Palin Finally Warms Up to Media
"I want to ask you a few questions, Media," said Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin Monday night. "Let me ask you a few questions."
Lest you think Palin was finally opening herself up for a dialogue with the Fourth Estate, Palin was addressing the citizens of Media, Penn.
No, no change here. The woman seeking to be to a heartbeat away from the presidency without ever holding a press conference remains on the same relatively unaccountable path.
McCain-Palin campaign officials apparently feel the American people should trust her with the button and the world’s financial markets without ever taking questions from reporters.

This is a joke. This woman is a joke. McCain’s campaign is foisting a sick joke on the American public. This should be blaring in the news. Palin is not only stonewalling the invesigation of her alleged misuse of power in Alaska, but she’s campaigning for the second highest office in the land and not talking to the media. The other three people in the race have talked to the media constantly over the last 20 months. This should honestly be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, issues in the campaign right now. What are you afraid of Palin? That your bumbling patly rehearsed shallow answers will expose you for the political neophyte that you are?
Not to mention that this woman really isn’t all that bright. She claimed when she asked the Wasilla librarian about banning books she was only asking a “rhetorical question.” DON’T YOU MEAN A HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION, SARAH? Then, in talking about McCain’s claim that the “fundamentals of the economy are strong” she claimed that it was simply a problem with McCain’s “verbiage.” DO YOU KNOW WHAT VERBIAGE MEANS, SARAH? DID YOU MEAN ‘DICTION’? THAT WOULD MAKE A LOT MORE SENSE.

So what would you do if your appeal to the voters is higher when you speak directly to them (RNC) – versus speaking to the media and then have your statements ‘edited’ by the MSM (ABC/ Gibson). If I was Gov Palin I would target events which can not be ‘edited’ – to be questioned by the MSM – like the upcoming debate. The MSM ‘disposition’ towards Obama’s challengers preceeded her – and she is just adapting to it as best she can. That is what winners do.

Despite Palin’s complaints, no one is attacking her family.
Palin sent an e-mail to supporters this afternoon accusing the Obama campaign of going after her family, and when TPM Election Central’s Greg Sargent asked for evidence, the McCain campaign cited questions raised by an Obama finance committee member, liberal blogger Andrew Sullivan, and a Daily Kos diarist—a shaky bibliography in Sargent’s opinion.
Palin is an insult to politics that make sense.

When the media lost all objectivity and decided they could pick our president and try to change our views, they lost all intregity. Most of you have long forgotten the very basic principles of journalism. So when people begin shutting you out, I think maybe you should understand why. Integrity Mr Tapper, it’s a good principle to live by. Maybe you all should check your biases at the door and start doing what you got in the business for.

So much for Palin’s “understanding” of women issues. This CNN story is a Palin scandal and nothing less.

He said the only ongoing resistance he met was from Wasilla, where Palin was mayor from 1996 to 2002.

His Home! The place where he lives and raise his family .Then is his community where the people he greet every day lives and faces the same problems and challenges .If you organize and protect your community you protect your home, and then you sleep every night more secure !
It is really sad once analyze why McCain select Palin for running mate.

What about Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric, Jake? Mr. Gibson sure did not go easy on Gov. Palin. Unfortunately, the media are holding the McCain campaign to higher standard than the press is holding itself. The MSM will do anything to elect Sen. Obama, and the damage to prestige and trust will be permanent if the tough questions and scrunity of Sen. Obama do not match that of McCain/Palin very soon. I have zero confidence the MSM will do any thing different, and the MSM may be able to deliver the election for Obama, but there will be high price in terms of credibility.

Hold on a sec. She is the one who came out of nowhere and in her first speech started telling everyone off for being corrupt and in need of reform.
However instead of swallowing her and the McCain’ camaigns PROPAGANDA about her ( e.g. bridge to nowhere, 20% of the nation’s energy supplies, no earmarks, been to Europe because her plane landed in Ireland to refuel, etc. etc.) the media DID IT’S JOB and investigated the claims that she made. Many were discovered to be false.
There’s one reason she’s not meeting the media (it’s the same reason the GOP got the VP debate restructured so there would be no ‘free’ discussion between her and Biden) and that’s because they know that SHE KNOWS NOTHING.

THINGS EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SARAH PALIN
1. The lake in front of her home IS DEAD. Every year the state restocks it with fish, which promptly die. An example for how we should treat all the other lakes in the U.S., I am sure.
2. As Mayor of Wasilla, she started construction on an iceskating rink WITHOUT obtaining title to the land first! The result was a $1.7 MILLION DOLLAR settlement with the owner. Originally budgeted at $1.5 Mil, it ended up costing $15 MILLION DOLLARS!
3. Alaska has so much money (from oil taxes) that they send a check for $3000 to every man, woman and child. Balancing the budget did not exactly require a rocket scientist!
4. Despite the wealth the state of Alaska enjoys (which you pay for when you pump gas), they still ask for and receive MORE MONEY per capita from the Federal government in earmarks than any other state!
Posted by: John | September 22, 2008, 9:14 pm 9:14 pm
THERE ARE SO MANY QUESTIONS FOR SARAH PALIN. BUT, SHE IS NOT TAKING QUESTIONS
Like, why is she conducting Alaska state business on a Yahoo email account?
Why did she say she would be open about the “TrooperGate” controversy, and now she amd the McCain Campaign are doing everything possible to delay and shutdown the investigation?
Why did she lie about visiting Iraq, when she never did?
Why does she say she opposes earmarks, yet with her leadership she has asked for nearly a half billion dollars in such earmarks?
Why did she never travel outside of the US and Mexico, until last year? Does she have any world interest?
Why does she opposed abortion, even in cases of rape and incest?
Does Palin have any control over the Alaska National Guard? If so, what key achievements has she had in managing the Guard the past 18 months?
Does Sarah credit a Kenyan Witch Hunter for blessing her and making it possible for her to become Governor, and why?
Sarah is a very scary prospect for VP and potential President!
For me, an honest person is open to talking. She appears incredibly DISHONEST AND DECEITFUL by not answering Americans’ questions.
Sarah is George Bush with Big Hair.
Divisive, Huge Ego, Ultra-conservative and Ignorant.

Jake,
When was the last time you (and I mean ABC News) had a sit down with Obama and asked him relevant questions? He has never answered any questions about his past, except to say “that was a long time ago”. Your liberal left coast media friends have never asked any follow up questions on the Ayers situation, the Rezko situation, the abortion votes in the Illinois Senate, etc…..
The story here is now becoming just how far in the tank you personally are for Obama.
If you don’t watch your back, you will be nicknamed Keith II!
I would expect some balance, but am pretty sure that Barack must of called you and stated that now wasn’t the time to be concerned about being fair. Being fair will be after the election if “your guy” wins!

Obama sat before the editorial board of the Chicago Tribune. They were very impressed when he told them he was there to answer any question they had, until they didn’t have any more questions to ask. (And he kept his word.)
This was after the business with Rezco selling the Obamas 10 whole feet of yard so that their kids would have a little more space to play in had come to light and been roundly criticized.

Given the incompetence shown by Charley Gibson, and the thuggish and superficial attacks afterwards by the attack dogs of the left parading as journalists, its understandable the Palin handlers are reluctant to engage the media. As for balanced coverage, there has been alot of coverage of the sports complex Palin developed in Wasilla, and its 10% cost overrunn (trivial). Why not some coverage of the housing projects in Obama’s district while he was state senator. The book “Obama Nation” says Obama supporter and now convicted felon, Tony Resko, got 10s of millions for housing projects, most of which are now in foreclosure. Absolute NO coverage of this by the MSM.

People who subscribe to the “media are evil theory”, have been tricked by the GOP into thinking all media is biased. There is biased media, to suggest all media is biased is a mistake. You should expect your leaders to answer questions. Democrats should answer questions as well. But most of all, the four remaining candidates should answer questions, use your own mind to filter any bias.

Sorry, Jake, but there is NO 4th Estate in America to which Governor Palin is “accountable.” The 4th Estate is dead, and fair and unbiased journalists are wholely absent from the scene.
Governor Palin owes “journalists” NOTHING after the absolutely APALLING way she’s been treated by the “media” (what we used to call journalists, but we now have to call you the “media” because you’re all nothing but talking heads). Given the realities of this new age, Governor Palin is accountable to the voters of Alaska and the United States, to Senator John McCain and to her God, and she can darn well “talk” to those individuals in any way she darn well pleases. Governor Palin is not accountable to the “media.”

I think that it is our responsibility to be good stewards of the earth. I think it was something Jesus said. In any case, if you don’t agree, then I don’t want you or anyone like you near public office.
But wait! There is more.
Palin is about as much a reformer with executive experience as Al Capone. You did notice how she asked everyone working for tiny Wasilla for a letter of resignation AS A SIGN OF LOYALTY TO HER.
You see, in good government, the government employees are loyal to the citizens, not the Big Boss.
Also, there is the little matter of her incompetence as a manager. Would YOU start construction on a multi-million dollar facility WITHOUT OBTAINING TITLE FIRST? Maybe! If you are a fool.
Isn’t SUCCESSFUL MANAGEMENT the test of executive skill? Palin managed to “hold the line” keeping a $1.5 MIL project to only $15 MILLION DOLLARS.
She definitely will do as good a job with the federal deficit as George Bush!
Then, there is the Richard Nixon part of Sarah Palin. Suspected of abusing her power. Stonewalling the investigation (not the ‘new’ investigation where she files a complaint against herself with a board under her control). Now all we need is an 18 minute gap!

It’s only about race in Obama’s and your minds.

Doesn’t the media know that it is not only inappropriate but SEXIST to ask questions about Sarah Palin’s record?
It DOESN’T MATTER that she abused her power both in Wasilla and as Gov.
It DOESN’T MATTER that her irresponsible behavior as Mayor resulted in a dead lake in her front yard.
It DOESN’T MATTER that her incompetence resulted in starting construction on a multimillion dollar ice rink without obtaining title.
It DOESN’T MATTER that she believe victims of rape and incest should HAVE NO CONTROL over her own body.
It DOESN’T MATTER that she belongs to a goofy church where people PRETEND that being filled with the holy spirit looks like you were possessed by the devil.
It DOESN’T MATTER that she is stupid enough to believe in creationism (no word yet on whether God or the Devil planted those dinosaur bones).
It DOESN’T MATTER that he state is A WELFARE STATE.
It DOESN’T MATTER that she is the queen of PORK, and is gov of the NUMBER ONE state in federal earmarks per capita.

McCain selects a last-minute, female VP from out of nowhere after meeting her just ONCE and most high-level Republicans had NO CLUE about her. But you accept her and worse, expect us to just accept her knowing practically nothing about her?
What you don’t understand about her is that there’s an information gap. So when she doesn’t give interviews to fill in the holes, the media starts digging to fill in the holes themselves.
Don’t get mad at the media. They’re intrigued by her just as much as you are, but they haven’t put her on a pedestal yet. She could easily shut them up, but CHOOSES not too. Wait, let me correct myself. They won’t let her speak to them to shut them up.

Palin was in the top 2 of many lists of VP candidates, including the National Review, probably the best known conservative mag/blog (William Buckley founded it).
Just because YOUR echo chamber didn’t know about her doesn’t mean she wasn’t well known.

Other than the current crisis which is caused by the Democrats figuring out how to force banks to make bad loans to people who can’t afford to pay them back, the economy is fine. GDP growth last quarter was 3.1%. That’s the historic norm.

There is some truth to your statement.
Earlier Obama was isolated from the press. They were nice to McCain. And Palin gives press availabilities so infrequently they get marked at a memorial somewhere.
What is even worse is when the press get it into their psyche that one of candidates is dishonest. Did you notice McCain’s campaign manager complaining about some members of the press using the word ‘lie’ to describe McCain?
Posted by: John | September 22, 2008, 10:08 pm 10:08 pm
Lets not let the cat out of the bag. Is McCain’s gambit. But the media has dug and facts are coming out like the 25 million dollar road to nowhere, that goes up to where the bridge was to be built that Palin didn’t cancel. Some fiscal conservation there Governor!!!! Or not returning to the US Treasury the millions sent to Alaska for the bridge that she had placed in Alaska’s general fund. So we in the lower 48 plus Hawaii subsidized their tax return checks afterall…. And Palin calls herself a fiscal conservative who is a good steward of the tax payers monies. What a crock of crapola.

That’s a heck of a lot more than Sarah Palin. She has done two interviews, one with Sean Hannity, a figure wholly friendly to the Republicans and Sarah Palin. She has had NO press conferences. Kind of uneven, huh?

From what I’ve seen, she couldn’t debate my 17 year old daughter and come out ahead. She doesn’t even know a thing about energy policy and she comes from a state whose economy is based on it. I really, really want to hear what Sarah Palin has to say. Let’s start with women’s rights. Then creationism. Then troopergate. Apologists say that this is common. Baloney. I live in a rura Rocky Mountain town – and not a liberal one and we have a special prosecutor for sexual crimes. Typically I call several dozen voters in an evening. Palin has become a major liability for the GOP in this group. Her inability to speak with the press is rightly seen as weakness. It reminds everyone of Bush.
This is adding up to a debacle for the GOP. I guess the strategy was to lock down the base and stoke the culture war up, but events have overtaken the McCain camp. By the time she gets trotted out for a press conference, her trendiness will have faded completely. Nobody will care.

What does Sarah Palin have to speak to the press for? They take every word she says outta context anyway, why would she give them the satisfaction? Kinda damned if she does & damned if she doesnt eh? Sarah Palin will speak the press on HER terms, not theirs! Quite frankly, I think this is a pretty smart move by the McCAin campaign.

It’s interesting that their slogan is Country First. Makes them sound very patriotic, lovers of democracy.
Yet freedom of the press is one of the pillars of ANY democracy and was included in the first amendment to the United States Constitution, along with freedom of religion.
The press is usually one of the first things a government clamps down on when it wants total control. Think China.

So ignore her. Really. You’re giving us nothing but talking points and petty insults from her anyway. Go on strike on behalf of the American people! If she wants to be VP, she’s going to have to be treated like a potential VP.

Jake — you sound like you are “entitled” to have her talk to you, just because you are the press, as if it was her “duty” as a candidate. But, have you done your “duty” as a journalist? Have you been fair, balanced, objective? Or have you been incredibly biased and insulting? Why should she lower herself to talk to you, after you have been so cruel and unfair, and so fawning and lovey dovey with Obama?
Before you go around criticizing her, take a look in the mirror, look at your own reports, and honestly try to say that you have lived up to the expectations of a real journalist. Shame, shame, shame, Jake Tapper.

Given under the circumstances, I don’t blame them! I think Biden is still new to us! Yeah, he has been in Congress for 35 years, but he is not a well known by the common folks. I don’t know him much. I don’t really know his world view. I don’t know what he has accomplished! Sara Palin is new to everyone, including the reporters. Plus, most reporters are liberal!!! If you reporters gave her a chance to be introduced, then she may have been more willing to take questions. Instead, a liberal blogger made false story on her family before she was introduced at the convention. So, I don’t blame them. It is the liberal reporters fault.

MORE BAD NEWS FOR McCAIN AND PALIN!!
WASHINGTON (CNN) – A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll suggests that by a 2-to-1 margin, Americans blame Republicans over Democrats for the financial crisis that has swept across the country the past few weeks — one factor that may have contributed to an apparent increase in Barack Obama’s edge over John McCain in the race for the White House.
In the new survey, released Monday afternoon, 47 percent of registered voters questioned say Republicans are more responsible for the problems currently facing financial institutions and the stock market, with 24 percent saying Democrats are more responsible. One in five of those polled blame both parties equally, and 8 percent say neither party is to blame.
McCain just can’t shake all those years of deregulation, with a weeks worth of incoherent rants!!!
Can’t wait for the debate!!!
Bye, bye McSenile…

Well, let’s see… she was mayor of a tiny town in Alaska, but needed to hire a City Manager to run the place — so much for executive experience. And she left the town in debt after her boondoggle of a sports complex… not to mention the attempts to ban books and her horrendous Human Resources record.
She’s been governor of a small (population-wise) state where her questionable human resources skills again came into question, and she managed to bill the state for staying at home!!!!!
Some experience and skills she has. Come November 4th it will be a pleasure to send her back to obscurity!
Thankfully, she didn’t run for Senate where she MIGHT have had a running chance of keeping the seat RED, but Stevens corruption will most certainly give way to a Democrat on November 4th.
I love how you republicans keep wanting to dress these guys up when you were so quick to diss democrats with even more experience!

The way the media, the Democrats and Hollywood has trashed Gov. Palin is literally a NATIONAL DISGRACE. The smears, disparaging comments and ridiculously callous, rude remarks about her, are downright dispicable. Many of the remarks have been make out of ignorance and jealousy and because the Democrats self-destructive and just plain evil. Now that they have trashed Gov. Plain for the whole world to see, foreigners are now trashing her as well. It is a mistake to speak ill of one of your own because others will speak of her the same way or even worse. At the end of the day Gov. Palin is a fellow American with many more accomplishments than the most of the Democrats, media and Hollywood types who waste their time trying to tear her down. I hope she and Senator McCain win by a landslide in order to teach all of them a lesson they’ll never forget. I’m sad to say that I’m a registered Democrat and to feel better, I’m voting McCain/Palin.

@cincyr
I haven’t seen anything about it at Politico, but i’ll take your word for it. Politico isn’t ABC though. Let’s see ABC put it on their nightly news news just like they do every smear about Palin. David Axelrod is Obamas top campaign advisor and he’s well known for Astroturfing. He was behind the smears on Palin and the media should look into it, but they won’t. They’ll cover every smear about Palin though.

McCain has said ‘NO’, to gun shows.
The NRA is now against McCain.
His Oil Controling Advisors, are telling McCain to Lie? Why? So they can use scare tactics with Oil Prices.
Is this a corporate Country Take Over?
Did McCain choose Palin to help stp crime in America? Then why is her state in so much trouble? If Alaska Oil Companies already have so much oil surplus, as Palin puts it, Then Why is McCains Oil Tycoons not allowing Alaska to share? To raise Oil Prices? To make a quick buck, of Americas expense? Why is McCains Tycoons STILL conroling the Oil Markets, when the American people can not afford a tank of gas?
ASK HIS ADVISORS AT THE NEXT RALLY.
Stand UP for AMERICA, and NOT OIL.
Vote ‘NO’ To McCains Advisors!!

GIBSON: Have you ever met a foreign head of state?
PALIN: There in the state of Alaska, our international trade activities bring in many leaders of other countries.
GIBSON: And all governors deal with trade delegations.
PALIN: Right.
GIBSON: Who act at the behest of their governments.
PALIN: Right, right.
GIBSON: I’m talking about somebody who’s a head of state, who can negotiate for that country. Ever met one?
PALIN: I have not and I think if you go back in history and if you ask that question of many vice presidents, they may have the same answer that I just gave you. But, Charlie, again, we’ve got to remember what the desire is in this nation at this time. It is for no more politics as usual and somebody’s big, fat resume maybe that shows decades and decades in that Washington establishment, where, yes, they’ve had opportunities to meet heads of state … these last couple of weeks … it has been overwhelming to me that confirmation of the message that Americans are getting sick and tired of that self-dealing and kind of that closed door, good old boy network that has been the Washington elite.

Does not matter how many show up at anyone’s rally, it only counts when they show up at the voting booth…so enough of 60,000 or 6 million.
Funny though, before she showed up, McCain couldn’t get enough people together who cared to hear him speak.
So, she shows up and all of a sudden we are supposed to think this is a good ticket because they get tons of people to come see a novelty?
And yes, as an informed AMERICAN citizen I do want her to talk to the media and answer my question, I don’t vote on blind faith.
I even ask about merchandise before I buy it, so I sure as hell want to know about someone who will be seconds away from a button that could end my children’s lives.
She is trying to buy my vote, then give me something more then just parroted gibberish that she has been spoon fed.
Biden had been on Meet The Press I believe 42 times, we have heard from Obama many more times and we know where McCain stands….where does she stand besides next to him?
It is your right as a citizen to know what the government is offering you for your vote….won’t you feel stupid when you wake up from the morning after the night before, and see you put someone in who hasn’t a clue and who do you blame then?
Just my own opinion, and I have as much right as you do to voice my thoughts, I will fight for yours as well and not try to change what you believe.

PALIN: I have not and I think if you go back in history and if you ask that question of many vice presidents, they may have the same answer that I just gave you.
This may come as news to you, but the history of the United States goes back much further than thirty years.

Regarding your Jefferson quote:
- They did not have TV back in Jefferson`s time like we have now. If they did, he would write a different quote.
- They did not have 24-hour cable TV stations who were giving unbalanced, unfair political opinion in the guise of news.
- They did not write articles in the newspapers of those times about Jefferson`s personal life – he was having an affair with his black housekeeper. Was that or other personal things ever in a newspaper back then???

Zank,
Even George Will is now biased against Conservatives according to the rants
here.
WASHINGTON — Under the pressure of the financial crisis, one presidential candidate is behaving like a flustered rookie playing in a league too high. It is not Barack Obama.
Channeling his inner Queen of Hearts, John McCain furiously, and apparently without even looking around at facts, said Chris Cox, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, should be decapitated. This childish reflex provoked The Wall Street Journal to editorialize that “McCain untethered” — disconnected from knowledge and principle — had made a “false and deeply unfair” attack on Cox that was “unpresidential” and demonstrated that McCain “doesn’t understand what’s happening on Wall Street any better than Barack Obama does.”
Posted by: Leonard Peltier | September 23, 2008, 6:44 am 6:44 am
Looks like small town folks and women are unfortunately important for Obama to win over, now. I’m still irked from being told that I “cling to my guns and religion” to a room full of millionaires in San Francisco. He thinks he has the right to talk about us in such a condescending way and then pander to make up for it. Truth be told, in my eyes Obama is a man (I don’t even think of him as biracial) who has a great education and lots of money, but his personality and judgment is seriously troubling to me. Why would you vote against the born alive infant protection law? “It may make the mother rethink her decision” is Obama’s reason. I have serious, serious doubts about that man’s integrity.

I am suggesting changing the colors of the electoral map .From Red and Blue, to Black and White. Also I suggest Spanish language to be taught to kinder gardens with American / English like second choice. Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez like guests of Honor at the day when Obama sworn President.
That is no bad idea, is far better from have another 4 years of Bush administration with the puppet of the far right McCain as President .And then after he pass away have the Pit-bull with lipstick bombing Russia .
Why McCain can’t put together two sentences and Sarah Plain give only scripted interviews? That indicates mental constipation and final state of plain idiocy.
I don’t have any problem in characterizing McCain or Sarah Plain! .They is the Republican nominees! John McCain according to his own campaign believes Republicans are corrupt and incompetent.
Obviously he has inside information

Posted by: ethel08 | September 23, 2008, 8:58 am 8:58 am
lucky: then why doesn’t Palin speak to regular voters? If she’s so afraid of being “edited” and “misinterpreted,” why not talk to the people whom she wants to represent? She continues to make appearances, like today’s in NY, and won’t talk to regular voters. This has happened time and again, with the only exception being a couple of events. Otherwise, it has been all speeches and “no questions, please, not even from the everyday people whom I’m supposedly so much like.” If you want to carry on with your notion that the press is “biased” against her, then explain why she won’t answer questions from the voters she wants to elect her.
This is nothing more than a celebrity candidacy. She signs photos, she meets with famous people like Bono, and she does three one-on-one interviews that are absolutely secluded. Why won’t she come out and meet with REAL AMERICANS?
Posted by: ethel08 | September 23, 2008, 9:04 am 9:04 am
America no longer has a free media. They’re all owned by corporations with agendas of their own. There is no such thing as investigative reporting. The networks’ news divisions have been taken under the domain of their entertainment divisions. The cable “news” networks are little more than opinion pages come to life masquerading as news. What used to be reliable newspapers are now nothing more than rags.
As much as Democrat versus Republican, this election is about the American people versus propaganda and bias promoting itself as journalism.

As someone who saw the Obama campaign strategy of “tarring and feathering” Hillary Clinton as a racist and a monster become a platform in the mainstream press….I want to say to Palin…choose your forums carefully….sometimes when you think they are out to get you they really are.
And it is a truism that you can’t advocate for one candidate (Obama) at this level without attempting to destroy another.
When you take the ugliness and deceit of Obama’s campaign and you magnify and embellish it across mainstream media it becomes overwhelming to the voter.
But after awhile like the rants of Rev Wright we become immune and stop listening. There is no longer any reason to listen to the talking heads or trust their lopsided noise.
I believe in the McCain/Palin ticket…People are afraid of reform and that is why they fear them.
I have no confidence in Hollywoods opinions or the anger in the media.
McCain/Palin…the true reformers.

So Obama wants to talk to Iran and Chavez but not real reporters!!
What is the Obama campaign’s defense for hiding from the media? Maybe it is his associates!!
William Ayers has more experience then Obama!!
Denny – Hannity does not have to be balanced, that is what colmes is for uh duh – ‘Hannithy and Colmes’
Now where is NBC on being Objective or the NYT, or CBS I do not hear you libs complaining about them, but when a person such as Hannity who does not hide his position does not protect Obama you claim unfairness, well he is not a Journalist!! (if he was then he would be a lib)

“I say this as soon as Obama the top of the dem ticket takes questions from the Press then Palin the second on a ticket should take questions!”
Obama had a press conf after taping an interview with O’Reilly just last week.
McCain may hold his 1st press conf in 40 days today.
The McCain campaign tried to kick out the media(writers but not cameras) from Palin’s meetings with foreign leaders today.

The McCain attempt to carefully script Palin’s story line isn’t only insulting to the media, it’s insulting to voters. And I think news organizations should be clamoring and screaming even louder. My guess is without more pressure we won’t be seeing Palin on This Week or any other Sunday talk show. The McCain camp can complain about media treatment, but they are the ones being unfair.
