Gun Group Accuses Obama Campaign of Swiping Its E-mail List
The National Shooting Sports Foundation — the trade association for the hunting, shooting sports, firearms, and ammunition industry — this week sent a legal letter to the Obama campaign accusing the Democrats of misappropriating the trade group’s email distribution list.
For the NSSF’s annual SHOT (Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade) show, the group has compiled a list of members of the media who attend — names, emails, mailing addresses. No one gets to use the list without officially renting it.
Somehow, the NSSF charges, on September 27, 2008, the Obama campaign’s Hoosier arm — "Indiana for Change" — distributed a press release to the SHOT Show media list, one entitled "Statement from Barack Obama on National Hunting and Fishing Day."
"Obama for America through its Indiana for Change arm has violated NSSF’s legal rights and caused NSSF damages for partisan political gain," accuses Lawrence Keane, vice president and legal counsel for the trade association, demanding that Obama’s campaign stop using the list, destroy it, and pay NSSF a quarter million dollars for having used it.
Keane also says Obama has yet to respond to an inquiry he sent on July 4 asking if the senator believes the Chicago ban on handguns is constitutional in light of the Supreme Court’s Heller ruling that D.C.’s ban is not.
The Obama campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Look at the letter. They sent it CC addressed to Barak H. Obama. That sort of hurts the credibility of the group’s complaint, considering they can’t spell his name correctly. I mean, it’s only been on national TV and on the front page of every newspaper every day for the last 21 months. Apparently gun rights don’t accompany spelling skills or funding for a quick proofread before sending a letter to a guy who most likely will be President of the U.S.

Oh Come on!!! This is an old trick!! How dumb do they think Americans are to fall for this too!!! Tell them “Hi” and invite them to come join the honest side!! I have 2 Vizslas and would love to go hunting. Grandpa who I bred was top AKC stud dog – #2 in Nation. Grand dam is dual champion!! Have male and female. Please contact me. Love to go hunting!!
These Karl Rove Tactics are so old hat!! This is 2008!! Obama will never take guns away from sports groups!! I am sure not scared.
Plus I am sure not willing to let McCain deregulate health care. Yes, he will – I am medical professional and understand the disaster that will happen!! No companies will offer health care eventually under his plan. Tax Incentive is taken away. People are are own!! Tax deduction means nothing since health care costs increase 8-10% per year. Whoops people will not only have to pay $7000 to start it goes up 8-10% more every year. No automatic increases at all!!
McCain idea of starting 401K under Social Security is a death sentence for social security. A defined benefit plan can not survive without new money coming in. Financially impossible!! All social security benefits will be gone in just a few years. Bankrupt. Insurance Pension Guarantee Company will only pay all people a much lower lump sum payout. Plan termination. Social Security gone!! I Understand ERISA quite well- especially defined benefit plan which social security is. Studied it for three year.

This is news? Try harder. This is the most important election of our lives. A gun club in Indiana doesn’t amount to much.
How about trying to identify the man at the Palin Lynch rally yesterday who suggested that Obama be murdered? I’ve lived through three assasinations – and the atmosphere of hatred, violence and division that is being fueled by Sarah Palin reminds me an awful lot of those times. I did not live through the rise of Hitler in Germany – but if you listen to the Palin crowds – and you watch the videos of Hitler – saying nothing – promising anything – fomenting hatred – the two people are interchangeable. This woman pretends to be a Christian. If she were even remotely Christian, the first statement she made today would have been to denounce violence and hatred – and any association with those people. What did we get instead? More of the same lies and more of the same hatred. And what do we get from the media? Some nonsense about a gun club in Indiana. Have some decency.

The truth is that if Obama gets elected look for another great depression. McCain was correct when he stated that 50% of small businesses earn $250,000 or more. Obama plans to increase the taxes of 50% of all the small businesses in America where most of us work. The higher taxes on small businesses will force small businesses to lay off people or go out of business. So who will benefit the most from Obama’s higher taxes on small business? Answer: The bloated corrupt bureaucracy and all of Obama’s ACORN and Rezco type buddies in Chicago, that’s who.

There is no merit whatsoever to the claims involving Ayers. Look it up in fact check. As to Wright, Obama has spoken up against his statements. The same is not true for both McCain and Palin, who have their own church problems. Acorn is a voter registeration agency. No wrong doing having every been charge by offers — only workers not doing their jobs correctly and no evidence that anyone has ever voted improperly as a result of registeration. Obama supports 2nd amendment — with reasonable limits.

What about Palin’s e-mails, Jake?
NYT: Palins Repeatedly Pressed Case Against Trooper
The NY Times is reporting tonight that Walt Monegan received over 3 dozen calls from the Palins and aides calling for the removal of Mike Wooten, Palin’s ex-brother in-law.
The bombshell which is preceding tomorrow’s release of the official report into Troopergate offers more details into the sordid affair with recollections of specific events that finger Sarah Palin’s involvement in pressuring her public safety commissioner to fire her ex-brother in law.
Ms. Palin has denied that anyone told Mr. Monegan to dismiss Mr. Wooten, or that the commissioner’s ouster had anything to do with the trooper. But an examination of the case, based on interviews with Mr. Monegan and several top aides, indicates that, to a far greater degree than was previously known, the governor, her husband and her administration pressed the commissioner and his staff to get Mr. Wooten off the force, though without directly ordering it.
The story makes it clear that there was direct contact from Gov. Palin herself regarding this case.
In all, the commissioner and his aides were contacted about Mr. Wooten three dozen times over 19 months by the governor, her husband and seven administration officials, interviews and documents show.
“To all of us, it was a campaign to get rid of him as a trooper and, at the very least, to smear the guy and give him a desk job somewhere,” said Kim Peterson, Mr. Monegan’s special assistant, who like several other aides spoke publicly about the matter for the first time.
Needless to say, this is a huge story.

Looks like the curtain is falling pretty fast for Palin.
The Alaskan public safety commissioner fired by Sarah Palin was contacted three dozen times over 19 months by the governor and her staff, who were pressuring him to get Palin’s former brother-in-law, a state trooper, off the force, reports the New York Times.
At one point, the commissioner Walter Monegan got a phone call from the director of Palin’s Anchorage office asking that the trooper, Mike Wooten, not be assigned to work at a state fair in 2007, where he had volunteered for duty in full costume as “Safety Bear,” a child-friendly mascot.
The reason provided by the gubernatorial aide was that Palin “was also planning to attend and did not want the trooper nearby.”
Monegan claims that he was fired because he failed to remove Wooten, who was engaged in a brutal child custody battle with Palin’s sister.
“I thought to myself, ‘Man, do they have a heavy-duty network and focus on this guy,’” Monegan told the Times.
Palin’s aides also discussed Wooten with Monegan’s successor, Chuck Kopp during pre-employment conversations. “Is there anything you can do?” an aide asked Kopp.

What is most disturbing to me about Obama is that his lofty rhetoric does not match up with his actual record. Take taxes, Obama says he will decrease the taxes of 95% of the population which on its face sounds good. Problem is Obama’s record shows he has never supported lowering the taxes of anyone. In fact just the opposite, Obama has consistently voted to raise taxes every chance he got.
Obama stated in the last debate that he tried to warn people about the Fannie Freddie meltdown, problem is there is no record of his actually doing that. Than Obama claimed that McCain was for less regulation when in fact McCain supported more regulation of Fannie and Freddie in 2005 and all of the Democrats blocked the bill.
Than there is the Ayers issue. Obama said that Ayers “was just a guy in my neighborhood” when if fact he finally had to admit to Gibson on ABC that he knew Ayers for 10 to 15 years. Obama was the chair of the Annenberg Challenge that Ayers founded and under Obama’s chairmanship, thousands of dollars were funneled to Ayers radical education projects whose purpose was to overthrow the capitalistic system in America, as Ayers stated last year in an interview in the UK.
The aforementioned are just a few of examples of Obama’s track record of saying something that sounds pretty good that is the exact opposite of his actually track record or just out and out lying. Sadly, many people that are supporting Obama just hear the soaring rhetoric and are unlikely to check out the facts. However, nothing is more important than finding out that what Obama says is the direct opposite of what he has been actually been doing.
Thomas Sowell: “The old phrase, “a man of high ideals but no principles,” is one that applies all too painfully to Barack Obama today. His words expressing lofty ideals may appeal to the gullible but his long history of having no principles makes him a danger of the first magnitude in the White House.”

Be forewarned. This is just the beginning. He’s not even elected yet and already they’re stealing lists of possible gun owners for future use. That knock at the door and Obama’s Youth will be demanding your guns since they erroneously believe guns=crime, when the reality of it is crooked liberal politician=highest crime rate state.

Everyone knows how bias the New York Times is and how in the tank they are for Obama, so it should be obvious to all that the Palin “Troopergate” story is an attempt by the NY times to distract people from the real issues of Obama’s collaboration with the unrepentant terrorist Ayers.
Hidden, in the long three page article about “Troopergate” the NY Times had admit that Gov Palin did not directly order Woodten’s dismissal. Per the NY Time “though without directly ordering it.” So the whole story is much ado about nothing.

mara, If Obama had got his way, Al Qaeda would have won in Iraq and with access to all of Iraq’s oil reserves, Al Qaeda would have the means and opportunity to attack us plus use the money to develop nukes. Further, if the US had not invaded Iraq, Saddam would still in power and we would be dealing with two hostile Nations, Iran and Iraq, in the process of developing nukes.
Evidence obtained from Saddam’s files shows that he had every intention of restarting his WMD program as he did not think the US would invade him. Saddam thought the US was a “paper tiger” just like Osama did. He was wrong.
If Obama had got his way and the US had backed down and not invaded Iraq, all of the terrorists in the Middle East including Al Qaeda, Saddam, Iran, would have realized that the US did not have the balls to attack them. Than what? Answer: You can bet your bottom dollar, the terrorists of the world would have no fear of the US and we would have been attacked again by now.

Great republican logic…
We funded these fundamentalist “freedom figthers” in Afghanistan to fight Russia so that few years later they come to attack us with terrorist attacks.

Change we all need. Send Senator Obama and his socialist agenda back to his corrupt Chicago home. The Democrats are the responsible party for our economic chaos. This has been stated by many economic/financial advisors and even the talking heads on TV. It is the reason the DOW keeps dropping. It looks like Obama may be elected and no one trust him with our economy. His higher taxes will curtail any economic growth. Those who pay no taxes are not investing in stocks, companies or new jobs.
ACORN and Obama’s association is not good news. There are voter fraud problems in 20 states where ACORN has been working. The FBI is now investigating. One person said he filled out 74 voter registration forms supplied by ACORN. And today, an ACORN worker were telling people to vote for Obama on video tape. Senator Obama’s campaign paid $800,000 to this corrupt group and all federal funding has been cut off.
Senator Obama and his supporters sees nothing wrong in proven corruption, fraud or lies. HE IS THE GREAT ONE.

What about Senator McCain’s association with convicted Watergate burglar G. Gordon Liddy? This is the guy who, on the public airwaves, instructed his viewers about how to kill a federal agent. This is the guy who boasted that he fired a handgun at a cardboard standee of Senator Hillary Clinton. Yet Senator McCain has appeared on Liddy’s radio show numerous times since these statements — as recently as May, 2008.
What about Senator McCain’s relationship with pastor Rod Parsley, who wants to engage in religious warfare?
What about Senator McCain’s relationship with anti-Catholic, anti-Semitic pastor John Hagee?

What about Senator McCain’s association with Charles Keating? What about his association with Freddie Mac lobbyist Rick Davis — you know, John McCain’s campaign manager?

mary ann, The only reason so many people are endorsing Obama is because Obama has hidden the truth, with the media’s help, about the alliance he has had over the years with terrorists, communists and crooks. In addition, Obama soaring rhetoric does not match up with his actual record. Obama says one thing, ie. I will reduce the taxes of 95% of the people when his record shows he voted for every tax increase that came before him. Obama is a fraud and a liar. Face up to it.

Blue: None of those men bombed the Pentagon and other government buildings that killed three people, bombed a judges house and try to kill the judge. McCain’s friends were not terrorists. Ayers said he wished he had done more. He did’t do enough. That’s the close friend of Obama’s, the radical bomber of 1968 who went underground with Bernadine for several years.

It is this Pentecostal association that most concerns and confuses the McCain campaign. As Minnery makes clear, millions of Evangelicals have accepted Palin because of her membership in a Bible church. But there is no denying that mainstream Evangelicals and Pentecostals, while political allies on many social issues, have historically had significant tensions over theological differences. The Evangelicals’ swoon for Palin might fade if it turns out that she continues to hold fast to Pentecostal practices and beliefs.

I personally witnessed at a Palin event random people shouting slurs and murder. In a time like this everyone should be focusing on the economy and healthcare.. are we going to have a job tomorrow, can I pay my bills, etc. All you guys can talk about guns and terrorist? when i look at the people standing behind mccain at these rallys, i wonder, are any of these people losing their jobs, their health insurance, their homes?
after eight years george bush, with strong support of mccain, has just about ruined every area of the working middle class person life.
how in the world can these people afford to even take a chance on a possible four more years?

he has been supporting, selling, proping up bush at every turn.
it did not take obama’ campaign to tell me john mccain was and is in full support of george bush and what he has and does stand for.
good smart thinking republicans are pulling back and regrouping, george bush has tarnished the republican brand,
but good republicans will get it together again. but not with mccain.
when mccain gave that housing idea,
good republican in my neighborhood, almost exploded.
what foolishness.
mccain needs to pull some of the people who manage his wife’ money in and put them to work on an economic plan to help the people, and get off of the bill ayers and such. leave that to
“Enquiring minds want to know”
let the tabloids handle that stuff.
mccain find some good economist, put your head down and come up with a sound plan.

Justin – Sorry to be so slow. I have this life -and family – and kids. Pretty much nothing you said was backed up by any facts and none of it was accurate. The Iraqis hated Al Qaeda at the time we invaded, and had hated Sunnis for centuries. The Iraqis did not have weapons of mass destruction and no reliable source has shown that they did – or that they had the ability to devlop them. After 4000 American lives and billions of dollars, however, AL Qaeda not only has a stronghold in Iraq, – where they would have been tortured and murdered before the war- there is a strong resurgence in Afghanistan. After 4000 deaths and billions of dollars – we do not have control of Iraq’s oil reserves. The Kurds control some – but the majority is still divided between factions in Basra – and we are not one of the factions. If we had control, oil would not be topping $100/barrel.
What we have done in Iraq is destroy our economy, lose our allies, strengthen our enemies and build a Sharia government in Iraq, which overrules constitutional law – and build closer ties between Iran and Iraq than anyone ever thought possible. The ceasefire in Basra, which occurred during McCain’s visit, was negotiated in Iran – by an Iranian cleric. What we have done in Afghanistan is pull out again, allow opium to become its main economic product, allow Bin Laden to escape and allow time for the Taliban to rebuild. There is no victory. I hate Osama Bin Laden – but he must be laughing in his cave. He didn’t need another attack. All he needed was George Bush – and John McCain lives in a fantasy world where he offers nothing but the same.

You are arging about someone Obama was on a board with who did something dreadful and wrong – when Obama was 9 years old while our country turns into a banana republic. Our economy is collapsing. The divide beween the rich and the poor is the largest it has been in decades. Food stamp requests are the highest they have been since 1970. Unemployment is the highest it has been in 5 years – and the impact of the Wall Street collapse has not even begun to hit Main Street. And you are arguing about someone Obama might have known casually? Do you really think you will change votes? The slander and the lies and the hatred are not working. Did you watch John McCain in the debate? Have you seen the lynch-rallies Sarah Palin speaks at? A woman who is running for Vice President cannot speak in the English language, believes wars are a “task from God” is a closet end-of-days evangelical and that Alaska will be a good place for the rapture – and is married to someone who belonged to a party which wanted Alaska to secede from the union, and you are looking for commies under your beds because of OBAMA? There is a lot more to worry about than this tripe.

I think the housing deal mccain had proposed-is a hard pill for true republican to swallow. and he is not in office yet.
i think the picking of sarah palin was a brilliant political stunt.
(and not very patriotic-for such a patriot as mccain)
i am disappointed that instead of everyday getting out at his rallys and telling us what he will do, he is hard at trying to tear into what obama is saying he will do.
i think the public apperances of mccain and his wife, and the things they are saying, are beneath them. and i am disappointed in them.
sarah palin i can see saying what she is saying, but just as she said she has only been at this for five weeks, and i suppose all she can say is what they tell her to say, and she does a good job at it.
i just believe we need someone in there for the next four years who has not been so closely aligned with geoge bush.
bush has ruined the rep. brand, and right now mccain is not doing anything to repair it.
mccain on the housing issue-no help to the working middle class
mccain on healthcare-no help to the working middle class.
we cannot afford to even take a chance that mccain might keep some of the things of bush.

It’s no use, Bahaya. Both Obama and his campaign have doubletalked their way around those documents because it’s a distraction away from the real issues like the economy. FYI, mystery man Obama. You can’t deal with the economic problem at the moment, neither can McCain. You have neither the experience to know what will work and whoever is elected will certainly have people who will handle it far better than you. Bright side: Highly doubtful there are any undecideds in here. So you right-wing kooks with your fear-mongering conspiracy smears can rant and yell all you want: This country wants change, which is what is necessary when things are headed the wrong direction.
Education – who would you hire?
Obama:
Occidental College – Two years.
Columbia University – B.A. political science with a specialization in
international relations.
Harvard – Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude
Biden:
University of Delaware – B.A. in history and B.A. in political science.
Syracuse University College of Law – Juris Doctor (J.D.)
vs.
McCain:
United States Naval Academy – Class rank 894 out of 899 (meaning that, like
George Bush, McCain was at the bottom of his class)
Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University – 1 semester
North Idaho College – 2 semesters – general study
University of Idaho – 2 semesters – journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College – 1 semester
University of Idaho – 3 semesters – B.A. in journalism
Background and their choices – I’m a little confused. Let me see if I have
this straight…..
* If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you’re
‘exotic, different.’
* Grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, a quintessential American story.
* If your name is Barack, you’re a radical, unpatriotic.
* Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you’re a maverick.
* Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.
* Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you’re well
grounded.
* If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first
black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate’s Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran’s Affairs committees, you don’t have any real leadership experience.
* If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you’re qualified to become the country’s second highest ranking executive.
* If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2
beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you’re not a real
Christian.
* If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your

some of these people who refuse to try to decide about who to vote for based on the issues, but instead want the long list of things such as bahaya has listed, are also people who believe;
-9/11=inside job
-jfk,rfk, mlk,mm, and elvis are all still alive on a island somewhere.
-katrina was a punishment from god
-saddam hussein had wmd
-iraq was associated with 9/11
-man did not go to the moon-just a hoax
-tales of big foot are true-and that picture was real
-believe john mccain should be president just because he was a pow
-sarah palin should be vp/president because-”she is just like me”
-believe they are qualified to be president.

Emm? I wasn’t 9. Obama was 9. There is virtually no evidence that Bill Ayers convinced Barack Obama to run for office or that Obama shared any of his political opinions. On the other hand – there is ample evidence which shows that Todd Palin, who is evidently very close to Sarah Palin, believed that Alaska should secde from the United States of America, and there is written evidence (with witnesses) that the founder of the AIP hated America and was willing to engage in armed conflict with Americans if he felt like it. That is called treason. They were not school children. They were adults. There is also evidence – and no way around it – that John McCain accepted money from a man who stated that the Branch Davidians should “shoot at the heads” of federal agents because otherwise they might survive. McCain not only accepted contributions from this convicted felon, he held a fundraiser at his home in 1998 – again – when he was an adult and was completely aware of his donor’s wingnut views. The man’s name is Gordon Liddy, John McCain considers him a fine man (it’s on tape) and Liddy is a domestic terrorist. John McCain has also called Reverend Hagee his “spiritual advisor.” Reverend Hagee believes that the Cathoic Church is an agent of Satan. There are 70 million American Catholics.
These are not passing relationships – or conjectures. Todd Palin identified himself as an AIP member and Sarah Palin attended meetings. The founder was a violent man who threatened Americans – and was absolutely and completely unrepetent. These statements and actions happened while the Palins and McCains were adults and had full knowledge of the opinions of the people they chose to “pal” around with. And I am not even going to get started on the wingnut Mugee. Want to guess how long end-of-days Sarah attended that church? The Catholic-hating, end-of-world in our lifetime church? 28 years.

Do the research, I personally find researching different things quite intresting, however if you want the information seek and you shall find if your serioius about what your looking for….
And for those who keep saying that people should not be linking Obama to Ayers because what Ayers did was when Obama was 9 years old… If Obama didn’t do his homework before serving on some board with someone and finding out the truth about who they were and what they’ve done. Obama must have had a clue, it’s not like it wasn’t on the news. Obama is only a few weeks younger then my-self and I heards about william Ayers, heck a lady that stayed under the radar all those years ago was apperhended about 10 miles from where I live today. She had a family, kids and grand kids, she had a good life that didn’t keep her from doing time in prison, she is still doing that time, one of the bombings she took part in bombing someone died. He was somone’s daddy, someone’s husband, someone’s son, and someone’s brother…. whether she feel’s bad about it now isn’t realavent… However, Ayers and his wife sat here on public T.V. and announced that they didn’t feel they did enough and wished they had done more, I suppose Obama isn’t aware of that either let me guess he didn’t see the interview.
Well if you want to know what’s coming up ask Obnama what eles he is hiding that he has attempted to surpress, then you’ll have your answer. I myself have already shared the info. I came across with those who were willing to look at it. If you think that I am as naive as Obama to share it with people via the internet you are nutso…. Just to let you know the internet is not the media you should be searching, because Obama and his cohorts have scrubbed a lot of pages. But there are places that they just can not get to in the amount of time they have had…. But if your a student you have so much information at your disposal…. Happy hunting.

Concerned in Ohio – You maybe should run that by Waarren Buffett. He’s a big fan of America, of capitalism, and he does not buy that baloney. He believes that the credit default swaps – which Phil Gramm snuck through congress – were at the center of this meltdown – as does almost everyone else. He calls them weapons of financial mass destruction.
Phil Gramm was John McCain’s co-chair, his economic advisor and i a solid Republican – who helped ruin ourr economy – and walk away a multi-millionaire. Remember? John McCain’s co-chiar, just a few months ago, told us the economic mess was “mental.” Can you imagine what kind of advisors this man would choose for president? Looked at a paper lately? Americans blame the economy on the Republicans by a ratio of a little over 2:1. That means lots of Reublicans don’t buy the hogwash, either.

To be President you have to be a natural born citizen:
Constitution setting out who is eligible to be president. Article II, which also specifies that a person must be at least 35 years old, says “No person except a natural born Citizen” can be president.
Barack Obama was born in the US so he can McCain wasnt so he can’t.
Sen. McCain is undoubtedly a citizen. He was born on Aug. 29, 1936, in the Panama Canal Zone, and Congress has specifically provided that anyone born there of U.S. parents, as he was, is a citizen. Indeed, the general rule is that anyone born of U.S. parents outside the United States is a citizen.
But is John McCain a natural born citizen? The Constitution does not define the term further, and legal scholars say the notes of the Constitution’s drafters shed little light on what they meant. It seems clear only that the founders wanted to make certain that whoever was president would be loyal to the U.S. alone and not to some other country. But the term “natural born citizen,” many scholars say, was not in common use at the time the Constitution was written.
In 1964, the Supreme Court ruled that “natural born” meant born inside the United States. In an opinion on an unrelated issue, the court observed, “The rights of citizenship of the native born and of the naturalized person are of the same dignity and are coextensive. The only difference drawn by the Constitution is that only the ‘natural born’ citizen is eligible to be President.”
U.S. ‘never had sovereignty’ over Canal Zone Besides, many legal scholars say the Canal Zone never was sovereign U.S. territory. In a February 1978 speech to the nation on the Panama Canal Treaty, heavily vetted by government lawyers, President Carter said, “We have never had sovereignty over it. We have only had the right to use it. The US Supreme Court and previous American presidents have repeatedly acknowledged the sovereignty of Panama over the Canal Zone.”

John McCain was born on an army base in Panama, and both of his parents were American citizens and if both parents are serving in the armed forces and both are American citizens you have the same birth rights…. What kind of service would people be willing to give to their country, if they knew that they were serving their country in another country at the time of their child’s birth there for they forfiet the child AMERICAN birth rights….. Don’t you think we have screwed our veterans enogh already…. Its make no differnece:
State Department manual on U.S. citizenship has to say about children born on U.S. military installations:
Despite widespread popular belief, U.S. military installations abroad and U.S. diplomatic or consular facilities are not part of the United States within the meaning of the 14th Amendment. A child born on the premises of such a facility is not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States and does not acquire U.S. citizenship by reason of birth.

there has never been released a BIRTH CERTIFICATE(which is different from a cerificate of live birth) that states where bho was born. the colb only says it was filled out in HA. the bc would give the hospital, etc, PROVING location of birth.
in order for a baby to be a citizen form a parent, bho, the parent must have lived in the us for ten years, AND, five years after their 14th birthday. bho’s mother was 18…not eligible for this clause if born in kenya. however, the question is not just about birth, but whether he became a citizen of indonesia when his mother married soetoro. bho was regitered in school in indinesia as barry soetoro, and as indonesian. this citizenship would disqualify him. then there would also need to be proof he changed his name back to obama, and that he pledged allegiance to the us at age 18, as stipulated.

YheaI agree with you there Bush Senior and Bin Laden were friends then they had a big falling out over What? MONEY of course. MONEY changes everything…. Speaking of money how many homes do you think Obama could have provided the homless in America. if he had collected donations for his cause and still took the public financing for his campaign. I was reading somewher he has had over 250 million dollars given to his campaign how many homes could that buy, how many jobs would that create…. Oh no he just has to blow it on looking hooked up with huge backers, uhm I wonder if all those individuals live in America and how many violatet the 4,600.00 maixmum donation rule. Oh let me guess Obama is not aware or will he claim credit for the blunders of his campaign managers. I thought he was using his experience at running a campaign as experience to run the country…. Well that’s hilarious, if your gonna take credit running a campaign as experience to run a country, you might as well take credit for the screw ups as well because if you throw that out, your portfolio is again lacking. So which is it Is Obama running his campaign or his is campaign managers runnig his campaign…. Someone is screwing up which one is going to claim the credit for having to return so many donations that were given and taken in violation to the campaign rules???

Oh, hey, jt.
A follow up on McCain’s NBC status. The founding fathers had not anticipated this sort of situation, and the question of a candidate’s citizenship status has never been a problem before (just one time when Arizona was a territory). There has been no precedent ruling to establish it one way or the other.
It’s most likely, however, that, given the area of grayness, the Supreme Court would rule in favor of granting Natural Born Citizen status to a person born by military parents stationed in the PCZ.

James, what I wrote was that:
the issue is moot since there was no anticipation of it during the time the requirements for presidency were written.
There have been no challenges to the requirement since.
If the issue of McCain’s NBC status was seriously a problem, the Supreme Court would be the body which would have to make a ruling on it.
Given the make up of the current Supreme Court, it is most likely that they would rule in favor of granted NBC status to Gov. McCain.
Since no one is willing to go all the way to the SC and push for an immediate ruling, due to time constraints as well as my previous point that they would most likely rule in favor of granting him NBC status, the issue is moot.
Obama’s citizenship status is another story with other factors involved that could easily be settled if he would only provide the required documents to the court that has ordered their submission. He has not done this which is why there is such a ruckus. If he’s unwilling to prove legit status, the assumption is that he can’t, regardless of his past claims that he has cooperated. The proof is in the pudding.

Right, bl.
Citizenship and Natural Born Citizen are two different things.
McCain was born to American parents abroad and therefore, by proxy received US citizenship status at birth.
The question was whether he fulfills the requirement of being a NBC to be President.
In my previous post, I explained that there would have to be a ruling. Supreme Court, and/or as you point out, the Senate. So it’s a dead end issue now.

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, another powerful Chicago-based political figure associated with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and other long-time associates of Democratic Party presidential candidate Barack Obama, is leaving no doubt about what he thinks of the leader in the campaign for the White House.
He says when Obama talks “the Messiah is absolutely speaking.”
Drudge Report is running this….
Farrakhan on Obama: ‘The Messiah is absolutely speaking’
‘Barack has captured the youth,’ will bring about ‘universal change’

James feels the need to repost his problem with McCain. Here’s my answer again.

I’ll show you yours’ when you show me yours’!! Obamas mommy is American, his daddy is African and he was born outside of the U.S.. Both of Johns parents are “AMERICAN”. COM-PRE-HEND?

C’mon people. Read my post. Rat, McCain being a citizen is not enough, but as I and others have pointed out, the Senate granted him NBC status last year.

For goodness’ sakes, the certificate they produced shows the exact hour and minute Obama was born.
BOTH Obama and McCain are US citizens. This is a non-issue.
When will some of you get it in that Obama DOES not want to take away people’s guns. He just wants more regulations so it’s not so easy for criminals or people planning a murder spree to get their hands on them. Sure, he’s no gun lover, but even if he WANTED to take away your guns, he couldn’t. It has to pass through so many things are right now the majority of Supreme Court Justices are conservatives. Even if he appointed more liberal Supreme Court Justices, it wouldn’t even be a majority enough to overturn the Second Amendment.

There IS a RICO investigation of ACORN and the Obama campaign underway – this has now been established by the mainstream media. Right now it’s rumored here in Chicago that Patrick Fitzgerald is heading it (confirmation on that has not come yet). There is a lot of activity in Chicago right now, with a lot of IRS agents looking into the finances coming in and out of this city, and across state lines (this was established on Monday when the GOP issued emergency press releases that much of Obama’s campaign contributions could very well be illegal foreign contributions – what appears to be deliberately poor record keeping designed to hide the true identities and monetary sources of online donors is at issue here). We see in 15 states now that ACORN is being busted for attempted voter fraud, and for fraudulent, illegal voter registratons in the hundreds of thousands, if not a million. The article below states, and we have confirmed this with people who know for sure, that the people who gathered evidence of Obama’s fraud and voter intimidation techniques during the primaries against Hillary Clinton are sharing everything they have with the Republican Party and the federal government.
What’s happening here is something we have never seen before: centrist Clinton Democrats and Republicans are working together to expose the DNC and Obama campaign’s illegal activities and orchestrated, coordinated fraud. Both parties are working with federal agents to investigate ACORN, which has been funded with upwards of $800,000 in questionable donations from the Obama campaign (in what appears to be the expressed and explicit direction to engineer voter fraud in the general election). The tactics being employed now in the 15 states currently under investigation are the VERY SAME TACTICS we saw on the ground in Iowa, Texas, Colorado, Nebraska, Indiana, and other states working for Hillary Clinton in the primaries.
And all of this ties back to Chicago.
Where the Obama campaign and DNC are now based.
Where people we know tip us off to little things to pay attention to that, when pieced together with all the other little pieces that are revealing themselves, leads to a single conclusion: there will be indictments for all of this.
We don’t know when they will come — but they will come. There is just too much here to ignore.

What is going on in the MSM today ?
did they feel the wind is turning BY reporting thousands of FRAUD attempts by Obama supporters ?
The NYT is reporting on illegal, fraudulent contributions to Obama’s campaign…over 3,000 gibberish, imaginary names that the Times was able to find, after reviewing only a small portion of Obama’s $450 million in donations.
The NY Post is also reporting that Obama-supporting ACORN bribed homeless people with cash and cigarettes to illegally register to vote 72 times in attempts to multi-vote fraudulently for Obama in Ohio.
CNN is reporting that thousands of voter registrations ACORN submitted for Obama in Indiana ARE FAKE: dead people, fictitious people, gibberish names. Indiana’s ACORN offices are now being investigated. That brings the total of states conducting ACORN/Obama investigations to 16.
In Texas, over 4,000 DEAD PEOPLE are on the voting registration books — and some of those people were dead during the primaries, but voted anyway. ACORN in Texas is now being investigated too.

Hacking email, stealing email lists, voter fraud, what does it take to get people to understand that the Obama organization has decided it is above the law and anything goes?
Try this: when you see the commercials for those prime time specials, remember the hedge fund investors who have financed Obama. How did Obama pay?
That is your 401k and your child’s college fund buying him prime time.

OBAMA LIED ABOUT HIS ACORN Training sessions:
If you go to the current Fight the Smears website today and read up on Barack Obama’s connections with ACORN this is what you will find:
The Obama Campaign claims that Barack was never an ACORN trainer and that he was not associated with ACORN in 1992:
• Fact: Barack was never an ACORN community organizer.
• Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.
• Fact: ACORN was not part of Project Vote, the successful voter registration drive Barack ran in 1992
However, The Cleveland Leader did some digging around in the internet archives and found some information that was recently erased by ACORN.

I suppose McCain/Palin are below common civility which is why they feel obliged to incite their supporters to call their opponent a “terrorist”. Even if you think he was involved in voter fraud-which he is not- he certainly is no terrorist. Elected officials DO get subject to background checks, you know.

For heavens sake. A trade group has a MEDIA LIST. People on that list get a press release from Obama. Trade group accuses Obama group of stealing it?
It is a media list. I did not know the media hid their e-mail addresses from anybody. I do not know what is stupider, this accusation or a member of the national media covering it.

How can you trust him to do what he says on taxes, education, health care?
Obama is LYING about Ayers:
“Why don’t we just clear it up right now,” Obama told ABC News’ Charlie Gibson in an exclusive interview for World News. “I’ll repeat again what I’ve said many times. This is a guy who engaged in some despicable acts 40 years ago when I was eight years old. By the time I met him, 10 or 15 years ago, he was a college professor of education at the University of Illinois . . . And the notion that somehow he has been involved in my campaign, that he is an adviser of mine, that . . . I’ve ‘palled around with a terrorist’, all these statements are made simply to try to score cheap political points.”
But Obama LIED about Ayers. The two have a relationship that goes back many years during which Ayers continued to express his profoundly anti-American views. Ayers helped launch Obama’s political career and has been at his side throughout Obama’s early career.
Obama is LYING about ACORN:
Madeline Talbott, lead organizer of the Chicago ACORN community organization: “Barack has proven himself among our members. He is committed to organizing, to building a democracy. Above all else, he is a good listener, and we accept and respect him as a kindred spirit, a fellow organizer.”
Obama LIED about Rev. Wright:
“The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity or heard him utter in private conversation.” — Barack Hussein Obama March 14, 2008
DON’T EVEN MENTION THE FAKE COLB !…
Obama lies about who and what he really is…
How can anyone believe his promises in this presidential campaign?

Emm,
For the record, there have also been plenty of attempts by the RNC to block eligible voters. Trying to prevent people with foreclosures from voting, purging eligible voters from rolls and whatnot.

THE AYERS/OBAMA TIMELINE:
1981-1983 = William Ayers and Barack Obama meet at Columbia?
1987 = William Ayers links up with Barack Obama in Chicago
1988 = Ayers solicits Khalid Al-Mansour to raise money for Obama’s Harvard law School education
1989 = Tom Ayers and William Ayers get Obama a summer job at Sidley & Austin (where he meets Michelle Obama); Ayers’ wife Bernadine Dohrn also worked at Sidley at about the same time as Barack and Michelle.
1993 = Ayers places Obama on Woods Foundation
1995 = Ayers makes Obama Chairman of Annenberg Challenge
1995 = Ayers hosts a coffee klatch for Obama’s political debut (Obama falsely claims this is when he met Ayers)
2007-2008 = The structure of Obama’s presidential campaign increasingly comes to resemble an Ayers-designed national “community organizer matrix” straight out of Maoist theory. This is not merely a presidential “campaign.” Obama’s organization is the first installment of an ongoing movement being paid for with tax-exempt contributions to his campaign, approaching half a billion dollars (many of it from foreign Middle East sources).
2008 = Obama, in response to ABC News, tells a national TV audience he was “six years old” when Ayers bombed federal buildings, and that they are only casual neighborhood acquaintances.

Another Muslim outreach director under the Obama bus?
from WallStreetJournal:
“Obama’s Staff Slips Up With Muslim Outreach”
Minha Husaini, the Obama campaign’s most recent Muslim outreach director, “participated in a meeting in mid September that was attended by several controversial Muslim activists,” Jim Popkin, NBC News Senior Investigative Producer, reported late last evening.
The Obama campaign now concedes that was a misjudgment, and that its top Muslim staffer would not have attended the meeting if she had known the full participant list beforehand. …
On September 15, newly named Muslim outreach director Minha Husaini spoke to a small group of Muslim leaders and potential Obama supporters at a hotel in Springfield, Virginia, several meeting participants and the campaign said. Two other Obama-affiliated Democratic Party workers joined Husaini and also spoke to the crowd.
This is not the problem. Susan Schmidt reported in the Wall Street Journal
PARTICIPANTS INCLUDED leaders of the Council of American-Islamic Relations and the Muslim American Society [MAS], which have been cited by the government in the past for ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.
Schmidt writes the U.S. Justice Department “has asserted in court proceedings that [MAS]’s organizers were members of the Muslim Brotherhood, a global group promoting political Islam.”

Voter Fraud in Ohio:
unbelievable that a U.S. district judge must issue an order requiring that the Ohio Secretary of State verify registrations.
CINCINNATI (AP) — A federal judge on Thursday ordered Ohio’s top elections official to verify the identity of newly registered voters by matching them with other government documents.
U.S. District Judge George C. Smith in Columbus ruled that Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner must perform verification required by the Help America Vote Act. That includes matching new registrants’ information against information in databases maintained by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles or the Social Security Administration.
The order was the result of a lawsuit the Ohio Republican Party filed against Brunner, a Democrat. …
Judge Issues TRO Against the Ohio (Democrat) Secretary of State:
Apparently, in some quarters, intervening in instances of a guy registering to vote 72 times and people being harassed by ACORN to register multiple times fall into the category of “suppression” rather than “fraud”. Thank God some of the targets who were harassed had the honor and courage to speak up.
““Plaintiffs assert, and the court agrees, that it is hard to imagine a public interest more compelling than safeguarding the legitimacy of the election of the president of the United States,” [U.S. District Judge George C. Smith in Columbus, Ohio] wrote in his ruling.”

Heard on radio yesterday that there is a dem in Washington proposing a bill to tax our 401K. Letting us save money has cost the govt 800B dollars. These dem bums should be voted out of office. All they can think of is how to take our money and tell us they “feel our pain”.

Interesting. Two things to keep in mind:
1) the release was written and distributed by the NSFF…hence the vitriol, but more important,
2) anyone can buy the entire list for $150… for NSSF members, it’s only $75.
The issue is the term “unlawfully obtained” which means either the Indiana Obama Campaign pretended it was someone else to buy the list (though there is no mention of that in the release the NSFF wrote)…or that someone at the NSSF didn’t think about who was buying the list and just processed the payment and sent the campaign the list…or someone got the list legally and forwarded the list (illegally) to someone the Obama campaign….there has to be a paper trail either way…
