Obama Radio Ad in Wisconsin Hits McCain for Slamming Milwaukee
Earlier this month, a Milwaukee, Wisc., radio host — John Jagler, of 620 AM WTMJ — found a 2004 Washington Post story by Mark Leibovich (now with the Times) in which McCain is described as having said he would "hate to live in Milwaukee."
Jagler blogged about it, talked about it on air, had Leibovich on the show to chat about it.
And now the Obama camp has launched a radio ad featuring a local labor leader named Steve Cagle saying:
"Hi. This is Steve Cagel. You know, the other day I heard something outrageous. John McCain actually said in an interview with the Washington Post that he would, and I quote, ‘hate to live in Milwaukee.’ Hate to live in Milwaukee? Home of the Harley Davidson, Kopps custard and the Brewers? Well, this is the same John McCain who’s called laws making the federal government buy American-made products – quote – disgraceful. The same McCain who is going to keep giving tax breaks to companies that ship our jobs overseas. And the same John McCain who owns seven homes scattered around the country. Hey, I own just one, and I’m proud to be born and raised here in Milwaukee. So when John McCain says he’d hate to live in Milwaukee, I say, it’d be worse to see him live in the White House. We just can’t afford John McCain."

Really?
I look at the rise of right wing radio combined with media consolidation to be quite dangerous.
I’m fine with many media outlets playing with whatever they want. But when the landscape is dominated by a handful of companies, I think the concept of equal time is valuable.

It was ridiculed by 0bama, brushed aside by congressional leaders because they wanted to support and select Zero who pushed Bush’s money giveaways. And your problem is???!!! Don’t understand that it is ok to bring up something that had nothing to do with Obama (Ayers) he was 8 years old, but it is not ok for Obama to fight back. I’m glad he is fighting back. The fact that McCain’s great great grandfather own slaves in Carrollton, MS in the 1800s (City still there with McCain street signs, store, plantation, old house) does that make McCain racist and a slave owner for something he had nothing to do? Maybe, but will you say McCain still has slaves working for him him or McCain believes in slavery, and he needs to disown his family and his “country” for what his family did!
Don’t understand why it is ok to give a tax break to the rich, but to speak of giving a tax cut to the middle class is something that is wrong. I’m tried of these CEOs living off of my money more than I can. I can’t afford to foot the bill for them.

Fairness Doctrine
It does not take away anyones right to speak, including conservative radio talk shows. Most people do not know that two companies own most of the radio stations in America and the fairness doctrine is designed to force stations to present both sides of the issue. This doctrine was in place for many, many years until recently. I am not sure why conservatives are against having this doctrine inforced once more. It’s not going to force anyone to go off the air, all it is doing is forcing over-the-air station to allow opposing sides to be able to voice their opinions. Right now almost 90% of radio stations are controlled by the RIGHT. Why is the right so worried about having other opinions presented?

The study is believed to represent only a fraction of abuse actually committed in trooper jurisdiction. Still, Alaska has had the nation’s highest per capita occurrence since 1995. According to statewide figures for 2003 and 2004 alone, there were 89 rapes per 100,000 people, almost three times the national average of 32 per 100,000, said Andre Rosay, the Justice Center’s interim director.

Too many in the Republican party these days focus so much energy in issues that do not matter to the country as a whole country, your parents should be your morals and values leaders, your grandparents should be your morals and values leaders and also your churches…but not politicians.
