White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel?
The AP is reporting that Barack Obama has contacted Rep. Rahm Emanuel about possibly serving as White House Chief of Staff if Obama wins.
Obama spokesman Bill Burton tells me "there is no news because there is no job to offer."
I asked Emanuel about rumors he is on Obama’s short list Sunday on "This Week" and here is what he said:
Sherman-esque? You decide.

His father, the Jerusalem-born Benjamin M. Emanuel, is a pediatrician and was a member of the Irgun, a Zionist paramilitary organization in the 1940s.
So is Rahm going to put America’s interests first???
Zionists want America to “bow to Israel.”

My Friends, I’m truly sorry for what I have become. The maverick I was when I ran in 2000 would denounce my campaign tactics in 2008.
You have to understand that my unraveling and incoherent campaign is largely not my fault, but the fault of Republican operatives formerly of the Bush camp.
They made me pick Palin when I wanted to pick Joe (Lieberman) or Tom (Ridge). They told me to embrace the negative smears on my opponent that I once aggressively denounced when they were instigated against me.
I apologize for what I let them do. It wasn’t completely me. They told me what to do and I went with it.
I do have to say the McCain of 2000 would cast a vote for Barack Obama, not the sorry Bush clone of McCain 2008. Thank you my friends.

I am just writing this little bit of information about Barack Obama. First of all I am just an everyday joe who is just a police officer and I do not make alot of money. I took this job to help people and that was my choice. I am middle class person with a wife and a young son. I just live an average life and I work hard to support my family to live the American dream. The problem I have is that this presidential nominee Barack Obama is going to ruin my dream. I don’t think everyone knows who Barack Obama is and what he is about. He is going to take away from the middle to upper middle class and “spread the wealth”" as he says to people who do not have any money. People on welfare practically, and the people who don’t pay taxes. Why should myself or anyone in my position have to pay for them. I am working hard everyday paying my taxes to having Obama elected for me to pay even more taxes. People just don’t get it he will raise our taxes just like Clinton did to the middle class. He is affiliated with ACORN, who right now is being brought up on voter fraud charges now in 15 states. Obama taught classes with them and has close ties with this group, they are one of his biggest supporters as well as the planned parenthood group which is another disgraceful group. I mean come on people wake up!! Whats does this tell you about this guy. He is associated with Bill Ayers who is an American terrorist, who bombed abortion clinics as well as NYC Police Headquarters who to me as a police officer I find this disgraceful!!! Obama had one of his first fundraisers to get him into senate and into his political career in Ayers living room. Another suspicion that just came out is how he paid for his Harvard education, possibly from a black panther member?? I mean do we really know this guy , even the press doesn’t know him well. His preacher in his church is to me a racist and has stated his opinions against white people. I mean I can go on and on, this guy if he gets into office we the American people will be screwed! point blank! I think instead of worrying about Bush and bashing the republicans, just because they do not want another republican in office, they should really look into politics a little more, and understand the truth behind a candidate, like Obama. You should be proud of who you are, and to have a person as our president who really has the experience and love for this country as John McCain does. Thanks for your time and please as just an average middle class citizen who believes that this country will prosper again, vote for McCain and Palin.

JT, I don’t think that McCain loves this country, if he did he wouldn’t be making all of the false accusations about Obama for the entire world to hear. Such a disservice to our country when an old coot like that spews all of that hate. McCain might do a little better if he would address the issues instead of continuously attack Obama, and that little tramp Palin, how can she attack anyone with her disfunctional family???
As far as people being screwed if Obama is the President, well let me tell you it could not be any worse than what George W. Bush has done to this country in a few short years. No more to the Republican corruption….enough already.

WHITE PICKET FENCES: It’s noted that Sen. Obama plans to utilize the 700 billion dollar bailout to convert suburban homes recently acquired by the government (due to failed mortgages) to Section 8 low-income houses for inner-city families. Despite stereotypical fears of crime, school deterioration, and plummeting property values, arguably a low-income relocation program to suburbia enhances social equity for poor inner-city families, integrates the suburbs, and affirmatively spreads the wealth.

no alpaig52 I haven’t thought anything about Bill Clinton and his affair, he’s not the one out on the campaign trail attacking Obama or McCain’s character. On the other hand Palin is out on the trail telling people all kinds of lies about Obama. Fortunately Obama has the class to refrain from calling her out for just what she is. Everything that I’ve read about Palin, I’ve read it on this site, I just don’t have time for rags like the National Inquirer but since you just let me know that they’re writing stories about Palin – I might just have to check one out.

Do you expect Hussein who goes along with Bush and broke his empty promise, when he needed your votes, to vote for giving Bush the power to spy on you, taking your constitutional rights away, when he believes he had your votes in the general election.
Or maybe it’s his Harvard smart working, knowing he will be the One to use it to spy on you.

Janice:
You are really delusional!
George Bush’s approval rating is in the tank. He is a liar! He has spent billions of dollars each month on a war that America should not be in! He didn’t get bin Laden! He helped to create the economical crisis we are in.
And you say Bush is a great President???
Go take your meds!

This is Janice – I am not evil, I am not mean – I am not crazy and I am not an idiot. Poor people, I feel sorry for you. This time next year, you will be sorry, evil begets evil. So get off of my case, now and forever more. You are not going to change my mind and I am not going to change yours. President Bush has been a wonderful President – now deal with that.

boomer444 says G Bush is a great man. More evidence that the mental health system is broken.

A quick follow-on on other Bush accomplishments; fair is fair. Didn’t he put a massive amount of land and marine habitat under environmental protection? Also, didn’t Condi secure a non-nuclear Syria? He also has helped break the GOP into pieces that never should have been a whole. I’m sure there were one or two other minor things, but truly on the balance a walking smirking disaster.
Iran is now reducing their misbehavior out of fear of an Obama presidency and the sanction support he’ll secure from Bush-fatigued allies. In international polls the pops of nearly every major country in the world (Saudi Arabia an exception) overwhelmingly support Obama over McCain, and that matters for security, economy, our ability to mitigate suffering. It’s about regaining our capacity for moral suasion. We desperately need rebranding after the last 8, as us-vs-them doesn’t work when the world is as interconnected as it is today. Drop the emotions, and vote with your brains.

rwilly you are absolutely wrong, time and again. Yes, the world is supporting Obama because he is a liar and has many, many, many people deceived. People voting for Obama will surely regret the day. For the first time in my life I am proud to be an American, that is what is wife said, why say ye?

To jt, the ordinary joe. I take it from your statements that you are a nyc cop. therefor I would not worry about Mr. Obama taking any of your money giving it to the unemployed or welfare recipients. You dont make that much. Not legally anyway. That extra money you and your fellow officers make, its not taxable. If you happen to see Mr. Obama in the Big Apple, don’t shoot him if you see him reach for his wallet.

Janice, you are still following your gut, like some anti-intellectual Texan. And even if the world only bends our way because they are deceived by Obie, they are still bending our way. Better that than butting heads with us because our default is confrontation, the most fundamental consistency between W and Mac. Confrontation begets a loser, and that’s hardly neighborly or Christian, not too mention self-defeating in a zero sum game. McCain could have distinguished himself as a turned-page Repub, but his judgement failed him and he’s made inexpedient campaign decisions, apparently ones that appeal to W apologists like you and about 35 percent of the population. Those choices merely cemented that he is on the wrong side of history, along with people whose thoughts are formed down closer to the exit of their alimentary canal. It’s not too late to evolve, but you’ll need to believe in evolution first. I suggest it for the survival of your line. And we’re all real Americans, God damn it.

George, you’re the best and don’t ever let anyone tell you different!

rwilly, first of all you are crazy. I am not a Texan. I have more intelligence in my little finger than you have in you. You will see. Go McCain, go.

Wow, who said that prejudiced and racism did not exist in this country anymore… I can see it is quite alive.

Ok now remember this selection was not an issue during Clinton, so seems to me crying in spilled milk, so stop causing him to “stumble” as Scriptures state (cause no man to stumble) and lets move to help our country get on the right track.
Lets stop bashing each other and try to be a better person/

Just remember what was said after Obama takes office. Then you will see the smoke and mirrors for what it is. Just a lot of double talk mark my words you will see him for what he is. We will be at war worse then now.I have family stationed in Iraq and I hope they get out before he takes over and gets them all killed.
