Palin Questions McCain Decision to Not Hit Obama on Wright

Palin Questions McCain Decision to Not Hit Obama on Wright

New York Times columnist William Kristol asked Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, if the campaign is hitting Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., for his connections to William Ayers, why wouldn’t they go after his much closer connection to Rev. Jeremiah Wright?

"To tell you the truth, Bill, I don’t know why that association isn’t discussed more," Palin said,

"because those were appalling things that that pastor had said about our great country, and to have sat in the pews for 20 years and listened to that —with, I don’t know, a sense of condoning it, I guess, because he didn’t get up and leave — to me, that does say something about character. But, you know, I guess that would be a John McCain call on whether he wants to bring that up."

This comes after Palin publicly questioned another McCain campaign decision, to stop trying to full compete in Michigan.

"I want to get back to Michigan, and I want to try," Palin told Fox News’ Carl Cameron. "Todd and I, we’d be happy to get back to Michigan. We’d be so happy to speak to the people there in Michigan who are hurting."

Sarah, here’s today’s news for you:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows Barack Obama attracting 52% of the vote while John McCain earns 44%. This is the highest level of support ever recorded for Obama and is his largest lead of the year. It also continues a remarkable twenty-five days in a row where the Democrat’s support has never declined by even a single point.
Now that is done, let’s discuss your anti-semite Mr. Witchcraft, Rev. Muthee… LOL

If you really wanted to convince me that she could (or should) be VP, how about going on Meet the Press and some other news shows.
How the heck can she be VP when she is too chicken to even talk to reporters?

Posted by: MIguy | October 6, 2008, 9:45 am 9:45 am

Today
GW Battleground Tracking O 50% M 43%
Rasmussen Tracking Poll O 52% M 44%
Rasmussen said that this is a larger lead then either Bush or Kerry had throughout the 2004 election.
The base might love you Palin but my guess is the rest of us can’t stand you.

I agree. I think the Wright issue should be questioned. I think all if Obama’s questionable associations needs to be brought up and explained. If Obama has nothing to hide, he would have cleared the air about these people a long time ago. Now he just says that he has addressed it and that it is over. I have serious issues with his associations and i would like for Sen Obama to explain them. Hard to beleive that is 20 years Rev Wright did not say racist, anti-American statements when Sen Obama was present. He just waiting for the times when Obama was not in church? Spare me.

She should be careful what she wishes for. There are internet rumors now about Todd Palin involved in an Alaskan organization that wants the state to secede the union. Something about their leader saying ‘put Alaska before America.’

She has the guts to talk about “Obama not standing” while she knows he wasn’t in attention during the speeches that were looped a 1000 times on FOX.
WHILE Sarah Palin did NOT stand up while listening to the crazy Muthee who spoke about “those Israelites” being eveil ones who should be replaced by Christians…
AFTER that speech she DID stand up and came forward to participate in Muthee’s voodoo ritual, driving the witches away from Palin….
This is unheard of… This woman should be deeply ashamed of herself. So should the folks be who nevertheless still support her.

I agree that revisiting Mr. Obama’s listening to Pastor Wright’s preaching on Mr. Obama’s mind over 20 years has to have had an effect on his way of seeing the world and particularly his own country is reasonable and legitimate. I certainly have been affected by the my exposure to preachers except that I was fortunate that I have moved around so much that I didn’t listen to only one. I certainly have opinions which have been molded at least a little by what I have heard. Why would Mr. Obama be different?
Since the mainstream press has thrown this cloak of invisibility over their favourite son, it is time this cloak was pulled back.
I also would not be surprised if this comment did not show up because of this cloak.

I think it is truly clear to me- that I am beginning to hate that woman. I can no longer be objectional about Palin. I have always found hypocrites detestable and now she is the biggest hypocrite going. Her church talked about the Jews getting what they deserved in the bombings and with Hitler. She went to that church for almost 15 years. These racist, evil folks are passing themselves off as “good” Americans – Palin is NO good AMERICAN. And her husband and her particiapted in Anti-American groups up in Alaska.
Tune this liar out. She doesn’t deserve to be listend to. Babbling fools never do.

Posted by: Independant American Woman | October 6, 2008, 9:55 am 9:55 am

I still can’t believe the GOP wants to go down the slippery slope of bad associates. Clearly Palin has some church issues herself. And McCain has a whole host of sordid associates from which to draw. I think they know they aren’t winning on the issues, and they can’t win on the biggest issue, the economy.

and then you husbands membership of the semi-fascist secessionits AIP movement…where do we stop Mrs Palin..?
Where does this lead to….

Palin has now publicly questioned two of McCain’s decisions — to pull out of Michigan and to lay off of Obama’s connection to Wright.
If I were McCain, I’d be worried as well as angry.
Palin’s remarks show great disrespect for McCain. They highlight Palin’s hubris and contempt for hierarchy and process.
What if McCain wins? If survives four years in office, how often can he expect his vice-president to publicly challenge and criticize him on policy decisions?
Who does Palin think she is? The presidential nominee? It isn’t 2012 yet, Sarah.
Of course, McCain brought this on himself by choosing Palin. I wonder how soon after he made that decision he began to regret it.

Posted by: Alex | October 6, 2008, 9:56 am 9:56 am

The RCP AVERAGE for Obama now is 49,5 percent… Rasmussen even gives him 52% of the vote.
That’s very impressive, at this stage.
It might be safe to say that this race is over.

“It might be safe to say that this race is over.”
It might be snarky too.

Why does Obama have to cheat to win?

Posted by: len | October 6, 2008, 10:01 am 10:01 am

This is such a bad strategy. While the Obama campaign is very disciplined and has waited to go negative, they have shown they will fight back hard. (See the Keating stuff coming out today). If the McCain camp doesn’t think Obama could attack back with Palin’s witch doctor visit and the controversial Jews for Jesus sermon that she attended, they must not be watching the same campaign. Let’s also remember McCain has accepted some endorsements from some religious leaders who aren’t so palatable to independents. This GOP campaign seems rudderless.

There is an old saying concerning stones and glass houses, one to which the McCain campaign should have paid more attention.
McCain may think that he’s opening a can of whoop-ass on Obama by mentioning a few glancing acquaintances with suspect characters, but he’s really opening a can of worms in that he’s now made the Keating Five affair (which had seemed to be off-limits for some reason) fair game.
Caribou Barbie wants to talk about Obama’s former pastor? Let’s explore her church and the bizarre Reverend Muthee.
Death wish, desperation, or just plain stupidity? Maybe a little bit of each. In any case, it seems to be backfiring on them, each nasty little GOP trick giving Obama an additional boost in the polls.

OH, WAIT. That was SARAH PALIN’s SPOUSE. My bad.
So, ‘First Dude’ Todd Palin was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party up until 2002 and Sarah Palin regularly went to their meetings. A party that wants to secede from America and whose founder Joe Vogler said:
“I’m an Alaskan, not an American. I’ve got no use for America and her damned institutions.”
The party likes that quote so much they keep it on their website.
So, Sarah are you an American Hater or an American? Why would your husband join a party that hates America? Why would you go to the political conventions of a party that hates America? Why do you hate America so much?
If Lying Sarah keeps this act up, I bet Alaskans dump her as governor. She’ll be so shamed after that she’ll probably have to move to “our neighboring country” Afganistan and put on a burka.

McCain ACTIVELY sought the endorsement of Rev. Hagee:
Here is just one of Hagee’s gems:
It was the disobedience and rebellion of the Jews, God’s chosen people, to their covenantal responsibility to serve only the one true God, Jehovah, that gave rise to the opposition and persecution that they experienced beginning in Canaan and continuing to this very day.

The hypocrisy is stunning. I think we can see why the McCain campaign is losing. The issues are suddenly inconsequential to them. The problem is that we’ve already met the cast of characters that McCain is introducing through Palin. They didn’t work the first time around and they aren’t going to work this time either. The banking crisis and economy have Americans focused on real issues. Bad economy, bad war, bad governance from the GOP… I don’t think people haven’t noticed.

Reverend Muthee’s own words,
Jesus into all aspects of society for the transformation. Said that we need true believers in the bsns. world. Said God wants true believers, Christians, in the political world so they can “change the laws of the land”. Said we need true believers who can “take over” our school system—-the need for the 10 Commandments to be part of our educ. system. Then children will not be taught about other religions which poison their minds.
Said Christian true believers need to invade the media and Hollywood.
Said we need born again Christians like Sarah in government and in other high positions such as Sec. of State and we need to pray for Sarah to ascend.
He asked that all pray for Sarah to rid the world of witchcraft and to turn the nation around, in the name of Jesus, Hallelujah.

Rather than stick to issues–admittedly a weak spot for her–she wants to drive the floundering McCain campaign into the mud.
Stick to the issues. Focus on the economy. Shine light on policy.

How much of Obama is liberation theology? We know that he followed Rev. Wright and had a fund raiser at Ayeres home. We now see that Obama, Obamas wife, and Ayers spoke at various events together. There was that sillyness with the flag pin – never clear why he took it off. Michele said she was only proud of the US once. Obama worked for the corrupt ACORN organization. When does it add up?
I was inspired by Obama’s rhetoric – ok some of it was plagiarized. As I am off of his campaign – given all of that I think he will win.

Guys, I have seen a lot of strange videos of Sarah Palin & her African pastor. These are truly strange videos in every sense of the word. They give us more background on “rev” Muthee, the Witch Hunter whom Sarah Palin credits with praying her to power. The church has a mission which involves all of us, and we thought our days of burning witches were shamefully behind us.

FactCheck:
The Statement: Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin said Saturday, October 4, that Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama is “someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect that he’s palling around with terrorists who would target their own country.”
Is Obama a terrorist’s pal?
Get the facts!
The Facts: In making the charge at a fund-raising event in Englewood, Colorado, and a rally in Carson, California, Palin was referring at least in part to William Ayers, a 1960s radical. In both appearances, Palin cited a front-page article in Saturday’s New York Times detailing the working relationship between Obama and Ayers.
In the 1960s, Ayers was a founding member of the radical Weather Underground group that carried out a string of bombings of federal buildings, including the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol, in protest against the Vietnam War. The now-defunct group was labeled a “domestic terrorist group” by the FBI, and Ayers and his wife, Bernadine Dohrn — also a Weather Underground member — spent 10 years as fugitives in the 1970s. Federal charges against them were dropped due to FBI misconduct in gathering evidence against them, and they resurfaced in 1980. Both Ayers and Dohrn ultimately became university professors in Chicago, with Ayers, 63, now an education professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Obama’s Chicago home is in the same neighborhood where Ayers and Dohrn live. Beginning in 1995, Ayers and Obama worked with the non-profit Chicago Annenberg Challenge on a huge school improvement project. The Annenberg Challenge was for cities to compete for $50 million grants to improve public education. Ayers fought to bring the grant to Chicago, and Obama was recruited onto the board. Also from 1999 through 2001 both were board members on the Woods Fund, a charitable foundation that gave money to various causes, including the Trinity United Church that Obama attended and Northwestern University Law Schools’ Children and Family Justice Center, where Dohrn worked.
CNN’s review of project records found nothing to suggest anything inappropriate in the volunteer projects in which the two men were involved.
Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt told CNN that after meeting Obama through the Annenberg project, Ayers hosted a campaign event for him that same year when then-Illinois state Sen. Alice Palmer, who planned to run for Congress, introduced the young community organizer as her chosen successor. LaBolt also said the two have not spoken by phone or exchanged e-mail messages since Obama came to the U.S. Senate in 2005 and last met more than a year ago when they encountered each other on the street in their Hyde Park neighborhood.
The extent of Obama’s relationship with Ayers came up during the Democratic presidential primaries earlier this year, and Obama explained it by saying, “This is a guy who lives in my neighborhood … the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago — when I was 8 years old — somehow reflects on me and my values doesn’t make much sense.”
The McCain campaign did not respond Saturday to a request for elaboration on Palin’s use of the plural “terrorists.”
Verdict: False. There is no indication that Ayers and Obama are now “palling around,” or that they have had an ongoing relationship in the past three years. Also, there is nothing to suggest that Ayers is now involved in terrorist activity or that other Obama associates are.

I love this woman. She is so amazing. She must be living in a time warp. Everything that the McCain tries to dig up on Obama has already been tried, and failed. Palin is totally clueless.
After her disastrous interviews Palin claimed that she reads the newspaper, this is becoming apparently false.
Obama answered his patriotism and race relations. Obama has said that every American whether they are Democrats, Republicans, or independents love their country.
Did Palin miss something? No, she is just clueless.

Jake,
As a lifelong democrat, all I can do at this stage is to look back and wish that the democratic party was smart enough to have the most qualified candidate, Hillary Clinton, as our nominee.
It is too late now to undo the questionable and dangerous past (probably present too) associations of Barack Obama.
As a fair-minded man and a patriotic American, it makes me angry when people try to compare the Keating Five with the anti-American Ayers and Rev. Wright. I may be a staunch democrat, but I am an American first. I will never, ever vote (or shake hands with) anyone who sat in a church that preaches racial tension and promotes the downfall and damnation of America.
I agree with Sarah Palin and you’re darn right that McCain is the true American who has the strong character, remarkable records, and solid expereince that are needed to become the president of this great nation of ours.
The fact is, as Rev. Jeremiah Wright declared “God damn America” from the pulpit, Obama sat in the pews for twenty years. What pisses me off is the fact that Rev. Wright prayed for Obama and his family in a downstairs room in the state capitol, right before Obama went outside (without Wright) to announce his presidentail run. That’s a chilling fact confirming the fact that Obama harbors and respects Rev. Wright’s anti-American sentiments.
I’d rather have a war hero and a true American like McCain as a president rather than voting a democratic nominee like Obama whose horrible anti-American associations will certainly endanger the security of my country.
God Bless America!

It’s one thing to stick to issues, but it takes a person with judgement, good values system and good charachter to implement important those decisions. Obama lacks in all of the above.
The only reason Obama threw Wright under the bus, it was affecting his campaign. That’s not decision making, its protecting his own political aspirations. Obama is not ready to be president, in fact, he is not competent to be senator.
Obama is so far to left as Bush is so far to the right–Obama or Bush does not represent “middle America”.
In fact, it took Obama to insult the “middle America” yet the Obama robots defend him????? The same goes for the Bushies, defend him, no matter what.
It’s sad.

the only jobs obama can promise to the newly graduated college kids are the soup line, he wants all his followers to “volunteer” and keep the poor poorer, keep his rich friends richer, democrats need people to be down on their luck so they can exploit their emotions to vote for them.
the last thing the “new” obama democrat want is anyone to be self efficent, cause if we are independent, then we won’t need his HANDOUTS, in which he won’t get our votes.
more people CRY for help, more obama will become popular, that means more welfare, more feed to the chickens, and becoming chickens means to the roaster we go,

Aren’t you aware of the fact that he is a pro-obama supporter and he is going to inflate the polls to make the country believe Obama is going to win the presidency? Also, are you a true American. I don’t think so. True American’s don’t vote for a former anti-american racist with close ties to crooks and underground bombers. The problem in this country today is this generation of college students are senseless when it comes to politics. They don’t have the brains to sit on or a window to throw them out of. They are like Obama. He left his at Harvard. He needs Biden to run the country if he is elected because he doesn’t know his left hand from his right. Learn more about Obama’s “faith” — Black Liberation Theology. That’s what Rev. Wright taught and that’s what his church taught. The media doesn’t write a word about Black Liberation Theology. Why is that? They act as though Rev. Wright acted outside the context of the belief system and ideology Obama embraces. They knew that if Americans were educated on this they would never trust their nation to a Marxist with a racist worldview. Getting Obama elected is more important to the media than truth or their journalistic integrity. If a GOP candidate ran in neo-Nazi intellectual circles, associated with Timothy McVeigh and followed White Liberation Theology — how would his vetting process be conducted by the media? They either agree with Obama’s belief system or don’t think its relevant concerning his character. Either one proves they have contempt for their mainstream readers.

We should also talk about Mccain’s story in his book about when he was shot down in Vietnam.
While no one disputes his patriotism and service to his country in our military and war, his decision to fly straight ahead to deliver his bombs could be reflective of his judgement and if he is continued to be guided by this mavericky, okie dokie cowboy style.
He says he heard the incoming SAM anti-aircraft missle coming at him, but rather than performing evasive manueveurs, he flew straight ahead towards Hanoi to deliver his bomb load.
In some respects that shows deterimism, but it can also show a stubborn streak and tunnel vision. He risked his many millions in aircraft and training (all paid for by the taxpayer) to try to fly straight ahead ignoring the clear and present danger the incoming SAM presented.
It should come into questions since he has used this example as a case of his determisms. Would he use this same impetousous or determinism to plow straight ahead with bombing Iran, South Ossentia without first looking at defensive measures to produce the better long term result?
We should question it more.

Palin is one of the worst politicians to appear on the American scene: Intellectually-challenged, shallow, arrogant, power-hungry, egotistical, narcissistic, prone to lies as it suits her, mean-spirited, vindictive, unethical, incompetent and worst of all, she thinks she can be POTUS with her high-school educated First Dude advisor. She and McCain should watch what they say about Obama … they have plenty of skeletons in their own closets … Keating 5, Troopergate, Palin’s Pentecostal religion and witch-hunting pastor, etc. It is unbelievable that anyone could be charmed to vote for Palin just because they think she’s pretty and she can wink and talk like a hillbilly. All this woman does is embellish her own record, often with outright lies (Bridge to Nowhere is one glaring example), spout lies about the opposition, trample over bodies as she claws her way to the top, and pretend to know what she doesn’t. McCain, if you think it’s a pain now to have to tutor her in the basics of politics just so she sounds halfway coherent in public, just wait. She’s already telling you that you don’t know what the hell you’re doing in your own campaign … she and Todd knows better, she doesn’t need you … she and Todd will do the job in Michigan that you’re too chicken to do. How do you like ‘em apples, McCain … your protege is taking over the campaign now … you can just take a nap.

The blind judgments of these responses amaze me. Everything from calling college students druggies. To referencing Barack as Black Oboma. For some reason having the Barack means your a Islamic militant. The main thing this election has taught me is that alot of people in our country care only about money. I am not saying i am for socialism, which i am sure i will be accused of since the lack of respect runs deep here. What i am getting at here is I am a young voter, voting in my 3rd election. Maybe its possible for some of you “mature” voters to learn something from us and change the channel to here more than one side of a story. Both my votes were against Bush, I was baffled me how people could vote for such moron. It has become increasingly easy for me to see why.
she will be what Bush was to Cheney. A PUPPET. The point of our government is to spread the power not consolidate it……thats my “uninformed” comment that makes me terrorist.

The polls had Obama winning in CA,NV and NM but Hillary won those states. In Lady Lake Florida over a week ago Palin drew 60,000 people. She drew 10,000 in Carson,CA. I like Gov. Palin because she is a woman that says what she means and means what she says. She is a very aggressive woman that’s why she became the mayor, governor of a state and is now McCain’s VP. I think she has a good chance of getting the vote out for McCain so he can win. I know that all the networks have Obama winning but I have my doubts about that.

People, why do you fall for these low-down tactics of distraction? The stock market is dropping like a rock right now … down over 500 points this morning … and you let the people who don’t know what to do about the economy change the subject to character assassinations! McCain couldn’t wait to take credit for engineering the $700B bailout package. Now he’s afraid to talk about it because it was a horrible thing to do to the taxpayers in the first place. I don’t care who was friends with whom years ago (Ayers, Keating) … every politician has something unsavory in their past and that includes McCain and Palin. That’s not important to me today. I care about my money, if there’s going to be any left by the time I’m ready to retire. I care about being able to afford to live in my house. I care about living in a peaceful world … I don’t want any more wars, I don’t want any more of our people being sent to die in wars that’s none of our business. I care about having a leader (like Reagan) who brought respect from the rest of the world, instead of being ridiculed. I care about having a leader who is intelligent, calm in a crisis, and articulate … Obama is the man I trust to lead us.

—————————-
So Rev. Wright is a liar when he says his teachings derive and are dedicated to Black Liberation Theology? Is the church wrong for saying it followed Black Liberation Theology? Is the founder of Black Liberation Theology a liar for saying Trinity is the church he’d point to as a church that most embodied his message? He went to church that didn’t share his worldview for 20 years and indoctrinated his children to this radical worldview? Honestly. The facts are not on your side. You can’t dispute these facts.
Quick Facts:
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright was introduced to black liberation theology at University of Chicago’s Divinity School. Wright would cite the works of James Cone and Dwight Hopkins who are considered the leading theologians of this system of belief, although now there are many scholars who have contributed a great deal to the field. Wright built up Trinity United Church of Christ with a vision statement based on the theology laid out by James Cone[3][4] Asked in an interview which church most embodied his message, Cone replied “I would point to that church (Trinity) first. [5] Short clips of Wright’s sermons which called for God to condemn America for its actions and credited the government for creating the AIDS virus would receive heavy criticism and became a major topic of presidential debates.
Wright claimed that criticism of his theology constituted an attack on the black church, although probably no more than a quarter of black pastors today would describe their theology as liberationist[6]. Trinity United Church of Christ is one of the few that specifically incorporates black liberation theology into its vision statement[7][8][9]

We know that Wall Street was over come by greed and corruption. The US Congress enabled that. The earmark system in congress is a major part of this rampant corruption.

Why is Sarah Palin focused on this subject while there are larger issues at hand? She could be discussing something more important like global warming while she pursues this trivial topic. Also, I think she needs to work with John McCain as a partner if they are running for office together. There are so many things Sarah Palin seems unsure/unclear about. Although I respect Sarah Palin as a woman running for office, I believe that she is unqualified.

The only times she sounds good are when she reads from a prepared script. Palin delivered her RNC speech dripping with sarcasm and vitriole … that’s mean-spirited and arrogant. Her firing (or attempt to) of anyone who got in her way or displeased her in Alaska makes her power-hungry and vindictive. Her taking Wasilla from a surplus to a $22 million deficint makes her incompetent. Her refusal to answer debate questions and go with her own agenda shows her to be egotistical and narcissistic. In addition, someone needs to teach Palin the basics of the English language so she doesn’t embarrass her candidate and herself when she opens her mouth … a thoughtful, intellectual, articulate politician she is definitely not.

Obama got his way to the top thru crooked friends and wheeling and dealing making a lie sound like the truth. Get real and find out more about him. I watched a video on Fox about Obama and it tells the story on how he became friends with Ayers, Farrakhan, Wright, Rezko, Father P and a Palestine leader against Israel and Obama does not like the Jews. You should have watch that video and you would have woke up to the fact about his crooked deals. Yes, he did meet ayers, had dinner several times at his house and received donations from him. You are quite correct; corruption will, or should be, the main issue. May I suggest that favoritism for even the most noble of motives is the root cause of corruption. Whnever government has power to take from one to give to another, that government has the vulnerability to be bought. If I want something for nothing, I’ll buy an official to get him/her to use the compulsory power of government to mnake it happen. For best case, who bought Frederick Raines to get Fannie Mae to guarentee bad loans to “my people”? Shumer and Frank, for two? BHO is central to this with the ACORN ties. Here’s real and significant corruption. Take a look, people!!

Obama is friends and business partner with Ayers. Ayers was against the government, and read what Ayers and Obama said after 9/11. Obama was sympathetic to the terrorists cause and supported charity contributions to the terrorists at the time. At the time of 9/11 there were few, if any people who publically called for empathy and financial support to the terrorist peoples, but Obama did. Ayers traveled to Libya to get support from Quadaffi for Obama’s presidential campaign. Why the media ignored Rev Wright and continues to ignore stories that should be told, is highly unusual for our typical free=press.

McCain has the right to fire back… but not by lying; dividing and showing no respect to others
By constantly making false statements to tear down his opponent and people‘s attention from real issues
, McCain shows that he does not (or no longer) put country first. He is just a dishonest and reckless politician who would do whatever to get the power. By having Palin do the nasty job of making stupid and totally false statements he is telling me that he shows no respect to his vice president and to women. It’s time for Palin to use her brain(if she has one) if they really want the white house.

Stock market?: No, I’m not an investor of stocks except for what little I have in my 401K. And like you, I worry big-time about day-to-day living expenses. I don’t even own a house anymore … not because I took out a bad loan, I just couldn’t afford to buy one when the market was sky-high and now when money is tight. I’m worried about the current state of the economy and its effects on my ability to maintain some semblance of a decent lifestyle. I worry about taxes. For all those reasons, Obama is the one to lead this nation. McCain doesn’t even want to talk about the economy anymore … he’s admitted it’s not his thing and he doesn’t know what to do about it. Don’t believe what you head from the McCain camp about taxes. Yes, both parties will have to raise money somehow to pay for all the programs they back. But so many independent studies have shown that in the final analysis, Obama’s plan will cost taxpayers far less than McCain’s. And the begin with, every single working family making less than $250,000 will not pay a single dime in additional taxes. Not so with McCain’s plan … he’s giving the biggest breaks to the richest people, while the rest of us will get just a pittance AND have to fork out more money in health insurance as well. No, I can’t afford to have McCain in office.

In his 2000 campaign Senator McCain begged us to judge the candidates “by the example we set, by the way we conduct our campaigns, by the way we personally practice politics.” Very well. Having done so, at this juncture of the McCain/Palin campaign all I feel is revulsion. Even were we not clearly at a time of great danger for the country, but especially now, we deserve better, both from our candidates and from Mr. Kristol and his ilk who are privileged to have access to the candidates, and to advise them.
This attempt at character assassination is despicable, dishonest and dishonorable, and Mr. Kristol deserves those epithets no less than the candidates themselves. This last desperate flailing of the McCain campaign is reminiscent — in very specific ways — of McCarthyism at its worst. I believe the American electorate is better than the McCain/Palin/Rove/Schmidt smear machine apparently do and that they will reject the cynicism that underlies this vileness.
“Have you no sense of decency sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?”
I urge you all to read the despicable piece of hagiographic propaganda passing as journalism that Mr. Kristol has written and the NYT has seen fit to publish:

The failure of the McCain-Palin campaign may all come down to the bottom of the ticket, Governor Palin. She has to be kidding that she wants to bring up Reverend Wright again. As someone pointed out on this blog, her pastor practices witchcraft and lets not forget that their are indications that she, and more specifically “first dude” Todd Palin, have ties to the Alaska Independence Party who supports annexing Alaska from the United States. Does she really want to bring up flimsy associations? Her trooper gate issue is still on-going. Just another line of corrupt, republican politicians. This could blow up on you Sarah honey.

Palin is an ignorant, self-deceived, extremist bimbo. McCain is a desparate, out-of-touch old fogey. The Republican presidential ticket this year is more of a joke than the Dole/Kemp ticket in 1996. Hey Republicons…you better batten down the hatches because the landslide is coming.

McCain’s last card, but it’s a losing one. Obama was already hit with this card during the primary, and he still won. People are tired of hearing about Ayers, Wright, and Rezko. These non-issues have already been addressed, over and over again. And here we are, once again. McCain has his questionably Keating 5 associations, and Palin had a preacher give her a blessing against witchcraft (if you want a blessing against witchcraft then you probably believe in witch’s). This Republican campaign is the most ridiculous I’ve ever seen.

I don’t understand this either – are we really all going to sit by and allow this dangerous man, whose biggest block of experience is CAMPAIGNING for himself become President of the United States?
There are too many questions, too many attempts by him to hide and refuse to provide information (i.e., his college transcripts, birth certificate, etc.), as the media fawns all over him and allows it to go on. Then Sarah Palin is in the race less than 5 weeks and SHE is the one dodging the press? How many unscripted interviews did Obama give during the primaries – even when the Jeremiah Wright thing finally came out?
Sorry, I’m not willing to vote for a man because the press has determined it’s politically correct and it’s important to have a “historic” election. Good God – we have got to get to the polls and make sure we don’t turn our country, and our lives, over to Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

Yes, McCain and Palin should go after Obama about his association with Wright. Don’t let Obama skate on another damn thing.
Twenty years with Wright, his mentor and “uncle”? Just another in the list of unsavory “characters” that Obama has associated with in his adult life and it should explain clearly to anyone what the “Tainted One” is all about.
No more free rides for Obama. We are tired of his bs. Call him out on it and do it now. Damn betcha, anyone else would have had to explain what the “Wright Connection” was all about.
And no, Obama, we do NOT want a speech on race relations instead of a full explanation.
Your disavowal of what Wright said does not match up with sitting for 20 years in the Amen Corner of Trinity listening to the Wrong Reverend Wright as he spewed hate to a clapping, cheering congregation which you, Michelle and your two daughters were a part of.
And don’t even THINK about playing a race card, this issue goes to YOUR judgment and character – two things you seem to have in short supply.

But I love this country, I am mad when someone harmed and going to be harm this country. I like enjoying this madness so I support Obama, so what is wrong?

I don’t understand why they had not hammered this home since the beginning of the GE campaign. Barack would not have won the primaries if this had been brought to light before the first caucus. I hope they bring out all of his questionable associations. Birds of a feather, flock together!!!

Republicans voting for McCain/Palin… HAVE YOU BEEN ASLEEP FOR THE PAST 8 FRIGGIN YEARS? WAKE UP I AM BEGGIN YOU! Relgion should not be your major concern this election! What about what they are saying they will do! The McCain/Palin campaign have been tossing around lies after lies and you guys keep buying it. Look I wasnt a Obama fan, I didn’t vote for him in the primary.. But for God’s skae even I see the BS in the McCain campaign. Why wont you wake up?

Palin is right. NOTHING is more important for Americans than protecting themselves and their children from terrorists and others who are desperate to harm us. Obama’s anti-America friends and his Marxist leanings make him extremely dangerous. Additionally, his slogans (CHANGE, YES WE CAN, etc.) and his talking points are very similar to those of Chávez, Morales, Correa and other Latin American leftist presidents-turned-dictators who are ruining their countries and working with terrorists against the United States. We’ll vote for McCain not for Hussain.

Palin’s accusation that Obama pals with terrorists is the lowest, ugliest thing I have ever seen in a presidential campaign. EVER. It’s a lie. And she now deserves no respect at all from the media or the voters. All but the most staunch right wing supporters will see this for what it is. Ugly, mean, and desperate.

Why isn’t Palin giving any interviews to the media? Is she scared of what she might say? Is it because she can’t form a coherent sentence without being coached? I say, if the McCain/Palin campaign won’t cooperate with the media, maybe the media should boycott the McCain/Palin campaign!!!

Sarah has a voodoo witch doctor and has openly supported secession of Alaska from the USA, and has openly stated that “Alaska should not be part of the USA, we Alaskans are independent.”
Her “first dude” Todd has made it perfectly clear in numerous comments that he hates America and the “jews that run it”.
Republicans don’t know how dirty this can get. She makes the Keating 5 look like childsplay.

“No self respecting woman should wish or work for the success of a party which ignores her sex.” – Susan B. Anthony
Nice quote, Lee Lee. So you must be a Democrat because the Republicans have always been years behind when it comes to womens issues. The Democrats had a woman VP nominee back in 1988, the GOP is just now doing it…and only to pick up the disgruntled Hillary supporters. The Republicans didn’t even offer a woman in the Primary. At least Hillary went as far as she did, in the DEMOCRATIC primary. Lee Lee, you should practice what you preach. Do some research and you’ll find that Democrats have been much more fair to women and minorities than the GOP has ever been.

LeeLee07,
So you’re against women having the birth control pill? Have you checked out Feminists for Life a group which Ms Palin is a member of? They don’t believe in access to the pill, IUD, Depo-Provera, or the morning after pill. And you call yourself a feminist?
Are you aware of the changes that Health and Human services has been attempting under the Bush Administration to deem the pill as abortion?
Again,,,and you think this is supporting women?
Shame on you for trying to lead us back to the dark ages!

Posted by: karen | October 6, 2008, 12:38 pm 12:38 pm

Media – what are you talking about? This article refers to a media interview with Sarah Palin – she’s given several interviews and there’s even a book out about her.

Posted by: Why-it | October 6, 2008, 12:39 pm 12:39 pm

karen – Neither Sarah Palin or the Bush administration has ever passed any type of legislation outlawing or even restricting birth control or attempting to come between a woman and her doctor – to do so would take more then a presidential wave of the wand (by the way, the FDA determines which drugs are legal, not Health and Human Services). Your posting is the type of ill-informed hysteria that purposely misleads voters. The fact is, while Bush was president, the FDA APPROVED several new birth control methods and allowed the abortion pill to come into the mainstream – it’s now used in place of surgical abortions in many cases. Oh, abortions have also declined while funding for in-school clinics that dispense birth control have expanded. There was a time when feminists cared about the truth – now, only a few of us still do.

Yay -
Yes, I am a Democrat – but I will be voting Republican this year. After that, I will change my party affiliation to Indepedent.
The clueless, corrupted Democrats seem to think that allowing Geraldine Ferraro to run as VP 24 years ago was enough for the women in the Party, so we should be satisfied with that.
They then promoted, cheated and pushed the totally unqualified Tainted One (at the expense of others) to the nom over the best and most capable, who happened to be Hillary.
Sorry, I am not waiting another 24 years for this Party to disenfranchise me as a woman, mis-use my vote or to throw me another bone.
The Democratic Party should change its name to the Good Ole’ Boys Club. They can have it.

All I can say is thank god my son doesn’t attend the University of Illinois. With Ayers teaching there I would be horrified. I am already dissapointed with how much his liberal professors at the college he attends is already influencing him and what they are teaching him. So much so he has asked to leave next semester and I gladly said yes. For the $40,000.00 a year I have paid for his education I am disgusted with what he is learning. All left wing spin. No wonder all the college students are running to vote for Obama. I knew there was something I didn’t like about Obama and now I see it. He reminds me of a cult leader and the Democrats are his followers. God help us if he is elected.

Well many more reasons to vote for Obama than my “uterus” as you so eloquently put it…
How bout this for good news all!
In amounts ranging from $200 to $2,300, about 30 partners and employees of the legal firm Keating, Muething and Klekamp, as well as their family members, have contributed $50,200 to McCain’s 2008 campaign. All but two of the contributions came in July, and all but three of those July donations were logged on July 31, suggesting they were delivered at the same time. As with any bundle of campaign contributions, it’s difficult to determine which donor was the “bundler,” the person who solicited the contributions on the campaign’s behalf. McCain’s online roster of bundlers, which purports to name any individual bundling $50,000 or more for the campaign, does not associate any of McCain’s major fund-raisers with the Keating firm.

Folks, it’s pretty obvious that the only ones buying these lies from Palin are the republican base, who will vote for McCain no matter what. I was an “undecided” until this weekend after hearing Palin repeatedly accused Obama of “palling with terrorists.” His tenuous relationship with Ayers is old news and quite frankly, the very accusation of this by the McCain camp is insulting to my intelligence and to those of my previously undecided friends (we are all now voting for Obama). I have colleagues at UIC, and Ayers is now a respectable professor there. Are my friends there as well as the students who took his classes, who arguably have had MORE interaction with Ayers than Obama has, considered palling with a terrorist? What about Republican governor Sanford of South Carolina? He served on the board at University of South Carolina, where Ayers was considered a “distinguished scholar” of the school. Is he terrorist lover as well? I’m having trouble paying my mortgage and putting gas in my car and this is the best McCain has to offer? No thanks. He just lost a bunch of swing voters with this hopeless tactic.

The Democratic party still has a majority of women in office than the GOP. And this is still a democracy, women have to be voted in. Republicans can’t even find good qualified candidates in their own party, Palin is the best they’ve got! The Democrats have the first female Senate Majority leader Nancy Pelosi, two heartbeats away from the Presidency. If the Democrats had had any balls they would have impeached Bush and Cheney, and Nancy Pelosi would have been the first female President! The GOP isn’t better for women, it’s just a matter of convenience that they need one at this moment in time. If you want to push forward an agenda for progress for all women, Democrat is the way to vote.

As a registered Independent for more than 20 years, I will be supporting Sen. Obama.
I’m not interested in dirty politics, i’m interested in solutions to fix this economic crisis. Sen. McCain is off message, he is not talking about solutions. These political tactics not going to back-fire. American voters… are tried of this kind of politics. The polls show it. Palin and McCain are desparate and these behaviors show it…
If they focused on solutions, or if McCain selected a better running mate, like Romney… who has economic experience this would be a different race… instead… this is who he picked and it back-fired… Palin has no right to talk about peoples association…
You lost my vote… You are losing because McCain has offered no solutions… Voters in America are tired of these political tactics…
The polls are showing this… The Electorial Map reflects that McCain has failed to offer American Voters what we need to change the direction of this country… Palin isn’t it… Fear and Smear isn’t it… Having no message isn’t it…
McCain has failed the American Voter… the middle class has turned a deaf ear to McCain and are turning to Obama in mass….

Nick- Palin is not accusing Obama of “paling around” with Ayers, Wright – she’s questioning why he has these questionable associations. The media has misled you about the Ayers-Obama relationship – they’ve left out key information about their relationship serving together on boards and at fundraisers. Obama needs to answer these questions – as a voter, I’m not willing to vote for anyone who doesn’t answer these fundamental questions. McCain has answered for his involvement in Keating 5 – he cooperated with an investigation and has been interviewed many times about it. We’re just asking that Obama be equally open.

karen – No, I didn’t and I won’t read it – that magazine is notoriously biased – it would be like trusting NewsMax as a primary news source. As for Fox News, which democrats love to call Faux News (thinking that it’s witty) – recently, the democratic governor of Penn., when asked (not by Fox News) which news outlet had been the most unbiased during the political proces, he said Fox News. People love to hate Fox News because they ask the questions other networks are not asking – and they are valid questions. Most people do not get their news from one source – they get it from a variety of sources, including the major networks and the cable news outlets as well as print (by the way, LA Times is really not that reliable – they omit facts and carefully select what info goes into an article – when you read similar stories on a topic in other newspapers, the bias is easy to see.).

How closely did the two work when they served on two boards together? Why did Obama launch his senatorial campaign from Ayers’ house? Why did Obama stay for 20 years in a church that was too radical for Oprah? How did Obama pay for his Harvard education? Why does Obama refuse to talk about his work with ACORN? Fact Number One: It was liberal Democrats, led by Senator Christopher Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank, who for years– including the present year– denied that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were taking big risks that could lead to a financial crisis.
Americans need to know the TRUTH about Obama, not his propaganda a the media chants to promote him. Americans need to know that Obama believes in Black Liberation Theology and they need to know what Black Liberation Theology Means. Liberation Theology has been used to dupe Latin Americans into the slavery of Marxism, bringing poverty and misery to millions. Americans also need to know the TRUTH about who is most to blame for our financial problems.
It was Senator Dodd, Congressman Frank and other liberal Democrats who for years refused requests from the Bush administration to set up an agency to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
It was liberal Democrats, again led by Dodd and Frank, who for years pushed for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to go even further in promoting subprime mortgage loans, which are at the heart of today’s financial crisis.
Alan Greenspan warned them four years ago. So did the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers to the President. So did Bush’s Secretary of the Treasury, five years ago.
Yet, today, what are we hearing? That it was the Bush administration “right-wing ideology” of “de-regulation” that set the stage for the financial crisis. Do facts matter?
Americans need to know the TRUTH and the media is certainly hiding it to promote their candidate, Obama.
That’s why we are grateful that Palin has the courage to tell the TRUTH.

If we’re discussing frankness about people’s associations, let’s talk about McCain and the Keating 5. Let’s not forget McCain’s association with the radical, racist, board of the U.S Council for World Freedom (1981) founded by an Iran Contra figure Maj. General John K. Singlaub. Let’s talk about Sarah Palin’s association with the Alaska Indendence group that wants to seceed from the US. Let’s talk about Palin’s participation in her Wasilla church’s “exorcism” of “witches.” Let’s talk about Palin’s illegally charging rape victims for rape investigation kits, and then using the monies saved to buy a “mayor’s SUV.” Let’s talk about Palin’s illegally enacting a $150 bounty on wolves slaughtered from helicopters. Of all the people in the world NOT in a position to throw any mud, Palin and McCain are in first place.

Trouble is, this ain’t the Miss Alaska competition. Gee willikers, folks, this is a contest to see who’s best suited to lead the U.S. in the event the president becomes incapacitated or dead. Palin is really unbelievable. I wonder if she somehow thinks that her own associations with radical pastors are somehow less relevant?
First, the pastor at her old church pretty much preached during the last presidential election basically that he wouldnt tell his congregation who to vote for, but if they didn’t vote republican, he would “question their salvation”. And then there is the witch hunter Muthee.
Come on?!!! Go there and you’re pretty much attacking yourself. This man is hoping htat Palin will rid the country of witchcraft, etc?
The McCain campaign have become less honorable and less honest and have shown less and less integrity the farther this campaign has gone. They are acting as though integrity is only an asset if you’re winning, but lies and smear campaigns are mandated by God if you’re losing.

John McCain is a nervous little man with small ideas. He might actually be headed into dementia. Anyone who thinks “Bomb Bomb Iran” is funny is mentally ill. McCain is obviously a desparate man. Every Democrat in Washington hates McCain now. There is NO WAY he could govern in a bipartisan fashion… not after this sleazy campaign. The sight of McCain twitching in his chair in Iowa last week should convince every voter that his nervous, shaky hand should never be near the little red button that could start World War III.

John McCain makes derogatory jokes about Chelsea Clinton and Janet Reno.
He jokes about bombing Iran.
He joked about sending cigarettes to Iran as a way to kill them.
John McCain jokes about women being raped by gorillas.
John McCain referred to Leisure World (a retirement community) as Seizure World.
He jokes about alzheimers patients.
He jokes about beating his wife.
He suggested his wife compete in a topless beauty pageant.
He jokes about torturing his staff.
He called a high school student who asked a question he didn’t like a jerk.
He also said that he did went nasty in his campaign because Obama didn’t do what he wanted, with the town hall meetings. So basically he’s admitting that whenever he doesn’t get his way, he’ll do whatever it takes…including lie.
His staff said that rather than being in economic trouble that the people in this country were suffering from a “mental recession”.
This is a nasty, unrespecting, angry little man. Why on earth would we expect anyone who treats women, children, seniors, as he does believe that he would be able to in any way work diplomatically with other countries, or even with Congress in any effective way.

Have Mr. Obama and his wife been always proud of this country through its good time and bad time ? or they just said so recently to promote themselves . We have to look deeper through his rhetoric. Don’t judge the book by its cover.

I’m wondering about all the comments by right wing bloggers that compare Obama to Hitler , Mussolini ,Marx & Terrorists . It seems to Me that there is some rewriting of the facts {History} here, as far as Nazism & Fascism, they are similar but not completely the same. They are though steeped in Militarism, Nationalism and Patriotism with Religion, Class, and Racism intertwined in their belief system. The afore mentioned groups would routinely ally them selves with Social Conservatives because of their suspicion of ones not like them, and were exclusive to many Minority groups & sub groups, also this belief system was the complete opposite of Liberalism witch is inclusive to all peoples, beliefs & cultures. The Nazi & Fascist regimes knew that including God would help them control and manipulate the citizens of their prospective Countries so they allied them selves with the Church. Germany w/ Catholic & Protestant religions and Italy w/ Italian Catholicism, this intertwined w/ Patriotism to whip up a frenzy of Discontent and Intolerance. Thus they were able to control those masses w/ a unified or Monolithic thought process. One interesting point about Marxism or Communism is that Fascists hate Communists{Marxists} with every fiber of their being. When I hear the screams of God & Country I shudder because it’s easy to fool or manipulate folks that are struggling to feed their Families, them selves or saving their Homes & Jobs . keep education out of reach of this countries under class because Education opens all eyes & destroys all Myths. keep the racial & ethnic groups divided and suspicious of each other. Throw in the talking heads saying the problem of this crisis is Mortgages to certain minority and other groups not from deregulation or lack of oversight. How stupid is that? Of course they say Obama is different than You,look at Rains he is a minority and the former C.E.O. of Freddy Mac he knows Obama. Now you have your Villain, look at what they are doing to us they say, Rise up protect your country from these ones w/ foreign ideas they say, some how they are different, not Americans they are a drag on this great Country. Should the far Right get rid of us the ones that are different. Europe tried it & the early Americans did settling on these shores ,are we the villains? I can see it coming but no one is watching. This is one reason why the Founding Fathers wanted Government & Religion separate because of what happened w/ the Crowned governments in Europe. They became intertwined w/ the Church,& we know how corrupt & suppressive they had become.Watch & see little by little your rights are being siphoned away just enough so as where you might fuss a little at any one thing, but throw in a crisis when many are scared, misdirect attention so you don’t see the broader picture, then push an agenda by Fear Mongering that could put this group in charge w/ powers that would be Autocratic. No Habeas Corpus {the right to question government about your arrest} where the people would have no recourse. Where the Executive branch would have all the power like a crown, castrating the Legislative branch {States} of any over site or power to challenge, and the judicial branch {Courts} be coming an appendage of the Executive. Do we want a Crowned Autocratic Fascist government here, w/McCain who knows what you’ll get & judging by his behavior over the past couple of months, erratic is too kind of a description, Schizophrenic is more like it.

I’ve been concerned about all of Barack Obama’s radical/terroist associates.
It is beyond me why the rest of the media, beside Fox, hasn’t reported on this…and why in the world are they protecting Barack Obama. There is way too much information with Obama’s connections to these extremists to even be qualified as a Presidential candidate for the USA.
Today, on October 6, 2008, Bill Gavin, former assistant director, NY of the FBI had made a statement on Fox News regarding his deep concerns about Barack Obama’s associations. I don’t think Mr. Gavin would appear on a national news medium to make a statement if there wasn’t real concern.
OBAMA in fact, has been or still is the TRAINER for ACORN – the radical criminal organization which is known to register illegal voters. They currently are under investigation in several states.
OBAMA was also their LAWYER! The only people they register are for DEMOCRAT votes…and the people are not necessarily legal.
WRITE TO THE FBI, THE FEDERAL ELECTION COMMISSION, YOUR CONGRESSMEN, ETC…
….UNLESS YOU WANT A SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST COUNTRY IN THE UNITED STATES.
The FBI on Wednesday raided the county offices of a former Illinois state senator who is a poker-playing buddy of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama.
According to Chicago authorities, the FBI visited the offices in Joliet, Ill., of Will County executive Larry Walsh, a longtime friend of Mr. Obama’s, and his chief of staff Matt Ryan.
THIS IS JUST ANOTHER ONE OF MANY ADVERSE CONNECTIONS TO BARACK OBAMA THAT FORM THE PATTERN OF RADICAL JUDGMENT WHICH COULD BE THREATENING FOR THE USA FUTURE.

First of all Obama supporters have been sent into cyberspace to load these discussion boards. Secondly most of the Obama zombies don’t even understand what socialism is. Most of them were not around during the cold war or the 1960′s when leftist provocateurs almost toppled the USA. Socialism has never worked in any country. It is a violent and degrading system. If you don’t like what is happening now wait until you elect Obama (the Idi Amin of American) you can kiss your liberty good bye. How will more government give you more freedom? Stupid, stupid idiots are selling us to the commies. Say good bye to freedom you are going to get the leader you deserve.

Does McCain have anyone left on his team that thinks it might be a good idea to talk about the issues that are affecting peoples’ lives or have the potential to affect, as opposed to the Obama Paranoia Trip De Jour?
For instance, what is he going to do about finance reform? Making credit more available (for those qualified, of course)? Jobs? Health Insurance? Iraq? Afghanistan/Pakistan? Iran? Global Warming (great that he claims to think it is real, but what is he gonna do about it)?
There is nothing false about hope.

I would like to know the nature of the advisors she chooses – people who tell her what she wants to hear, or people who know what they are talking about. VP Palin and Pres Palin would be likely to choose the same kinds of advisors.
Would she have public advisors, yet give more weight in political matters to what her private religious advisors suggest about political matters?
Also, it seems to me that the professional thing for Palin to have done about her desire to campaign in Michigan, and about “this” matter of speaking with reporters about using Obama’s former pastor against him would have been for her to have kept silent and heeded the McCain advisors. A loose cannon in a campaign is one thing; a loose cannon in the office of Vice President could “seriously” damage this republic.
If McCain wins, I wonder how VP Palin will treat cabinet secretaries she does not like.

16 million people voted for the progress of women when they voted Dem for Hillary but the DNC and the media disregarded their votes and selected Obama to be the nominee. For this reason, the dem party lost many voters who vehemently disagree with what they did. To me Obama is not now nor will he ever be an option for me to vote dem. I will chose the lesser of two evils and for the first time vote repub. I truly hope and pray that the dems lose this election. Thats the right decision. Voting for Obama is a vote for his terrorist friends. And how they bought all their homes is because they all wheeled and dealed underhanded activities including Obama whose house was 3/4 paid by Rezko for a coverup of dirty deals. And his deals with City Hall. I live in Chicago, lived her all my life and seen Hyde Park when it was a scummy, dirty area so bad a California based bank had to close its doors. Evidently he doesn’t live in that part of Hyde Park. His good friend and campaign donor, US bomber lives very close by and they have had several dinners together along with donations. Ayers should have been given a life in prison for what he did. If Obama wasn’t a racist or anti-american why did he stay in a racist church for 20 years. Why did he listen to Wright’s sermons if he wanted to run for president and why is generation voting for him know what he did and his close ties to a terrorist. That’s not what I call true Americans of this country.

angie: I understand Obama’s pastor had a good church member by the name of BarackObama going there for for 20 year and would have continued but his pastor got caught in his sermon. It must be nice to be an anti-american and run for the presidency of this country. And how about that Palestine leader that he is friends who don’t like Israel.

I have to reconsider my affiliation with the Republican Party. If there are people out there, and apparently there are many of them, in the Grand Old Party, that think Sarah Palin has what it takes to be one-half heartbeat away from the Commander in Chief’s job, than the Party must be a Party for fringe lunatics.
Sarah Palin is so ignorant it is very frightening. She wears her ignorance with a smugness that can only be described, as well, ignorant – as she has no clue how ignorant she is. She has no intellectual curiosity about the world around her or in front of her. On top of that, she is a corrupt, deceitful, cold hearted, vile human being.
Additionally, McCain has shown himself to be an erratic old man with very dangerous, poor judgment who stoops to lies at every opportunity.
First chance I get, I am re-registering as an Independent.

And Obama knows Ayres who was arrested for child abuse. I cannot understand the majority of people voting for a candidate of his background. I do understand this generation of youth because they think they know all about politics but they give me a laugh everytime they make comments. They don’t have the brains to sit on or them out the window. Obama left his brains at the Harvard University that’s why if elected Biden will be running the country and Obama will be standing in the background listening to what he’s saying.

Sirahh said, “If McCain is elected, say goodbye to Roe V. Wade and hello to back-alley abortions.”
If you think this is true, you must not have been listening to what McCain said. The reversal of RvW does NOT make abortion illegal in the United States. McCain believes that abortion should be left for the state governments to decide, not the National government. I agree with him.

Pat Napolitano: And Obama wasn’t brought up poor either. His mother was a college graduate and the story she was on food stamps is one of the hottest lies there ever was. Get a copy of his BIO from the NYT. His grandmother put him thru Harvard college and he didn’t have to work. His grandmother supported him that’s where he got the money for drugs and booze. McCain didn’t come into wealth he earned his way. Cindy was the beneficiary of her father’s estate. Everyone’s family don’t have that kind of money and people shouldn’t get jealous of other people that do. The Kennedy’s have money because Ted Kennedy’s father knew how to make money. And the same with Kerry’s wife. She inherited the Heinz from her first husband’s death but Kerry had about four million of his own. To learn is to earn.

hanson, you are so naive to trust the Rasmussen poll or a lot of these polls that show Obama up by 12% in PA, etc. Why? Because, they don’t provide the samples and when they actually do, often each has a significant swing of voters who voted Dem in the last election! A 7% leaning that way can distort the results
If you look at the last couple of elections, all you have to do is see how off the polls get. Remember how shocked Kerry was and the lib pundits when he lost and lost as much as he did? They forgot about their own liberal media bias in these polls!
And, btw, Vickie, I doubt you’ve ever been Republican. You clearly don’t get it.

Paul L. That sends a good message. Where have you been. Either you don’t understand the candidate when their campaigning or you don’t know one thing about politics. McCain is not as aggressive as Palin and he should have chosen her months ago. He waited too long. Wrong decisions make mistakes. Palin is a go getter and knows how to campaign strong. When Obama is campaigning he tends to sound like MLK in his speeches and that’s whose shoes he wants to walk in. But he never will. That’s why he wants to be president. He wants to make history for himself and to hell with the people of this country. He cares less about them.

In Sarah Palin’s church, while Sarah Plain was sitting in church, pastors have preached that Jews deserve being attacked in Israel, that it was God’s punishment for them for being Christians.
Less than two weeks before Palin was chosen as John McCain’s running mate, she sat in the congregation at Wasilla Bible Church as David Brickner, executive director of Jews for Jesus, suggested that violence in Israel was part of God’s judgment on non-Christians. THIS IS WHAT HE SAID: “But what we see in Israel the conflict that is spilled out throughout the Middle East … is an ongoing reflection of the fact that there is judgment. … When Jesus was standing in the temple, he spoke that that judgment was coming, that there’s a reality to the judgment of unbelief.”
SARAH PALIN at one time at her church even joined a pastor on stage who had preached negatively about “Israelite” control of the financial sector.

It is interesting to note the Palin smoke screen.
“Please do not look at my tax information, look at Rev. Wright.”
Sarah Six-Pack made almost $200,000 last year. (She only reported about $100,000 of it). Her husband made almost $100,000 as well.
No one I ever crack a beer with makes that kind of money.

Palin calls Afghanistan “our neighboring country”
Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin called Afghanistan “our neighboring country” on Sunday in a speech that could revive questions over her tendency to stumble into linguistic knots.
Three days after a mostly gaffe-free debate performance, the Alaska governor fumbled during a speech in which she praised U.S. soldiers for “fighting terrorism and protecting us and our democratic values”.
“They are also building schools for the Afghan children so that there is hope and opportunity in our neighboring country of Afghanistan,” she told several hundred supporters at a fundraising event in San Francisco.

He is half Kenyan and their has that Kenyan blood in him. They are ruthless and dangerous when mad. In all my years of voting he is the worst candidate that ever ran for office of this country. A Harvard graduate doesn’t mean your smart. He was smart in dealing with crooks and bombers that’s how he made a lot of his money. He also was street smart because he was on the streets trying to organize himself for the presidency. And Ayers was the one who helped him. He not only gave him donations Obama was at his house for dinner several times and is co-chairman with Ayers for an organization. After Ayers gave him 3/4 of the money to buy his house he has deserted him. That’s Obama for you. Give me all you got then leave. And he’s that type.

John McCain is totally loyal to this country and so is his wife. That is the first requirement for being President. Loyalty to the US. Ask Obama who paid for Harvard for him…he won’t say but it was funded by Palestinian Terrorists. Check it out yourself. This man is not an American. He hates this country and he will ruin it, believe me. You must wake up from your Kennedy-esque dream and vote McCain. Keep Obama out of the White House.

If Palin is going to bring up Obama’s personal choices in friends. Then how come no one is talking about HER husband’s connection and membership to a Political group that wanted Alaska to break way from the “lower 48″ and the Country? The same Country that Palin talks about loving and being proud of, and yada yada yada. Breaking away from the United States, is not being a good Patriot. And Palin, spoke at the Alaska Independence Party conferences.
I’m sorry but this woman has no room to talk about Obama’s patriotism.
And by doing so she looks cheap and like a two faced high school cheerleader. Her speeches, winks, lack of saying the “g’s” at the end of words, and interviews have done nothing for “breaking the glass ceiling” of women in politics. She looks and acts like a prom queen and not like an intelligent woman ready to take on World leaders, and major issues. Tina Fey was dead on when asking about the talent competetion. Mrs. Palin is treating this whole thing like a beauty contest.
As a woman who went to an all girls college, and grew up with and worked along side of powerful women role models I can tell you Sarah Palin is not one. And it saddens me. Esp. because I was taught that as a woman it was OK to be smarter then your male counterparts, and that you should rely on your brains to get ahead, not on shameless flirting. And Palin is doing exactly that..her winks are shameless flirting.
After watching the debate, her ABC and CBS interviews, and the speech at the RNC I’m sad to say that I am not surprised that her 16 year old daughter got pregnant. If she had her mother as a role model, who isn’t above flirting and acting like a beauty queen.
This woman is a disgrace to all of the powerful women in politics. And as much of a role model to young girls and woman as a Barbie doll.

The GOP tries to portray themselves as the “righteous” group, representing Christian values, but their behavior and the words they speak show otherwise. The first words Palin muttered to America as as she entered the campaign, mocked and treated Obama’s work as if it were a joke. The GOP has not showed simple honor and respect where it is due. I have seen more Christian-like behavior, more character, more integrity, more simple human respect from the Obama camp. That’s why I’m voting for Obama!

BEYOND EMBASSING, MCCAIN IS PATHETIC !!!
First The Savings and Loan and Now Wall Street. No Maverick. Corrupt McCain.
From the Wikipedia. Unlike McCain’s Lies, This is The Truth. Same McCain, Different Failure. Our Country cannot afford McCain/Palin.
The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The five senators, Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), John McCain (R-AZ), and Donald W. Riegle (D-MI), were accused of improperly aiding Charles H. Keating, Jr., chairman of the failed Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was the target of an investigation by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB).
The core allegation of the Keating Five affair is that Keating had made contributions of about $1.3 million to various U.S. Senators, and he called on those Senators to help him resist regulators. The regulators backed off, to later disastrous consequences.

For the sake of America and the world, may I suggest that from this moment on you should turn to support Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden for a new direction. Do you know how many millions of people are living in silent pains and sufferings and praying to Gods for a change. Be brave to do so for a better livelihood for ordinary citizens. Lyle

THE ONLY REASON SARAH PALIN LEFT THE AIP TO JOIN GOP WAS TO BECOME VIABLE
PALIN THE RADICAL
Palin is a radical disguised as a GOP scoccer mom
The Alaskan Independence Party and Palin””””””””s Connection
In October 2007, AIP””””””””s vice chairman Dexter Clark was recorded on another video saying that, “Palin had been a registered member of AIP before switching to the GOP to be viable.
The founder of the AIP, Joe Vogler, who died in a plastic-explosives accident (but that”s a whole other story) is clearly a radical simply by his own words.
ABC and CBS reported that Vogler said, “I”m an Alaskan, not an American. I”ve no use for America or her damned institutions.” He also said that “the fires of Hell are glaciers compared to my hate for the American government.”

That minister was just a visiting minister and who knows when somebody starts praying for you, where it’s gonna end up, LOL. At least he didn’t scream racist remarks against white people and say the American government created aids to infect black men. And the whole church wasn’t standing up hooting and hollering in joy at the rev. putting down white people. Let’s face it, Obama sat in a racist church for more than 20 years and there’s no way to spin it. I’ve also been reading Dreams of My Father and he sure sounds like he’s got the hatin’ on for white people in that book.

Obama does not have to answer to McCain, he only has to answer to the American people and he tells me EVERYTHING I want to hear. ;-)I am saying “LALALALALA” to anything negative to my President Obama!! ;-)

get over it , their agenda is more important than to run a clean campaign, McCain want’s wars and Palin want her Holy wars ,neither one understand and wants America to be fically strong, neither one of them understands the ecomony, nor do they care. “beware!

Sarah Palin is toxic, and by choosing her as his running mate, McCain has completely destroyed his credibility as a presidential candidate. Every time I see one of their attack ads (full of lies and distortion), and hear McCain say, “I’m John McCain, and I approved this message,” I say, “and you should be ashamed of yourself!” Though I disagree with many of his positions, I used to have respect for McCain, but no more. He’s shown that he’s just like any other Republican and will do or say ANYTHING to get elected. He has no honor.

Sarah Palin is right! Rev. Wright should be brought out again! NO ONE can sit and listen to a minister preach every Sunday for 20 years without knowing what is being preached and without agreeing with him! It doesn’t make sense! I think Barack Obama lied when he said that he didn’t know what Rev. Wright preached! Rev. Wright preached too loud for ANYONE to sleep during HIS sermons! This definitely needs to be brought out again and they also should bring out the stuff about all of Barack Obama’s other associates too!

And now,the only choice is Barack Obama

If Reverend Wright is fair game this late in the campaigns with election day around the corner, then troopergate and Palin’s preacher man who believes in and prays to protect Palin from witchcraft is also fair game. So is the Palin’s belief, her church, that a homosexual can be prayed over and made into a heterosexual. Fair game is McCain’s ties to terrorists during Iran-Contra affair, his Keating scandal, and more. Palin just needs to shut her pie hole as nothing intelligent seems to emerge from those thin lying old lips.

Sarah – you’re gonna talk to the people of Michigan about Rev. Wright and this is supposed to help them from hurting? How exactly is that gonna work? Are you bringing energy jobs to Michigan? Are you going to resurrect Detroit’s failing auto industry? Sarah – the real issue is the economy, stupid. It has nothing to do with Rev. Wright who Obama has already written off long ago. No one can control what another person says. It’s a free country. If this is all you have, both you and John are in real trouble this November.

I’m a registered Republican, and McCain’s choice of Palin for VP has completely alienated me from him and his extremist running mate. She wants to resurrect that old (failed) attempt at tying Obama to Wright?
Fine; let’s look at how much influence Palin’s church has with her, the witch doctor that blessed her, her use of church members in official positions as both Mayor and Governor, etc, etc. The media already investigated Obama and Wright, but they’ve avoided Palin’s sordid past and barely brushed the surface there!
Go on Sarah honey, dig in; you and McCain will lose by historic levels instead of just losing badly.

The best assessment of the Biden-Palin vice presidential debate came from the highly-respected NBC anchor Tom Brokaw who, right after the debate, said:
“The democrats must be happy that there is only one vice presidential debate.”
Gov. Palin has more experience than Barack Obama. By any mesaure, Gov. Palin is more knowledgeable about government and governance than Obama. That is a fact.
I don’t have any confidence in Barack Hussein Obama. Period. Especially with the type of dangerous mentors and close friends like Rev. Wright, Rezko and Ayers that Obama has, I don’t trust him at all.
If the chioice comes between a shady and an inexperienced democrat like Barack Hussein Obama and the guy on the other side, I will vote for a true American and patriotic Republican like John McCain in any election.
Being a democrat will never compel me to vote for an unqualified celebrity like Barack Hussein Obama. I need and will definitely vote for a true leader either like Hillary Clinton or John McCain.

Hey, you think you could get her to ACTUALLY answer questions if they did have another debate??

McCain slapped the American women in the face when he sided with his counterparts in choosing Palin as his VP of choice. Now he and she are using “racist tactics” and false statements to put Obama and his family in harms way.
McCain is suppost to be an American Patriot and yet he comes off now looking like “Hitler” in disguise with Palin as his SPOKESPERSON!! Allowing comments from Palin to achieve “lets kill him threats” was beyond what someone running for President of The United States should have done!!
Palins disagreements with McCain now should be a bullseye to what she would do if elected VP of this great country.
She even calls Americans “joe sixpacks”. Shes an insult to women across America, and her trying to sound like one “daisy duke” with her fake smile, is another insult to us country gals across the USA!! If this is what McCain and Palin have in store for us if elected, we all need to start packing now!!
How many people realize now that McCain voted for the Bailout because it had an earmark in it for Palin? Tax breaks for Alaskan Fishermen!! Shame on McCain!!

” I question the patriotism of both Sarah and Todd Palin. It’s no secret that Alaskan’s have no respect for those of us who live in the ‘lower 48‘. But the part that really troubles me is the assoication and membership that both Sarah and Todd have in the Alaska Independant Party which calls for Alaska to secede from the United States.
AIP founder, Joe Vogler has made the following comments regarding seceding and the United States in general:
“The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government,” and “And I won’t be buried under their damn flag,”
Sarah and Todd Palin have never repudiated or distanced themselves from those statements.

I find it amazing that there is no little coverage of the Palin rally where she talked about Obama and Ayers over a chant of “Kill Them” “Kill Him” Doesn’t the first amendment have some taboos about inciting to riot or commit murder?
If an Obama rally chanted “KIll Him” talking about McCain, it would be lynching time!
I am getting a little tired of the double standard.
As for Ayers, anyone who has dealt with education reform in Illinois in the past thirty years has dealt with Ayers. Want some pictures of him with a couple of republican governors, senators, etc., republican secretary of education?
Incidentally the project that Ayers and Obama workedon was funded by —–A REPUBLICAN!
Is character counts, ask McCain why he turned tail and ran after precipitating a major fire on the Forrestal. Everyone else, pilots, included, all ranks, went to pitch in on fire control after an explosion took out the first responders. All that is except McChicken who ran like the devil was after him. Talk to the deck frew of the Forrestal if you want to hear the real story of his Navy service. (You can only stand so many references to Admiral Daddy…..)
Can’t we talk about issued for a while?

The Real Obama
By Thomas Sowell
Critics of Senator Barack Obama make a strategic mistake when they talk about his “past associations.” That just gives his many defenders in the media an opportunity to counter-attack against “guilt by association.”
We all have associations, whether at the office, in our neighborhood or in various recreational activities. Most of us neither know nor care what our associates believe or say about politics.
Associations are very different from alliances. Allies are not just people who happen to be where you are or who happen to be doing the same things you do. You choose allies deliberately for a reason. The kind of allies you choose says something about you.
Jeremiah Wright, Father Michael Pfleger, William Ayers and Antoin Rezko are not just people who happened to be at the same place at the same time as Barack Obama. They are people with whom he chose to ally himself for years, and with some of whom some serious money changed hands.
Some gave political support, and some gave financial support, to Obama’s election campaigns, and Obama in turn contributed either his own money or the taxpayers’ money to some of them. That is a familiar political alliance– but an alliance is not just an “association” from being at the same place at the same time.
Obama could have allied himself with all sorts of other people. But, time and again, he allied himself with people who openly expressed their hatred of America. No amount of flags on his campaign platforms this election year can change that.
Unfortunately, all that most people know about Barack Obama is his own rhetoric and that of his critics. Moreover, some of his more irresponsible critics have made wild accusations– that he is not an American citizen or that he is a Muslim, for example.
All that such false charges do is discredit Obama’s critics in general. Fortunately, there is a documented, factual account of what Barack Obama has actually been doing over the years, as distinguished from what he has been saying during this election campaign, in a new best-selling book.
That book is titled “The Case Against Barack Obama” by David Freddoso. He starts off in the introduction by repudiating those critics of Obama who “have been content merely to slander him– to claim falsely that he refuses to salute the U.S. flag or was sworn into office on a Koran, or that he was born in a foreign country.”
This is a serious book with 35 pages of documentation in the back to support the things said in the main text. In other words, if you don’t believe what the author says, he lets you know where you can go check it out.
Barack Obama’s being the first serious black candidate for President of the United States is what most people consider remarkable but how he got there is at least equally surprising.
The story of Obama’s political career is not a pretty story. He won his first political victory by being the only candidate on the ballot– after hiring someone skilled at disqualifying the signers of opposing candidates’ petitions, on whatever technicality he could come up with.
Despite his words today about “change” and “cleaning up the mess in Washington,” Obama was not on the side of reformers who were trying to change the status quo of corrupt, machine politics in Chicago and clean up the mess there. Obama came out in favor of the Daley machine and against reform candidates.
Senator Obama is running on an image that is directly the opposite of what he has been doing for two decades. His escapes from his past have been as remarkable as the great escapes of Houdini.
Why much of the public and the media have been so mesmerized by the words and the image of Obama, and so little interested in learning about the factual reality, was perhaps best explained by an official of the Democratic Party: “People don’t come to Obama for what he’s done, they come because of what they hope he can be.”
David Freddoso’s book should be read by those people who want to know what the facts are. But neither this book nor anything else is likely to change the minds of Obama’s true believers, who have made up their minds and don’t want to be confused by the facts.

Muthee is not all all someone we should be questioning, after it is the rev.Muthee who laid hands on her while at her church of 22years she being a member of lets look into her religous beliefs and background, I’ll bet what you find is for mor shocking than the ranting and raving the Rev. Wright spewed of which Sen. Obama has more than once repudiated. What has Palin done to distance herself from this self proclaimed WITCH-HUNTER hmmmm maybe it’s because she is actually the witch in which he was trying to get rid of,lets look a lot deeper into her unknown background as well maybe you Republicans want find her so appealing after all. She can sling mud but can’t take it, my suggestion to her is stop being a potty mouth for McCain cause in the she is also in the minority when it comes to this white male dominated republican party. further- to whomever says that relationships do not matter, I am sorry- MY past/present relationships/associations do not matter-YOUR past and present relationships/associations do not matter BUT the relationships and associations of a presidential candidate DO matter. I do not want some extremists making decisions for me, whether it be in Congress or the White House…. and you are right, this should not be about race, if you happen to be African-American- you don’t have to vote for Obama because he is HALF African-American… which is also played down in the media so as we forget that he is half white.

Posted by: lorie | October 7, 2008, 1:29 pm 1:29 pm

Obama is a poser- he is not from a traditional African-American family, he spent his formative years outside of this country, his father was not American-
this from his grandmothers wikipedia site:
On March 18, 2008, in a speech on race relations in Philadelphia in the wake of controversial videos of Obama’s pastor Jeremiah Wright surfacing, Obama described his grandmother:
I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother – a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.[16]
On March 20, 2008, in a radio interview on Philadelphia’s WIP (AM), Obama explained this remark by saying:
The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity – she doesn’t. But she is a typical white person, who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn’t know…there’s a reaction that’s been bred into our experiences that don’t go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way, and that’s just the nature of race in our society”.[17][18]
Obama’s use of the phrase “typical white person” was highlighted by a gossip columnist for the Philadelphia Daily News and subsequently picked up by commentators on the Huffington Post blog, ABC News and other media outlets.[19][20][21][22] Several of the commentators suggested that if Hillary Clinton had used the phrase “typical black person” the public response would have been different.[19][20] In a CNN interview, when Larry King asked him to clarify the “typical white person” remark, Obama said:
Well, what I meant really was that some of the fears of street crime and some of the stereotypes that go along with that were responses that I think many people feel. She’s not extraordinary in that regard. She is somebody that I love as much as anybody. I mean, she has literally helped to raise me. But those are fears that are embedded in our culture, and embedded in our society, and even within our own families, even within a family like mine that is diverse.[22]
Madelyn Dunham apparently did not express these views in public. Dennis Ching, who worked with her for more than 40 years, “never heard her say anything like that. I never heard her say anything negative about anything. And she never swore.” Hawaiian State Senator Sam Slom, who worked with her at the Bank of Hawaii, said “I never heard Madelyn say anything disparaging about people of African ancestry or Asian ancestry or anybody’s ancestry.” [4]

Let’s face it, no republican or democrat will change their vote no matter what we say here.
The reality is that McCain has come short so far and he has inherited a very large stone around his neck, the present administration and a worsening economy. It is not fair to blame the Republican administration for this mess but most people will and the people that counts, the independent voter will.
This race is over, we just have to count the votes.

Posted by: Luis Hong | October 7, 2008, 1:39 pm 1:39 pm

I don’t think this race is over, I think most Republicans do not voice their opinions and I know they aren’t polled, because, probably 75% of the people I know are voting for McCain and none of them have been polled.
I don’t believe, either, that if you are a Christian, you can vote for the liberal side of things, it is too far left and if you are anything like me, my faith is a part of me, separation of church and state aside, my beliefs make me who I am, I can’t go against what I stand for, what is in my heart. I don’t trust Obama or the things he says. Watch fox news… get the story from all sides, not just the main stream liberal media. They are the big joke here.

Does Palin really want to get into character discussions?! She should discuss the fact that she took 7 months to acknowledge her pregnancy with Trig, the one in which he was pre-natally diagnosed with Down Syndrome; the one in which she barely gained weight and seemingly didn’t take care of her body the way she did with past pregnancies; the same one in which she thought it was safe to take an 8 hour flight while in labor. No sane mother I know would be that careless with her pregnancy… To me, that speaks more about her character than her religious or personal relationships.

Posted by: Jodi | October 7, 2008, 1:47 pm 1:47 pm

so Jodi, you know Sarah then huh? to pass judgment on what she did or didn’t do when she was pregnant? Maybe for some period of time she didn’t know she was pregnant, maybe she was concerned that the people of Alaska would frown on it, maybe its none of your business, it doesn’t affect the way she was running the state and it is overly apparent when you see that family, that they love that little boy. I suppose if it were you you would have aborted him when you found out he had downs. Don’t give her or her husband any credit for accepting the situation and having the little boy anyway.

And Lorie…btw…I would NOT have aborted that child! Yes, I AM pro-choice, but I personally would not have an abortion. But I don’t think anyone should be able to tell me it’s not my legal right to do so. This is what so many people ignore about pro-choice believers.
So, don’t pass judgement on ME! You don’t know me. Cuz that would then make you a hypocrite.

Ok I get the Hockey Mom thing but I’m not sure about “Joe Sixpack” Does this refer to guys with tight abs or guys who drink six-packs of beer??? We have neither in my neighborhood. Joe Kegger or Willie the Fifth, maybe.Although she is cute ,adorable, and folksy I still think she is a Slap in the Face to all the women in this country that have worked so hard to rise above the “glass ceiling. And she wants the VP to have more power than before…..someone please give a SHOUT OUT! VOTE AGAINST PALIN !

Palin has turned to McCarthyist tactics. I’m disgusted by the mob mentality of her supporters. Both sides need to back off, but at this point I’m blaming McCain’s campaign – they went overboard this weekend.
And they claim to be Uniters?

Once again the team of mavericks are at it. this time it got VERY SERIOUS. Palins little hate rally in Florida got the hatered of a United States Senator brought front and center Calling for presidential nominee Barck Obama’s DEATH This is indeed the LOWEST of the lows we have all seen from the GOP’s nominees during this campaign. I wonder IF the Secret Service took Gov. Palin aside afterwards for a lecture on security for ALL the candidates?

Both McCain and Palin need to show some leadership and get control over their supporters who went overboard with the racial slurs and death threat which was apparently directed towards Obama. The Rebublican Party is resorting to mob rule. An apology from the McCain campaign would be helpful.

I thought Mccain had a country first attitude! It looks like its COUNTRY FIRST, ONLY, if he is leading in his presidential campaign! If, he is losing, @#!% the country; the economy, peoples plight, and wall street, SHOULD BE HIS FOCUS, not SPEECHES THAT FOSTER RACIST UNDERTONES, race hatred, fear mongering and instigations that may cause violent behavior! IF THIS IS WHAT JOHN MCCAIN CALLS COUNTRY FIRST, THEN THE COUNTRY WILL LOSE UNDER HIS ADMINISTRATION! The Washington Post article reported that Palin supporters yelled racist comments at minority attendees at a rally yesterday! Palin blamed Katie Couric’s questions for her less than successful interview with mainstream media.

…McCAIN’S TIES TO TERRORISTS…McCain has past connections to a private group that supplied aid to guerrillas seeking to overthrow the leftist government of Nicaragua in the Iran-Contra affair…l

McCain is and old, hot-headed foul-mouthed trigger-happy elite rich guy who thinks it’s funny to lie to those dumb Republicans.

Obama is the man of vision and will revitalize the American dream.

All you people are missing the point, I believe that its a choice of the lesser evil, not who is honest or experienced. The truth is that our world is in a delicate place now, where Americans are no longer free and take the smallest things for granted. I am not that smart of an individual and i can see that McCain is the only choice not necessarily a good one but we need his security abilities to protect our lazy complacent ways. We need to ask ourselves who would our enemies like to see in office and pick the other. They will fear McCain and hopefully give us four more years to find someone worthy of the American people. Our enemies will not fear or respect Obama and they will view this as a weekness. Our economy will mean nothing if the terrorist get there way. Life as we know will end. For our children not ourselves please put McCain in office and let the search go on for the right person for four more years. Your point of views are all trivial compared to the survival of our country and children.
THIS WAS NOT APPROVED BY ANYONE!!!!!!!!

“Obama is the man of vision and will revitalize the American dream.”
Oh please, the destruction of us all.
It’s funny how he gets you all worked up about the economy and he lies about McCain that he voted for our own jobs in the U.S. to go oveseas, and it’s not even close of being true. The REAL reason why most of our jobs here are being shipped overseas is because there are lower taxes over there and there are higher taxes over here.
And he has just brainwashed this country in his “fantasy world”
And people talk about McCain being old,
well look at the vice presidential nominee Joe Biden.
And Obama being inexperienced, well so is sarah palin as well.
SO LIKELY PEOPLE, IT’S VICE VERSA ON BOTH SIDES OF THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION!!!!!
