The second skit was the funnier of the two. She looked in the beginning like someone told to go on the show even though she didn’t want to. I think her instincts were correct – she only brings more attention to SNL and the only thing she helped is their ratings.

I didn’t find it funny at all — especially the gunshots at the moose; where was the helicopter Sarah Palin shoots moose from?
I hope McCain/Palin didn’t really think that skit was an attempt to get younger voters. All it did was SHOW the young voters how lame they both are.

Great for Palin and SNL! He Common Sense is this the same Colin Powell that 8 years ago the African American and Liberals wer calling an “Uncle Tom”? Funny when somebody who 8 years ago you all hated because he did not share your view you considered him a “Uncle Tom”, and now that he is supporting your side he is the greatest thing ever! I am sure Powell’s endorsment will help sure up the African American vote for Obama’s Black From 98% to 98.5.

Black is white, up is down, etc. She was great and you can’t take it!! Ha Ha!
The crappy part was Brolin’s monologue. Gee, making fun of George Bush…how cool and brave!!!
What are you suckers going to bitch about when he’s gone and the Messiah is President? Where will all your vicious hate go?

It is anticipated that Powell endorsed Obama. They are both black americans. the good thing with the black community is they are 99% solid in supporting their own race regardles of their own personal beliefs. The bad thing with whitesis they are not united now. If Americans wants to go liberal socialism, then go for it. After all, Americans like to gamble, as proven when they are vacationing at Monaco and Caribbean islands.
Posted by: Angelo | October 19, 2008, 9:53 am 9:53 am
Why there are a lot of negative comments against Sarah Palin? Are these because of jealousy and insecurity for reason that she is a sucessful governor who got 85% approval rating? I personally believe that these negative blogs are coming from left wing democrats and independents whe were blinded by Obama’s rhetoric words. Hey, guys, there is nothing to worry about. Obama will surely win this election because 99% of the blacks are for Obama because of his skin. White voters are not anymore united because 50% are already blinded and wants to embrace socialism after all. Somehow, americans will have to taste their own medicine if Obama cannot deliver to his promises in four years>> 70% of the working middle class americans will have to end up working overseas in the Middle East and Iran.

Wow! Your assumptions about race are so… not surprising. I’ve never heard anyone, let alone, African Americans, refer to Colin Powell as an Uncle Tom. Where do you get this crap? Oh, never mind. Keep scaring all the non-racist republicans out of the republican party with your drivel.

It was a weird thing to see Palin sitting, dancing to the music, while they mocked her.
And using a press conference for the first skit just brought up the fact that Palin hasn’t done one yet.
Did Palin approve of this before she did it? I don’t think it hurt her but it didn’t help her.

We, Americans, are very funny and becoming very unbecoming and this is the reason why rest of the world like Iran is laughing at us and do not respect USA anymore. Please see below points:
1. Americans wants to embrace socialism while China, although controlled by communists, is now moving towards capitalism.
2. There are too many rights and freedom in USA and for this reason, a lot of left wing arabs and terrorists want to live and exploit this great country. China and Russia do not tolerate terrorism at all, and for this reason that left wing arabs and terrorists do not want to live there because they cannot do what they suppose to do.

What is the big scare about socialism I hear? It isn’t Stalin totalitarianism communism that crushes freedom. After decades of giving corporate free reigns to make things right and time after time to see them just serve themselves and take away everyday freedoms like health care for everone, maybe it is time to see a government take care of the people who are in need. Socialism = social, ie the people. I don’t care what labels people use, but what I care about is saving our country and the people that have been led astray by jinglism and scare tactics. And SNL is spot on with their Palin breakdown.
Everytime someone states that African-American’s are voting for Obama because he is Black just shows how racist people are. I do not mind racist people I would prefer they be honest about their feelings at least I know where they stand.
First of all African-Americans generally vote Democratic anyway so the only way to prove this race theory Republicans are coming up with is to have a Black Republican nominee and see if they go against their political beliefs to vote for a Black person.
Obama ran against Alan Keyes in the Senate race in Illinois and it was not even close it wasn’t like Black people were sitting back saying Oh no two people that look like me what do I do.
People who believe this theory just show they think Blacks are not capable of knowing the issues. I have followed both campaigns closely. I am one of those people that like to understand both sides of an issue. Upon doing so I am voting for Obama not because he is Black because I think he will serve the entire country’s best interest.
Lastly there have been way more incidents of people NOT voting for Obama because he is Black and voting for McCain against their best interst(Joe the 42,000.00 a year plumber)because McCain looks like them. So please who are the real bigots not Black people.
I have 2 questions. What is so bad about being liberal? Repubs throw it around as if it is supposed to be a deragatory term. Also is throwing around the word socialist supposed to scare people. I am tired of hearing it everyone knows our system is not set up to be a true socialist nation. Maybe they don’t they probably just got that term from Fox News. Most people using it think it is a synonym for terrorist.
I would have liked to see Gov. Palin and Fey stand next to each other for more than the two seconds while passing.
Palin is great. Lefty libs very afraid of the excitement she generates with the majority of Republicans.
Powell’s endorsement is meaningless to most white America…..we get it, it’s a skin color thing.
McCain has the endorsement of FOUR EX SECRETARIES OF STATE…..THAT TRUMPS OBAMA’S ONE AFRICAN AMERICAN.
SNL should have Palin again next Saturday night, as I’m sure these were their highest ratings yet.
HILLARY SUPPORTER FOR McCAIN.
I think a funnier skit would’ve been if they started out with Lorne Michaels and Tina Fey – with her saying she didn’t have time to do Palin this week. Michaels would’ve then started trying out other cast members (including 30 Rock actors Baldwin and Tracy Morgan) before Palin eventually comes in the casting line. He would then have rejected her “impression” as being too obvious.
I’m going to listen to the lyrics of that rap again…
What was really amazing about SNL was the fact that
Amy Poehler was jumping around with so much energy this late in her pregnancy. Both my husband and I thought the show to be hysterical due to the fact that they really got their digs in and Palin did not seem to realize it. I think people tuned in to see the show, much like you have to look when passing an accident on the highway. We did appreciate the levity. Now we are counting the days till we can cast our votes for Obama. We are white and we are voting for the person we see as the “Best” for the future of this country. Peace and Prosperity to all.

Hilarious SNL last night! Palin managed to utter a couple of lines without making herself look like a complete idiot -so that was a nice change. Amy Poehler was hysterical and the rap was too freakin’ funny. Did Palin even get it? Oh well, she couldn’t boost McCain’s campaign, at least she was able to boost SNL’s ratings. As for the people bashing Colin Powell’s endorsement, you obviously didn’t watch the actual interview on Meet the Press. Powell was very respectful toward McCain and went down a list of issues and reasons that lead to his choice of Obama as the candidate best equipped to lead America at this time. It was a thoughtful and intelligent choice by a respected man who has served his country for over 40 years. You don’t have to hate one candidate to see that the other is better for our country. Obama will win handily in November and hopefully this nation will begin to heal. It will be interesting to watch the behavior of the people that screamed “unpatriotic” at citizens who didn’t support Bush. The same people who say you are unpatriotic if you don’t support your nation’s leader may well have to reevaluate that stance when their candidate loses.
Palin is a skit on late night t.v. nothing more.
I’m sure if McCain wins he will be invited up for some Moose hunting. He better hope she is a better shot than Cheney, then again, he probably better hope she isn’t.
