Biden Blasts McCain for Obama/Bush comparison
ABC News’ Matt Jaffe Reports: Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden Thursday night opened his outdoor evening rally at Raleigh’s Meredith College – "site of the best mascot name in all of college sports": the Avenging Angels – by laughing off the latest attack from Republican candidate John McCain.
"Just today, John McCain tried to compare Barack Obama to George Bush," said the Delaware senator as the crowd of 7000 booed. "No really, I mean, you know, talk about the willing suspension of disbelief!"
Earlier Thursday, in response to reports that 478,000 Americans claimed unemployment benefits this week, McCain said in a statement that "Barack Obama’s only answer is to double-down on the Bush administration’s legacy of out-of-control spending."
" I mean, pretty soon he’s gonna be calling me Dick Cheney," Biden continued to loud applause. "And that wouldn’t be good! Look, well lemme tell ya, at least I know what the vice-president does!"
While this comment initially seemed to be a dig at McCain’s running mate Sarah Palin’s comment earlier this week in Colorado that the vice-president is "in charge" of the Senate, Biden was apparently referring to Cheney, instead.
"Not with Dick Cheney," he noted. "Not with vice-president Cheney said he’s not a part of either branch or something like that! I don’t know! Look, folks, and we are not in an undisclosed location!"
Moments later, Biden hit out at Wall Street executives raking in million-dollar bonuses despite the current economic crisis.
"Did you see what’s going on tonight on Wall Street, this so-called recovery package?" Biden asked the Tobacco Road audience. "Guess what? They’re finding out now that a lot of these guys are giving themselves million-dollar bonuses. It’s obscene. It’s obscene."
"I want to remind all Americans of what we’ve overcome in the past and what Barack Obama will do," Biden concluded. "He will not appeal to your avenging angels. He’ll appeal to your better angels and unite this country! That’s why, that’s why I am so certain Barack Obama will be a great president of the United States of America."

Twice last weekend, Biden grimly warned at closed-door meetings that a great crisis is coming early in the term of President Obama:
“Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. … Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said … we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
A “generated crisis”? By whom? Moscow? Beijing? Tehran?
This is an astonishing statement from the CHAIRMAN of the Foreign Relations Committee who has access to the same intelligence as President Bush. Was Joe warning of a crisis like the Berlin Wall of July 1961, where JFK called for a tripling of the draft and ordered a call-up of reserves, or the missile crisis where U.S. pilots like John McCain were minutes away from bombing nuclear missile sites in Cuba and killing the Russians manning them?
Is Russia about to move on the Crimea? Is Israel about to launch air strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites? What is Joe talking about?
If one assumes Joe is a serious man, we have a right to know.
Instead, what we got was Obama’s airy dismissal of Joe’s words as a “rhetorical flourish” and a media – rather than demanding that Joe hold a press conference – acting as Obama surrogates parroting the talking points that Joe was just saying that new presidents always face tests.
Had John McCain made that hair-raising statement, he would have been accused of fear mongering about a new 9/11. The media would have run with the story rather than have smothered it.
Has anyone ever asked Joe about his own and his party’s role in cutting off aid to South Vietnam, leading to the greatest strategic defeat in U.S. history and the Cambodian HOLOCAUST? Has anyone ever asked Joe about the role he and his party played in working to block Reagan’s deployment of Pershing missiles in Europe, and SDI, which Gorbachev concedes BROKE the Soviets and WON the Cold War?
Is Joe’s record of having been wrong on Vietnam, wrong in the Cold War, and wrong on the Surge, less important than whether Sarah Palin tried to get fired a rogue-cop brother-in-law who Tasered her 10-year-old nephew to “teach him a lesson”?

Marxists for Obama

June: DeLay: ‘Unless Obama Proves Me Wrong, He Is a Marxist’
October: Marxists/Socialists/Communists for Obama
Turns out the actual communists who vote in this country deny that he really does represent their views, but they still argue that he’s the best candidate for their cause based on Marxist teachings. Then whoever wrote this (quite oddly) claimed they aren’t Marxists….sounds like Obama fits right in with this crowd. And, since this appears on Obama’s official website, I take it he is quite comfortable publicly courting the commie vote.
Barack Obama is the single most liberal person to have ever received the nomination of the Democrat Party, and if voters don’t quickly realize just how dangerous his political beliefs will be for our country, we will soon find out the hard way.

And he is just repeating what others have said about Biden’s true motives. Maybe you should be reporting Biden to the SS. Some of you Obama supporters are scary people.
What will you do if as Biden predicted Obama’s numbers fall in the polls after he makes some “unpopular decisions”? Will you stand behind him and use your influence in your communities?

McCain’s campaign is all about Bush. He has hired all the Bush campaign operatives, and he is using Bush’s campaign game plan, which he fervently railed against in 2000. But it is okay for him to use the same dirty tactics because he is putting “country first”. If you buy that, I have a bridge in Alaska to sell you. All those who are screaming epithets such as “socialist” and “marxist” are throwing stones from glass houses, and in McCain’s case we are talking 7. McCain cannot possibly think the public is stupid enough to buy that all of a sudden he and Palin are the champion of the middle class. His wife wears a 200,000 dress to the convention and Palin is bouncing around in 150,000 dollars worth of duds. Spare me the false outrage. John McCain wants to extend Bush’s tax cuts to the wealthy, which is a category he can safely count himself, and eight years has proven that those tax cuts have widened the gap. The rich have gotten richer and the poor (and middle class) have gotten poorer. Trickle down has failed. So let’s be honest, John, and admit that you are just another Bush and Palin is frighteningly like Cheney (only worse because Cheney is smarter) Unfortunately they both are overly confident and willing to abuse any power they are given.

The only way America will get back on the right track is by electing the McCain/Palin ticket. After all, it was the Democrats who brought on this economic crises so says most economic gurus. Just because Obama says it is the republicans does not make it so. It was the Democrats, minorities and support groups wanting the sub-prime morgages for those who could not otherwise afford homes. Obama’s tax plans will hurt small businesses and people who actually hire new workers and create jobs.

On McCains web site, he states “The last 8 years haven’t been so good” in an effort to claim he will bring change. How? He wants to make the Bush tax cuts permanent, and even make more cuts. His energy policy mirrors that of Bush, as does his foreign policy stance. Apparently, the only ‘change’ he wants is the the name on the door to the Presidents office. His tax plan is dismal, as is his health plan that would make Americans worse off than the are now and both favor the wealthy. He claims he is about ‘straight talk’, but look at what he says about social security:
“John McCain supports supplementing the current Social Security system with personal accounts – but not as a substitute for addressing benefit promises that cannot be kept. John McCain will reach across the aisle to address these challenges, but if the Democrats do not act, he will. No problem is in more need of honesty than the looming financial challenges of entitlement programs”.
Straight talk? Sorry John, it isn’t working this go round.. time to retire and put it all behind you.

It Is TRUE
House Democrats Contemplate Abolishing 401(k) Tax Breaks
Powerful House Democrats are eyeing proposals to overhaul the nation’s $3 trillion 401(k) system, including the elimination of most of the $80 billion in annual tax breaks that 401(k) investors receive.
Time to be more patriotic, you rich selfish buggers, and start spreading YOUR wealth.
http://www.workforce.com/section/00/article/25/83/58.php
Powerful House Democrats are eyeing proposals to overhaul the nation’s $3 trillion 401(k) system, including the ELIMINATION of most of the $80 billion in annual tax breaks that 401(k) investors receive.
House Education and Labor Committee Chairman George Miller, D-California, and Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Washington, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee’s Subcommittee on Income Security and Family Support, are looking at redirecting those tax breaks to a new system of guaranteed retirement accounts to which all workers would be obliged to contribute.
Hmm …. “a system of guaranteed retirement accounts to which all workers would be obliged to contribute.” That sounds very, very familiar, doesn’t it? Don’t we already do this with Social Security?
That means your employer can no longer write off their contributions to your 401(k), and your capital gains would be TAXABLE year-on-year. In other words, it becomes just another investment or savings account, with no tax benefit at all, and no employer contribution. Instead, Uncle Sam would give you your “matching” funds — up to a whopping $600 per year! Whoopee!
Maybe you’ll be lucky, and they’ll have Franklin Raines running the agency issuing those bonds.
The Democrats want to end the private retirement system that has allowed Americans to become a vast investor class and put them back in thrall of the federal government. This is nothing more than a second welfare system that would sit on top of the crumbling Social Security entitlement. It would leave the American working and middle classes with no retirement option other than a government handout.
If the Democrats control both Congress and the White House, kiss your 401(k)s goodbye.

Let us all stop acting stupid. McCain is McCain, Palin is Palin, Obama is Obama and Biden is Biden. That is as plain as it gets. We can all agree that Joe Biden is well educated and he means that which he says.
Joe Biden’s exact words:
The same Joe Biden said he would be honored to run on the ticket with John McCain because, quote, “the country would be better off.” And here we have some common ground. I want a president who spent 22 years in uniform defending our country. I want a president who isn’t afraid to use the word “victory” when he talks about the wars we are fighting. I want a president who’s ready on Day One. I want a president with the experience and the judgment and the wisdom to meet the next international crisis – or better yet to avoid it. I want John McCain as our commander-in-chief.

Still looking for difference between McCain and Bush in their policies. Had thought health plans were one area, but again, I was wrong. Bush proposed health plan (in 2007) is essentially the same thing that McCain is now supporting.. deregulating and forcing employees to private insurance, taxing employers for providing insurance to their workers, and giving a tax credit across the board.. although Bush would provide the tax credit slightly different, it is basically the exact same plan. As analysis has already shown, it simply favors the wealthy and would wind up with more Americans losing insurance.. not the best of plans.

If anyone can come up with a single difference between McCain and Bush, I’m sure the American people would love to see it.

WASHINGTON — Al Qaeda supporters suggested in a Web site message this week they would welcome a pre-election terror attack on the U.S. as a way to usher in a McCain presidency.
“This requires presence of an impetuous American leader such as McCain, who pledged to continue the war till the last American soldier,” the message said. “Then, Al Qaeda will have to support McCain in the coming elections so that he continues the failing march of his predecessor, Bush.”

Here’s an example of “democratic” financial responsibility, tax policy, and dishonesty:
WHO screwed up Social Security??
When Social Security began the “democrats” SAID:
Participation would be VOLUNTARY.
The contributions would be TAX-DEDUCTIBLE.
The funds wouldn’t be used for anything ELSE, and
interest would ADD to the account.
The payouts would NEVER BE TAXED.
LBJ & demo majorities in the House and Senate put the
funds in the General Fund so they could use it for
their pet projects (PORK), no interest adds to the
fund now!
CARTER & demo majorities in the House and Senate
gave Social Security to immigrants who had never
PAID IN!
CLINTON & demo majorities in the House and Senate
made the CONTRIBUTIONS taxable, AND made the
PAYOUTS taxable! (Al Gore cast the deciding vote on
the payouts!)
OBAMA wants to GIVE Social Security to the 11 million
ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS that are here, ALONG WITH
Medicare! (Think more or them will come then to get
in on THAT?) AND, with demo majorities in the House
and Senate, he’ll SUCCEED!
AND, after all THAT, the “democrats” have the GALL to
blame Republicans for the mess Social Security is in!

The wealth that Obama claims in sharing is the earnings of the ordinary workers and the entrepreneurs that have an idea for business and succeed. You will never touch the wealth of the very rich. There can be no sharing the wealth of a Walton, a Bill Gates, a DuPont, a Rockefeller, a Mellon or the more than 400 rich in the United States. You all have been conned by one of the best.
It is now time for me to go to a sunny pristine beach touched by the cool blue waters of the Pacific. You want to share my wealth? You must earn it the way I did by using my God given intellect. I was born poor; I slept on the floor as a child and at times my stomach burned with hunger for there was little or no food.
Now I live in extravagant comfort and I do give generously to the deserving poor, but I will NOT share anything with those I do not know. Many of you only deserve that which you now have and nothing more.
Good-bye to all and have a nice life.

RE: BIRTHPLACE LAWSUIT
There are two Presidential candidates in this election. The candidate you call “that one” was born in the 50th state, Hawaii. (Do you think Fox News would have missed this?) On the other hand, your candidate was unequivocally born in Panama! Now you can come forward with the documentation proving the “canal zone” was part of the USA. Finally, are you sure the hospital was actually in the canal zone?

Not only is McCain out of touch but….anybody here that advocates voting for McCain who is a member of the republican party the same party that has screwed up and ruined our great nation is either a paid blogger, delusional or stupid. I could add more but you get the picture.
Why should republicans get rewarded for screwing up? Isn’t that like rewarding CEOs with huge bonuses even when they screw up the company. Sure let’s reward the people that screwed things up. Who’s stupid enought to do that? A fool, idiot, moron, masochist, lobbyist?

Most Americans have had enough with the last 8 years.. and have come out in record numbers to voice their disapproval. People are taking off their GOP sunglasses and seeing the light. History in the making, and ushering in a new era of intelligence and rational thinking at the helm of our great nation. No longer will people allow scrapings from the bottom of the barrel to represent our great nation, as they have already seen where that leads, and it wasn’t a fun ride.

John McCain was born the son of TWO NATURAL BORN American citizens. That is the only requirement. The US senate and Homeland Defense have cleared John McCain’s citizenship. No other requirement is necessary to prove John McCain’s citizenship.
No one knows of a senate approval for citizenship for Barck Obama or his many other names.

An American speaks:
Today there is a lot of finger-pointing at who is to blame for the ills of our country. The two presidential nominees with the aid of their party say they have plans to correct this mess. I do not have a MA or PhD in any educational field, but I do have a masters “+” in common sense. My common sense tells me these plans are only a political ploy. Why? Because Presidents do not make laws. They are made by Congress and Congress may well have a plan of its’ own. The Presidential nominees so-called plan may sound good, but they are juvenile, a dream, a fantasy, and an illusion. They are smooth words only for a political gain. Cast your vote based on their background and experience. President Bush has taken heat for much he didn’t cause. The financial mess the country is now in started with President Carter’s Administration and escalated with the Clinton Administration. The easy credit made available at low and misleading interest rates with no thought of payback.
I am of the old school and my first concern is the safety and freedom of our country Without the safety and freedom we now enjoy, all other matters become secondary. You should all know of the hatred many foreign nations hold against us and seek to defeat us. Many have and are getting more advanced destructive weapons. Yes, President Bush has taken out one bully terrorist, President Saddam Hussein and, hopefully, our brave soldiers will be coming home soon in victory. (Thank you!) How could anyone who is a U.S. citizen and a supporter of our country, want someone to be our President and lead us who refused to salute the American flag during the pledge of allegiance or wear an American flag lapel pin. Mr. Obama did not salute the American flag until after he was selected to be the Democratic nominee. In addition, why would anyone, especially a democrat, support Mr. Barrack Obama after his own party members stated that he was not fit nor did he have the experience and knowledge to be our President? Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden both stated publicly that Mr. Obama was not experienced enough to be our President. Now, they support him. Why? Only because she was not elected to be the Democratic nominee and he is now the Vice Presidential running mate for Mr. Obama.
Who is the most qualified and able to lead our country and deal with leaders of foreign nations for the next four-years? Here is where experience (the greatest teacher of all) comes into play. Democratic candidate Barack Obama has zero experience dealing with military matters, zero! Smooth words are all he has. Most are lies, yet some choose to still believe them even though they actually know they are lies. How is that possible, and more importantly, why? Republican candidate John McCain has military experience in service and knowledge of global military operations. This is something that is going to be very important over the next four-years and beyond. He has vast knowledge of foreign countries and their leaders and serves well in the Senate on military matters and speaks with authority. He has a strong military background with both his father and grandfather being in the military. An A+. McCain is well able and will meet secondary matters of our nations. He has promised to reach around party lines to fill important positions of leadership to bring parties together in unity for the good of our country.

REBUTTAL TO WARLOCK:
I thought you conservative Republicans were “strict constructionists. The Constitution says, “natural born citizen”. It doesn’t say “natural born citizen as defined by the Senate or Homeland Defense.(Actually, there is no such thing as “Homeland Defense.” There is something called the Department of Homeland Security.) Actually, neither entity has the power to change the Constitution for Republican convenience. You are wrong on the facts and wrong on the law. My guess is you are also about to have a federal judge teach you about Rule 11 sanctions.
Finally, as a practical matter do you really think that the Republican Governor of Hawaii would allow such an intricate conspiracy about Obama’s birth certificate.

Former Solicitor General Ted Olson, a Republican backing John McCain, and Harvard Law Professor Laurence H. Tribe, a Democrat and advisor to Barack Obama, disagree with Professor Chin’s narrow interpretation of the naturalization law and its intent. In a paper issued in March they found that John McCain is “natural born” under the Constitution.
“Based on the original meaning of the Constitution, the Framers’ intentions, and subsequent legal and historical precedent, Senator McCain’s birth to parents who were U.S. citizens, serving on a U.S. military base in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936, makes him a ‘natural born citizen’ within the meaning of the Constitution.”
The question is, is Obama? A birth certificate issued int 2007 does not make a US citizen.
If you insist, no official body in the senate, in the congress, homeland security or any court has disputed John McCain’s citizenship and there is NO COURT ACTION suggesting that John McCain is NOT a US natural born citizen. The same came NOT be said about Obama.
Spin, spin, spin and let your lies wrap around all Obama supporters you.

There are now eight states entering allegations about the citizenship of Barack Obama. Rule 11 states: sanction attorneys or parties who submit pleadings for an improper purpose or that contain frivolous arguments or arguments that have no evidentiary support
No one has seen any federal sanctions handed down under Rule 11. Show the sanctions.

Hawaii governor says nation wouldn’t be safe under Obama (says Obama “touts” he is from Hawaii)
Las Vegas Sun
Posted on Friday, October 17, 2008 2:25:39 PM by Chet 99
Echoing the theme of recent John McCain campaign ads that claim Barack Obama associates with terrorists, Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle told a small Henderson audience that in this presidential election “it’s the protection of your families that’s at stake.”
If the choice between the Republican and Democratic nominees is “posed in this fashion,” she said, then voters are “going to say McCain.”
Lingle’s stump speech for McCain attracted only about 60 people to the Henderson Convention Center on Wednesday afternoon — chairs were taken away shortly before she arrived. By contrast, nearly a thousand came to the same venue to hear Mitt Romney speak in August.
Besides mentioning McCain’s history of crossing party lines, Lingle hardly touched on the Arizona senator’s record and instead focused on Obama.
Policy wasn’t mentioned. In fact, she said the two candidates can “talk all they want” about their plans on issues such as health care and energy, but it “really comes down to: Who do you want to be sitting in the White House when it comes down to the security of America?”
McCain’s campaign has come under fire recently for what some have called scare tactics, and McCain was forced to diffuse the fears of his supporters and defend Obama at a recent rally: “He’s a decent family man, citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues and that’s what this campaign is all about.”
Lingle, though, repeatedly framed the presidential election in terms of the physical safety of Americans and painted Obama as a mysterious figure who is uncomfortable with leadership.
She said voting for Obama would put the safety of the country’s children in the “hands of someone we hardly know.” (She also added that despite Obama’s touting he is from Hawaii, she has never met him and he has “never called me on the phone.”)
Ultimately the country judges the president by how he deals with the unexpected, Lingle said, and Obama “is not a person who will make the tough calls.”

Obama is utterly naive. You can’t negotiate with terrorists like debating your friends at Harvard. They believe Allah is on there side and they can’t loose, thus, to compromise would betray their belief in their god. To them, negotiation is a sign of weakness.

Isn’t it surprising that Obama, Biden, the DNC, their media storm troopers, Hollywood and music celebrity minions, and “democrats” in general explode in displays of visceral hatred against Sarah Palin “racist, KKK, nazi”, Palin’s family, and to a lesser extent, McCain, and anyone else who dares oppose them, but they can’t find any fault with “Rev.” (God Damn America/America invented the Aids virus to kill Black people) Wright and his “church”, which Obama and his family attended for the past 20 years with no complaint about the racism or anti-American diatribes Wright was spewing (even though Wright and that “church” were receiving $15 million in taxpayer dollars over the last 15 years)! Wright WAS also Obama’s campaign’s “Spiritual Advisor” til Wright’s enormous ego made him spill the beans! They likewise find no fault with Ayers & Dohrne, who founded the Weather Underground, that bombed the Capital, the Pentagon, police stations, and killed several people. Obama served on boards, committees, “civic projects”, etc. with Ayers, his wife worked with him, they socialized with Ayers & Dohrne, have friends in common with them (i.d. Rashid Khalidi, who has ties to the PLO), and Obama’s Illinois Senate run was announced from Ayers living room (Obama says Ayers “lived in his neighborhood!) In 2004 or 2005, Ayers said he only wished they had done MORE bombing, he’s been photographed trampling the American Flag underfoot and grinning, but Obama says he “thought Ayers had been rehabilitated”! NOT rehabilitated, NOT repentent, avowed Marxist, vehemently says so in public, but Obama “didn’t know about any of that”! He knows about it NOW, have you ever heard Obama denounce Ayers and Dohrne? Wright? No, just “some of their past activities”. How about Rezko, Obama’s convicted criminal buddy, who gave him $1.6 million and a corrupt real-estate deal? How about Mazen Asbahi, Obama’s “Islamic Advisor”, who had to quit when his Hamas connections were discovered? What about the fact that Obama SUPPORTS Partial-Birth Abortion, the most bestial, sadistic “medical procedure” allowed in this country, against the most innocent and helpless victims, voted AGAINST the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act, which protects babies who survive abortion attempts and are born alive from being killed or left alone to die (he was the only Illinois Senator to speak against it) and even NARAL wasn’t for that, but he ALSO has stated that women should have some period of time after a baby is born to decide if they want it KILLED! What part of THIS GUY IS A MONSTER do you not understand?? Think Jesus would approve of Mr. Obama?
Never hear a word of criticism from anyone on the Obama side, do we? They don’t CARE what Obama, his wife, or any of their associates have ever said or done! They have NO problem with racism, anti-Americanism, criminal connections, corruption, or abortion extremism, so long as those involved support Obama. No better definition of hypocrisy or “low-life” will ever be found.

I did not know McCain said this yesterday; I’ll check it out. I will tell you something, for what it’s worth. I am an independent voter. Way back during the Democratic primaries, before I had decided who to support or not, I sensed that Obama was the next “Bush” for a number of reasons. I timidly approached this in question form on an anonymous question/answer site. Most questions are answered quickly on that site; the next day, however, I had received one particular response, well-written, demanding why I would think this, where I got this idea, and telling me I had no reason to think that way (with no specifics, however). The tone was not that of a partisan on the left, but that of an “establishment” professional. My question and it’s answers were later censored. They just disappeared, and there was nothing violating guidelines whatsoever in the question. So when Obama started becoming hawkish, and now all these people from HW & GW are going to Obama publicly, I am not surprised. I am sad though because Obama voted for FISA and also supports the death penalty. So I am very worried we are going to lose more rights if Obama becomes President. I think that was the worst part of what Biden was talking about, with a crisis like 9/11 being used as an excuse.

To vote for Obama you have to be brainwashed…..ignorant of the facts….or want to lazily and irresponsibly live off other peoples hard earned money.
Socialism does not work….it is trickle up poverty— history is littered with its many failures. Spreading the wealth around and making us all slaves of the completely incompetent and wasteful government is not only a recipe for disaster but would make us more like Russia than the country George Washington once helped create…..
Then there is Biden….the guy is a complete boob— im sorry….if he got 1/1000th of the scrutiny that Sarah Palin got he would be a laughing stock– Come on the guy claimed “JOBS” was a 3 letter word on the stump this week (and no it wasnt a joke)— he was embarrassed so badly by a local news woman when asked serious questions he had to cancel another interview with her station— He lied a dozen times in the VP debate……half liar, half stupid beyond belief– one heartbeat away from the Presidency….heaven help us—
My point— Obama/Biden want to punish the best parts of America and reward the worst parts— take supplies and weapons away from our military during a war to creat a bigger welfare class….just to buy votes…
Dont you people see want the Democrats want to do— have the government take over your entire life—
They destroy the economy by standing in the way of capitalism then blame the free market and say government is the answer….
No nation or individual has been made prosperous by the government….it has failed those who relied on it throughout the last 60 years in America and 600 years in the world….
Democrats equalize people by making everyone poor….
Its time to decide….socialism or capitalism…..do some research…study your history….choose well….
