Potential “First Dude” Todd Palin Speaks at Cindy McCain Tribute
ABC News’ Jennifer Duck Reports: You might say Todd Palin was part of the First Wives Club today at the Minneapolis Hilton in "a Tribute to Cindy McCain." Elisabeth Hasselbeck of "The View" was MC at the luncheon and introduced Cindy McCain and Todd Palin as "the next First Lady and future first Second Man."
Hasselbeck added, "You better get your game face on because America fell in love with your wife last night."
Palin, who is new to the national spotlight, explained in a soft spoken tone that the experience is "unbelievable" and said with a smile, "Is it just me or do things move quick around here? Just a few nights ago I was on the north slope working the night shift and here I am today."
"I don’t have to tell you that the Palin family has had quite a week," Palin added. "You never know what the future has in store for you."
"I should’ve asked a few more questions when Sarah joined the PTA," Palin joked. "When my wife starts talking about reform, corruption and making government work for the American people, it’s best to just move out of the way."
Cindy McCain said she was "proud" of her husband’s choice in a running mate. “She is a dynamo!”
"She is tough, tenacious, and takes on the establishment," the potential First Lady said. "She is someone who understands you don’t have to be a Washingtonian to do good in government."
McCain also joked it was nice not having to worry about wearing the same outfit as the VP nominee’s spouse.
The Governor of Alaska’s husband has said in the past he prefers the title "First Dude." And if the Republican’s win the White House it’s possible he would change that title to "Second Dude."
Although Former President Bill Clinton liked to refer to himself as "the First Lad" when his wife was campaigning for the Oval Office, Todd Palin would be the first male to play the role of White House spouse.
Gov. Sarah Palin described her husband Wednesday night as "a story all by himself."
"He’s a lifelong commercial fisherman, a production operator in the oil fields of Alaska’s North Slope, a proud member of the United Steel Workers’ Union, and world champion snow machine racer," Palin said in her address to the Republican National Convention Wednesday night.
"We met in high school, and two decades and five children later he’s still my guy."
A hot topic of conversation has been the amount of time Gov. Palin would have for her five children, and soon-to-be grandchild, if the Republicans win the presidential race.
McCain advisor Carly Fiorina hit this topic head-on at the beginning of the light-hearted luncheon.
"I have been both incredibly proud and outraged to have to defend Sarah Palin against the sexist attacks by the media," Fiorina said. "We women, we’ve all been there and we all recognize it and we need to stand up and say it for what it is."
Other speakers and performers at the luncheon included country singer Clay Walker and actor John Voight.

Yeah right Elizabeth! More like Sarah insulted and horrified American’s last night. She gave no substance. She didn’t not tell what the plans are for our country. She focused on tearing down Obama and took other American’s with her. There is so much to speak about and she chose to do nothing but lie! Pathetic!

Sarah is a poor excuse for a VP. She gave a speech written for someone else and then changed a little for her. She is a puppet for the Republican party. She did not focus on one issue that matters to American’s.

Is it just me or do things move boring around here?
I am starting to yawn at all this idle self-promoting by the Palin clan.
Suddenly this is the best family in America. That strategy isn’t going to work this time around. Humility only will win the day, lest the clan be labeled elitist.
For small town folk, they sure are caught up in a lot of yakking and flak. Time to lay low and offer as little rope as possible, because it will certainly backlash.
Imagine in a month what will come to light based on this last week’s worth of tidbits.
Small families in small towns have the biggest skeletons…

I was suprised and very pleased with Sarah Palin last night. She puts Barack and Obama in a very pale light. She has the smarts, talent and experience to do the job.
McCain/Palin will win. I was a Hillary supporter before but never for the real socialist.

Remember the “Just words?” speech? That was plagerized by Deval Patrick, another black protege by Deval Patrick who ran on change.
He’s now the Governor of Massachusetts with a dismal approval rating.
I’ll be he dreams of 80% approval like Governor Palin.

Polls are showing that America did indeed fall in love with Sarah Palin last night. If your a fan of Obama the Messiah, of course you’re not going to like what she said. Most talk is that she hit a grand slam with her speech however. You go girl!

All of a sudden, in a heartbeat, focus is on the Republicans. Sarah Palin sucked the wind right out of the Democratic sails.
Suddenly, Michelle Obama has been shoved to the back of the stage and this “breath of fresh air” has taken the spotlight.
Democrats – there isn’t an image consultant or makeover artist that can put Michelle together and have her outshine this very real, very charming young woman. I would be proud to have her as my daughter. Michelle ? not so much.
Obama and Biden are a stuffy, boring pair and they hoped Michelle would breath some life into their campaign. Game over, they would be wasting their time.

It is amazing how so many people criticize Palin for no reason. I think she is a great speaker and carried herself very well last night. She said a lot more than Obama would ever say much less on his own accord. Get realistic, I like to see some of you people stand up before millions and be as confident as Palin. At least she is real and not fake like Clinton.
Get over yourself

The best part of the speech last night were the funny digs at ole HOPE and CHANGE Obama. What an empty suit that guy is, and finally the right side has someone who isn’t afraid to point it out.
I have a suggestion for all you sour grapes dems on here who are whining about Sarah P…this November when it comes time to vote, just vote ‘PRESENT’. All your smart elites will understand the nuance of that, won’t you?

Billy,
Pay attention here. Sarah isn’t running against Michelle. Sarah is actually on the Republican ticket – She is running as the Vice President along side McCain. The vice-president is the second in command at the White House.
Michelle is Obama’s wife. Obama is on the Democratic ticket, running for President. The president is the first in command at the White House. Michelle is NOT running for political office at this time.
Are you following that now?
Republicans…

This line “We met in high school, and two decades and five children later he’s still my guy.” was incredibly hokey, yet I could see my wife saying it (change some details), so it worked for me. A lot of her speech was like that – it very easily have been cheesy and annoying, but she delivered it just right so it wasn’t. Overall, I think she did a great job of introducing herself to the 37 million Americans watching, but going forward she needs to cut back on the folksiness, and adopt a move professional tone – not like a professional politician, but like a competent business person.

It all seems like a big mystery to me. My guess is that he’s never really accomplished much, because if he had, his campaign, with the help of their friends in the media, would be publicizing the hell out of it. The fact that they AREN’T saying anything about it says a lot in itself.

Why are the Democrats/Liberals/Media so afraid of one little woman?
They are all having a serious freak out. The hate, lies, trash talk and venom directed at Sarah Palin just goes to show just how fearful of her they are and with good reason.
Go for it idiots. She can handle it and the American people love her already, she’s smart, charming, poised and honest. She is a NORMAL wife, a mother we can relate to and she wears skirts!
She won over many many voters last night.
She has loads of experience Obama can only dream of, can speak off the cuff without all the uh’s and ah’s, she loves America (unlike Michelle) and tells it like it is.

I was a bit ambivalent about McCain’s VP pick before last night’s speech. I thought Sarah Palin’d better deliver or I’d have to start questioning McCain’s judgment. Guess what? She did deliver. OMG, I was so impressed and amazed. Despite the short time she had to prepare for this speech to be delivered in front of million viewers, she showed great composure and grace. She came across as a tough fighter and sincere human being. I could totally relate to her. She is a middle-class American, just like me. She has to juggle her career and family, just like me. She’s loyal to her family. In today’s high divorce ratio world, how many of us could claim that we’ve been with the same guy for 2 decades? I especially like that about her. She has strong family value, and I can see she loves her country, and will do whatever it takes to serve this country in the best interest of the people. It’s great that she’s not a career politician, but her track record has proven that she gets things done. I’d be proud to have her as my VP.

Sarahcuda stepped up to the plate last night as the most lied-about, slandered, and vilified person in America.
With 37 million people watching, she calmly smacked pitch after pitch over the wall and out of the park.
The pressure the Democrats, the MSM, and the hatemongers (but I repeat myself) placed on her was incredible. And that pressure produced a diamond.
Sarah Palin’s tears cure cancer. Too bad she has never cried. Ever. (hat tip to Frank J.)

I love the “liar!” claims. Obama was a paid community organizer whose main project was a rousing failure. His tenure in the Senate has included attaching his name to 69 bills penned by other Senators, none of which have passed. He’s a resume-padder of the first order, and mock-outrage over someone stating that a mayor has actual responsibility compared to a community organizer is ridiculous.
That guy standing in the middle of a protest march with a bullhorn? He’d call himself a community organizer. You think that job compares in responsibility with running a city or town? Astounding.
Palin gave a speech answering her insta-critics, introducing herself to a national audience, pumping up the headline candidate and criticizing the opponent. How is this significantly different than any other VP speech at a convention in history?
Look… I get it. If you’re a loyal Democrat, you’re going to look for any mistep the Republicans make and jump on it like it’s the end of the world. Folks on the Right do the same thing. However, please don’t confuse your desperate search for things to hate with an act of reasoned observation.

SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED. Fine double standard….I think she is great and just what the Maverick ordered.

Dan,
She didn’t say that being a mayor was more important than being a community organizer, she said being mayor actually involved some real responsibility.
Besides, Obama was not a “Habitat for Humanity” community organizer. He was more in the line of “Get out the vote for the Chicago political machine, courtesy of the honorable Richard J. Daley.”

I find it amusing that the Dems posting here generally attack the Republican ticket for their content/message, not the Republican posters here.
The Republicans posting here on the board attack the Dems posting here for their opinions about the Republican ticket.
I also noticed the Republicans seem to be throwing out names, racial inuendo and insinuation and general name calling towards the Dems here and the presidential ticket.
That certainly speaks volumes about Republicans here and how they really feel about their candidates.
Typical Republican hatred played down here in the microcosm. How sad and shameful. No moral fiber or content.

So funny to hear all the bile spewn at Palin. Obama and Biden are far from the smartest guys in the room, but let’s grant that they are for a moment.
Being a PhD from Princeton doesn’t qualify you to lead men into battle, be CEO of a Fortune 500 company or be successful. Some of our most effective leaders have not been members of MENSA or had graduate degrees from Ivy League schoools.
Joe Biden was brought in to be the grown up on the ticket and still can’t seem to figure out the difference between a battalion and a brigade and has been wrong on most of the major issues facing this nation over the nearly 4 decades he’s spent in Washington. Obama refused McCain’s offer to speak in a dozen town hall meetings. One surmises that Mr Obama is not as comfortable speaking extemporaneously.
I’ve noticed a great deal of animous and disdain for Palin which has struck me and others as masking for a broader disdain for rural, working class Americans.
Biden and Obama like to tout their “humble roots” as a way of connecting with the every-day-man, but the noble savages are only noble when they support their team.
My family largely comprises the demographic of who these political types are attempting to reach.
It is refreshing to hear someone who looks and sounds like us versus the typical politician.
I can’t over state the degree to which many of our acquaintances and friends are reacting to the effort to denegrate a woman from a small town, working class family.
It is hard to take shots about her and her so-called simpleton life without fragging the rest of us who comprise this demographic.
Hate to break it to the sophisticates in the audience but there is nothing intrinsically superior to being from either coast or a large city.
Most of the people I grew up were from hardscrabble families who have a strong work ethic, pay their bills and have a pretty strong sense of right and wrong. In short, these folks are the backbone of the country and are not so unsophisticated to know when they are being lampooned by the media or others.
I’m an Army vet and a member of the local VFW and vote and I won’t be voting alone. Keep denegrating working class rural types at your political peril.

One last point. It DOES matter that Obama decided to be friends with a leader of an organization that plotted the mass murder service men at a Ft Dix NCO dance.
Had the terrorist bombers not prematurely detonated the nail bomb, one can only imagine how many people they would have murdered.
When Bill Ayers says he “wishes he had done more”, the “more” to which he refers can reasonably be surmised to mean more bombing and more murders.
His terrorist activities would disqualify from being a friend of anyone I served and probably anyone I know. Claiming it happened long ago doesn’t give Obama a pass because Ayers has never apologized or disassociated himself from his past, in fact he has embraced it.
It is almost like befriending a serial killer who murdered years ago but has a charming disposition. Sorry, the dirt doesn’t fall far from the bag.

Palin is new to the national spotlight because the stupid media ignores republican governors. Why do we hear about New Mexico’s governor? Why do we know about Virginia’s governor? Why do we know about Montana’s governor? Because they are liberals and the media CHOOSES to cover them. It the media is so inept it doesn’t cover the largest state in the union, then it says how cocooned and in the tank they really are.

Billy, I don’t know who you are, but I beg your pardon with your ridicule of me personally. I spoke as a voter. I don’t know Donna, or whoever else you presumed to think was someone trying to post as someone else. YOU apparently have no life and are super paranoid.
I was merely posting my reaction as a voter after I saw the speech last night. I am a Thai woman who came to the US twenty years ago, and became a US citizen 8 years ago. I had no idea what republican or democrat was when I first got here. But after learning about the two parties, I chose to be a republican. I don’t believe in handouts. I believe in working hard to earn a living. I am a middle class American and despite the fact I was not born in the US, I am proud of this country I have chosen to call home. Those of you who aren’t proud and take this country for granted should be ashamed of yourself. I have never been a democrat, so you can count me out, but I cheer for those who used to support Hilary and are now voting McCain/Palin. You go guys and girls!

Oh, let’s see… She has been a nominee for less that a week and has been focused on her presentation to the party. There is ample time now for questions and answers, and they will be coming. Seriously, have you ever watched a convention before?

So, Enviro, its ok for Biden to be an attack dog, but not little Sarah? All Biden and the left have done for 8 years is tear into Bush. You guys don’t like it coming back at you. You people on the left continue to show your bias, hate, ignorance, and stupidity.

Mad Puppy, it’s no surprise to me at all since the democrats are hypocrites and have double standards. They can do it but if republicans do the same, they cry foul. They really don’t have any stand for anything and go where the wind blows. Very sad.

Obama is a fraud, and his wife needs therapy, she has an inferiority complex. They both are racists. What more do we need to know? We don’t have time to find out right now. NOBAMA 08

by the way, I usually don’t post on blogs but Palin’s speech excited me so much I had to read if others are sharing my excitement. I’m glad to see that I’m not alone. Woohoo! I think McCain is an honorable guy, no doubt about it, but it was a little tough to get excited about him even though I know he’s the right choice. I’m glad he picked Palin. I’ve never been this excited about candidates before.

OK, so I am actually drawn to Sarah much like most white middle aged men are. That’s not why I want her to win. I think she needs to lose about 15 pounds for me to want to “know” her better

You can tell how good of a choice Sarah is by the impact on the libs and their media wing.
They are going CRAZY.
The hate, downright lies along with their hypocracy is fantastic and I believe most clear thinking Americans will shun this abhorant behavior.
Kudos to John McCain for his choice.

I am a life long republican and a neuro-surgeon who also runs an investment bank in the far east when I am not engaged in
quantum nano-structure genetic experimentation . I cannot possibly support a completely inexperienced untested woman,
especially one too dumb to realize that raising children is a full time job. Her speech was pathetic .
Where were the ums and ahs that a gifted speaker like Obama is able to use freely ?
Moreover she is not a lawyer, hasnt graduated’from harvard and her husband works with his hands !!
People like this are not supposed to hold elected office in this great democracy .
She wouldnt know a great chablis is it was poured in her lap. I am DISGUSTED !!!

Obamabots? Obammy? Obamanuts? Blobama?
Any more derogatory, racially slurred names you republicans can come up with?
Let’s face it; Calling names is NOT going to help here. The writing is clearly on the wall for all to see.
These emotional, immature outbursts by republicans willing to disrespect the opposition is by far the best indicator that republicans know they’ve lost already.
The real pain must be that they did not lose to a formidable foe like Hillary, but to that skinny little black guy.
Poor babies. We feel sorry for all of you. More importantly, we are sorry you have to be our neighbor. We are grateful knowing that Obama will change America
Cheers,

Sarah Palin could have used her spotlight to do so much more. She could have shown everyone why she was the best candidate for the job; instead she tore down the job that community organizers do, and I might add she use to be on a community organization -the PTA. She could have explained what she really brings to the table instead she took a swipe at Michelle Obama. Over and over again we have heard the “Good ole boys”, mantra so nothing new there. At one point I thought she was going to start in with McCain, McCain he’s our man…..Yeah, Sarah but can you?
Posted by: Angela | September 4, 2008, 7:02 pm 7:02 pm
Community organizers go door to door asking for us to vote for their candidate, they stay way past the time they are expected to leave to make sure their candidate is heard. Community organizers sit on the PTA and LSC to make sure that their children are getting the best possible education. They fight for the those who have not been provided for, they are the red cross, united way, save the children, Martin Luther King Jr. Ben Franklin…Just thought I let you know

The Democratic party put the “Mute” button on Michelle Obama’s career to make her look like just another sweet supportive wife, mom, daughter and sister. I don’t remember hearing a word about her top position in a hospital that according to news stories is refusing or dumping patients whose insurance benefits run out.
Ironically, it is the Republican party who demonstrated today’s feminism. You CAN have it all, and supportive husband is an asset. The Republican Party “turned up the volume” on Cindy, Sarah, and even McCain Mom, Roberta’s, accomplishments.
That wonderful breath of fresh air in St. Paul took the wind right out of the Obamessiah’s sails.

I for one loved the speech, having voted for Palin TWICE(primary and general election in Alaska) I could not have been more proud of someone who is truly like me, AN ALASKAN who can hunt, fish and probably owns a blue trap and a roll of Duct tape. She can relate to middle america, we all need someone who has no ties to Washington, and will not bow to pressure when she does get there.
I will be proud to vote McCain/Palin in November.
Posted by: jason | September 5, 2008, 2:03 am 2:03 am
No one in their right mind would vote for someone like Obama that bases his experience as CEO in running a campaign he started last 18 months ago… Fact is 18 months ago Palin and McCain have already gotten their experience previously in making changes and making decisions being the true agent of change while this smooth talker lyer I mean lawyer starts his campaign to do what? To get experience in management? RIDICULOUS CLOWN. Obama the Clown thinks we Americans are fools!!! O=0 zerobama ZERO ZERO ZERO!!! zero experience means zero votes. This will be a land slide a McCain Palin win.

McCain and Palin: Typical Republicans. Drown in their own personal gains via politics. The only way they know how to campaign is by blaming and making people afraid of those who won’t agree with them. Yet, I still haven’t heard anything productive from their mouths. If you’ve got no plan, just shut the heck up. We are so tired of the same old politicians.

HOW REFRESHING……..to finally have someone on a Presidential/VP ticket that actually reflects the average American.
By the way THIS DEMOCRAT was thoroughly disgusted with all the Obama Supporters sexist attacks on Gov. Palin.
it was like we were in the Hillary/Obama battle all over again.
I was so disgusted that this Democrat is now going to vote for a Republican President for the first time in my life.

Ridiculous. If McCain is elected we will be the laughingstock of the world as his administration continues to squander our soldiers and our national treasure. If he dies in office we’ll have someone with a BA in Journalism who thinks global warming is a myth and that evolution is a conspiracy? Wow, that is scary. Yelling sexism doesn’t work on a world stage folks and as it’s apparent that she’s mentally challenged that’s all this person has. If not, let’s hear her talk about something besides her family and her guns. Right now I hear the dog barking, but that’s it. We don’t need another cowboy and his dog in office, we need a statesman and a capable vice president.

Todd: McCain/Palin did tell you their plans. You were so focused on the negative (which is probably normal) you missed the message. A Hero and A Heroine are going to Washington. They are going to change the way things are done. Cut spending, cut taxes, eliminate earmarks, blow the whistle on corruption and let hard working people do what they need to do to make a quality living. Get government out of the way so businesses can create jobs and the economy can grow.
Listening to McCain last night and Sarah Palin on Wednesday, stirs up wonderful feeling of being part of a patriotic American once again, the America that I knew when I was young. When movies showed the America that defeated evil in the world, when people were proud to wave the flag like they did at the Olympics this summer but would do it everyday. I’m glad to hear from Americans who love their country, think it is a great country and want to make it better. That is John McCain and Sarah Palin.
The New Republican Party is a wonderful improvement over those who think America is bad and want to tear it down. Those socialist liberals type who think freedoms should be replaced with government controls. Responsibility should be replaced with dependency. The only people who could get mad at Sarah Palin’s speech would be those Americans who hate freedom and responsibility. Those who call truth “hate speech”, those who get horribly upset when real Americans like Palin challenge them and bring them out into the light.
This is the greatest country in the world. That is why so many people want to come here. My wife is an immigrant. She came from the other side of the world to be here. She loves this country and she loves Sarah Palin too.

Who thinks Todd Palin would survive Washington, DC?
This is an outdoorsman. A champion snowmobile racer. A hunter. A fisherman.
I can’t imagine him in D.C. attending receptions.
We know Cindy McCain fled from D.C. back to Arizona shortly after her husband’s first election. She hasn’t lived in D.C. since. Perhaps the “First Dude” would follow her example and stay in Alaska. At least most of the time.

I am a Canadian, and I’ve been watching this DNC/RNC drama closely. I started to write a huge, reference-backed response to all of this….but I simply gave up…
I am APALLED by the ease at which people are affected by the over-produced, mind-bendingly obvious attempts at swaying the vote.
I, as well as my fellow Canadians, am affected by the results of your coming election and I hope and pray that ALL of you weigh the issues (and qualifications of the candidates) CAREFULLY.
Patriotism and sacrifice, although certainly noble are NOT the only assets that make a good President…and moose hunting?…even Canadians wouldn’t think THAT was a consideration (lol).
If in fact the Republican slogan is “America First”, then concentrate your efforts AT HOME FOR A CHANGE and STOP belittling Barack Obama for his involvement in “Community Organization”. If you stand for your slogan and believe that it is the most appropriate for your party, then you MUST agree with the Democrats.
“Charity begins at home”. Fix your own home and be surprised by how quickly you can reunite your fractured population.

first of all….
A TRIBUTE TO CINDY McCAIN?!!!!!!
OK, down to business:
“Huckabee/Palin would of made a great ticket” – do you really think America’s favorite Evangelical would make such a callous choice for VP??? reall?
“She did not focus on one issue that matters to American’s” – in her defense she did need to start from ZERO and introduce herself, sort of. Too much to talk about, who wants to spend their first appearance on a national platform talking about boring stuff?
“She puts Barack and Obama in a very pale light” – As a speaker or because he does not wear lipstick?
“Most talk is that she hit a grand slam with her speech” oh you mean like Peggy Noonan & Mike Murphy, but the opposite of what they really think and on the air. Right?
“Suddenly, Michelle Obama has been shoved to the back of the stage and this “breath of fresh air” has taken the spotlight” – Michelle Obama isn’t running for office; it’s her husband.
“I think she is a great speaker and carried herself very well last night” – I specially liked how she bashed on Community Leaders everywhere! those idiots! SO MUCH TACT!
“Hey, why don’t you guys start making fun of the little kid with Downs Syndrome, too” – I’m sure when Gvnr Palin sees the need for more media & pandemonium, she will throw him to the lions just like she did her daughter.
Posted by: GIGI | September 5, 2008, 5:58 pm 5:58 pm
“she’s smart, charming, poised and honest.” – SO IS NATALIE PORTMAN, WHAT’S YOUR POINT?
“In today’s high divorce ratio world, how many of us could claim that we’ve been with the same guy for 2 decades?” – According to the National Center for Health Statistics, 33% of the married population – 2,230,000 – reaches their 25th year (consider also becoming a widow)
“He can’t help his own brother double his yearly income(only 24 dollars)” AND THAT BRINGS US TO FOREIGN AFFAIRS. THANKS! – What does Wikipedia say about Africa? hmmmm…
“If you’re a loyal Democrat, you’re going to look for any mistep the Republicans make and jump on it like it’s the end of the world. Folks on the Right do the same thing” OH you mean LIKE KARL ROVE DID? PRAISING PALIN FOR THE VERY THING HE SHUNNED TIM KAINE?
“You are such an idiot, Sarah was brilliant. Makes Hillary look like an old made” – I URGE YOU TO REFRAIN FROM BRINGING UP THE WORD ‘OLD’ BEING AS MCCAIN WOULD BE OUR OLDEST PRESIDENT. TO DATE.
“he [Obama] makes GWB look like Abe Lincoln” – I’M LEAVING THIS ONE ALONE.
“BEING A COMMUNITY ORGANIZER IS NOT A TRAINING GROUND FOR THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT.” – being mayor of a city with 9,000.00 people is.
“How sad and shameful [of Republicans here]. No moral fiber or content.” – AND TO THINK ONLY FOUR YEARS AGO THEY WERE ALL ANTI-FLIP FLOPIN’
“Some of our most effective leaders have not been members of MENSA or had graduate degrees from Ivy League schoools” – MENSA IS ONLY 62 YEARS OLD… WE’VE ONLY HAD 10 OUT OF 43 PRESIDENTS SINCE THEN. I AGREE IF YOU SPEAK OF TRUMAN. BUT STILL, EVEN GWB (according to Aubrey Immelman of the Times) has an above average IQ at around 115 to 124.
“I’m an Army vet and a member of the local VFW and vote and I won’t be voting alone. Keep denegrating working class rural types at your political peril” DO YOU THINK IT’S TRUE THAT CINDY MCCAIN’S BANANA OUTFIT COST OVER 600,000????
“It is almost like befriending a serial killer who murdered years ago but has a charming disposition. Sorry, the dirt doesn’t fall far from the bag” – IF YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT GWB SENIOR BEING FRIENDS WITH KING FAHD, I THINK IT IS UNFAIR TO MAKE HIS SON, GWB, PAY FOR IT.
“…it’s no surprise to me at all since the democrats are hypocrites and have double standards. They can do it but if republicans do the same, they cry foul” – so, you’re saying republicans are being hypocrites and have double standards? THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THAAAAANK YOU!! FINALLY SOME REPENTANCE, GIVE THIS MAN A MEDAL!
“think McCain is an honorable guy, no doubt about it, but it was a little tough to get excited about him even though I know he’s the right choice” – EXCELLENT COMMENT!
“God they are just gonna implode after November.
I can’t wait.” – UM, WE’RE ALL AMERICAN HERE… OR YOU’RE SAYING IF MCCAIN WINS WE’RE SCREWED? IS THAT WHAT YOU’RE SAYING?
“Has anyone EVER heard the Obama’s chant USA?” – HOLD ON LET ME CHECK ON WIKIPEDIA…

It is my understanding that this dumb, snotty little twit “slammed” Michelle Obama during this luncheon. She implied that Mrs. Obama has something to hide. This is after, of course, Michelle’s visit to The View in which she was kind to all. Then, this uppidity stupid ass moron talks about her in this manner. She constantly wears her rose colored glasses when it comes to the Republican party. If she is speaking at this luncheon for her “god” Cinday McCain then I fail to see the need in insulting Mrs. Obama. She is no different than that nazi hood rat, Ann Coulter. I hope she is fired from the show after this. It was completely pointless and just shows her immaturity and just how fake this dumb broad really is. Talk about hypocritical! Hypocrite has been the main word used to describe Sarah Palin. Cindy McCain, is just the old man’s spouse, perhaps not much to indulge in regards to her or her past…who knows. What goes around comes around. Every time she demeans Obama or some other Democrat, something always comes out about a Rep that is not exactly favorable. Not saying anyone is above insults. I mean, I am doing now in the heat of anger. I am hoping Barack does NOT win the election. Let this mess of a legacy Bush leaves behind be for the Reps to clean up. I could not stand her politically, but thought of her as a pretty nice person regardless. Now, after this, I have lost all respect for her. She has gone to far this time. SMH. Showing desparation…much?

ABC News has turned into the Pravda vehicle for the Democratic party. This thread is populated by people who have lost their ability to think critically and have dined on Democratic talking points ad nauseam. Leave them alone. Let them drown in their own ignorance. Palin does not speak for me. She is crude and has no class. The Republican’s are shielding her from interviews because she is an idiot with a big mouth. She is declared off limits for anyone to sya anything negative about her because she is a woman…sorry…you chose politics, we didn’t choose you! You have kids taking care of your disabled child and a pregnant daughter on stage with a boyfriend who was flown in by the politacal party to be in photo shots. This kid had a myspace page talking about how he didn’t want to be married or have kids and next thing you know it’s pulled and h will be set up for life if he agrees to marry the girl and do what the party wants.Palin is going to be our worst nightmare if she gets in office. She is offensive and will cause wars and race riots by her mouth alone!!!!

Mrs. Obama described herself in her posed photo for Vanity Fair magazine as ‘Camelot with a Golden Tan’. How presumptious to even dream that she could even breathe the same air as Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy.

Funny how every presentation of Barack Obama shows him staying very far from true contact with the “little people” there to see him….bad reports of his unwilligness (or is it fear) to get close and personal with the troops there…maybe he has a phobia of germs?OCD? That or he’s above all these “little people” like you and me? And you gullible’s think he really gives a crap about you and your plight
Posted by: CaptChuck | September 22, 2008, 9:15 am 9:15 am
I like you comment Steve…..funny thing is that there has been presented exactly ZERO confirmation of Obama’s Community involvement he speaks so frequently of….what are the organizations names? Exactly what did he accomplish in Chicago? Who benefitted? can we see them on camera? You would think that if it truly existed, if he truly did all this, then the campaign organizers would have these people that he propped up, gave a new beginning, front and center?? Would’nt you? NOW WHERE ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE THAT OBAMA CLAIMS THAT HE HELPED?????????????????????????????????? IF you can’t verify it…its just lip service…which is the same lip service that he promises with his “CHANGE” idea…he ain;t changing Washington…he can’t do anything in Washington without the vote of Congress…and those dusty old creeps, who have been sucking off of the “American politics” fruit tree for 30 + years…(O’BIDEN) are not about to change whats been working SO WELL for THEM!! Bottom line, OBAMA is out for OBAMA…….if you believe differently then you probabnly think youre going to win the lotto too…a fool and his money are soon seperated…much like a fool and his vote!!
