You radicalibs need to show a little respect for the governor!
She may not know what the Bush Doctrine is (that the U.S. has a right to preemptively strike, as we supposedly did in Iraq), but she sure knows the Palin codicil to the First Amendment, which states:
Thou (elite, liberal, gotcha, "not pro-America" media) shall not disparage, denigrate nor criticize the proclamations of any evangelical Republican candidate regarding an opponent.
If that sounds more like a commandment than an amendment, you're right. Any faithful, far-right, evangelical and respectable Republican would recognize it immediately as the 11th Commandment. The 12th says that, while our government may not declare an official religion:
Thou (evangelical Republican candidate) shall covertly impose thine own interpretation of Christian values on all citizens regardless of their own religion, whether or not they consent.

Having read the above comments I think that Palin is a either dumb-headed political cowgirl ready to shoot up the town or a pitiful bubble-headed Barbie uttering inanities--probably more the latter. I think it's great that the Republicans want her to run for president in 2012. They are sure to lose to Obama (assuming he wins the election tomorrow). Why is it that the Republicans have to support the most mediocre of politicians? Do they think we are a bunch of dopes?

As a conservative there is NO WAY I can vote for McCain. Palin thinks man walked with dinosaurs! What does she have against science and fact? She is too far right and is the product of sean/rush/billo in that she represents the far right of the dead Republican Party. McCain embraced the very folks who defeated him in 2000...the traitor Rove!

Not that anyone will pay any attention, I figured I should comment on the actual topic.
What Rodger is referring to is known as a 'chilling effect', the idea that people will be unwilling to speak up if they will be subjected to some sort of backlash. She has a point, but only a small one.
The point she is forgetting is that no one is preventing her, or Joe the Plumber, or Rodger from speaking their mind. But by stepping onto the public stage, that means they will be subjected to incredible scrutiny. Joe the Plumber stepped out and the spotlight was turned on him, if the glare is too bright, maybe he shouldn't have come out.
Some actors and other celebrities quit their chosen profession because they can't stand the spotlight. Its the price of fame.
Bob the Plumber shouldn't have any complaints though, along with his 15 minutes of fame comes the chance to make some money, and a story he can tell his grand kids.
The other side of this coin is the question of what she would have the media do? Nothing? How is that doing their job?
The answer to free speech is more free speech. Both sides get to speak their mind. And both sides get to call the others liars. That's how this works.
The thing with Ayers is silly (Obama was maybe 8 years old when this supposed link occurred). Rev. Wright is a jerk and Obama has denounced the reverend's more radical views - besides guilt by association links McCain to Ann Coulter, quite possibly the most racist and hate filled public figure in the western hemisphere. And as for Obama being at the same party as this Khalidi guy, well, McCain led the International Republican Institute when it gave a bunch of money (over a half million dollars) to Khalidi's Center for Palestinian Research and Studies (who's the bigger supporter of terrorism now, the guy who happened to be at the same party, or the guy who gave them money?)
These slurs are nothing but B.S. and have been publicly discredited. Yet McCain/ Palin continue to spew them. And at the same time they offer very little of substance as to why people should vote for them, they are just trying to be scary and say Obama is 'the enemy'.
Declaring these points as nothing but attacks is simply stating the facts. Palin is invoking the Constitution and Bill of Rights in an attempt to chill criticism, that's all.

You people are crazy.
You are all Americans, and yet you absolutely HATE one another. The Republican hatred of the Democrats is most obvious (eight years of labeling those on the other side as traitors) but the Democrats aren't much better.
What the hell is wrong with all of you?

She seems to be exercising her right to remain ignorant.
Come Nov 4 a lot of prayers will be answered. If the answer to your prayer is a resounding "No way" take it up with God.

Has Governor Palin ever read the United States Constitution? Has Governor Palin ever read the laws against hate crimes? If she takes the time to read and understand those documents, she will have no reason to fear the media, mainstream or otherwise. The issue, as Palin should know, has never been about her freedom of speech to question Obama's past associations but rather her efforts to paint Obama as someone who "pals around with terrorists." It is no small thing when our country is at war on terror to accuse a United States Senator of working closely with the enemy.

Below is a comment from House Gorillas which is a racist remarks. African Americans have been sterotyped as monkeys, gorillas, etc. She is a classy lady and doesn't need to pretend to be something that she's not. I can tell you are a McCain supporter because of the name calling and racial undertones.
"yep, I agree. Michelle could spend 150,000 like Palin, or even one million,
but she'd still look like a gorilla!
hahahahaha!
well maybe if she get's a head transplant she would get her moneys worth!"
