Back on the Trail, Biden Blasts McCain, Palin

ABC News’ Matt Jaffe Reports: After a 10 day hiatus from the campaign trail due to debate prep and the death of his mother-in-law, Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden was raring to go Wednesday in Florida, ripping the McCain/Palin ticket for their debate performances, campaign tactics, and stances on issues from the economy to taxes to climate change.

With the hometown Tampa Bay Rays advancing to the American League Championship Series this week, the Delaware senator declared to a 3,500-strong crowd at the University of South Florida that, were the debates a best-of-five games baseball playoff battle, this series would be over.

"Last week I had a debate – at least I think it was a debate with Governor Palin," Biden quipped as the audience roared. "And last night Barack had his second debate with John McCain. Now, I realize I’m slightly prejudiced about our ticket, but if this was a best of five series, it’d be over. It’d be done."

Biden cited last night’s town-hall presidential debate in Nashville as evidence that voters are looking for "an optimist…not an angry man".

"The questions and the people in that town hall last night, I believe, personally believe reflected what a majority of the American people are looking for. A steady hand. Leadership. An optimist. Not an angry man lurching from one position to another. They’re looking for answers," Biden said, continuing to highlight what he felt the opposing ticket didn’t say.

"You didn’t hear a single question about the ugly inferences and the unbecoming personal attacks launched by the McCain campaign on Barack Obama. You didn’t hear one single average person ask that," Biden said. "Barack Obama showed again last night that he understands, he understands that these debates aren’t about Gov. Palin and me, they aren’t about Barack Obama and John McCain, these debates, this election is about you, not us."

Biden declared that the Republican ticket chose "fear" tactics over "intellectual" options, that they are taking "the low road to the highest office in the land."

"There’s one other option, the one they have chosen is to appeal to fear with a veiled question. Who is the real Barack Obama? Ladies and gentlemen, to have a vice presidential candidate raise the most outrageous inferences, the ones that John McCain’s campaign is condoning, is simply wrong."

"When those guys start saying the things I just read to you, you know they’re going to try to take the low road, take the low road to the highest office in the land. And that’s exactly what they’re doing."

"I guess when you vote with George W. Bush 90% of the time, your best hope is to attack your opponent 100% of the time," Biden said. "Folks, don’t be distracted, those attacks don’t hurt Barack Obama or me, they hurt you. Every single false charge and baseless accusation is an attempt to get you to stop paying attention to what’s going on in this country. Beyond the attacks, what is John McCain really offering?"

Biden borrowed a line from fellow Scranton-native Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., to illustrate his point.

"You can’t call yourself a maverick when all you’ve ever been is a sidekick. That’s why you’re seeing John McCain’s campaign become so erratic, relying on political stunts instead of offering real solutions."

On a day that began with a coordinated global interest rate cut to address the international economic downturn, Biden said that McCain had had an "epiphany" that stemmed more from political desperation than a change in policy.

"Did he realize that this economic crisis is the final verdict on a failed economic philosophy of cutting regulation, of blind-folding the over-seers to let Wall Street do whatever it wants?" Biden asked. "I don’t think he got it….The problem with John’s epiphany is not that he saw the light – he saw the presidency slipping from his grasp, that’s what he saw."

When he wasn’t accusing the Republican ticket of attempting to distract voters from the issues, Biden was simply arguing that McCain and Palin are wrong in their approaches to dealing with them, citing climate change and taxes as prime examples.

"You can’t change our approach to global warming if you think, as my opponent says, you’re not quite sure of the cause," he said, hitting out at Palin’s debate comments on climate change before turning to taxes.

"When Sarah Palin said Joe Biden thinks it’s patriotic to pay taxes, let me tell you what Joe Biden thinks, Joe Biden thinks it’s unpatriotic to support allowing $100 billion in unpaid taxes to be taken offshore! That’s what I think!”

I see the Democrats taking the issues to the Republicans. I see the Republicans taking distractions to the voters. I see Obama climbing in the polls each day, Gallup: Obama 52 to McCain 41.

Exactly what has Biden and Obama voted against Bush on? Certainly not spending. Netiher did anything to rein in the mortgage mess caused fannie and freddie and neither are calling for any of their cohorts heads to roll in this debackle. Why is this? Could it be that both Biden and Obama has taken the bulk of these institutions political lobbying money? Obama claims he does not like lobbyist yet that was his job as a community activist; to lobby for money for his per projects in his neighborhood, money he helped glean from the taxpayers willfully shared with both Rezco and Ayres.
Change? I don’t think so!

McCain wants to occupy Iraq for 100 years and go into Iran. Obama wants to reinvade Afghanistan and reinact Russia’s “Vietnam”. Both canidates support the carbon tax, which is what plants breathe, oh well. And wants you to pay a percentage of your income for having the misfortune of merely existing. Say nothing of their private jets, caravans, and enviromental destruction through depleted uranuim that has decimated Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Kosovo. And would rather you be forced to eat low priced GMO food, while driving up the price of non-contaminated food. Both supported the “bailout for billionaires” while your retirement funds evaporated thanks to their corporate donors malfesance. And Obama wants to send more of your money to the UN in the guise of the “Global Poverty Act”, while people are living in their cars and in tent cities in public parks RIGHT HERE! No, I’m sorry. I can NOT in good conscience cast a vote that won’t be counted anyways for either of these two pawns in the game. The President is the packaging, the package itself (the policies) NEVER change!

She won’t discuss her comments during interviews because she knows her soundbites will make it to the news programs and the internet. She dosen’t have to be held accountable for her remarks. I think all news programs should stop showing her speeches at rallies, and really just omit her completely from the news. Why should they(we) accomodate her, when she disrepects us by ignoring our questions.

Biden backs a dangerous man, Obama. We are grateful to Palin for having the courage to mention Obama’s dangerous links. People in the United States are being manipulated to put a Marxist in power, just like people in Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador.
Ecuadorians were fooled into believing that the young and charismatic candidate Rafael Correa, with no experience, would bring CHANGE and help the poor. CHANGE and YES WE CAN were Correa’s slogans.
The CHANGE has been towards Marxism and greater poverty. When Marxists say YES WE CAN, they mean they can lie and take over.

With the ugly tone being taken by the over-the-top groupies of Sarah Palin I think the Secret Service needs to step up their protection of the next president of the United States, Barack Obama.
Palin tosses out dangerous bromides and her audience yells back barbs like “kill him”. Then they turn racist by yelling at an African-American network sound man, taunting him “sit down boy.”
Then last night, McCain used the thinly veiled “That one” referring to Senator Obama.
Palin and McCain are showing their true “colors”.

Listening to Sen. Joe Biden’s inside Washington meanderings, I’ve come to realize that his world view is no different than his hair. The Dems were right in kicking him off the stage on 3 different occasions. Poor Joe…good guy, though-

With 8 years of GOP leading by a lame duck President and oil-sucker Chenyplus the current economic crisis; every one would think Dem.President candidate has a landslide in poll. It is true if the candidate looks ordinary like previous candidates – white skin – however this candidate skin is different, therefore he leads only few points. American, racism and discrimation are still around but in a denial stage. After the debate, CNN David Gergen predicted quote “Obama won’t win because he is black”
Sad.

As a canadian after this whole world wide crisis I was interested to see what your candidates had to say. I by no means am a political genious, I am just an average person but I have to say that of the two, I was more impressed with Obama. McCain reminds me of a slightly more intelligent Bush. I caught mostly the questions dealing with energy. McCain says that nuclear power is the way to go, that it’s clean and efficient and safe. Does he not know about Chernobyl? And his other solution is to drill off shore, This may be an expensive temporary fix but eventually the whole world will end up in the same oil crisis that we are in now. I don’t want to pass on this problem to my children. Obama promotes soalr, wind and geo-thermal enrgy. All are completely safe and last time I checked sunlight and wind were free. McCain keeps saying that Obama is inexperienced but to me McCain’s ideas all seem stale and well, regurgitated. Just my opinion. If I could vote, it would be for Obama

Does Gang Violence Qualify as Terrorism?
Gov. Palin has been warning us of the danger of electing a President who “Pals around with terrorists…”
I would ask Gov. Palin how she feels about the military recruiting policies which John McCain has actively supported since 2003, and who her son may be forced to pal around with as a consequence. She might want to consider the experience of another Mom with a son in our military, Stephanie Cockrell, as reported by CBS News:
(CBS) U.S. Army Sgt. Juwan Johnson got a hero’s welcome while home on leave in June of 2004.
“Not only did I love my son – but my god – I liked the man he was becoming,” his mother, Stephanie Cockrell, remembers.
But that trip home was the last time his family saw him alive. When Johnson died, he wasn’t in a war zone, he was in Germany.
“He had finished his term in Iraq,” his mother said. “I talked to him the day before his death. He said, ‘Mom, I’m in the process of discharging out. I’ll be out in two weeks’.”
On July 3, 2005, Sgt. Johnson went to a park not far from his base in Germany to be initiated into the ‘Gangster Disciples,’ a notorious Chicago-based street gang. He was beaten by eight other soldiers in a “jump-in” – an initiation rite common to many gangs.
“My son never spoke of joining a gang,” Cockrell told CBS News correspondent Thalia Assuras. Johnson died that night from his injuries. His son, Juwan Jr., was born five months later.
(link: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/07/28/eveningnews/main3107316.shtml?source=RSSattr=HOME_3107316)
Since 2003, the military has granted ‘moral waivers’ to over 125,000 enlistees. Those waivers have been, in most cases, for serious criminal activity, including significant numbers of convicted felons, many of them gang members. The FBI conducted an investigation into this subject, and here are highlights from it’s report:
– Gang-related activity in the US military is increasing and poses a threat to law enforcement officials and national security. Members of nearly every major street gang have been identified on both domestic and international military installations.
– Some gang members may also enlist to receive weapons, combat, and convoy support training; to obtain access to weapons and explosives; or as an alternative to incarceration. Such military training could ultimately result in more organized, sophisticated, and deadly gangs, as well as an increase in deadly assaults on law enforcement officers.
– Gang incidents involving active-duty personnel on or near US military bases nationwide include drive-by shootings, assaults, robberies, drug distribution, weapons violations, domestic disturbances, vandalism, extortion, and money laundering.
As I read this body of facts, I wonder about the scope of the damage which has been done to this country since 9/11 by our own ill-considered initiative in Iraq. If the larger goal was to deter terrorism, why are we providing combat training to thousands of gang members, and providing them access to our most sophisticated weaponry? Even more insidious, for any ordinary American contemplating enlisting in the military, the prospect of serving with comrades in arms who are also Crips, Bloods, or members of the ‘Gangster Disciples’ would, in my opinion, be reason enough to opt out, regardless of any other incentives there might be.
If Gov. Palin insists on continuing to warn us away from Senator Obama because of his casual association with Mr. Ayers, I think she owes us an explanation as to why we should support a candidate who’s policies over the last 5 years have materially increased the potency of domestic gangs to terrorize neighborhoods all over this country.

What I heard at one point is that Obama is willing to raise taxes on those over 250,000, which includes himself, finally a future president thinking of the American people and not himself. McCain said he did not want to raise taxes on anyone, and that no president since Hoover has raised taxes; no president has raised taxes on the rich is what I think he should have said, and of course he does not want his taxes raised because him and his wife are worth billions and heaven forbid the rich be taxed. I am now in that middle class and I have to say I am poorer today, than when I was considered poor by goverment standards. So go Obama! you have my vote and many others like me in the same boat. We need change, not another 4-8 years of Bush policies transfered. TAX the Rich, because appearently the only way middle America will ever see any money come back into their pockets; the middle class has been paying for decades, let the rich support us now.

Go ahead and trash talk McCain and Palin, my fellow Democrats. That won’t change the fact that our party made a huge mistake by failing to nominate Hillary Clinton. Now we have a nominee whose friends include a convicted felon (Rezko), an unrepentant SDS bomber (Ayers) and a black nationalist preacher (Wright). Perhaps Obama will win the election, but then be prepared for the most left-leaning president in our history. In four years, the American voters might elect President Palin.

Posted by: Graniteman | October 8, 2008, 4:03 pm 4:03 pm

America needs to make it clear that the bridge (to no where) is out. McCain and Palin won’t be allowed to take the low road to the highest office.
McCain tries to blame the economic crisis on a 1999 plan to help more people own their homes. But it wasn’t the original loans that got us into such a big mess. It was those stupid maneuvers of selling and reselling on betting on the failure or success of the oft resold loans that did this. The original loans totaled $5 trillion. The “Mess” created by the shenanigans of trying to get rich off the backs of people trying to own a home totaled——————$68 trillion worldwide. That’s what buried us. And that was allowed to happen because of deregulation.

Great post, GG. There’s definately an imbalance in our system that’s sucked all oppurtunity from the middle/lower income classes. Hope people don’t mind waiting until they’re 77 to retire.
I guess for McCain, tax breaks are only a ‘redistribution of wealth’ when they benefit the lower income brackets.

Graniteman, no one cares about Ayers or Wright. No one cares about the Keating 5. What voters do care about is the economy. We all just lived through 8 years of failed Supply Side economics. Nothing “trickled down” – jobs went overseas, unemployment soared, the Middle Class declined, and the gap between rich and poor grew. McCain proposes continuing these Bush era economic policies – Obama may be left leaning, but voters are willing to make a change – it’s time for a complete break from the Supply Side.

As an American woman, I’m embarrassed by Palin. She’s unqualified, undignified, and unconscionable.
When McCain chose her for vp, he lost my vote. I’m firmly for Obama/Biden now.

We’ve got to impose term limits on every incumbent running for Congress or the Senate in this election. They all deserve to be fired! We don’t need a constitutional amendment to do this, just vote against every incumbent running, Democrat or Republican. Fire every one of them. Doing this could very well force whomever is elected President to sit down with all the new faces and come up with real solutions to the serious problems we’re facing…and maybe even putting the long term interests of our nation first.

America is very lucky because you never ever didn’t know what it is Socialism and Communism. I’m from former Soviet Union. I don’t know more terrible, humiliation country, where only leader is right and smart, where doesn’t have any kind of freedom. Many things from Obama’s company remained me stile of former Soviet Union. But looks like we will know what that is Socialism. I am a white woman in her 50ʻs. I read about Palinʻs rally in Florida. For the first time in a long time, I cried because of the hate and fear that she tries to encourage crowds to feel about Obama. She spouts racist code words to incite crowds, such as, “He is not like us.” She had the crowd all worked up and screaming “terrorist” when she mentioned Obamaʻs name. “Terrorist” is a code word, it is certainly not a true characterization. A racist man in the crowd told a black sound man to “Sit down, boy.”
We have come so far in the past 40 years. My feeling has been that the people who are still racist were at least not encouraged to voice their racism by someone who is running for VP and, God help us, possibly President. The overall feeling has been that if a person was still harboring racist beliefs, the general public did not make them proud of it and certainly a potential President would not. This is her base, and she is base, very base. It sickened me, then made me so disgusted that I am going to do everything I can in the next 4 weeks to make absolutely sure that this woman comes no where near the Oval Office.

I think the Democrats are forgetting that their candidate, Hillary was the one that first brought up the subject of concern with Obama’s past and present friends, not the Republican’s,how quickly Joe forgets!
I think it is a shame that we can not move forward with this and get this over without all the negative and give us some real positive.
I would like to know how Obama plans on paying the 95% of Americans he keeps talking about that make below $250,000, how many of them do not pay taxes now? What would that % of people be if he subtracted those people?
I think there is enough insults from both parties to the American intelligence to go around.
No one is really going to be the winner but the same old people, the very rich and the very poor, the rest of us will keep paying thei way!

Sarah Palin better get on the subject of campaign fraud. A.C.O.R.N. has been accused in Nevada by their state govt. of registering all sort of voters who are not even living in Nevada; for heaven sakes, they even registered THE ENTIRE DALLAS COWBOY FOOTBALL TEAM AS ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN NEVADA!!!!! The Obama campaign has hired and pays these people who are street people, criminals, etc. to do this registration. The fraud has started; the lied from Obama started long ago. Obama will do anything to get elected; he’s proven this by changing his positions to suit the people who will vote. A year ago his platform was very radical but he’s changed what he is saying. He was mentored by communist Frank Marshall Davis and admitted in one of his books that he attended socialist conferences. Last evening he did not answer the question if elected would he militarily defend Israel if that could were attacked; he only talked about Iran. McCain said he would defend and not go to the U.S. since Russia & China has veto power.
This man Obama is very dangerous and it is unbelievable that he has so many, many U.S. voters fooled. Just like Hitler & the Germans…..look back in history.

Give ‘em Hell, Joe!
They are a couple of fear mongers. Palin has proven that her words incite the crowds to hatred, and she apparently doesn’t care or she would have said “Wait a minute down there! That’s enough of that sort of talk!! Security – get that person!”
When they can’t sell their brand of leadership they resort to character assassination and fear mongering, just like the ones who inspired people to the domestic terrorism of bombing abortion clinics, harrassing women who visit abortion clinics, and killing doctors who perform abortions! And these people claim to follow the Bible! they are pretty selective about what parts they follow!
What they really are is bullies who wrap themselves in the flag and claim it for themselves and hide their true character in patriotism and Bible verses!
So don’t let them claim this country for themselves, Joe! We’ve seen what they do with it when they get control and it ain’t pretty! We don’t want any more of it!
Once more the Democrats have to come along behind the Republicans and clean up their messes!

The voters have two clear choices:
1. Vote for Barack Hussein Obama if you want a socialist radical government, one that will mostly rule your lives. He’s been educated by the communist and radical Muslims; he was brainwashed by them and now he’s brainwashing the American citizens, especially the young who have not experienced life and who have not formed sound judgment.
2. Vote for John McCann, a middle of the road experienced with our country’s needs and who loves the United States. He might be 72, but that’s young. It only means that he has live through many different times and situations and has gained judgment. The whole world is going through an economic turmoil but that will be fixed, it will take a bit of time.
But becoming a socialist country will damage our nation much, much, much more that this financial crisis. Live Fee or Die!!!!!!!!! Don’t vote for Obama even if you don’t vote for McCann. Don’t you want your children and their children to live in a democratic nation?????

thats exactly right betty sue.they are hateful and dangerous no doubt. i can hear the hate in their racist posts and it reminds me how ugly most republicans are inside ,just like scrooge or someone like that. they almost dead inside because of all the hate and bigotry.
the republicans have always been largely corporate interest oriented (money/power ),even to the complete annihilation of the economy .
their core support consists mainly of womens rights hating , confederate flag waving ,gun toting, hood wearing ,cross burning , book burning , “moral majority” (haw!!)sycophants who can rarely think a single original thought or idea by themselves.
politically ,(and socially i have found as well) they are hateful ,intolerant and(as shown by the recent court decision forcing the bush administration to release chinese inmates held at guantanamo cuba for over 7 years ),they have a nasty predisposition to do whatever they want ,using taxpayer dollars (or who evers dollars, as long as its NOT their dollars…) to do so ,illegal or not.
the republican have proven to anyone who can think clearly that they are NOT fit to lead ,nor even be considered seriously anymore. they are dishonest ,blatantly and semi openly ,brash and cocky, incompetent and conniving and they have RUINED THIS COUNTRY!!
a vote for any “republican” is moronic, its just that simple. the upshot of this is that the republicans know how bad they are tarnished and are trying to figure out ways to fool the avg. voter ,like using blue color roadside election signs to appear non red = republican.
these slimebags will stoop as low as a snakes belly in a wagon rut to get/stay in the american political system. they are a cancer on the american landscape ,their banal and ill advised ideas and agenda are skewed and aligned for the rich and elite.
the truth is , the republican party should be abolished like the neo jim crows they ,in fact are.

There is already a “Obama Youth Movement” in Kansas City, similar to the Hitler Youth Movement. It was on video on the internet yesterday; young middle school black boys dressed in uniforms marching in a single line with their hands clutched together near their shoulders, all chanting Obama slogans. And Kenya detaining and not allowing the author who wrote an anti-Obama books to enter their country. Sound like East Germany under the communist? Obama will make an excellent dictator.

Thank the Good Lord they were wrong as Truman was the best we could have had to end WWII; he went in blind as FDR never gave him any information, and Truman did a great job. Truman would not be a Democrat today in this radical Democratic Party.

Better he do like McCain/Bush, and not even talk to people that don’t agree with your views. Look where that policy has gotten us.
And what about Leonore Annenberg, the wife of Ambassador William Annenberg, who is a major McCain campaign contributor? She headed up the organization that Obama and Ayers were board members of. I think McCain/Palin are being a bit selective in their “associations” they’re tying Obama to.
I would expect no less. They’re desperate and willing to do anything at this point.

i hate to say it{actually i dont}but the freaking media seems to be playing one side against the other{they did it in the dem primaries}they on the one hand float out questions on hot button topic to both sides and then adds “well your opponent said this how do you respond,or sen biden if he wants to win the debate cannt come off as if hes attacking sara palin or as if hes being condescending and then say biden has to slams palin and rough her up a bit on the issues if he wants to stop the pendulum swinging back to camp mccain. or”palin looks like a deer caught in the headlights when the question of name one supreme court blah.blah, blah wow the cuda really sunk her teeth into biden the hockey mom scored a couple of body blow to the grizzled ole veteran but most of her digs were centered on obama or one of my favorite “mccain is only going negative because hes desperate& hes got no new or fresh ideas” and then in the next breath say “if mccain wants to stay in this race hes got to start throwing mud or another one of my favorites “obama has to keep his cool and not sink to the low level that the mccain camp wants to take him otherwise he will seem just like every other politician and right after that say” if obama doesnt want to be swiftboated like kerry was hes got to hit back and hes got to hit back hard hes got to show that hes not afraid to get down balls to the wall dirty and mix it up with the mccain camp.this whole affair reminds me of some arms dealing countries who uses sleazy tactics to create discord on both sides not really being interested in who is right or wrong or what the aftermath or ramifications will be to those caught in the middle the only thing that matters is the profits, profits profits that can be made, and the medias response is the same controversies, and discord equals ratings ratings equals profits, profits, profit,I know there are those who would ask “brk dck is that why most people are turned off to most of the media types and turned on to the daily show, and the colbert report and to some extent S.N.L. to which i say you betcha because those shows put their spin on politics and make people laughs while the media create their spin on politics and people say DONT MAKE ME LAUGH

I’m an Independent voter and I’ve giving both parties significant consideration. Obama is not the answer to this financial crisis.
Does anyone have any idea what keeps the market up? Those wealthy individuals and large multi million corporations who buy stocks.
What do you think will happen when Obama is elected and the above mentioned sell off their stocks to avoid the increase in capital gains Obama is proposing?
“You betcha”, our retirement accounts are going to tank and e’ll have to work longer years until they recover.
In conclusion, we need the wealthy to have more $$ to invest. We will be better off in the end.

You’re right Joe
It was the Community Investment Act, signed by Clinton that allowed for laxed lending requirements allowing those who could not afford a home to buy one.
McCain brought up his concern in 2006, but was shot down by Congress and the Senate, controlled by Democrats.
You can keep pointing fingers at Bush…. I know there’s “Deranged Bush Syndrome” out there, and I personally do not care for him myself, as a Republican.
This mess, however, is a mess brought upon by the Democrats’ protection of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.

I am surprised that Sen. Biden calls VP Cheney “most dangerous VP”. VP Cheney is very “patriotic” putting USA interest first. He is dangerous only to the terrorists and the brutal dictators.
Gov. Palin is right to expose Obama.

Maybe you should try thinking for yourselves and stop letting Rush Limbaugh tell you how to think and feel everyday.
I guess I just don’t get how any of you can defend the last 8 years and eagerly want 4 more of it.
You should be taking your anger out on your own party for creating such bitterness over the past 8 years that our entire country is fleeing from your archaic, right wing views of yesteryear.

I am so happy that Biden is the VP candidate for this election. He is a down to earth kind of a guy. He is friendly and likeable. Good luck to you, Jo. You are a fine American.

Go Joe! We love you! How wonderful to see a cohesive team Obama and Biden! Both on the same page and focusing on the issues. He really does well in promoting Obama and the vision of a better, stronger, prosperous America. No erratic, negative smoke screens here and no BS. Now that’s change we all can believe in. Bless you Joe and Godspeed to your son who is serving our country my he return home safely to a better America that will care for you as with all our military.

I just have to say that remark that a poster said about Palin complaining (as she and McCain only seem to ever do instead of providing solutions) that her and McCain wouldn’t say one thing in one state and another thing in another state.
Ah, that’s all they do, take NY for example, while visiting the 911 site she played up to the media at ground zero, acting all with the people there and how empathetic she is and oh how she’s with them. Then she leaves town and spews doo doo about how NY is so elite and wall street and corruption and how city folks (here or there if their urban) are not American like her and her small town values.
What a crock of poop. I’ve never seen Biden or Obama pit one city, town, people, group against another unless it’s the corrupt Bush Administration and their groupies.

First, you are all ridiculous!
No matter what these 2 guys promise, don’t promise, say, deny, or forget to say, nothing happens without Congress approving it right? All people ever really want is change, and they are fooled for awhile that it is better, till they wise up at least, then we change again. We need to get some intelligent folk in Washington, someone that can acutally communicate/educate the public on what really goes on so we can vote intelligently. Bills that are passed should not be more than 2 pages long, since obviously anything after page 2 is usually pork, and if the Bill has any real positive substance it shouldn’t take weeks to get it passed now, should it? Too many cooks in the kitchen if you ask me. We don’t need change, we need an overhaul! Set your priorities, National Security has got to be number one, and I would rather trust someone that puts our great country first.
