Palin to Release Medical Information Early This Week

Alaska enters its 50th-anniversary year in the glow of an improbable and highly memorable event: the nomination of Gov. Sarah Palin as the Republican vice presidential candidate. For the first time ever, an Alaskan is making a serious bid for national office, and in doing so she brings broad attention and recognition not only to herself, but also to the state she leads.
Alaska’s founders were optimistic people, but even the most farsighted might have been stretched to imagine this scenario. No matter the outcome in November, this election will mark a signal moment in the history of the 49th state. Many Alaskans are proud to see their governor, and their state, so prominent on the national stage.
Gov. Palin’s nomination clearly alters the landscape for Alaskans as we survey this race for the presidency — but it does not overwhelm all other judgment. The election, after all is said and done, is not about Sarah Palin, and our sober view is that her running mate, Sen. John McCain, is the wrong choice for president at this critical time for our nation.
Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee, brings far more promise to the office. In a time of grave economic crisis, he displays thoughtful analysis, enlists wise counsel and operates with a cool, steady hand. The same cannot be said of Sen. McCain.
Since his early acknowledgement that economic policy is not his strong suit, Sen. McCain has stumbled and fumbled badly in dealing with the accelerating crisis as it emerged. He declared that “the fundamentals of our economy are strong” at 9 a.m. one day and by 11 a.m. was describing an economy in crisis. He is both a longtime advocate of less market regulation and a supporter of the huge taxpayer-funded Wall Street bailout. His behavior in this crisis — erratic is a kind description — shows him to be ill-equipped to lead the essential effort of reining in a runaway financial system and setting an anxious nation on course to economic recovery.
Sen. Obama warned regulators and the nation 19 months ago that the subprime lending crisis was a disaster in the making. Sen. McCain backed tighter rules for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but didn’t do much to advance that legislation. Of the two candidates, Sen. Obama better understands the mortgage meltdown’s root causes and has the judgment and intelligence to shape a solution, as well as the leadership to rally the country behind it. It is easy to look at Sen. Obama and see a return to the smart, bipartisan economic policies of the last Democratic administration in Washington, which left the country with the momentum of growth and a budget surplus that President George Bush has squandered.
On the most important issue of the day, Sen. Obama is a clear choice.
Sen. McCain describes himself as a maverick, by which he seems to mean that he spent 25 years trying unsuccessfully to persuade his own party to follow his bipartisan, centrist lead. Sadly, maverick John McCain didn’t show up for the campaign. Instead we have candidate McCain, who embraces the extreme Republican orthodoxy he once resisted and cynically asks Americans to buy for another four years.
It is Sen. Obama who truly promises fundamental change in Washington. You need look no further than the guilt-by-association lies and sound-bite distortions of the degenerating McCain campaign to see how readily he embraces the divisive, fear-mongering tactics of Karl Rove. And while Sen. McCain points to the fragile success of the troop surge in stabilizing conditions in Iraq, it is also plain that he was fundamentally wrong about the more crucial early decisions. Contrary to his assurances, we were not greeted as liberators; it was not a short, easy war; and Americans — not Iraqi oil — have had to pay for it. It was Sen. Obama who more clearly saw the danger ahead.
The unqualified endorsement of Sen. Obama by a seasoned, respected soldier and diplomat like Gen. Colin Powell, a Republican icon, should reassure all Americans that the Democratic candidate will pass muster as commander in chief.
On a matter of parochial interest, Sen. Obama opposes the opening of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, but so does Sen. McCain. We think both are wrong, and hope a President Obama can be convinced to support environmentally responsible development of that resource.
Gov. Palin has shown the country why she has been so successful in her young political career. Passionate, charismatic and indefatigable, she draws huge crowds and sows excitement in her wake. She has made it clear she’s a force to be reckoned with, and you can be sure politicians and political professionals across the country have taken note. Her future, in Alaska and on the national stage, seems certain to be played out in the limelight.
Yet despite her formidable gifts, few who have worked closely with the governor would argue she is truly ready to assume command of the most important, powerful nation on earth. To step in and juggle the demands of an economic meltdown, two deadly wars and a deteriorating climate crisis would stretch the governor beyond her range. Like picking Sen. McCain for president, putting her one 72-year-old heartbeat from the leadership of the free world is just too risky at this time.

“Actions speak louder than words.”
This famous saying is quite true. Palin’s *said* she is okay with her medical records being released, but her *actions* speak differently since those records have not be released for nearly a week after she said it was okay.
In the end, she’s just all talk and no action. I doubtful her med records will be release at all, and if they were, it would be perhaps after the election and only if her side won. Until then, it would be too late.
So it’s clear she has something to hide. If she was in good health, her records should have been released within two days after she said it was okay. Why did not do this?

My wife and I are both in the military. She is serving her 26th year and Im on my 29th. One year to go for me. We have always voted fot the Republican ticket in the past even though we are Independent. After keeping up with this campaine and researching everything we could, we will be supporting Obama. McCain served his country with honor, but that in itself doesnt mean he will be a good President. What really sent us over the edge was the pick of Palin. The thought that she could be our Commander in Chief one day is scarey. Both Kennedy and Reagan were great at deplomacy and the Berlin Wall came down and we prevented a war with the Soviets during the Cuban missle crisis due to having brains in the White House that believed in deplomacy first.At one point Kennedy’s four Generals and Chief of Staff were pressuring Kennedy to attack. Kennedy didnt fall to the pressure and used is brains and deplomacy to possibly stop a war and it worked. Does anyone acually believe, if McCain and Palin had been in office that they would have gone against their Generals and used deplomacy. I think not. If something were to happen to McCain, Palin would be in charge of the most powerful military in the world. I know about the Alaska National Guard but I also know she as never given them one single command. My Wife and I are sure in our beliefs that if McCain and Palin are elected, at the least, we would just continue with Bush policies or even worse. Obama believes not only in deplomacy first, before conflict, and has the brains to make it work. He will keep our military strong and country safe and will help fix the the worlds view of us. I voted early & I voted for Obama! I love voting early – I get such a great sense of satisfaction for the two weeks before election day. I already did my part to change this country for the better. Off with their heads. We’ve had enough of the rich republican regime. Sure, the rich pay most of the taxes in this country – but shouldn’t they? They are rich off the toil of others… they should contribute to the well-being and low level of prosperity of the society and people that made them rich and allow them to stay rich.

Various forms of socialism are working pretty well for many citizens living around the world. US citizens never signed up for the current, broken, system, it was imposed on them. It is time for a revision. At minimum, citizens should demand affordable health care and a decent retirement system of their governments. If that requires higher taxes to those who make a fortune already, that’s the way it should be. If those folks don’t like it, they have the means to move elsewhere. Somebody else with a better attitude will take their place.

McCain camp has been upset lately that Palin is not following the program they set up for her. When she gets out and talk, she is pushing her own agenda, according to a recent letter that aired from a member of the McCain camp who had some harsh words about Palin.

Obama was the head of the Harvard Law review. A much coveted and very prestigious position. His competition for that position has given interviews on TV and Radio more than once atteating to his credits and worthiness for this position and provided the details on the college he attended. This was on stations like NPR… other than the likes of Fox News. DSo you likely missed it. This honor does not go to people who do not are attending local community colleges. If Obama was not qualified , it would have been news long before this point in the campaign.
Secondly, his health isn’t in question. Much like McCain’s is. He’s 72 years old has had multiple bouts with skin cancer and heart problems. And he has selected a vapid beauty queen to step in for him in leading the nation should his next health issue prove fatal. Where are his complete medical records? And how has he protected America in the event he can’t carry out his term?

I am from Texas a very conservative republican state. I am a working mother and wife. I am a strong Christian. I am standing up to say that a woman who perpetuates hatred towards any American standing up and dedicating himself and his family to govern America DOES NOT represent or inspire me. For Sarah Palin to not address those at her rallies shouting foul and hate based comments is NOT STANDING AS A CHRISTIAN. To disagree on issues and to debate your views does not seem to be something she can do effectively. She laughs at and nods her head when some of the few people at her rallies spew their foulness. What does this say about her. That she doen not say NO. Lets talk issues not hate. She is just the most recent tool of terrorism. She fuels fear and hatred the very same thing the terrorists around the world do. In America it is ok to disagree but we as a people must live the way of Jesus Christ and never perpetuate violence and terror. She is NOT a role model for me or my daughters.

Now Sarah Palin in the mean time is married to Todd Palin. Recently while married to Sarah, Todd was a member of the Alaskan Independent group that wanted to be independent of the USA. They wanted to Break away from the USA.
Todd’s group did and do refuse to ‘Pledge Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America’.

Reading the endorsements of Obama in the liberal media should strengthen the determination of all believers in American self-government and greatness to fight this election campaign to the end. Bush in 2000, and by a non-incumbent Democrat since Jimmy Carter in 1976. Do the Obama acolytes want to hold up the Bush or Carter administrations as models for the proposition that a good campaign translates into a good presidency?
We also hear a lot of squeaking from rats deserting the McCain ship about Barack Obama’s exemplary temperament. So what? If he’d had his way, Obama would have lost the war in Iraq–with equanimity. He would have been calm, cool, and collected as U.S. interests were sacrificed and U.S. honor besmirched. Neville Chamberlain also had a fine temperament and a good intellect. Joe Biden, by the way, has neither. But he did–much as he now wishes people to forget it–support the Iraq war. These days, he can barely be bothered even to mention Iraq. If one is going to run for President, then that person had better be willing to be VERY forthcoming with all of these aspects of their life. If any candidate has trouble providing proof, and I mean certifiable proof, in any of these areas, it should be a red flag to the news media and an investigation should be done to find out the truth, even if it concerns a favored candidate. THEN REPORT THE TRUTH AS SOON AS IT IS KNOWN.

I have no problem with a candidate releasing only a physician’s summary of his or her health, provided that the candidate is under a certain age and has no known serious health issues.
So although I despise Sarah Palin, I would have no problem with her doing what Obama did. Both candidates are young and have no known history of serious illness.
However, both Biden and McCain are older and have had serious health problems, so releasing their full health records in their cases is appropriate.

and when will Obama make the rest of his available? We need more than a 1 page summary, he is not better than anyone else. Everyone is making pages and pages of information available and he needs to do the same.

I just saw McCain giving one of his speeches on TV. While McCain is hammering away at Obama and is shouting what he thinks Obama’s plan will mean, there is a young lady, girl, standing behind McCain.

I don’t really care about their medical records. A note from a doctor saying they are in good health and not dying of some illness. chris77030, unfortunately you are right about Down Syndrome children. I used to work with Down Syndrome children and have known several families that suffered acutely — and sometimes disintegrated — because they had a Down Syndrome child.
All we generally hear is how wonderfully loving children with Down Syndrome can be. That is often true, but it’s not the whole story.
What usually happens is that parents don’t understand the challenges of raising such a child — and may not have the emotional or financial resources to do so. Usually the eldest daughters of such families end up being the child’s unpaid — and eventually unwilling — caretaker.
And with advances in medicine, people with Down Syndrome are now outliving their parents. Who is supposed to take care of these people?
I’m certainly not advocating euthanasia for infants with Down Syndrome — but I think any woman who has a child after age 40 and is unwilling to abort a defective fetus is committing a morally irresponsible act.

Funny thing is, and not the laughing type funny, is now Palin is pretending to be the injured party when she and McCain viciously attacked Obama giving rise to hate rallies that looked more like the days of such white segregationists as George Wallace and a host of others. The Democratic presidential candidate’s language, posture and demeanor suggest that he may suffer from narcissistic personality disorder, or NPD. NPD is a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration and a lack of empathy. The following are some of the symptoms of NPD that can be seen in Sen. Obama:
He subtly misrepresents facts, opportunistically shifts positions, ignores data that conflict with his fantasy world, is overly confident and acts presidential despite commensurate merits and his modest life achievements, considers himself above the law, talks about himself in the third person, has a messianic vision of himself and his “mission,” displays false modesty while often evincing haughtiness, sublimates aggression, holds grudges and behaves as an eternal adolescent. These are narcissistic traits as seen in Sen. Obama by Dr. Sam Vaknin. The author of “The Malignant Self Love,” Vaknin states, “Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist.”
NPD is the prime disorder experienced by all the madmen of history – from Hitler to Stalin, Mao, Kim, Pol Pot, Osama, Khomeini, Saddam and Idi Amin. These men wreaked havoc and killed millions. They looked normal. Few suspected their insanity until it was too late.
Obama shares something else with these infamous narcissists: a chaotic childhood. One determining factor in the development of NPD is childhood abuse, such as the neglecting of his or her emotional needs.
Pathological narcissism is not run-of-the-mill narcissism – someone with a hedonistic or self-centered sense of self – but rather someone with a very weak sense of self. He retreats into a bubble universe of fantasy, in which he is loved, respected and omnipotent. All children create such a fantasy world. Narcissists simply don’t leave it. Since, due to their extreme feeling of inferiority, they don’t fit in the real world, they refuge into this bubble world of fantasy and never get out. This world of pretence becomes to them as real as the real world, to the point that they can’t tell the difference. When Obama acts presidential, he is simply acting out his childhood fantasy of omnipotence and grandeur. Emotionally, he is still a hurt little boy neglected and unloved, in the body and mind of a grown up man.
Narcissists have the emotional maturity of a child, or even an animal, but the intellect of a man. They feel like a beast, but think like a human. What makes narcissists dangerous is their lack of conscience, combined with their superior intelligence and their superb performance ability that fool many. They are predators that outsmart you.
To a narcissist, reality and fantasy are intertwined. He does not just pretend to be omnipotent, omniscient and superior to others; he actually believes it to be so. His delusions of grandiosity are real to him. That is why Obama acts presidential, despite his nugatory life achievements, lack of experience and complete ignorance in economic, political and military matters, as his flip-flopping shows. Obama is a cipher, but in his mind and those of his worshipers, such as Oprah Winfrey, he is “the One,” the messiah who holds the key to all human sufferings.
Narcissism is not just a character flaw, but a mental disorder. Pathological narcissists are dangerous because they look normal and they are intelligent, when in reality they live in a bubble world of fantasy. It is this incoherence, this disjunction between reality and fantasy that makes them overly confident, self-assured and authoritative.
Narcissists disguise their feeling of inferiority by projecting unusual calmness, confidence, assertiveness, dominance and focus, and almost always possess superb thespian, communication and oratorical skills. These are traits that make one charismatic and attract a stampede of votaries like flies to sugar. Narcissists are needy people who crave attention. They develop these skills and act them out with regal exquisiteness to attract love, respect and admiration. They are performers, actors, slick chameleons.
Sadly, all the grace, exuberance, equanimity, charm, positive energy and magnetism that narcissists project, are pretence. They have the same function that the Styrofoam Greek columns at the Democratic National Convention had – to impress. The world of the narcissist is the magical world of smoke and mirrors. He is an illusionist.
NPD, and people’s lack of understanding of it, has made it possible for many insane individuals to rise to the pinnacles of power. It is to this disorder that we owe most of the carnage of history.
When the Bible describes Satan, it gives a textbook definition of narcissism. Narcissists are charming, charismatic, intelligent, persuasive, but deceitful and ruthless. They can seduce multitudes.
When World War II ended and its horrors became known, the world said, “Never Again.” “Never Again” can only work if we choose our leaders wisely. Once a madman is in power, it is already too late.
In an article entitled “Understanding Obama: The Making of a Fuhrer,” I have shown many narcissistic traits that can be observed in Sen. Obama. Should the senator have NPD, all issues in this election would pale in comparison to what is at stake.
Imagine someone with the mindset of Hitler, Khomeini or Kim Jong-il in the White House, with Congress and Senate at his feet. Can you think of a more dreadful scenario?
In the case of Hitler, the only issue that really mattered was his sanity. Instead, the Germans were hoodwinked by his charisma, his oratorical skill and his vacuous promises of change. They paid a hefty price for their negligence. Shouldn’t we learn from their mistakes?
It makes no sense that cops and pilots should be required to take psychiatric evaluation prior to being trusted with a gun or an aircraft, whereas there is no such requirement for those aspiring to run a country and be commander in chief, in charge of weapons of mass destruction.
It is time for the people of the world to demand that those who want to become head of any country submit to rigorous mental checkups. Millions of lives depend on the sanity of these leaders. If the physical health of presidential candidates is important, how much more important is their mental health?
There is no basis upon which to assume Obama would become a murderous tyrant, but there are a number of disturbing traits he shares with murderous world leaders that are worrisome. He can dispel our fears by submitting to a mental checkup.
In the spirit of fairness, I am asking all candidates to submit to this test. Psychiatric evaluation for leaders seeking positions of authority must become mandatory in all countries. Without it we are playing Russian roulette with war and our lives. Imagine how many millions of lives would have been spared only in the last century if aspiring leaders were screened and madmen barred from gaining power.

If enough people become concerned about Sen. Obama’s mental health, they may think twice before casting their votes for him.

With nothing to do but wait, I carried my luggage back downstairs and sat on the stoop. After a while, I reached into my back pocket, pulling out the letter I’d been carrying since leaving L.A. …
It was well past midnight by the time I crawled through a fence that led to an alleyway. I found a dry spot, propped my luggage beneath me, and fell asleep, the sound of drums softly shaping my dreams. In the morning, I woke up to find a white hen pecking at the garbage near my feet. Across the street, a homeless man was washing himself at an open hydrant and didn’t object when I joined him. There was still no one home at the apartment, but Sadik answered his phone when I called him and told me to catch a cab to his place on the Upper East Side.
He greeted me on the street, a short, well-built Pakistani who had come to New York from London two years earlier and found his caustic wit and unabashed desire to make money perfectly pitched to the city’s mood. He had overstayed his tourist visa and now made a living in New York’s high-turnover, illegal immigrant workforce, waiting on tables. As we entered the apartment I saw a woman in her underwear sitting at the kitchen table, a mirror and a razor blade pushed off to one side.
“Sophie,” Sadik started to say, “this is Barry –”

Sadik tipped his coffee cup toward me in mock salute, his eyes searching for any immediate signs of change. And in the coming months he would continue to observe me as I traveled, like a large lab rat, through the byways of Manhattan. He would suppress a grin when the seat I had offered to a middle-aged woman on the subway was snatched up by a burly young man. At Bloomingdale’s, he would lead me past human mannequins who spritzed perfume into the air and watch my reaction as I checked over the eye-popping price tags on winter coats. He would offer me lodging again when I gave up the apartment on 109th for lack of heat, and accompany me to Housing Court when it turned out that the sublessors of my second apartment had failed to pay the rent and run off with my deposit.
“Tooth and claw, Barack. Stop worrying about the rest of these bums out here and figure out how you’re going to make some money out of this fancy degree you’ll be getting.”
When Sadik lost his own lease, we moved in together. And after a few months of closer scrutiny, he began to realize that the city had indeed had an effect on me, although not the one he’d expected. I stopped getting high. I ran three miles a day and fasted on Sundays. For the first time in years, I applied myself to my studies and started keeping a journal of daily reflections and very bad poetry. Whenever Sadik tried to talk me into hitting a bar, I’d beg off with some tepid excuse, too much work or not enough cash. One day, before leaving the apartment in search of better company, he turned to me and offered his most scathing indictment.
“You’re becoming a bore.”
I knew he was right, although I wasn’t sure myself what exactly had happened. In a way, I was confirming Sadik’s estimation of the city’s allure, I suppose; its consequent power to corrupt. With the Wall Street boom, Manhattan was humming, new developments cropping up everywhere; men and women barely out of their twenties already enjoying ridiculous wealth, the fashion merchants fast on their heels. The beauty, the filth, the noise, and the excess, all of it dazzled my senses; there seemed no constraints on originality of lifestyles or the manufacture of desire-a more expensive restaurant, a finer suit of clothes, a more exclusive nightspot, a more beautiful woman, a more potent high. Uncertain of my ability to steer a course of moderation, fearful of falling into old habits, I took on the temperament if not the convictions of a street corner preacher, prepared to see temptation everywhere, ready to overrun a fragile will.
My reaction was more than just an attempt to curb an excessive appetite, though, or a response to sensory overload. Beneath the hum, the motion, I was seeing the steady fracturing of the world taking place. I had seen worse poverty in Indonesia and glimpsed the violent mood of inner-city kids in L.A.; I had grown accustomed, everywhere, to suspicion between the races. But whether because of New York’s density or because of its scale, it was only now that I began to grasp the almost mathematical precision with which America’s race and class problems joined; the depth, the ferocity, of resulting tribal wars; the bile that flowed freely not just out on the streets but in the stalls of Columbia’s bathrooms as well, where, no matter how many times the administration tried to paint them over, the walls remained scratched with blunt correspondence between niggers and kikes…
Like most of this tome, this passage is weird in any number of ways.
And of course, like every other episode in the book, it ends with racism. Which is always “topic A,” with Mr. Obama.

As for as a birth certificate. Anyone at anytime can go to any city records office and obtain a copy of someone’s birth certificate. Even if Obama refused, which I seriously doubt he’s even been asked, if someone wanted his birth certificate bad enough they would have it by now. This is a non-issue like so many other dirt slinging tactics the GOP strategy has tried and failed and only proceeded to sink their own ship. That “swiftboating” that was tried on John Kerry has runned it course and out lived itself. People are sick and tired of all the dirt and that’s why McCain has fallen in the polls.

I voted straight red ticket today. It was the first time in my over 30 years of voting that I didn’t vote for the democratic nominee for president. It’s really sad what has happened the party that I supported for so long. As a woman, it breaks my heart that this country is attacking Palin like this. She might as well have a scarlett letter on her like an earlier time in history. A woman in this country has to be damn near perfect to be elected to office. We have elected lots of men and some of them were really bad and some were good. We have never elected a woman to the highest office and probably never will because first there was Hillary and now Palin and the public scrutiny and ridicule that they both have received is downright pathetic. What makes it worse is when it comes from other women. Truely strong and real feminist women would vote for Palin, not because of her views but because she is a woman. Women make up over half the population in this country and they are not represented very well in Washington. The only way we as women can change that is to elect a lot of women. Some may be good and some may be bad, but we need to elect a lot of them.

Nancy- the ObamaBots have been circulating a “fake” one online! That is all we got. Do not believe those who tell you to go to various links to see it – It is a phony!
That is why the case which was filled in PA has taken so long to be resolved. Do the ObamaBots think that if that Certificate was so “CLEAN” the courts would not have decided yet? I hear that there was a second lawsuit regarding this issue but I have not been able to confirm if it is true.
All I also know is that ironically he is in Hawaii to see his grandma while just a few days ago, a motion was filled to move this case to Hawaii’s Supreme Court.
P.S. Why is Obama NOT telling ANYONE about his grandma’s mysterious illness? Come on! I hope that both Obama and the grandma are always in good health but something something is wrong here. Then there is this wierd thing about she not cancelling a talking assignment in Texas and insisting on flying back to Alaska for 8 hours to give birth – all this after she supposed to have had a water break. Has she ever explained why she did that? That is so irresponsible to the unborn child – every minute after water break is a high risk for the child. Are there any records of medical attention given to her in the flight?

We, as parents, are well aware of the importance of our teachers who teach and program our children. We also know how important it is for our children to play with good-thinking children growing up.
Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.
The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.
The Democrats have targeted young people, knowing how easy it is to bring forth whatever is needed to program their minds. I know this process well. I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so-called peace movement. The radicals of that era were successful in giving the communists power to bring forth the killing fields and slaughter 2.5 million people in Cambodia and South Vietnam. Did they stop the war, or did they bring the war to those innocent people? In the end, they turned their backs on all the horror and suffering they helped create and walked away.
Those same leaders who were in the streets in the ’60s are very powerful today in their work to bring down the Iraq war and to attack our president, and they have found their way into our schools. William Ayers is a good example of that.
Thank God, today, we have a strong generation of young soldiers who know exactly who they are and what they must do to protect our freedom and our democracy. And we have the leadership of Gen. David Petraeus, who has brought hope and stability to Iraq and prevented the terrorists from establishing a base in that country. Our soldiers are lifting us to an example of patriotism at a time when we’ve almost forgotten who we are and what is at stake.
If Mr. Obama had his way, he would have pulled our troops from Iraq years ago and initiated an unprecedented bloodbath, turning over that country to the barbarianism of our enemies. With what he has openly stated about his plans for our military, and his lack of understanding about the true nature of our enemies, there’s not a cell in my body that can accept the idea that Mr. Obama can keep us safe from the terrorists around the world, and from Iran, which is making great strides toward getting the atomic bomb. And while a misleading portrait of Mr. Obama is being perpetrated by a media controlled by the Democrats, the Obama camp has sent out people to attack the greatness of Sen. John McCain, whose suffering and courage in a Hanoi prison camp is an American legend.
Gen. Wesley Clark, who himself has shame upon him, having been relieved of his command, has done their bidding and become a lying fool in his need to demean a fellow soldier and a true hero.
This is a perilous time, and more than ever, the world needs a united and strong America. If, God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way.

While there is consensus that the American health care system is bloated with waste, eliminating enough to save $2,500 per family would require simultaneous and synergistic solutions to a host of problems that have proved intractable for decades.
Even if the next president and Congress can muster the political will, analysts question whether significant savings would materialize in as little as four years, or even in 10. But as Mr. Obama confronts an electorate that is deeply unsettled by escalating health costs, he is offering a precise “chicken in every pot” guarantee based on numbers that are largely unknowable. Furthermore, it is not completely clear what he is promising.
His words about lowering “premiums” by $2,500 for the average family of four have been fairly consistent. But the health policy advisers who formulated the figure say it actually represents the average family’s share of savings not only in premiums paid by individuals, but also in premiums paid by employers and in tax-supported health programs like Medicare and Medicaid.
“What we’re trying to do,” said one of the advisers, David M. Cutler, in explaining the gap between Mr. Obama’s words and his intent, “is find a way to talk to people in a way they understand.”
The original arithmetic was somewhat basic. In May 2007, three Harvard professors who are unpaid advisers to the Obama campaign — Mr. Cutler, David Blumenthal and Jeffrey Liebman — produced a memorandum offering their “best guess” that a menu of changes would produce savings of at least $200 billion a year (it has since been revised to $214 billion). That would amount to about 8 percent of the $2.5 trillion in health care spending projected for 2009, when the next president takes office.
The memorandum attributed specific savings to several broad initiatives, with the numbers plucked from recent studies. Investments in computerized medical records would save $77 billion a year, the advisers wrote. Reducing administrative costs in the insurance industry would yield up to $46 billion. Improving prevention programs and chronic disease management would be worth $81 billion.
The total savings were then divided by the country’s population, multiplied for a family of four, and rounded down slightly to a number that was easy to grasp: $2,500. The average cost of family coverage bought through an employer was $12,106 in 2007, with workers paying $3,281 of that amount, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation, a health research group.
Mr. Obama aspires to cover the country’s 47 million uninsured by requiring insurers to accept all comers, regardless of their health status, and by providing generous tax credits to low-income workers. The tax credits could be used to buy into a new federal health plan or private plans marketed through a government exchange.
The subsidies are expensive, estimated at well over $100 billion. Other components of the Obama plan also bear up-front costs, like a pledge to spend $50 billion over five years to speed the computerization of health records, $6 billion a year on tax credits to small businesses that provide coverage to workers, and an unspecified amount to buffer businesses from high-cost insurance claims.
The source Mr. Obama has identified to pay for them — the repeal of President Bush’s tax cuts for those making more than $250,000 — would cover only about half. That means additional health care savings would be needed, not only to keep premiums under control but also to help pay for the subsidies.
A consensus has emerged among health economists that at least a third of the country’s spending on health care is unnecessary. Both Mr. Obama, of Illinois, and his Republican rival, Senator John McCain of Arizona, agree that significant sums could be saved through reductions in unneeded procedures and improvements in electronic record-keeping, prevention and chronic disease management.
But the dollar values Mr. Obama has attached to individual components of his plan are beginning to attract scrutiny. In particular, the Congressional Budget Office issued a report in May questioning the amount to be saved from the computerization of health systems.
Mr. Obama took his estimate of $77 billion a year from a 2005 study by the RAND Corporation (which cautioned that reductions of that magnitude would not emerge for 15 years). The Congressional analysts found, however, that for various methodological reasons the RAND study was “not an appropriate guide” to potential savings.
This month, Mr. Obama’s health advisers tried to recast the debate so that the questioning of any one number would not undermine the plan’s broader credibility. They enlisted eight health policy experts to sign a letter that, without endorsing the math behind any single initiative, proclaimed it was “not only possible, but likely” that Mr. Obama could save $200 billion annually. They did not say by when.
Mr. Cutler, who helped collect the signatures, said he and his colleagues had decided “that our attempt to lay out one plausible scenario for the savings had created more problems than it had solved.” He added: “Putting the debate where this message puts it — do you believe we can save 8 percent of health spending through a major series of public and private reforms — asks the question in a way that is much more productive than the issue of ‘Do you believe a single estimate among many, many studies?’ ”
Mr. Obama’s economic policy director, Jason Furman, said the campaign’s estimates were conservative and asserted that much of the savings would come quickly. “We think we could get to $2,500 in savings by the end of the first term, or be very close to it,” Mr. Furman said.
The campaign won additional backing this week from Kenneth E. Thorpe of Emory University, an authority on health care costs who helped formulate Bill Clinton’s failed plan in 1993. In an assessment that he initiated in coordination with the campaign, Mr. Thorpe wrote that if all of Mr. Obama’s proposals were enacted they would reduce health spending by between $203 billion and $273 billion by 2012. He calculated that half of the savings would accrue to the federal government.
The Obama advisers said that while not all of the savings would translate into lower premiums, consumers would gain in other ways. The savings to employers would be passed along as higher wages, they predicted, and the savings to government would eventually mean either lower taxes or added benefits.
But whether employers and governments respond that way cannot be guaranteed, particularly in a difficult economy. And a number of health policy experts have questioned whether the $2,500 projection is either fiscally or politically realistic. Reducing health care costs, they emphasized, means taking money from someone’s pocket and rationing care that Americans have come to expect, a recipe for stiff resistance.
“There is no easy money because, as the saying goes, one person’s fraud and abuse is another person’s income,” said Joseph R. Antos of the American Enterprise Institute. “I wouldn’t think that four years or eight years or probably 10 years will be enough to see numbers of that sort.”
The Commonwealth Fund, a health research group in New York, published a study in December projecting that a robust overhaul consisting of 15 broad initiatives would generate savings of only 6 percent after 10 years. “Doing it by the end of a first term is ambitious and would require tough policies,” said Karen Davis, the group’s president.
Jonathan B. Oberlander, who teaches health policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, called it wishful thinking. “Do they have the potential to generate significant savings in the long run?” Dr. Oberlander asked. “Yes. Do I believe they will produce substantial savings in the short run that can be used to finance Obama’s plan? No.”

Does Obama have NPD?

The 2008 presidential election in America is the most crucial election in this country’s history, not because the issues are that critical but because of Sen. Barack Obama. The Democratic presidential candidate’s language, posture and demeanor suggest that he may suffer from narcissistic personality disorder, or NPD. NPD is a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration and a lack of empathy. The following are some of the symptoms of NPD that can be seen in Sen. Obama:
He subtly misrepresents facts, opportunistically shifts positions, ignores data that conflict with his fantasy world, is overly confident and acts presidential despite commensurate merits and his modest life achievements, considers himself above the law, talks about himself in the third person, has a messianic vision of himself and his “mission,” displays false modesty while often evincing haughtiness, sublimates aggression, holds grudges and behaves as an eternal adolescent. These are narcissistic traits as seen in Sen. Obama by Dr. Sam Vaknin. The author of “The Malignant Self Love,” Vaknin states, “Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist.”
NPD is the prime disorder experienced by all the madmen of history – from Hitler to Stalin, Mao, Kim, Pol Pot, Osama, Khomeini, Saddam and Idi Amin. These men wreaked havoc and killed millions. They looked normal. Few suspected their insanity until it was too late.
Obama shares something else with these infamous narcissists: a chaotic childhood. One determining factor in the development of NPD is childhood abuse, such as the neglecting of his or her emotional needs.
Pathological narcissism is not run-of-the-mill narcissism – someone with a hedonistic or self-centered sense of self – but rather someone with a very weak sense of self. A child who feels inferior, due to real or perceived social rejection, will try to compensate his feeling of inferiority by a subconscious neurotic mechanism, which the pioneering psychiatrist Alfred Adler coined “Superiority Complex.”
Such a person compensates his devalued and injured self with puffery, pomposity and by projecting a false image of majesty and authority. He retreats into a bubble universe of fantasy, in which he is loved, respected and omnipotent. All children create such a fantasy world. Narcissists simply don’t leave it. Since, due to their extreme feeling of inferiority, they don’t fit in the real world, they refuge into this bubble world of fantasy and never get out. This world of pretence becomes to them as real as the real world, to the point that they can’t tell the difference. When Obama acts presidential, he is simply acting out his childhood fantasy of omnipotence and grandeur. Emotionally, he is still a hurt little boy neglected and unloved, in the body and mind of a grown up man.
Narcissists have the emotional maturity of a child, or even an animal, but the intellect of a man. They feel like a beast, but think like a human. What makes narcissists dangerous is their lack of conscience, combined with their superior intelligence and their superb performance ability that fool many. They are predators that outsmart you.
To a narcissist, reality and fantasy are intertwined. He does not just pretend to be omnipotent, omniscient and superior to others; he actually believes it to be so. His delusions of grandiosity are real to him. That is why Obama acts presidential, despite his nugatory life achievements, lack of experience and complete ignorance in economic, political and military matters, as his flip-flopping shows. Obama is a cipher, but in his mind and those of his worshipers, such as Oprah Winfrey, he is “the One,” the messiah who holds the key to all human sufferings.
Narcissism is not just a character flaw, but a mental disorder. Pathological narcissists are dangerous because they look normal and they are intelligent, when in reality they live in a bubble world of fantasy. It is this incoherence, this disjunction between reality and fantasy that makes them overly confident, self-assured and authoritative.
Narcissists disguise their feeling of inferiority by projecting unusual calmness, confidence, assertiveness, dominance and focus, and almost always possess superb thespian, communication and oratorical skills. These are traits that make one charismatic and attract a stampede of votaries like flies to sugar. Narcissists are needy people who crave attention. They develop these skills and act them out with regal exquisiteness to attract love, respect and admiration. They are performers, actors, slick chameleons.
Sadly, all the grace, exuberance, equanimity, charm, positive energy and magnetism that narcissists project, are pretence. They have the same function that the Styrofoam Greek columns at the Democratic National Convention had – to impress. The world of the narcissist is the magical world of smoke and mirrors. He is an illusionist.
NPD, and people’s lack of understanding of it, has made it possible for many insane individuals to rise to the pinnacles of power. It is to this disorder that we owe most of the carnage of history.
When the Bible describes Satan, it gives a textbook definition of narcissism. Narcissists are charming, charismatic, intelligent, persuasive, but deceitful and ruthless. They can seduce multitudes.
When World War II ended and its horrors became known, the world said, “Never Again.” “Never Again” can only work if we choose our leaders wisely. Once a madman is in power, it is already too late.
In an article entitled “Understanding Obama: The Making of a Fuhrer,” I have shown many narcissistic traits that can be observed in Sen. Obama. Should the senator have NPD, all issues in this election would pale in comparison to what is at stake.
Imagine someone with the mindset of Hitler, Khomeini or Kim Jong-il in the White House, with Congress and Senate at his feet. Can you think of a more dreadful scenario?
In the case of Hitler, the only issue that really mattered was his sanity. Instead, the Germans were hoodwinked by his charisma, his oratorical skill and his vacuous promises of change. They paid a hefty price for their negligence. Shouldn’t we learn from their mistakes?
It makes no sense that cops and pilots should be required to take psychiatric evaluation prior to being trusted with a gun or an aircraft, whereas there is no such requirement for those aspiring to run a country and be commander in chief, in charge of weapons of mass destruction.
It is time for the people of the world to demand that those who want to become head of any country submit to rigorous mental checkups. Millions of lives depend on the sanity of these leaders. If the physical health of presidential candidates is important, how much more important is their mental health?
There is no basis upon which to assume Obama would become a murderous tyrant, but there are a number of disturbing traits he shares with murderous world leaders that are worrisome. He can dispel our fears by submitting to a mental checkup.
In the spirit of fairness, I am asking all candidates to submit to this test. Psychiatric evaluation for leaders seeking positions of authority must become mandatory in all countries. Without it we are playing Russian roulette with war and our lives. Imagine how many millions of lives would have been spared only in the last century if aspiring leaders were screened and madmen barred from gaining power.

If enough people become concerned about Sen. Obama’s mental health, they may think twice before casting their votes for him.

It is what it is: Obama allied with scoundrels
In the best tradition of Bill Clinton’s declaration that the answer to the question of whether he was having an affair depended on “what the definition of is is,” Sen. Barack Obama was clearly concealing the truth when he said that William Ayers was “just a guy who lives in my neighborhood.”
The Ayers-Obama connection was, in fact, an intimate collaboration that it led to the only executive or administrative experience in Obama’s life.
After Walter Annenberg’s foundation offered several hundred million dollars to American public schools in the mid-’90s, Ayers applied for $50 million for Chicago. His purpose was to “raise political consciousness” in schools.
After he won the grant, Ayers’ group chose Obama to distribute the $50 million, and the future senator raised another $60 million from other civic groups to augment it. In doing so, he was following Ayers’ admonition to grant the funds to “external” organizations, like American Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), to pair with schools and conduct programs to radicalize and politicize the students.
Reading, math and science achievement tests counted for little in the grants, but the school’s success in preaching a radical agenda determined how much money it got.
Obama should have run screaming at the sight of Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn. Ayers has admitted bombing the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon, and his wife was imprisoned for failing to cooperate in solving the robbery of a Brink’s car in which two police were killed. Far from remorse, Ayers told The New York Times [NYT], in September 2001, that he wished he “could have done more.” Ayers only avoided conviction when the evidence against him turned out to be contained in illegal wiretaps. He was, in fact, guilty as sin.
So let’s sum up Obama’s Chicago connections. His chief financial supporter was Tony Rezko, now on his way to prison. His spiritual adviser was the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, of “God damn America” fame. And the guy who got him his only administrative job is former terrorist Ayers.
Not a good recommendation for a president.

In his first two years in the U.S. Senate, Barack Obama was back in his familiar role as member of the minority party. Republicans tightly controlled the U.S. Senate, and it was very difficult for any Democratic Senator to get a bill passed. During that time, Senator Obama sponsored 152 bills and resolutions, and cosponsored 427 more.
Senator Obama thus far has two bills which became law, that have his name on them. The Lugar-Obama bill which I’ve already discussed, expands efforts to destroy WMDs (e.g. in the former Soviet states). And the Coburn-Obama Transparency Act. The Transparency Act created a website managed by OMB for ensuring transparency of funds allocated to government agencies. It tracks all federal spending, and allows Google-type searches based on agency, types of funding, etc.
One of his first bills after being elected to the U.S. Senate was a proposal to increased Pell Grants, thereby fulfilling a campaign promise. Unfortunately, in the tightly controlled Republican Senate, this bill didn’t make it out of committee.
Perhaps his most impressive accomplishment in the U.S. Senate happened on January 18, 2007. That is when the Senate passed a major ethics/lobbying reform bill. (Senator Obama had voted against a prior ethics reform bill that he said wasn’t tough enough.) Newspapers give Senators Obama and Russ Feingold significant credit for insisting that this latest ethics bill included tough measures. Obama risked some political capital to get this bill passed. The bill bans gifts/meals from lobbyists; puts an end to subsidized corporate jets; requires full disclosure of earmarks (who are the earmarks for, and for what purpose); places restrictions on retiring members of Congress going immediately into lobbying; requires lobbyists to disclose bundling of contributions to Congress, candidates or committees. This was a HUGE victory for Senator Obama. It still needs to be reconciled with a House version of the bill, and then signed by the president.
Senator Democratic leader Harry Reid has designated Barack Obama as the Democrats’ point man on ethics, citing three reasons for his selection: whenever Obama walks into a room, everyone stops talking and listens to what he has to say; Obama is known for having unquestionable ethics and integrity; Obama’s expertise on ethics and campaign reform while in Springfield made him a leading expert on those same issues in the U.S. Senate. This last point can’t be emphasized enough. The fact that Obama mastered, and led the fight, on so many complex political issues in eight years in Springfield gave him a huge head start in addressing the same complex issues at the federal level.
Senator Obama has also sponsored the Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007. It would cap troops at January 10, 2007 levels, begin withdrawal by May 1, 2007, and call for complete withdrawal of combat brigades by March 31 of 2008. Withdrawal would be postponed if Iraq meets certain benchmarks. This is consistent with the Iraq Study Group. (Solely from memory, I believe this study group was chaired by Lee Hamilton and James Baker III.) Bill Richardson wants complete withdrawal by end of 2007. Hillary Clinton has called for a phased withdrawal of troops starting in 90 days. John Edwards 40,000-50,000 troops withdrawn immediately, and the remainder withdrawn within 12-18 months.
Senator Obama also has experience and judgment on foreign policy. He is on the senate committees for foreign relations; homeland security; veterans affairs; health, education, labor and pensions. He studied political science with an emphasis on international relations and Columbia. And he’s gone on three major trips overseas as part of an official Senate delegation, meeting with U.S. generals, and/or foreign leaders. He and Senator Lugar travelled to the former Soviet states to inspect the destruction of WMDs; he traveled to Iraq and met with U.S. generals, and also toured Kuwait, Jordan, Israel, Palestinian territories (he told Palestinian Authority President MahMoud Abbas that US would never recognize Hamas leaders until they renounced mission to eliminate Israel.); he visited various African countries, including Kenya (his father’s homeland), and publicly took an AIDS test to show people in Africa that it was ok and even socially responsible to have an AIDS test.
He has backed various plans for lessening reliance on Middle East oil. He has offered the big three domestic automakers a deal: the federal government pays 10% of health care costs of their retired employees, if the automakers will commit to building more fuel efficient cars. He has also called for increased fuel efficiency standards (3 percent every year for 15 years). He’s encouraged use of ethnanol as an alternative fuel

Having researched this — It seems there is NO LAW compelling candidates to release medical information. Arguments are made both for and against this topic — Eisenhowers should have died based on statistical predictions derived from his medical records but didn’t. Tsongas was in remission from cancer when he ran — and went out of remission when he stopped running. God knows how many President’s in addition to Nixon suffer from depression and anxiety — that changes day to day is more likely than not — situational — by the event — Kennedy popped pain pills for his back — hmm let’s see — McCain has/had skin cancer — treated — — let’s not forget age is irrelevant — as Senator John Glenn went up on the space shuttle at age 80. Obama smokes cigarettes – -claims he quit — but bums theme off of everyone on his campaign — that would characterize him as an addict –how would he be in a long meeting without his cigarettes? Or under stress w/out his cigarettes?

Palin had a child at age 44 — shops at consignment shops and has a bunch of republican advisors who spend too much on clothes and a bunch of other advisors who are annoyed she’s not taking their advice — and a bunch of media types speculating on whether or not she should have a talk show —

The Obama-Ayers Coverup [Update]
Will the media ask questions about the Obama-Ayers relationship and its beginnings before 1995, when Ayers helped arranged the hiring of Obama as head of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge and maintained a close relationship of its board for years?
Here are some questions the media should be asking and did not ask throughout the long primary season, abdicating its responsibility. Imagine what would have happened if the media had fully vetted Obama and practiced journalism as they should have done.
1.When did Barack Obama first meet Bill Ayers? Was it in New York City? Under what circumstances? Was it at Cooper Union when Ayers was a graduate student there and Obama at Columbia? Was it at Columbia when Ayers was at the teachers’ college?
2.Did Ayers play any role in Obama coming to Chicago as an organizer in 1985? Did the Ayers influence the Woods Fund in any way to subsidize through the Gamaliel Foundation Obama’s job? (The Woods Fund was created by the family of the Safari Coal Company, a major supplier of Commonwealth Edison, whose CEO was Thomas Ayers.)
3.Did Ayers introduce Obama the organizer to his family, his father Tom and brother John? Did they involve Obama in the school reform movement they led in Chicago?
4.Did the Ayers family help Obama become a summer associate at Sidley Austen, the father’s company’s law firm?
5.Did Bernardine Dohrn know Michelle Robinson when they both worked at Sidley at the same time? Did she or Ayers introduce Michelle to Barack at Sidley?
6.Did Dohrn, who attended the University of Chicago Law School with Judson Miner, play any part in helping Obama get a job at the Davis Miner law firm?
UPDATE: It was 40 years ago today that William Ayers was arrested at the Democratic national convention — just like the “Recreate68″ extreme-left protestors at this convention:
It was forty years ago today that Barack Obama friend and political ally, and unrepentant terrorists, William Ayers was arrested while protesting the DNC proceedings. William Ayers set no bombs that day, but he was only working his way up from petty criminal to domestic terrorist. And of course this was long before Barack Obama and he struck up the friendship that would lead Ayers to launch Obama’s political career at his house.
Still, the McCain campaign would take this opportunity to remind voters that those responsible for the violence in 1968 have since been incorporated into the party they once protested, and have been revered even by the likes of Barack Obama, and this despite the failure, in the case of Ayers, to ever apologize for the violence he committed against the American people. Problems with endorsing Obama

My, my. In their dumbfounding endorsement of Barack Obama, it seems to me that members of the Tribune’s editorial board must not have first read some pages in their own paper. Obama’s negatives have been cited ad nauseam, so I won’t repeat all of them. But there are some downsides in his candidacy that were not addressed in the unpersuasive endorsement statement, and they are a big deal to me. They include:
• The senator is a radical socialist with stated preferences for the Marxist notion of redistributing the wealth. Does the editorial board want the U.S. to morph into the socialist model of a dying Europe? Does it want our culture destroyed?
• With the likely veto-proof Democrat majority in Congress, a President Obama will have the opportunity to name justices to the U.S. Supreme Court. Is it the desire of the editorial board to have a leftist majority on that bench to creatively rewrite the Constitution and restructure society without regard to what citizens may think?
• Much closer to home, the editorial board has observed the wonderful things that happen in Illinois when one party controls Chicago, Cook County and the state. Does the editorial board want the entire nation governed as miserably as is Illinois with Democrats controlling the White House, Congress and the judiciary?
I don’t advocate any of these destructive directions for our country.

Ayers didn’t spend time in jail because of technicality——–they thru out the wiretapes of him stating he had done it. In fact, Ayers is very proud of his terrorism, still brags about it, and says he didn’t do enough. He also said that he was “Guilty as hell, Free as a Bird. America is Great.” And Obama choses to hang around this guy, and have his children around this guy? Obama is incapable of making good decisions.

So hilarious to read these things… so may people need to research the facts! so yea the “rich” are going to be paying all the taxes if we elect Obama… but obviously some don’t know who the “rich” are… it’s the middle class that will be paying the most and will be supporting those who are tooo lazy to get off the couch and get a job!come on people … really? u want to elect a muslim american to be the president of our country? It is what it is: Obama allied with scoundrels
In the best tradition of Bill Clinton’s declaration that the answer to the question of whether he was having an affair depended on “what the definition of is is,” Sen. Barack Obama was clearly concealing the truth when he said that William Ayers was “just a guy who lives in my neighborhood.”
The Ayers-Obama connection was, in fact, an intimate collaboration that it led to the only executive or administrative experience in Obama’s life.
After Walter Annenberg’s foundation offered several hundred million dollars to American public schools in the mid-’90s, Ayers applied for $50 million for Chicago. His purpose was to “raise political consciousness” in schools.
After he won the grant, Ayers’ group chose Obama to distribute the $50 million, and the future senator raised another $60 million from other civic groups to augment it. In doing so, he was following Ayers’ admonition to grant the funds to “external” organizations, like American Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), to pair with schools and conduct programs to radicalize and politicize the students.
Reading, math and science achievement tests counted for little in the grants, but the school’s success in preaching a radical agenda determined how much money it got.
Obama should have run screaming at the sight of Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn. Ayers has admitted bombing the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon, and his wife was imprisoned for failing to cooperate in solving the robbery of a Brink’s car in which two police were killed. Far from remorse, Ayers told The New York Times [NYT], in September 2001, that he wished he “could have done more.” Ayers only avoided conviction when the evidence against him turned out to be contained in illegal wiretaps. He was, in fact, guilty as sin.
So let’s sum up Obama’s Chicago connections. His chief financial supporter was Tony Rezko, now on his way to prison. His spiritual adviser was the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, of “God damn America” fame. And the guy who got him his only administrative job is former terrorist Ayers.
Not a good recommendation for a president.

Obama has only been in the US Senate 3 years and has spent most of that time running for President or voting “present.” That is why the pro-Obama media (MSNBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, etc.) keep smearing Governor Palin on a daily basis, in order to distract the American people from the fact that it is Obama who lacks the experience and is not ready to be President. Moreover, as Joe Biden and Hillary said, Obama is not ready to be President. Moreover, Biden also said he would be honored to be on the same ticket with McCain. Moreover, Biden also said that, due to Obama’s inexperience, within 6 months of an Obama presidentcy, there will be an international crises to test Obama, and Biden did not feel that Obama would make the right response. McCain didn’t release his medical records, why should Obama? Not sure why Palin should either, except for the fact that she said she would.
Does anyone doubt that young, athletic, ball-playing Obama has the health and stamina for four years of leading in tough times? McCain is a cancer survivor showing obvious signs of mental aging. McCain is tough, no doubt about that, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him keel over in the next several years, and I just don’t get that vibe off Obama. The note from his doctor works for me, and I find the obsession with Palin’s medical records prurient and inappropriate. She’s obviously in tip top health and if she wants to supply a note from her doctor too (maybe there already is one) that works for me just as well. All these crazy stories about whether she had her daughter’s baby or vice versa or whatever are absurd and repellent.

Two questions?
How did Obama steal the primary? They all agreed to not have their names on the ballots in Michigan and Florida. Every candidate knew that the votes were not going to be counted. Delgates probably had more loyalty to Hillary than Obama but went with him anyway so please explain. I liked both Obama and Clinton so I would have been happy with either but I would like clarity.
Second question why were the republicans not crying sexism when Hillary was running. I do not think that Hillary was mistreated because they didn’t like her coming into the primaries but the things said about her while her husband was president were way worse than the fact people call Sarah Palin dumb or misinformed. Republicans, Palin included called her a whiner and yet now they whine and cry about every question and request. Palin even refered to her as a bitch when she lost.
So explain where the sexism has come from. Do not mention the clothes thing because the same thing happened to Edwards. Do not say anything about being asked how she will be V.P. with 5 kids. Because we all know in society women are usually the ones that take care of the kids and since she has kids that are still minors this would be something that has never been done before. Nobody said she couldn’t do it they just asked how.

Health Records: Honestly, who cares? The election is in seven days. Obama is a healthy 47 year old man who has picked an outstanding vice president in the event that something happens. McCain is a 72 year old man with a history of an aggressive form of cancer who picked a completely unprepared running mate. Neither has released their health record in any reasonable manner. I could care less about Biden and Palin.
Obama is a socialist: I have to wonder at those that cry socialist at Obama, when the current Republican administration nationalized banks, supported the auto industry, and bought up insurance companies-all on the taxpayers dime. We are all owners of these companies through the decisions of the Bush administration. Where were the calls against socialism then? In addition, our country is BASED on a redistribution of wealth.
Obama’s Birth Certificate: This was released by the campaign this summer. It has been analyzed by multiple groups and deemed to be authentic. Plus, as karen marie mentioned above, John McCain was born in Panama. Your citizenship is determined by your parents.
The point is: Neither of these candidates have executive experience. A comparison of the two campaigns shows vast differences. Obama has led a disciplined, well-executed, and excellently organized campaign. He has surrounded himself with the best of every area. McCain has been erratic, uneducated, and spontaneous. He surrounded himself with the very people that brought him down in 2000. There is no way I want my government run IN ANY WAY REMOTELY like the way that McCain has run his campaign.

And I should make clear that I’m apologizing not because you’ve threatened me with lawyers, or with “reporting” me, etc. I think most people who spend any amount of time online know that there are no “teeth” in any of those options. So people pretty much say and do what they want to each other online without fear.
No, I apologize because I realize that I’ve been terribly unkind to you and I can only act that way for so long until my conscience gets the better of me. I can see that what I’ve said has genuinely upset you, and I sincerely regret that. So let me say that I apologize for the personal things I’ve said about you. And I renounce and repudiate them here. I’m sure that none of them are even remotely true.
That said, I would also advise you not to participate in these kinds of message boards if you’re going to get as upset as you did above. You’re quite right that neither I nor anyone else here knows you. Therefore, whatever we say to you or about you here is meaningless. The insults are about letters on a page, not you. Therefore, you shouldn’t feel compelled to argue with someone who insults you online–e.g., providing particulars about your family, your name, your sexuality etc. That’s not only unnecessary, it provides the insulter with more fodder that can be used to insult you. So, in short, either get tough and learn to ignore insults online without replying or justifying, or stop going to message boards. Taking to heart people’s insults only makes things worse, and upsets you to boot.
Now let me tell you why I did it, as misguided and as unfair to you as it was: I’ve seen the things that the McCain side has said recently about Obama: He’s a “Muslim,” a “terrorist,” a “socialist,” “not like us,” “un-American,” a “militant,” a “subversive,” a “radical,” “not a citizen,” etc. All of these accusations are totally, patently untrue. They are every bit as untrue as the things I said about you in previous posts. I made those up out of whole cloth; that’s exactly what the McCain/Palin campaign has done with their “charges against Obama. Each one has been completely, totally and repeatedly disproved. Yet to people who WANT to believe such nonsense, they take on a life of their own. Just like what I said to you before.

Is Sarah Palin’s medical record coming anytime soon? Since today is midweek and the campaign promised early this week!

The question is WHY DO MCCAIN/PALIN REFUSE TO RELEASE PALIN’S MEDICAL RECORDS? The only conclusion is there must be something to hide. McCain had something to hide but released his 1500 pages to a closed group of reporters for a limited time with no recording allowed. I guess Palin’s records are shorter but even more revealing of Palin’s own life, family and honesty.

I’m glad America is finally waking up to the truth about republicans vs democrats. Republicans believe in supply-side economics which says, “Make the rich richer so they can buy more things and put the rest of us to work in an effort to trickle-down the wealth”. Bill Clinton believed in a different economic theory, “Give the money to those who need it and they will spend it.” After 8 years of Clinton, American families earned $9000 a year more. After almost 8 years of Bush, American families lost $2000 a year. Is there a better comparison for the two parties than that?
The struggle in America is not white vs minority, it is haves vs have-nots.
America will be a much better country when we work together instead of dividing us by race. Obama cares more about the majority than republicans. I never understood why anyone who wasn’t rich would vote for tax cuts for the wealthy and the elimination of the middle class. America’s best days are ahead of us when the ‘old boys network’ is voted out of office.

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read “Vote Obama, I need the money.” I laughed.
Once in the restaurant my server had on a “Obama 08″ tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference–just imagine the coincidence.
When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need–the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.
I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I’ve decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.
At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.
I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

When Obama got elected, the waiter went to college and got a law degree because of Obama’s investment in young people. He then got a great job in a new law firm which bought the company you worked for. You lose your job, your home, and become homeless. One day the homeless guy you gave 10 bucks to see’s you sleeping in the alley next to the restaurant where you met him. He remembers you, and asks if you need a job. You say yes, he helps you into his new fully electric SUV, takes you to the other side of town and sales you to a 3rd world sex slave ring where you get banged by hundreds of ex-waiters on a company trip to Bangkok.
That kinda makes me laugh my arse off!
