Staffers’ Blackberries Confiscated as the Tough Negotiations Begin at Congress
Staffers for the principal negotiators of the Wall Street bailout bill were asked to turn over their BlackBerries Saturday afternoon so as to prevent leaks, as members of Congress and the Bush administration rolled up their sleeves to try to hammer out a compromise bill. The BlackBerries, with Post-It notes identifying their owners, vibrated away in a small trash can, and later were spread out on a table for later retrieval, as their owners tried to help their bosses resolve the legislative logjam in one of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s offices on the second floor of the U.S. Capitol building. House Republicans, who had not been meaningfully involved in the process until Thursday, when they announced they would not vote for the compromise bill first proposed by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, sent a high-ranking member of their leadership, Minority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo., who arrived to the negotiations carrying a tall cup of coffee. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., projected confidence before the meeting, saying, "It would be my hope that this could be resolved today, that we had a day for the American people and members of Congress to review the legislation on the Internet, that we could bring something to the floor possibly Sunday night or Monday morning." House Ways and Means chairman Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y., currently the subject of an Ethics Committee investigation into whether he skirted taxes, made a surprise showing, joining Blunt, House Financial Services Committee chairman Barney Frank, D-Mass., Senate Banking Committee chairman Chris Dodd, D-Conn., and the ranking Republican on the Senate Budget Committee, Judd Gregg, R-N.H. Republicans, who had wanted a five-person meeting with Blunt, Frank, Gregg, Dodd and Paulson, also saw the table fill with other Democrats inserting themselves into the process, including House Caucus chair Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill., Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., Sen. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., and Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I. House Republicans have been pushing for the U.S. government to provide insurance for the troubled assets threatening so many financial firms, as an alternative to the U.S. government purchasing them. But today the GOPers also started hammering away on other provisions in the bill. Rep. Adam Putnam, R-Fla., said his GOP colleagues want to make sure the bill "results in effective intervention, that impacts not only Manhattan island but all of Main Street communities across this country. We want to make sure not only is it effective for the taxpayer but it is a clean bill that does not have special interest demands attached to it, simply because it appears to be the last train leaving the Congress for this month.”

First of all, Nancy has her bill, if she’d just grow a pair and take responsibility for it. If she wants GOP votes, then ACORN and co. must come out of the bill. NON-NEGOTIABLE!
And, if they want to tout this as bi-partisan, they might want to think about equal representation at these pow-wows. Just sayin’.

The media, the MSM but also many bloggers, are passing on the false impression that House Repbulicans want to help “Main Street.” In reality their plan is designed to get what they’ve wanted all along – legislation for less regulation and more cuts in capital gains for corporations. Nothing for “main street” except what trickles down and corporations would pay even less tax. Don’t be fooled by this plan. Once again Republicans playing political games.

We let a private bank, called the Federal reserve, become another branch of government, contrary to the constitution. They print 700 billion out of thin air and we think ain’t that wonderful! Now we’re back to normal. We listen to all the honorable politicians saying see….we saved the day! The hell creeps up over time! We the people have to pay interest back to the Federal reserve for money they never had to begin with. It’s win win for the Fed!!! Country goes down without a bail out…banks take the property. Country get the bailout…Federal reserve gets the interest for nothing. The thing your congressman will fail to tell you is that because they printed that 700 billion your dollar will very shortly be worth 50% what it’s worth now. Struggling to pay your mortgage? 4.00 a gallon painful? 2.00 high for a loaf of bread? Get ready for hell! Let it crash and recover naturally. Let the stupid banks take the loss! Belle Star,
Read the Declaration of Independence and it will tell you what to do…..first suffer, suffer some more, suffer again, then make revolt. We are suffering now. We still have a very failed sense of congress but they are pouring salt in our wounds…both parties! They are both in bed with the money. We all love our country! We first need to suffer!
Thomas Jefferson, Letter to the Secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallatin (1802)
3rd president of US (1743 – 1826)
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.

It is unfortunate that aside from the jabs from both sides there was no real insight from any of the two candidates about how they are going to go about to solve this crisis. I was really disappointed in the debate because of this fact and wish they tackled real solutions rather than just trying to outdo one another. We need an immediate solution to this bailout

What happened to the portion of the bailout going to ACORN to set up a low income housing program? I think we need housing assistance, but payments from the bailout should go to reduce the national debt.

Let the mortgagees participate in the so-called “free market” for mortgage assets. I would be happy to pay twice the $8k that Morgan Chase just paid for my $235k mortgage.
That would fix everything, fairly (which of course means that it won’t happen in this country).
Our politicians will pass a bill to fix a deservedly collapsing financial system and our home values will continue their slide, our financial system will continue to offer our mortgages at fire sale prices to everyone in the world except us, and we will be stuck with the usual gargantuan bill. That is America.

The problem is….if the democrat’s and the republican’s let the economy really go through the natural down cycle then they will lose their jobs, their power, their money. People will hurt, badly. But that’s life. Happy, sad, gain, loss, birth, death…the wave goes up and down naturally. The neat thing is that these people who disrepect us for the privilege of power will then be….just like us. Except disgraced.
I find comfort in that!

No one bailed out the telecoms when they went under – also from lack of financial oversight. How baout bailing out the poor people who had their money in Enron? No one bailed them out. Why are the democrats suddenly so interested in investors – and unwilling to tell us who they are.

As a voter it is very frustrating to see that once again our elected officials are going against our needs, wishes, desires and requirements. Stand up and represent the American people. This Bailout is the largest in the history of our country and deserves the time and energy of all involved to review and understand it completely and in detail.
Paulson and Bernanke declared the United States financial system would self destruct if they did not get the $700 Billion by Monday September 22. Well they did not get it and we did NOT self destruct. You must realize that they do not know what they are doing, whether it will work or make things worst. In these circumstances such poorly planned actions are destined to failure.
“If they were taking their plan to a venture capital firm to seek funding, they would be laughed out of the office. Their proposal is sketchy, with no financial projections included. Their qualifications for running the business are unimpressive-neither Bernanke nor Paulson has a background in mortgage default modeling.” (1)
Take the time to do a good and complete analysis. Do not PANIC. Do NOT approve this Wall Street Bailout!

If you don’t get anything out of this blog, just remember one thing and repeat it everytime you hear the word Federal Reserve in the news…especially in the next few days.
The federal reserve is a group of “Private banks”. They are hidden in a mask that says…I’m the government! Search it on the web if you don’t believe me. Then read Jefferon’s quote. This current day situation is like “The Prophecy of Thomas Jefferson”

Since Bush has been in office, our debt has increased by an average of $500 billion a year. This bailout plan represents more than doubling our single year debt increase. While the sky is not falling and the ‘bailout’ will do little good for most middle class Americans, it WILL cause the U.S. dollar to devalue and inflation to skyrocket. Had Bush followed the economic policy of Clinton when he took office, this would not be such a bad thing. But his instance to implement trickle-down policies, exactly like McCain wants to do, is what really makes this whole mess a disaster.

Considering the relative numbers of individuals involved, the greatest good for the greatest number might be achieved best by the resignation of a hefty proportion of the Congress, including the faint-hearted Senator Obama.

Sally, I agree with you in some ways….I normally would say, when all fails, support the second amendment, but, it’s to the point where the country could cease to exist. At least with any resemblence to what we’ve known for 70 years. When that happens, the Russian, the Chinese, and whomever will move across the globe like a pit bull on crack. Sucking up countries. How about 10 cold wars at once? Prime example…the russians know we are crashing financially. They move into Georgia and basically spit at us. You want to free Georgia? We dare the americans to help! Now, we don’t have to go to war at a whim but we need to be secure enough to have the russians say…maybe we better not mess with them. It may be time to vote for anyone but the two parties. They have not been kind to anyone challenging the status quo. It wouldn’t be bad if they actually did something different but they haven’t. You can say, the democrat’s what to push this bail out through…guess what! There are a lot of Republicans that want it too! We will name names after the smoke has cleared! Whomever is pushing this thing through is burying america! If it’s the Democrat’s then damn them. If it’s the republican’s then damn them!

If this package is pushed through by the Democrats, no matter what, and the taxpayers are left paying for the abuses of the Wall Street fat cats, every single one of these idiots that vote for the package should be voted out of office.
Our votes are the only power we have against those who abuse political power.
It’s amazing that the Democrats gained control of the house just two short years ago because of the Iraq War. It’s like we’ve traded one monster for another.
The billions that won’t be sent to Iraq once the troops start being withdrawn, will now be spent bailing out Wall Street.
Still not one penny to Main Street.
It’s amazing to me that the Republicans in the House seem to be the only ones who are trying to make sure the taxpayers don’t end up paying for this Bush/Democratic plan.
How dare Pelosi stand up there and blame the House Republicans for not participating in the talks sooner than they did and hold her press conference calling them UNPATRIOTIC. Some Speaker of the House she has turned out to be.

Who here lives near a harbor? Or any large body of water? I say that we organize a massive ‘Tea Party’ to protest taxation without representation. The taxpayers of this country have got to get the point across that we do not want a bailout package that does not spell out exactly, in laymen’s terms, what is and is not included. Alongside each provision should be the name and party of the person who supports that provision. I want to know who exactly voted on what and who wanted each pork piece put in.
If we are expected to foot the bill then we should be able to see the breakdown BEFORE it is voted upon.

You may be right. I don’t think yet….but let’s see how much more they can make us suffer.
I say, why are both parties shutting us out? We will pay the bill yet they’ve gone secret? How dare them!!! Take away the blackberries so no one can leak their secret deals! How dare them!
Do you know the congress had a secret meeting in march of this year? It was the second time in the history of our country. This may be the third. The leak from the march meeting said there would be a collaspe of the stock market in September. They supposedly talked about where they would run when the people came looking for revenge. Who they would lock up in Fema camps, the people who could be a threat to them. Also, oh yea, the kicker, the total collaspe of the federal government in the first quarter of next year. Look it up…it’s on the internet. Now, it sounded crazy when I got the email in march…does it sound crazy now?
They’ve locked us out of our government! This is boardering on something beyond illegal!

A free market wants to make sure that it can keep making money even long term. When the government gets involved for political purposes, it wrecks everything. When they get their fingers into providing people who don’t need loans those same loans, they screw it up. When Government gets their fingers in regulating trades “because they know better”, they force everyone to relearn how to behave since we haven’t been regulation free for nearly 75 years. The Depression was interestingly happening because the government got involved in the US economy heavily in WWII and everyone had to relearn how run businesses again. Now, we have to learn again. We CAN do it. We just need to learn how to run businesses again and learn those REALLY painful lessons. When we do it, then we can get our debt to foreigners under control and run our country in a way that addresses energy, defense, and the environment together.

Obama looked like a school teacher trying to recite the Declaration of Independence. I was waiting to see if he was going to repeat the 57 states gaffe once again. His presentation made him look like a guy giving a marketing speech in which he didn’t like to product he was selling. He might be eloquent gestures on stage, but he appears to be a very angry speaker and not very statesman like. I thought McCain could have been more forceful on a few topics, but at least John McCain stopped his campaign to try to offer a solution. Folks, leaders lead. If Obama is a leader, why would he say things like, “Call me if you need me.” Give me a break, you’re an elected official, do something, don’t just talk about it. Enough said.

Why would House Republicans say this is urgent to bail out these companies, then say they should pay insurance?
If the companies can’t pay their debt, how are they going to pay insurance?
Think sounds like something straight out of the Godfather.
Guess it shouldn’t surprise me that the same people voted for every Bush budget that got us into this mess.
If this is as bad as everyone with inside information says, get ready for runs on banks Monday morning. Think about it, when the biggest mouths in America (Washington politicians) won’t say anything it’s a sure sign that things are far, far worse than any of us think.

The dollar had started to strengthen. Now it will decline again. When it does oil prices will rise again helping our enemies. Thus oil must be denominated in a “currency basket” soon. Interest rates fall with stimulus, China goes into recession, there is a peasant revolt, due to no sales to US. The deficit swoons, and services are cut, crime increases with tougher penalties. Food riots happen. Iraq concludes due to lack of funds and shias win along with Iran, who dominate the region and take their oil. The US continues economic decline until it oulaws carbon based fuels in 2020, and then it so poor, manufacturing begins again with low wages, but money comes back in as the US exports and rebuilds again. Medicaid ends, and national health services are rationed. Expensive social programs end, and free trade ends. The world is curved, and we realize America should be on a hill. The dollar is rebacked by a basket of commodities, including solar power production, and becomes strong again, and merges with Canada Mexico and Central America like the Euro. California Republic declares independence, Vermont joins Canada, Texas secedes, along with Florida in 2025.

Furthermore, Obama was very quick to put out a plan that included ways of preventing this from happening again and making sure the people who screwed us don’t get to profit from it. Yet another fascinating fabrication from Obama, the anointed one. Remember the speech that Obama gave in October, 2002?
The one that never got reported in any of the Chicago newpapers? Well, here is a transcript of Obama discussing his superior judgment with the editorial board of the Des Moines Register:
“The speech that I delivered in 2002 wasn’t just me getting up and yelling, “I’m against the war.”
It was a very clear, specific outline of what I anticipated would happen if we went into war and why we shouldn’t do it. And it stands up pretty well … [it] was based on sound judgment….
Some of it was probably also my lawyer’s training.
I watched pretty carefully the presentation made by Colin Powell at the United Nations.
As a lawyer, you’re trained to poke holes in somebody’s case … it didn’t look particularly strong to me.
END TRANSCRIPT
Wow, that’s pretty impressive. Just one problem: Colin Powell’s speech was in February, 2003. How on earth did Obama see it in 2002? Well, we do know he’s a transformational candidate. Maybe he’s psychic.

Did anyone else heard why the economic meeting held this week when into a complete meltdown. It was because of Obama inability to chair the meeting. The democratic leaders had Obama chair the meeting so they can come with a statement saying that Obama took charge and show strong leadership in the economic meeting with the President. Unfortunately, it did not go as planned. It was said that Obama started the meeting confused, using wrong facts, and not able to get his words out. All attendees were promised not to say anything about what happen in the meeting. It you noticed no one from the democratic party that attended the meeting mentioned any things about Obama’s performance, chairing the meeting. If Obama had performance well, you better believe the party would have shared it with the media.
Another of the reasons Obama did not want to attend the economic meeting, he did not want to be contacted with the bailout plan because it favor some of his old partners at ACORN which is under federal investigation. This information was undercover in the economic meeting, which upset most the republican leaders that attended. The bailout will allow 20% of the profit to be given to the group ACORN that Obama was once a lawyer for two years and work for. If the old bailout planned (with McCain forcing Obama to attend) had passed and once the people find out about the money going to ACORN and people learned of Obama associated with ACORN, then Obama could had said “I did not know about it being in the bailout plan and I was not part of those meeting that agreed with it.

He may not be the only culprit, but he is the primary culprit. The Republicans did bad but the Democrats did worse. I expect power to shift back to Republicans, if they are able to block this bailout. Listen to the Thaddeus McCotter speech on the bailout.

McHooverville, actually it was over regulation–and lack of Congressional oversight–that caused this mess.
An article by the Investor’s Business Daily (posted Sept 15, 2008) explains it very well. Here is an excerpt.
“But it was the Clinton administration, obsessed with multiculturalism, that dictated where mortgage lenders could lend, and originally helped create the market for the high-risk subprime loans now infecting like a retrovirus the balance sheets of many of Wall Street’s most revered institutions.
“Tough new regulations forced lenders into high-risk areas where they had no choice but to lower lending standards to make the loans that sound business practices had previously guarded against making. It was either that or face stiff government penalties.”
In addition organizations like ACORN (who may reap huge benefits from the proposed $700 billion rescue package) pushed to have the banks lower their lending standards so that low to middle income families could purchase homes that they could not afford.
Government interference inhibits the free market’s ability to correct itself. The housing market downturn should have been a very simple correction. Especially if homeowners had taken fixed mortgage rates, because then the banks could not have raised the interest rates and doubled or even tripled the mortgage payments which resulted in hundreds of thousands of foreclosures. Home prices got too high, causing a pause in the buying of homes. As soon as the prices dropped enough, buyers would jump back on board–as they are right now. BUT instead, the millions of individuals who want to buy a home and are now ready to jump back into the market, find there are no loans to be had.

Its a lie we all know or sould know that fox news is republican and they will say ANYTHING at this point to smear the dems and why not Bush has been lieing to you for the past 8 years and you have just now all started waking up to it. Secondly the bailout bill was sent to congress by the white house i.e. Bush the republican. It got congress and it had NO OVERSITE AND NO TAXPAYER PROTECTION AND OUTRAGOUS PAYOUTS TO THE EXECS THAT RAN THERE COMPANIES INTO THE GROUND. To me people these are things that NEED to be changed. And the dems are trying to change those things and the republicans are dead set against it. So now you say well the dems are in control of congress right they can simply out vote them. Well yes and no. They could out vote them and send it to the white house where bush has PROMICED TO VETO IT IF THERE ARE THESES CHANGES TO PROTECT THE TAX PAYERS AND REGULATE EXEC PAYOUTS. Why would he do this you ask? Because he is on the way out and only cares on helping those rich folks out so they will remember him when hes out of office. The american people already hate him and they arent going to give him anything so why should he be worried about them at this point. So he vetos the bill it goes back but guess what? Even though the dems are in control THEY ONLY HAVE A 51% MAJORITY!!! THEY CANT OVERRIDE A VETO THAT TAKES A 2/3RDS!!! WHICH THEY CANT GET WITHOUT THE REPUBLICANS THAT DONT SUPPORT THEM SO THE BILL IS DEAD AND EVERYONE THINKS ITS BECAUSE OF THE DEMS THEY HAVE THE MAJORITY THEY MUST HAVE STOPED IT. When in fact they only have 51% so sence we have a republican president they cant do anything in reality the republicans can shut them down and make it look like its there fault. And you people are so stupid you allow fox news to side track you with lies so you dont see how congress and the power of a republican veto works.

In a time of financial crisis you can always depend on the dems to figure out away to make the middle class pay for their special projects. Whay are Barney Frank & Chris Dodd in any meetings. What keen insight are these to going to have? They both have repeatedly told us that Frannie & Freddie are fine? Where is the accountability? None because Pelosi & Reid are out their speading lies to further decieve the public?

Remember how the Patriot Act was passed. Nobody read it. It had to be passed quickly before Congress adjourned. THey passed it, didn’t know what was in it and its now the law of the land and the public suffers the consequences. THat too was a Bush plan, passed by a Democrat majority without any oversight from the American people. Will we know whats in this plan before its voted on? Not if they can help it. I know we’ve got to do something but it better not be a give-away to the corrupt companies, CEO’s and politicians who rely on the donations of these companies.
Yea, I could have bought a house but knew I could not afford it and didn’t. The people who did should not be rewarded for being stupid and greedy. I know alot of people who bought homes thinking they were gonna be ATM machines. Everyday, I would hear people brag about what their house was worth although they had no equity in it. THey then bought new cars, charged up their credit cards and spent wildly on the idea they were making a fortune on a home that’s value was artificially inflated.

“The democratic leaders had Obama chair the meeting so they can come with a statement saying that Obama took charge and show strong leadership in the economic meeting with the President. Unfortunately, it did not go as planned. It was said that Obama started the meeting confused, using wrong facts, and not able to get his words out.”

Getsmart, ACORN has a history of voter fraud, embezzlement and misuses of taxpayer funds. Here is a quote from the Wall Street Journal just prior to the 2006 election:
“So, less than a week before the midterm elections, four workers from Acorn, the liberal activist group that has registered millions of voters, have been indicted by a federal grand jury for submitting false voter registration forms to the Kansas City, Missouri, election board…. We wish this were an aberration, but allegations of fraud have tainted Acorn voter drives across the country. Acorn workers have been convicted in Wisconsin and Colorado, and investigations are still under way in Ohio, Tennessee and Pennsylvania.”
ACORN is still in the business of registering mass numbers of voters all across the country. And based on the earlier reports the Democrats want ACORN to reap huge benefits from any profits that may occur from this $700 billion rescue package. And guess what? Sen. Obama has a long history with ACORN. He used to work with ACORN as a community organizer. And he used to train ACORN’s Chicago members in leadership seminars. Sen. Obama was once ACORN’s legal council. And Sen. Obama also sat on the boards of Woods Fund and Joyce Foundation that poured money into ACORN. I wonder how much of Sen. Obama’s $900 million worth of earmarks went to ACORN?

Apparently, the family of the dead soldier whose name Obama wears on a bracelet (a name he had trouble remembering during the debate) told him to stop wearing the bracelet because they didn’t want to draw any more attention to themselves.
Speaking on a Wisconsin Public Radio show a few months ago, Brian Jopek, father of Ryan Jopek who lost his life to a roadside bomb in 2006, said his wife was surprised that Obama was still wearing the bracelet even after the family told him to take it off but didn’t want to make a big deal of it because she supported his candidacy.
A transcript courtesy of Newsbusters:
Brian Jopek: Because of some of the negative feedback she’s gotten on the Internet, you know Internet blogs, you know people accusing her of… or accusing Obama of trying to get votes doing it… and that sort of thing.
Radio Host Moberg: Yeah
Jopek: She has turned down any subsequent interviews with the media because she just didn’t want it to get turned into something that it wasn’t. She had told me in an email that she had asked, actually asked Mr. Obama to not wear the bracelet any more at any of his public appearances. Which I don’t think he’s…
Moberg: It has been a while since he’s brought it up.
Jopek: Right. But, the other night I was watching the news and he was on, uh, speaking somewhere and he was still wearing it on his right wrist. I could see it on his right wrist. So, that’s his own choice. I mean that’s something Barack Obama, that’s a choice that he continues to wear it despite Tracy asking him not to… Because she is a Barack Obama supporter and she didn’t want to do anything to sabotage his campaign, so, if he’s still wearing the bracelet then, uh, that of course is entirely up to him.

The Congressional Democrat bailout that was prematurely announced before McCain arrived on the scene was set to give 20% of any taxpayer profit and “donating” it to ACORN, La Raza, and the Urban League, all left wing “organizations”. La Raza even supports Mexico’s reconquest of the American southwest.
You are damn right I’m glad Sen. McCain went to DC to stop this anti-American piece of garbage the Democrats tried to pass off to the American people.
McCain lead, and Obama wasn’t even smart enough to follow. He was ordered back by the President. Please don’t try to say that anyone told a 25+ year Senator to keep quiet. He was a fresh set of eyes on the scene and taking in a situation; like a TRUE leader.

I don’t think Obama cares about the troops, the middle-class, or our country.
He cares about making history, turning America into another wimpy country like France, and pushing his radical ideals.
He’ll make Wright, Frank Davis, William Ayers so proud, at our expense.

God or fate may have a bigger plan for BHO.
If he loses Obama will just becomes more of a martyr. People will continue to worship him and ignore the truth.
But if he wins–the media, and the people will not have Bush, McCain,Palin,Republicans as a scapegoat to blame for all the world’s problems.
The blame will all go to Obama,Pelosi, Reid and the Democrats.
As BO breaks promises the media will quickly turn on him. The world will see him for the fraud he really is.

If Obama wins he will be lucky to get through one year in office without getting impeached.
He has given millions in earmarks to those who helped his campaign, he has wasted millions and millions on projects that either failed or never even started.
The Attorney General in Chicago is investigating a $100,000 plywood Gazebo that BO funded–money went other places.
So Hillary may get to run in 2012 afterall.

How dare the house and senate conservative republicans hold up assistance to the main street taxpayers with their stalling tactics on shaping a bailout. Once again they don’t take responsibilty for their own actions or lack therof.
Are they concerned this will dry up the largesse of lobbyist and special interest money they so depend on?

On voting rights, ACORN and its voter mobilization subsidiary, Project Vote, have been involved nationwide in efforts to grant felons the vote and lobbied heavily for the Motor Voter Act of 1993, a law allowing people to register at motor vehicle departments, schools, libraries and other public places. That law had been sought by Cloward and Piven since the early1980s and they were present, standing behind President Clinton at the signing ceremony.
ACORN’s voter rights tactics follow the Cloward-Piven Strategy:
* 1. Register as many Democrat voters as possible, legal or otherwise and help them vote, multiple times if possible.
* 2. Overwhelm the system with fraudulent registrations using multiple entries of the same name, names of deceased, random names from the phone book, even contrived names.
* 3. Make the system difficult to police by lobbying for minimal identification standards.
In this effort, ACORN sets up registration sites all over the country and has been frequently cited for turning in fraudulent registrations, as well as destroying republican applications. In the 2004-2006 election cycles alone, ACORN was accused of widespread voter fraud in 12 states. It may have swung the election for one state governor.

Obama aided ACORN as their lead attorney in a successful suit he brought against the Illinois state government to implement the Motor Voter law there. The law had been resisted by Republican Governor Jim Edgars, who feared the law was an opening to widespread vote fraud.
His fears were warranted as the Motor Voter law has since been cited as a major opportunity for vote fraud, especially for illegal immigrants, even terrorists. According to the Wall Street Journal: “After 9/11, the Justice Department found that eight of the 19 hijackers were registered to vote…”

We all know BHO was Fannie and Freddie’s biggest cheerleader. Even his supporters know it, they are just to enthralled with the Chosen One to admit this.
I have to say that I like the way these boards are full of McCain supporters now. A few months ago it was all BHO all the time, kinda like MSNBC, CNN, CBS, and (I’ll probably get censored for this) ABC. I wonder when McCain/Palin will get a softball interview outside of Fox News? BHO should be on the record enough on he issues of 1. how he is feeling, and 2. how much he loves his family. I’d like some tough questions, outside of Fox mind you, about Ayers, ACORN, his spiritual mentor choice, his $100,000 taxpayer funded, plywood gazebo, etc…
With McCain the media asks real, presidential questions.
With Obama the media asks generalities.

i’ll keep it civil. since it is plain that this is a forum for upset Hillery followers, that the GOP does not have the well being of the “little people” the 90% of Americans who work, pay taxes, and live day to day. here in Georgia, a GOP state, our Governor Sonny Purdue is in Europe and THERE IS NO GAS IN THE METRO ATLANTA AREA! our gas pumps are covered with plastic bags, and when you do find a gas with fuel there is a 45 min to one hour wait in a line to get no more than $20.00 of gas at a time. if you can honestly tell me you’re doing better now than you were eight years ago, then yeah vote for McCain. but if you’re like most people I know, and i work for an engineering firm here in Atlanta, then i know how i’ll be voting in November.

If it was not for McCain going to DC, we would not have known anything about OBAMA’S PARTNER ACORN RECEIVENG 20% OF THE TAXPAYER PROFIT FROM THE FIRST BAILOUT BILL. The democratic party was trying to push the first bailout without us looking. They were exposed by McCain.

Do Not Pass This Bailout Bill! I don’t know how much clearer the majority of Americans can be! There must be something D.C. is not telling the American people that makes this so dire.
You are only putting off the inevitable by signing this bill. Until the behavior of the materialistic greedy people that got us into this mess changes this will only prolong their behavior or worse validate it.
You must take a strong stand and not passthis bill!
Wait, wait, wait, and see that this will be tough but not lethal.
Posted by: OMG Dontdoit | September 28, 2008, 6:03 pm 6:03 pm
Many economists have written to the political elitists in Washington to tell them this bailout will not work no matter how you slice and dice the thing!
Why won’t it work because the 2 trillion in bailout money is only 4% of the ponzi schemes minimum amount that has been siphoned off the top. The derivatives market is at least a 50 trillion dollar loss waiting to unfold.
Next year after Bush leaves office the
Bank for International Settlements will audit the Federal Reserve even congress cannot audit this elitist private bank.
Remember the first bailouts and other big spending by the Federal Reserve; they had only somewhere around
800 billion at the beginning and could be downgraded to junk or be declared insolvent. That is the reason for the unlimited and unconstitutional call for the original draft of the bailout without strings so the Elitists (Nancy Pelosi, Paulson and friends) could retrieve their money losses without Enron criminalizing of the situation.
Why are the Democrats so willing to risk
being defeated in this election with a total defiance of the American Public that like congresses disapproval ratings disapprove of this bill?
“I don’t make jokes, I just watch the government and report the facts.” (Will Rogers)

Why are we looking to the idiots in Congress who got us into this mess in the hopes they can ‘save us’? When they had the chance to do something in 2004, they were too busy protecting their friends at Fannie and Freddie.

Another find mess brought to us by the Government. If we had a truly free market, with truly free banking irrational, unwieldy loans would be given out much less often and the system would not crash. Indeed, with a free market the wealth and prosperity of Americans would increase dramatically. Freedom works. Freedom means eliminating all regulations. I blame the democrats most, but both parties deserve blame here.
