Joe the Plumber Campaigns for McCain, Investigation Continues into Who Searched His Records

As Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, aka "Joe the Plumber," campaigned for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in his home state of Ohio today.

At one stop, a voter from Florida asked him if "a vote for Obama is a vote for the death of Israel."

Wurzelbacher replied, "I’ll go ahead and agree with you on that."

(Obama has repeatedly affirmed his support for Israel as "non-negotiable.")

Wurzelbacher also said, "I love America. I hope it remains a democracy, not a Socialist society. … If you look at spreading the wealth, that’s honestly right out of Karl Marx’s mouth."

Meanwhile authorities revealed some answers as to who had improperly searched Wurzelbacher’s personal records, the Columbus Dispatch reports.

* "The Toledo Police Department announced today that a civilian employee improperly pulled Wurzelbacher’s information on behalf of a reporter for a Toledo television station shortly after the Oct. 15 presidential debate. The employee has been charged with gross misconduct and faces a disciplinary hearing, said Chief Michael Navarre. He declined to identify the TV station, but said the reporter confirmed asking for a check on Wurzelbacher’s address.

* "The Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency also said an employee’s computer was used to improperly access Bureau of Motor Vehicles records on ‘Joe the Plumber.’ The employee denies involvement.

* "Another access of Wurzelbacher’s information, by an outside contractor who had access to an attorney general’s office test account, is being investigated by the State Highway Patrol.

* "Inspector General Thomas P. Charles is investigating why the director of Ohio Department of Job and Family Services approved a check on Wurzelbacher through the state’s child-support computer system. Director Helen Jones-Kelley said that after a ‘team meeting,’ she OK’d the check because the department often runs inquiries to check for unpaid child support when people are thrust into ‘the public spotlight.’"

Jones-Kelly, a Democratic appointee who has given the Obama campaign $2,500, claimed to have had no political motivations when she allowed the check.

This guy was a plant from day one by the McCain campaign. He may be related to Charles Keating or at least shares the last name of Keating’s son in law. His real first name is Samuel and he’s not a plumber. I think we can call him Sam the Sham and he’s part of another McCain Palin campaign scam. I ber he’s not traveling for free.

Joe the plumber is not affected by either candidate’s tax plan because Joe the plumber did not pay his taxes.
Isn’t it illegal for the McCain campaign to extort support from a law-breaker. What’s Joe the plumber getting for this support? Tax forgiveness? 15 minutes of fame?

Joe the Plumber,
Joe the plumber is out of his mind. If he thinks his business will be profitable with a McSain in office, bleeding the middle class people where they have to work 3 jobs just to pay the mortgage or light bill or water bill, compared to calling a PLUMBER.
HE IS OUT OF HIS MIND WHEN McCAIN IS SENDING OUR JOBS OUT OF THE COUNTRY.
JOE WAKE UP.
DON’T LET THEM BLIND SIDE YOU BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS VOTED FOR A REPUBLICAN..
TAX THE RICH NOT THE MIDDLE CLASS’S CHILDREN WITH A 700,000,000,000.00 BAILOUT FOR THE RICH

Obviously, you must feel the same about Joe Biden, who has a long history of avoiding paying taxes, bills for services, and campaigns, etc. etc.
Let Joe Biden know, so that he can pay his debts before you vote for him, OK?

Every American should shudder to know that the government can spy on you if you speak out. BOTH Dems and Repubs are complicit in supporting illegal wiretapping and searching of YOUR personal records! It’s an outrage and at the very least a personal violation of our privacy. No matter who you support for the Presidency, we can ALL agree on this!
Ohio’s Gov. Strickland should immediately fire the ODJFS Agency Director Helen Jones-Kelley who admits she snooped into “Joe the Plumbers” file without cause. Jones-Kelley should be prosecuted along with all those who violated “Joe the Plumbers” privacy. Fat chance though…

Why the h&ll are we giving this guy airtime? I’m an average white woman in Florida, and I don’t get to go on TV and tell everybody what I think about McCain’s BS plans! So why is this guy getting so much attention? First of all he’s a fake, so everything that’s coming out of his mouth is just a lie. But what more can you expect out of the McCain\Palin campaign? They are such low lifes. God help us all if these people get control of our country. McCain will probably give Joe the Plumber a nice cushy seat in his cabinet somewhere!!

With all the attention McCain has given this guy we know he is going to suck every second out of his 15 minutes. I do wonder since this guy is looking to own a plumbing business has the McCain campaign given any side money to start his business? I scratch your back if you scratch mine!!!!

Posted by: Trueambassador | October 28, 2008, 6:57 pm 6:57 pm

“Joe the plumber” may not be an eloquent speaker but his point is well taken.
Barack Obama admits his Presidency would drastically change the Middle East Policy as both Democrats and Republicans have agreed upon for decades, that Israel is our priority in the region. Obama would change that.
I can’t understand why any Jew or any American voter who supports Israel could vote for Barack Obama.
If ANY other candidate had said what Obama has said about changing U.S. Policy regarding Israel and the Middle East they would be crucified for it in the media.
As usual in this 2008 campaign debacle, Barack Obama gets a total free pass on this Israeli issue as well.
Barack Obama has yet to be fully vetted and we are only a week away from the election.
If journalism had any shred of crediblity left it died completely in 2008.
It’s a shame, the U.S. and the world deserve better.
Heaven help us.

Look at the disgusting way that the media and the obama campaign has attacked Joe….who is only guilty of one thing…EXISTING. Joe was minding his own business, and along comes Obama, and Joe had the nerve…the NERVE…to ask him a question! This is what happens when you ask a corrupt man a question…look at what Biden did to the reporters in Florida and Philly….you ask difficult questions, you get banned!
Is this the society you want? This is what Obama will bring to America. Hope you like your freedom of speech, because it will be gone if you vote for Fuhrer Obama.

You people are so sad! The fact that you cannot recognize a hard working American when you see one is disgraceful. America was built on the backs of people like Joe the Plumber, and now that Obama wants to take his hard earned wages and give it to people who choose not to work is disgusting. We all know who will be benefiting from this “spread the wealth” nonsense. If you are afraid to admit it to yourself, then you are just burying your heads in the sand. The mom and pop businesses will go under so fast if Obama is elected because their money will go to the trash who are already draining our economy. I just do not know what is wrong with you people. It just makes me so sad to see Americans choosing a man for President who HATES America.

All Obama supporters, do you really want to give any politicians regardless parties unchecked powers to control and change anything they want???
Think harder before you cast your freedom away and assuming Obama-pelosi-Raid will give you a few hundred Dollars. Absolute power corrupt people.
1. Barney Franks already promised to raise tax across board. Hold on your wallet.
2. Obama said that he would allow Bush’s tax cut expire, another word for tax increase. Family making $25000 will pay $700 more, People make $50000 will pay $2500 more, Those make $75000 will pay $3000 more.
3. You pay more on things you buy, because business pass tax increase to you by raising prices
4. Millionaire Obama and his rich friends Kennedy, Pelosi and Fannie Mae CEOs do not pay more tax, only you the middle class pay more, because they hide their money in the Trust. They do not represent middle class.
5. Obama will raise social security tax, capital gain tax, death tax, etc
Obama-Pelosi-Raid do not care about middle class, they only want your money to control you and to give to the people of his chosen such as voting fraud organization ACORN and his wife’s hospital that doubled her salary to $300,000 in return.

Funny how the Republicans gave our country away to the ultra wealthy and meanwhile try to change the subject and scare us “The Russians are coming, Sarah Palin will save you!” “Obama is an Arab, here, this old Maverick who fight the bad guys!” Palin is dishonest and McCain is flailing. Meanwhile, I’m trying to pay the mortgage and figure out how to pay health care for my wife and daughter. Thanks Obama for being a steady hand for the middle class!

Joe the plumber, the one walking around on two feet, is not a poster boy for McCain. He doesn’t have a license, he would pay fewer taxes under Obama’s plan, he owes back taxes, he thinks social security is a joke, etc. The idea of Joe the plulmber, on the other hand, does benefit McCain. He symbolizes middle America, the ones McCain want to vote for him. What is interesting is how the idea of Joe the plumber got into people’s heads when the real Joe was so much different. That’s what those PR guys get paid big bucks for.

Posted by: james ruston | October 28, 2008, 7:08 pm 7:08 pm

Common Sense,
Perhaps part of the reason Joe the plubmer couldn’t pay his taxes under the Bush tax plan now the McCain-Palin tax plan. The middle class and working poor taxes went up to partially pay for the huge tax cuts of the very rich in this country. Here is a good Example: My taxes have gone up over 7%. My income has remained stagnant at $50,000.00 a year over the past 8 years.

Next time a plumber comes to fix a leak in your trailer do yourself a favor and ask the Plumber.I hear all this whining about invasion of Privacy and yet some people don’t object to it when people searched private records of Joe. Joe did not neglect to pay his Taxes. He had a Tax lien from the City. Apparently some of you can’t tell the difference between a tax lien when peoplearen’t always notified and a filure to pay regular taxes where the IRS always notifies.

Congratulations, Joe. Your’s is the first bought vote in the 2008 election. Is anyone so naive as to think that the Republican’ts didn’t promise Joe a little something in exchange for his support? Maybe they offered to pay his back taxes, help him get his plumbing license (finally!) and set him up in business? He certainly picked up the McCain-Palin “anti-Socialist” playbook without any trouble. Maybe he can give Sarah some lessons in how to string three words together and make a sentence. Face it, McCain is clutching at any straw he can grab at this point. He needs Joe badly, and to lose his support to Obama would have been a disaster. Palin-Plumber in 2012!!!

I love how you liberals try to pick apart the average guy who was able to get Obama to clearly speak his attentions. Not only did Obama say it to Joe the Plumber but he said it at a spring 1996 meeting of the Chicago chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, which has a 34-year-old Obama talking redistribution at the beginning of his political career. He again said it in 2001 on a radio interview, and now again in 2008! Can you liberals claim these were McCain Plants? I hope the 1 Million people who are attending Obama’s victory party are ready for a big let down. freedomfighter1975, I lived in communist/socialist country. I have first hand info on socialist. It all started with take from the rich and give it to the poor. After 30 million people died of starvation and prosecution, the socialist is sure made everyone equally poor by taking away of rewarding hard working and innovations. Helping poor by encouraging business to create jobs, not free handouts that create dependencies. Socialist has been proven to be not working in Russia, China, and Cuba.

And the Left trips over themselves to justify it. I find it highly entertaining that the same crowd that called Bush a fascist is a-ok with totalitarianism.

Sarah palin is the most popular Governor with more than 90% approval rating from her state. She is an American Governor with executive experiense, not a constitution schoollar you thought you are. She fight corruption by open betting for gas pipeline contract to fight closed door deals and bribe. The is the concept of free market and open competition.
Let’s say what have your boss Obama ever done:
-vote present more than 100 times in state senator
-become US senator by elimination opposition
-vote for raising tax 95 time even for people made $45000
-the second largest recipient of money from Fannie Mae so he refused to regulate them and crashed our economic
-Running for president for 2 years
-Teach ACORN how to register democrats, say fraud
-represented ACORN in court to force banks to lend money to the people who could not afford it.
- communist community organizer with terrorist Ayes and Racist Wright.
What an experience Obama has.

I like how everyone is either harping on him being an unlicensed plumber or saying “poor working class guy is too stupid to know McCain is using him.”
First, it’s not uncommon for plumbing companies to have one licensed plumber on staff and then a number of equally qualified unlicensed plumbers doing work under his license number. That’s typically the way it’s done, so let’s not pretend the guy is evil or a fake plumber.
Second, just because the guy does skilled labor doesn’t mean he’s stupid.
Third, yeah, if someone wants to socialize medecine and redistribute wealth, that’s a socialist agenda. If you support it, you support Socialism to one degree or another. Where is the controvercy in pointing this out?

According to a USATODAY article, Government Accountability office estimates more than 60,000 federal contractors owe $7.7 billion in back taxes.
I’m sure there are millions of “average Joe’s” out there who are hard working citizens who owe small amounts in back taxes, like Joe the Plumber. James321,
Not only that, but think about all the people that lost their homes that will now get an automatic tax increase because they can’t write off mortgage interest if they don’t have a mortgage. Under McCain’s plan, everything, including healthcare benefits, will become taxable income.
Obama proposes a banking system that allows small businesses to borrow directly from the government and force the banks to be reasonable. McCain’s only solutions reward overpayment by taxpayers to keep the wealthy at status quo (instead of forcing them to be competitive).

I’m wondering how much the GOP paid “Joe the Plumber” to ask the question. Seems like a plant to me. As for “Joe” campaigning for McCain..who gets their political views from their plumber.
It also seems that alot of people who comment here seem to know an awful lot about Obama’s tax plan. From what I’ve read about the plan it’s nothing like what I’m reading here. I guess they think if you keep repeating the same lie it will eventually be accepted as the truth. I think Karl Rove said something similar to that in the 2000 election.
To me the dreaded redistribution of wealth means that under the Obama plan I would get to keep more of the money I earn and the wealthiest will have to finally pay there fair share of taxes. I’m not against anyone being wealthy, but the wealthy have access to all we have in this counrty and they should pay their fair share. Why do they get tax cuts and the average worker has to make up for it in their taxes.
Don’t be fooled by the Republicans caring about the average person. It seems they only care about the middle class when they need votes to get elected. The Republicans never seem to give a damn once elected. Their only worry is taking care of the people with money who think as they do and enabling them to keep their way of life. The Republicans .. the party of I’ve got mine and the hell with everyone else.

5. Obama will raise Social Security tax, medicare tax, medicaid tax, unemployment insurance tax, capital gain tax, death tax, etc
Obama-Pelosi-Raid do not care about middle class, they only want your money to control you and to give to the people of his chosen such as voting fraud organization ACORN and his wife’s hospital that doubled her salary to $300,000 in return.

So, if it is not unusual for non-licensed plumbers to work under their boss’s license, what happens when Joe buys his boss’s business? Would he need a plumbing license to operate a plumbing company? I really don’t care who looked into his background. He is so obviously a plant he should be growing leaves.

Please make this poor guy go home and get back to work. Has Sam spent a lot of time reading Karl Marx? Because I don’t know a soul who has. So how does he even know what he said or thought? Could some reporter with a brain please ask him this question?
As for Obama and all this nonsense about socialism, I think I’ll take the word of Warren Buffett over Sam the Plumber. And hope that Sam soon goes home to take care of his kid. He is the Kato Katelin of this election. Apparently, John McCain had never spoken directly with a middle class person before he met Sam.

>I love America. I hope it remains a democracy, not a Socialist society.
>If you look at spreading the wealth, that’s honestly right out of Karl Marx’s mouth.
I will give a journalist $100 straight outta my pocket if they ask Joe to define socialism.

“Joe the plumber” campaigning for McCain is really funny. Anderson and Gergen on CNN were laughing about it.

Posted by: Kathy | October 28, 2008, 11:15 pm 11:15 pm

Charles: Credit default swaps became legal through the legislative work of Phil Gramm, former co-chair of McCain’s campaign and his former chief economic advisor. You’re right – that’s how we got into this mess – but the legislation was passed long before Obama even gave his first national speech. The Gramm measure (2000) was called Commodity Futures Modernization Act. Gramm’s measure allowed $62 trillion to be traded through the market with absolutely no regulation or oversight. Warren Buffett called them “weapons of financial mass destruction.” So would you rather have a President who gets advice from Warren Buffett or would you rather have a President who got his advice from Phil Gramm, who called the economic mess a “mental problem?”

Funny Obama supporters are violating privacy rights for a ordinary American Joe because he asked Obama a question.
It seems that Jones-Kelly, a Democratic appointee and a Obama supporter and who is head of Ohio job and family services is responsible for violating the privacy information of Joe.
Another blunder by the Obama campaign.

Would you say it’s timing that KARL ROVE came on the scene about the same time Joe The Plumber started asking questions out of the blue. This race the GOP is running is full of trickery. The way I look at this race is that should I “Get use to the last eight years or change” I look at what big business have done: Saving and Loans, the big house bubble, more ENRONS,THE CHANGES IN MEDICAL PLANS AT WORK,GAS COMPANIES MAKING TRILLIONS,ALMOST NO ONE GOING TO JAIL FOR THEIR INVOLVEMENT IN CRIMES,COMPANIES GETTING TAX BREAKS TO SHIP JOBS OVER SEAS, A NEW TERM “OUTSOURCING”,….I THINK BIG BUSINESS HAVE HAD RECORD YEARS…, BUT! WHY ARE SO MANY PEOPLE LOSING THEIR HOME? WHY ARE RETIRED PEOPLE HAVING TO GO BACK TO WORK ? JOE THE PLUMBER “PLEASE SPEAK FOR YOURSELF” IT DOESN’T PERTAIN TO ME,MY FAMILY MEMBERS, MY FRIENDS,OR MY STATE!

Joe Is Right!

Can any Obama supporter explain why they think it is Ok for Joe’s privacy to be violated.
If Obama supporters think Joe should be punished for simply asking Obama a question.
Why is Joe privacy is violated for simply asking Obama a question when Obama came to his neighbourhood.
It is not that Joe set Obama up? Obama came to his neighbourhood for a photo opportunity.

Posted by: Greg h | October 29, 2008, 12:38 am 12:38 am

Greg h,
Please be clear that it was not the Obama camapign who went and looked through his records. If it’s anyone’s fault, it’s McCain’s for bringing it up this guy so many times in the debate, thus shining the media spotlight on him.
This Joe doesn’t even know what socialism and Marxism is but likes to throw around words like this for fear-mongering. Say Socialism and they think of the Soviet Union and Communist China and the Cold War.
Sheesh.

Who violated Joe’s privacy in the first place? It was McCain in front of 60 million viewers! Then Palin and he have talked incessantly about Joe at all their rallies. So if anyone has used Joe for their own agenda, it has been McCain and Palin. So all this outrage about his privacy from their supporters is a sham.

What’s spreading the wealth, Joe?
Spreading the wealth’s the big, bad government coming up and seizing your plumbing business, seizing your profits and nationalising your company under them. THAT’S SOCIALISM. The government coming up and seizing your wealth to distribute to everyone, THAT’S SOCIALISM.
NOT tax cuts and tax credits. You don’t even know what Marxism is. It means the state controls EVERYTHING too, and seizes all the upper-class’s property, estate and land and divides it up for everyone or takes state ownership of it. It means NO PRIVATIZATION.
Not just tax credits. Do you still have your house? The government hasn’t tried to annex your business? Congratulations, you’re not living in a socialist country.
I think, however, we will be on track to becoming a third world country if we let McCain anywhere near D.C to continue his cowboy foreign policy, messing up the already broken health care system, ridiculous tax cuts for everyone (with NO way to fund the federal govt.), and still wanting to spend 10 billion per month in Iraq.

Grey Matter ,
Joe’s records were illegally accessed in Ohio and his privacy violated.
Jones-Kelly, a Democratic appointee and Obama supporter allowed Joe’s records to be accessed.
Obama supporters do not like Joe but it does not mean that his privacy can be violated.

To Joe the plumber and the rest of the Republicans in here,
Socialism is where the government owns business. In our country big business has taken over our government. It’s still called Socialism. Supply-Side Economics (Trickle down theory of economics or Reagonomics) is the Economics of Socialism and Bush-McCain-Palin. What we now call Supply-Side Economics is Socialist Economics and has been throughout history. Every time in history when Supply-Side Economics has been adopted by a government, the government has fallen into ruin. Socialism is Big Business, wealth, assets, and power over the masses and government are in the hands of a few. We live in a socialist country. Thanks to the Patriot Acts 1 and 2. The Constitution is basically null and void.
History is repeating what the Republican’s did in the 1920′s and it lead to the depression of the 1930′s. The same Socialist Economics, the same types of investments now called derivatives and hedge funds (leveraged gambling). Commercial Banks and Investment Banks are again intermingling their financial activities, monopolistic big business and now monopolistic big media all these things lead to the great depression and our current financial crisis.
We fought the American Revolution with England to get away from Socialist Imperialism and taxation with out representation.
The Democrat’s lead us out of the great depression. It’s time for The Democrat’s to lead us out of this financial crisis. God and the rest of us know the Republican’s won’t restore our Democratic Republic.
Today McCain-Palin both said they embrace the great economic strategies of President Ronald Reagan. This is same old Socialist Supply-Side Economics of Reagan-Bush Sr. and Jr.-McCain-Palin. This is not real change people for the middle class and working poor. It is more of the same. McCain-Palin will destroy our country. We will become slaves of the very rich if McCain becomes our next resident. Vote Obama-Biden 08.

Posted by: James321 | October 29, 2008, 1:40 am 1:40 am

Yeah, and Obama says a lot of things that clearly are not reflective of what he truly believes. With the full support of the mainstream media he has thus far successfully disguised who he really is, just to get elected. It took Joe the Plumber to ask one simple question that the media, in 19 months of an Obama campaign, wouldn’t dare to ask.
We’ve finally learned more about who Barack Obama really is in the past two weeks, since Joe the Plumber’s question, than we had in the entire campaign prior! And, even so, Joe the Plumber has gotten more scrutiny from the mainstream media, in those same two weeks, than Barack Obama has gotten in the entire time he’s been campaigning!

Obama’s tax plan will benefit 99.9% of plumbers in the nation. Joe thinks the Democrats are going to ‘bring the death of Israel’. Come right up on stage Joe. Let’s give you a national platform right beside the Republican candidate for president.

The McCain/Palin, or more accurately, the Palin/McCain roadshow is beginning to look like a circus. All that is missing are the tent and the animals. Clowns there are plenty. With the addition of the new foreign affairs expert, Joe the plumber, the inmates are beginning to run the asylum. Can this crowd really be taken seriously? Are there not at least SOME Republicans that feel embarrassed?

Calling Democrats socialists or Marxists has been the Republican meme since 1910.
The Republicans said that our progressive tax system was “Marxist” in 1910. The Rebublicans said that FDR was a socialist when he enacted social security. They said JFK was a socialist when he passed Medicare and Medicaid.
McCain, if you accept his definition of socialism, was as socialistic as he claims Obama now is when he refused to support the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy in 2001. He said that were “irresponsible” and provided no relief for the middle class.
Can we toss “socialism and Marxism” on the increasingly large junk heap of McCain/Palin stunts. There’s room there next to Britney, Paris, suspending the campaign without suspending the campaign, and fake birth certificates.

You morons don’t even get it. First off, you don’t have to have a license to be a plumber if you are working for someone else. GET IT? Joe has been thrust into the limelight for simply asking a reputable question. I love the way the media has “looked” into this mans private life, and no one in the left wing radical media will do the same with Bill Ayers, a known terrorist. It’s simply amazing to me. I dont believe Obama will win, becuase the American people are smart enough to see his socialistic pattern and his future wants and desires for this country.
If he does get elected, I am going to seriously laugh at every single one of you kool-aid drinkers for ruining the most incredible, the most powerful, and the best country God has given to men and women.

You don’t have to wait to laugh at what has happened to our country. All you have to do is look at Bush and you will see exactly where we stand now and what you Republicans have done to ruin it almost to a point of ‘no return to fix it’ or at a minimum ‘put it back to where it was prior to Bush’! Get it????

Vote for a change for…Socialism.
Obama seems to be a product of the corrupt Democratic Machine in Chicago.
He says he wants change, but picks a
Washington insider as his running mate.
He is for raising the capital gains tax, discouraging investment.
He has no military experience, at least
Kennedy was in the Navy.
I still have no real idea why I should vote for Obama.

Posted by: Kenito | October 29, 2008, 12:21 pm 12:21 pm

Yeah, yeah. Blame Bush as always. That’s hilarious in itself. I don’t agree with everything Bush has done, but I love the way the left wing radicals blame him and only him. No, Clinton had NOTHING to do with it. Carter had NOTHING to do with it. That’s just absolutely incredible. I’ve been saying this for months. Obama has no chance of winning. I don’t care what the polls say. I don’t believe any of them. Obama will be lucky to win 3-7 states.

Posted by: Steven | October 29, 2008, 12:40 pm 12:40 pm

Oh one more thing:
This is the reason I Will Not Vote For Barack the Messiah!
All I can say is this…if the polls are correct, and Barack Obama wins the presidency, which I still do not believe will happen, then I have something to say….If we wake up on Nov 5th and Obama indeed wins, then Jesse Jackson will be celebrating, Reverend Wright will be celebrating, Father Pfleger will be celebrating, Al Sharpton will be celebrating, Lewis Farrakhan will be celebrating, Bill Ayers will be celebrating, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will be celebrating, and Rashid Khalidi will be celebrating.
I could go on and on. But the bottom line is this. If I truly believed and agreed with every one of Obama’s views on the issues, and I mean every single one… I STILL WOULDN’T VOTE FOR THIS MAN FOR ONE REASON. BECAUSE ALL THE PEOPLE THAT I’VE LISTED ABOVE WOULD BE CELEBRATING. AND THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH FOR ME NOT TO VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA. End of story

In his latest attempt to discredit Obama, McCain goofs by using someone that he also has ties to.
McCain’s Palestinian ties of his own
Posted October 29, 2008 11:15 AM
by Mark Silva
The McCain campaign, hoping to foment doubts about Barack Obama in the Jewish community, has complained that a newspaper has “suppressed” a videotape of Obama attending a dinner with Rashid Khalidi, an Arab studies scholar and advocate of Palestinian rights, back in 2003.
But “the latest guilt-by-association target that the McCain campaign is using to hit Barack Obama could carry some collateral damage for its own candidate,” the Huffington Post notes.
.
During the 1990s, while McCain served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), the group distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi.
A 1998 tax filing for the McCain-led group shows a $448,873 grant to Khalidi’s Center for Palestine Research and Studies for work in the West Bank, the Post notes. The relationship extends back as far as 1993, when McCain joined IRI as chairman.. Foreign Affairs noted in September of that year that IRI had helped fund several extensive studies in Palestine run by Khalidi’s group, including over 30 public opinion polls and a study of “sociopolitical attitudes.”

Joe the plummer sounds like he was Joe the bum until McCain planted him where he was how is it that he lived in Ariz.and Alaska thats strange consquences. Why is it that all Palin and McCain can come up with is this plummer, they have not had any kind of ideas for the economy. And McCain is always trying to tie Obama to some unscrupulous person but then it turns out they both have ties with the same people, he sound like he is losing his bearings.

he wouldn’t see his taxes go up in an Obama presidency, he’s not a (licensed) plumber, and his name’s not even joe.
i’m not really sure what the point of all this is.

Joe registers as a Republican and votes in the Republican primary.
Then he tells Obama he’s “undecided”.
Now he joins up with the McCain campaign and says Obama “scares” him.
In other words: Joe is a bald-headed bald-faced liar.
No wonder the pathologically lying Republican Party adores him.

I think its a crying shame when a man can’t ask a legitimate question and expect to get a reasonable answer, Without having his life history illegally checked out. And don’t tell me the Obama campaign didn’t have something to do with it. WAKE UP PEOPLE WE ARE LOSING OUR FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND OUR RIGHT TO PRIVACY AND OBAMA HASN’T WON THE ELECTION YET!!!!!

Posted by: saraht | October 30, 2008, 6:20 pm 6:20 pm

I couldn’t care less if it was a “plant.” That gives no one the right in this country to violate privacy. Interesting how the liberals screamed bloody murder that Bush tapped international calls from suspected terrorists, yet it’s okay that public agencies violated an American’s privacy because you don’t like the person’s politics. Just who are you people??? That’s pretty scary.
On another note, ye who think you’re going to be safe from Obama tax increases, can you say “Bill Clinton?” Is your memory THAT short? He campaigned on a middle class tax cut and NEVER GAVE IT in all the years he was there, through the good and bad years. He just couldn’t do it, no matter how hard he tried! Well, what was that Obama said about repealing the Bush tax cuts? How STUPID ARE YOU PEOPLE??? Your taxes will AUTOMATICALLY GO UP BY 1/3 if you are in the bottom tax bracket. BUSH gave the tax cut to the middle class. From 15% to 10% Yes, the people who pay more (always) got a bigger dollar amount cut, but that’s because they PAY more. They ALWAYS pay more. It’s called a progressive tax system. Some of your neighbors pay more in taxes than you MAKE. They don’t get any more benefit for it, but you still want MORE of their hard earned money. So, enjoy the repeal of the tax cut you received, and HOLD YOUR BREATH for the tax cut Obama promised. As I said, remember Clinton. He didn’t give it to you in the BEST of times … what makes you so gullible to think you will get it from Obama in the worst of times? Think people, THINK! I can afford a tax increase, (though I would prefer to spend the money in my community and help the local economy) but there are many people who cannot. It’s going to be a very sad day when people realize they were BS’d by BO!!!
