Obama Admits to Bumming Cigarettes on the Trail

Where are his health records? More than a single paragraph released by his dr. His mother died of cancer and he is a smoker (if you’re still bumming cigarettes you a smoker). Age doesn’t equate health!

John McCain looked like he was lost. Again.

I frown upon those who struggle with smoking. I think of them as being weak. However, I’m still supporting Obama for president.

Apparently you missed the truth on “not eating” and “exercsing correctly”… especially the not execercising part. You’re talking about a man who seems to hit the gym every day… do you do the same?

He’s been mocked for the fact that he eats very well (arugula, he had real trouble with the standard bill swill’n photo-ops, etc) and he exercises regularly, which should also help with the stress. Smoking is the only real negative on his health, and smoking is a cumulative risk. Smoking a couple cigs a week is statistically no where near as dangerous as a pack a day habit. So, his cutting back certainly does help his health.
And I think it should be noted if Obama dies, we have President Biden. Unlike the Republican ticket, the Democratic VP doesn’t appear dangerously uninformed in the exact religious decider mold of President Bush.

Why is this even newsworthy?
What’s with the crazies on here comparing an occasional cigarette to heroin use? Seriously? Are you people that desperate to find something wrong with Obama? So I guess that everyone that has ever smoked in the US = Heroin Addict. Great logic there.

McCain has had 4 cases of aggressive cancer and only allowed a handful of people to see a fraction of his medical history whom had little to no medical training and had no way of recording what they read or checking it out and their time to read the record was severely limited.
Obama however does seem to strive to eat healthy for the most part and exercises daily.

It is equivalent–if my recollection of Latin is accurate–to the Latin pronoun “iste,” which is a demonstrative pronoun like “this,” but with a negative sense (so Cicero would refer to someone he thought was bad for the state as “iste”). As for “honey” and “sweetie,” try this experiment: call your loved one “sweetie,” then try “that one” and see which he or she likes better. You people needed to pay more attention in your English classes.

McCain had to escape the stage immediately after the debate for health reasons.
Obama stayed on for almost 20 minutes to chat with the audience of 80+, sign autographs and take pictures.
Like I already said before McCain is a very sick man who will die in office if elected.
McCain apparently had a dizzy spell three days ago and almost collapsed, but was caught by one of his FBI Security details.
Investigations are underway, trying to force McCain to release his latest medical records.
McCain has either developed prostate cancer or his skin cancer is back.
If any of this is true McCain has less than 3 years to live. And don’t talk to me about his mother because she does not have cancer.
At what ages did McCain’s father and grandfather die again?
Just think about it for a moment my friends.

Smoking is an ADDICTION, and clinically proven to be harder to kick than heroin. Those who equate smoking with character need to be educated about just how difficult it is for most people to quit. I smoked for almost 20 years, quitting and returning multiple times. In every other way I was the picture of perfect health: I exercised, always ate well, etc., but I just couldn’t kick the habit. The only thing that got me to quick for good was coming down with hereditary cancer — and it wasn’t even until it metastasized into my lungs before I finally was able to kick it for good. And, I still want to smoke now and then — though I ignore the urge and it passes. I don’t have cancer in my lungs anymore, thank god, but I tell this story to try to illustrate just how difficult it is to quit. Of course Obama should quit for good, but keep in mind he is struggling just as a heroin junkie struggles while coming off the physical dependency. He is going through probably the most trying time in his life, and deserves some slack for not being a perfect non-smoker. As a final adage, when I was first diagnosed with cancer, my docs. told me not to worry about quitting just yet, as the stress of going through initial stages of cancer treatment are too stressful to add quitting on top of it. This is what doctors commonly tell people when they are under a lot of duress — it is best to quit when other life stresses aren’t too overwhelming. For those of you who define people by whether or not they smoke: start worrying about your own weaknesses and stop making assertions based on your own ignorant views about addiction. Thank you.
