Biden Says McCain Economic Bailout Proposal is Notable for What it’s Lacking
ABC News’ Matthew Jaffe Reports: As the two rival presidential candidates confer with President Bush and Congressional leaders in Washington about an economic bailout package, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., said Thursday that he has seen Sen. John McCain’s, R-Ariz., proposals for a possible plan and what caught the eye of the Democratic vice-presidential nominee was what was missing.
"What’s notable is what’s not in the package," Biden said at a rally on the banks of the Susquehanna River in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, near his hometown of Scranton. "The silence on issues relating to the middle class is deafening in the package John’s put forward. There is no help for families struggling to stay in their homes. If John keeps changing his rhetoric, but not changing the worn-out philosophy that got us into this spot, if John continues to do that, ladies and gentlemen, why is John expecting us to believe he will be an agent of change? Look, that’s the reason we need change."
Biden blamed McCain for sharing President Bush’s economic philosophies that the Delaware lawmaker cites as the cause of the nation’s current financial crisis.
"Of all the important issues we face, all of them, all of them, John McCain has been profoundly out of touch because he’s been so in touch with President Bush’s position on those issues and nowhere, nowhere has that failed philosophy, that failed philosophy of the past eight years been more exposed than in the recent and immediate economic crisis we’re facing in this country," said Biden.
"John McCain has not disagreed with one single substantive economic reform policy initiative that George Bush has initiated in the last eight years, the very thing that’s dug us into the deepest hole we’ve been in in the last 40 years," the senator continued. "Ladies and gentlemen, where was John a week ago? Where was John a month ago? Where was John five years ago? Well, I’ll tell ya where he was, he was bragging to the very Wall Street titans he now calls the merchants of greed, he was literally on Wall Street bragging to them that he was shredding the regulations that were tying them down, and now, and now John, God love him, expects us to believe that he’s the man that’s gonna corral that greed he identified on Wall Street, he’s the man that’s gonna go out and reinstitute consumer protections and regulations so that we don’t see these cowboys run wild with your money and your future?"
"Folks," he told the crowd of 1000, "if you believe that I got a bridge for you and I guarantee you it’s a bridge to nowhere and it starts in Alaska."
Biden said that while some other politicians were "posturing", Obama had "changed the tone" of the economic crisis discourse.
"Unlike all the rest of the people talking, he’s demonstrated that he’s changed the tone. He’s prepared to change the tone in Washington. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what we mean by leadership, not posturing."
But Republicans responded by arguing that it was the Democratic presidential ticket, not McCain, that was engaging in political games.
“In times of crisis, Americans have always been able to bridge our divides and solve our problems but apparently Barack Obama’s running mate sees it as an opportunity for unfiltered partisanship and political opportunism," said Republican National Committee spokeswoman Blair Latoff. "John McCain suspended his campaign and is working with the nation’s leaders to address this serious economic crisis and believes that it is more important to put his country before his political campaign.”

Barack Obama does not need to release any records and he does not need to explain himself. That is why the media has not pushed him. They know he is destined to become POTUS.
Barack Obama is the hope and the salvation we have been looking for and waiting for. He knows this and so do so many others like Oprah Winfrey, Reverend Wright and Jesse Jackson. If you do not vote for Barack Obama there is only one reason: you are either a racist or you have been infected by Satan.
Turn away from the republicans and their games and embrace the only true man who is entitled to the election: Barack Obama.

__________
What are you, daft? Housing is at the HEART of this crisis and the reason for this bailout. Republicans are too short sighted to see that helping families by re-working bankruptcy laws to allow mortgages to be repaid on different terms would actually ASSIST the value of the assets on which these trash securities are based. All republicans see are “handouts”.
Gawd… if you’re going to be dumb, go be dumb in a corner… stop dragging the rest of us down with you.

hmn, housing/mortgage crisis is the center of the bailout. The entities that they are going to bailout are in their position because of all the bad loans they gave out. The bad loans are there because they were trying to make money on people wanting to borrow.
Some people used this lending practices to buy beyond their means, which is their own fault, but others did not understand what the loan really meant, which is the lending company’s problem. One of the things that some of the lawmakers want in the bailout bill is a way to allow judges to change the mortgage terms to prevent people from losing their homes. This would actually benefit the lender and the borrower since the lender will still get money, and the borrower gets to keep their home.

While us Americans are stupidly commenting on age, debates, lipstick, etc., Putin is lending Chavez $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to buy weapons! Now that is something to talk about. Here we are in a financial crisis and a Nov. presidential election, and we will have enemies south of our border with all sort of weapons and help from Russia. We will soon have a new commander in chief. We REALLY need a good one. Think very hard about this. We not only have to worry about the terrorist blowing up our cities but now we will have Chavez who hates us so much with Soviet money, weapons and power. We need to get our house in order and come together as a nation and quit this silly talk. We need someone in Washington who has experience in foreign affairs and this person needs to select carefully people with great financial experience for key posts.

John McCain was sponsoring legislation to address the problems with Fannie/Freddie. Democrats blocked by party line vote. Joe Biden and Obama are trying to negate their roles in this scandal. They should be ashamed of the lies they have told. Barney Frank told congress as recently as May 2008 that Fannie & Freddie were financially sound! No integrity from Biden or Obama. Only Lies and Finger Pointing! They need to return the money they received before they look to take our money!

If two new polls are any indication, all the lying and adver-sleazements coming out of the McCain campaign could be starting to take a toll on his maverick straight-talker image.
Some advance numbers from a new New York Times poll tell the story.
Fifty-three percent say McCain is attacking the other candidate, versus only 35% who say that Obama is the attacker. Meanwhile. only 38% say McCain is explaining what he would do as president, while 56% say that about Obama.
Obama is also winning among independents on these questions: Forty-four percent of them say McCain is attacking Obama, while only 36% of them say Obama’s attacking.
Separately, Steve Benen has a nice catch from the new Washington Post poll. Obama has a double digit lead on the question of which candidate is seen as “more honest and trustworthy,” 47%-36%. Interestingly, this is quite a shift: The two candidates were roughly tied on this question in July and August.
The McCain campaign gambled that it could take the campaign to unprecedented heights of dishonesty, no matter what the press said about them, without it dragging him off the pedestal he’s been placed on by a decade or more of glowing media coverage. Maybe not so much. We’ll see.

For those people who bought beyond their means.
I totally understand. I bought a condo this past year. I was told I could afford more. I was told anything was doable. I stuck to my guns for a year before I found one I was comfortable with the payments. Now, with the economy the way it is. My job is about to be wiped out. There are no jobs that pay me what I am making now. The banks, the realtors, they all tried to sale me this big song and dance. THE BANKS, THE MORTAGE COMPANIES, THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. They out and out got people into this thinking they would make big bucks down the line on them. Well, it backfired. Now they are going broke and they want us to bail them out. In the meantime we go under. I think not. They made their beds, let them sleep in them also. Even if I go down with them. I am going down anyway.

Meet Barney Frank, One of the Architects of Fannie Mae’s Collapse
“These two entities — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — are not facing any kind of financial crisis,” said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. “The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.”

NYT Revealed True Cause of Fannie Mae Crisis — In 1999!
In a move that could help increase home ownership rates among minorities and low-income consumers, the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders.
The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets — including the New York metropolitan region — will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans. Fannie Mae officials say they hope to make it a nationwide program by next spring.
Fannie Mae, the nation’s biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits.
“Fannie Mae has expanded home ownership for millions of families in the 1990′s by reducing down payment requirements,” said Franklin D. Raines, Fannie Mae’s chairman and chief executive officer. “Yet there remain too many borrowers whose credit is just a notch below what our underwriting has required who have been relegated to paying significantly higher mortgage rates in the so-called subprime market.”

beck– the problem is, you let the banks tell you what you could afford. You know what bills you have every month, you know what mortgage $ you are comfortable with. I was approved for a home $100,000 more than the one I bought. Doesn’t mean I could afford it.

I can remember back when I was a kid that some candidate’s slogan was a chicken in every pot and car in every garage. Just as young girls believed the old tales that a knight on a white horse would rescue them from whatever, and young couples dreamed of owning their own home with a white picket fence. It’s all a part of the American Dream. Unregulated mortgage lenders and bankers since the Reagan administration sold the adjustable rate mortgages to so many mis- or uninformed home buyers who’re now in foreclosure. Then the bankers started gambling with those mortgages just like they were shooting craps with them. The bankruptcy courts are not the entities to force renegotiation of mortgages which have been foreclosed upon. The mortgage lenders and banks have to bite the bullet and renegotiate as many of those mortgages as possible into fixed rate mortgages, at the going rate for the current evaluation of the property, which in most cases is today much more realistically priced.

McCain Warned of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac Meltdown in 2006: Democrats Ignored Him
From the Congressional Record (May 25, 2006):
Mr. President, this week Fannie Mae’s regulator reported that the company’s quarterly reports of profit growth over the past few years were “illusions deliberately and systematically created” by the company’s senior management, which resulted in a $10.6 billion accounting scandal.
The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight’s report goes on to say that Fannie Mae employees deliberately and intentionally manipulated financial reports to hit earnings targets in order to trigger bonuses for senior executives. In the case of Franklin Raines, Fannie Mae’s former chief executive officer, OFHEO’s report shows that over half of Mr. Raines’ compensation for the 6 years through 2003 was directly tied to meeting earnings targets. The report of financial misconduct at Fannie Mae echoes the deeply troubling $5 billion profit restatement at Freddie Mac.
The OFHEO report also states that Fannie Mae used its political power to lobby Congress in an effort to interfere with the regulator’s examination of the company’s accounting problems. This report comes some weeks after Freddie Mac paid a record $3.8 million fine in a settlement with the Federal Election Commission and restated lobbying disclosure reports from 2004 to 2005. These are entities that have demonstrated over and over again that they are deeply in need of reform.
For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac–known as Government-sponsored entities or GSEs–and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. OFHEO’s report this week does nothing to ease these concerns. In fact, the report does quite the contrary. OFHEO’s report solidifies my view that the GSEs need to be reformed without delay.
I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.
I urge my colleagues to support swift action on this GSE reform legislation.

“A visibly irritated Sen. Christopher J. Dodd (D-Conn.), chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, later said on CNN that the meeting was thrown off when Republicans brought up “some new core agreement” that supposedly had been floated by McCain and was being considered by the Treasury Department.
“What this looked like to me was a rescue plan for John McCain,” Dodd fumed. “This is a sad day for the country.” He said he still hopes that a deal can be struck but that the Republicans “need to get their act together and decide what they’re for.”

But is BO qualified?
The difficult question must be addressed: Is Barack Obama’s popularity due to his ethnicity more than to his accomplishments? Would a white senator with the same resume be considered his or her party’s nominee?
As much as we may hate to say it, it seems improbable. Barack Obama has yet to complete a single full term as a US Senator. He has no legislative accomplishments of which to speak, and he has yet to offer any specific details on how he plans to fund his grandiose plans. He has no military experience, nor any deep familiarity with the military machinery of this country.
To be sure, were Obama to be elected, his presidency would be a great step forward in this country, haunted as we are the specter of our racist past.
However, is it worth to gain this milestone at the expense of electing a man wholly unqualified for the office?
Merely paying lip service to such intangible ideals such as “change” and “diversity” will not make our country safer nor our economy stronger.
Unfortunately, it appears that Barack Obama simply does not have the appropriate qualifications to be president.

All you Obama haters/slanderers out there: get used to it, he’s going to be your president. People can see the bullpucky McCain is spouting–he’s been a deregulator’s best friend for a quarter century, and everyone knows it. The American people are not going to reward that kind of carelessness, now that they see so clearly the economic catastrophe that inevitably follows.

I noticed the different size, shape of that eye and I also noticed some difficulty with his walk, more so than usual, almost an ataxia.
It is time for him not to assume more responsibility for, surely, he is not up to it and would not be capable under normal conditions. I read an article in the latest issue of Newsweek and accounts of him before this campaign describe someone I do not trust with foreign relations decisions. Other than the conduct of war, in which he does not need to meddle if it is a just war, he offers nothing.

I get it. You want anyone to be able to buy a house that they cannot afford (signing on the dotted line to pay a certain rate for a certain duration), then when they cannot afford it, they want to be able to simply renegotiate the terms? Why should THEY get a new/better deal on their loan when I don’t and I’ve been paying what I agreed to pay.
Look I understand that hard things happen and people hit unforeseen financial problems. But what the he** is the point of having a contract if it isn’t binding.
It’s a tough problem to solve. And maybe working something out for those caught by predatory lending practices should be be address somehow.
Those going bankrupt because of unforeseen medical catastrophes should be eligible for some type of medical assistance.
But geez… there simply isn’t enough money in the USA to pay for EVERYTHING for EVERYONE.
I don’t know exactly where the line is supposed to be drawn, but I feel like we’ve definitely crossed it.
We’re a smart country. We need to find a way to solve this.

Judge, etc:
I wish everyone would stop harping on Fannie and Freddie. They are part of the problem, but not the whole problem. The problem is that investment banks — and homebuyers — believed that the cost of housing was going to continue going up and up and up, so homeowners (not just low income ones with bad credit) took out equity lines and some agreed to balloon mortgages (which should be illegal, by the way) that offered low interest rates to begin but then skyrocketed after 5 or 7 years. Homeowners assumed they could refinance later based on the appreciation of their homes. These mortgages came from all over the lending industry, not just Fannie & Freddie (Countrywide, Wells Fargo, etc). When the value of housing went down, people discovered they could not refinance on better terms and meanwhile many regular folks got in trouble with equity lines. At the same time, investment groups like Lehman Brothers made totally risky investments on bundled mortgages — a shortsighted gamble they should never have taken. To blame this solely on F & F is too simplistic (though it provides a convenient scapegoat). This is a systemic problem that is not isolated to one or two bad apples.

Rodney,
I totally agree with you about deregulation. There has been no oversight of Wall St. for years. The party that has been in power for the last 8 years systematically wiped out all the remaining regulatory mechanisms put in place during the Great Depression that would have prevented the mortgage crisis from becoming a “crisis” in the first place. There’s a reason we have regulations, people.

LA Times: Praise For Those Who Caused This Disaster (May 31, 1999)
It’s one of the hidden success stories of the Clinton era. In the great housing boom of the 1990s, black and Latino homeownership has surged to the highest level ever recorded. The number of African Americans owning their own home is now increasing nearly three times as fast as the number of whites; the number of Latino homeowners is growing nearly five times as fast as that of whites.
These numbers are dramatic enough to deserve more detail. When President Clinton took office in 1993, 42% of African Americans and 39% of Latinos owned their own home. By this spring, those figures had jumped to 46.9% of blacks and 46.2% of Latinos.
Under Clinton, bank regulators have breathed the first real life into enforcement of the Community Reinvestment Act, a 20-year-old statute meant to combat “redlining” by requiring banks to serve their low-income communities. The administration also has sent a clear message by stiffening enforcement of the fair housing and fair lending laws. The bottom line: Between 1993 and 1997, home loans grew by 72% to blacks and by 45% to Latinos, far faster than the total growth rate.
Lenders also have opened the door wider to minorities because of new initiatives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac–the giant federally chartered corporations that play critical, if obscure, roles in the home finance system. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac buy mortgages from lenders and bundle them into securities; that provides lenders the funds to lend more.
In 1992, Congress mandated that Fannie and Freddie increase their purchases of mortgages for low-income and medium-income borrowers. Operating under that requirement, Fannie Mae, in particular, has been aggressive and creative in stimulating minority gains. It has aimed extensive advertising campaigns at minorities that explain how to buy a home and opened three dozen local offices to encourage lenders to serve these markets. Most importantly, Fannie Mae has agreed to buy more loans with very low down payments–or with mortgage payments that represent an unusually high percentage of a buyer’s income. That’s made banks willing to lend to lower-income families they once might have rejected.

Lightseeker,
I repeat, the problem is NOT isolated to Fannie & Freddie. F & F might make a convenient scapegoat, especially since those institutions gave so many loans to low-income minorities, but the foreclosure crisis is hitting a lot of high income people too. My husband and I occasionally buy foreclosed homes at auctions and we have noticed a lot of top dollar homes (indeed, homes owned by white people — can you imagine that!) purchased at the height of the housing bubble (2005-2007) going into foreclosure. The loans that went bad are from just about every lender out there. In fact, of the foreclosures we’ve looked at recently, I would say 1 in 20 is from F & F.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying F & F have no responsibility, it’s just that I’m afraid the debate — and the fingerpointing — is going to be limited to F & F when that is just simplifying the issue.

Judge,
The “bad paper” is coming from all over the mortgage industry. F & F are partially responsible, but are not the sole origins of this “bad paper.” Go to your local county clerk’s office and look at the original loans on the foreclosed properties in your area. I guarantee you the majority of them will be from other lenders.

McCain could have saved us? Give me a break. The GOP has been a longstanding and fierce champion of deregulation.
In fact the Commodities Futures Modernization Act contained the “Enron Loophole” that was drafted by Phil Gramm and Enron lobbyists. And we all know how well that worked!
While I am sure there is enough blame to go around, it’s a bit disingenuous for conservatives to go around squawking for greater government oversite and regulation while blaming the Democrats for all the economic problems that are currently occuring.
From http://www.politifact.com:
“Did deregulation “help cause” the disaster on Wall Street? The carnage is still being autopsied, but most Wall Street watchers agree that light regulation allowed irresponsible lending and mortgage fraud to go unchecked. The Commodity Futures Modernization Act in particular has been singled out for spurring the growth of poorly understood, unregulated securities such as credit default swaps, which have been getting a good portion of the blame for the financial crisis of September 2008.”
And in another article regarding McCain, it appears that his attempt to increase oversight over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are exaggerations at best.
Barack Obama’s campaign responded to McCain’s remarks by labeling his desire for tougher oversight a myth. Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor noted that McCain in 1992 voted against imposing stricter controls on Fannie and Freddie during Senate debate on a broader housing bill, and this year argued against providing big government bailouts in response to the crisis, whether for big lenders or homeowners.”
And in another article from the same website: “We give McCain some credit for weighing in on problems surrounding Fannie Mae, even though he got involved after a comprehensive government report issued a loud alarm to anyone watching. However, his attempts to depict those efforts as some sort of early warning that could have lessened the current credit crisis just don’t wash. All McCain was talking about then was the potential fallout of accounting troubles in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He didn’t say anything about a freewheeling climate among creditors that had major financial institutions becoming badly leveraged on bad loans. We rule his claim Barely True.”

For the braindead, who continue to say Obama isn’t a citizen: He was born in Hawaii.
“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.
Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.”
Thus, get a life, and ask Sen McCain, where his Medical Records are, and where his wife’s tax returns are!

Your right on that tiny point, Judge. That is why you have to go to the county clerk’s office to see where the mortgage originated. When you buy foreclosures, you have to research all of that information to make sure there aren’t any hidden liens, etc. You can’t tell by the foreclosure itself where the mortgage is coming from, you can only tell by doing the research. I stand by my claim that F & F is a red herring.

Do the mechanics of how mortgages are sold really matter, Judge?
How is Southern Girl’s analysis more faulty than yours?
It doesn’t matter how many bundles of crap are bundled with a bundle of crap, you are starting out with crap, ending up with crap, and there’s at least one as*hole somewhere in the chain.
Fundamentally, it is the homebuyers at fault. No one else – they made poor decisions, based on greed.
People who couldn’t afford the loans but took them any way – they got greedy.
Then, there are the lenders who had no business lending but got greedy.
Let’s not forget the securities ratings companies that literally put lipstick on a pig that was manufactured from bundles of bundled crap. They were motivated by greed, too.
Further down the chain of crap-chompers were huge numbers of greedy foreigners and public servant retirement funds who couldn’t buy enough lipsticked bundles of AAA crap, of course, out of greed.
The people who played the “investment” game over the past half-decade were too stupid to know that the game was over.
The music was about to stop.
Considering that 50% of the population has sub-normal intelligence, I’m not surprised this happened. People of sub-normal intelligence are more widely distributed through the population that one would suspect.
Let’s do what is needed to keep the economy afloat and, when it gets back on an even keel, we need to do a deep and thorough herd-culling of at least 200 million people, in the US alone.

Rodney: Didn’t you go to school? Or are you just plain dumb. When your bombing like he did in Vietnam you don’t think of who is standing in that path. Its either us or them. Get real. In wartime and you in that plane there are no exceptions to the rule. Didn’t the Japs bomb Pearl Harbor. They didn’t care who was standing down there they just bombed. What is the matter with you. In wartime there is no time for sorrow. You just do what you have to do and bomb.

Mhu Cao Mhu Cao…..You are saying human nature does not prevail. When people are given the opportunity to buy their dream with Bill Clinton’s poor financial administration policies, that they will just shop and not buy. WOW so much for you understanding psychology and the methods of advertising.
Most everyone has impulse buying that takes control of them. Advertisers know how to get your dollars. You buy thing with not to much thought because advertisement have entered your though processes.
Then there are the bankers that are given the green light by the Clinton administration to sell houses to everyone. I think Bill Clinton had good intentions, but those good intensions were taken advantage by unscrupulous bankers and Wall Street. Hence, the melt down…..
The Bush administration tried halting the sell houses to everyone no matter what the consequences. But he got into the path of the big money train and it ran over him.

Rodney: I think your just jealous because you know that ObamaOsama and bad mouth Biden are going to lose this election. And McCain will be living in the white house and it won’t be called the black house. After all with Wright, Farrakhan and all his half brothers and sisters in Kenya living there what else would you call it? I can just imagine the mess and smell. Kids running all over the place spilling pop, potatoe chips, hot dogs and whatever else junk they will be eating. But you can join them if you can stand it.

Rodney: Oh, that anger and jealousy is getting to you. You better be careful you can get a stroke then you face might twist. Oh by the way, your buddie Obama had to have three days training for the debate. What happened to his college education? I am willing to bet he got pushed thru to get rid of him and his drugs and booze. I am sure he didn’t graduate with honors.

rodney…Why are you yelling? Don’t you know the use of only caps means you are angry and you are yelling. Calm down, McCain will help through you financial mess.
Let’s see, I know I placed that legal birth certificate in my desk in Kenya.

JUDGY YOU ARE FULL OF CRAP—MCCAINS RECORDS ARE SEALED—–WHAT IS HE HIDING.I WILL ASK OBAMA TO SEND YOU A COPY OF HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE—BUT I WANT MCCAINS PANAMA CERTIFICATE AS THAT IS WHERE HE WAS BORN—-YOU DONT REALIZE IT BUT OBAMA COULD PURSUE THAT LEGALLY–ALTHOUGH HE WONT.

Judge: Good for you. You told Rodney right. And by the way how come Obama didn’t join the National Guard after he graduated college instead of being a wheeler dealer attornoy for a crook. Obama covered up for Rezko that’s why Rezko paid for his house and extra lot. Now he wants nothing to do with him because he is in jail. I am positive that Obama is involved with the deals but the court refuses to have Obama testify. I don’t know why they are covering up for him. But that’s how Obama is. He doublecrossed Hillary along with Nancy Pelosi making deals with the superdelegates to switch their vote. He is underhanded and crooked as can be.

Posted by: Judge | September 25, 2008, 9:40 pm 9:40 pm
Judge: Don’t pay attention to Rodney. He is upset because Obama is a loser and he knows it. Obama’s birth certificate is hidden either in Kenya or Hawaii. But if he was born in Hawaii why and with all the questions about it why don’t he get his records from the hospital in Hawaii and produce them so people would not be in doubt or his record of birth in Kenya. I believe he is hiding something and the government is covering it up.

YOU GUYS ARE THAT DUMB YOU DO NOT REALIZE THAT TECHNICALY MCCAIN MAY NOT BE ELIGABLE TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT——IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME –JUST DO YOUR HOMEWORK–AS I SAID EARLIER THAT OBAMA COULD LEGALLY PURSUE THIS ON A LEGAL BASIS—-YOU TWO ARE IN FOR A SURPRISE

Rodney: Palin’s minister would be a good idea. And while your at it get your soul saved while your still alive before the devil takes your soul. And the same with Obama because he never seen the inside of a chrisitan church. Face the facts Rodney, we all know he is anti-american and using this country to make history. Do you think for one minute he will take care of his own people? He won’t even go into the Englewood area in Chicago and he didn’t want to go into Philadelphia during his primaries. And how about the man that they caught that had a gun near Obama’s house. And that’s not the first time. I can see how well like he is.

Mariann Pepitone…No one can find any BO birth certificate in Hawaii. I know the legality of foreign born children. I have a daughter born in the Philippines. We received a certificate of birth through the American consulate in the Philippines. She has a social security number and a US passport.
BO, are you a legal citizen of the USA?

The McCain Campaign is HILARIOUS.
Know the reason why they call him a Maverick? Because the need a default comment when they can’t explain what the heck McCain is doing.
Like today. He suspended his campaign. Half of his campaign didn’t even know. Well, hehe…. he’s just being a maverick.
Listening to Hannity and all the spinmiesters today…. they are all spinning out of control.
Old Sarah “Bewitched” Palin is not doing any better. On her interview with Couric, she realizes the old vague folksy talk can’t get her out of answering direct substantive questions.
What laughs the republicans are providing.
GREAT IDEA. Senator McCain should END his campaign and go back to Senate and get ready for REAL CHANGE. CHANGE WE NEED.
OBAMA BIDEN TWO THOUSAND EIGHT
Posted by: Omentum | September 25, 2008, 9:50 pm 9:50 pm
Judge: Rodney is talking thru his hat. Of course McCain’s birth was all checked out by the government but Obama’s was not. I stil believe Obama was born in Kenya and later his mother brought him to Hawaii to register him there. You can easily find all that out and there are ways to do it. The government can do it quick but the government don’t want to cause a stir letting the public know how dumb they are for not checking Obama out in the beginning.

rodney…it is you that is in for a big surprise. John McCain’s parents are natural born American citizens. BO had only one American citizen parent and there are certain factors that must apply for BO to have American citizenship. BO has to prove more than John McCain. I know the law. You better consult an immigration attorney before you put your foot in your mouth.
Can not find that damn legal birth certificate.

Omentum: And the only change Obama knows is the change in his pocket or how to change his clothes. Maybe you can adivse Obama how to stop stuttering when he has to answer questions or stop saying AH, AH, AH before he answers. He has a problem and should take care of it. Could it be from those years of haevy drugs and booze that left an effect on his mind? He already admitted to doing that. Well, he don’t have to worry if elected, if elected Biden will be running the country and poor Obama will be standing in back of him listening.

Posted by: Judge | September 25, 2008, 10:05 pm 10:05 pm
Rodney: Your right about that. Obama is full of crap. I don’t think he understands what’s going on at the financial meeting. Obama is only interested in a debate that he is going to lose as he never ever won one yet. I can see going to Harvard was not a good idea for him.

It is now late morning and the sun is getting high where I live. It is time for the white sandy beach. Too bad Rodney must go to bed and dream about the lost soul, BHO.
I just wish I could remember where I put my legal birth certificate. Where is it BHO?

S.Adams: That’s telling Beck. No one can determine who is going to die first. Only God knows and we aren’t God and neither is the doctor. McCain is healthy right now and let’s hope he stays that way. Cancer is a dreadful disease and kids are also dying from it. Beck, just thank God if you never get that disease and you wake up every morning. So many young people are dying today. And Obama should that God himself for every day of life.

Judge: I think Rodney is upset because Saddam Hussein’s nephew BarackHusseinObama is going to lose the election. Obama’s father’s first name was Hussein. They really liked Saddam because they are named after him. People refer Obama as black but not so. He is half black half white the offspring of a black/white marriage and Obama is Mulatto. That word is on the internet. I know Obama wishes he was black. Can’t be. And Rodney can look that up. Blacks do not want to use that name and neither does the media. Obama knows what he isn’t black.

hang: Well that goes for Obama. Where is his original birth certificate and not the one that says registration of birth. If he was born in Hawaii then that hospital should have a record of his birth. He knows there’s questions about it so why doesn’t he show his hospital records or are they in Kenya.

Bhrandon: If you are a democrat all your life now is the time to be republican. This is the worst congress in the history of this country. The democrats cannot run congress. And Nancy Pelosi is a joke as house speaker. She could take some lessons from Hastert who was excellent in that job. I was a democrat all my life but not this year. Obama is a very stubborn man and he knows there is a crisis yet he doesn’t want to arrange a later date for the debate. I don’t know why he is so anxious for the debate. He lost every one he was in and failed in the forum interview. Besides that they say all they have to say in their campaigning.

A man walking his dog ran into his daughter’s 6 y.o. friend and her parents on the street.
After a few pleasantries, he looked at the little girl and said, “Well, what do you want to be when you grow up?”
The little girl quickly retorted, “I want to help homeless people. There’s a homeless man over by the grocery store that’s hungry. If you give me $50 I’ll give it to him so he can eat.”
Her parents beamed, obviously very proud of their daughter’s fast and firm retort.
The man looked at her and said, “Tell you what I’ll do. You come over to my house and wash some of my clothes and mop a couple of floors and I’ll give you the $50 to give to him.”
The little girl thought for a minute, then looked up and said, “I know! Why don’t you just get him to do the work and you can pay him directly?”
The moral: Even a 6 year old kid can be a lot smarter than liberals.

What really disturbs me is how much Americans seem determined to vote in their worst interest. In repressed countries with corrupt governments, people are powerless, unable to do much barring an uprising a la the Ukrainian Orange Revolution. Here, we have the power to change things, to choose leaders who act in our best interests. Yet someone wants Palin or McCain to represent us? Leaders who will be loathed and at best tolerated by our allies? And who clearly will continue the direction we’ve been going in the past 8 years? C’mon. Really? If you want to be willfully ignorant and repressed, North Korea is for you. Or Belarus. You’ll love it. Otherwise… do some research, act in your best interests. Not someone else’s. And I’m sorry, but Obama is the one who represents the free, proud, diverse nation we were founded to be.

Sarah Palin is shooting at their elephant- now John McCain is running around throwing Hail Marys on his way down, saying bringing her onboard was a big mistake. No wonder they won’t let her speak to the media- ” Putin is flying around over Alaska.” I don’t look to see much of Sarah Palin unscripted ever again. Yes, somewhere in Alaska there’s a village missing an idiot.
