Where does Biden say his chopper was shot down? I think the point this VP is making is that he’s been to the central front on the war on terror: the Pakistan-Afghanistan border (as opposed to McCain’s references to the non-existent Iraqi-Afghani border). If this is the best Republicans can come up with to discredit Joe, then they might as well concede now. Compared to Palin’s whoppers, this is laughable: 1) First thanks, then no thanks to the bridge to nowhere–but thanks for the cash!; 2) Claiming the natural gas pipeline as an accomplishment without mentioning that the pipeline may never be built due to ongoing land disputes that her administration failed to resolve; 3) Her claim that heading the AK National Guard gave her commander in chief credentials, when in fact she has delegated all decision making to Maj. General Craig Campbell; 4) claiming foreign policy experience by virtue of “protecting US airspace” from the rearing head of Putin:
To me, this is analogous to Palin’s E-Bay statement, which I thought was no big deal…she put the plane on E-bay (true, but it didn’t sell), Biden’s helicopter was forced down (but by a snowstorm). Let’s stick to the issues of experience and ideas for getting the nation out of the mess we’re in.

Biden was not joking when he told his story.
Biden was trying to emphasize that our real enemies are in Afghanistan and not in Iraq.
Hmm! Joe knows were the bad guys are cause his helicopter was forced down by problems with visibility in a snowstorm.

It looks like Biden and Obama can say anything they want true or not. The believers merely swallow everything.
Biden didn’t lie about being in a helicopter that was forced down in Afghanistan.
Biden just implied that hostile fire forced the bird down. He never mentioned that a snow storm was the reason. He just wanted to make people believe he saw the enemy and they were the cause of the “forced” landing….Biden said in context that The bad guys are in Afghanistan. He knows first hand because of his helo going down.

Senator Biden tried to embellish what happened during his VP helo flight.
He was on helo to avoid problems on the ground. The aircraft was forced to land due to weather.
No hostile fire was involved. Biden told the story so it sounded like he was shot at and forced down by enemy fire.
Biden is a story teller who lives in a fantasy world. He still can see FDR on TV telling America about the crash of 1929.
Hmm!

A bill favored by the Bush Administration was introduced in 2005 that would have created a more regulation and oversight of Fannie and Freddie. The Democrats managed to kill it.
