Palin Again Chides Biden’s ‘Crisis’ Comments

For the second day, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin critiqued vice presidential rival Sen. Joe Biden for saying at a private fundraiser this weekend that Sen. Barack Obama would be tested by a major international crisis in his first six months in office.

“He guaranteed that if Barack Obama is elected, we’ll face an international crisis within the first six months of their administration,” Palin told a rally in Findlay, Ohio this morning. “He told Democrat donors to mark my words, he said, that there were at least four, five scenarios that would place our country at risk in an Obama administration. I guess we gotta say first, thanks for the warning, Joe.”

While Obama today dismissed Biden’s remarks as “rhetorical flourishes,” Palin cited comments by former Secretary of State Madeline Albright on CNN yesterday backing Biden’s remarks as a "statement of fact."

“In case you are thinking then, well that’s just another case of Joe getting carried away at the podium, and no because we also heard then from former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright,” Palin said. “She was asked if it was true should we expect an international crisis with an untested man, Barack Obama, in the White House and she said, well she quotes I think it is just a statement of fact.”

Palin said Biden “didn’t specify what all those four, five scenarios would be, but for clues, let’s review the Obama foreign policy agenda,” before listing Obama meeting with dictators without preconditions, sending troops into Pakistan without their permission, failure in Iraq caused by an early withdrawal of American troops, and a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine as possible crises that would develop under an Obama administration.

Biden had in fact mentioned several scenarios that may test Obama as president during his first months in office, mentioning the Korean peninsula and the Afghanistan-Pakistan border as possible hotspots in addition to the Middle East and Russia.

“So there’s gonna be some tough decisions,” Biden said at the Seattle fundraiser on Sunday. “They may emanate from the Middle East. They may emanate from the sub-continent. They may emanate from Russia’s newly-emboldened position because they’re floating in a sea of oil.”

As part of her criticism of the crises she says Obama would invite, Palin cited cross-border raids into Pakistan, saying "Senator Obama also has advocated sending our U.S. military into Pakistan without the approval of the Pakistani government. Invading the sovereign territory of a troubled partner in the war against terrorism – need to call that scenario number two.”

Last month, Palin made similar comments when asked by a voter in Philadelphia whether she would support cross-border raids into Pakistan, saying “If that’s what we have to do stop the terrorists from coming any further in, absolutely, we should.” She did not explicitly say she would support such raids without Pakistan’s permission. Her running mate Sen. John McCain has said in interviews since Palin’s remarks that she would not support such actions.

Seems that Jesse Jackson knows of such a crisis as he said that Isreal is doomed with Obama as president.

Obama says he will raise Joe the Plumber’s taxes and “spread the wealth around.”
Biden says Obama’s election will put the nation’s security at risk because he is inexperienced and untested.
What more do voters need to reject Obama? Why vote in another crisis?

Obama is another crisis!
It seems that Miss Angie thinks that Sarah Palin is an “airhead”.
Well Angie, show us your resume’. What makes your precious opinion matter? What have you done to become the authority of airheads? Or is it that you are the typical hate spewing liberal just doing your best to silence everything you disagree with. You must just hate the Constitution don’t you.

————————
How about an accurate account of what Obama said he will do for “Joe the Plumber” to start.
His taxes will go DOWN under Obama’s plan. Get it? The guy will get a TAX CUT.
And as far as a “crisis”.
McCain would have to “suspend” all govenmrnt is ANY crisis apparently, just like he “suspended” his entire campaign just to make a simple vote.
And even then, his own party didn’t follow his lead. Pretty pathetic.
We don’t need another knee-jerk reactionary in the White House.
And what executive experience does McCain have anyway? HINT: The answer is NONE.

Just the same old stuff from the Republicans, more Obama/Biden bashing and creating mountains out of molehills. They are running scared. This is the reason they are losing. They continue to bash the opposition instead of addressing the people’s needs. Keep it up! Can’t wait for Obama to win the election!

I’m sorry, but Biden said that electing Obama would spur an “internal crisis” because nation’s would want to test him. That’s just plain scary. And Obama agreed that the next President will indeed face an international crisis.
Thankfully, McCain disagrees. That’s reassuring.
I was leaning towards Obama for a couple of weeks, but I just don’t think the nation can afford another crisis, certainly not another war. Je Biden said to “mark his words.” Well, I will Mr. Biden. Thank you for your honesty.

“Life, Liberty , Pursuit of Happiness…whenever a government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it.”
Is that “REAL AMERICAN” enough for Ms Palin?
Our government HAS become destructive to these ends and we ARE going to alter it by changing our leadership.
Time to end the chapter on neo-con cronyism and neo-facist ideology.

The Haaretz Article, Top Iran officials recommend preemptive strike against Israel, has triggered the need to repost an article that I wrote some time ago about a dream I had when Iran was testing their missiles. I light of Sen. Biden’s recent remarks that Obama would be tested by our enemies, I ask the question, “What would Obama do?”

I commend this blog for at least printing Gov. Palin’s exact statements. While many media outlets twist her every word to try to create a “potatoe” moment, here at least we allow the reader to interpret her exact words–that’s all that a fair and objective viewer can ask of a media outlet.
Thanks for the forum.

I am convinced that Republican criticism of “elitism” and such are simply because they are not getting the big words.
How can any of you – ANY of you – look at yourselves in the mirror and honestly say to yourself that you feel that this silly and unqualified woman is prepared for anything, other than spending too much of the TAXPAYERS’ money for clothes, and her own state’s citizens’ money for her family’s travel, and then lie about it, to boot? Why, she even holds the same viewpoint as Obama when it comes to invading Pakistan – she’s said it, and now, they are simply trying to cover that up, so she has something to criticize.
Honestly, she is ridiculous, and as is being said in other comments (and anyone with an ounce of sense knows), the new president will have to deal with MANY issues – nope, that really isn’t news that can be refuted. D’oh.

The rhetorical flourish…um, I mean hyperbole…um, I mean (what is it that you non-elite, barely literates call it? I will look for a neo conservative Thesaurus). The statement that Joe Biden made had everything to do with the times in which we live. He was simply expressing confidence in Obama’s steady hand and thoughtful skill, with which Senator Obama is very capable of handling any crisis that faces our great nation.

Needless to say, Biden’s comments were idiotic. I think we know why he is running second on this ticket. But having Palin deliver this message shows how strategically stupid the McCain campaign is as well. If we buy the argument that our enemies are bound to test an inexperienced President, who isn’t watching Palin and saying to themselves ‘Then we really better hope you don’t become President.’
And If I were to try to clarify Biden’s comments, I would say that it is a good thing; Obama is under no delusion that our enemies aren’t going to test a new President and with that perspective, we should be reassured that he is prepared to take decisive action if a crisis does arise even shortly after he takes office.

Why do neoconservatives call a Republican tax reduction ‘genius’, but a Democratic tax reduction, a cut for all of us who write these posts, is considered ‘stealing’, or socialism?
Obama will let the tax cuts effected by Bush expire for the rich; i.e. those whose NET, ADJUSTED, TAXABLE (AFTER EXEMPTIONS)INCOME IS $250K. He will repeal those cuts. The average Joe (or is it Samuel?), plumbing license or not, will KEEP the Bush tax cuts. Going from protecting the greedy, to a more equitable (fairer, for non-elitists) plan. It is we who see our hundreds of thousands of sons and daughters go to war, usually to protect us…or to protect Bushies and other oil-greedy, power hungry, trickle-downers. It is we who fill the offices, factories, plants, small businesses, and farms of this country by the million to get the jobs done. It is we who have seen our earnings stagnate during the last eight years while the rich got richer. And it is we who are bailing out the avaricious (greedy) fools who brought our economy to its knees.
I am a small business man for Obama-Biden. Without a prosperous economy, my business stinks. During the Clinton years, I made a ton of money and gladly paid my taxes, and was able to invest my savings. the money I made in the stock market more than offset any taxes I had paid; but I was still making under $250K/year. The Democratic fiscal policy under Bill Clinton allowed me to open 2 new stores, creating around 10 more jobs also. Since Bush and Katrina, everything has gone to hell.

The politics of intimidation is alive and well, particularly in the way primary caucus’ work. It has been my opinion that Obama is the democratic candidate because of the intimidation and inaccurate representation of Obama in the primary caucus environment. By definition a caucus is not a secret vote. For states choosing to utilize a caucus as a way of choosing a candidate, they have to trust the smoke-filled atmosphere and risk getting a candidate which is “out of sync” with the rest of the populace.
I believe that happened this last year with Obama winning 12 of the 13 democratic caucus’ but losing to Hillary 21-18 in the primaries held by secret ballot. That may have gained him the nomination but when the real voters once again come out on November the and mau-mau* politics has to stay outside the secret ballot booth.

Iran and Ahmadinejad will be important to Obama if there will be an international crises, testing the new president, and what Joe Bidenwas saying.Obama is not going to face the crises, but will make an alliance with Ah madinejad. This will be somekind of a deal like Obama’s Cousin Odinga in Kenya made With the 57 Islamic states. So america may become a part of the Islamic states. We are heading in that direction with Obama,a Marxist Islamic America.Islam will be the new power, will rule the World. And our old allies will be our new enemies.Joe Biden say we may not like this kind of changes, but it will be shoved down our trouths.

both parties are guilty of everything they throw at each other. THEY ARE ONE IN THE SAME !!!!!!! each side wants to grow the government, it may be for somewhat different reasons, but it doesn’t change the common denominator

its time for the people to stand up for change and demand more from our representatives. As if either candidate cares what repercussions their actions have on us.

If the bias-pro, Obama, media is going to quote candidates, let’s check out the others quotes, as well, for example:
QUOTE: “Biden, Obama is not ready for the job of President.”
QUOTE: “Hillary, Obama lacks the needed skills for the most demanding job on earth, the Presidency, and is woefully lacking in experience.”
And there are more that the bias media wants to forget…

The best quote of all is Jesse Jackson’s:
QUOTE: “Jesse Jackson: I would like to cut Obama’s nxxts off.”
You got to love a man like JJ, as he can say it all in just a few words.

Is love blind? There is no doubt, for all you Obama followers. You tend to ignore all the facts about the guy. From his blatant lack of experience to his radical leftist views and ties, you are totally blind or don’t care what happens to our country. Oh, sorry, I guess I left out those of you that are also of the radical left persuasion.
If Barack Hussein Obama gets in the White House, it will cost the taxpayers an absolute fortune, plus our freedom, to put the extra “S” in all those presidential seals. Just in case you don’t get it, the country will, for all practical purposes, be renamed the USSA. If you still don’t get it, the extra “S” stands for Socialist. In one fell swoop, our two party system would become irrelevant, and government would become the owner of our people instead of our people owners of the government.
The media says that we are all concerned about the economy, the war, illegal immigration and taxes. The answer to all the woes we have is reform, reform, reform. Vote out the corruption, hate mongers, and self serving politicians. Let McCain and Palin get the ones we can’t vote out.

Posted by: Dave Mathews | October 22, 2008, 7:15 pm 7:15 pm

If Barack Hussein Obama gets elected president and we are attacked, Obama will help our enemies. Remember that, like his mentors, friends and relatives (mother, father and counsins), Obama is a Marxist. As such, he hates the U.S. and will help our enemies.
Let us not forget that Obama used his elected office—and taxpayers’ dollars—to support his relative Odinga, “Your Agent for Change,” a violent Marxist thug who made a pact with the Muslims to institute sharia (Islamic law). Odinga’s followers killed more than 1000 people and burned 800 Christian churches, including one with 50 people, many of them children inside. By supporting Odinga, Obama contributed to the massacre. The mainstream media is criminally hiding these facts.

You are right, reddog0216. It seems many Americans are just as clueless as the most ignorant Venezuelans, Bolivians and Ecuadorians who believed in CHANGE and YES WE CAN. Now they see that CHANGE means change toward Marxism and greater poverty and corruption. And YES WE CAN means Marxists like Obama, Odinga, Castro, Chávez, and other Marxists CAN fool people.

Holy cow! You can be sure of one thing: we are terrified of socialism. If its one thing we can’t understand it’s people working together toward abstract social goals. Just give us the simple corporate greed, we can understand motives like that. And all this talk of Obama being a closet muslim is really scary. They might try to take over part of the country like the Mormons did. Heck they practically still rule Utah! We feel we can speak for all of our cowardly conservative friends when we say it’s just best to vote the Republicans back in and then grab our ankles for four more years. We’re just too scared to do anything else!

Biden forgot to mention one of the more likely scenarios.
Emboldened by new donor money and a new US administration, Georgia’s president Slobodan Saakashvili, will launch another surprise blitzkrieg rocket attack on South Ossetia’s sleeping civilians in hopes that this time he can bring the secessionist region under control.
After all, with friends like us, what does he have to lose?

Biden dares tell us to gird our loins! Who does he think he is Moses? That’s Passover language for those who don’t recognize it. That’s more than 2000 years old. What’s wrong with Biden using that kind of language to communicate in the 21st century? I can scarcely imagine what the press would have said if Sarah Palin had told an audience to gird their loins. Obama picked this guy instead of Hillary. Biden is scary. Obama deserves to lose if for no other reason than he picked Joe for VP alone. No Joe JOBS is not a three letter word and FDR did not get on television in 1929. Here’s the new way to spell scary: BIDEN

Planting Seeds of Disaster
ACORN, Barack Obama, and the Democratic party.
By Stanley Kurtz, Senior Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Institute
‘You’ve got only a couple thousand bucks in the bank. Your job pays you dog-food wages. Your credit history has been bent, stapled, and mutilated. You declared bankruptcy in 1989. Don’t despair: You can still buy a house.” So began an April 1995 article in the Chicago Sun-Times that went on to direct prospective home-buyers fitting this profile to a group of far-left “community organizers” called ACORN, for assistance. In retrospect, of course, encouraging customers like this to buy homes seems little short of madness.
Militant ACORN
At the time, however, that 1995 Chicago newspaper article represented something of a triumph for Barack Obama. That same year, as a director at Chicago’s Woods Fund, Obama was successfully pushing for a major expansion of assistance to ACORN, and sending still more money ACORN’s way from his post as board chair of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Through both funding and personal-leadership training, Obama supported ACORN. And ACORN, far more than we’ve recognized up to now, had a major role in precipitating the subprime crisis.
I’ve already told the story of Obama’s close ties to ACORN leader Madeline Talbott, who personally led Chicago ACORN’s campaign to intimidate banks into making high-risk loans to low-credit customers. Using provisions of a 1977 law called the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Chicago ACORN was able to delay and halt the efforts of banks to merge or expand until they had agreed to lower their credit standards — and to fill ACORN’s coffers to finance “counseling” operations like the one touted in that Sun-Times article. This much we’ve known. Yet these local, CRA-based pressure-campaigns fit into a broader, more disturbing, and still under-appreciated national picture. Far more than we’ve recognized, ACORN’s local, CRA-enabled pressure tactics served to entangle the financial system as a whole in the subprime mess. ACORN was no side-show. On the contrary, using CRA and ties to sympathetic congressional Democrats, ACORN succeeded in drawing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into the very policies that led to the current disaster.
In one of the first book-length scholarly studies of ACORN, Organizing Urban America, Rutgers University political scientist Heidi Swarts describes this group, so dear to Barack Obama, as “oppositional outlaws.” Swarts, a strong supporter of ACORN, has no qualms about stating that its members think of themselves as “militants unafraid to confront the powers that be.” “This identity as a uniquely militant organization,” says Swarts, “is reinforced by contentious action.” ACORN protesters will break into private offices, show up at a banker’s home to intimidate his family, or pour protesters into bank lobbies to scare away customers, all in an effort to force a lowering of credit standards for poor and minority customers. According to Swarts, long-term ACORN organizers “tend to see the organization as a solitary vanguard of principled leftists…the only truly radical community organization.”
ACORN’s Inside Strategy
Yet ACORN’s entirely deserved reputation for militance is balanced by its less-well-known “inside strategy.” ACORN has long employed Washington-based lobbyists who understand very well how the legislative game is played. ACORN’s national lobbyists may encourage and benefit from the militant tactics of their base, but in the halls of congress they play the game with smooth sophistication. The untold story of ACORN’s central role in the financial meltdown is about the one-two punch to the banking system administered by this outside/inside strategy.
Critics of the notion that CRA had a major impact on the subprime crisis ask how a law passed in 1977 could have caused a crisis in 2008? The answer has a lot to do with ACORN — and the critical years of 1990-1995. While the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act did call on banks to increase lending in poor and minority neighborhoods, its exact requirements were vague, and therefore open to a good deal of regulatory interpretation. Banks merger or expansion plans were rarely held up under CRA until the late 1980s, when ACORN perfected its technique of filing CRA complaints in tandem with the sort of intimidation tactics perfected by that original “community organizer” (and Obama idol), Saul Alinsky.
At first, ACORN’s anti-bank actions were relatively few in number. However, under a provision of the 1989 savings and loan bailout pushed by liberal Democratic legislators, like Massachusetts Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy, lenders were required to compile public records of mortgage applicants by race, gender, and income. Although the statistics produced by these studies were presented in highly misleading ways, groups like ACORN were able to use them to embarrass banks into lowering credit standards. At the same time, a wave of banking mergers in the early 1990′s provided an opening for ACORN to use CRA to force lending changes. Any merger could be blocked under CRA, and once ACORN began systematically filing protests over minority lending, a formerly toothless set of regulations began to bite.
ACORN’s efforts to undermine credit standards in the late 1980s taught it a valuable lesson. However much pressure ACORN put on banks to lower credit standards, tough requirements in the “secondary market” run by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac served as a barrier to change. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac buy up mortgages en masse, bundle them, and sell them to investors on the world market. Back then, Fannie and Freddie refused to buy loans that failed to meet high credit standards. If, for example, a local bank buckled to ACORN pressure and agreed to offer poor or minority applicants a 5-percent down-payment rate, instead of the normal 10-20 percent, Fannie and Freddie would refuse to buy up those mortgages. That would leave all the risk of these shaky loans with the local bank. So again and again, local banks would tell ACORN that, because of standards imposed by Fannie and Freddie, they could lower their credit standards by only a little.
So the eighties taught ACORN that a high-pressure, Alinskyite outside strategy wouldn’t be enough. Their Washington lobbyists would have to bring inside pressure on the government to undercut credit standards at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Only then would local banks consider making loans available to customers with bad credit histories, low wages, virtually nothing in the bank, and even bankruptcies on record.
Democrats and ACORN
As early as 1987, ACORN began pressuring Fannie and Freddie to review their standards, with modest results. By 1989, ACORN had lured Fannie Mae into the first of many “pilot projects” designed to help local banks lower credit standards. But it was all small potatoes until the serious pressure began in early 1991. At that point, Democratic Senator Allan Dixon convened a Senate subcommittee hearing at which an ACORN representative gave key testimony. It’s probably not a coincidence that Dixon, like Obama, was an Illinois Democrat, since Chicago has long been a stronghold of ACORN influence.
Dixon gave credibility to ACORN’s accusations of loan bias, although these claims of racism were disputed by Missouri Republican, Christopher Bond. ACORN’s spokesman strenuously complained that his organization’s efforts to relax local credit standards were being blocked by requirements set by the secondary market. Dixon responded by pressing Fannie and Freddie to do more to relax those standards — and by promising to introduce legislation that would ensure it. At this early stage, Fannie and Freddie walked a fine line between promising to do more, while protesting any wholesale reduction of credit requirements.
By July of 1991, ACORN’s legislative campaign began to bear fruit. As the Chicago Tribune put it, “Housing activists have been pushing hard to improve housing for the poor by extracting greater financial support from the country’s two highly profitable secondary mortgage-market companies. Thanks to the help of sympathetic lawmakers, it appeared…that they may succeed.” The Tribune went on to explain that House Democrat Henry Gonzales had announced that Fannie and Freddie had agreed to commit $3.5 billion to low-income housing in 1992 and 1993, in addition to a just-announced $10 billion “affordable housing loan program” by Fannie Mae. The article emphasizes ACORN pressure and notes that Fannie and Freddie had been fighting against the plan as recently as a week before agreement was reached. Fannie and Freddie gave in only to stave off even more restrictive legislation floated by congressional Democrats.
A mere month later, ACORN Housing Corporation president, George Butts made news by complaining to a House Banking subcommittee that ACORN’s efforts to pressure banks using CRA were still being hamstrung by Fannie and Freddie. Butts also demanded still more data on the race, gender, and income of loan applicants. Many news reports over the ensuing months point to ACORN as the key source of pressure on congress for a further reduction of credit standards at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. As a result of this pressure, ACORN was eventually permitted to redraft many of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s loan guideline.
Clinton and ACORN
ACORN’s progress through 1992 depended on its Democratic allies. Whatever ACORN managed to squeeze out of the George H. W. Bush administration came under congressional pressure. With the advent of the Clinton administration, however, ACORN’s fortunes took a positive turn. Clinton Housing Secretary Henry Cisnersos pledged to meet monthly with ACORN representatives. For ACORN, those meetings bore fruit.
Another factor working in ACORN’s favor was that its increasing success with local banks turned those banks into allies in the battle with Fannie and Freddie. Precisely because ACORN’s local pressure tactics were working, banks themselves now wanted Fannie and Freddie to loosen their standards still further, so as to buy up still more of the high-risk loans they’d made at ACORN’s insistence. So by the 1993, a grand alliance of ACORN, national Democrats, and local bankers looking for someone to lessen the risks imposed on them by CRA and ACORN were uniting to pressure Fannie and Freddie to loosen credit standards still further.
At this point, both ACORN and the Clinton administration were working together to impose large numerical targets or “set asides” (really a sort of poor and minority loan quota system) on Fannie and Freddie. ACORN called for at least half of Fannie and Freddie loans to go to low-income customers. At first the Clinton administration offered a set-aside of 30 percent. But eventually ACORN got what it wanted. In early 1994, the Clinton administration floated plans for committing $1 trillion in loans to low- and moderate-income home-buyers, which would amount to about half of Fannie Mae’s business by the end of the decade. Wall Street Analysts attributed Fannie Mae’s willingness to go along with the change to the need to protect itself against still more severe “congressional attack.” News reports also highlighted praise for the change from ACORN’s head lobbyist, Deepak Bhargava.
This sweeping debasement of credit standards was touted by Fannie Mae’s chairman, chief executive officer, and now prominent Obama adviser James A. Johnson. This is also the period when Fannie Mae ramped up its pilot programs and local partnerships with ACORN, all of which became precedents and models for the pattern of risky subprime mortgages at the root of today’s crisis. During these years, Obama’s Chicago ACORN ally, Madeline Talbott, was at the forefront of participation in those pilot programs, and her activities were consistently supported by Obama through both foundation funding and personal leadership training for her top organizers.
Finally, in June of 1995, President Clinton, Vice President Gore, and Secretary Cisneros announced the administration’s comprehensive new strategy for raising home-ownership in America to an all-time high. Representatives from ACORN were guests of honor at the ceremony. In his remarks, Clinton emphasized that: “Out homeownership strategy will not cost the taxpayers one extra cent. It will not require legislation.” Clinton meant that informal partnerships between Fannie and Freddie and groups like ACORN would make mortgages available to customers “who have historically been excluded from homeownership.”
Disaster
In the end of course, Clinton’s plan cost taxpayers an almost unimaginable amount of money. And it was just around the time of his 1995 announcement that the Chicago papers started encouraging bad-credit customers with “dog-food” wages, little money in the bank, and even histories of bankruptcy to apply for home loans with the help of ACORN. At both the local and national levels, then, ACORN served as the critical catalyst, levering pressure created by the Community Reinvestment Act and pull with Democratic politicians to force Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into a pattern of high-risk loans.
Up to now, conventional wisdom on the financial meltdown has relegated ACORN and the CRA to bit parts. The real problem, we’ve been told, lay with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. In fact, however, ACORN is at the base of the whole mess. ACORN used CRA and Democratic sympathizers to entangle Fannie and Freddie and the entire financial system in a disastrous disregard of the most basic financial standards. And Barack Obama cut his teeth as an organizer and politician backing up ACORN’s economic madness every step of the way.

Palin is a breath of fresh air. I’d like nothing more than to see her as a presidential candidate in the next election. How can anyone say that Obama is qualified to be president when even Palin is far more qualified. Yet, the left says she isn’t capable of being vice-president.

Here is the quote as reported by Jake Tapper is ABC News’ Senior National Correspondent:
**
As Palin was glad handling, a man named Michael Rovito, wearing a Temple University t-shirt, approached Palin
“How about the Pakistan situation?” he asked her. “What’s your thoughts about that.”
“In Pakistan?” she asked.
“What’s going on over there,” Rovito said, “like Waziristian?”
“It’s working with Zardari to make sure that we’re all working together to stop the guys from coming in over the border,” Palin responded. “And we’ll go from there.”
“Waziristan is blowing up!” exclaimed Rovito.
“Yeah it is,” said Palin, “and the economy there is blowing up too.”
“So we do cross the border,” he asked, “like from Afghanistan to Pakistan, you think?”
“If that’s what we have to do stop the terrorists from coming any further in,” she said, “absolutely, we should.”

Same ol’ – same ol’ from the McCain campaign. You’d think the McCain campaign would have learned by now that the strategy of distraction (and trying to make ‘mountains out of molehills’) just isn’t working for the McCain campaign. Now, with Sarah’s most recent scandal (regarding her kids and their friends flying ‘free’ [at government expense]), well…let’s have Sara explain herself, her scandals, for a change. At least that would be an interesting new distraction.

I would trust Obama in any situation before I would trust McCain. McCain and Palin both go with gut instinct and believe they already know the answers. And what is McCain and Palin going to gather international support for the gut reaction decisions? They have divided America and they will divide the world by continuing Bush’s “you’re with us or against us” policies.

What a relief to see the beginning of the end of the Obama craze. It was much shorter lived than the hula hoop but vastly more dangerous. As a senior analyst for the Economist recently stated, Obama being elected would “lead to the destruction of America”. But alas, there will be a price for his upcoming defeat, just ask anyone who leaves near any American inner-city after the ashes of the riots/tantrums clear when con man loses.

I’ll make this short and sweet. Their crying about ” 6 months” Palin & McCain. How out of touch they are when we have been going through it for eight long years. Then they talk about Palin being 6 years old when Biden got on the Senate. If we don’t watch it somebody is going to add another 6 from somewhere. McCain said if he wins he will freeze government spending , I wonder will that be the next 6…months or years. Well, you never know, our jobs are already gone out of the country, then the government jobs will be gone. Get ready here they come. Homes won’t only be lost, war won’t only be going on, more jobs won’t only be lost, but as you probably saw Obama on the food stamps we will probably be carrying food stamps, I don’t know. Our 401k’s are being taken. our home values are knocked down, and our banks are failing. WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON NOW! All they can come up with as an excuse not to vote for Obama (among other things) is to say that we will go through 6 months testing. Come on now! McCain said “boastfully”
I been through the test…yes lord…look at this “MESS”. Now put him in the White House, and you’ll know who was the best. “Palin” its not time for Joe 6 packs and hockey games, you’re running for Vice-President and this is no game! What we see happening now is really a shame. To see our fellow Americans go through so much pain. Then they try to make it a terrorist or a black and white thing, people are not fooled.. their tired of holding on to their little “change”.

Please tell Mrs. Abuse of Power to please go home. This lady has no honor or integrity!! And she was guilty as could be in Alaska!! Now we wait to see if second troopergate investigation is honest. Legislative investigation was totally bipartisan and fair. Ethics Board is appointed by Sarah Palin. Her attorney General is appointed by her and lives in Wasilla. Bias for supporting Sarah Palin is quite possible. Political corruption is still rampant in Alaska. FBI is still there trying to investigate and clean Alaska government up. Alaska Government is not involved in investigating – they are being investigated themselves. Big huge difference!!! Sure wasn’t Sarah Palin cleaning government up!!

Sharonklim sounds like one of those poor leftist ill informed NBC watchers that don’t have a clue of what’s really happening. She might wake up, if her ex son-in-law was a useless piece of garbage or the Dems attack machine was out to cannibalize her.
People aren’t stupid and approval rating is a oretty good indicator of Sarah’s honor or integrity.
