big, or too small?
Does government spend too much, or too little?
Are we taxed too much, or too little?
Think for yourselves people. The choice is obvious.

Most of the intelligent people on both sides have already made up their mind.
These last few days of the campaign is a battle for the stupid.
Of course the democrats are 100% right, yet can’t translate their ideas into commonly used language. The GOP wins on this front. No contest. All they do is say “they’ll take your bibles and guns” and the stupids flock to the polls.
My only hope is that the republicans are
smart enough this time to not drive the country into the ground. Thats all this country can hope for. The GOP is hell bent on hollowing out this country and turning into Mexico…where they have a corrupt 1 party system and everything is paid for with bribes.

NEWS FLASH, FUTURE DATE 12-8-10:
President Barack Obama has requested Hillary Clinton to once again travel to Saudi Arabia, in her veil and burka, in order to request a reduction in oil prices from 350.00 to 200.00 per barrel.
Putin has replied to Obama’s comments that his wife looks like a “pig in lipstick” by sending in more troops to Austria and Poland. Putin has failed to reply to President Obama’s comments about how Putin’s wife should stay at home and be a mother. This comment was much lauded by the American Liberal Press.
President Obama has apologized to Iran for the comments he made after 4 Iranian nuclear missiles hit Florida, Maine, Los Angeles and New York last week. Comments threatening retaliation were withdrawn after President Ahmadinajad apologized to the milions of family members killed in this mistake.
President Obama has pledged that he will be more direct in dealing with the thousands of American Prisoners of War currently held in Tehran prisons, after an Iranian invasion took place on the Indian Iranian borderlast month.
American Community Organizers dispatched to assist Pakistani civilians in the Peshawar region have been missing now for over a week. Three heads have been found in the community near the Afghan border, but President Obama has stated that the heads have not been identified.
Another tax increase is on the agenda for reparations for muslims living in the American sector of Texas/California corridor that have been displaced in the recent land trade between Congress and Mexico. Congress has ceased funding for all former US citizens of european ancestry still living in this area.
President Obama has announced that the world court has approved the final terms of sale of Alaska back to Russia. President Obama has also questioned the massive troop/air forces build up by Russia and China that has been taking place since negotiations began in the Aluetian Islands. It is hoped that money from this sale will go to continue the monthly reparations to african americans that have caused major cuts in military spending. Canada’s objections were overruled.
President Obama has announced the passage of another military cut by Congress- This will leave only three bases in the United States and one Air Force base on a former oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico, one mile from Tampa, Fl.
Sightings of Iranian, Syrian, Chinese, Russian and N.Korean troops on the Oklahoma border are mere rumours, President Obama announced earlier today.
The year old law mandating abortions for non-black women of european ancestry have resulted in the imprisonment of over 5,000 women. Chelsea Clinton, the head of the agency of compliance once again refused to answer questions. Six reporters were arrested when the asked their questions a second time to Ms. Clinton.
It been great bringing you the news in this greater USA. Please pick up your new USA flag with the great 38 stars around the center green cresent. Remember that displaying the old racist red, white and blue symbol with thirteen stripes and fifty stars is now punishable as hate crime which can land you in jail for five years.

Let’s address all of the issues in this campaign at once with the the absolute truth. Bush, Cheney and Rove have never once told the truth or committed to honest action, as everyone knows. These enemies of people everywhere, have intentionaly caused all of the corruption and problems in this country and throughout the world. No-one else is to blame. There is nothing left to say. Obama has always been right and honest; he just lacked the power to help us. For the good of this country and the world, we must vote for Obama without question. When he is in office, all corruption and problems in this country and the world will be defeated, except when they are not, in which case, such failures will rest solely on the shoulders of Bush, Cheney, Rove and Snowball.

I’ll ask again – can any of you Obama geniuses figure this out- Obama says he will give tax cuts to 95% of the American people, but there are 40% that pay no taxes at all. So, how can that be possible? And as for you Jeff, any idiot knows that sales tax on items you purchase go to the state and community, not the federal government. Obama is talking about income tax – big difference, dumbo.

Hello,
I see most of you are really in love with Mr. I do not tell to many “LIES” Biden, and I do not take others words and use them for myself. Well I have spent a long time in Washington D.C., and the funniest thing that I have said recently was I would really like to serve with a person of John McCains character, and then you have Barack Obama who I am now running with, and Oh Heck just forget the nasty-(BUT TRUE)-things that I said about him earlier this yr. Just chuck it off to me trying real hard to write another book, and he would not let me copy any of his sayings in any of his books, and then I remembered they were not worth copying. Oh what the hell back on the plane. Is there any press coming this time? No!!! We have even lost the secret service, Yea seems they want to go, and see the “BABE” that is running against you. You dam ugly!!!!!,
and she makes a whole hell of lot more sense than you do, and she has not been in Washington D.C. like you all of her life, and she is a hell of lot nicer on the eyes than you, and Barry O’ are combined. So please take a vacation, and pass the bill to your liberal sucking media friends at NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, The David Letterman Show, and all the other ass-holes out there that think that they have scored browny points by being the self-serving ass-bites for the democrap party this yr. Joe Biden go to hell with your attitude.

Obama received $126,349 in campaign funds from Fannie Mae in the short time he has been a senator.Since all had something, for comparison McCain had $20,000 over a 20 year period. So who is more involved with the irresponsible mega-mortgage companies. Obama violated the Logan act when he tried to talk with Iraqi leaders and get them to stall. Answer from them, no!
There’s more too. People need to research and not just listen.

I want to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all who are standing up to the Insanity posted by Obiden supporters.I know it ain’t easy. And to ya’all(go ahead and mock my accent, you probably have half my IQ anyway)supporting Osama, whoops,Obama;did ya’all support Stalin too?’Cause if you listen reeeaal good and take the suger coating of what he says they sound purty darn similar. And if ya’all want to know I’m 17.And before you start saying I don’t know nothin because I’m 17 let me tell you something,I watch jaywalking as much as possible and can answer questions right more than anyone I’ve seen on there(with only a few exceptions),like the fact that I know;A,we bought Alaska from russia and that it is the 49th state and,b,that alaska is bordered by Canada and Russia(and if ya’all are still wondering I’ll bet a lot of you’ns don’t know the origin of the 21 gun salute,it’s 1+7+7+6.And if you don’t know what that is it’s the date the Declaration of Independance was signed, giving us this great Republic which we call home).I am into learning about history and let me tell you,Obama is the scariest person I’ve ever seen.Because he has the potential to kill more people than any other Tyrant in history. And do you know why?Because people actually BELIEVE the BS he feeds them.He is nothing but a Far Left socialist and I will tell anyone who asks. This must stop, nobody who believes him has read about what Hitler,Stalin and other dictators spewed and as such does not know the Hallmarks for a classic Dictator;[1]Goes on and on about helping the “poor” by robbing from the “Evil Rich”,[2]Wants to sacrifice rights for the “Greater Good” and,[3]Wants to make Socialist-ized,whoops,Nationalized healthcare “Plan” that will make everything “Affordable”.There are many more things he has done to show his Socialism but they have been covered up by the “UnBiased”(What a crock)media. Now don’t take this to mean I support McCain 100%,I don’t,but it doesn’t matter because Obama is NOT an option. But I will tell you that the real person person who should be POTUS is Sarah Palin, she has more Experience in one pinky than the others have combined. And I would vote for the winner, even if she’s going to be second in command. And I will not be posting again,I have no intention of getting depressed by reading what Leftist Idiots say about me to make themselves feel better.I will end this by saying;I have no need for a new Savior barrack obama,I already have one.Anyone disagreeing can KMA.Bye
